You are Sallazar, a young wizard who has recently left the army. You have taken a teaching job at Egwen Girls Convent.

In addition the Headmaster of the school wants you to run the schools adventurers club, to give some of the schools more unusual girls something fun to do.

The club is really starting to work together – girls encouraging each other and friendly rivalries instead of actual ones starting.

Anlanesa, Cleya and Chame are sticking to their punishment and have accepted it with bad grace, but you'll need to see if it's going to actually get them to work together, or merely tolerate each other.

Before you know it, it's the weekend again, and you're on the lightning rail taking the club to a new dungeon. Fortunately this one is much closer – only a few hours travel. Emerging from the station you realise you're in some tiny town in the mountains, and easily spot a few other adventuring clubs, including Soaring Falcons and the Disciples of St. Angius – Absolem gives you a friendly wave as he herds his charges into the forest.

“What's the schedule?” Thunder Drum asks as you corral the girls to prevent wandering off. You read the instructions the Daves have given you “'from the station head 3 miles west'” you recite, looking up at the sun you nod into the forest “follow the Disciples of St. Angius.”

Lucinda gives you a disbelieving look “walk, through the forest, for miles? We'll get filthy!”

“Yes Lucky” you say, still studying your instructions.

“But there will be all sorts of vermin and animals and slimy horrible stuff!” moans the young succubus soulborn, clearly more at home in an urban environment.

“It'll be character building” you reply, smiling but still not looking at her.

“Lucinda!” admonishes Taynathil. You look up just in time to see Lucinda gives you some very rude hand-gestures questioning your sexual preferences.

Your smile widens into a grin “thank you for volunteering to carry my bag.”
>>
The walk through the forest is peaceful, well mostly, there are a few grumbles, but before too long you've reached another village, or at least, the ruins of one. And nearby, a camp where the other groups are setting up, as well as the Daves support staff.

You look around for the Daves, only to hear them yelling for all the club leaders – they're ready to give the mission briefing. Leaving your club to find a place to pitch their tents in the clearing, you head towards the yelling, finding the Daves gathered around a large illusionary map of the village, along with the heads of another ten or so club leaders.

“Ok, ok” says Dave “we all here yeah, good? Right, so this village is where we're playing. Scenario is this: village got overrun by orcs and goblins, some villagers got away. But buried under the floor in the temple here” he indicates the largest building “is a sacred icon of Maros. The groups will be told that they need to battle or sneak past the goblins and orcs to get it, but!” he holds up a finger for emphasis “we'll be introducing some other elements, it'll be different for each team: might be a rampaging monster, might be mercenaries or just bad weather or something else. Either way it can seriously hinder a group, or can be used to help them if they turn it to their advantage. Points are awarded based on time taken to retrieve the icon and get it out of the village, and taken away for every team member who get taken down. Some of the hazards are worse than others – some will grant bonus points but by the gods they'll be bad, any questions?”

As the other club heads ask their own questions you ponder which team to use for the event.

The Good team seems to be the best choice. It will also give them some much needed experience and practise.

Once no one has any more questions, you head off to get your team ready – after picking straws to see which teams go first – your girls will be the third team in.

XXX

You are Janrael, Solar Angel Soulborn, conjurer, and currently team leader of the good team of the Egwen Girls School club – and determined to show Team Fel Storm how it's done!

At the starting point – just across the bridge to the south of the village, you take a moment to scan the village and surroundings.

“Well girls, what do you think?” You ask your team for their input, as any good leader should.

Before you is a once-idyllic village, only now many of the houses are burning – some have burned down entirely. In between the houses you can see groups of orcs and goblins: some going door to door of houses to loot and smash things, some standing guard over a half-dozen captives in the middle of the street – a side-road to the east, next to the pile of loot the creatures have collected. Still more are simply sat in the middle of the road, drinking and singing.

To the east is light woodland – not much cover there, but to the west is heavier forests, in fact you might just be able to...

“I say we go west” says Phaysis “use the forest for cover, get around behind the church, get the idol and be gone before anyone knows we're here.”

“It'll take longer but...the only other options is to cut our way through them, or try to sneak through the town” says Anlanesa “both of those are pretty risky.”

You look to Safire, she starts a little, as if surprised that you want her input.

“Um, shouldn't we rescue the captives?” asks Safire “we were told thjere would be a surprise and stuff – maybe rescuing them will help us?”

You exchange looks with Anlanesa and Phaysis.

“We are a good team” says Phaysis – maybe we get bonus points for rescuing people?” She sounds doubtful though.
>>
Both you and Phaysis can fly – an aerial view of the place would let you see more – but you might be spotted – so far the raiders seem oblivious to your presence.

“First lets scout the place out from the air” you say. Anlanesa and Safire wait by the bridge as Phaysis and you take flight – staying high to avoid detection – and you cast a spell to allow you to see magical aura's.

[Janrael AE 22/24]

So high up in the air, making out fine detail is difficult but you see a lot. The captives and their guards offer no surprises, and the bands of looters going from house to house offer few – a couple of them have enchanted bows. With a clear view of the village's layout you can see that trying to sneak through would be near impossible – relying more on luck than skill. The band of orc and goblin raiders doesn't have the place covered completely, but there are only a few places where you would not be easily visible.

You can't see any magic from within the church – but then you wouldn't expect to it it has a thick roof or second floor. You do see goblins occasionally going from the church to the looting bands and back again – carrying messages maybe? If so then maybe their leader is in the church?

“Seems likely” agrees Phaysis, as the two of you soar over the village.

“What's that?” you muse out loud, drifting over the western forest.

“What's what?” asks Phaysis, her eyes searching thr ground below.

“I thought I saw-there!” You point, Phaysis squints.

Lots of small magical aura's are visible through the tree branches, and here and there a horned head. Going lower you can see...what looks like a small warband of satyrs, heading stealthily towards the village.

“Are those allies of the orcs?” asks Phaysis.
>>
“Unlikely” you opine “Satyrs and orcs are not usually allies, plus why are they sneaking?” The two of you exchange looks.

“Allies maybe?” says Phaysis.

“Maybe” you say “they are armed with magical equipment and unlikely to be friendly to orcs but...can they be trusted?”

“The prisoners are more important than someone else attacking the raiders” you decide, once the two of you have landed and told Anlanesa and Safire what you have seen.

“So what's the plan?” Anlanesa asks.

“There's only four of them guarding the prisoners” you say “if we get lucky we can rescue them without the others even knowing we're here.”

Keeping low, the four of you sneak around the east, making use of what little cover there is – until you're almost within striking distance.

Crouched behind an old stone wall you whisper some last minute instructions as the guards are grunting at one another only a 15ft away from you “one each and if you can't take them down quietly, then just do it fast? Ok, on three-”

One of the orcs gives a louder grunt and you hear footsteps approaching.

“Your wings!” Safire whispers, looking up you see that you didn't have your wings pulled in as tight as you thought – and they are poking up above the wall.

Dammit, you have to move now, and take them all out quickly, before they raise the alarm!

You leap over the wall, accompanied by Phaysis as she quickly turns into her centaur form; Anlanesa and Safire rush around the side of the wall.

Facing you are four orcs wearing armour made from fur and leather, wielding axes and carrying shields.

They look rather surprised to see you. Tied up at their feet are captives from the village – women and children.

Over their heads appears ghostly writing [Their tiny orc scum minds struggle to understand what is going on].

Choking back a laugh at the Daves commentary, you decide on your course of action.

Both you and Phaysis swing out wide in a pincer movement as Anlanesa and Safire cast their spells.

A wide spray of blue and white cold magic hits two of the orcs head-on – one simply freezes into a statue of ice, the other stumbles back – one arm frozen solid holding an axe and his breath visible in the air.

Safire's bolts of mystical energy leap into the face of another orc – removing most of its skull.

The last unharmed orc is closes to you and you leap forwards and bring your burning sword downwards – it blocks with its shield as you'd expect and it shears through shield and arm both, finally ending up in the chest of a very surprised-looking orc.

Phaysis tackles the other orc, lunging at it with her spear at the orc with the frozen-stiff arm. She should be easily able to defeat it, it only has a shield...which it uses to block her attacks and then punches her in the gut with the edge of its shield – knocking her back, gasping for breath. It takes a deep breath, ready to bellow out the alarm...

And you run up your dying foe, using it as a ramp to launch yourself into the air and bring your sword down upon the head of the other one just before it can start yelling.

You all stop for a moment, breathing heavily and exchanging wordless glances.

Phaysis speaks first, looking distraught “Janrael, I-”

“Could you untie us please” whispers one of the women “before more come to check on us.”

“Anlanesa, Phaysis, untie them” you say, “Safire with me.”

As Anlanesa and Phaysis free the captives and see them safely on their way to the somewhat sparse cover of the eastern forest, you and Safire take cover and watch the revelling orcs and goblins – none of them seem to have noticed you.

As you watch you see the satyrs emerge from the forest in the distance and charge forwards.

“Should we go whilst they're fighting the orcs?” asks Safire.

“Wait” you say, peering at the conflict through the tiny gap in between two buildings “what are they...?”
>>
The satyrs have reached the orcs and are...yelling and shoving them, not killing them – the orcs are yelling back, but its too far to hear any words, but they seem to be angry.

What's going on? You wonder.

Phaysis and Anlanesa soon join you.

“Where to now?” Anlanesa asks.

There's not much cover on this side of the village – just heading straight to the church means crossing a lot of open ground. On the other hand the wandering bands of looters and drunks seem to be drifting towards the shouting match on the west side of the village, maybe that's enough of a distraction?

“Now's our chance” you say to the others, pointing at the church.

“Are you sure?” Anlanesa questions you, giving you a raised eyebrow.

“Yes” You say firmly “whilst they're distracted, we go.”

The four of you move quickly through the burning village. The orcs and goblins keep drifting in the direction of the ongoing argument, and more than once you cross open ground behind their backs.

After a tense few minutes you are at the church. Anlanesa hesitantly heads up the stairs, then you all hear a loud bellowing from within and dive behind cover. Loud footsteps indicate several large individuals are leaving from another entrance. Once its quiet again you head inside.

The church has been ransacked – plainly the orcs were looking for something, maybe the icon? Outside the shouting gets louder.

Still, knowing its under a flagstone behind the alter means you can quickly find it: levering up the stone and grabbing the small statue – it feels warm to the touch.

“That's it” you say to the others – keeping watch at the entrances to the main hall “now we just need to get back to the bridge, and it's finished.”

Suddenly you can make out words in the yelling voices outside, words like “Captives gone” and “find the intruders!”

“Time to go” says Anlanesa “Or else we might end up as part of the spoils of war.”

“Wow, Chame really is rubbing off on you” you reply, smiling when she glares at you.

“Company!” Safire chimes out – you hear running footsteps headed your way.

You need to get the icon back, but you also need your team intact. Fighting through a huge crowd of orcs is going to be a waste of time but just running for it might mean that someone gets left behind. Looking up you realise that the church has a tower – albeit a small one.

Between the two of you, you and Phaysis might be able to carry Safire and Anlanesa out of here – or at least far enough away that you can then run for the bridge.
>>
You did see some enchanted bows though – getting shot whilst carrying someone means one or both of you could take a bad tumble...maybe drawing the orcs into the church and looking for an opening in their lines is the best option?

A quick discussion with your team reveals mixed opinions.

“Fight, then look for a way out” counsels Anlanesa.

“I'll lead them off” suggests Phaysis “to let you all get away.”

“Um, um, I don't know!” Safire wrings her hands uncertainly.

“Up the tower!” you command, racing for the stairs yourself – the others close behind.

“What're we doing?” Phaysis asks as you all race up the stairs.

“We're going to fly out of here” You explain “Safire can fly with a spell-”

“I don't like heights though” moans the blue-skinned girl.

“It's just for a short way” you say “and Anlanesa will be with you.”

“I will?” says Anlanesa.

“Of course” you say “Safire will be carrying you – and you'll make a really useful shield against arrows-”

“Hey!” protests Anlanesa.

“When you're protected by a spell” you finish with “and Phaysis will be shooting back to distract them.”

“On it!” Phaysis adds.

At the top of the tower you look down to see orcs and goblins streaming into the temple, with plenty more surrounding it. The satyrs have joined them, huh, maybe they were allied with the orcs after all? Just goes to show that the Professor and his weird dwarf friends love to mix things up. Or maybe they just hate satyrs.

Casting your spells, the four of you take flight – Anlanesa firmly held by Safire.

As expected a small swarm of arrows rise to meet you: Safire is safe behind her shield – her arms wrapped tightly around Anlanesa's mid-section.

Phaysis is in no danger but one arrow hits you in the leg, but shooting straight up has taken most of the force out of it.

[No damage]

You're heading away from the mass of orcs and goblins when Safire and Anlanesa suddenly drop like stones.

Both you and Phaysis react simultaneously – diving down to grab one girl apiece. Looking down you see one of the satyrs festooned with belts and pouches waving his arms, arcane energies dancing around him.

“Something blocked my spell” says Safire in a daze, clinging to you as you soar to the finish line – damn she's a lot heavier than she looks.

So the satyrs had a sorcerer huh? Ah well, no matter...

The four of you cross over the bridge and behind you your adversaries fade. An ornate pocketwatch in hand, one of the Daves says to you “Huh, not bad, best time for far and no losses, you're doing well.”

Letting your team mates down to the ground, you ask “what now?”

Dave shrugs “stick around and watch the other teams go through it? Or go hang out with your friends – up to you?”

Away from the village is the mass of tents – you can see clubs over there playing a variety of games to keep them occupied – only those who have completed the scenario are allowed to watch others do the same it seems.

“Hanging out sounds good” you say, then, upon noticing the other girls still looking at you, you add “great performance everyone – always a few things we could have done differently but we came out with the best time, and maybe some bonus points for rescuing the captives.”

“No comment” says Dave, fiddling with his watch, then when he realises that no one else is nearby, gives you a subtle thumbs up.

You think about saying something to Phaysis about her performance – she still looks glum. But no, that's the Professors job. Instead you pat her on the shoulder as you say to the whole team “seriously, well done – we're winning so far. For now, I'm going to go and see what everyone is up to – you can stay if you like.”

Phaysis stays, but Anlanesa and Safire follow you over to the crowds noisily engaged in various sporting activities.

Soon the two girls have peeled off to find their own close friends – and you do the same.

You find them, oddly enough, sitting in a tree.

Standing underneath them you call up teasingly “Lucky and Cally, sitting in a tree....”

Calluna pauses in her quest of...collecting leaves..? why is she collecting leaves. Looking down at you she grins, waves with a tentacle and says “Hi Jan – I saw the mission, you really should have looked inside that one building with the giant slime thing – that would have been really funny.”

A few powerful wingbeats and you're standing on the branch that Lucinda is stretched out and...sleeping on? She's lying back against the trunk, a hat over her eyes.

A foot stomped on the branch causes her to pull her hat up and peer at you blearily, yup, definitely sleeping. Well, it is a warm afternoon...

“So” she says slowly “how bad did you screw up?”

“We got the best time so far” you say proudly, sitting down on the branch next to her “what have you been doing with your time?”
>>
“Nothing sensible” declares Calluna from above you, traversing the branches of the tree as she keeps collecting leaves “I've told her many times that removing the surface layers off pokers is pointless, they can still be used to stoke a fire.”

Lucinda rolls her eyes and you suppress a giggle. A Succubus Soulborn and...Calluna wouldn't have exactly been your first choice of friends but then, now that you aren't overwhelmed by feelings of evil from the other students, you've made an effort to get to know some of them, and Lucinda isn't a bad person, not really. And Calluna...only gave off evil feelings when she was truly angry or upset, and according to Lucinda 'hanging around her makes me feel sane and normal'. So the three of you sort of fell in together.

“Do I want to know what she's talking about?” you ask Lucinda, who is suddenly studying the inside of her hat, and grinning.

“What did you do?” you ask her, giving her a mock glare.

“Socialising with the other teams is a vital party of the adventuring team spirit building or however the Professor put it” she replies piously “so I have organised a social event, one with games, so no one gets bored, and to help everyone start talking.”

“Right” you say, drawing out the word “and another way of putting it is?”

“You've know how to play Five-Dragon Akant right?” says Lucinda, naming a popular card game. Popular with gamblers of course.

“I've heard of it” you say cautiously “you build up a set of points in a hand or collect dragons to make a flight.”

“Exactly” says Lucinda, sitting up “I've organised a game this evening, come – I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.”

Now you glare at her for real “Lucinda are you organising a secret card game to cheat everyone out of their money?”

“No!” she says, looking offended, well ok, maybe you were a little hard on her. Just because She's a demon soulborn doesn't mean-

I'm just happy Calluna is making friends without all of them having to be literally made by her.

So, looks like Janrael will be playing not-strip poker, and continuing to talk to Lucky, for now
>>
“Maybe I should go” you say: Lucinda's eye widen a little in surprise “if only to keep you out of trouble.”

Lucinda laughs “well, thanks for coming Jan – I figured that having a chance to see me without anything on would be distracting enough to make most of the boys make some really dumb mistakes, but with the two of us there they get a choice between visiting heaven or hell – double the distraction.”

“I am so glad you didn't say 'entering heaven or hell'” you say dryly “because otherwise I'd be going straight to the Professor. And what, may I ask is the point of this – are you really so desperate to see a bunch of boys naked? I would have thought you'd not have much trouble seeing that any time you felt like it?”

“And I thought Nevyn was the one who was part cat” Says Lucky, smiling at you “No the point is to humiliate them – I'll have someone hide their clothes and then they'll be running back to their tents naked.”

“Resulting in you getting caught and punished” you say dryly “brilliant plan.”

“Oh please” says Lucinda “have a little more faith in me than that – no we'll be back in our tents long before they get spotted. I doubt they'll want to tell theit teachers that they got beat by the student od the 'freak school' anyway.”

“You shouldn't use that term” you say quietly “you know its wrong, and it upsets people, if the Professor heard you say that-”

“Professor Sallazar isn't here!” Lucinda says sharply, you just give her a patient look. She returns your gaze stubbornly “that's all they're ever going to see us as Jan – freaks. There's no harm in playing our part.”
>>
“That's not what we are though” you say calmly “and there's plenty of harm in it. Playing the role of the bad girl can become a habit, why live your life by others perceptions of you.”

“It's easy for you” sneers Lucinda, baring her teeth “everyone expects you to be good, to be perfect and I bet it comes naturally to you too.” Wow that's a lot of bitterness to enter the conversation suddenly...

Are there any purchase plans for Sallazar? Or are we just waiting to be able to buy all of teacher of the ocean at once?
>>
>>47628405
No plans so far. Four ranks in Teacher of the Ocean would be useful for any girl that wants to learn an arcane casting class, and that's how many we could afford right now. Otherwise we could expand Sallazar's spell list and use Wizard class features to make his higher level abjurations even more powerful.
>>
“You're right” you say, giving a half-smile “I got lucky, so very lucky: until the professor helped me block out what I was feeling all I could think about every day was evil tearing at my skin, eating away at me. Of course I knew how to make it stop, it would be easy, all I'd have to do it start killing the people around me – my friends, girls who didn't do anything wrong. And every time I met a new one, all I'd have to do is kill again, and again, and again.”

Lucinda sneer fades, but she still has a stubborn look in her eyes.

“Look when they sent the angels down for the Soulbound” you say “they left the Soulborn alone. Everyone has their own idea as to why, I think it's because they're giving us a chance. A chance to live our own lives, make our own choices and mistakes, and a chance to be who we want to be, rather than just seeing us as an angel” you point to yourself “or a demon” you point to Lucinda “or a...um...” you point upwards and sort of lose your train of thought.

“I'm normal!” Calluna calls down “so's Lucinda, so are you Janrael – it's the so-called 'ordinary folk' that are freaky.”

“Anyway” you say, chuckling “my point is: be your own person Lucinda. Don't try to live up to an archetype, break the mould if you want to.”

“Like an angel playing a game where you lose clothing if you lose” she says slyly.

“Yes like that” you say, giggling “though I expect I'm not the first.”

“Watch out for elves” comments Calluna from above.

You share an exasperated look with Lucinda, she shrugs “C'mon, let's see how the rest of the club are doing.” she says.

“Yeah” you reply.

You spend the rest of the day hanging out with your friends, and sometimes with other members in the club, and even try out a few games.
>>
Over dinner final scores are read out – you won! Although your time was almost beaten by one team, and your points total only narrowly beat another team, you still won! You are hugged and congratulated by the rest of your team, and even other teams come over to shake your hands.

Late that night...after all the festivities...

“Shhhh! Be quiet!” Lucinda admonishes you. Well, you, Nataline, Nevyn and Syphoebeus. Chame would have come but Cleya was awake late reading.

You sneak out to one of the buildings in the village, now abandoned after the days adventuring is done, meeting you there are a dozen boys – from a bunch of different teams.

“So uh, how's this going to work?” asks one.

“I bought several decks” says Lucinda brightly, as Nevyn lights torches all around the room. Lucky let you in on the scam – the cards are all marked in a way that lets you know what they've got. Now you know what you're looking for, it would be easy to cheat. Lucinda also has several unmarked decks, just in case anyone starts getting suspicious. “How about we split up into groups?”

Nevyn and Nataline are together in a single group, other than that each of the girls is alone, facing off against several boys who want to see her naked.

You're facing off against three guys: Halmis, from the Disciples of St. Angius. Gedna, from a Thieves-guild sponsored team called the Redscarves – Lucky said he's the one most likely to spot what you're doing, and Ju Gens, he comes from a far away land and you think he's a noble. He's from a team of wizard-fighters called the Bloodweavers, he's also got a really creepy way of looking at everyone, like maybe he thinks they're animals or something.
>>
With the cards being marked, you can easily win, but Lucky said to take it slow and make it look good – like lose a few items of clothing here and there. You're wearing extra underwear just in case...

So, how are you going to play?

You stick to the plan: Mostly you win, but you lose a few items of clothing here and there. It's not long before you're down to the short pants and top you wear to train in – they offer you freedom of movement whilst still covering all the essentials. The other girls with you are in a similar state of still mostly dressed, the boys however...most of them are down to their underclothes – only a few more losses and they'll be showing well...everything.

You've piled up all the clothing in heaps – where it can be easily grabbed and hidden.

The next phase of the plan hinged upon Lucinda's 'sudden idea' for players to stay in the game if they're down to their last piece of clothing – rather than take of the last thing they're wearing they can run around the outside of the building three times, and whilst the day was warm, the night is getting colder.

The final phase of the plan is to have most or all of the guys outside at one time as a final price to pay to see any of the girls naked. Lucinda says she expect they'll go for it after having run around outside several times – the nights cold but it's not freezing. That's when you're going to grab their clothes and hide them, and flee back to the camp in the darkness. If nothing else it'll be fun seeing how this turns out...

The problem however is that Ju Gens has been scowling the last few hands, like he suspects something is up. And Gedna is giving you a knowing smile, either that or he;s trying to flirt. Well, he's been trying to flirt with you all evening, but now the skinny little guy is laying it on thick.

Halmis is just playing along, having fun, he must be part bear though – druid or not he is one hairy guy.

You could stick to the plan but one or two of your players are really suspicious, maybe it's time to back off a little?

Sticking to the plan, you only discard your shoes after each of the three guys you're playing with has made a pair of treks outside. Two of your players seem suspicious, but neither has called you out on anything yet. So far so good, a few more hands and then maybe you'll let another piece of clothing go....

“Oh no!” says Lucinda loudly, to a lot of masculine chuckling, ah sounds like the final phase of the plan is ready to begin.

“No I can't!” Lucinda protests, managing to blush as everyone looks at her “it'll be too embarrassing!”

“Fair is fair” one boy calls out.

“Rules are rules” says another.

Lucinda seems to wilt “Ok, you win, but I'm only stripping if-”

“Well, well well” says a new voice “what do we have here?”

Several satyrs come through the door in to the ruin of a house, are the dungeon spells going wonky?

You're not the only one two think that. A boy sat near Syphoebeus says “those are the satyrs from our mission today, how did they reappear?”

The satyrs chuckle, by now all six are in the room: large men with goatlike feet and horns atop their heads, and naked from the waist up. Most are carrying bottles of wine or spirits and when they talk, they're overly loud.

When they look at you...well you know you're sat there wearing less clothes than normal, but under their eyes you realise just how much skin you're showing, and their hungry gaze tells you that they expect to see a lot more, soon. You feel a strong urge to put some of your clothes back on.

“Gol Karin, at your service” says the one at the front, making a flamboyant bow “not an illusion, we were hired by the little bearded chaps to help with this little game. We do love games, and helping young boys and girls.” The other satyrs snicker. You have a bad feeling about this...
>>
Your little circle is closest to the door, and the satyrs, Gol Karin surveys the room, and then his gaze falls on you “Ah yes, a heavenly young lass, she'll do” he saunters over, you get ready to rise and fight, you do not like the way he is looking at you.

“Why waste your time with foolish child games when you could learn a lesson from a real man?” He asks as he approaches you.

Ju Gens of all people stands to defend you, stepping in front of you and blocking the goat-man's path “This is a private game” he insists in his exotic accent “leave.”

Gol Karin backhands him across the face, sending him sprawling – you catch him just in time to stop his head cracking on the floor – he's breathing, but out cold.

The other Satyrs give harsh laughs as Gol Karin starts fumbling with his belt and saying loudly “now which young lass – or lad, is going to be first I wonder...”

Out of the corner of your eye you see the normally calm Phoebe rise, her face a mask of anger.

You also see Nataline rise, her face as regal as a queen, wow, violence and diplomacy – you wonder which will win this, with the satyrs filled with liquid courage, but outnumbered three to one.

Oh right, that. Yes, don't let me forget, I plan to bring it up at some point.
>>
>>47630421
Are Spongy Flesh Body, Liquid Flesh Body and Engulf really supposed to be Nevyn powers? They read like things that fit far more Chame.
>>
>>47630421
>>47630459
Same for the Transformative X, they all read like mimic powers, and don't really fit into Displacer beast themes at all.
>>
>>47630459
>>47630521
they are - they represent Nevyn learning how to warp her own form, rather than space/time.
>>
>>47630593
Thats a bit odd, could we copy-paste them for Chame? She seems to be the only one lacking race-specific powers(to purchase).
>>
>>47630610
huh I thought I had.

Yes, Chame has mirror versions of all of these - I will write them up properly.
>>
So do we want to get Teacher of the Ocean up to 5? Or would expanding and enhancing Sallazar's arcane lexicon be preferable? Or a bit of both?
>>
>>47630765
Well, now I want to get Polymorph any Object to deal with those satyrs.
>>
>>47630799
Turn them into girls to teach them a lesson?
>>
>>47630839
I really like this idea.
>>
>>47630799
Planning to go full AM on them?
>>
>>47630839
>turn them into girls and give our girls futa dicks to rape them with as lesson.

But no. Alas, this is not that kind of quest.
>>
>>47630878
You do not lightly mess with the PTSD wizard.
>>
>>47630878
But seriously speaking, I think having PaO and Disintegrate would be good for Sallazar, he lacks heavy duty damage spells.
The rest we can dump into TotO.
>>
>>47630884
Don't tempt me

unrelated: just updated Age of Mutants Quest on Akun
>>
>>47630963
I enjoy tempting you.

Thanks.
But man I was surprised by how lewd Anya turned out to be.
Pleasently so.
>>
>>47630941
We actually have Disintegrate already. Used it to kill a troll guarding a transmutation wellspring that we fed to Nevyn to spark her apotheosis into an Empress Displacer Beast, IIRC.

If you want highly damaging spells, Meteor Swarm or Polar Ray are probably the best available options.
>>
>>47631067
>We actually have Disintegrate already.
Silly me, looked into the wrong Rank. Mh, Polar Ray is probably better for our purposes, AoE can get problematic with our girls unless we get something like Sculpt Spell.
>>
>>47631067
It should be
Sallazar (28/28)
>Polar Ray -5XP
>PaO -5XP
>TotO +3 -18XP
Right?
>>
>>47631108
I agree, Polar Ray is precise and deadly, it's a good step up from disintegrate for single target damage and Meteor Swarm would probably be serious overkill for most enemies we'd actually use AoE spells on at this level.

As for ways to make our AoE spells less threatening to the girls, Sallazar does have the Selective Spell metamagic. It's somewhat costly at 2 AE/excluded person compared to directly reshaping an area of effect, but it works.

>>47631264
Yep.
>>
>>47631287
Do you have any preferences to our next Team? I can't really come up with a good theme, since a lot of potential arrangements are snatched by Team Good.

Also is getting Paladin for janrael a plan in the near future? Because I felt her being Wizard/Priest support would make more sense with having already 2 serious heavy weights in melee in her team (Safire and Phaysis) and a powerful gish (Anlanesa), a dedicated support caster seems more useful than another holy melee.
>>
>>47631264
Sallazar, 28/28 XP spent
>Polar Ray, -5 XP
>Polymorph Any Object, -5 XP
>Teacher of the Ocean +3 (4), -18 XP

Just retyping this in order to formalize it, since some friends in PRQ got a bit upset when I didn't do that once.

>>47631369
None in particular right now, I'll put some more thought to it and see if I come up with anything interesting.

Paladin Jan will likely happen sooner or later, but for now getting access to 3rd tier Priest magic and the leadership abilities of Fighter are my goal. Keep in mind that a significant number of Paladin abilities are support anyway, mainly Area Divine Shield and Sanctuary, but Voice of Command is also good against opponents with fear effects.

Safire isn't going to be focused on melee combat (or isn't planned to be) even as a Monk, and I do intend for Jan to be fairly competent and dangerous as a melee opponent, more of a front-line caster, though.
>>
>>47631668
>Safire isn't going to be focused on melee combat (or isn't planned to be)
Whats her plan then? Blaster?
>>
>>47631668
>mind that a significant number of Paladin abilities are support anyway, mainly Area Divine Shield and Sanctuary, but Voice of Command is also good against opponents with fear effects.
Thats certainly true, due to PoJ Paladin abilities are also seriously broken.
I guess its just my personal preference that I want her to specifically not give in to the smiting stereotype.
>>
>>47631668
>Safire isn't going to be focused on melee combat (or isn't planned to be) even as a Monk
To clarify, I meant offensively.

>>47631704
More or less, at least for her offense, due to how much her racials lend themselves to it. Mostly want her to go Monk for things like Artful Crane and Always Moving, with maybe a little bit of a speed and damage upgrade, and not being totally reliant on magic to fight competently.

>>47631816
I doubt she'd wind up being that stereotype regardless of her class. I mean, her best friends are an eldritch horror and a succubus.
>>
>>47631919
>I doubt she'd wind up being that stereotype regardless of her class.
I meant more emphasizing that with her combat style, I have no worries about it personality-wise.

>More or less, at least for her offense, due to how much her racials lend themselves to it.
Makes sense, a shame we don't have those Shadow-Illusion spells that can simulate evocations, otherwise Illusion could be fun for Safire.

>Mostly want her to go Monk for things like Artful Crane and Always Moving
Yeah I guessed that, and its probably a good plan. She is going to be a fairly major physical threat anyway though, the high strength and slam hurt fierce.
>>
>>47631668
I'm not sure how much use we'll get out of Polar Ray compared to getting TotO up one more level for the extra training xp it will give but I trust your system mastery.
>>
>>47632022
TotO costs 6 and Polar Ray 5, we can't substitute PR for a additional rank of TotO right now anyway.
>>
>>47632087
Cool pun not intended.
>>
>>47632008
>I meant more emphasizing that with her combat style
Well, I wouldn't say emphasizing, she'll still be a caster-leader type more than a hack-and-slash paladin.

>a shame we don't have those Shadow-Illusion spells that can simulate evocations
Might actually port those, though I thought people had wanted Tisania to be the Illusionist of the group.

>She is going to be a fairly major physical threat anyway though, the high strength and slam hurt fierce.
Yeah. Works well with Artful Crane's R1 benefit of punching whoever attacks you first in a round in the face automatically.

>>47632022
As the other anon said, different costs.

I'm not completely unbiased here because I like the Polar Ray spell on a personal level, but I do think it's a good purchase. And hey, if we ever need to freeze a lake...

I'm considering putting another level or two into Teacher of the Ocean with reserve XP anyway.
>>
>>47632260
>Might actually port those, though I thought people had wanted Tisania to be the Illusionist of the group.
That makes likely more sense, it was just a idle idea on my part.
>>
>>47632260
>I thought people had wanted Tisania to be the Illusionist of the group
So we're still on
Tisania:Illusion
Janrael:Abjuration
Calluna:Conjuration
Safire:Evocation
Cleya:Diviniation(?)
Or was Celya Transmutation? I mean Divination is punny but the 3.5D&D player screams at me that Transmutation is the best school. And it would be a lot of fun so I kinda want someone with that school among our girls.
