Oh, we are taking krabby along? i thought it was someone else.

So, any ideas for his level 100 evolution? I was thinking in growing fuckhuge, but maybe something else?
>>
>>46544990
A Giant Crab evolution might be fun, but doesn't make sense in a world of dungeons; he wouldn't be able to fit in the hallways of a lot of dungeons.
A humanoid evolution would make more sense, but seems like it would be bland.

Just because an idea is creative doesn't mean it's a good idea.
>>
>>46544990
Maybe Slightly bigger with small sub claws?
>>
>>46545049
Alright so neither humanoid nor huge? maybe just a slightly bigger and much tougher crab? like that crab pokemon, what was its name... kingler?
>>

correct it also grew a crown of spikes on its head/back.
>>
>>46545104
You could go humanoid, or giant. If you do, it should be able to switch forms on command, though, so that it can still enter dungeons.

Uhmm I think it would be fun to have a super heavily armored crab warrior buddy, but a ox sized crab would be interesting too.

Let's go with the large crab, I guess. But, does that mean:

Eldric Krabby (front line)
Atruma Tanis (Middle line)
Lyra Fahima (Back Line)

"Master, what is it?" -Fahima looks back at us as we look at her

We just noticed, but monsters tend to have melee classes, ranged attacker classes, and... Lyra is the only actual "support" we have isn't she?

That is to say, she has a useful aura effect which recovers 10% of our mana every round.

Tanis. Tanky dps
Atrume. Tanky dps
Fahima. Dps
Lyra. Dps
Krabby. Tank

We look at Krabby, then give him a thumbs up.

He blows some bubbles at us. Is that how he smiles?

"I was thinking if we should have brought along a healer. Maybe Zoe?"
"You can heal, right?"
"Yes, but..."
"We'll be alright, then" -she seems rather confidant

Of course, we went to Eopolis for this. Mostly because of what Stella told us about the floor teleport scrolls. What floor should we start at?

As it happens, they do have scrolls leading to the 200th floor.

It makes us wonder who's the madman that went down to the floor 200th and further down so that there would be teleport waypoints that far down in the first place... ah there's a portrait of him on the wall and... it's grandpa.

Of fource it was grandpa.

"..."
"Is there a problem, sir?" -the clerk asks us as we stare at the portrait
"Not... really?"
"It will be 20 gold."
"Right, here you go."

With the scroll, we teleport to the 200th floor waypoint room, then we call forth our pets out of our menagerie and instruct them to be on the defensive and let us do most of the fighting.

As soon as we were ready, step out of the waypoint room and run head first into a group of 4 lvl 200 earth elementals.

"Don't get in front of me, we need to fight them in the hallways!"

Fighting in a (relatively) thin hallway, only two elementals can come at us at the same time.

These things are slow but strong and notably tough.

Oh my bad, then its just black giant praying mantis, not elementals.

***

Krabby walks in next to us and we engage the insects while the girls attack from behind.

Atruma and Tanis work together to push back any foe that gets past us, and that way we keep going back and forth along the hallway, retreating and advancing while Fahima and Lyra cast fire and water spells at the mantis' group until they are down.

Honestly, we probably could have left them in the waypoint room and gone out on our own to get them exp, but this way they get battle experience as well.

Level alone is not going to do you much good if you dont actually know battle.

Since it's "just" the floor 100, we move around slowly but surely, cleaning out monster groups as the girls gain experience.

Tanis and Atruma were already at level 100, so it is Krabby, Lyra and Fahima who level up the most.

Our pet crab has gone from level 30 to 70 in a evening, and his shell is now marked with cuts and wounds, but his vigour doesn't seems the least bit diminished.

"I am almost level 100, master." -says Fahima after the latest fight is over.
"Ah, that's good. Does your species evolve into something, or do you get a special skill, like the dragons do?"

I suppose so. Since Fahima is a Salamander which is a lamia-type, I thought she would have an evolution in common with Lizardmen.
Is Ifrit supposed to be a magic and support-heavy evolution?
If so, a balanced option should exist, I think.
Instead of calling it Dragonewt, maybe call it Djinn instead?

As for the portrait, I like it. Whatever evolution gets chosen, let's keep that look.

"What advantage would each have?"
"An ifrit is more of a spellcaster, while the ability boost would make me more of a warrior."
"I see. I don't want you wandering into the front lines, so please go for the ifrit."
"Yes master."

Also, I don't want to imagine a muscle girl Fahima. She's cute as she is, so, please no.

"What should I choose, Master? I can accept an ability or an attribute boost"

This time is Lyra. Is she also close to 100 now?

"Can you explain them in more detail?"
"The ability would allow me to shift between a more humanoid form or this form, and allow me to wear equipment, like I suspect lady Fahima's will. The attribute boost would make me more of a front line fighter."
"Honestly, I think Atruma and Tanis are more than enough for that. We also have Krabby, after all. Please support us from the back."
"Y-yes!"

"Uhmm, are you saying I am a muscle head?" -Tanis complains and sighs
"You are a violence junkie, though?"
"I am not!"

Yeah, she totally is. Even in human shape, you still just punch and claw at things, don't you?

Wait, Fahima and Lyra said that in human form, they would be able to wear equipment. So is it our fault that Tanis just swings her fists? Should I get her some gear?

I'd like two sets of equipment for Tanis.
A practical one with good enchantments and enhancements for real fighting, and a sexy set consisting of an armored bikini that gives us easy access to her ass and breasts, for when we're leveling with just our pets.
That can be a separate request from getting her useful weapons.
Useful weapons should be practical and useful regardless.

"Uhmm when we get back, I think we should get some equipment for you two. You aren't actually weak to anything, so you don't need that kind of accessories, right?"
"That is correct." -Atruma nods nods
"Eh, I'd like a couple of earrings like Lyann's." -says Tanis
"Those add extra defense against spells in general."
"I just want them cause they're pretty."

Well, she's a dragon.
Right. So, dragon greed, I guess

Well, its not a bad idea to get helpful items if you can.

"What about a weapon?"
"My claws are good enough." -Tanis really likes punching things.
"Maybe some gauntlets, then? I was thinking in a spear so you would get extra reach."
"If I need to reach something, I'll fly to it."

There's no actual monk class, was there? no, wait, there is.

"Would you want to take levels as monk?"
"Of course not! I'm not giving up the 'Dragon' monster class!"

She said so quite seriously.
So that's a dragon's pride? What about the other one?

We look at Atruma

"Ah, I wouldn't mind, if that's what Master wants."

Atrume is a good girl.
Maybe she's too meek, though?
Honestly, Dragon gives pretty good gains per level, If I could take levels on it, it'd be great.

So, let's keep them both as dragons.

Some accessories, armor and weapons are not a bad idea, though. Even if the defensive and offensive boosts they offer are negligible to them, they can still grant special abilities.

You can't enchant or add cards to your bare hands and feet, after all.

Tanis likes punching and kicking. Even if she says she's not, we can't help but to think of her as a sort of monk. She somehow feels a lot wilder than Atruma, though.

"Atruma, we'll get you a good pair of shortspears when we return. Tanis, we're getting you gauntlets and boots."
"Y-yes Master!"
"They're just wear off in a couple of years, such a waste."

Ah, right, dragons live a long time. So she's against equipment because they won't last her very long?

That somehow makes her more respectable as a dragon.

regular tear and wear, sure. But when you are getting smashed against a stone golem with a dragon's punch strength, im pretty sure it must do something to your durability. Well, one of the possible item enhancements we found about made items basically everlasting.

>>46548533

"At that time, we can just get you new ones."
"Humans are so wasteful."

Krabby is fine, right? I can't even begin to guess where to hang earrings on him, though. Wait, do monsters even have the same slots as adventurers?

Let's check Atruma's inventory 'screen' and... Uhmm... she has a harness slot, and eleven different accessory slots.

Krabby... is the same. So it is for Lyra and Fahima.

Let's see... humans have armor slots for
Arms
Legs
Hips
Hands
Feet
Head

We also have accessory slots for
Head
Neck
Arms
Hands
Belt
Feet

So, humanoids have 6 armor slots, and 6 accessory slots. Rings or gloves, either would use the hands slot.

Incidentally, non magical items of that type don't actually use an slot, so you can wear a magic ring and as many non magical rings as you want. Or a magic ring and regular gloves.

So, is their harness slot the 'armor' slot? I think I should check a pet (monster) shop when we go back to town.

All those accessory slots are a bit confusing, though. Can they use lots of rings? I mean, I -can- see Krabby wearing plenty of bracelts and rings, marybe a torc around its arms... that's so blingin' though.

"Wh-what is it? for some reason, you're making me feel funny." -Tanis actually covered herself when we stared at her

Well, for a moment, we thought about what kind of harness she would wear... it made me think of so many hentai from my last life. Her reaction is kind of funny. So she CAN feel embarrased sometimes, after all.

But seriously, I'd guess you'd have to custom-order any gear on a pet-by-pet basis? monsters come in a lot of shapes...

...no, wait, magic items adapt to their users, right? so a goliath can wear armor made for humans.

So, the armor/harness would adapt across several species, right? I can't really imagine a pet mantis wearing the same armor/harness as Krabby would, though. Their body types are too different.

"Master, should we keep going?" -Fahima asks after a while

We were standing in place and thinking for a while, so... yeah

"Alright. Let's get you all to 100 as quick as possible."

Ah, the boss room!

A large white golem is the floor boss, uh?

<lv 100 Marble Golem>

Isn't marble a rather soft rock? well, it's a boss, so it won't be soft no matter what. Also, it means the next floor is going to have normal marble golems as well as mantis.

The boss spawns alone, but as we start fighting it, numerous smell golems begin sprouting off the ground.

Literally, they just slip upwards as if they were passing through water. They're smaller than a person, and attack by just curling up and rolling to you and over you.

Atruma, Tanis and Krabby surround Lyra and Fahima. They're doing a pretty good job of repelling the rolling golems...

Actually, isn't Tanis shit at defending others?! she's dodging rather than blocking, so Lyra is taking some damage because of that.

I want to say that it is good that she's so good at dodging, but please consider the people behind you a little more!

We take out the boss in three attacks, It sounds easy, but we are rather broken, you know? each of our attacks do a LOT of damage. Three attacks means it is a super tough monsters which normal parties would have a nightmarish time against.

Thankfully, it's 'adds' dissapear when it dies.

Ah, it dropped something.

<Legendary><White Marble>

Its a crafting material. Legendary uh? I guess that's about to be expected of a level 100 boss.

But, it feels really stingy. I mean, it's a block of marble the size of a small car, but, you can't build a house, palace or castle with it, right?

There's no way anyone is going to farm this boss for this drop.

Maybe a sculptor? Weed go away plz

There's noone who would build a palace our of legendary marble, right?

Why am I thinking of grandpa? why do I feel like crying?

Still, Krabby got 8 levels, Tanis and Atrume got 1/2 a exp bar towards level 120, Fahima got 2 levels, and Lyra got 3.

Not bad, exp wise. Should we farm him? its faster than going around picking on 'small' mobs. The next boss should be at level 110, so, 10 floor away.

After the 4th golem in the next floor, Lyra finally complains to us about Tanis dodging out of the way whenever the little golems charge her.

Well, its natural, because rather than being a shield, the fact that she waits until the last second to get out of the way, means that Lyra and Fahima get no time at all to react, so they've eaten a lot of rolling stones to the face.

Anyone would be angry, I guess.

"Tanis, please properly block the attacks, rather than dodging."
"You are asking me to get hit?!"
"You are a tough dragon, right? you can take it."
"I don't want to take it! why should I get hit for someone else's sake!?"
"That's your job as a defender."
"I don't want to be a defender, I want to go and fight the boss, too!"
"Krabby and Atruma can't defend Fahima and Lyra on their own. You need to fill in the gap."
"Ugh, being in a party is awful."
"Please suck it up, and do your job properly."
"I could make a lewd joke, but I don't even feel like it."
"I am grateful for that."

Krabby levels up the faster. Actually, he has a first evolution at level 80 and grows as large as a black bear. Its shell now has small spikes over it.

Not as many as a hedgehog, mind you, just enough you would have trouble plaving your hand over his shell. His right claw also grows way bigger.

Is he a violinist crab? is he gonna use crabhammer as an attack?

He looks like a cavern demon now. I bet he could kill a snake.

Ah, he's actually a gentleman crab. He gets in the way on purpose to block attacks going towards the girls.

He doesn't helps Tanis, though.

Should we admonish him, or praise him?

As we are thinking about that, though, Lyra clings to his huge claw and caresses it gently as she gives it a kiss as thanks.

Oh, so red crabs can blush, how very amusing. Wait, Krabby's a he? I am absolutely ignorant about crab physiology.

Uhmm... the fact that he already evolved means his previous state was pretty weak, right? I wonder if he will evolve again at level 100, or if it will take longer?

By the way, the normal <Marble Golem> drops mostly money. There was one that dropped a <Fine><Marble Heart> gem, but it looks just like a marble, no pun intended.

As we move lower into the dungeon, we see more <Marble Golem> but there are variants now. They have beins of gold, silver and iron through their bodies. They still do mostly the same damage, but they also have ranged attacks.

To be attacked with neddles of gold. What's with this luxurious feeling?

Ah, Fahima has finally reached level 100 after taking down a group of<Marble Golem> with beins of iron through their bodies.

Her evolution is quite fast. She is covered with a blinding light... I kinda want to press B just to see what happens.

Of course, there's no B button here.

The result is... her pale pink skin is fone. She's now black/grey like coal and ash, but it doesn't looks bad, to be honest.

It has a look like that of super expensive black silk, somehow. She's also covered by lines and spots of bright gold in definitive patterns. It looks really nice and ethnic, I guess... Ah, she fell.

She has legs now, and she's not used to them. That was sort of expected. Her hair went from bright red to actual fire, but it doesn't burns when you touch it.

It feels slightly erotic to caress her smooth head through the flames, somehow. Its soft and smooth, but the flames look like hair, so its quite feminine anyway.

Ah, the golden lines over her have a style that makes me think of indian culture for some reason. It looks really nice and somewhat sensual.

"M-master, my tail is gone..."
"Take it easy, can you stand?"
"Uh..."

She stumbles forth as she stands up with our and Atruma's help, then sort of floats in place for a moment before spinning in midair with her hips as axis.

"Oh, she seems to float the way I do. Calm down, just will yourself straight." -adds Lyra, trying to be helpful

Ifrit must be more spirit than flesh, then? After a few moments, Fahima manages to float straight. Her toes are floating a little under an inch off the floor.

"Uhm... can you move forth?"

She lifts her knees slightly, bending her knees as she moves.

"Do you have to bend your legs? can you keep them straight? can you actually walk if you want to?"
"I don't want to, though."
"That's sort of a waste of legs, then. Try moving with your legs straight."

Somehow, it looks just wrong, though.

"Never mind, do it the other way, please."
"Alright."

"Let's see... have your abilities changes?"
"Certainly... I can call up long-lasting fire pillars instead of just fireballs now. I also have a flamebreath attack... oh, whenever I take fire damage, it heals me."

Ah, her [Fire Immunity] leveled up to [Fire Absorb] then. Depending on the terrain, fighting a ifrit could be extremely annoying.

"Your collar is gone." -comments Atrume
"I wonder if it got burnt? but you didn't burn my hand when I touched you. Can you -not- burn things if you want to?"
"It is? It feels as if I'm still wearing it?"

Let's check her inventory... right, she's still wearing it as an accessory. Let's try removing it...

It was removed. It is now on our hand. Immediately, the air gets really, really hot around her.

Lyra backs off.

So, her aura of fire also got stronger. It's to the point where it is a good thing we are in a stone dungeon, because things around her are almost bound to catch fire.

Thus, the collar was doing its work properly.

Well, our energy resistance is enough we can place it back with her aura just being 'annoying' to us.

Ah, it got 'absorbed' and turned into a wide series of marks over her neck.

Is it because she's a high-tier spirit now? uhmm... let's see... we can still call forth the collar screen to mess with her restrictions as we would with any slave.

Right, we can turn that off, its under 'racial skills'. Its under [Fiery Aura] which is already set to 'off'. It prevents equipment thieft or destruction.

It's a good talent, but now I feel like it would be REALLY annoying to fight an ifrit.

Should I turn it off? the 'tattoo collar' looks nice, but seeing the actual collar adds a certain something...

Let's take a quick break to examine Fahima more closely.
Kiss her to see how she tastes.
Feel her skin and get a handful of her new butt.

Once we're done and we have Lyra and Krabby go back into the Menagerie, we can explore Fahima's new body in more detail.

"Let's leave it be for now. It looks really elegant."
"R-really?"
"Yes, you look really beautiful, Fahima."

She looks quite happy. Ah, later off, let's give her new body a 'try'. We need to properly explore all of her changes.

It's the fun-- I mean, the responsible thing to do, as her owner.

For now, let's continue. We still need to see if Lyra will also evolve when she hits lv. 100 in her current state.

By the way, Fahima can still use fire magic normally. It would be weird for her to lose such an important ability.

I don't want to send her to the front lines, so she has no chance to try out her firebreath.

Also, I feel like her [Fiery Aura] skill would be really useful if everyone in her party had either fire immunity or fire absorb, but since that's not the case right now, let's also leave that off.

By the way, her fire puillars are quite wide. Just two are enough for quite effectively blocking a hallway, but you 'can' move through them if you don't mind the heavy burns.

Well, since she heals based on fire damage, it's convenient for her. Incidentally, she can only keep 2 pillars up at the same time, but she says she feels as if she will be able to raise more when she gets stronger.

Lyra wasnt too far behind Fahima on levels, so she too hits level 100 quickly enough.

In her case, her appearance doesn't changes as drastically. Her skin is still pale with a beautiful, very light green tinge to it.

Its hard to explain, since you'd think someone green is sick, but looking at her, it is clear that it is a very proper color for a beautiful young woman to be.

Her hair changes from blonde to deep blue, though. It is so dark it feels almost black, and whenever she moves, it trails behind her as if she was moving through water.

Like Fahima, she too grows legs and... she could float to begin with, so she gets used to it right away.

Her head...

Also, to go with the "higher species = elemental spirit" thing, I was thinking in a Nereid which is a water genie. Or a Marid.

I dont want her to just be Fahim: Now water flavored and give her a cold aura and a similar appearance to Fahima, but maybe it is actually a good idea since they are both spirits now?

Honestly I feel like going more support with Lyra fits better the water theme, but that's also a trope by itself, isn't it?

I think the radiance (mana regen) aura effect for allies is pretty nice and want to keep it, to be honest.

So Im thinking of the following options

For looks
>Pale, light green skin with navy blue hair that flows behind her as if she was underwater
>Very clear light blue skin and greenish hair
>Matching Fahima, but with emerald green skin (you know, tropocal waters) and clear golden marks (for white sand beaches) instead of black and gold.

For auras, I have the following ideas
>Drowning Aura. Those around her count as being underwater.
>Freezing Aura. Honestly this option I like the least

She -will- have a radiance aura though, recovering allies mana quickly at the end of every turn.

So far we just have hair decided over elemental water.

I thought those were the most interesting options too, don't you think?

Ah, found a bigger version of that Yin pic, and a nude version too

Anyway, im gonna type a bit and then we'll end the thread for tonight, I think.

"Gh!?" -right away, we feel as if we were underwater

It looks as if everyone else is being affected as well. Everyone except Lyra

I get it. I have a rough idea of what's going on. I don't know what the rules for drowning are in this world, but in the PnP games we played in our old life, they were pretty brutal, so let's not risk it.

We recall Lyra back to our menagerie

We'll get her a collar so we can turn that ability 'off' before calling her back out.

That felt pretty dangerous. We can hold our breath for a good 20 minutes thanks to our stats, but if you aren't expecting it and it just starts suddenly like that, of course you'll start drowning right away.

"Alright, I guess we should go back now."

We recall everyone, and use the return scroll to go back to the surface.

Ah, that felt like a pretty productive evening. Like with Fahima and accessories of [Fore Absorb], having Lyra out while everyone uses items of [Water Breathing] or [Sustain] (so we dont need to breathe, period) would give us a pretty big advantage, uh?

Trying to have them both out at the same time just seems greedy. And it would need a big amount of accessories to counter both auras for everyone.

Still, we should probably start planning around them.

Fahima's [Fiery Aura] with accessories of [Fire Absorb] is free and constant healing for allies, while damaging enemies. It has the advantage of working against enemies that don't need to breathe

Lyra's [Drowning Aura] with accessories of [Sustain] will give us a huge advantage against enemies that need to breathe. I wonder how it affects water breathing creatures.

I mean, is a drowning aura, or a water aura? its a big difference.

Well, her natural enviroment is the sea, right? it feels like a water aura would be useless against predators in the sea. Its not as if a demon shark cares if your aura means it counts as "underwater" all of a sudden, you know?

Ah, for now, let's head to a monster shop and buy some accessories....
