I haven't seen one of these in a while so let's design a town /tg/.

To start off we got a small cabin by a river.

Add a bakery run by goblins.
>>
>>54037215
Farm+windmill below the cabin.
>>

Bridge over the river lies on the Nort of the Cabin. A road stretches from west to east over it.

There are several combination water and windmills along the river. The goblin population in town has brought a modicum of invention to this rustic locale.
>>
>>54037736

Blacksmith should be far from everyone else in case of fire.
>>

Horses need a corral. There should be a pier on the river for river traffic.

Army of bugs swarmed for a while over the town, but then they suddenly disappeared into the abyss.

Luckily, they didn't harm anyone except for the young liege, who was found with several stabbing wounds in the back. However, his damage was not fatal and he returned to protesting very soon.

In other news, The Lord heard our prayers and came to us! He appeared in the north-east corner and started observing his loyal followers. Morality in town is higher than ever!

>>
>>54049821
Okay, things in this town are getting out of hand and we, the people, need to simplify. The quantity of potential soon in this neighborhood is too damn high! First and foremost is the forgotten beast threatening the town.

I say we should send the Lord's warlock uncle to go parlay with the Witch. Either she can help shed some light on the forgotten beast and make it easier to kill, or she's up to no good and the Warlock will be able to see it better than anyone in town. Maybe the priest can appeal to God now that He's shown up, assuming he sticks around and stays tangible.

The Elves and their new resources, we can give them an ultimatum: if they help us stop the forgotten beast, we grant them sovereignty and rights to mineral deposits, providing they give us preferential treatment on first trade. They refuse and we use their towers to plug up that sinkhole while the protesters get what they want.

Also, we need an amphitheatre for the entertainer and any other acts that may come through town in the future to help keep morale high. Preferably one that can double as a proving ground for training and organizing the civilian militia.

Welp, we're all going to die but our souls are safe, I guess. Maybe that fancy church should pray up some paladins or crusaders to deal with that giant demonic presence on the church's FRONT LAWN.

Or maybe the cultists have been using all this time to summon up the Forgotten Beast's old Forgotten Girlfriend. Unspeakable monsters from beyond time need love too, maybe?
>>
>>54051342
>But if you'd like to see something changed, pick up mspain and go wild.
PC is busted rn, but I'm living where this is going so my interactions are limited to the role of "concerned outspoken citizen."

And the peasantry is more concerned with welfare of their bodies more than souls. That witch is the biggest threat to the farmer's souls at the moment, but their afterlife is safe due to the thriving cathedral. Assuming they can avoid getting eaten on the way to mass. So the peasants want to enlist the witch to help, and may or may not burn her at the stake later for being a witch, once their fields and churches are safe.

Awesome, that should curtail the Forgotten Beast's search for tail along with whatever the cultists are up to.

Y'know, those goblins have gone unmolested for quite a while. I imagine between the farm, windmill and bakery, they should be having a thriving little subculture by now, and probably used a bit of nearby lumber to expand the lake pier. Plus built a few mudhuts or a rudimentary temple of their own, not bad to have some cultural and religious diversity. The cultists have begin recruiting from the goblins to shore up their dwindling numbers.

Also, literally nothing has happened with the little cabin that started this whole town. Who lives there and what is their role in this so far?

As it turns out, zombies aren't the best dungeon theives, especially if there's a stone wall in the way. The necromancer goes to complain, as it turns out theres no law to prevent compeeting necromancers to paint instead of summoning skellies. Also the lord doesn't know where to buy skeletons legaly.

Pick the dank cush and throw it into the lava, the bugs can't infest anything if they're high as a kite.

Quentin said that he liked upper level room, so he asked to leave him there.

after a while of doing everything he could to get the door open, the paladin realised his mistake, it was locked, and he had no way to get in, so he returned back through the portal, gave the dwarves and elves the map, and immediately went to the cathedral.

>Being the bravest of them all, the paladin strode forward, his very being radiating resolve and bravery to walk into the portal. The 3 strong orcs and Quentin the water elemental followed into the swirling portal.
> Minutes became hours and suddenly, screaming and wailing, laughter echoing trough the the abyssal halls the lone paladin comes running, plate maile glowing red hot, alone.
>Climbing up the very shaft he then placed himself on the doorstep of the church, begging for forgiveness to whatever true power there is for salvation, though the men of the church beg him to come inside he is planted on its doorstep. Next to a broken man, a broken hammer.
>What the educated can try to make out from his mad rambles describe a dark, smoke filled hall of hate and evil, 3 figures, two familiar, one not in pure crystal carved out and that damnable portal of antediluvian evil.
>And the most disconcerting thing, His prayers for salvation to an alien being, the end and the terrible number that causes it...

>After some time, Young Liege has decided, that he should follow advice of Edmund and check the stone circle.
>Guards found Uncle Warlock there accompanied by other robed figures. Uncle flew immediately and guards chased him. Warlock ran to the Abyss and went right through the portal.
>When he appeared at the chthonic hall, he prayed out of desperation of being cornered. Guards saw black walls of Abyss reaching to Uncle in response to his pleading. Enclosed in the impenetrable blackness, he was slowly devoured by it.
>Shocked guards later told that it was almost like the Abyss was alive. Interrogated cultists that were accompanying Warlock confessed, that he was obsessed with Abyss for the last few days and planned to use it somehow in his lust for power.
>Something tells that Uncle Warlock will show himself sooner or later, but no one knows what to expect from him. Cultist weren't even sure if he will be the same person.

Nevertheless, Edmund was awarded with a huge sum of money. He spent part of this sum to upgrade his sand castle and the rest of it was buried behind his home.

Mistress of Abyss was asked about mysterious portal. She said that the whole purpose of Abyss was to seal a dangerous being of unknown origin. She doesn't know a lot about prisoner of Abyss, but she noted that his escape can mark the end of this world. Prisoner became one with the Abyss and the only thing that can set him free is destruction of seal on portal.

Jewel from entrance portal's keystone was dismantled and put into safe place in the cathedral. Lord's finest champion was chosen as a guardian of portal.

Meanwhile dwarves decided to strike the earth and build a fortress underneath the Hermit's Bay.
