You once again meet your team by the front gate to the Hidden Leaf Village. Hōōmaru-sensei tells you that your client will be along shortly. She was wrong, and your client arrives over an hour late, escorted by two baggage carriers. You recognize the client vaguely. He's a relative of Sakutai, a great-uncle or something. Jimmaru bows deeply to him when he arrives, and asks what he requested your team for. The salt-and-pepper haired Uchiha looks down at him with coal-black eyes, "I'm going to find my son."

No one really questions this, the older man's gaze at Jimmaru stiffing any more questioning about his motives. Traveling is a lot slower than you're used to, the client and his employees (you're not totally sure what they are to him, but they aren't fellow Uchiha) slowing your team down substantially. Normally a voyage to the Land of Waves takes less than a day, and you would have arrived sometime that night had you left when you were supposed to, and gone at your normal traveling speed; but because of your client's lateness and slowing you down, you have to stop at in inn within the borders of the Land of Fire. Unlike the last few times you've stayed in hotels and the like, Hōōmaru-sensei lets everyone pick their rooming arrangements, staying on her own.

Jimmaru says that you're allowed to pick who you want on your team, but you pass up the opportunity, saying that you'll let the girls choose who they want as their base. This was not a wise decision. Hakurin picks you first, taking your hand, but Momo pushes her away, saying she wants you for her team. Jimmaru facepalms as the girls start to fight each other over you. Momo is the first one to jump onto the surface of the water with waterwalking, followed by Hakurin. The Hyuuga girl tells the girl from the Hidden Sand that she should back off, this isn't worth getting hurt over. Momo rushes into your teammate, who activates her byakugan, and immediately strikes the tenketsu in Momo's stomach, blocking them off, and causing the younger girl to pass out. She hands Momo off to Jimmaru, and the girl wakes up, groggy when the water hits her face.

"There, looks like the teams are decided." Hakurin says, going back over to you. Momo says nothing, just indignantly gets on Jimmaru's shoulders. Hakurin gets on yours. The whole exchange was so fast and odd that you're a bit shell-shocked.
