The horrific transformation of the Goron's body continues. Parts rearranging, face distorting, the man he was changing further into a beast, a final, pained cry signaling its completion. This... thing that was once a Goron glares at you and Horon, then looks back at the door leading to the Great Fairy. A horrific roar, loud as a bomb's explosion, echoes through the room as it readies itself to face you.

[Twisted Servant of the Sealed Tyrant - Dodongoron]

This thing... it won't stop until it awakens that monster. You and Horon have to stop it, here and now, or there won't be a living soul left in Hyrule once that thing is out.

You quickly draw your blade, stabbing forward with it and firing a Sword Beam at the monster, hitting it right in its misshapen face. That clearly hurt it... but left you open to get hit by the monster as it charges.

"Termina!" Horon shouts, himself launching a fireball at the charging creature, again hitting it in the face.

You manage to, however, roll as you're knocked away, and quickly slip on the Power Gloves, bolting up and lunging at the creature, grabbing it by the tail and stopping it cold. It roars angrily, but it doesn't look like there's a lot it can do to you right now.

You keep the monster in place, planting your feet hard and grabbing its tail with all your might. It roars that horrible, explosive roar again, and this time it seems like a jet of fire spews from its mouth, Horon nearly getting caught in its path. Still, you don't let up.

And Horon sees his chance when it tries to do it again. "HEY ASSHOLE! HAVE A TASTE OF YOUR OWN MEDICINE!" he hollers, throwing a fireball down the creature's throat. Its mouth closes as a rumble travels through the creature, a faint explosion can be heard deep inside it.

And then it lets out a shriek of pain, and... its body starts to warm up.

With all your might, you pull at the creature and fling it against the wall, spinning with your heel as you throw the monster... but sadly not in time for you to get out of the way as jets of fire erupt from the monster's body. You try to throw yourself down to avoid the flames, but it still, get singed slightly on the leg. You roll to make sure the fire's out, and while that hurt, at least it didn't do too much damage.

[Hearts: 5/7]

But the monster is free now, and it's not giving up this fight just yet. Horon moves to your side, ready to keep going, but letting out a grumble of "This thing is still standing? What the hell?!"

"It's going to take more than that to put it down." you note. But, looks like that trick put some kinks in its armor. It can't keep doing that, you think.

The monster tries lunging at you both again, but this time you're able to roll out of the way. As you do, you get out a bomb and ready it, eyes locked on the monster. It opens its mouth once more, you fling the bomb in, Horon tossing a fireball in after. The monster's mouth closes once more, but this time not quite quickly enough, as the fireball ignites the bomb and seems to injure the monster's misshapen jaw. Its body seems to shimmer, clearly building up heat again.

It readies itself for another charge. Horon prepares to fling another fireball at it.

The monster charges, Horon getting out of the way just in time, but... you end up knocked aside, the heat from its body blasting flames as it rampages. However, to your relief, it crashes into a wall. Now's your chance.

"Horon, stand back!" you command, running at the monster while it's dazed. You don't quite reach it before it can react, the creature's tail smacking you in the side... but you get your opportunity, grabbing it through the pain. "HhhhRREAAAAGH!" you yell out, lifting the creature, clearly surprising it as its head scrapes the ceiling, and suplexing it into the ground. The monster's body cracks heavily, chunks falling off of it.

You pant heavily, but the thing is completely open. You've got a chance to finish this!

"Horon, let's finish this!" you shout, drawing your sword again.

He pulls out his own broken blade, grinning wide. "All right, Termina! Last shot!"

The monster struggles to move as the both of you run towards it, at the last minute jumping up and giving a war cry of "FOR HYRULE!", plunging your swords deep into the beast.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HD87Ixy9p8

The monster's body twitches slightly as you both pull your swords out, moving back. It shimmers one last time, before small explosions erupt from it. In its last breath, it calls out in a pained, horrid gargle of a voice, "BREAK... SEAL..."

Most of the body vanishes into blackened mist as the explosions trail from tail to head. Though... what you're left with as it dies shocks you slightly. Its face seems to break apart, a... mask, with the face of a Goron on it in unrelenting agony, is the only thing left. And then that too breaks, first in half. A Heart Container pair is left behind as the creature is finally gone from this world.

You take one, Horon taking the other, both of you sighing with relief that this is over, Felicia cheerfully floating around you and Horon and praising your teamwork.

[Hearts: 8/8]

...though there is a curious thing resulting from the monster's demise. A tiny crater, that you can tell has light coming out of a crack in it.

"Horon, I'm going to check this out. Step back, and be on your guard." you ask, approaching the hole.

"What for? The monster's dead, isn't it?" he asks, starting to walk towards you.

You being your hand up to halt him, leaning down. It's... surprisingly bright down there, but the color of the light isn't what you'd expect for lava. It's... a bluish-white. You peek down into it...

And nearly leap back in fright, accidentally kicking some dirt to cover the hole.

There's... a monster in there, vaguely like a Dodongo in shape, but the size of it... it's like a large sail ship. All around the thing are what seemed to be chains of light, and a large seal of the Triforce upon its head. The creature itself seemed somehow... not asleep, but merely waiting. Like it had been forced to stop what it was doing, and has been waiting patiently, oh so patiently, to be allowed to move again.

You grab Horon by the cape and start walking briskly towards the entrance to the Great Fairy's room. "That... THING... wanted whatever I just saw unsealed. We are taking no chances. Great Fairy. NOW."

As you drag him, he makes the effort to push some dirt up with his foot over where the hole was, making sure it's nice and sealed. You reach the Fountain chamber...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA095BLpSD4

And the water starts to swirl around, but somehow give off a... flame-like pattern. The Fairy with you heads off to join with the others, all of them spiraling together into the Great Fairy's true form. A... lady in red, about the same size as the other fairies, perhaps slightly larger, with skintight dancer's clothes that leave little to the imagination. She spins her body, eyes closed, a warm smile across her face, as she greets the two of you.

"Hmhmhm~ Well done, heroes." the fairy states in a warm... almost flirtatious tone. "You both have done well to overcome the trials plaguing this Temple. Hmhm~" Her eyes shoot open as she bows to you and Horon. "I am the keeper of this Temple. The Great Fairy of Din." Her body spins again as she starts to dance around you and Horon. "And to answer your first question... yes, the creature will not awaken. I am still around, am I not?" she asks as she moves to you, her warm breath leaving a slight tingle in your ear. A flirtatious wink to you, and she next moves to Horon. "Such beautiful and handsome young heroes... Hmhmhm~ Well, what other questions do you have for me, while I prepare your... gifts?~" she asks, a finger stroking across your and Horon's jawlines before she giggles and floats away. Horon's face is again that bright red color, red as his outfit.

"Just... to clarify, you said that it would not awaken so long as you're here, correct? There's no risk of... say, the floor cracking open and rousing it from its slumber?" you question, ignoring the fact that your face feels slightly flushed. At least Horon is too distracted by his own feelings to notice.

The Great Fairy giggles teasingly. "That is correct, little... Termina." She looked like she needed a moment to remember to call you that. Well, thank you for not blowing the cover, Great Fairy. "That said, were I to be slain..." She makes a violent jerk, hand drawing across her neck. "...it would be but a simple task to free it from its bonds."

"Is there nothing that you can do to... say, reinforce the chamber it resides in?"

She bends over, smiling flirtatiously at you. "Hmhmhm~ clever as your namesake. Ah, but if only it were that simple..." She flips away, circling Horon as the boy starts to sweat. "The magic that holds it in place is its true prison. Any normal materials would last barely a moment."

"M-maybe a stone floor, at the very least." you suggest. "Furthermore... well, what IS that thing? And the Goron that tried to free it?"

(cont.)

Her rhythmic, flirty dance of hers slows, her tone becoming more serious. "More than a hundred years ago, a Hero in Green made her presence known to Hyrule, vanquishing a great monster. With her task complete, she left the lands in search of adventure, to right wrongs in Labrynna and Holodrum. But in spite of her best efforts... the Dodongorasque, the Monster of Power, would one day be restored with the help of two witches. Not even the sealing strength of the Blade of Evil's Bane could put it back into its slumber. It... has become a chosen creature beyond evils of legend. So, the Hero in Green gathered allies. Queen Zelda Hyrule. The Rebel King Onox." The smile on her face becomes... slightly nostalgic. "To see Wisdom, Courage, and Power work in unison. The Goddesses must have been overjoyed. But even together, they could not stop the Monster of Power. Not defeat it in the traditional sense. They worked to seal it." A finger trails from her lips to her chest, tapping in the center. "I volunteered to keep it here. My strength, my will, was the greatest among my sisters."

"And the Goron?"

"Was never truly a Goron." she replies, her tone picking up again. "It was a Dodongo, 'gifted' with the appearance of one who used to guard this Temple in years' past. A poor, lost spirit you two have put to rest."

...that explains the mask. "Great Fairy, the Heroes who founded this Temple... I..." You now can't help but blush, turning your head as you subtly show her the portrait. "...have questions about them."

Her face gains a devious, teasing grin. You're not sure you like that, and quickly hide the portrait. "Power and passion run parallel. Oh, how strong they were! How well they worked together... even if one had to keep their passion in check, for the sake of their duties." She leans towards you. "Ah, such a scandal it caused back in the day... I wonder if the Zelda in hiding has similar... well, guess we'll have to wait and see for when she shows herself, won't we?"

"W-we won't have to!" Horon declares, pumping his chest up. "I've made it my goal to find the lovely princess and restore her to the throne! And Termina is helping as we work to save Hyrule!"

The Great Fairy laughs a teasing, joyful laugh. "Oh my, such noble intentions for the little Noble boy~ But... is that aaaaaall you are seeking?~" She makes a heart shape with her fingers, shaking her hips from side to side. Horon... doesn't deny it, as he chuckles bashfully.

Oh Goddesses the poor boy... Well, last but not least, "Great Fairy, another question. The previous Hero in Green, of just a few years ago. You knew of him, right?"

"The one who stopped Gwonam and reformed the wizard, before... making sure the Princess was not slain in the coup, giving his life for her. Ah, he was a brave, courageous boy, so handsome, so..." She has this... dreamy look in her eyes. "Well, you could also say he's like his cousin here~" she replies as she points to-

...

Wait WHAT?!

Horon is... the Hero's cousin?!

He... seems to have an "oh right" moment as he looks to you, shrugging.

>A. Why didn't you bring this up before?
>B. ...don't bring attention to it, lest you make him suspicious
>C. Any other questions for the fairy?

Almost done, folks.

Part of me thinks I should have seen this coming.
Oh shit is Viol related to him too?

>A. Why didn't you bring this up before?
Don't really care about secrecy with Horon after all we've been through together.

>>49235466
I do. I mean, he's insufferable enough now, no need to make him more nuts regarding us.
>>
>>49235505
Insufferable? He's been invaluable.
>>
>>49235378
>He is not the hero in green, I don't care Also isn't "he" a girl anyway?
>>
>>49235532
This. We should ask "his" fairy just to be sure. Also with our luck, if Hoton isn't a girl thrn he is Ganon without memories.

Fits Ganon predecessor very well. A fool, male, red hair, full of power...

>"Great. Do you have any other big reveals you've been hiding? You're not secretly a girl or something?"

Thanks for playing, anon!
>>
>>49235598
Well, okay let's ask like this.

With our luck he or she is a decendant of Groose.
>>
>>49235598
Okay, fine this works.

And yeah, save not being a jerk he is basically Groose.

Well... things are certainly falling into place better, with that one. You momentarily consider asking him why he didn't bring it up before... but you know the answer is going to be something along the lines of "You didn't ask." Or... maybe he has a secret of his own. Actually... "Well. Great. No other big secrets to drop, right?"

He shrugs. "Depends on what you call a big secret."

"Like, you aren't actually a g-" ...on second thought, that'd be silly.

"I swear on my uncle's life, I am not a Gerudo." Horon tells you.

The Great Fairy chuckles again, floating towards you and Horon. Her finger traces across your jawlines again, this time stopping at your chins, slowly pushing the two of you closer together. "Well... do either of you have any further questions?~"

You shake your head no, the fairy's warm, comforting, soft, sly smile comes closer. Horon, at least, has one: "C-can we hurry this along please? We... have a Hyrule to save, a Princess to find, and hhhaaaghhghg please let's just hurry this along!"

You notice him crossing his legs, shaking slightly. You give the Great Fairy a slightly accusing glare, when she brings her lips to your and Horon's ears, slowly moving to your faces as she speaks warmly. "Then allow me to grant the two of you this gift. A gift of Power, of Flame... this..." she pushes herself back, spinning, then bringing her hands up, "...is DIN'S FIRE!"

Warmth fills your body, as power... true Power, seems to flow through you. Flames of might. Flames of passion. Flames... of hope. Flames that will bring light to Hyrule as the coming darkness creeps in. The Power you need to save Hyrule!

Had a good time. Anyways this power, it's what mechanically? A straight damage boost?

Thanks Kato

Had fun mom, thanks for running.
So, previous Zelda was involved in scandals huh? And we just happened upon a love letter to get on that portrait.
Was it not!Ganon or girl Link? Both are pretty scandalous for a queen.

>"Like, you aren't actually a g-" ...on second thought, that'd be silly.
Darnit, I want to actually ask it, but in a teasing manner.
>>
>>49235893
It was the two if them, and she couldn't decide. The Zelda series loves love triangles after all.

Anyway Zelda will end picking Link at the end, who will be about Zelda age thanks to time travel... and best Gerudo is our sister..

Din's Fire is, well, Din's Fire. It can be used as both a fireball version, and an AOE attack. The fireball can actually be directed and controlled, too.

Weren't we gonna ask the guy who sent us in this quest later? Since he seemed to know we were Zelda.
>>

>You'll get the chance.
I suppose, but I can't feel it will work as well later.
