You are Hugo of Ramla

And you are looking for advice. While all of Jerusalem is engaged in a bloody struggle for the capture of Ascalon, you and your brother have found the time to fight one another. A quarrel has broken out between you and your lord brother, Wilhelm. The subject and point of contention is marriage, your brother has plans that go against your heart and honour, a match made without your consent. You love another, the converted Saracen, Sabeen.

You have just bid farewell to your friend Solomon. Given a command of Frankish troops, Solomon marches south to reinforce Gaza against an Egyptian force of Nubians, the elite force of the Caliph, the Nubian Guard. He had offered you a chance to come with him, to give you time away from your brother's dominating presence, but you had refused. Whatever disagreement you and your brother were having, your place was still by his side. Still, things could not stand as they were.

It occurred to you that there was possibly one person your brother would listen to, and one person that would grant you audience unannounced at this hour. That of Queen Melisende, master of Jerusalem and commander of this army. You drag your feet toward her camp, passing unchallenged by the guards. Your reputation as a warrior was growing, you were considered 'ferocious' and were known all throughout the camp. Not just for your prowess in battle, but for your misdeeds in Antioch, the abduction of a princess that only a skilled advocate had managed to keep you from being broken on a wheel or hanged from a noose.
>>
Melisende was seeing off the Roman Prince, Manuel. The sight of the man made you bristle, you were no friend to the Greek nobility, and the sight of you brought an amused smile to the chest nut coloured man's face. He passed you with a chuckle, whether directed at you, something from the Queen, or at some private joke you couldn't say.

The Queen herself was dressed in blue cloth, her magnificent honey blonde hair tied back in twin braided plaits that hung over her shoulder, a silver belt about her waist. She hardly looked a mother of two, scarcely past thirty and slim. When she saw you she smiled.

"hugo," she called you by name, you doubted many other bastard-born could say the same, "Did you want something?" she held her hand towards the open flap of her tent, "Come inside, we can talk."

You could hardly refuse her, queen that she was, nor would you since she had so clearly read your mood. You went within the tent, the light cut out, the wide interior oddly gloomy. A hawk sat upon a stand, hooded and jessed, by a writing table. She had a real bed set up, framed and mattresses'd, and many chests no doubt filled with adornments. A pitcher of wine sat on her desk, with cups used. A shared drink with Prince Manuel, she now poured you a cup, her back to you as she fussed with the cups.

"Sit," she flapped a hand at a seat, and it was still warm from its previous occupant once you sat.

"Thanks, thank you, for seeing me," you said, leaning forward in you seat, hands clasped before you.

"I could hardly refuse my son's favourite playmate," she said, turning back to you with a smile that stole men's wits. She brought you a silver horn of wine, then took her own seat. "How can I help you?" she said, reclining back, finger tapping the arm of her chair. She did not drink.

"I could use some advice," you said, turning the drinking horn around in your hands.

"The fight with your brother?" you looked up to see a concerned smile on her face, "News travels fast in this camp," she said. You nodded. "What's brought two fine young men to blows when there are plenty of heathens around?" she asked, "I can guess, but I'd rather hear it from you."

You took a sip. You felt very much a boy in front of the queen. "A girl," you said, and waited for her laugh. It never came. You looked up to her again and her expression was tender, understanding. "There's a woman I wish to marry, but my brother has other plans," you said.

"Is it the convert?" she said. You nodded. "I thought as much. You've loved this girl for some time, haven't you?" you nodded. You felt struck dumb. She crossed her arms. "Love is a powerful, dangerous thing," she said, "And according to the church, it is the gift of God. But we must never confuse lust for love, or we are surely damned." Was this just lust gone wild, rather than love? No, you were certain that wasn't the case.

"What should I do?" you asked, "I love her, but my brother demands me to leave her. I'll not dishonour the woman I love, or the one I'm bound to by marriage. I'll not take a mistress and father bastards. For me it must be one or the other."

"You see things so cleanly," Melisende said, voice rich with amusement, "Either a thing is good or bad, black or white, honourable or dishonourable. It's a refreshingly simple view of the world. If only the world were so simple." She pursed her lips, eyes turning heavenward. When she brought them back down to you they seemed tired.
>>
"I'll not speak on what is right or what is wrong for you. I will just say that I married for duty rather than love, that I put the kingdom before myself, to protect it, to strengthen it. And I think of what I have now, and what I endured to reach it. A dominating brute of a husband, a war of words in the court that near become a war in truth, plots and games and children. And now I sit the queen uncontested, commanding an army against Egypt. But my tale is not yet finished, the future may turn another corner and bring untold consequence upon my house."

"So are you saying I should do my duty, or what's right?" you asked, trying to decipher her meaning.

She sighed, stroking a golden braid. "Doing your duty and what is right, it's rarely the same thing," she said.

These weren't the simple answers you wanted, and maybe she saw that on your brow.

"I'll say that the law of the land commands you to follow the wishes of your brother," she said, "You are his squire, a junior in his household. But when have you or your brother given a damn about the law of the land?" That was true enough, you almost laughed at it but you had little good humour in you. "Was there something else you might ask me?" she said, her brow raising, her voice taken over by a light suspicion.

>>
You drank your wine before you spoke, the question was one hard to give out. A silence lingered between you and the queen, who sat waiting with patience.

"I'd join your household, if you'd have me," you said, words halted and mumbled.

Her expression was kind, but you knew her answer before she spoke. "You're just a squire, Hugo," she said, "A subject of your brother. If you should attain your knighthood however, ask again and my answer may change."

"I understand," you said, "Thank you."

She leaned forward from her chair, braids swinging gently, and placed a soft kiss on your brow. It brought a blush over you. "You are a fine young man," she said, sitting back, "If my own son grows to be half as good as you are, I would be proud."

You rose from your chair uncomfortably, ducking a quick bow. "Thank you, my lady," you said. You left the tent trying to hide your fluster and near knocked over your sister as she came in. You caught sight of a large purple bruise marring her face, but Mathilde didn't slow, she recovered quick from the bounce off your chest and circled 'round you to enter. "Mathilde," you heard the queen say as you left.

One-Eyed Bayard waited outside with the queen's guards. The man-at-arms gave you a friendly nod as you left, one you returned if a little more forced. The queen had not consoled you as you had hoped, nor had she taken you into her service to separate you from your problems. It seems there was no easy answer from this problem.

The day was fading and the smell of cooking meat came out with the first sight of the stars. A wet hunger took your mouth and your belly, you could surely stand to eat. Still, returning to your camp could draw further confrontation with your brother, mayhap you should dine with another camp tonight.

I fucking said it last time. Hugo can do whatever the fuck he pleases once he earns his knight spurs. Will may be head of household but until Hugo becomes a free knight, he's gonna be a slave to big bro's plans.

What is up with this Elias obsession lately? He's a manipulative asshole. It's infuriating how much the players wanna suck his dick nowadays.

>>
>>48818497
Truth be told. Only really like that with Matty. With Wilhelm i prefer being skeptical and with Hugo it is almost downright hate.

I prefer to play the three MCs differently rather than just play them all as a selfinsert or Microsoft Excel.

I voted Elias here because i assume Hugo's distrust to Elias will cause him to believe he has a part in Matty's bruise.
>>

Same. I play the three siblings at cross-purposes.

Then again, I have found playing as Wil getting abit disquieting, lately.

Wil, Matty and Hugo are people working to their own ends but also care for each other to varying degrees this can lead to both awesome and tragic conclusions such as Gailee and Sabeen
>>
Count Elias had earned you a reprieve from the noose. He had taken up your cause and argued your case in front of the assembled lords of Jerusalem, the High Court. He had done this though the two of you were far from friends, indeed you had counted him a personal enemy. Perhaps you owed him a visit, and a thank you in person for his effort.

The Count of Maine was set up with the other foreign knights, Germans, Italians, French, as much mercenaries as holy crusaders. You knew very few people in this part of the war camp, indeed it seemed another world entirely compared to the domains of the Levantine lords. French was spoken freeely, of many dialects, you barely understand a handful of words that were flung back and forth, between soldiers, between the women that kept the camps. A snaggle toothed woman pinched at your backside as you passed, and the look you shot her brought guffaws of laughter from her and the other tired women with her.

Shaking your head, you came into the Maine camp. Soldiers eyed you suspiciously, an air of hostility pressing in around you. Perhaps you had made a mistake coming here.

Elias himself sat by the fire with a cup of wine and a smokey dark woman in his lap. She was beautiful, though plainly dressed, in brown peasant garb of rough spun linen. It did nothing to hide her form. The sight of you brought a smirk across Elias' well-jawed face, red stubble grown across his cheeks, his red hair grown long and curling around his neck.

"Look Dangerosa, the bastard has come to visit us," he spoke with a slur, the man was bordering on drunk.

"A handsome young bastard," Dangerosa said, which made Elias laugh.

"Perhaps I should give you to him, he takes everything else he wants, him and his brother," Elias went so far as to squeeze Dangerosa's breast, "Do you like her, Hugo? Take her if you want her."

"I came to thank you," you said, "For saving my life."
>>
Mathilde POV was the worst thing that ever happened to this quest
>>
"Thank me," Elias said, "Thank me. He thanks me, Dangerosa. He thanks me while his lord dishonours me." The cup dropped from his hand, the wine splashing across the fire. He pushed Dangerosa up as he stood. The man was bigger than you. "I did nothing for you, boy," he said, his feet unfirm beneath him, "And all I did has been dashed to pieces in one afternoon. Wilhelm, Wilhelm says one thing one day and a different thing the other." His expression grew haggard.

"I am not my brother," you said, "I don't know what my brother has done to upset you-"

"He's robbed me, robbed my family. And when I offer him friendship he spits on my hand," Elias staggered back, sat down hard, he either had too much drink or too much emotion to stand. Dangerosa massaged his shoulders, a pout on her lips.

"I don't know what you are talking about," but you could guess.

"You don't know anything," Elias sneered, "Donkey-brained fool."

It is possible for two people to have the same name.
>>
You let the insults slide by. What did a jackanape's words mean to you? Nothing more than the shit from a horse.

"What happened, sir?" you asked. He glowered as if he planned murder.

"Your brother and I had discussed a marriage, between myself and your sister," he said, "An honourable match, no? I am of the House of Anjou, kin to kings and emperors, dukes, royalty. Count of Maine and all its riches, even if my brother does not want to admit it." He closed his eyes, massaged his temple, "A good husband for your sister. But then your brother, ignoble and thoughtless, pledges her to that stuttering oaf of Galilee, fat and uncouth Elinard. Lord of rocks and scorpions."

"My brother has been making many promises concerning marriage of late," you said. If you did not like Elias, and you did not, you felt a small twinge of empathy considering your shared situation.

A bowl of meat was handed to Elias by one of his men, with it a crust of bread. He ate quickly, using the bread to pool the stew into his mouth, ignoring the dribble of brown water down his chin.

"Sit," he said, "Eat." You did as he requested and a bowl was served to you.

"Is that why you saved me, to endear yourself to my brother?" you said, your hunger no longer so pressing. Still, you took a nibble.

"Fat lot of good it did," he said, "Be sure it was out of no love for you so do not mistake me."

"Elias, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire," you said. It brought a snort from the Count as he ate, dark humour in his light eyes. "I came to thank you, not pledge to you my love. I'd say I could speak with my brother on your behalf to repay the debt, but my brother and I aren't speaking right now."

"You are so simple I sometimes forget you aren't completely stupid," Elias set aside his empty bowl. "I have brothers of my own, back in Anjou, and sisters. A pack of scheming rodents. You know my brother Geoffrey is threatening to take my land? As if Anjou wasn't enough for him. Maine is mine, by Christ." His tongue seemed loosened by drink, wandering with his mind.

"Is this about your brother now, or mine?" you asked.

"Brothers," he spat, "You can't kill them." Then he looked to you, and you saw a thought creep into his mind. He leaned forward. "You say you owe me a debt, would you help me to repay it?"

You shifted uncomfortably. "I'll not pledge to help you blindly," you said, "Even if you spared me an execution."

"I want you help this midnight," he said, "To meet your sister. I want to, I must speak with her again, in private." That was not a comfortable request.

It was not an easy answer, but you owed him your life.

"Alright," you said, "I'll help you with my sister, but you must behave honourably."

Elias' eyes shone with amusement. "There's no such thing as 'honour', boy, there is only living and dying," he said. He did not stand, instead he turned away, "I've got my answer, and with it your measure. See how he turns on his brother? Do you see?" he looked to his men, to the woman beside him, and their smiles were like a pack of wolves. You had a dread feeling that you had made a terrible mistake coming here, "Go away Hugo, I'll call on you another time, for another cause, or word of this promise you've made will reach your brother and strain the two of you forever."

You felt your throat close as if by a noose. What did he mean by this, what had you done?

"Get out, go," he dismissed you with a wave of his hand, "Begone from my sight with your false shield of honour." He took another cup of wine, draining it greedily. You stood up.

"My lord," you gave a stiff bow, but he wasn't listening, he was back in his cups. You walked away with anger bristling your skin. Let the battle come fast, you wanted to kill something.

Please, everybody just step back and take a breather. Take a second, get a drink or something.

I'm honestly sorry about the 'no' vote, there were a lot of write-ins following a similar theme, if the 'no' votes really did win out over those write-ins that's my bad. Just don't start savaging each other, it drains the fun out of this game for everyone.

What had you been thinking? You knew Elias better than anyone, better than Wil, better than Matty. You should have thought twice before even approaching the man. You thought to tell Wl, then shook. What was there to say? No, you had a better idea.

It was dark when you came into the queen's cap, and Bayard was sitting outside Mathilde's tent. The soldier saw you approach.

"Looking to say goodnight to your sister?" he asked, scars pulling around his grin.

"Something like that," you said.

"Well go on in, I won't stop you," he said. You gave a touch of your forelock as you pushed through the tent flap.

It was dark inside, Matty rose from her bed, a shadow in the shadows of her tent, a slim outline. "Who is it?" her voice was tense.

"It's me," you said.

The rustle of sheets, she drew up to sit, legs pulled up. "Hugo," she said, "What do you want?" You came to sit beside her bed, thinking on how to phrase it. "What is wrong?" her pale face was visible in the dark, delicate features marred by a purple bruise and look of concern.

"Who hit you?" you asked.

"No one," she replied, very quick, too quick. "Are you so concerned for every scratch I take? Maybe you can kiss this scrape on my knee, make it all better." The concern turned to a teasing smile. She pulled up her blankets and her shift to show her calves, there was a slight scratch beneath her knee.

"Matty," you said, the words were cluttered in your head.

"What?" she said, "What is it Hugo, you're starting to make me nervous." The smile she wore had a touch of anxiety to it now.

"I saw Elias," you said.

"Oh?" you did not like the way she said that, or the way her chest rose and eyes widened.

"You know he's scum, right?" you said, "You know he's our enemy, Wil's enemy. Everything he does, its done out of spite."

She was silent for a moment. "Perhaps you misjudge him," she said.

"I saw him, I wanted to make good on my debt to him, and he tricked me. I promised him I'd help him see you, and he turned that around on me, used it against me to pull me further into his schemes. He did so while fondling a whore on his lap."

"He wanted to see me," she said, and then snapped, "Why?" Her gaze had gone hawkish.

"Because..." you faltered a little, "Because Wil has promised you to Elinard of Galilee, once and for all, and Elias hated it. He was drunk, and mean, and he said he wanted to see you and needed my help, but he was lying, he just wanted to me to say something foolish in front of his men, something he could use against me. He's a snake, through and through."

"So you say," she replied, her expression lost in thought, troubled thought.

"Who hit you?" you reached a hand toward her face, "Tell me, Matty. Don't lie."

"I already told you, nobody hit me," she said, and she brushed her hair down to mask the bruise, "I slipped and struck the corner of my table." It was a naked lie. You knew it was a lie.

Also we should have Hugo tell will before anyone else does. Wilhelm loves his brother, and I know he will forgive him if we play it like we thought that he'd be honorable. But as soon as we promised he showed his true colors. I'm sure wil would be sympathetic.
>>
>>48820887
Of purse he's attracted to her, that doesn't change anything. He wouldn't bother with her if she wasn't attractive
>>
>>48820887
I don't see the point your trying to make. I'm sure he's attracted to most women he tries to bed.
>>
>>48820922
I'm just saying that because Mattie's immediate reaction will be negative, like we're implying that there's no way his love for her is genuine.
>>
>>48820908

Thats a little wrong though. Elias went to her when he was very vulnerable, she was the one he went to when he was terrified of dying, that doesn't speak of just physical attraction but of emotional attachment as well.

If you want to try and disuade her, full out untruths like that will have a whiplash effect as she'd latch onto the points which are untrue and discard everything hugo says.
>>
"Elias, he's trying to turn us into weapons against our brother, we can't let him," you said, and she gave you an unhappy smile at that, fingers clutching her bed sheet, breathing unsteady.

"Who hit you?" you asked again, leaning into her

"Whoever it is, I can protect you," you said, hand closing on her shoulder. She trembled. "I won't let anyone hurt you, tell me and I'll deal with them."

"Protect me, Hugo? He is to be my lord husband, it is his right to strike me should I anger him," her eyes were wide and smile forced, it scared you worse than a Saracen axe.

"Elinard did this?" you said, your fingers brushing her bruise, "Does Wil know?"

"He does not and he will not," she replied, "You will not let a a little bruise and a bit of torn cloth tear this army apart." Those didn't sound like Mathilde's words. Her mask began to crumble, inch by inch. "It won't matter if it's Elinard or another man, Elias or Wil or Jesus Christ, it seems I'm just a pawn to all of them." Her words bubbled in her throat, tears starting at the corner of her eyes.

You took her into your arms and she made a choking sob against your shoulder. You stroked her hair.

"It's alright, it's alright," you said, but the words turned to just soothing noises. She shook against you. The back of your knuckles gently pulled back her hair, touched the side of her face. Her large blue eyes were narrow and flooded with tears.

"I don't think Wil was trying to use you," you said, "I think he just, he's trying to do what's best for everyone. It's the same with me, he just-"

"It's not about Wil," she sniffed, "It has nothing to do with Wil. It's not about anyone, it's about everyone. It's..." her mouth closed with a frustrated sob.

"What is it?" you asked, the palm of your hand caressing her cheek, the tears running along your fingers like rain water through a gutter. "Talk to me Matty, tell me what's wrong. I'm your brother, I love you." She looked to you through the part of her hair, face writ with anguish.

"I'm not a person," she said, "Not to Wil, not to father, not to any man." Her hands ran up your back and she pulled from you a little. "Except you," she said, and her chest rose and lips parted, her hands found your shoulders, your chest. "You...you've never...you've always..." her eyes widened, "Why did you have to be my brother?" she said, and she trembled as she brought her lips against yours.

You broke her kiss with a gentle push backward, your lips separating.

"I'm sorry," she said. She pulled away, pulled up her knees. "I'm sorry."

You shifted uncomfortably. "It's alright," you said, "You're upset."

"I just..." she choked back a bubble, "I'm sorry."

"You're just upset Matty, it happens," you touched her shoulder.

"A sister just kisses her brother?" she said.

You pulled her into your arms again. "Maybe," you said, "Sister or no, I love Sabeen."

"You should," she said, "And she should love you. The two of you, you're both so good it hurts my heart." Her hand strayed up to your hair, brushed it back, "I wish I was as good. Maybe, if I could have something as good, someone as good, just for a little while I could pretend." You touched her chin, tipped her head up. She was pretty, even bruised and crying, even so upset. It gave her a fey look.

"I love you too Matty," you said.

"But not like that," she smiled a broken little smile.

"Not like that," you replied, and kissed her forehead.

She lay back on the bed arms out above her, her eyes closed, the smile still on her face. "You should go," she said, "before I taint you further with my wickedness." Her smile grew like she might laugh.

"You aren't wicked," you said. The bed sheets were drawn up, as was her shift, showing the small cut on her knee. You leaned down and kissed the little cut, then stood. You went to the tent flap. Looked back at her so miserable.

"Goodnight, Hugo," she said.

Would she be well, if she were left alone?

You turned back, back to her bed, and sat upon the ground, your sword across your lap. Mathilde turned onto her side, looking down at you.

"I'll be here when you wake," you said, eyes on the tent flap. You felt the tips of her fingers brush through your hair, and then felt her hand fall away.

Then there came the sound of her gentle snoring. You smiled as you closed your own eyes, and slept.

From thread 26

>Chihirizahd whispered in your ear. "Your sister is a strange girl," she said, "While you were gone she fretted for you, and fretted for your squire as well - though she masked that care with cursing. Do you think she loves him?"

>"He is her brother, no matter what she says," you replied.

>"Oh but is it a sisterly love?" she pondered. That left a troubled flutter in your gut. She smiled at the look of shock on your face. "I forget that you are Christian," she said, and kissed you lightly on the cheek, "I shall tell you a story some time. Of the ancient princes of Persia, who bedded sister to brother and thought it holy." You felt a shudder in your loins.

Just to clarify a bit about Mathilde and 'incest'.

Mathilde has no physical attraction to Wilhelm. Outside of recognizing his handsome traits from an objective view point, she holds no interest in him. He is, or at least was, her idealized big brother.

Her feelings toward Hugo though have always been confused, partly because for a long time she refused to recognize him as family. She considered his presence a stain on her mother's honour. However he's also an attractive, some what charismatic and likable person. Mathilde wouldn't act on this subconscious attraction unless she was under a great deal of mental stress, stress related to her position as a woman in this society, essentially over the fact she's considered as just a piece of meat being argued over by a bunch of men. She thought Elias was another person who saw her as more than a piece of meat on the market, having Hugo tell her 'no, he's the same as the rest', wounded her deeply and she acted out.
>>
>>48821883
>+1 INT was from doing what now?

What would had happened if they had gone for it ?

Just how disgusted would they be with themselves the day after ?

Did Chiri really see it or was it merely a joke that turned out to be correct ?

I've suffered anxiety and major depression for a while, it's just been worse lately. Running this quest is usually a relief from the depression, but today my mood started low and stayed low. The shitstorm didn't help, but I'm not going to blame my own fucked up head on you guys.

>What would had happened if they had gone for it ?
A smut scene. And then potential fall out if they were discovered.
>Just how disgusted would they be with themselves the day after ?
Hugo would have been deeply ashamed and disgusted with himself, but Matty would have been very okay with it. She wanted to give her maidenhead to a good man that loved her, and she'd consider that goal achieved.
>Did Chiri really see it or was it merely a joke that turned out to be correct ?
She saw something there. I think I played it off as just her teasing in that thread, but I was planting a seed. The seed wouldn't have blossomed if Hugo hadn't barged in and been all 'that guy you like is a shit bag'.

Hugo is trying to become his own man and marry Sabeen. Try to get a bit away from Wilhelms control as he feel suffocated.

>>
>>48822150
I'm writing a Young Adult book, a kind of Urban Fantasy/Action Horror thing based on Zoroastrian myth and with a bit of a Michael Moorcock thing going on too. I won't bore you with the details.

A friend of mine who is stupidly talented as both a writer and editor looked at the first draft and essentially said 'it's shit' in the politest way possible while also saying it has potential, so the second draft is radically different.
>>

>>48822182
Hugo is gonna marry Sabern. He's gonna be given Ramla and left to live his own life.

Matty is gonna marry Elinard, after he spends a good deal of time with Hugo and Wilhelm to fix his character.

Wilhelm is gonna become duke of Ascalon and maybe gaza. He's gonna marry Iovetta and be good to his siblings.

Happy endings. Except for Mathilde.
>>
>>48822220
You gonna tell us about it when it gets published? If you announce it on your Twitter I'll buy it
>>
>>48822182
I believe Hugo is at least going to go to Wil with this information and a confession of what he did and what he found out.

Wil is going to go fucking ballistic and hunt down Elinard and Bures. But at this point hes not going to tear up the arranged marriage. Hes going to wring out a promise and commitment that Elinard will actually treat his future wife properly and that if anything else like this happens, there'll be hell to pay. This I think would be the best and most reasonable course of action while ensuring Mattie is somewhat safe. I'd also hope that he'd relent on Sabeen once hes seen Hugo and mattie like this and realise what hes done to his siblings.

Mathilde... is up shit creek. Her only course of action probably would be to continue her duties to the Queen and accept that she would be entering the arranged marriage with Elinard... God I wish there was something we could do for her that she'd be in a marriage she wanted.

how did Hugh's flank collapse if Gerard brained the assassin?
>>
>>48822390
>what would be a Hypothetical quest you would find awesome to play/run?
Y'know outside the Three Kingdoms stuff I don't really play quests. I just can't seem to get into them most of the time. But even with traditional games, playing DnD or whatever, I'm an awful player but a decent DM, that seems to be true for quests as well.

I guess I've entertained the idea of doing a martial arts kind of quest. Think S.E Hinton's the Outsiders or Rumblefish meets Street Fighter. A Fatal Fury or Final Fight kind of thing, set in a fictional, vaguely North American city with different gangs tearing up the streets while a corrupt police force sits around doing nothing. Something kind of dumb with a bunch of colourful characters.
>>
I also wouldn't mind doing some kind of planetary romance/transported to another world story, more in the vein of out there 60s-70s sci-fantasy than DnD/Tolkien stuff, but that feels like a lot of work.
>>
>>48822590
It'll actually be less work. sInce scifi allows you to make up all the shit on the fly and reduces the amount of historical data to look up
>>
>>48822518
Maybe running a happy-go-lucky quest would be good for your brain
