What would be a refreshing type of writefaggotry?
>>
>>51081160
Well we have for the most part stories involving Isaac being brought into the mass effect universe, along with markers and the like, one guy who's pastebin I forgot to add which is this one http://pastebin.com/v4znmHRi
which he has the Dead Space and Mass Effect Universe put together in the same continuity, we also have a JoJo Bizarre Adventure's crossover, along with a Doom crossover(I may have rushed remaking the thread without thinking the name through hard enough, my bad), but we haven't had a story where the Normandy and/or the assorted Mass Effect cast brought into the Dead Space Universe, yet. This thread also accepts other crossover stories as well, but again. I may have goofed on the title. But its up to you what you want to write, personally I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the Mass Effect crew being brought into the Dead Space universe myself.

Would you read about a Batman x Dead Space crossover?

>inb4 that's insane
>>
>>51084901
Sounds weird...but fuck it. Go nuts, we have an Isaac Clark in JoJo verse with the Marker as his stand, batman fighting necromorphs honestly wouldn't be that weird. Now that I think about it, this wouldn't be the first time he fought a undead enemy. The first he would have to get lethal for...and in much greater numbers. But it would be interesting to see.
>>
>>51084973
Idea, Batman himself doesn't fight many necromorphs, but partners with Isaac so that Isaac can take care of the necromorphs while Batman deals with all the EarthGov and Unitoligists pulling the strings from behind the curtains
>>
>>51084995
Hmmm, has potential, but all I can see is the dark knight getting shot like in the Killing Joke, and then getting shanked to death, those space stations are not that big, and there are far too many vents for batman to do much. Not to mention in the time it would take him to knock out the cultists by knockouts Isaac would already be ripper blade deep through half of them. But if you think you can make a way for Batman's don't murder policy without getting himself killed would be a treat to read.
>>
>>51085067
I'm thinking that Batman has a voidship that he uses to avoid most of the bedlam on the station and support Isaac when absolutely necessary
>>
>>51080741
Dead Effect or Mass Space?
>>
>>51085153
Uh...how would batman being on a ship out of any action keep him necessary, its like playing DS1 with a batman voiced commentator, on top of the people he was already surrounded himself with. And how would batman be able to help Isaac in any way that Isaac couldn't do himself? Not to mention Batman not just taking his ship, blowing a few holes in the station with no life signs, wait for Isaac to grab the few survivors and load them in a pod, then just drag them away to some livable planet, if not just back to earth. I know batman has a ship that can go lightspeed if he needed it to go to other galaxies, which would remove the tension of the story entirely.
>>51085181
Cute.
>>
>>51085181
Whatever you want man, write to your heart's content
>>
>>51085253
I figured that since Issac tends to have someone that leads him through wherever he is, batman could be that except, ya know, not betraying him in the end
>>
>>51085272
I suppose that would work, but it would still just end up like halfway through DS2 again, just without the betrayal and the giant fucking necromorph chase after. It would be boring, and since Batman is a gravely monotone at the best of times, you would need to be able to write him very well to keep interactions between the two interesting. Especially since they wont meet face to face till the very end.
>>
>>51085308
Alright, well instead of a guide, batman gets more of a Ellie type role in DS2, someone who clearly kicks ass on their own and makes their own way up until going it on his own clearly isn't going to help as much as sticking together will.
>>
>>51085342
I could maybe see this working, if Batman starts off after appearing when the Unitologists start sending everything to hell in a hand basket, with batman fighting them off until he starts running into necromorphs. Though batman is notorious for holding back to nonlethal unless he really needs to kill something. He's smart enough to know he has too, but the idea of him meeting Isaac after going through a few and just watching him mow them down without mercy, would be an interesting dynamic.
>>
>>51085428
I think that generally Batman wouldn't fight Necromorphs, since he can't disable them really, he would just run away and chase more valuable targets via his own ship
>>
>>51085731
Then he wouldn't really be a part of the story then. I mean there is a possibility of a Batman in Dead Space story here, but its pretty difficult with it being the God Damn Batman, being against killing living beings. He can kill the undead just fine, Dracula, and I think a few zombie things that didn't involve Solomon Grundy. It would just be...difficult for him to face off against so many necromorphs armed inappropriately as he would be, if he meets Isaac he would be a burden until he could get some equipment, but until that point he wouldn't/couldn't do much. And if he comes in before the Unitologists rampage, even if by ship which is also awkward for him to have, and he offered to help the security teams with his detective skills, he would just end up in a straight jacket for being a costumed freak, which wouldn't help him at all. Go ahead an try to write something out, and post it. Proper judgments could be made easier if some content could be examined.

stories involving Jack's inept quest for Isaac D.
>>
>>51084973
I'm the guy you originally replied to.

My idea is simple:
Isaac gets transported to Gotham along with a Marker.
The authorities arrest him and send him to Arkham.
Waller decides the marker seems useful so she takes it into a research facility on the underground of Gotham.

Cue Batman and Isaac vs NecroJoker, NecroBane, etc.
>>

My theory on that isn't so much physical mutation of the inorganic stasis module implant as the Marker's necromorph energizing wifi twisting the end result.

Also there's a Dead Space story going on in /qst/. A security officer on Heinlein Station finds a bloody body in the bathroom stall next to his, hijinks ensue.

So I just got the trilogy and started playing on 2 right now, gotta say EA tried to ruin my fun right at the start but it overall controls and feels better then 1.

Then I noticed the thing at the Unitology recruiting center, they talk on about unity without ever clarifying how they achieve this one mind, one soul business, and clearly unaware themselves. Ironically its actually quite simple, its literal, Convergence is literally to have your species united manually into a moon, with one mind, one soul, one purpose, as far as the moons or marker care there is no lie, just the building blocks misinterpreting their promise

if dead rising 4 didn't shit the bed with the ending and kill frank (assuming there isn't an overtime mode DLC planned)

I'd say frank would be on or close to being on issac's level.

> ordinary photojournalist
> survived up to 3 zombie outbreaks
> while fighting paramilitary groups, cultists, psychopaths, looters & the government
>also fought superheroes, supervillains, martial artists, mechs, lawyers, demons, cyborgs, metahumans & gods
> 52 years old (as of dead rising 4)
>>
>>51119559
Sounds about right, though I still don't understand how the hell he learned to make combo weapons. I have to say he fought more dangerous psychopaths and the like. The zombies are just a nuisance most of the time, and while he almost definitely has more zed kills than Isaac, that like trying to compare fighting off a hoard of slow puppies, even including the mutants that 4 has, to the pants shitting terrors that Isaac fights on a bi yearly basis.
>>
>>51119648
an ordinary slasher would be final boss material in dead rising
>>
>>51119648
That's true but Isaac does have better gear and technical knowledge to help with it.
>>
>>51119667
>>51119675
Yeah....the scale is the more discerning part of their series, though I wouldn't mind having an Isaac and Frank party, with Frank bunking with Isaac after falling in his world and they go on wacky adventures with Frank taking selfies while Isaac kills shit in regular brutally efficient fashion. With Frank having Isaac make absurd creations under Frank's vague instructions. Could either be dark funny or bright funny, depending on if Frank being in Isaac's universe spawns boss style psychos.
>>
>>51119648
>I still don't understand how the hell he learned to make combo weapons.

most if not all of the combo weapons in DR2 are basically 2 items ducttapped together

for the more complex looking ones he could've just watched chuck make them and learn from that
>>
>>51119805
I guess, I just shudder at the possibility of him having access to a "friendly"(?) space engineer, to make shit for him. What with DS3 being a thing an all, the weapons wont be that powerful when they are hand made, until some good ol fashion looting is done of course, to the regular weapons. So the dumb crazy shit they might try to come up together is...amazingly disturbing.

Dead Space 3's has a human boss Unitologist wearing some bizarre torture outfit that vaguely resembles the silhouette of a slasher Necromorph.

He traps you in some weird Marker hallucination un til you properly fend him off. I know I didn't hallucinate the guy but I can't seem to find him in the wiki nor remember his name.

I think it was in orbit around the Sovereign Colonies fleet graveyard.
>>
>>51121757
It was in the ship graveyard, and I don't think he had a name, you were probably thinking about the part where Isaac and other guy was trying to reach the bridge with the cowboy voice and traps everywhere.
>>
>>51121810

Most likely unintentional but it appears similar (in some respects) to the Arkham Knight's outfit from that game.

Why not do what the Flashpoint storyline did: a Batman who isn't Bruce Wayne.

Make the Bruce Wayne parallel be a big deal at the Concordance Extraction Corporation who uses his vigilante identity to stymie the Unitologist advances in his organization.

Maybe his actions are the reason the Inner Circle zealots go full supervillian with their Marker script outfits and end up taking such extreme means. Classic "Escalation" scenario.

Issac survived his encounters by using his intelligence, willpower and what he had on hand.

I honestly think he would do fairly well in dead space.
