Let's imagine Demonic entities, and the deals they make. I'll start:

Bezial, Lord of Whispers
>Split your tongue, and offer the spilt blood in a silver chalice to Bezial and you will forever hear his murmurs, informing you whenever your name is mentioned
>Offer to Bezial your uvula and he shall give your words venom; whispering the perfect retort to you whenever you should need
>Offer to Bezial your whole tongue, and you can hear the thoughts of others bubbling in their heads, and speak to them from afar

Abraxas, The Widening Maw
>Sever a finger, then roast it and eat it: offer to Abraxas the knuckles and you will never feel hunger again
>Offer to Abraxas the flesh torn from another man's throat and he shall give you teeth harder than iron, and let you smell fresh blood from afar
>Offer to Abraxas your own entrails, and he shall fill your gut with such toxin as to burn stone and turn metal to slag

Let's see what else I can think of, while waiting for me folks to roll in.

Marchosias, The Wild Marquis
>Feed your eldest child's blood to your hound, and you shall have an undying companion who follows your every command
>Offer to Marchosias your eldest child's gut, fed to your hound, and he will grow it long and sleek, able to slip between shadows and moving without leaving any trace
>Offer to Marchosias your eldest child's heart, fed to your hound, and he will grant it impenetrable hide; its breath will be fire; and its fangs will be long as daggers

I also have this much, but it feels lacking to me and not thematic enough.

Beezlebub, Lord of the Flies
>Betray your closest compatriot to their death, and Beelzebub will grant you sanctuary from sickness and blight

>swallow a handful of glowing coals and let Phenex feast on your pain, and he will grant your voice the magic of the bards for a month and a day
>offer Phenex the wings of a celestial upon the burning altar and he shall grant you wings of fire of your own
>offer your soul and Phenex shall raise you up from death in a column of flame, though he shall do this but once

>For two cupped handfuls of flayed flesh from its practitioner, it can ensure that a blade never goes dull.

>For enough blood that it would make the practitioner pass out, it can do medical treatments with skill beyond the current age. This does, however, leave the person open for Possession.

>It can extend the lifespan of others at a cost of them smelling like it. They will gain either double their remaining lifespan or an extra twenty-five years, whichever is lower.

Here's something I've never seen: Is it possible to make a pact with something benevolent instead of demonic? Can I make a pact with an angel? And if so, what would a pact like that be?
>>
IIsaom Fiery Eyed, lord of Fire and Knowledge
>Burn yor eyes with red hot steel and you will be granted truesight, knowing friend from foe, mage from peasant
>put eye of a raven and a wolf in your eyesockets and secure them hot wax and you will gain power of fire, commading it with your sight
>collect 27 grimoirs and body of your enemy and set fire to them. on this fire melt your weapons and armor, then pour molten steel on your head. You will be rewarded with unpenetrable mind and access to all of the arcane knowledge of IIsaom, much of it lost for humanity for ages
ib4 i know knowledge and fire is a weird combination but IIsaom of a character i use in my campaign, he was a powerfull mage and leader of an empire, held by fear of his power, he was also very commited to learning. When he was killed due to immence magic stored in his body he burned, leaving only an forever burning eye. Due to his power and bad deeds he did not pass to underworld and became a quasi-god

Wouldn't something benevolent offer charity, rather than requesting a price? Most angelic things seem above that anyway.

Ash'tag, Mad Devourer
>Rip your enemy's throat and eat it and Ash'tag will take intrest in you, you will feel your strengh increase
>Capture a woman you dont know, bind her in a circle, hanging upside down, then cut her, crotch to mouth and drink the dripping blood, you will be granted animals like senses and abilities, strengh, dexterity
>kill your child, wife, friend, someone you feel closest too, drink all their blood and eat all their body. You will gain otherworldly abilities, being able to vanish, see in the dark, turn into animal and survive moratl wounds.
>You have to kill some one and eat them at least once every 2 months, your powers will increase but if you fail to do itd, Ash'tag will hunt and devouer you.

Sicero Nokt, Whisperer of Death
>when someone tells you, they want to kill themselves do not discourage him or her, tell them how to do it and when they do carve Sicero's sigil with a blade on their forehead, you will be granted power to sense other people frame of mind and simple surfacing thoughts.
>talk someone who is law obiding and living a happy live into commiting suicide or commiting a crime that will result in death sentence. As before, you shall carve sigil in their forehead (may need sneaking to mortuary). You will gain powerred minds as easy as books and be able to persuade people better
>find a wife, then talk her into commiting suicide, carve a sigil in hers and your forehead and then hang yourself. You will lose your soul as a sacrifice to Death herself and be reanimated. Your life will be longer, you will be able to talk people into almost anything and shape their thoughts like a sculpture

He's like IIsaom a former human, he doveted himself to trade but after he lost everything, he used his charm and skill of persuasion to talk his enemies into suicide and crime, resulting in his wealth increasing and his oponents ending up dead or in jail, he lived his live like that and died of old age, then he talked his way out of underworld, he told death if she releases his soul, he with bring her countless more, since then, he makes pewople murder others and commit suicide

Pact with angles makes sense in a world where angels are interested in keeping a balance, or fighting evel but do not care about humans, world of Diablo is perfect example, angels are more lawful than good but they are not evil, Imperius (in my opinion lawful neutral asshole) is interested in keeping order, not in being good, for the sake of it but still, he's not evil

DnD has fey pacts, and the Archfey mentioned include beings like Titania and Oberon who are fairy monarchs. There's also the Prince of Fools who IIRC is generally benign (if not benevolent) but also capricious in the extreme.

Wayne Barlowe is a master at unsettling shit

I have a bunch of demons for a dark Classic Fantasy campaign I've been running, reminiscent of Dark Souls... coincidentally they even have the little titles after a comma like yours.

You can't make pacts with them though. That's beyond the scope of the campaign, and it's the end of the world, so they're not in the market for human servants.

Dalgatt, the Trespasser - massive cyclopean ogre-thing with frog legs and an elephantine skull for a head. Encountered clinging to a shadowy ceiling in an abandoned duke's thrown room. (party had it's true name and succeeded in killing it)

Viridia, the False Warmth - A slithering mound of membrane gel with decaying faces underneath; when the gel parts and the mouths open, a tongue shoots out, solidifying for a split second to form a spear, then retracting as quickly, tearing open the wound and causing bleed. Masquerades as an old woman sitting in the sewers, keeping a small group of suffering survivors around it alive but in return draining their souls. (party did not have it's true name, so only managed to drive it off after 10+ rounds of combat)

Khlonscard, the Baroque - Massive bird-like demon that soars over the infernal plains. It has a myriad of eyes all over it's body which fix the wandering souls far below with a paralyzing fear when caught in it's gaze. It then swoops down to clutch them in it's talons and rips them apart before feasting on the oozing black fluid that replaces all of a condemned souls bones, organs and blood. It's been captured and bound to guard a laboratory of a powerful mage that has hidden knowledge about the apocalyptic event ravaging the world. As part of it's binding, it is covered in a shell of perpetually molten bronze, which causes it extreme agony, but it can fling in wide arcs as deadly liquid projectiles that will cling to and scorch anything unlucky enough to be in it's path. (party have not encountered yet)

think of it like this, an angel could give out advice for free, but i doubt he'd give out the ability to summon a flaming blade without compensation in some way, such as worshiping The Lord for two hours a day, 1 upon waking, 1 before sleeping, or an offering of a golden chalice and bowl, filled with Eucharist.
>>
>>55197942
Read the last mythal trilogy. the main character makes a pact of sorts with a rankling denizen of the feywild. Speaking of

Ceannaire. The mocking duke
>Offer to him the last breath of a madman. Trapped in a bottle of emerald glass and you shall be spared the bite of grief and sorrow. you shall see the humour in such tragedy

>Mix the powdered bones of a good man slain unjustly with the sap of a wise oak and drink it on the night of the new moon and the duke shall grant you swift and safe passage through the woodland realms

>Through misunderstanding have a goodly priest slain by sylvan hands. Strangle he-who-holds-the-blade and speak the duke's name eleven times. Ceannaire shall grant you knowledge beyond the ken of man or elf.

Io: The Burning Wheel
>Break six hundred and sixty-six sinners upon the wheel of pain. Offer their slayed hides upon the alter of Abraham and Io will bestow a measure of his fearsome power upon you. From that day forth the unholy shall suffer pain and unease in your presance
>>
The Old, Wise Tree
not sentient, you choose how much you want to sacrifice but its easy to sacrifice too much
>sacrifice your eyes for wisdom of people behaviour (ex. you can more easily sense if someone is lying)
>sacrifice your tongue for telepathy and persuasion abilities
>sacrifice your ears for wolf-like sense of smell
>sacrifice your hand for strengh
>sacrifice your arm for wisdom of trade (ex, you sense if price of wares will go up or down)
>sacrifice your legs for increased learning ability and inteligence
>sacrifice skin of your face to be feared on the battlefield and have no fear yourself (you cut off your face, it heals but you look like burn victim and probably you will never find someone to love you)
>sacrifice skin on your back to gain iron-hard skin
>sacrifice your lungs to never need air to brathe
>sacrifice your stomach to never need drink or food
>(man) sacrifice your balls to become perfect lover (you will have no childrem obv)
>(woman) sacrifice your breasts to uterus for your eldest child to be wise and strong
>sacrifice your bum to never be tired, but sitting will feel like sitting on fire (yes, cut off your asscheeks)
>sacrifice your heart to live twice as long but you will feel no emotions

The trick is that the Tree feeds on human flesh and os surrounded by healing aura. When you are in that aura you hear whispers of what the tree offers you but also aura makes you suseptible for persuasion and it takes someone of iron hard will not to try and cut off everything on the spot. While the aura heals slightly it doesn't heal completely so if you cut off too much at once you will bleed out. If someone dies, the tree devouers them. With each sacrifice you make it's also harder to overcome the urge to sacrifice more at once, so its rare to someone to sacrifice 2,3 thing and still live

>Burn down all property you own, and your enemies will never be able to track you by any method.
>Cut all bonds with family, friends and allies and you may hide yourself perfectly, even on an empty plain with the eyes of an army upon you.

The forgotten one, lord over the horde.

>burn a set of cards that had been hidden under an altar of the church and he will grant you a spell for each card.
>sacrifice your husband and he will grant you powers wicked, sacrifice 5 husbands and he will grant you a life eternal.
>Sacrifice your wife and he shall grant you strength to defeat armies.
>play your instrument nonstop from 12 of the morning until 12 of the night and he will incite revelry the likes of which will attract men, demon and forces of nature alike.
>Take a canoe, the biggest you can find and feed it your will to see your loved ones for a night only you will fly in this canoe to the ones you love most. Drink and love as you please but touch the roof of a church or carry a symbol of holiness and you will not see the sunrise.

The influx of newfags
>>
>>55206022
I haven't been particularly present, but in browsing the catalog the past few days I have felt a disturbance of /v/ fags shitting up the board for some reason. They're doing an okay job, but it's difficult for them since they're mostly baiting with the wrong things since they come from a pretty large and easily trolled board/

Anyway, let's do some holy deals since I haven't seen them when I've been skimming the thread. I'll go back and read them some more later.

Altael, Sword of the Executioner
> Show the mercy of the blade to twelve suffering individuals in Altael's name and they will give you the ability to smell the guilty, with their sent being stronger the worse their action.
> Burn the tongues of 16 murderers and rub the ashes into your hands and Altael will give you the ability to heal any innocent's mortal wounds, up to three times in one day.
> Free the innocent from the punishment of the guilty, death, 27 times and Altael's favor will shine upon you. You will be able to instinctively tell when someone is lying. Your weapon will leave wounds that take twice the time to heal if the wounded is guilty and you are aware of it. If you place your hand upon a guilty individual who was killed for his crimes, you may ask him three questions, and only three, and then they will be silent.

The last one is a little lackluster but whatever. I'm not used to this stuff. Sorry for any typos or whatever, mobile.

Radiant Night Gambler

The dork lord wishes to recreate the world in his own image. Assist him in that and chance will be your closest friend.

>The top of your head is unholy. As long as you have been wearing an exceptionally classy hat each day for a month, games of chance will shift to your favor. Not all games will be won, but all odds will be improved. The Gambler determines the classiness of the hat. Long hair and a friar's bald spot will also work.

>In the Gambler's ideal world, the truth will always find a way. Give up your ability to hold your tongue when you hear a statement you know to be even partially incorrect, and the Gambler will grant you the ability to feel when people in a 10 foot radius of you cheat at a game of luck.

>Modern convenience leads to weak-hearted men. In exchange for your understanding of how to use a shower or any grooming toll invented in the last 200 years, the gambler will give you the ability to call the result of a single instance of pure chance once every 3 months.

You will be given the ability to step back in time through the gateway to stop/exact justice for crimes gone unpunished. All you need to do is grind the corpse of said criminal into dust and place it in the stone bowl.
>After laying 10 cases to rest in the above method you are given a sixth sense that allows you to talk to deceased victims. The gateway is also improved so that if you should die before exacting justice, you will be returned to your own time and be able to try again.
>When the total of cases you have put to rest total 100, you will be given deputy angelhood. This means you will be immortal (Not invulnerable), have flight via magically concealed wings, have a sword that harms the guilty but does nothing to the innocent, and be guaranteed a spot in heaven as long as you fulfill your duties. You will lose these powers if you stop exacting justice at least semi-regularly, or not following the old laws. If you are ever accused unjustly, you will have be assisted by an servant of Alakine who is a kickass lawyer

>this pact is not just offered to anybody. You don't search for mephiston, he finds you.

>Ruin follows on your wake, you will soon understand how much can be taken away by giving, how much can be ruined by trying to fix it.

> funny, since I sold my soul I don't feel any different, but I do have that new rash...

>>Now is stuck in a job at the local childcare.
This is truly hell.

Because he owns his soul, the demon now has to do whatever the farmer asks. Think of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, but with a demon.

The Gray Lady of the Crossroads
>At a crossroads, bury a compass made from an iron nail driven into your own fingertip, later severed, in a bowl of water no less than one part in four your own blood. From now until the end of your days, you will never lose your way.
>Offer her your memories. Your journeys will be shortened, albeit by strange and twisted paths. You will arrive refreshed. The more dear the memories you surrender, the greater the magnitude of this blessing.
>Give her your eyes, and you will be able to slip through the spaces between worlds at will. Give her your tongue, and her touch will keep you safe in your travels.

Cestree, Demon Saint of Idle Hours

>Roll 3d6, and if you get an 18, Cestree will bestow upon you a feeling of extreme contentment
>When starting a game of Magic, if you dislike your opening hand, symbolically offer up one card to Cestree, and then you may reshuffle your deck and draw a new opening hand minus the one card you offered up as sacrifice

>a pact with something benevolent
>something I've never seen

Really?
>>
>>55217011
That sounds even worse than making deals with demons.

You can't use the powers of good for your own personal gain, they leave you the very moment you try.
>>
>>55197427
You're god damn right I'd offer my uvula for that in a heartbeat.
>>
>>55226677
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that wasn't a pact between the entity, in this case God, and an individual. I couldn't place why but that difference seems significant.

It's called re-interpretation, everybody does it.

>Here's something I've never seen: Is it possible to make a pact with something benevolent instead of demonic?
It's possible, but in that case you're playing more of a Cleric than a Warlock.

An important aspect of being a Warlock is the sinking feeling that you done goofed.

Mneh, you're an adventurer, all the sentients who try to jump you in the woods are at least attempted murderers.

Trying for a more neutral one here

Sk'trie of the singing strands

> Welcome Sk'trie's people into your home, and whisper her praise every night and you will be protected from all noxious vermin and parasites.

> You will know that Sk'trie has begun to really notice you when her people have made webs in every part of your home. At this point make an offering in her name of a single drop of blood from one who has greatly harmed Sk'trie's people to every member of your household and you will gain the ability to speak with them and their gratitude. They will aid you however they can.

> If you stay true to her long enough she will send an emissary. Pledge your life to her service and she will reward you with the ability to see the strings of fate and to gently pluck them in order to gently manipulate the course of history.

I would make that pact. Being able to talk with cute spiderfolk is more than worth it.

Besides, most Biblical/Gnostic demonic entities are just names without any character already. They have to be given that.
