>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a nineteen year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

It's time. Let's make this monkey a king.

The search for the Dragonballs seems as if it's finally getting underway.

Finding the first one wasn't much of a search. After all, it was sitting right outside of West City, and Goku was able to get it with Bulma's help in about an hour.

This next one is well out of the way, and in a village instead of the woods right next to the big city. It sounds like this the search for this ball will be a little more similar to your previous hunts.

Still, it should be pretty easy to retrieve this Dragonball, and really, all the others. With how strong you and Goku have become, there isn't a whole lot than can threaten the two of you. All you really need to worry about is protecting Bulma.

But, this ball may come with an added challenge, one that you aren't sure you can overcome without a miracle.

You want to get Goku a date, and it sounds like this Misa girl who lives in the area might just be the one you're able to set Goku up with.

As you pilot the Dark Nimbus toward the next ball, you can't help but wonder what lies in store. It's an adventure, but a new kind.

>A. Ask Goku about Misa

>B. Ask Bulma how much further it is

>C. Suggest Goku get this ball alone while you and Bulma hunt for another

>B. Ask Bulma how much further it is

Hopefully we can get the balls before Piccolo does something terrible.
>>
>>48870218
What could Piccolo do right now that wouldn't result in you and Goku rearranging his ass with his face?
>>
>>48870242
I meant do anything to someone or something before we find him.

He can take pretty much anyone else on the planet except for us, so I'm okay with splitting up to get things done quicker in this scenario.

If it were Krillin or something, I'd want him to stay close. But Goku is strongest.

Piccolo could do anything he wants right now as long as he bails before Goku or Tofoo shows up.
>>
>>48870218
"How much further is it?" you ask Bulma as the Nimbus and Dark Nimbus race toward the next Dragonball.

"We should be there in a few minutes," she answers, glancing down at the radar.

"Goku, why don't you go after this ball alone?" you suggest. "Bulma and me can go find another one while you take care of it."

"Alright," Goku says, sounding a bit surprised, but not upset or anything. "See you guys soon."

The Nimbus cloud picks up speed, leaving you and Bulma behind as Goku makes way for the village.

"Why are we splitting up?" Bulma asks. "I thought you wanted to try and get Goku a date at that village."

>A. You'll find this ball and get to Goku before he finds his

"We'll find the next ball and get back to Goku before he even finds the one he's after," you tell Bulma with confidence. "So, where is the next ball?"

Taking one arm from his position around your neck, she retrieves the Dragon Radar once again, hitting the button on top of it to expand the range.

"About a hundred miles South," she tells you, pointing in that direction. "Shouldn't take long to reach."

The Dark Nimbus changes course, making a sharp turn and heading to the South. A hundred miles is not a particularly long trip for your cloud, so you reach your destination fairly quickly.

Or, rather, you get close to it. That's when you notice a pair of fighter jets heading right for you.

"Maybe they're just passing through?" Bulma suggests nervously.

As if just to prove her wrong, the planes open fire, and you bring the Nimbus into a dive, avoiding the gunfire and dropping toward the ground.

The planes shoot over your head, then circle around and come at you again.

>A. Tell the Dark Nimbus to get Bulma to safety while you confront the jets

"Hang on," you tell Bulma before bringing the Nimbus into a steep climb.

The planes continue to pursue, firing on you and as they slowly close in on the two of you.

"Do something!" Bulma shouts.

Turning your upper body, you take one hand off Bulma, holding your palm toward the oncoming planes.

A ball of light emerges, and you send it toward the oncoming aircraft. It moves faster than the pilots can react, striking one aircraft in the wing and sending it into an uncontrollable spin.

The other aircraft decelerates, keeping its distance as it continues to fire on your cloud. When you fire another Light Shot, the pilot has enough time to react, and turns out of the way.

But, the pilot doesn't expect you to be able to control the blast, so when you bring the Light Shot around and direct it toward the back of the plane, he doesn't even know it's coming.

The ship explodes in a fiery blast, bits of wreckage falling to the ground below.

"Can't we go anywhere without somebody shooting at us?" Bulma asks.

"Nope," you answer, continuing on toward the Dragonball.

"That was weird though, right?" Bulma asks as the two of you continue on your path. "Those guys just attacked us out of nowhere. I don't think we're near any military bases or anything."

You don't think you've actually seen a military base in your entire life. Well, unless you count the Red Ribbon Army, who had several outposts. But in all your journeys, you've never run afoul of an official military force, and you're out in the middle of nowhere, far from any kingdoms or cities that would have an army.

"Tofoo, look out!" Bulma shouts.

A loud boom from below gets your attention, and the Dark Nimbus steers out of the way to avoid the new round of fire.

Looking down, you spot a single, moderately-sized building surrounded by tanks, guns, and soldiers.

Flying above the building is a flag with the image of a red ribbon.

You're sure that you can handle these goons, but if Bulma's with you, she's in grave danger. She can't take bullets and explosions like you can, and she's no warrior.

You have to get her someplace safe.

As the shots keep coming, you turn the Dark Nimbus around, retreating and looking for a safe place for Bulma to hide.

The tanks roll after you, and you can feel the vibrations of more planes as they streak through the sky, heading right for you.

Turning your upper body, you fire another Light Shot, not guiding it, just using it as a deterrent to keep the aircraft from coming any closer.

You're in a rocky wasteland in the middle of nowhere, so your hiding places aren't particularly numerous. The best you can find is a rock formation Bulma can take cover beneath.

"Bulma, are you alright with lying low down there?" you ask.

Bulma looks nervously over your shoulder, watching the oncoming aircraft. When she speaks, there is a good amount of worry in her voice.

"Sure..." she tells you. "Anywhere I'm not being shot at sounds pretty good to me."

You bring the Dark Nimbus down, and the aircraft shoot right above you, circling around for another attack.

The Nimbus comes to a stop right in front of the rock formation, and Bulma hops off, running for cover.

You ascend back into the air, finding the planes already heading right for you. This time, it isn't bullets that come flying your way. Instead, the trio of aircraft fire missiles in your direction.

With both hands free, you're able to fire off two Light Shots at once, taking out two of the missiles in short order.

As the first two missiles explode without ever reaching their target, the third keeps coming, and you swerve out of the way to avoid it.

The three planes spread out, getting some distance before turning around for another attack. Meanwhile, the remaining missile, seemingly locked onto you, comes at you from the back.

You hold a hand toward it and destroy it easily with a third lightshot, then climb to avoid the fire from the planes.

The give chase, climbing into the air in pursuit and continuing open fire.

Som got a little harsher of course, and there's a point where players complaints actually are valid, but you need to take things with a grain of salt when players are running into a roadblock or not just auto-winning.

These guys are persistent, and you suppose you have to give them some credit. Most people would run away after watching someone destroy their missiles effortlessly.

But, brave or not, they're no match for you, and you aren't going to let them keep on shooting at you. It looks like it's time to put the Red Ribbon Army back in its place.

You turn the Dark Nimbus around, holding your hands toward the approaching aircraft, firing a pair of Lightshots that take out two of them.

As for the third one, you decide to do something different.

Leaping off of the Dark Nimbus, you land on the remaining aircraft, punching into the cockpit and grabbing the pilot by the collar. You pull him out of the plane, hopping off of it and letting it crash to the ground without its pilot to direct it.

"You probably don't want me to drop you," you tell the soldier. "Now, why is the Red Ribbon Army looking for the Dragonballs?"

"I-I don't know!" he stammers. "None of us do!"

You begin to loosen your grip, and the man panics.

"I swear! We have no idea where he is!" he assures you. "He changes locations all the time, nobody knows where he is!"

"Okay then, who's in charge of your base?" you ask.

"Colonel Silver," he answers.

"Silver?" you ask.

The soldier nods frantically. "Yeah, one of the big officers from the old army. We all thought he was dead, but he was just being held prisoner in some village."

Oh yeah, you got him locked up forever ago and never did anything about him after that. You must have just forgotten.

You slowly descend, placing the man down on the ground and taking back to the air.

Assuming that soldier was telling the truth, the man in charge of the base is quite dangerous. From what you remember about Colonel Silver, he was a cold, cruel, and intelligent officer who was capable of defeating even the Ox King.

He should be no threat to you, but you might want to be careful just in case.

First thing's first, though. Before you attack the Red Ribbon base, you need to go find Bulma.

Leaving the wounded soldier and wrecked planes behind, you fly back to the rock formation where you left Bulma, finding her lying low there, peeking out only occasionally until she sees you.

As you come in for a landing, she steps out into the light.

"Did you get the Dragonball?" she asks.

"But, it's just the Red Ribbon Army," Bulma tells you. "You and Goku beat them when you were kids. You should be able to handle them by yourself, right?"

"I don't want you getting yourself captured or anything," you tell her. "This'll be a lot easier if you're someplace safe."

You half-expect her to get angry at you for that, and she does briefly bite her lip and give an irritated look, but she ultimately nods in agreement with your decision.

You scoop Bulma up and have her direct you toward the village. She uses the radar to tell you where the other Dragonball, and, presumably Goku can be found.

The first leg of the journey is undertaken by travelling on foot, but once you're confident that you aren't being followed, you take to the skies, flying toward the village where Goku was headed.

It's not a particularly long flight, and you soon see the village. It's a pretty simple-looking place, and you can tell the people live relatively simple lives. They don't seem particularly poor, but they probably lack several of the conveniences of the big city.

You land in the midst of the village, setting Bulma down and looking around. Not many people seem to be out, though the few who are don't seem as freaked out by you dropping from the sky as most would be.

That probably means Goku's been through here.

Atop a hill overlooking the village, you see a castle.

Goku did mention Princess Misa, so you figure that, if he's not around here, he's probably up at the castle.

Walking this time, you and Bulma climb the hill to the castle, finding a pair of men in armor standing guard outside of it.

Each man is armed with a spear, and they hold the weapons at the ready as the two of you approach. You can't sense any significant energy from them, so you figure they're just regular people.

"What sort of errand?" Bulma asks.

Looking Westward, you close your eyes and do your best to sense for your friend.

You clear your mind of all distractions, and stretch out with your senses, your perception spreading to the village and beyond. But, you can't seem to find Goku anywhere.

It may be possible that he's just out of range or suppressing his power. But, if he's at full strength, you should be able to sense him pretty much anywhere on the planet. And, if he's in a situation where he needs to hide his strength, that means he's in some kind of danger.

Looks like you're not the only one who's run into some trouble.

"Bulma, I want you to go to the village and stay there," you tell the woman beside you.

"Why?" she asks, looking over at you with worry. "Did something happen to Goku?"

"DARK NIMBUS!" you shout into the sky.

The cloud soon comes, and hovers in front of you, waiting for you to jump on. You hop onto the Nimbus, and it speeds off toward the West, beginning your search for Goku.

As you fly over the land, looking for your friend with no way to track him, you realize how hopeless this entire search might end up being. "West" isn't exactly a great set of directions, and with no way to sense Goku, there's about a million ways you could miss him completely even if you do end up in the right general area.

The trail from the village stretches far into the distance, and from your vantage point in the air, you can only see two notable landmarks.

There is a forest on the right side of the trail, but to left you can see an old wooden house, that looks to have been abandoned some time ago.

You decide to keep following the trail, and see what you find. The Dark Nimbus takes you on your way, flying high above the path.

In the distance, you spot two people walking down the path, seemingly carrying something between the two of them.

Deciding to get a better look, you have the Dark Nimbus descend, allowing you to better see what they're up to.

Laser swords

Tofoo needs one too. So does Yamcha. In fact lightsabers for everyone. Goku can get a double-bladed one, to mimic his Power Pole.

Is this how we summon Eail to write more SAQ?

Apparently discussing the potential of a female Vegeta summoned him in Tuffle Quest the other day.

So, booze and monkey tits might call him from the depths of anonkun, away from his WWII stories.
>>
We should wish for all the surviving Saiyans except Goku to be female.
>>
>>48876906
But then people will never vote to kill Vegeta!
>>
>>48876906
>Except Goku

If we make him female then maybe people will put more effort into seducing him so we can get some fucking Gohans running around.

It's not even my fetish. I don't like it. I'm just trying to be pragmatic about saiyan eugenics

>Cell has Thunder Punch
>has Piccolo's ingenuity when it comes to fighting

Just got out of work the thread was a real enjoyable read. Searching for dragonballs is comfy. Last thread someone mentioned a Bear fang/claw fist idea I would love that if it ended in a bear hug. If we ever train our strength like we wanted we should do bear hugs and suplexes.
>>
>>48877136
Yeah, we have to train our strength next and little bit on endurance so it doesn't fall behind.

Bear hug shouldn't be the end. The bear hug should turn into a suplex

Just found this going through an old thread looking for Toofoo's gi colors , move ideas when we got bear shout.

>A. Bear Claw: Channeling energy into your hand during a claw-strike attack. Takes little energy but does take a good amount of focus to use, requiring a few seconds to ready. By putting extra energy into the strike, you can surround your nails with energy, allowing you to cut your opponent and do more damage (this enhanced version will take about half as much energy as a Kamehameha Wave)

>B. Bear Shout: Channel energy and release it from your mouth with a roar! This takes about as much energy as a Kamehameha, but it slightly weaker. Useful when your hands are immobilized, but it does take a few seconds to use, much like the Kamehameha

>C. Comet Punch: Surround your hand in energy and use an ultra-enhanced punch! Takes about a third the amount of energy of a Kamehameha, but does take a few moments to gather the energy

>D. Cannonball Kick: Flip at your opponent in a cannonball position and kick with both legs. Requires no energy, but probably won't work on a foe more than once. Can be a nice surprise attack, however
