We have a DM who is, other than the bit I'm about to mention, an alright DM.
However, he has never run a campaign that didn't feature a Wand of Wonder in the hands of some foe in the very first adventure.
Always cursed so once you have it, you must keep it and if you don't use it every so often (read: once per game session), it uses it's self at an inopportune moment.
Every damn campaign.
I'm fairly sure it's to amuse whatever randumb floozy one of the other (equally randumb and the DM's housemate) player insists on bringing to the table.

Does it stop if they meet that person and kill them? Do they dream of a new person? Is the person someone who deserves to die, or a future enemy? Because then it would be obnoxious, but potentially useful.

>PC can sheath TWO of any type of sword in their forearm, and not be hindered in their movement.
Handy
>PC can cast a random cantrip spell at will at DOUBLE strength.
Could also be handy.
>PC evaporates water when they touch it.
Handy unless that includes when it is drunk.
>PC's next temporary effect (other than the grog) becomes permanent (and cannot be removed).
If the previous effect includes drinking, I immediately have the nearest magic user cast whatever the opposite of "Thirst" is on me, or some such.

I am the magical Spongebob Wolverinepants.
