After a lonely life of hardship, desperation, or misunderstanding, something in your life breaks you. In this traumatic experience, you undergo a trigget event and develop superpowers.

>Use the link to roll for your power.
>Create a power based on the three aspects rolled.
>BONUS: Create a backstory for your hero/villian and the trigger event that gave them their powers.

>You rolled the Virgo sign! This results in a Trump-class power. Trumps have a power that interacts with other powers, such as granting, copying, or modifying powers.
>You also rolled the Thurisaz rune! This results in the flavor Thor, which gives a power that is straightforward, easy-to-understand, and offensive. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is solid fire
>Finally, you drew the reversed Four of Swords. This rank modifies your power so that your Control is decreased. This very pointed suit takes the rank's effect to an extreme, for better or worse.

>[OVERLOADER]
>By witnessing someone else use their powers, you can give that person a boost to their power at the cost of damaging them and yourself. Multiple doses over a span of a day can leave a target with migraines or body aches. Multiple doses in the span of an hour or minute can render a target in an immense ammount of damage, possibly fatal.

Aquarius
Perthro
Seven of Cups
A Fate/lifeforce thinker with good control/breadth but lower potency.
Lifeline can look at any living thing in front of him and see and understand his entire biology, allowing him to identify any issues they have and\or are going to develop in the future. His power does not require direct line of sight, allowing him to see living things through objects as well identifying capes outside of costume.
>>
>>61645683
This is surprisingly useful, thanks anon.
>>

If Overloader and Lifeline were on a team to just stare at people, what would their team name be?

No problem.

>You rolled the Virgo sign! This results in a Trump-class power. Trumps have a power that interacts with other powers, such as granting, copying, or modifying powers.

>You also rolled the Fehu rune! This results in the flavor Wealth, which gives a power that operates on some sort of fuel. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic water

>Finally, you drew the reversed Nine of Coins. This rank modifies your power so that your Versatility is increased but your Potency & Control are decreased. This suit rounds out your power, roll for a second sign/category and apply it along with the first.

>You rolled the Libra sign! This results in a Breaker-class power. Breakers have the ability to break certain rules of physics as they apply to the user, sometimes giving new powers while in the 'breaker' state.

Tidalwave
His power allows him to enter a short-lived breaker state in which he becomes a large, directed wave of ocean water, anyone caught in the wave is forced into the same breaker state as well but Tidalwave chooses the direction they head.
>>
>>61645921
That's neat and all, but what about the Trump and Wealth parts of it? Need some help with that?
>>
>>61645946
Fug, forgot about the wealth part, but the trump is supposed to be imbuing others with the breaker form, which can be beneficial to teammates and less so to enemies.
I guess maybe his breaker form is on a timer and every time he tags someone with his power he gets more time.
>>
>>61645683
>You rolled the Pisces sign! This results in a Changer-class power. Changers have the ability to change their body into other forms, like a shapeshifter, but often into only one specified form, such as living fog.

This is a pretty bad description for the Changer classification, not can changers usually have multiple forms or change their forms around, but a living fog is a textbook breaker.
>>
So I rolled this
>You rolled the Cancer sign! This results in a Tinker-class power. Tinkers have the ability to manipulate technology beyond the means of current science.

>You also rolled the Ehwaz rune! This results in the flavor Horse, which gives a power that is cooperative, but less in the sense of many people and more in the sense of just two (the user and someone or something else). Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic lifeforce

>Finally, you drew The Emperor - IV. While most powers promote chaos and destruction your power is a force for order. It protects, preserves, organizes, or the like.

What power will I get from the space whale?
>>
>>61645980
Sorry, I glossed over that. So he can turn others into ocean water once he makes physical contact. They can choose to break away at will?

You rolled the Scorpio sign! This results in a Stranger-class power. Strangers have powers with some sort of application to stealth or subterfuge, physically (such as darkness generation) or mentally (such as the inability to be perceived as a threat).

You also rolled the Thurisaz rune! This results in the flavor Thor, which gives a power that is straightforward, easy-to-understand, and offensive. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is solid fire

Finally, you drew The Sun - XIX. Your power's Potency, Versatility, and Control are all increased. You received a truly superb power.
What does it mean?
>>
>>61646091
Congrats you're on par with the Triumvirate.
>>
>>61646051
I imagine it goes like this: He chooses a direction to go in, goes into breaker state and a short timer starts, if he doesn't tag anyone before the timer ends he'll snap out of his breaker state, but if he does hit someone, the timer gets reset and he can choose a new direction for himself as well as a direction for whomever he hit. He can't choose to snap out of the breaker state at will, he has to wait out the timer, but as long as he's in breaker state he's pretty much invulnerable.

A stranger power that allows you to create solid constructs out of fire, these constructs will last as long as they're supplied with oxygen, these will spread fire to anything other than you. The fire spread by these constructs causes people to be wholly engrossed by them, unable to focus on anything else until the fire is put out, especially not you.

>You also rolled the Dagaz rune! This results in the flavor Day, which gives a power that works in short bursts of extreme power. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is solid air

>Finally, you drew the Ace of Wands. This rank modifies your power so that your choice of Potency, Versatility, or Control is increased. This suit is mystical, roll for a second rune/flavor and apply it along with the first.

Aquarius/Ansuz|Ansuz/Six of Wands
Six of Wands requires second rune/flavour, which happened to be another Ansux-rune.

> You rolled the Aquarius sign! This results in a Thinker-class power.
> Thinkers have Augmented minds, or sensory abilities beyond any reasonable human limit, such as x-ray vision.

> You also rolled the Ansuz rune!
> This results in the flavor Odin, which gives a power that tends toward abstractness.
> The power's workings are complex and not immediately obvious, both to others and to yourself.
> Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic mindforce

> Finally, you drew the Six of Wands.
> This rank modifies your power so that your Versatility is increased but your Control is decreased.
> This suit is mystical, roll for a second rune/flavor and apply it along with the first.

So ... some sort ultra-abstract and super-cryptic power (double Ansuz) that is poorly controlled but applies in most situations?

I've considered some sort of blind luck, but this doesn't seem to mesh well with Thinker-power, unless I'm missing something.

Well probably not that simple, and the elements don't have to be so literal. Lets break it down.

>Stranger
Cannot be perceived by others. Whether thats a physical change to yourself or a mental command made others should be determimed by the next aspect.

>Thurisaz/Thor
Straightforward, easy-to-understand, and offensive. Element, solid fire. So how you use your Stanger power is carried by the fact that its a simple-to-use attacking skill thats like solid fire, or its dense and it burns. I think its less infiltration and more "penetration".

>The Sun - XIX
The most versatile, potent, and easy to use modifier I've seen so far. With this, you may have some free reign to use your hard, hot penetration im whatever way you can think of.

Any ideas?
>>
>>61646283
Your power is like if Tattletale and Dinah had a crackbaby. You know how things will end with the slimest of context clues but have no clue when it will happen.

OR you cam assume how most things beneficial to you will develop as long as you effect it. Your hands are the Butterfly Effect and the world is a Hurricane at your own device.
>>
>>61646283
Let's see, a thinker with a very abstract and complex, versatile power. Since Ansuz can relate to mindforce let's decide that the power relates to minds, especially because you got it twice. Also, control is decreased.
First I'm thinking relating to minds plus lack of control = picking something up from multiple minds. Versatility allows him to pick a variety of things from the collective minds.
i'm thinking a thinker that can pick up on relationships and interactions between people through cryptic ghost images appearing around them. If it's just one person he won't really get much out of them, but the more people there are the more their images interact with each other according to their thoughts, memories and feelings and the clearer they are. The information he can get out of these images is hard to pick up, but with time and practice he gets more and more information out of less and less.

Rolled another one

You rolled the Libra sign! This results in a Breaker-class power. Breakers have the ability to break certain rules of physics as they apply to the user, sometimes giving new powers while in the 'breaker' state.

You also rolled the Jera rune! This results in the flavor Harvest, which gives a power that requires some kind of buildup before it can be used. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic earth

Finally, you drew the Three of Wands. This rank modifies your power so that your Versatility is increased. This suit is mystical, roll for a second rune/flavor and apply it along with the first.
"LandShark"
You also rolled the Ihwaz rune! This results in the flavor Yew, which gives a power that has effects last for a long time. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is ether mindforce
So I'm a Breaker who can become "Earth" and do all sorts of things with this. This includes swimming through land and can use it as an extension of my self with build up and mindforce.
>>
So I rolled and I got:
>You rolled the Virgo sign! This results in a Trump-class power. Trumps have a power that interacts with other powers, such as granting, copying, or modifying powers.

>You also rolled the Sowilo rune! This results in the flavor Sun, which gives a power that induces change in some fashion. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic fire

>Finally, you drew The Hierophant - V, Reversed. Your power makes you a desirable teammate. Perhaps you're a healer, a useful Trump, or just plain powerful, but you won't have trouble finding people who want to work with you ... whether you really want that or not.

>You also rolled the Isa rune! This results in the flavor Ice, which gives a power that reduces or nullifies change in some way. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is solid water
>Finally, you drew The High Priestess - II, Reversed. Your power acts on your behalf apart from your conscious direction. This can be an automatic response to circumstance or in response to mental or emotional states and can work for or against you dependent on the power.

[FIMBULVINTER]
Your screams, breath, or other vocalizations can banish away heat by speeding up the dispersal of energy via thermodynamics in it's area of effect, shunting away heat from whatever it touches. This effect is however dependent both on your emotional state and is always active; while calm and attempting to suppress it it's effective range is only a few inches in front of your mouth, but any kind of strong emotion, especially fear or anger, strips all control and extends the range and area of effect proportional to the intensity of that emotion combined with the vocalization. The upper limits of this are huge.
This is an Abaddon shard designed to impair and harm the progress of other Entities, and is directly inimical to the Cycle, as it speeds up the heat death of the universe by it's own activation. Or at least, that's how I interpret Abaddon's shards. I'd argue Butcher's shard is another.

>You rolled the Virgo sign! This results in a Trump-class power. Trumps have a power that interacts with other powers, such as granting, copying, or modifying powers.

>You also rolled the Berkano rune! This results in the flavor Birch, which gives a power that is continually active in some form or works on a cycle. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is liquid lifeforce

>Finally, you drew the reversed Page of Cups. This rank modifies your power so that your choice of Potency or Versatility is increased but your Control is decreased. This suit provides breadth and depth. You were molded to be more in sync with your power. This made you stronger, but at a personal cost.

I got some thoughts from this at least.
Nullification Blood: Anything my blood touches loses its power. Could apply to the entire body thanks to the reversed cups, or just specifically to my blood.
Power Vampire: Copy or steal the abilities of anyone whose blood I drink
Power Jesus: Randomly grant powers to anyone who drinks my blood.Could also amp the powers of anyone who drinks my blood.

You're the useful Trump that can boost powers with no downsides or change powers removing downsides.

Guess I should change Overloader's power to just damging powers instead of boosting and damging.
>>
>>61646475
So, you're able to give some kind of beneficial change to people. Perhaps something like giving people a slowed down perception of time, making them able to react quickly. Or giving poeple more precise control over their powers?

Regardless of the particulars you have the potential to become a very important/powerful player in the cape scene.

According to worm.wikia, blinding/gas clouds is on the table for Stranger (as well as disabling equipment).

So, I would suggest Firewall: creates a huge area of semi-real fire that blinds/dazzles people and destroys/disables equipment (but does not actually burn things), with the user either turning into this phantom fire or hiding within it.

>Flare
Your power allows you to imbue one person at a time with a sun themed twist to their power, so heat\light\flames\etc or more conceptual like clarity\blinding.

I'm thinking it could be some kind of very strange direct-interface Shard power. Perhaps something that can actively tweak Shards connections, but in an abstracted way that makes it difficult to understand exactly the kind of modifications you're doing without practice? I could see it being a trigger-depedent kind of qualifier. For example, if the trigger event involved lots of loud noise, maybe the shard-interfacing ability manifests as hearing each shard's connection as "music" and being able to tweak and orchestrate the different notes or parts of the song in order for it to work better with its user, or work worse? On the other hand, if the trigger event had something to do with computers, maybe they see the shard connection as a strange and difficult programming language?

With that Moon, it definitely means that despite the difficulty of use, it's a power with lots of potential and options.

So basically Power enhancing with a hint of QA influence?
>>
>>61646728
I think this can be a cool one.
This power allows you to take on aspects of other parahuman's power via touch and manifest them randomly somewhere in your body.

Skitter for example might give you a finger that deploys bugs that you can give rudimentary commands to, Grue might give you a black sac on your shoulder that can slowly ooze out his darkness, Tattletale might give you a new eye that highlights details that could lead you to a solution you need, Bitch could give you an umbilical cord you can connect to canines to slowly grow them, regent would give you antennae that can cause people to twitch when you twitch them.

Not only does this power make you a disgusting monster the more you use it, but over time these parts start to fail, forcing you to use the power more and more less something vital suddenly snaps and you die.
>>
>>61646797
I think power enhancing, but as more of a side effect. It's real use would be power interfacing and synthesis with it's user. It improves the power by virtue of making it more in tune with its user, or conversely, screwing up it's connection to its user. Something where it wouldn't be good at improving an already well-connected and well-used power, but would be great at helping improve problematic powers or ones that didn't connect quite right. The kind of thing where it wouldn't do much against say, Skitter, due to her power rewarding the fuck out of her and loving it, but it would work great for getting Leet's power to cooperate better and work with him.

Interfacing, like I said.

It's not that you control fate, the rune has the flavor fate, but it just gives you some amount on uncontrollable power.

You have a complex and hard to notice power that is ranged, is used offensively, and is hard to control, with decreased Potency/Virility/Control depending. You gotta get really creative with it but you could have something like... if someone tries to throw or shoot at you, the projectile will instead enter a pocket dimension where it will randomly shoot back another projectile. You can't control what projectiles do or don't count, when exactly the projectile is snatched up, or where exactly the projectile will fire besides generally being at the person who is firing at you. The order of in and out isn't necessarily linear as well. The pocket dimension is outside of time, so any projectile that you will ever or have every been targeted by could come out. Someone could throw a rock at you and instead be hit by a bullet shot at you 2 years in the future.

I had an idea up until I rolled the second Rune for my tarot card effect. Either way, what I had in mind.
>Capricorn for a movement ability
>Algiz for defensive
>Reversed King of Wands focusing on increased potency but decreased control and versatility
>Hagalaz involves hail and cumulative effects, no idea how to incorporate it
Maybe something about passively avoiding harmful attacks or stimuli by causing it to always miss or be avoided. Anything that attempts to bring harm will be moved away or will result in my body sort of always narrowly avoiding it. It lacks versatility in that it's good for nothing but avoiding harm and it lacks control in that it will always do it automatically.

Open to suggestions or new ideas that would help incorporate the second rune.
>>
>>61646927
Half of the point if getting to be creative with it. You're given some concepts and limitations, and then you make the meat of the power and thr backstory yourself.

You rolled the Gemini sign! This results in a Master-class power. Masters have control and possibly creation of minions, whether they be humans, bugs, or inanimate constructs.

You also rolled the Naudiz rune! This results in the flavor Necessity, which gives a power that has unpredictable effects which tend to adapt towards the current situation. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is ether fire

Finally, you drew the Seven of Wands. This rank modifies your power so that your Control is increased but your Potency is decreased. This suit is mystical, roll for a second rune/flavor and apply it along with the first.

You also rolled the Jera rune! This results in the flavor Harvest, which gives a power that requires some kind of buildup before it can be used. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic earth

I'm thinking a master that has to build his minions out of clay, no hard limit on how many he can make but they're not entirely under his command, they have an autonomous intelligence smart enough to understand language, basic strategy and situations but aren't actually capable of communication. They're loyal and generally obedient but won't follow commands to the letter if they think they can do something different to benefit\protect their master. If they think their master is in danger they'll blow themselves up as close as possible to the source of danger if they think it will save their master.

Holy shit
>>
>>61647009
A reactive mover, anytime you're in danger via something coming towards you, be it a projectile or a punch, your body reacts on its own by moving whatever body part is nearest in order to get out of the way, for example - a car is coming towards you, so your arm suddenly lifts you up and to the side, throwing you to the sidewalk.
Every time something like this happens, the body part in question gains a charge up to a limit of three. Using these charges allows you to push or pull yourself in any direction via the selected body part with much greater force.
Of course, if you jump too high or towards a wall or whatever, your power will react to the incoming obstacle and push you in the right way to mitigate any damage, further building up charge.

Simple. Touch someone, drain their strength or durability. Touch someone else, give them strength or durability. With three-of-swords I might be able to do more than just strength or durability- maybe more aspects like speed, healing factor, etc. Lack of a Master/Thinker/Trump prevents me from stealing/granting power, skills, or intelligence, but anything physically-based is fair game!

I figure it applies a kind of breaker-like effect to whatever I touch. The more I take, the shorter it lasts. But if I tap a fraction from a lot of things, it could last days or months.

With Three of Swords, I figure it'd also work on inanimate objects. Steal a door's durability, get tuff for a time, and punch through it now that it's as weak as paper.

Collapse a structure by draining all the durability out of support beams, weaken the heroes so my allies can take them down, etc. Alternatively, Pump myself up taking durability from a diamond or something, and then give that to squishier members of the team.

>Gemini, Master
>Inguz, long game plant based growing power
>The Empress - III, secondary power that enhances long games

Huh, might as well go literal.
So, Jane Appleton was once a normal human child. She loved gardening, as the act of nurturing a life from seed to fruiting plant filled her with pride. Her favorite place in the world was the old orchard her family had been running since coming over to America. Though her grandparents hand long since abandoned the farmhouse, she still spent her summers camping there, tending the apple trees and the family cemetery.
That is, until her grandparents passed away. Her family couldn't afford to keep land that they didn't really use. Despite Jane's protests, her parents had decided to sell the old orchard. That night she made the decision to drive out alone to say goodbye. That decision changed her life, as a deer leaped out in front of her car, causing her to loose control and end up flipped in a ditch.
As Jane lay there, pinned and unable to escape her father's car, her thoughts turned to the family cemetery in the orchard. Would she be buried there? Planted like a seed, to rot beneath the earth and feed trees that fed people? Despair filled her mind when she remembered that her family was abandoning the land. It wasn't fair, she had put so much work into it. As Jane slipped away from consciousness, all she wanted was to see the trees she loved one last time.
>>
>>61648015
And then she fell out of a tree. Confused and disoriented, it took her several moments to realize that she was sitting naked in cemetary she had been thinking of. Looking up, she noticed that the tree she had fallen out of wasn't one she recognized, and that she hadn't really fallen out of the tree, but rather from one of the large, fluid filled fruits hanging from its branches. Wiping that slimy sap from her face, she also noticed the headstone that the tree's roots had knocked over. It read, "Jane Alexandra Appleton, May 21 1992 - April 01 2008."
The sensation of drowning overwhelm her mind, followed by the sensation of falling again. However, the loud splash and the shock of landing again snapped her back to reality. She found herself looking down at herself, as well as up at herself. It was simply the beginning of a very disorienting couple of days.

She later discovered that her family had buried her before they had sold the land, and had retained the property of the cemetery itself. The had also planted the strange seed that they had found her body clutching, thinking that it was what she had been going to do that night. That was all three years ago, and since then, that seed had sprouted into a tree. That is her power, to grow trees that grow her. Each tree produces one or two fruiting bodies every other year after reaching maturity, and each fruit grows a cloned body of presumed deceased Jane Appleton. The bodies are linked in a hivemind, and the more of her exists at once, the more processing power she has to assess the world around her. Two heads are better than one, after all.

>Aries (Shaker) ~ Mannaz (Man) ~ The Sun - XIX
"This results in a Shaker-class power... a power that tends to work on humans, either the body or the mind... the element associated with this rune is liquid earth... You received a truly superb power."

>MINOS
>Focus on Liquid Earth, minor on Man
This power manifests a large field around the user, in which living beings are able to perceive and move within a fourth spatial dimension. As the borders of the field approach unaffected space, dimensional folding becomes increasingly complex as it reconciles itself to three dimensions, resulting in a perceptional maze with the power user in the center. Additionally, any shard within the maze will manifest visually, most often as symbols or figures above the brow of its host.

>RHADAMANTHUS
>Focus on Man, minor on Liquid Earth
This power manifests a large field around the user, locking anyone caught within the field into a dream-like state in which the surroundings are seemingly populated by constructs of the victim's unconscious mind, manipulated by the power user. Under this effect, the power user may project a disguise of appearances and feelings through which the victim will perceive them. Only the victim and power user witness an individual's set of hallucinations. All effects quickly wear off outside the Shaker's field.

>AEACUS
>Even split between Man and Liquid Earth
This power manifests a large field in which all sentient beings are transmuted into a humanoid, abstracted representation of their self-image and core beliefs. Guilts and glories alike are manifested, and individuals become greatly influenced by their desires and beliefs.
Weak and rudimentary representations of powers manifest in the powerless in accordance to the above. These effects terminate immediately outside of the power's area of effect.

This suit provides breadth and depth. You were molded to be more in sync with your power. This made you stronger, but at a personal cost.

So a Tinker who's specialized in something super narrow? How narrow is Uruz + decreased Versatility? One type of device? One model of device in that type? One single, specific device?

Maybe something along the lines of a tinker that's a completely normal person but has a weapon that's tricked out beyond belief.
>>
>>61645683
It could be one type of device, there were tinkers in the story with that kind of limitation if memory serves me right. Like your power only helps you create handguns, nothing else. Or personal shields.

The good thing is that you can increase your versatility and potency with the king of cups, and decrease the control over it. Can make for fun shenanigans.

VESSEL: I'm a changer who can shape shift extremely easily into other humans. The catch is I don't have much control over what I look like, and it requires concentration to maintain my form. If I break concentration I begin slowly changing my appearance randomly. I also no longer remember what I look like, and have lost most of my personal identity.
>>

ou rolled the Aries sign! This results in a Shaker-class power. Shakers have an ability that controls or alters the battlefield, such as darkness generation or fields of reversed gravity.

You also rolled the Hagalaz rune! This results in the flavor Hail, which gives a power that works from the culmination of many small factors, rather than one large one; a Hagalaz Master would form many weak minions instead of a single powerful one. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is ether water

Finally, you drew the Wheel of Fortune - X. Your power isn't the strongest but has a habit of coming through in a pinch, hinting at a hidden factor. Roll for your choice of either an extra sign or rune and use it to create the hidden feature.

I pretty much have a character like this already, so basically luck/fate manipulation over a wide area. Lots of little butterfly wings, less direct results, but things tend to work out in my benefit (even if it doesn't seem that way initially). But it doesn't look like it's necessarily strong so much as a buff/debuff type area.

On the upside, people trying to control my power are probably not getting what they want either.

Cool, tinkers are the best.

I don't remember Worm much, what were the laws regarding parahumans? If I remember correctly you were suppose to register to the government so they could keep track of you, and if your power wasn't strong enough they could leave you alone, right? Like that girl with the puppet balloons that was an independent faction. Weren't tinkers forced to work for the government? I remember there was a guy imprisoned by the government just because he was a tinker. So my question is, were tinkers meant to keep their mouth shut and remain hidden from the government if they didn't want to work for them? Please help me remember the laws of the city.

>You also rolled the Ansuz rune! This results in the flavor Odin, which gives a power that tends toward abstractness. >Finally, you drew the reversed Knight of Coins. This rank modifies your power so that your choice of Versatility or Control is increased but Potency is decreased. This suit rounds out your power, roll for a second sign/category and apply it along with the first.
Whatever I make is not as strong as anyone that specializes with that effect. The great versatility and control could make for plenty of "wew lad, what I made coincidentally is just what I needed!"

Told me to roll again so:
>You rolled the Pisces sign! This results in a Changer-class power. Changers have the ability to change their body into other forms, like a shapeshifter, but often into only one specified form, such as living fog.

Actually makes me wonder if people designing whole modern cities for fun is a thing.

Sure there are tons of people that do worldbuilding and design towns for their worlds, but as far as I've seen it's basically always fantasy towns for fantasy settings.

I really liked the idea of doing a campaign based on the warlord arcs which would need a pretty detailed city map so that each players territory can be exactly mapped out.
I know that the author of Worm actually did a mockup made of real cities satelite images to show what he imagined Brockton Bay looked like but it was a little too rough to be used for what I want, maybe it could be useful for you though.

>>61649708
>Someday the author will finish is TTRPG about his setting.
Weaver Dice already playable in it's current form, not that it's particularly good (honestly I really wouldn't recommend it unless it gets finished someday which would warrant taking a second look) but it's not terrible either, just alright with some shitty bits.

Though I really wouldn't mind a Weaver Dice 2nd edition made by actual professional game designers if Worm ever manages to become the next big thing and the author could afford to fund it.

The best part about a worm-campaign map is that the PCs can choose to become part of the recently finished PRT department in a city where parahuman gangs have gone out of control, or the PCs can choose to become a recently formed gang and attempt to fix the shithole of a city they live in(or destroy it).
>worm map
Yeah, I looked into it, its too rough, I mean I dunno if I'm asking too much for a sort of detailed city map, but I think since the entire game would take place in a singular city, it should be really fleshed out, and while I was looking into it, a modern city is pretty complex.

I have been thinking of buying City Skylines, or play some Sim City 4 for a while until I get a metropolis and then use it as reference for the game. But while playing videogames is fun and all, I think I will lose motivation along the way.

Not to mention then I have to ask myself what system am I going to use for it, Weaver Dice doesn't really convinces me.

So a Thinker power that offers freedom/breaks bonds but has limited control.

Makes me think of a power that can feed you information about how to escape from the current area at all times. You get a mental image on what the best escape route is and what alternatives there are to other exit.
For the decreased control and personal drawback I'd say that this power is on at all times and always nags you to escape from where you are, you have to deal with constant flashes of information running through your mind on how to escape even if you are just sitting at work or at an doctors appointment, you get impulsive thoughts of wanting to run away and can't sit still.
Lastly, for increased versitality the power also gives information on how to "open up" escape routes like "take that metal rod and hit that one guy over the head with it, opens up another route", of course this is dangerous combined with the drawback because it can give you thoughts like "If I threw this cup of coffee in my boss's face then I could more easily walk through that door over there."

>[ENT]

Brute/Tinker with considerable physical boosts who makes wearable and implantable support and defensive machines.

They do regeneration, force fields, a vast suite of resistances and adaptive defenses including mental ones, and additional minor-moderate physical augments on top of his brute powers.

Ent's modus operandi is outfitting himself to the max with his machines and serving as muscle and a tank. The majority parahumans just don't have the sheer destructive power to kill him. The biggest cracks in his defense are annihilation (Scion, Legend, Scrub, etc.), spacetime manipulation, and abstract powers, none of which he can shield against. Ridiculous raw force like sustained fire from Purity or Crawler or heavy weaponry will do him in also.

His machines cause considerable stress on his body, which he can only handle due to being a Brute. Non-parahumans who tried to use his machines would be unable to handle them without permanent damage or eventual death.

[TAG, YOU'RE IT]
This ability allows the user to touch a person to give them all of a single attribute they possess plus the ability [Tag, You're It]. The person tagged can then pass on the attributes gained, an attribute from themselves, and the ability to another person. The maximum tag chain is 5, a person can't be part of the chain more than once, and the only available attributes to pass on are Strength, Speed, and Intelligence. Tagging someone leaves you debilitated, as you'll either lack the strength to stand, lack the speed to move, or lack the intelligence to make a decision. The amount of attribute passed on is effected by the tagger's powers; a speedster could tag another to give someone else their speed, though the tagged person wouldn't gain any other abilities such as wind resistance.

You have
- The ability to manipulate technology beyond the limits of modern science (regardless of how versatile it is, it will always be more inclined to futuristic stuff)
- The power to induce change on the technology you're manipulating. (So you take something that already exists, and improve it)
- Whatever you manipulate, its potency is greatly increased but, your power isn't that versatile so there isn't much you can do with it ( I guess I can infer from this that you can only change a certain specific type of thing in a certain specific type of way, and you can't use your powers in any other situation or even environment)
- Plus, your power only works on the human body (or mind)

What I can get from you is that you improve things that currently exist, you don't add many new functionalities to it, you don't drastically change them, you just modify its effectiveness, and it has to be attached to the human body, it cannot work outside of the human body. So you can't take a sword and turn it into an unbreakable techno-sword, it has to be attached to the human body, maybe if you replace a human's hand with it, but that may be even be too versatile for you. So let's stick at the very minimum you can do.

So in short, I think you had the right idea, I guess you can improve mechanical limbs, you can modify some mechanical legs and make them run faster, mechanical arms become a lot stronger and resistant, shit like that.

You're definitely not a fighting cape unless you're crippled yourself and you have attached your own work into your body.

But you can perfectly be the guy behind a crippled society of humans with enhanced limbs. Or work for the government and make big bucks, since you improve things they are gonna love you, they will never, ever allow you to leave them.

You also rolled the Ihwaz rune! This results in the flavor Yew, which gives a power that has effects last for a long time. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is ether mindforce.

Well, I honestly don't know a whole lot about Worm so I don't really know how effective something like this might be. My best guess as to what all 3 of these combined might do is either make people's perception of time stop (which sounds like a stretch), or maybe just make them think they're freezing solid. Could be useful I guess.

Anybody got any better interpretations?

Yeah, it was all I could think of for The Empress. It's supposed to be very slow, subtle secondary power that can really turn a situation around, but only if you're smart about it. I'm sure that there could be something more appropriate, but sadly I'm not really cool enough to think it up. Maybe I'll git gud enough after some coffee. Whenever you or a person you are are aware of faces danger of any sort, you gain a small suite of powers that can solve that problem. The powers are somewhat random but they are always taliored towards your mindset on how to solve said problem (i.e. if you want to protect someone then you get defensive powers but if you need to defeat someone then the powers are offensive. However as soon as that problem is solved the powers gained begin to wane out until they are completely lost. This power is not infalliable so you can be ambushed/blindsided, possibly preventing you from reacting in time to use said power(s).

Hero Name: Wildcard
Real Name: Willard Cardinal
Willard was born an orphan as he was found in the back alley of the Our Light of Cardinal Glory church by an elderly janitor about to head off from shift. When the police came to process the boy, the janitor in his haste wrote his own first name in the child name spot and listed the Cardinal as both the child's last name and contact info. As they processed him they found no missing child reports nor anyone wanting to claim him. With social workers being overbooked and cutting corners with the red-tape, he was named Willard Cardinal and made a ward of the state.

So, multiple small effects based on touch involving subtlety, with better versatility and control but worse power.
Kinda like the idea of going with the example of time stop on touch, but it's incremental and isn't apparent to the target that they're being slowed down. From their perspective I'd just get faster with every touch until timestop happened. Though I guess it would be pretty obvious what was happening if it's not a 1v1.

As Willard grew older he had a hard time staying in foster homes. His delayed development along with his ADHD caused him to lash out an inopportune times along with several issues in academic studies. However he was an idiot savant when it came to adapting to new hardships and eking it out for himself. There were many times he was brought back home via police and the occasional low-tier super because he ran away from home, squatting in abandoned buildings and once in a derelict ex-villain's base. While some of his foster parents were only taking him/others for the money, others just didn't have the energy to put up with him so they just turned him back over to the state. This caused him to become resentful and bitter about the foster care process as he only saw people passing him off like a temp meal ticket.

Having enough of his rebellious behavior the state sent him to a boarding house operated by Haven, a Chistian charity/Hero organization. While pouting about going to a "Kool-aid Campus" the driver regaled him about the day he picked up a baby that was just like him. Told him that God had a plan for that boy because in the pouring rain and thrown into an alley would have killed any other newborn so somebody up there must be watching. Willard still being a petulant child crossed his arms ignoring the man while the other children were loaded up on the bus, stop by stop. This wouldn't last long as they were caught in traffic crossing a bridge because of the villain Choke, a shapeshifter with gas powers, escaping custody. While eyeing the back door for a chance to escape he noticed a black plume of smoke darting between the exaust fumes of the cars behind him. As he peered closer he could see a super flying towards them scanning the area. While the other children went to the window to gawk, Willard moved up to the bus driver and told him they have to move because the villain is moving their way, pointing to the abnormal gas cloud.

By witnessing any person using their powers in your line of vision, you can activate your power and leave a target with migraines or body aches depending on the power's mental or physical association. Rather than being protected by a single large force-field, you draw small objects around you into your "orbit" to automatically block blows for you. However, you grow very dizzy and have to sit down or lean against something while your power is in use. The larger the objects you force to orbit around you, the greater the nausea, the only upper limit being how much dizziness you can take before blacking out.

It might be that your power slowly taps into the powers of everyone near, assembling a 'new' power borrowed from everyone. Mixing and matching different powersets to work together. Got a fire thrower and a forcefield maker 'tapped'? Then you can either throw a forcefield at someone, or wreathe yourself in fire.

As for the Empress... After a long enough time tapping everyone, you slowly gain mild control and perception of their powers. You can see where the forcefield maker is, sensing them behind you even if you don't look back. And when the fire-thrower throws fire at you, you can just sliiightly mess with his aim a little, so the shot goes wide. The forcefield maker throws a bunch of forcefields up, but you make one of them have a slightly lower duration than the rest- slightly lower than he's used to, so he doesn't expect when you club him over the head.

Teleportation, Lasting Effects, Straightforward/Offensive, +Control, -Potency, -Versatility

Name... Undecided?
They can create lasting portals, they exist as long as they will them to. Unfortunately, they manifest by almost breaching into a Hellish plane of existence, waves of heat and the smell of brimstone radiate from them (slightly uncomfortably warm and an unpleasant smell).

When used offensively, the portals completely breach the barrier to this Hellscape, opening a fiery maw near them that pulses Hellfire. This is generally bad for someone's health.

Alternatively: You create 'cycles' of powerswaps. Tag two people, their powers swap once a week. Tag seven, their powers swap once a day.

And with the Four of Wands, maybe you can set up the cycle- either the order in which each person gets what power, or the speed at which the cycle changes.

In a combat situation with a trained team, you could have them all swap once every second, so they're suddenly uncontrollably using their own allies' powers instead of their own, confused and without an idea of what to do about it.

I’m thinking since I both control something, yet I represent freedom and I’m associated with air and beauty, I’d be some kind of fey spirit. Something like a pixie (maybe halfling sized) that has control over animals and woodland critters, and features large moth or butterfly-like wings. I could use the wings to mesermize or hypnotize foes, and my face would have an unnatural fey beauty. I’d be an ancient being from before the time of man, that has guarded a certain forest for millennia. Over the centuries I’ve grown bored of my isolation, but I don’t leave my woods until a massive forest fire wipes out my hometree. Escaping I come to find what humanity has been up to for all this time, and become fascinated with modern technology and contemporary human life. Seeing many humans now have powers much like my own, I decide to mimic these “superheroes” and help people. My focus is still to protect the world’s forests, but now in a very public way, hoping to teach mankind to respect the world around them while simultaneously enjoying the comforts of society.

So I touch the earth and my control sinks into it converting it and transforming it into star matter. With fine control I can sun spots on the earth, it starts off fairly tame though with only a heating and regular flame launching from the ground. But the longer I am in contact with the ground the more area I can convert into sun spots and the more intense it can become. At full power I can selectively turn the earth around me into the surface of the sun, with all the havoc that it would imply electromagnetically and otherwise... Due to the versatility and control boost it can be used to also just emit the electromagnetic or radioactive spectrum, or leave them absent. If ground contact is lost the conversion stops and cools quickly, needing full contact before it can begin building up again.

Thinker powers are already abstract, so what I'm getting is that this might be less of a "active" power like what Tattletale has when she uses her power, and more like Jack Slash where it's just a background thing that's always going on.

Control is a safer thing to drop for a thinker power, so power or versatility are what I should pick to boost. I was originally leaning towards going Versatility, but thinking on it weak thinker power is generally not useful all that much, Uber and Viktor are the key examples of always useful but never great thinker powers and they pretty much got steamrolled in their limited appearances so I'm going to have to pick Power and hope limited versatility just means I'm specialized and not niche, the card says extreme so I'm probably gonna have to find one thing my power lets me exploit and stick to doing just that.

>You also rolled the Ihwaz rune! This results in the flavor Yew, which gives a power that has effects last for a long time. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is ether mindforce

key words: Long range, Offensive, Physical/'breaking of bonds', long lasting, reduced versatility.

If offensive wasn't there my first instinct would be a warp gate type power.

"offensive" leads me to something like a Disintegration power (literally 'breaking bonds')

The above combined with 'lowered versatility' leads me to the unfortunate power-set of an always on, long ranging disintegration field

P.S. Doubly unfortunate, the Ihwaz rune would cause the effect to persist long past the point I died. Slowly destroying whatever astrological body I was left to rot on.

Workshop.
A promising engineer from a young age, after the accidental death of his fiancee he threw himself into his work as a coping mechanism. He blames super heroes in general for her death, as several others were saved from the event and she was the only casualty. He worked for three days straight without sleep trying to build a suit of power armor to become a hero himself. He passed out after completing a basic frame, the stress and eventual collapse awakening his true power.

When he came to the next day, his suit had been equipped with an assortment of advanced weaponry he had no memory of creating. While examining the various devices, he found himself unconsciously modifying and upgrading them. He quickly discovered that as long as he had access to materials, he would uncontrollably build and repair advanced weapons. Even when he slept, his body would move on it's own to find supplies and keep building.

Rather than become a hero, however, he saw his weapons as a way to get revenge. He took quickly to a life of crime to support his projects and to draw super heroes to him. His devices sold very well on the black market, and he soon became a chief supplier for several criminal organizations. He now spends most of his time on his inventions, but he is constantly improving his original armor.

Alright, so excuse me if I don't know very well what I'm doing. But judging by those rolls, considering a body/mind affecting and offensive, easy to understand trump power... let's go with the old "drain other's powers temporarily, gaining the ability to use them in the meanwhile".

Not sure about how worm powers work.
>>
>>61682401
I don't think you're reading it right.

You gain either super strength, super defense, or super endurance.
Your power is focused on offensive, and requires something out of you, so Super Endurance and Super Defense are discarded. Also whenever you use your power something bad will happen to your body.
Finally, your Super Strength is super high, you probably insta-kill people with it, your super strength is very versatile but, you don't have much control about how much you put and how to properly apply your power in different situations. Then, you have your power's strength improved even further, but yet at another personal cost.

So everytime you use your power you insta-win but then you fall unconscious basically. Isn't that like the Boku no Hero Academia protagonist? I never watched that show but I heard he could use his powers and immediately after he would have all his bones broken by it. That would be you.
>>
>>61682496
Yeah I see it now. I'm unstoppable while using my power but then I'm knocked unconscious immediately after a while.
Also on the part about reduced control, I thought it was more about losing control of the mind while using the power, which has been done a lot in some media.
>>
>>61682471
Sounds like you have the ability to jump into one body of water (ending up in a transitory dimension, something like pic related without the trees) and out the other, with a bonus that if something effects you, you just disintegrate into water, and end up in the puddleverse instantly- your mover power making you avoid any changes to your physical state.

Or something. Maybe you slowly restore yourself to your normal state while you're in the puddleverse between dimensions?

Oh, and people can see echoes of you in every water source you can access from your location in the puddleverse. If you're looking out into these puddles, they see a dark shadow looming in the water's reflection. World's best assassin- stab up out of someone's toilet while they're using it. That's terrifying.

>>61682496
In BnH the protagonist is just so strong he breaks his own bones when he attacks.

>>61682650

Tactile telekinesis. You touch something, it smashes the shit out of it or grinds it up- something outright destructive to anything that gets close to you. It's powerful (You can punch something to the moon, with a powerful GO AWAY field) and versatile (Grind the ground as you slide around on it, the rolling rocks caught in the field under your feet pushing you forward, or carve handholds out of a wall just by disintegrating things as you push your hands into it while climbing) but it's low on control. Like, maybe it activates itself when you're upset or scared. Or alternatively, it fucks with your mind.
>>
>>61682708
And I forgot the picture, whoops. Might as well roll again:

>You rolled the Virgo sign! This results in a Trump-class power. Trumps have a power that interacts with other powers, such as granting, copying, or modifying powers.

>You also rolled the Sowilo rune! This results in the flavor Sun, which gives a power that induces change in some fashion. Optionally, if your power requires an element in order to manifest, the element associated with this rune is mystic fire

>Finally, you drew The Sun - XIX, Reversed. Your power's Potency and Control are increased.

So, I can change people's powers for a time. With medium versatility, but high potency and control, it sounds like I can't change someone's powers completely, but I can change some aspect for a while. If someone's power is keyed off metal, I could probably change it to rock or plastic or something, but not to a completely different state of matter. Or if someone has a tinker power, I could change their specialty, but not change it to a different power completely.
>>
>>61682650

The fukhart generator is shit if you want a proper power. for that you need to start with a trigger and then work your way from there.

Trigger: Riding along with your motorbike gang, you find your gaze wandering in a dull boredom, hardly thinking as you all gentle turned around a lane at nearly 70 miles an hour, you let loose on the throttle in an impromptu race with one of your friends, gaining the early lead on the straight and coming around the bend meters before your friend, he was almost directly behind you and to the left, too close if you made to move in another direction.
But as you turn you find a deer bounding across the road about to collide with your bike. acting without thought, you bank to the right sharply, knocking your friends bike and sending them toppling, and it may have not been so bad if it was only him, maybe what happened next could have been avoided. As the deer bounded off intothe wilderness the rest of the group came around the bend, colliding with the fallen bike and sending a domino effect over the group, road rash, broken teeth, damaged and destroyed bikes, broken bones.......All except for you. "Couldn't stand to loose a race, could you? Had to cheat, didn't you?"
The truth was met with mockery and scorn, shunned and reviled by your closest friends until even having smashed into the deer would have been less painful......Just as you check your phone another insulting text makes itself known and in that moment you trigger.

Power:Breakermastercombo

But when metal or concrete that can be torn away without other stronger materials holding it down come within two meters of him it is dragged into a spinning votex that is then molded into a golem like figure that responds to verbal commands. he may speak in a breaker state. He may not leave the breaker state untill at least one golem has been completed.

So why is everyone complaining about the generator?

Seems pretty standard to me, only thing I don't like is how it encourages powers that only fit into one category while the most interesting powers were those that fit into multiple ones but other than that it's just like any other power generator.

Or is it all just Wormfag samefagging, meaning he's finally back?
>>
>>61684622
I admit i have not read most of the thread, but as i stated here >>61684220

The problem with the gen is it starts with the power first. and the rules and guidelines drawn up to show how things trigger are very specific, so going power first is like trying to reverse a car through a maze without scratching the paint work.

that and the point about fitting into one catagory, nearly no power only fits into one.
>>
>>61684747
Yeah ok that does make sense, though I don't agree 100% and do think it is possible to write a good trigger even after you have made a power it is counterintuitive and way harder to do than the proper way around.

I guess this generator still could be useful though if you need a bunch of powers that you don't need trigger events for like for NPCs or Cauldron capes, as long as you are ok with them mostly being of only one category each I mean.
>>
>>61684622
I agree with the other anon that replied to you, I made a post earlier in the thread with the same intention as him. I also agree with you, its good that this generator tries to push us to come up with powers ourselves, much like Worm, but the trigger is important to me and as you said, the best powers were those with multiple categories not the simple powers like this generator tends to craft.

I'm 100% sure all the people complaining about this generator without giving a reason are shitposting tho, for some reason Worm always attract people to hate on it for no reason, same as with Warhammer Fantasy.

I would say, a villain named Grave-digger. He can manipulate solid materials like earth or concrete as if they were liquid and then turn them solid again. Flowing through floors and walls, dropping people in a hole and filling it around them, creating an orb of twisting concrete around himself, ... That kind of thing, but always very short range so he has to be close to people.

As backstory you could have someone who was buried alive by a cape-battle.

Okay, what the fuck am I supposed to do with this. An earthy, solid power that grows in strength as a period of time progresses that must be both brute in nature but also pertain to sensory or computory senses.
Fuck it superior tremorsense operated by causing actual earth quakes. As the reverberations grow so does the the range and quality of vision. The deeper in the earth the stronger the quake. Also comes with the durability to survive the heavy shit but not the strength in case he gets buried.

A Swiss born, mandarin translator, he worked freelance negotiating various deals in china. His powers triggered after being trapped under the rubble of a steel warehouse after the Yinjiang earthquake causing 6 of the additional aftershocks as the stress of starvation racked him until the mountain of steel shook off of him. >[Natural Selection]
You have the ability to create multivariate nanoparticles that can imprint upon an object, copying it's qualities while being able to change form based on the will of it's user. However these particles do follow a pattern in which they need to bond to the opposing type of what they imprinted on. For example; if the nanoparticle imprinted on an inorganic compound (metal, salts, etc) then it could only bond with an organic compound (living cells, plants, viruses). This allows the bonded items to hybridize and utilize the qualities of what was imprinted along with the natural functions of the bonded object unless changed via the nanoparticle changing it's shape. This could allow someone to have a titanium sheathe to the skin along with serrated claws, or a virus that infects/replaces the victims cells with sodium chloride which would effectively cause them to dissolve into a pillar of salt.

The idea is him being a Rogue who was originally a chemist who was on the verge of a breakthrough in hybrid theory organics but he couldn't find the final bridge to connect them.

Still parsing through this one. Essentially, my power allows me to defy physics on myself and be unbounded by realistic limits. The Suit adds some complexity. Can i alter the favored trait at will or is that an initial limit? It sounds, via the breadth/depth, that whatever i choose they'll be some overlap in ability, but the more in sync at cost facet is also an interesting condition. It sounds like the more effective i make myself, the worse my penalty or condition becomes.

>[Contingency]
Roscoe Daniel always had too much time.
A listless and passionless kid from his first years, his parents' bickering and his friends' status jockeying took him out of high school and to working odd jobs late at night to make ends meet.
Ends met for twenty years. When he noticed it, Roscoe was forty years old and with a beer belly, a comb-over and a creepy beard, working late-night shifts at so many video stores and fast-food restaurants he forgot which was which. He had no degrees, no real references and no experience outside of goon work, and this was all that was keeping him afloat - enrolling even in community college would have him starving, and on top of that the meth he was using to improve on his work times was starting to drive him even more around the bend.

And one day, Roscoe lost it. After three days straight awake on meth, cigarettes and coffee, he started hallucinating that a lot of this was just his own imagination running on loop, replaying this eternal grind even when he was sleeping. Nothing of this had really happened - it was just a huge drug nightmare combined with figments of a normal job slowly collapsing.

It seemed to be just a dream when he woke up.

Except that he was grabbed by the collar and shaken by a McDonald's employee who wanted to know how the fuck he got into the break room.
And it was a McDonald's he'd worked at two years before.
And, looking himself in the mirror, he seemed a few years sprightlier.

Roscoe's power allows him to move to places he's been in the past, by retracing his history until the desired point and winding back his physical age. He can never go forwards in time, as the places he will go aren't decided and he can't manipulate fate.
He finds himself in the place with what he was carrying and wearing at the time, but is still in the current day and age, and will experience pointed questions.
There's no limit to the amount of time he can go back in one fell swoop, but as he can't go forwards in time, he has to be careful with overusing it or going back to places he's been too far in the past.
He doesn't know if he can teleport himself to such a long-ago state that he dies, is reborn or becomes a normal child, but he's accidentally teleported himself back to high school once and is still in the process of growing back his beard.
The power will teleport him to the closest accessible space within arm's reach of the exact point he wanted to go back to. He doesn't know what has happened to the place in the meantime unless he goes to look it up, but this means that he could teleport into a bank vault if he remembers that it used to be where the new employee toilet is now.
He'll be compensatorily younger, though, which jams ID a lot (he's been skipping minutes back in the past to evade the cops), and while he's not sure if it can change his mind yet, it definitely can change his physical strength.
And the catch is that each teleport has a one-percent tax - going back in time a hundred days de-ages him a hundred and one days.
>>
>>61694656
I of course bungled the example.
If he's been in the employee toilet before, he can teleport himself to where it used to be, even if the vault is there now.

I only know Worms from the CYOA and I'm not sure I get shaker so I'm not sure. Also not sure how Gebo works.

I guess Char can alter the dynamics of fluid systems in a bubble area around the self. Particularly potent with literal water and air due to mental limitations, though this could theoretically involve any common materials and even EM radiation with more control.

A tempest around Char can start of as a strong wind. High energy diffusion within the bubble area of the tempest can be partly "absorbed" and redirected into the rage of the storm. The storm can't strongly be pinpoint directed but the eye can be moved, hopefully with Char and allies with it.

Not much use against kung-fu chops, but anyone using explosive powers of blast rays will quickly end up with unearthly fast hurricanes.

Trigger: Char grew up in a severely angry and abusive home. During a family beach trip when Char's father started screaming and hitting his mother again Char finally snapped and started fighting his father while they were in the water. The ensuing fight ended up with them both going under and getting caught up by a tide, but when the coast guard finally rescued him he found out his father had drowned.

[[INVISIBLE MAN]]
Born into a family with rigorous expectations and uptight restrictions, Barnabus wanted nothing more than to fade from existence.
And so he did.

His power manifests itself by cloaking him completely from the memory of others. They cannot perceive him, detect him, acknowledge his effect on the world. He is not undetectable, simply indescribable, and memories of him fade even as they form. He is an anti-meme, a thought, concept, or creature that CANNOT be spread. His very presence is anathema to the mind's understanding of reality. In other words, he is a walking blind spot. He is the Invisible Man.

Okay, took some time to work this out
Capable of creating ice constructs that are able to follow simple orders
The ice, while requiring a water source to be created, can withstand temperatures and impacts several magnitudes above what ice should be able to withstand
Once a construct is created, the ice mimics the behavior of whatever material it's meant to be imitating, while retaining it's durability (for example, if i were to create a knight-like construct, the ice would mimic the behavior of plate, chainmail, and cloth elements of it's armor, while still being ice)
I know literally nothing about the universe aside from what i've picked up in this thread (and i kinda skimmed that, desu), so what would be a trigger or shard or whatever for this?

Your power is molecularly-based. You touch something with your striker power, and slightly changes its properties. With enough time and focus, you can push a bunch of paper together and mould it into carbon nanotubes, or something. Draw a line on a wall, and break the molecular bonds, cutting a line through it. That kind of thing. Very versatile, very controlled, but not very potent- you need to spend a while on something to get it to change.

He gradually began learning how to control it, even turning it "off" if he focused at it. However, when he sleeps he cannot stop SUCCing. The big twist here is that he was an ancient astronaut from some pre-civilization super civilization. Turns out when he died the black hole zipped into the nearest brain and it does this every time. The aztecs knew about it (mass saccrifice was meant to root out the black hole and ensure it resided in a priests brain). Eventually some pleb conquistador got it and brought it to spain, eventually the some secret society was created once they kinda figured out what was going on. The story starts when the black-hole transfer ceremony goes wrong in 2018 and it ends up in some Peter Parker dork instead of the trained Illuminati aspirant. After thinking he's been given acid by the school bullies he probably goes home and accidentally SUCCs his aunt and uncle's memories giving Alzheimers. Now his hero's journey can begin.
