Greetings, fellow Aeldari. We gather here today to meditate upon our own great Craftworld, our Origins, and our very People, so that we do not forget, and so that we may gain insight and guidance towards our future, in this Time of Ending.

Now, we know of our origins from before the time of the Fall, but for how long have we been known by the Galaxy at large?
(roll 1d10 to find the date of the first recorded interaction between the Imperium of Man and this Craftworld)

Twas late, in the scheme of things, when we first became known to the Mon-Keigh, for we had taken great pains to remain hidden for many millennia. Truly only some great crisis, or ill luck, would drive us to become active players on the Galactic Stage. But had we a choice? Had we any other option, but to defend our beautiful Home?

Speaking of which...what do we remember most about our Craftworld?

Our most seen unit is, ironically, the humble Ranger. While this may seem counter-intuitive to our Shock and Awe strategy, their prominence makes logical sense if you think about it. For while we may Annihilate the foes that we can see easily enough, it makes only sense that the ones we cannot are the greatest threat to our Warhosts. Thus, the ranger is employed in a sort of proactive counter-insurgency role, seeking out those who would use their cunning, however pitiful it may be, to destroy us. Ambushing the ambushers. Hunting the hunters.
And we have many such rangers on hand, for many who chose to walk the way of the Outcast choose only to wander the vast jungles of our Craftworld.

However, they are not the only Warriors that we can bring to bear...

The Tyranids. A veritable manifestation of mindless hunger and base, unthinking animal brutality. What more fitting opponent than one that represents everything that we seek to eradicate from the galaxy? It was one such splinter of this stellar cancer that once threatened to engulf our very home. Swarm of their ships overwhelmed our fleets and set foot upon this very craft world. From the outset all seemed lost, but then this brave hero stepped forth, directing our firepower with ruthless efficiency, drawing the attention of the aliens Tyrant leader. Without a second thought, the Hero strode forth, mindless of the danger, and challenged the beast head on. For a full day they fought, till exhaustion began to bring the fight to a close. It almost looked like the Autarch would fall, but a last surge of strength brought victory to the Craftworld and death to the Hive Tyrant. With the beasts death the splinter fleet was swiftly crushed by our guns, and the last few stragglers were hunted down in short order by the Rangers and Scorpions.
After such a battle, we became cautious of the galaxy, choosing to instead direct """allies""" to deal with the more risky threats for us. And who were they?

Whats more, our most grievous foes are none other than our dark brothers (from a different Kabal than the ones we associate with of course). Their Infamy to us stems from a most cruel act, the heist of over 200 Soul Stones, freshly taken from a costly expedition to the crone worlds. This...unforgivable act has enraged our people to no end, we will drop whatever we are doing at the moment to find and slay members of this Kabal when they make themselves know, but the cunning filth has stayed to the shadows since, hiding behind their own pawn and more powerful friends alike. To what end, I wonder. Do they think that we will forget this injustice with time? Do they not know that the shadows are no hiding place from us, who have learned to stalk through the jungle ever since we could walk?! Do they think that they are safe in that shithole in the Webway?!!?!?!

Well They Are WONG!

Even now are best are moving across the Galaxy, searching for any sign of this band of renegades. And when we find them, we will have our Retribution.

...while we are at it lets roll for his/her attributes. One roll per anon plz, so that we can all have fun.

2)What Aspect path did our Autarch become most proficient in prior to taking up the Path of Command? (roll 1d10 on the Aspect warrior chart)

3)Now our Autarch is a proven formidable warrior (singlehandedly beating a Hive Tyrant is no small feat) but do they prefer the thrill of close quarters combat (1), a long range approach (2), or a mixture of the two (3)? Roll a 1d3 to determine.
What would this Hero kit themselves out with to fight in this style?

4)Does our Autarch prefer to command on the ground or from the bridge of a flagship? (open to debate)

The Craftworld of Nag'Ryh is kept at an arms length by many of the Craftworlds for their close relationship to the Kabal of *****. This alliance dates back well before the rise of Vect and continues to this day.

The origins of the pact is murky and to outsiders and the Eldar of both will not divulge any information.

Rumors abound of what it could be: that the Drukhari aided the Craftworld long ago, the Craftworld gifts the Kabal in slaves and resources. None are sure
>>
>>62697059
While all of the Eldar Pantheon is worshipped and respected among the citizenry of Nag'Ryh, Craftworlders and Rangers that pass are startled by the fact that their are shrines to the Muses of Commoragh. Obviously a byproduct of the pact with the Drukhari, many fear of what this could mean for Nag'Ryh.

The jungles of Nag'Ryh are filled with cloying mists and fog making travel and fighting within them a perilous task fro the uninitiated.

Hey guys thanks a bunch for keeping this thread bumped. I wanted to be able to be here sooner but work dragged on far longer than I thought, and due to the late hour I may only have time for one post, so I'll try and make this a good one.
One thing that has been nagging me during work today is the apparent disconnect with a few of our rolls, namely our "shock and awe" tactics vs our focus on Rangers and SS. Now we have already, mostly, smoothed over this disconnect with saying that all of our ordinance comes from our array of vehicles, and the R&SS are for those special little grease stains that just wont go away, but it got me thinking:
If their was ONE thing that you would change about what has been established about the Eldar of Driag Nahl, what would it be?

Keep in mind I dont intend on implementing any changes per say, I just want a few opinions about what you think the weakest bit of fluff is so far.

Going off on the PA/Wraith concept, I think it wouldn't be out there if the Crab things were a Wraith constructed to house SS who fell in battle. They are built for terror ops and shock warfare, to inflict immense physical/psychological damage to the enemy. Their main weapons are a pair of oversized Scorpion Claws with attached Shuriken Pistols/Cannon/Monofilament Net launchers and all manner of gear. They're bigger than Termies but impossibly stealthy.

Mix pic related with a Wraith head for the last thing you'll ever see.

"Driag Nahl? That's a name I haven't heard of in a long time. What do you want to know about those Khaine tainted madmen? There is no good to come of dealing with them, they are too deep in their dealings with our Dark Kin of the Sleepless City. And now they have that issue with the Swarm. I have heard that they have recently been aiding Iyanden in fending them off and have joined the Ynnarites, along with their Druhkari allies."
>>
>>62701724
Yea, this is true. Perhaps somebody could make a new roll thread? Or maybe some anon already has a Kabal rolled up and would be so kind as to let us use it in our story?

Speaking of outlines, one might be beneficial to anons looking through the thread.

So far we have determined:
-That our craftworld, tentatively named Driag-Nahl, has been out of the general affairs of the galaxy right up until sometime in M38, possibly has been in hiding
-the craftworld is mostly jungle, possibly a really weird one.
-the most popular path that eldar on the craftworld would take was that of the Artisan.
-it has an average Eldar military strength
-our favorite tactic is to use huge amounts of firepower to pound our enemys into submission
-However, our most popular troop choices are Rangers and Scorpions. We have fluffed this as us using lots of heavy vehicles, while our troops are used to hit the forces that hide from our gunlines or who seek to outflank them.
-our greatest hero is an Autarch know for striking down a Hive Tyrant single handedly. Named Alandis, Tyrant Slayer, she is known for her preference for Ranged combat and has a history amongst the Dire Avengers.
-we have allies/pawns in the form of a Dark Eldar Kabal. Conversely a Dark Eldar Kabal is our most hated nemesis.

What is yet to be determined:
-The precise relationship that we have with the Kabals
-What symbol/heraldry our craftworld uses
-Our Craftworld colors (however some suggestions have us wearing brown/orange/bronze or maybe green/black with orange highlights. Possibly both?
-General fluff, such as how our Artisan nature plays a role in our style
-everything and anything else we can think of to add

*One interesting thing of note, pointed out by >>62696840, is how eerily similar our craftworld is with Nagarythe, a High Elf kingdom from the great, late WHFB.
>>
>>62702253
For a symbol we could crib off Nagaryhe, they have a pretty good symbol.

The Artisan focus means we are not only focused on Aesthetics but also on construction due to the need of Bonsingers. This also fits into our focus on heavy vehicles to provide firepower. It also makes us conversely very good at fortifications/defensive warfare.
>>
How does this idea sound: Bothe CW and Kabal are descendants of the same Croneworld before the Fall? It would make their alliance slightly more believable when they realize this.

Threatening soulstones is still a grave offense Inquisitor...

I'm guessing the other Craftworlds see as a bunch of backwoods weirdo's? Maybe we're the mythical go-between for civilized folk and Hillbillys (DE)
>>
>>62708323
I wish we were Corsairs, they are fucking best
>>
>>62708395
They are pretty good. Maybe we could be the go to man between various Eldar groups in Ultima?
>>
>>62702373
How about this all three groups come from the same croneworld.
The allied Kabal was part of an upper class of Eldar that ruled the croneworld and the Craftworld Eldar served them as a lower class but both took a different route on how to escape the Fall ( the upper class fleed to Commorragh the lower class took the craftworld).
And the Kabal that wants them both dead was part of a rivalling family on the same croneworld who wanted to destroy the ruling house and it's servants to take over the croneworlds rule but the rebellion that was staged was interrupted by the Fall and these Eldar too fleed to Commorragh where they not only found the former rulers of the croneworld but waged an endless war in the streets of Commorragh and against the former servants after they have found them too because this is the only thing they have left and they don't wanna die knowing that they have failed in the task of eradicating the ruling family.
>>
>>62709071
That works. It's an interesting difference to others I've found to have done. Were the Craftworlders the menials (Artisans, Hunters etc,)?

I like the whole revenge for revenge sake the antagonistic Kabal have with them.

Would the CWE be more independent from the Allied Kabal?
>>
>>62709210
Originally the servants of the Noble House of ******, the Citizens of Driag-Nahl have become adept at hiding and operating between the shadows. In the Ultima Segmentum they have become a byword among Eldar groups as middlemen and liaisons between Craftworlds and the Dark Eldar. Many are wary of their history and pacts but none can deny how effective they are.

The people of Driag-Nahl are quiet and not taken to flights of fancy. The need to hide and survive has heavily colored their perceptiosn and culture. But they are regardless becoming famous for their works of art and skill, their aid to Iyanden and the Ynnarite movement has earned them fame and praise from Primarch Guillman himself after a joint mission during the Ultima Crusade.
>>
>>62709558
The Craftworld of Driag-Nahl itself is the actually the yacht of House ******. It remained when the fall happened and was commandeered by the House retainers and the populace of the Croneworld that could board in time to escape the Fall.

Since then the Yacht has grown and built upon to a proper Craftworld size, if one looks closely enough you can find the remains of the Decadent Yacht it once was.
>>
>>62709210
How about this one the allied Kabal found them by accident while they attacked the rival Kabal (who found the servants far earlier) when they tried to attack the CWE.
They find the old croneworld symbols used by them in the past and they get the idea that:
>Hey our servants have survived here maybe we can capture them and use them as cannon fodder, workers or sex slaves!

But then do they realize that the former lower class is not only rather doing well and is independent with no help from outside required no they are also packing heat in the form of lot's and lot's of artillery because they do not wanna fuck around anymore after what happend during that tyranid invasion and the Fall.
You see the CWE where industry that backed the ruling family on the croneworld that is why they are fine craftsman they are experts in crafting durable and effective weapons like swords, guns and big fuck off artillery cannons they are so good that they turned it into an artform back home where they would compete on which weapon craftsman would make the most wonderful and destructive weapon of them all.
Not only that but the Hunters (Or Rangers in modern times) where the people who tested the weapons during a hunt for the Artisans before they send them to the upper class soldiers who would use them during the War in Heaven and against the rebellion attemps of the rival family.
The Hunters themself where stealthy yes but most of the success they had during those hunts was archived by the well made weapons and armour that they wore which is why they are so good at it because the suit in this case makes the Eldar.
So yeah when the former upper class saw the amount of Whoop Ass the former servants could open where they kind of intimidated and started to be friendly towards the former lower class and showed them some respect and asked them if they could help them with the still ongoing family feud while they would help the CWE against any of Invasion that could happen.
>>
>>62709756
That works perfectly.

I'm guessing the Aspect Warrior Shrines cam millennia later. These guys were hiding so well it took quite a while for them to be found and by then had largely been surviving by way of Rangers, Artillery and subterfuge to prevent discovery.

I have the perfect weapon for Alandis. I've been wracking my brain on what she should use, and I got it. It even fits her ranged specialty and shows off the artisan specialty of the CW.

Imagine her using the arrow to just butcher Termagaunts like no one's business.

Don't fuck with people who know theire shit when it comes to weapon and armour manufacturing paired with the lower classes wish to stay the fuck alive ( I have the feeling that we are creating /k/ommando Eldar).
I can imagine that these Eldar are paranoid as fuck after what happend during the Fall and after noticing that something even worse might come through did they get an idea.
Chief Farseer:
>Nope fuck that we ain't dying now to a bunch of oversized bugs after surviving that shitfest called the Fall and we will definitly not lose our home again call the Rangers and Artisans tell them that we will fortify our home.
Lower rank Farseer:
>Uhm how much are we going to fortify and how much time and effort should we invest into that?
Chief Farseer:
>Fortify EVERYTHING. PUT EVERYONE ON WAR DUTY AND TURN THE PLANET INTO A FUCKING DEATHTRAP FOR ANYONE WHO TRIES TO KILL US!
lesser more concerned Farseer:
>Fortify everything understood, we will notify the Artisans and Rangers to prepare a plan on how we could archive that.
Big Boss Farseer:
>NOT COULD! THEY WILL DO IT!
nervous lesser Farseer:
>Understood no need to scream and we will tell them that "no" is not an option.

>>62710277
This could be the reason why she got into that position most warriors (except the Rangers) are not promoted because of martial skill but in terms of craftsmanship if they can build and use a weapon or armour that is very effective are they allowed to rank up and the better the weapons that they can build the higher they rank up and the Arrow was Alandis most successful project that she used on the Tyranids and which earned her the rank of Autarch.
>>
>>62710718
Imagine a wall opening up and being just hundreds of shuriken pistols unloading on anyone in there.

And the craftsmanship idea works perfectly. Each big name has their own little projects with Alandis' being the most notable for how devastating it was.
>>
>>62710718
>>62710277
Alandis' helmet is a key part of how she operates her Arrows. The very prominent fin that rises from the scalp is reminiscent but differs from a traditional Eldar war crest. Rather than being fine hairs or replicas, it is one piece of Psycho-reactive emitters that is menat to amplify her admittedly weak psychic powers. Due to her weka powers, he normally cannot control her Arrow very far and with difficulty, with it she becomes a monster on the battlefield with her Arrows slaughtering her foes with disgusting ease.

Arrows of Alndis

Wraithbone drones Force weapons. Effectively comparable to a Force Sword that flys through targets from a range. Early versions were simple sharpened implements. Leave a rainbow hued trial behind them.
>>
When one looks upon the forces of Driag-Nahl it may seem unusual at first. The primary troops being Striking Scorpions and Rangers performing flanking attacks and subterfuge with bonesinger defenses and various artillery/vehicles for heavy firepower. But these methods are tried and proven over the course of millennia for the peoples of Driag-Nahl to survive the Fall and the ages since.

They were not warriors when they first escaped upon the pleasure yacht of House ***** long ago. They were slaves and menial lower castes that were making the best of their situation. By the time that the first Aspect Shrine was founded on Driag-Nahl they had largely focused upon building defenses and the use of Rangers to hide themselves away and redirect would be predators from them.
>>
Gonna make some area of interest

Rangers Hall

The primary meeting point for the Rangers of Driag-Nahl. It also serves as a way station for travelers going in and out of the Craftworld ever since it became more open to the outside world ever since the Rise of the Ynnarite faction.

Shrine of the Stalking Mists.
Aspect Shrine of the Striking Scorpions of Driag-Nahl. Found deep with the misty jungle of the primary habitation dome. It is rumored to actually move between different location on some unknown schedule to keep secrecy and protect it. Only SS and key individuals are allowed to know it's location at all times.

The "Factories"
To improve on Driag-Nahl's war efforts in defense of her peoples, the bonesingers and Artisans of the Craftworld realized that the cottage industries they had been building upon would no longer cut it against a serious threat. This led to the creation of "Factories" that worked upon assembly lines with various workers acting in conjunction to produce great amounts of war material ranging from simple Catapults to the mighty Titan Killer Superheavy Fliers.

The Grand Webway Portal
One of the most Prominent remains of the Craftwolrds origins as a pleasure yacht of a Noble House Pre-Fall. Capable of fitting small starships through it's wormhole, in recent years it has been a great source of income and traffic. Though in the past it was rarely used due to fears of a possible attack through it.
>>
>>62711513
Well I'm back

The "Factories" are closer to the proto factories of ancient Egypt and the like than a true factory. The focus more on the skill of the Artisans than how a factory would normally act. The Artisans of Driag-Nahl still prefer to make the best possible equipment and don't like making things cheaply, it's not the best method but they'd prefer their people get the very best. It's still faster and more effective than other Craftworld production centers.

The SS Shrine is the most mysterious area outside of the long forgotten areas of the Yacht that are best forgotten. It is known that it has it's own Webway portals and sees a fair amount of traffic alongside the Ranger Hall.

The Grand Portal is an odd one out given it's size and the area it is situaten in. In addition o being the main area nowadays fro commercial traffic, it is used by the Craftworld to mass deploy troops when it is absolutely needed and to deploy their superheavy vehicles such as Scorpions several abreast.

Royal Amber Leaf Trees

The tree most associated with Driag-Nahl. Dark brown, almost black wood and bark with Amber/Orange leaves. When the sun/light passes overhead the forest floors are covered in a majestic, almost holy, warm glow that is said to enflame one's passions. The Trees are commonly found in groves throughout the Craftworld and are a favorite subject for painters, sculptures and the like.

Their origins are contested, but they are seen as being a product of House ******'s work into botany/horticulture.

The bark is noticeable for it's flavor when dried. Said to resemble human cinnamon/cassia mixed with clove, nutmeg and oddly enough cayenne pepper. Commonly added with only salt as additional flavoring for deserts and meat dishes. It is a common export to other Craftworlds as a deleicacy and was even used as part of a meal commemorating the alliance between the Ynnarites and Imperium. Primarch Guilliman notably enjoyed it and remarked how it reminded him of his youth and his father's teas.

I need to sleep. And take some medicine because this cold is kicking my ass. I'll try one ore post and then bed,

Roc Titan Killer Superheavy Flier

A recent design owing to Driag-Nahl's emergence into the galaxy following the rise of the Ynnarites. Follows a similar design to the Phoenix bomber, but built to a far larger scale. Somewhat jokingly referred to as a Corvette with wings, the joke has some merit. Built aroun it's compliment of nose mounted Pulsar Lances. Commonly found on Titans and Scorpion Superheavy tanks, these lasers are the final say in Aeldari weapon sysrtems.

In addition, the Roc is equipped with several shuriken cannons, Bright Lances and the like to deter enemy strike craft and missiles. They are also used to mop up what ever survives it's initial attack runs
>>
>>62712595
Thunderbird

Variant of the Roc, replaces the Pulsars with Psychic Lances and appropriately has Farseers/Warlocks added to its crew compliment to channel their powers through it.

nly one has been known to be deployed on the battle of Aries IV where it unleashed its crew's full psychic might against a Keeper of Secrets. Such was the devastation laid against it that Seers say it was either banished for millennia or even experienced True Death

No, thank YOU, dear anon.

I must say you guys have turned the craftworlds backstory into something that I never would have thought up of myself. I mean that in the best way possible, of course.

My idea that I was toying with at work was something along the lines of the craftworld was just hiding because "lol who the fuck cares about the galaxy, lets all circle jerk over our art projects for the next few millennia" (i may still have some bitterness from art collage), with them only coming out of their isolation due to mounting outside pressures refusing to be ignored, culminating in a big ol' hiest by the "Bad" Kabal of a huge amount of soulstones (or something equally provoking that sends CWE into a blind raeg). Being unable to find them despite their best efforts, they turn to the """"""Good"''""""" Kabal, who are major rivals with Bad Kabal, for help trading favors for favors, information for information, you scratch my back I'll try not to scratch yours with my poison-coated knife. Kind of like doing business with the Mob. And the whole Tyranid debacle would come out of one of those favors going wrong and exploding into a full scale war with the swarm.

Of course I would have put it more eloquently had I posted it before you guys spun my yarn into pure gold.
Needless to say I think what you guys have done with it is better.
>>
>>62711214
The good idea behind this approach might be that they use both Rangers and Scorps commando tactics to make the enemies group in one large or several smaller units, disappear into the shadows and release indiscriminate artillery firepower to eliminate opposing force in a few barrage fires.
>>
And guys if we keep this up and flesh it out good and proper, I'm gonna make a page for it on 1d4chan. So lets make good.

It was just the thought of why should the CWE be the bitches of the Kabal?
If they are Eldar Artisans they will not sit around and do nothing they will do something with the time given so why shouldn't they design even more weapons to kind of relax and given that they are Eldar are they very good at it and would even master and not only that other than the Kabal or other CWE are they not distracetd by sex, drugs ,assasination attemps, S&M roleplay, prophecys of doom or some grand manipulation plan and can properly concentrate on the task to make the craftworld as secure as possible via supreme firepower ( even more so after the roach invasion) Ithey didn't even know what the fuss was about the humans and what these Space Marines are ( they first thought they were the adult or combat form of these creatures and when Big G showed up did they think he was the Patriarch of all humans) the only ones who knew maybe a bit where the Rangers and those didn't even care unless the primitives made attemps to reach the system which they sabotaged by doing the equivalent of placing a magnet near the compass.
They only found out about the humans importance after the allied Kabal helped them make contact with the other CWE and Commorragh in the late 39th millenium ( for the sake of doing business and getting more resources to build even better artillery and traps which of course came with the promise that when shit hits the fan that the allied Kabal can hide behind said artillery and they even build them some housing for that case right in the optimal firing range of a coveniently hidden and unknown artillery position) which didn't suprise them thanks to an extensive Ranger network who concentrated on finding other Eldar but they did not contacted them because they didn't know if they are friendly or not so they just stalked them the whole time.
>>
>>62716552
This is why the /k/ommando Vietcong space elves that one anon had the idea of works so well
>>
>>62716552
They've likely dealt with humans before in the past given the timescale, so being unknowing would be unusual. But most of their knowledge is rather secondhand at best and from Ranger reports bringing it back to the CW. It wouldn't be until after the rise of the Ynnari and the creation of the Gulf that the /k/ommando Aeldar get a much better picture of the situation.

So they are still working off of millennia of misconstrued reports and experiences that harkens back to simpler times.
>>
>>62716584
im glad OP liked the idea and didn't get mad that I turned his artisans into paranoid gun nuts who just want to have a peaceful existence but after noticing that the universe is still shit just decided to go full /k/ommando and blow everything up that just looks at them funny shit even Iron Warriors will have a problem cracking that fortress of a Craftsworld.
>>
>>62716679
>Iron Warriors
"Driag-nahl? yeah I remember that hellhole. We went in thinking we'd be able to crack it with ease and use the soulstones and infinity circuit as bargaining chips with other groups. But what we found... was more like the Iron Cage and we were the Fists. Who the fuck puts a Pulsar Cannon at the end of a hallway behind a façade?"
>>

Artisans aside, this is eerily reminiscent of my own "Craftworld that's a Deathworld, basically space exodites" idea where a common "prank"
among kabalites is to drop a disliked leader there for the weekend. If they survive, they get bragging rights and, usually, the head of whoever came up with the prank.

Now this gave me an idea this weapon project of Alandris is pretty good, so good in fact that it kinda made many other warriors who wanted the rank butt hurt because now thanks to her are the requirments to reach the Autarch rank now ridiculous, yes she is a hero but some are rather bitter because of her success.
rando Driag-Nah SS:
>Fucking Alandris and her stupid Arrows that is just unfair just because she can mind control Wraithbone shards that turns giant bugs into ribbons is she now the Autarch and big Hero of everything man fuck that bitch.
buddy of rando SS
>What is the matter I mean you told me you didn't wanted to be Autarch anyway right? So why are you mad?
Mad as fuck rando SS:
>I lied I wanted to be an Autarch just like my father was and do you know how he got the position?
> I tell you how he got the position he just super heated the shurikens of a catapult cannon by putting a torch that is fired up via Dragon's Breath flamer fuel infront of the muzzle so that they could pierce armour better and it did, that the Hunter burned down a forest during the test process was just a minor accident and he still got the position.
> And here comes "Super Genius Alandris" with her rainbow Arrows of make giant monsters dissapear that make pretty whoshing sounds when they fly around and she get's herself the position and ruins it for everyone else who wanted a chance! She just got lucky that one of her stupid Arrows flew into it's eye and turned it's brain into mush and now is she the big damn hero.
> I would have gotten the damn position if I could finally get my damn anti matter grenade magazine to function which you throw after you emptied it but I can't get it small enough to fit in the regular rifles without making it unsafe this is fucking unfair.

Specializes in Blades. They have become a byword among the Craftworld for their incredible quality and reliability. They take great pride in their works and are ardent worshippers of Vaul and frequently donate/join the clergy of the Smith God.

I really like these ideas, let me expand on them a bit; imagine this for the "Ballad of the Tyrant's Fall":

Thick of the battle fray, heavy artillery fire pounding on the enemy lines mercilessly, the Driag-Nahl Rangers and Striking Scorpions clashing with endless stream of hive beasts, neck deep in claws, teeth, fangs and guts - the battle rages, indecisive, for some time. Through the back lines of the Eldar a tall figure followed by a small retinue pushes forward. Even though preoccupied with mortal combat, monstrosities assaulting them relentlessly from all sides, the rank and file warriors make room, disciplined and united. The Farseer and her Council are here. As if unaware of the world around her, the Farseer sits down on the ground cross-legged, her wraithbone garb and armor gleaming in the autumn colors though it was dead of night, reflected upon it the distant star light. Even more ornate and artistic is her outfit than that of her kin, glorious proof and pride of masterful craftsmen of her Craftworld. The beasts unnerved, as if intuitively expecting something, focus their attack on the seemlessly defensless Farseer but warriors block their way, protecting her with their very lives. The Council takes their seat likewise, positioning themselves at equal distance around the Seer.
>>
>>62718396
cont.

With one hand Alandis reaches to her back and takes a naked bow, with the other she plucks one of the golden hairs adorning her helmet. Gently she string the wraithbone until it bends into a crescent. But instead of taking a stance ready to shoot, she remains seated and rests the bow in her lap. Many a warrior blocks the path of the crazed thirsting monsters trying and dying in an attempt to reach and interrupt the Witch. Unmoved by the chaos around her, she takes a shining jewel from the middle of her breastplate, with a loud click it dislodges, and she places it upon the string. A strange silence falls upon the battlefield, almost palpable against the screaming pitch of war. Her Concert begins.

She plays the string, moving the jewel along it, and the night becomes awash in music. The Council joins in with a meditative hum that rises and falls with the sound, as if punctuating each note and underlining their meaning. The Farseer plays thruthfully and full of emotion, about the nobility of her warriors, vast forests and golden canopies of her home, the bone and song, their kin lost and masters overthrown, the fate of her people...and the demise of her enemies. As the melody becomes more intricate and involved so does the apparent meditative trance of the performers. They slowly begin to levitate, psychically empowered by the autohypnotic effects of the tune, and in that moment, the music becomes reality.
>>
>>62718413
cont.

The four rectangular tabbards on the back of her armor spring open and Arrows of Alandis take to the battlefield. As if in slow motion, these batons start conducting the Farseer's symphony, darting everywhere, bolting and returning, homing in with dread precision, whistling away from one target to the next. Some are simple wraithbone spikes, impaling the lowliest of gaunts, some are full of force and dire in nature striking the soul of leader strains directing the brood, some are tipped with miniature fire prisms blasting away threats close and afar creating a defensive array of sorts, some are invisible leaving nothing but a prismatic trail of rainbow in the darkness, silencing their prey in a burst of colors...The eerie music pierces the night like the Arrows themselves, inspiring allies with renewed fervor and striking fear into the creatures, dispelling their apparent lack of it. The wailing intermingled with slaughter plays out, the grim overture rising and falling with the tide of the battle, the music echoing with the screams of defeated and fallen alike...until a deafning roar gives the whole host a pause.

House Prestedir
An oddity among the houses and the operate with various communication systems and disruptors. They work very closely with the Aerospace Houses/Factories as their systems often make the difference between life and death for pilots.

House Maethon
Renowned fro being the premier constructors of Driag-Nahl's Wraith FLeet. They make excess platforms not simply for themselves but for export to smaller/less capable Craftworlds. They have many Spiritseers among their numbers which they make great use of.

House Galadir

Premier builders of Driag-Nahl's laser arsenal, though recently they have fallen on hard times and this has led to the rise of various smaller houses picking up the slack. They mostly focus on the especially large variety of lasers, most notably the Pulsars commonly found on Driag-Nahl's Superheavy fleets.
Since I'm writing these House blurbs, the politics of the Craftworld is probably interesting. It almost seems corporate in a way with long established houses of good producers.
>>
>>62718504
cont.

Both Council and Alandis focus their attention on the frontline of the enemy, where an enormous Hive Tyrant emerges. Slowly they drop to their feet. A moment of stilness lasts forever with only a cold wind brushing the hair on their helmets...Breaking the spell, the monster shrieks and charges directly at the Farseer. She removes her helmet revealing an auburn smile and determination that only an Eldar, knowing how the fates will unfold, can have. "The Encore begins now", she murmurs to her Council, laying a hand on the shoulder of the closest seer, grabbing her staff from the other. "Today, it is us who laughs, not the Gods! Today Fate is our Craft! Mael dannan!" she proclaims and lunges at the gargantuan beast, her kin following with a united cry.

Well it's not about who is more productive or who makes the most cash because those are just the byproducts of the whole competition they have among eachother.
I mean they were lower class maybe the weapons and armour had been the only way to memorialize themself in history by keeping an upper class family safe so that they can truly attest that this amazing item from that specific Artisan family makes the name worth to be remembered.
They just don't want to be forgotten even if they have to compete with other Artisans that just follow the same goal.
Maybe they even believed back in the old days on the croneworld that they may produce a Weapon or Armour that is so good that even Khaine or some other god would show up and use it in glorius battle which results in the familys name being written down in the annals of the Eldar Pantheon for all Eternity.
And now after the Fall is the crafting of weapons and the competition among eachother the only reminder that they have that everything was once better.

Iyanden is quite Human when you think about it. But these guys have largely been isolated by their own doing and by circumstance, so their development is rather different than the norm. Traffic is quite low before recent times which meant they have developed oddly in comparison

Ok OP, writefaggot here, time to man up! What was the original vision? Let us sum up what we have so far, see what options for exploring the craftworld culture are on the table and focus our creative effort. We should reach a consensus so our energy wouldn't go to waste on specific autisms but on a unified autism.

Wont be back till around 11, so yuo guiz go wild and I promise to do a write up of what "My" vision of what the Craftworld is, and then we can go from there.

See ya.

"Driag Nahl? I've heard of 'em. Real weird Aeldar. At first they seem like any Aeldar but once you get close and start really looking the differences become apparent. There's this... paranoia about them this fear if you will. Their constant need, a want to improve on what thwey have and how they look at problems makes them almost... Human if I say so. Some would call it blasphemous but I see 'em as kindred spirits."

>>
>>62719275
I will try to help out in summarizing if that is okay
>relationship with the Kabal
Former master and servant relationship on the old croneworld all three groups inhabited with the CWE acting as the lower class industrial backbone of the Kabalist upper class who had the military power which they used to help in the War in Heaven and to secure the rule of the croneworld while a rivaling family ( the enemy kabal) tried to destroy both factions to rule the croneworld themself now they are on equal terms with the CWE becoming the big Shield for the former upper class to hide behind but the Craftsworld doesn't trust them, while the Kabal is rather intimated that the former servants could muster such big amounts of firepower and helps them against planetary invasions and making contact and alliances with other Kabals and CWE so that they are on good terms with the gun nuts. This turned the CWE into the local arms dealer (and kind of R&D lab) of both Aeldari groups and turning them into a neutral ground.
Meanwhile do the other Kabal hate both groups with a passion and want to get revenge on them just to at least fulfill this last deed even if that is the last thing that they will do.
>>
>>62719695
That works perfectly. Driag-Nahl's feelings about the Ynnari is probably wonder mixed with actual hope. For once, depite the darkness that permeated their species before now they have the potential to strike back and recuperate. Since then they have become a huge backer of Yvrain and the Ynnarites in general becoming a prime arms dealer and industrial backer for the various Aeldari groups under it's banner.

>The Artisans affecting the society:
In short they are master arms manufacturers who turned it on the Crownworld into an artform and after the Fall and Tyranid Invasion into a protoindustry backed by paranoia.
They mostly produce just to improve the defense of the Craftworld but they sell excess weapons and armours to other CWE and Kabalites for more materials that they do not have access to and maybe test subjects from the Kabals.
The Invasion that happend made them finally snap and showed them that something worse might be coming so the Artisans and Rangers planned and placed millions of traps all around the Craftworld all being different and devastating
on theire own ( spring traps, false corridors that lead into incinerators, murder holes entire meadows filled with monofilament wires etc.) this was combined with hundreds of artillery cannons and super heavy vehicles that defend the outer perimeters while those places that can't be reached by those weapons are guarded by SS and lobster Wraiths who will either make them run back out, make them run into another trap or slaughter them the old fashioned way.
This combined with the Rangers always hiding in the shadows and being on the lookout inside and outside the Craftworld to search for imminent danger turned them into people who expect the worst and are prepared for it.
The Artisans already turned this craft into a form of whorship to the gods and now is it an integral part of society which even dictates one position in society and military (except for Rangers) by the quality of ones work the better the work the higher the rank while ones heritage mostly will define what kind of specialism the Eldar will follow ( allthough they are exceptions to that rule) which in turn means that every soldier is proficent in arms manufacturing themself and even test selfmade prototypes on the field to show theire worth.

Many of their buyers, Kabal included, do not mind the trade of resources for equipment. But sometimes they have to question the contents of their trade. A fusion bomb micro missile launcher? Witch Blade Jump Wings? Many of such equipment is not only shipped alongside average equipment but in many cases come along with Artisan House retainers/members who act as test groups for said equipment. The Artisan houses are always looking to test and improve, but the worries of endangering their own populace has led to the ever increasing expansion of these test groups working alongside buyers.

A little more on the Striking Scorpions.

Records show that the first major visitors and first true outsider Aeldar to discover Driag-nahl were in fact the Striking Scorpions themselves. Tales tell of how they were running from something millennia ago after being cut off from their main force. After years of travelling through the Webways they stumbled upon Driag-nahl. Their arrival in the capital city was frought with fear and excitement. The Striking Scorpions then were the truly first outsiders Driag-Nahl had met in so long outside of the Rangers on missions.

After coming to an understanding with the leadership of the Craftworld, the SS decided to set up shop and take on apprentices to protect the hiding Craftworld. Similar event over the millennia would lead to the establishment of other Aspect Shrines. Currently all but the Warp Spiders and Shining Spears have made residence upon the Artisan Craftworld.
>>
>>62721131
Their size and seniority has led to the Shrine of the Stalking Mists to be regarded as First Among Equals for the Shrines.

While most Craftworlds would have their Aspect Warriors start in the Dire Avengers for learning a balanced approach to warfare and to learn Iron Spine discipline, Driag-Nahl has them start in the Shrine of the Stalking Mists. This is to effectively weed out those cannot take the rigors of stealth and to teach them to hide and strike from the shadows.

Effectively all Autarchs of Driag-Nahl have at one time or another been a members of the Stalking Mists. Currently oly Autarch Alandis has broken this tradition since she joined the Dark Reapers first. Why she joined them first shall likely never be known, as she is tight lipped on the matter. She was the first of her family to join the Dark Reapers in generations.

I really like the artisan focus of the CWE, it's a real shout out to the Noldor-type elves.

Nice

Here's an idea of how the SS Wraith is like in basic.
>>
I like the idea how the CW was built originally around a luxurious pleasure limoship and that it still lies at it's core, a yacht of debauchary that is a "forbidden" zone that everybody avoids, rarely anyone visits but all know it exists, reminding them of their servitude and origin as "slaves". It might have been used by their previous masters and for that exact reason might be a location of choice for their Dark Eldar "allies" when they come to visit and conduct diplomacy or trade.

Tears/Jewels/Stars of F******

Ancient Pre-Fall artifacts native to the Croneworld and denzinens of Driag-nahl. Legend and records tell of how an Artisan specializing in Light creating devices created them as a gift to his Fiancé. She appreciated them but loved him for who he was. The Lord of House ******* took great interest in the devices and took most of them unto the House's Pleasure Yacht that become Driag-Nahl. They defy physics by producing actual sunlight and no gravity. Driag-Nahl makes use of them not only for the light they provide but also as a power source for the Craftworld.

Sadly like most treasures of the Pre-Fall they are incapable of being recreated and are fiercely guarded by Artisan House ****** to this day as they are the primary caretakers of them.

What other artifacts/treasures would Driag-Nahl have?
>>
>>62723258
That's it, was exactly looking for a "forest-like" or wood-like pattern, essentially looking like a living tree (ent or a treefolk). In autumn colors that would be a top fit.
>>
>>62723437
I like that idea. A subtle method of the Kabal allies to remind the Draig-Nahl of their origins. The Core Yacht still remains and is pretty much cordoned off to the people. It also contains the largest and most powerful of the Jewels of F*******. Acting as the main powersource of the Craftworld.

If Driag-nahl could remove the Yacht and send it into a black hole they would but the time, effort and resources spent is too great. So they maintain it to the best they can.

I imagine their are remnants of previous attackers that still lurk within the Yacht after getting in somehow. Regular patrols of the armed forces regularily make their rows within it's bowels.

The Yacht is the subject of innumerable horror and ghost stories since the Fall and habitation by refugees.

A Deathworld tier place. Filled with all manner of lethal planets and animals. Razor grass, Lotus eater pods still filled with those unfortunates, abominations of all sorts. Was the pride and joy of the Lady of House ******.

The Colloseum
300km at it's estimated widest, considered small but homely back in the day. Populated by abominations since the fall and filled with all manner of still functioning defense meant to keep things *IN*.

Beauty Parlors
Exactly as one would think of a Pre-Fall parlor. Catered to every fetish and whim of the Nobility.

How does Driag-nahl kitting out their Avatar sound? They are all about being Artisans/Smiths so making wonderous weaponry for the God of War and Bloodshed is probably a past time for them.

Weaponry Artisan Houses spend immense amounts of time to craft the finest arsenal for the Avatar of Khaine to make use of when it is called upon. It is rare but their have been occasions that the Avatar has been awoken on the eve of battle and presented with gifts it may channel it's power through.

The first time this happened, the Avatar is said to have been perplexed by the actions of the Artisans and almost smote them out of anger until it caught sight of a Great Axe of wonderous make. The Avatar stopped in it's tracks and inspected the Axe taking in its fine features and then taking it into battle.

Since then the various weaponry Houses have toiled to create gifts and weapons for the Avatar to use replacing the ones offered after a time when new and better versions are made.
>>
Sorry was out to dinner.

The reason the Avatar is generally awakened for battle is not typically threats from without, but from *Within*. The Yacht Core of Driag-Nahl is filled with all manner of abominations and horrors that on occasion have risen to enough of a threat level to warrant the Avatar to be deployed. It speaks volumes for how dangerous the Core is if the manifestation of the God of War needs to be called into battle for at least morale purposes....

This constant reminder of the pre-Fall Aeldari Empire along with their near constant relations with Kabals has led to a deep loathing for the pre-Fall Empire and those that look fondly back on it. To say they had a low opinion of Biel-Tan is an understatement. Rangers f Driag-nahl have had numerous run ins with the the militaristic Craftworld have left a bad taste in their mouth given Biel-Tan's attitudes toward everyone else non Chaos, Eldar Ork or Necron.

A Farseer of Driagh-nahl stands on top of the Artillery watchtowers during a routine quality and situation check of the defense systems.
For some reason did he stop his inspection just to stare at a point in the distance and some of the soldiers and Artisans who maintained and patrolled the tower started to get worried.
When they murmured something about the Farseer acting strange does he start to speak up again his voice bearing a melancholic undertone:
>Everytime when i go up these towers of our settlements right between where the treetops meet the emerald green sky am I reminded of our past.
He doesn't turn around to look to the perplexed members of the towers crew and simply just continues with his monolouge.
>I have spoken with many others of our kind who could only speak in the highest tones of the past who acted as if it was the epitome of creation
The other Aeldari finally understood what happend the Farseer council and other representatives had made contact with other so called "Craftsworld" and a place called Commorragh where many of them had survived and they where interested in the "Art" that they produced this was all possible after the Nobles had returned to help them make contact, all though the Nobles had slighty changed from what many remembered but they still acted the same allthough more careful as if they almost feared them.
The Farseer continued:
>I don't know what kind of Fantasy these people lived in but this is not the Empire that we knew of.
>Our Home was built on bone breaking work, bitter cold winters, scorching summers, pain and fear
He grips the railing that he is currently holding harder and still keeps his eyes on the Horizon.
> The only things we had was our Art, our familys, the worship of the Gods and the promise that maybe the nobles will not forget our names
If one would follow his gaze would they see far in the distance deep in the eternally amber and brown woods a great dark unnatural shadow looming.
>>
>>62726862
Nice.

The original settlements of the Yacht the People who would form Driag-Nahl were formed around the extremities and outer layers of the Yacht. These areas were the least 'Decadent' of them and could hold sizable populations. For years the people would fend off the horrors that lurked within while simultaneously constructing the new outer layers that would become the Craftworld Driag-Nahl. The Craftworld would finally come to fruition by 36M. Generations lived and died upon Driag-Nahl until then. Many areas were conquered and sanitized for habitation including the Prime Jewel Star providing much of it's power but the depths would be unconquerable excepting the most destructive methods.

Here is a shitty 2d version of how I envision Driag-Nahl to look. Since they were building around the yacht to more or less get away from the core, it is fairly Conical with purple being yacht and black being the Craftworld border proper. Green circles are habitation domes scattered throughout both in and on the surface.
>>
>>62726862
The Farseer continues while the crew just waits and listens:
>The Nobles would demand better armour and weapons every day and we had to provide no matter the cost "Work!" they would say "Work harder to build us weapons that could even kill a God!" and we would follow for the punishment was far worse than dying in an accident for that was forgiven if you died for your Art
>Those who failed to produce on time got the whip which was the most merciful punishment, if a weapon failed on the battlefield did they send you into the dungeons for pain beyond any comprehension but you still lived, broken but still alive.
>But then there was the case of nobles being killed because of a faulty weapon or a damaged armour then they would not take you but one of your family and send them to the "Host of Dreams" the pleasure yacht of the Nobles and then would a retainer who was a former Artisan and who had been personally handpicked by the Nobles from the "common folk" as they called us come to the house of the family to show them the details of the family members demise.
>The retainer was forced under threat of torture not to show emotions during this process and the family had to watch it for the retainer was forced to report the sucess of the punishment and if they didn't would the retainer die too.
The Farseer still watches the dark shadow that is surrounded by several walls which are brimming with defensive cannons and patrols who watched the perimeter of the area where the shadow lurked the star started to set and the sky was turning into a dark teal tone.
>We would work harder and harder and even try to take off the edge by competing with each other because we knew of no other life only the life of the enslaved Artisan.
>Our Art and our comradery would be the only thing that would make us happy during work and late in the night was it the thought that maybe we did enough to keep our familys safe from the nobles wrath.
>>
Thinking of a beginning to a 1d4chan page.

What happens when you cross Nagarythe, Noldor, Vietcong, and /k/ together? These guys. Say hello to Craftworld Driag-Nahl the latest in the /tg/ brewed Craftworlds.

Focusing upon an odd combo of Masterwork gear, defensive structures, stealth/subterfuge and being utterly autistic in their pursuits of said goals, Driag-Nahl is a nightmare to their enemies... if they can find them first.
>>
>>62727311
The Farseer wouldn't move and the crew still sat and listened and even more joined to hear the Farseers words:
>We even made weapons for the Gods themself because we thought that if we made a weapon or armour good enough for a god would we not only be remembered for all eternity but maybe could they also take our familys from this nightmare so that we do not have to worry anymore about theire safety
> it became a sort of faith that one of us would make a weapon that a god would love and made him decide that we all could leave.
>maybe the gods listened or maybe someone else but our prayers where heard our wish was sadly granted wih the Fall
Many of the listeners didn't like the mention of the Fall but they didn't dare to interrupt and just let the Farseer talk.
The Farseer himself was still focussing on the large shadow which lied in the epicenter of the woods.
>The Fall.... yes it happend during a rebellion of those blood thirsty barbarians from the lesser houses many of the nobles visited a secret place for maybe even sicker debauchery in the webway during that time while most of them defended our old home.
>We had to work double time during an extremly hot summer when it happend all of the Nobles on the planet died and we made ourself ready for the end when all of a sudden the Retainers of the host of dreams rescued us they took those that survived into the the former greatest punishment for our people and just set course to somewhere safe.
>The Irony of us surviving thanks to the host of Dreams is truly disgusting the retainers knew which areas to avoid like the parlor, the arena or
the gardens during our travel in the void until we chrash landed on this planet our new and true home.
>We survived but we had no time to repair the ship and seal off the dangerous parts which resulted in the horrors and nightmares inside to just come out and hunt us but we where not unprepaired.
>>
While jungles are the primary biome of choice for Driag-Nahl, that is not to say they are the only ones. Throughout the biomes in the habitation domes one can find a multitude of different biomes. Desets, plains, hills ,seas, crags and many more. One reason is to give the people of Driag-Nahl variety in their lives and adventure to improve their internal economy and psche health. Another is military: the various biomes greatly aids the training of the Aspect Warriors and Rangers to better their skills when performing expeditions away from home. A third is to allow Artisans different environments to test their new equipment/war gear. Such testing has been a huge boon to the refinement and development of their works.
>>
>>62727784
>We had been building more weapons and armours as our form of prayer to the gods who we didn't know if they still existed and during our journey and the retainers who where excellent hunters and had been trained in combat showed us how to effectively use our Art.
>We used all of our weapons against these monsters and drove them back into the deepest parts of the ship and we started to build walls around it and still keep firing inside just to keep these monsters scared until we where done and sealed them away from us.
The Farseer finally lifted his head upwards into the sky which was now in a dark green shade and the two moons have finally risen.
>When we were finally done after one year of constant fighting against these beasts, did we realize that we found a paradies for ourselves.
>No more Nobles no more forced work only a home where we are safe and can continue honing our craft to make the gods notice us.
>The retainers who have expected us to execute them have been given amnesthy for they where just victims and they where our saviours but they refused to stay in our new settlements and swore out of gratitude to become our shadows in the dark.
>Since then have we been living here and we have reeinforced our defenses, especially after that attack from these strange creatures but we are still strong.
The Farseer finally turns around to see that many more have joined the crowd of listeners he speaks now to the mass of soldiers and Artisans his voice now filled with a bitter tone of deep hatred:
>And now the owners of "this" Monstrosity!
He points with his hand back towards the "Host of Dreams"shadowy outline
>Return to us with fear and doubt in theire eyes and tell us that they will help us in exchange for our "protection"!
The Farseer laughs loud and bitterly while the confused people look at one another asking themself if the Farseer has lost it.

Harnon the Shadowed
867 years old

Current Exarch of the Shrine of the Stalking Mists. Current holder of the youngest Exarch of all the Aspect Shrines of Driag-Nahl. Harnon would find his way back into the Stalking Mists after centuries of working through the other Shrines. harnon has always had a deep fascination with warfare ever since a child, his family have traditionally been minor Artisans and farmers for generations with very few joining the Path of War. Harnon is he first of his family to rise to the hallowed ranks of the leaders of Driag-Nahl and is regarded as a good though somewhat aggressive Exarch.

He expects only the best from his fellow Scorpions and the rest of Driag-Nahl. The protection and wellbeing of his home is first and foremost of his thoughts

Gallion the Sailor
1254 years old

Current High Admiral of Dirag-Nahl and nominal leader of the fleets just behind Autach Alandis. Coming from a long line of sailors dating back to the boatswains and sailors of House ****** before the Fall, he is well ingrained with the knowledge, duty and honor of his station. His ancestor was the first High Admiral of Dirag-nahl during it's first millennia.

He considers his job to be fairly boring but important as he is to keep the Fleets in line and up to standard to prevent invasions. The Iron Warrior and Tyranid invasions centuries prior were in his opinion much needed to kick the fleets into high gear and to show them what a Navy is truly for.

>"Lost children" they call us "loyal servants" our "greatest allys" the Nobles act as if we owe them our lives, they think we forgot the whipping, the toe cutting, the branding irons, those who lost the will to live.
>They think I will ever forgot that they took my Sister to the "Host of Nightmares" and feed her to one of these... these things inside this monster while my family cried rivers of tears!
The Farseer agitated by his memorys starts to mumble silent curses and rage filled words no one could understand for a full minute until he regained himself.
>And yet do the Nobles insist that we only meet them inside the Host of ....Dreams they say it gives them comfort and a feel of nostalgia
>but in reality do they want to remind us where our place is that we are the prey and they are the predator, which doesn't work because no predator should fear it's prey inside it's own home unless it knows that it may die.
> I wish I could say that we gut them inside and throw them into the deeper parts the colloseum to either bleed out or be eaten by the monsters of theire own creation but they are useful and we keep them as "allies" and as a defense against these other fools of the lesser houses who somehow survived.
>And for our brothers and sisters from these Craftworlds and this Commorragh place do I hope that they see that the past is gone and that we should march foward towards the future and not always backwards into the past for it's golden light can blind ones eye for it's reality but until the meantime will they help us gain more materials to build more weapons to defend our true home.
The Farseer stomps his armoured boot into the ground infront of the crowd of listeners
He raises his voiced triumphantly:
>For this is the home of the Driag-Nahl The free people which we will defend until either everyone of our enemys has been turned to ash or until the last of us draws his final breath!
And the listeners cheered for the Farseer for he spoke the truth.

3000 Meatshields,

30 Helbrutes,
25 Mutilators,
30 Obliterators,
35 Vindicators,

35 Predators of various builds
1 Questor Traitoris named "Hatred for the Weak",
1 Decimator who just joined us

Personal log:
>Here speaks Kaz'Tun War Smith of the Iron Warriors 76th Grand Company and I must say im suprised
>We expected the land mines, trip wire traps, hidden turrets and murderholes we used the Meatshields to clear out most of them so that our forces could move unhindered towards the settlement.
>We expected the settlement to be evacuated but we thought they would defend it but there where no soldiers.
>Of course where more traps and turrets that took out even some of our troops and many meatshields but we didn't expect that the settlement itself was the trap.
>We lost a fair bit of troops and bikes and even some Rhinos, Vindicators and Predators in the following plasma explosion when the detachment send in there started to search the place for artifatcs.
>These xenos are creative but I think that this won't get worse if we keep up with these kind of losses can we still reach the main settlement and slaughter them all for this cheeky attempt in tricking us.
>But we are still making good progress and are moving through the plains while more traps are being disarmed via the Meat but we will now rest for the night until I can plan something out with the Captain of our cruiser.
>Maybe we find a way to rip the Xenos heart right out in just one quick strike and we can be done here.
>This was Kaz'tun War Smith of the 76th Grand Company signing out for the night.

I think the number of meatshields is too low honestly. maybe if the started at like 400,000. Given the fact they're attacking a Craftworld with a pop likely 100s of millions.

Elven ships in Spelljammer can be a good inspiration for how the Craftworld might look
>>
>>62730051
The more I look at this Driag-Nahl the more I realize how bullshit it would be to attack internally.
>Multiple huls
>Traps as far as the eyes can see
>Numerous manners for the defenders to transport around
>Multiple biomes you'd be fighting across
>Lot's of artillery
>Etc.
I'd like for the CSM

here to realize later that the Eldar had in fact built their Craftoworld *around* something far worse.

And that the Yacht is currently a Spacehulk grade threat that the Eldar periodically wage war against to prevent *things* from rising up and killing them.

>"Hey Duinemen. You going over those Pulsars from Driag-Nahl again? Pretty sure they're in perfect working condition."
>"I know, I know. I'm just... admiring them.
>"Admiring them? Why?"
>"Oh they're just... how can I say it. Wonderous, perfet that sort of way. Compared to our Pulsars attached to the Titans or Scorpions we have now these new ones are just far better. Lighter, more power efficient, improved penetration and even smaller. Makes you wonder how they did it."
>"True. They are amazing, have you checked out the Shuriken Catapults recently? Even the Dire Avengers are gawking over them."
>"Yeah I did. Pretty funny to see them act that way, normally they're so stern and uptight that them cooing over new guns is actually fun."

>Here speaks Kaz'Tun War Smith of the Iron Warriors 76th Grand Company And now im impressed
>During the night while I was discussing with the Captain of the "Bitter Iron" how to optimally approach this place in my defacto command center ( it's was a lousy tent with a vox hailer next time will i demand a worker crew to build me a bunker everywhere i go) did I hear the sounds of gunfire, shouting, explosions and several voices in the Vox screaming for support
>When i ran outside was it a scene of pure Chaos
>not the good kind of Chaos mind you
>The whole camp was burning squads of Havocs , Marines and even Terminators firing blindly in the night while Meatshields ran and screamed while burning alive.
>several explosions being set off in the middle of the vehicle pool while the Knght " Hatred for the Weak" is stomping blindly around, smoke covering it's apparently damaged head. while the Decimator is also stomping around searching for a blown off weapon.
> Mutilators and Obliterators started to attack each other and killing themself and the Meat around in blind rage while in the distance are the agonized screams of destroyed or damaged Helbrutes and Vindicators to be heard.
>It took me 3 hours to calm them down enough so that we could get moving again

>Here speaks Kaz'Tun War Smith of the Iron Warriors 76th Grand company I think I have a picture of what happend during the night
>We are being followed by a Recon team of the Eldar who used the night to set up several turrets around us which blindly fired onto our position.
>The Guards who foolishly followed the Eldar either got ripped apart by more traps or where lead far away from the camp for long enough for the Xenos to reach the camp itself.
>They used bombs to either destroy or damage most of our vehicles and even managed to sneak up on the Knight and the Decimator and planted more bombs on them and they set fire to the fuel supply and directed it towards the meatshield resting place
>The Obliterators and Mutilators agitated by this started to attack each other which resulted in more losses
>These damn Xenos are sabotage experts but those dirty tricks will not work against us anymore I figured them out
>They are weak and the defense of the main Settlement relys on bug bite perimeter defenses combined with bombs
>I could repair the Decimator and the Knight to an acceptable level but we need to bring them back to the ship
>and what is also strange is that the Heldrakes are very silent and we haven't heard them in a while
>We are reaching the jungles now I can already smell the stench of victory this was Kaz'Tun War Smith of the 76th Grand Company of the Iron Warriors signing out.
>>
>Be me, Tirdirion, Ranger of Driag.Nahl
>We're being invaded by Monkeigh slaves of the Ruinous Powers
>Not sure which ones, my superior is much more studied and travelled, something about them being from the "Iron Welders" whatever that means
>There is a lot of them, but we have the advantages in spades.
>We'll let them get in deep enough with only minimal resistance to lull them into a false sense of security
>Last night we finally sprang our first trap, setting up turrets and activating some older lost ones we found, they weren't fit for real battle but we may as well make use of them
>They were running around like headless Dinner Birds, funny
>The ones that ran off into the forest were picked off by the Scorpions, my fellow Rangers or the wildlife and traps
>After that we slinked off in waiting for the Chaos Slaves next move
>I can't wait for the next attack...

>After capturing an Eldar and torturing information out of them we've gained a much more clear picture of the Craftowrld and it's history
>Apparently this Craftworld was *Built around* a Pre-Fall Pleasure Yacht, the likes that whatever was in their would makes a Slaaneshi Marines bow and weep in awe of what could be found within
>These Eldar have building atop of the Yacht, that was originally the size of a small Craftworld for the last 13,000 years give or take, all the while fending off invasions from without like us and much more frequently *Within* from the yacht
>So much so they Awaken their Avatar of Khaine to fend off Abominations

Relax im coming to that part don't worry it will be good and besides this is the first time after the Tyranid invasion that they use the "outer defenses proper
>>
>>62735593
they might even deliberately WANT to keep it around for several reasons:

>test polygon for their latest r'n'd and a gauntlet of sorts for their warriors to prove how skillful they are with using their weapons and gear; because remember, we are artisans first and foremost, and what we lack in combat prowess we compensate with intricate and delicate designs as deadly as they are ornate

>practice to fight the ruinous powers or tyranids or whatever lurks in the depths of once luxurious and decadent yacht; it keeps them sharp and reminds their Deldar allies (and enemies) that no matter how aware are they of their "low" origins, their enemies should be much more aware how furitively their custom warp cannons pound matter into oblivion

>means to vent their frustration in regards to both their enemies and allies and their feelings regarding the Fall of Aeldar, Slaanesh and Rise of Ynnead in general; this might be the place where the main arena is located where their warriors clash with nameless and unborn horrors for the entertainment of their guests, display of force to potential opponents and display of their workmanship to potential buyers
>>

cont.

>source of their doom was in their midst (and of their doing) all along; they are gun nuts. And they are playing with fire. One day, something will go wrong, a prototype weapon will backfire, a champion weapon won't be enough to supplant his lack of skill and all hell will break lose. At the core of the only home they ever had. Ishra help us all that day. Reversal of the "dwarves that dug to deep" theme, this time with elves in their stead.

>the yacht still hides riches untold; maybe some specific materials highly praised by artisans? Gems, jewels or even soulstones? Maybe the yacht was carrying it's master's trove as well...and now the descendants (Deldar) greedily covet it and want it back, though still quiet of their claims, waiting a proper time to exact their right of ownership. Fates willing, the whole Craftworld is their rightful prize.

However I lost the few paragraphs that I was working on and as such have given up on it for now. However tomorrow I have all day off work so maybe then. Also by then we will probably have hit bump limit and in the new OP i'll make a general outline of what we have come up with so far, and then we can vote on what to keep and what to cut out.

And before I go, to give you guys some direction, perhaps we should focus on defining a symbol for our craftworld, and maybe finally getting a drawfag to paint some of our warriors in a few of the proposed color pallets.

Most of the relations with other Craftworlds has historically been secondhand for Driag-Nahl. While there have been envoys sent back and forth, very light immigration and what not. It has largely been out of the way between them.

Biel-Tan: Driag-Nahl has historically held the imperialistic Craftworld in contempt, the recent breaking and fracturing of the once mighty Craftworld has done little to change this. Their actions remind Driahg-Nahl far too much of the Pre-Fall Empire.

Ulthwe:

Saim-Hahn:

Iyanden:

Alaitoc: Fairly similar in relations to Biel-Tan. Their attitude towards not only Xenos but even other Aeldari is offputting to the Craftsworld.

Anyone have ideas?
>>
>>62739474
Thoughts on important Aeldar:

Maugan-Ra: His mutilation of the weaponsmith who created Maugetar is seen as an affront to all the citizens of Driag-Nahl. Apparently this event caused a very slow acceptance of the Dark Reaper Shrine among the populace and are still seen with wariness. Many fear what would happen if Maugan-Ra were to step onto Driag-Nahl for a new piece of equipment...

Asuryan: Fairly similar to other Aeldar, they see him as a beacon for the Aeldari as a whole and the rightful leader of their peoples.

Yvraine: Seen in a fairly good light given her being the herald of Ynnari. Her past as a Kabalite/Commoraghite was met with some trepidation.

Poor fool. Their are so many wonders to be seen within the Yacht...

I always imagined the Yacht as starting out as a "Small" Craftworld and only got bigger. The outer shell that is now Driag-Nahl is in reality around an average Craftworld but it just seems like the biggest to ever exist.
>>
>>62739970
>Be me, Hormen, Striking Scorpion scout searching the outer layer of the Yavht
>Not the most glamporous job and actually fairly dangerous
>Heard we've been invaded a few days ago and just recently that the invaders have been broken and are now leaderless, ripe for the pickings of our Rangers and Scorpions
>Not me though. Someone's gotta patrol the Oter Yacht layer and check to see if any holes have been made by the Abominations
>There's one, but it looks like it was carved... In? Not out like they should be.
>This seems odd. Was it a Horror that escaped sometime earlier and has now tried and succeeded to get back in? Is it making more holes for the Things to escape through?
>Report to Patrol Station of my findings and lay down some sensore/comm casters just in case nad head back along with my Patrol group ASAP
>We don't want to be around if something gets out

>Be me, Alandis, Autarch of Driag-Nahl
>Surveying and going over the damage/loss of life after this recent Chaos Invasion
>Overall we got off pretty lightly all things considered
>We only lost around 12 lives (Far too many still we'll have to improve our defenses and response times) with twice that in injuries
>Virtually all the Chaos force has been wiped out with some stragglers/holdouts still popping up here and there
>Will have to cut this log short, our "Allies" are arriving soon for a meeting
>Something to do with a message from Vecht of all people
>I hope it isn't a Black Hole in a box
>>
Given that Driag-Nahl has been under construction for over 10,000 years, do you think it is possible for their to be just vast wastes of empty space and such? Or could they start making another Craftworld?
>>
>>62741455
How about the Yachts appearance? We try our best but I for an example am not so well versed on Eldar ship design but I can already think that the insides have turned into something like the Event Horizon or a Space Hulk.
With warp influences coming from still active gates that are behind closed off sections and stuff like non corporeal demons or hallucinations regulary appear in some of the deeper parts while others are just eerily empty and yet still in a pristine condition, or other parts that are just overrun by masses of flesh beasts that have been created via experimenting with the local fauna and some Eldar from the Croneworld that just become worse and worse with every generation breeding down there.
And who knows what else they captured and tortured until it was turned savage and locked for an eternity.
Meanwhile are there also maybe things like Spiritstones, some Wraiths , tanks or even a Wraithknight , some weapon schematics , weapons from other xeno races maybe even very exotic materials that all could still be inside which make it worth having it still on the planet and having patrols and exterminators inside to keep the flesh beast population in check, the sealed doors inspected and doing some maintenance for the traps.
But the risk is still that one sealed door accidentaly opens to a gate to the realm of She who Thirsts.
Still though one concept that I like is that they have walled it off like once they went out they just build a ring of walls around it and put as many cannons as they could just to keep everything inside and they not only did it to remove the memorys but also the danger that the Yacht brings and they built the main settlement just far away to be safe but not too far away to not have an eye on it.
In other Words the Yacht is like the Zone in Stalker.
>>
>>62742481
Haven't thought of the Yacht much. That all sounds perfect. I still love previous idea of the Craftowrld waking their Avatar to face off vs whatever horrors tries to get out. There are probably even the occasional Daemon invasions from the inside too. Many Craftworlds are probably in awe of Driag-Nahl since they've been in constant war against the inside of their craftworld for millennia and are actually less skilled against fighting things from without than within.
>>
>>62742481
The Yacht was in the past decorated as garish and beautiful as possible to reflect it's House origins. In the modern age much of it's decorations have fallen into disarray through entropy. Their are still places left untouched somehow. Many of the wonderous landmarks have fallen into ruin by simple wear and tear or the machinations of the Horrors that dwell within.

Forests and gardens have mutated by evolution and Warp energies, becoming far more deadly than their genewrights would ever imagine. Toxic swamps filled with deadly gas, creatures that defy common sense. All these and more.

Vast wastes exist within with not a soul to be found. It is said that Daemons wage war against eachother from palaces formed from corpses.

And all this happens under the feet of those inhabiting Driag-Nahl...
>>
In short, the innermost portions of the Yacht have little to differentiate themselves from Spacehulks or in some cases Daemonworlds. This makes mapping and understanding it an effort in futility leading to the rise of a growing section of the population to find a way to remove the Yacht from Driag Nahl somehow.

Whether this is by way of a slow build process to open a passage for it to be extreted or even peeling layers like an fruit none are to sure as of now. Some have even considered the construction of a new
Craftworld if possible.

Since the creation of the Inner Layers of Driag-Nahl, the populations of them have undergone continuous emigration away from them to put distance between them and the Yacht. While this emigration has largely ended with the overall final layer, there are huge tracts of land and ruins that remain within the inner layers ripe for exploration and picking.

I realized Driag-Nahl would also have the best damn Engineer Corp in the galaxy bar none. They've been fortifying and building their Craftowrld from the ground up for over 10k years without stop.

Not sure of a good name for this vehicle but it is to cover a sorely lacking field of the Eldar: Non LOS Artillery

Based on the Falcon chassis like many vehicles, the ******* main weapon is derived from an enlarged Shuriken Cannon meant to launch larger/denser projectiles over an arc to strike targets.

In TT it can pack different ammo for different targets but it's base munition has a small (3in) blast radius but high damage/AP
>>
>>62670715
Looking back this post is funny given the track record most of Driag-Nahl's invaders have had.

"Unbowed, Unbent, Unconquered!"
-Motto of Driag-Nahl Armed Forces
>>
>>62730051
Inner Layer
Largely abandoned due to Emigration over the millennia. The majority of the population comes from Military units assigned to patrol and hold the inner layer.

Middile Layer
Fairly populated as of currently, still holds the most of the population due to being in the sweet spot. It is far enough from the Core and the outer layer which could be breached by invaders.

Outer Layer
Holds the rest of the Population due to land grants and Emigration incentives/new families. See themselves as rugged frontiersmen settling the land and preparing for the long haul of the next layer construction.

That took far too long, sorry.

So each craft world has a special place to put soul stone into so that they may join the Infinity circuit, right? Where do you think Driag Nahl puts their dead?

You don't think its in the Yatch, do you? :^)
>>
>>62747347
I hope to the gods not. Then they'd be literally at perpetual war trying to keep the Infinity Circuit alive. Maybe they built a new one?

Temple of Vaul

While all of the Eldar Pantheon is worshipped accordingly among the people of Driag-Nahl, Vaul holds a special place of worship and admiration among them. The Path of the Artisan has deep connections to the priesthood of Vaul historically even Pre-Fall.

The Temple itself is quite possibly the largest and most splendid examples of the worship of the Smith God among the Craftworlds, alongside the Grand Temple Garden of Isha found on Aylis-Natsurcane. Spanning numerous kilometers, many classes and forges on Wraithbone and smithing can be found with students and adherents learning and working diligently.

This probably would lead to a special Bonesinger unit in TT, being more effective in general. They'd be able to heal Wriathbone constructs from range and more at once.

Well I need to sleep.

I'll change a bit on Alandis due to the piece I wrote about Driag-Nahl's view on Maugan-Ra.

She didn't start with the Dark Reapers, she actually went into the Dire Avengers and would go through other Shrines before returning once more to train and become an Exarch of the Shrine. It was sometime after that she defeated the Hive Tyrant with her Arrows and become Autarch afterwards.
>>
Summary post?
>>
>>62747648
A little more

Aspect Shrines of Driag-Nahl have darker color schemes than typical to reflect their Craftworld. Generally this means at least one shade darker, though two is not uncommon. Some come off looking almost black (SS, DR)

Even their Whites are darker/duskier this includes the Guardians/non Aspect Warriors

And then our writefags took it and fucking ran straight out of the solar system with it.

I try to help with more details.
Pre Fall and survival:
These guys had been the Artisan arms industry slaves for a bunch of noble asshole Eldar who ruled the Croneworld from where they originated and they survived the Fall by using a pleasure Yacht called the "Host of Dreams" that was left there while the nobles either died on the planet or survived because some of them had a party in the webway, and so the Slaves used it as a quasi Craftworld to just get somewhere safe.
The problem though is that the Yacht was already before the Fall a mix between the ship Event Horizon + Ted Bundys S&M dungeon, Rapture from Bioshock, and a hint of Moria (The Dwarf Mine from LotR) all in pre Fall Aeldari design and it only got worse with demons now coming out.
And it was pretty much the place where the Slaves family members where taken there as an ultimate punishment for dissapointing the Nobles.
The former Retainers of the ship (personal slaves for the nobles) and Artisan slaves just sealed everything that was not needed or dangerous off during the travel trough the void + they crafted weapons and armour and placed dozens of traps inside as a safety measure and as a sort of prayer to the gods who couldn't listen to them.
They crash landed on a jungle planet and just shot the everyloving crap out of the monsters inside the ship that decided to come out and they build a wall during that time around the innermost layer of the Yacht with lot's and lot's of cannons and even more traps for over a year until they could finally get out and build a settlement.
Because most of them where Artisans first and foremost did they focus on more weapons and defenses and dabbling in R&D by mixing some weapons and armours and how to improve the quality of said armaments while the former Retainers became Rangers that would work as the first line of defense by recon and spy work.
>>
>>62747857
After the Fall:
The Driag-Nahl Craftworld was founded on the planet( somehwere in the Ultima sector) with the first plan being to migrate away from the Yacht to have a safety buffer bewteen them and the horrors inside but the Yacht had valuable materials, super heavy vehicles, many kinds of Wraiths and even weapon schematics that could be used and some still normal functioning webway portals so the Retainers who became the Rangers decided to go there and either find stuff or use the webway portals to get information about the changing universe while also risking theire lives which kind of turned into the concept of the Yacht acting as a kind of Zone from Stalker for Driag-Nahl.
The Artisans who migrated out of the Yacht Layer by Layer where already kinda paranoid after these inidents and even avoided contact by fellow CWE by just observing so they where left alone building more and better weapons and armour with the Rangers being the only aspect that they had until a bunch of SS popped out of one of the webway portals and the Driag-Nahl rescued them from the horrors inside so the SS decided to set shop and help them out and became the first contact after millenia that they had.
Then came a Tyranid Invasion in the 38th millenium which they kinda survived but it made them go full /k/ommando Vietcong mode because they think something worse will now arrive from outside so they turned the entire planet into a deranged Deathtrap with turrets, decoy bombs and murderholes everywhere and Rangers with SS patrolling the planet.
This is helped by the fact that the planet has not only mostly jungle but also some other biomes like plains, hills, seas, deserts etc. all used to defend from ground invasions but they are lacking in "good" orbital defenses.
But the main settlement is the main defense focus with tons of mastercrafted artillery positions and rebuild or rediscovered super heavy vehicles and even custom made lobster Wraiths for fallen SS.
>>
>>62752772
Rediscovery:
The first Kabal encounter was by members of a lesser house of Nobles from the same Croneworld who wanted to take over the rule of the planet and kill the ruling house and the Slaves but the Fall ruined the plan and they fleed to Commorragh only to meet the ruling nobles who survived there too and started an endless war in the streets against the former rulers.
They found the Slaves by accident and wanted to wipe them out just for revenges sake but they got interrupted by the former Slave owners who stopped the invasion that was already going poorly.
The former owners first thinking they won the lottery found out that the former Slaves are packing lot's of heat so they decided to be friendly but still try to remind them of the Driag-Nahls place by only conducting diplomacy inside the Yachts "safe" zones as neutral ground which pisses the Driag-Nahl off because they consider themself as free people.
But they use the Kabal as away to finally contact other CWE and Commorragh itself and so they became a neutral ground for both factions where they would trade surplus from Driag-Nahls Armory or even order custom works in exchange for exotic and rare materials for arms manufacturing and slaves for weapon testing.
And thanks to the tyranid Invasion was the production of armaments turned into a proto industry with focuses on craftmanship and effectiveness but not much on mass production.
This turned them into the go to weapon dealers and R&D department for both groups and gave them good connections with the Ynnari who the Driag-Nahl consider a ray of hope to survive the future.

>>
>>62753195
They were 'Redicovered' in M38 so them fighting off all manner of Human/Chaos invaders would make good practice for beating the Splinter Fleet. Recently in M41-M42.
>>
>>62752504
>>62752772
>>62753084

So at this point they're essentially glorified Exodites, sitting on a glorified sex dungeon, on a glorified Catachan?
>>
>>62753643
Don't know where the whole 'landed on a jungle world' came from I prefer the versions where they were at a defensive war against the Yacht while building the Craftworld around it.
>>
>>62753747
I can't say which version I prefer. The Catachan thing wasn't a knock against them, just my trying to distill the idea. Maybe they did have an adhoc craft world, but these nibbas >>62739966 fuck their shit up, forcing them to crash land on a planet in m41. The BLAM! tier jumble of a craft world prepared them for the jungle, so they did fine.

Those guys are still going at it? Good for them. They are a recent Behemoth offshoot so it could work. Would that make Driag-Nahl close to the Hadex?

>I told everyone coming here would be nothing but trouble. But does anyone listen to the Farseer? Nooooooo. *Kills Termagaunts with Witch Halberd*
>>
I have to imagine this "craftworld" has to have a unique relationship with Vaul/Khaine considering they were weapon makers
>>
>>62755739
I wrote up some stuff for Vaul and Khaine earlier. Vaul has the likely largest Temple among the Craftworlds on Driag-Nahl. And Khaine gets presents from the Artisans to use in battle
>>
>>62755785
I would imagine the relationship is overwhelmingly negative with Khaine, with only a few mad lads paying lip service because they like effects of their work a little too much
>>
>>62756262
True. The whole thing where Khaine tried to murder the Eldar and imprisoned Vaul and all probably still rankles them. The mad lads would enjoy their work and Khaine really enjoys the gifts they give him.
>>
>>62756300
Hall of Khaine

Following the beginning of the Tradition of forging and presenting gifts to the Avatar Khaine, the temple has grown a fair amount over the millennia to house the gifts.

Weapons and various pieces are crafted for the Avatar's use as it sees fit. Axes, Bows, Hammers and even Chariots can be found within. They are periodically replaced with improved versions or even different pieces all together. The Avatar rarely chooses more than a handful at a time meaning most go unused.

They are all appropriately to scale for the Avatar's usage and could only be used by the larger variety of Wraith with any modicum of effectiveness.
>>
Should we start up the 1d4chan page? Before it gets lost.
>>
>>62756755
Absolutely. I would do it, but I am a mobile nibba
>>
>>62756779
We should write some more and then I'll save the thread on suptg. Then if anyone want's to make the page it can happen.

Whereas most Eldar armies are highly mobile washing over their opponents like waves of blades. The armies of Driag-Nahl are rather stationary with emplacements and superheavy tanks forming the core supported by Guardians and support elements. They use Rangers, SS and Fliers/Jetbikes, Warp Spiders and the like to herd and corral enemies to shatter them upon the anvil.
>>
So going off the Hive Fleet Atlas/Hecate thread we're situated near the Hadex and are currently engaged with a Fleet that has learned of how to Warp Travel. Now it is a race against time and space themselves to eradicate this Splinter from rejoining the rest of the Tyranids.

>Inb4 The Eldar and Imperials join up in one massive crusade putting aside their differences to prevent the Game Over Button
>>
I was wrong, just Webway travel. Not really any better. It's actually worse since there is less chance for Daemons to pop out of Tyranids. But the size they can get out is more limited in general
>>
>>62669954
It is saved on suptg if anyone wants to take a gander
>>
So wait, I'm confused

What's the timeline with the pleasure ship (I hate the term yatch)?

>Slaves steal it during the fall and YEET away to safety
>It gets filled with horrible shit from the warp and sex dungeons.
>Build a psuedo craft world around the ship, mostly to get away from the horrible shit
>Nids hit the place, they get YEETED
>DEldar hit the place, they get YEETED
>Nids hit the place again, we get YEETED
>Crash land into a jungle planet, we exodite now

Right?
>>
>>62758609
DEldar happened before the Tyranids. The Tyranids happened very recently.

Not sure still about the Jungle planet though. I prefer the layered craftworld built around the Pleasure Ship
>>
>>62758609
From the Nids threads they only attacked once
>Slaves steal it during the fall and YEET away to safety
>It gets filled with horrible shit from the warp and sex dungeons.
>Build a psuedo craft world around the ship, mostly to get away from the horrible shit
>The Craftworld grow
>Get found by DEldar, ennemy and "allies"
>Recently demon try to invade from the inside of the Yatch -like every monday- but they are pursued by Hive-Fleet Atlas
>Atlas swarm them and try to attack from the inside, but Autarch Alandis manage to slay the Glittering King, the Hive Tyrant leading the assault
>Present time ?
>>
>>62758991
What do you think the Avatar was doing? Probably riding on it's Jetbike running bugs over
>>
>>62759015
Since the assault was sudden, what with Atlas being good at digging trough shit, maybe the duel took place before the Avatar could be awakened ?
>>
>>62759069
>I didn't think the Avatar could get ANGRIER

>>
>>62759346
Pretty proud of us all. And we had more than 10 posters compared to similar threads.
>>
>>62758887
Wynaut both? Could have the craft world as a moon to the jungle planet, with the aspect temples and such on the craft world, keeping it safe, and the planet as a sort of regular place.

>>62758991
I think Nids should attack at least twice. In the Hecate thread the Nids get YEETED the first time, which is ironically what saves them from the fall of Behemoth and the death of the Norn Queen. The second time is what makes the Absolute Unit of Malan'tai. Or at least sets of the series of pyrovore tier experiments that end with the Thicclad of Many Tellyports, with the emergence of the Cicatrix Maledictum forcing the hive mind to stop fucking around and nab their Webway.
>>
>>62759485
I like the moon idea. The Pleasure ship was around a small craftworld in size and they only added to it.

Good reasoning on the Nids

So should we make a 2nd thread? I have to get home soon so I won't be posting for aroun an hour or more.
>>
>>62758887
okay so maybe no jungle planet I have to admit that when I wrote that shit was I kinda confused if the jungle was inside or outside the Craftworld because like I once said im not sure how the whole craftworld thing works so can somebody who has some deeper lore knowledge help out with that or maybe we use this idea>>62759485
had?
But I hope we keep that it's not just jungle bioms but just mostly and that they have some other smaller artifical bioms on board just to make it cozy.
The layers are a good concept and makes sense just to get the fuck away from the hell inside and the thought that the Eldar are not really sure how to proceed with the "core" that is just pretty much a mini spacehulk that results in 5 outcomes when you open an unmarked door.
1.Nothing
2. Sex dungeons
3. whatever the fuck the nobles did in that thing ( I say that fleshbeast experiments should be part of what lurks inside because just demons is kinda boring but fleshbeasts and demons waging and eternal war how does that sound?)
4.Hell portal
5. loot, treasures, weapons, materials and other swanky shit
But them near the Hadex isn't that a bit too much?
Oh and the thread crossover is a nice idea
>>
>>62759608
They're 'nearby' Hadex by around several warp jumps close. So the two interact by way of fighting
>>
>>62759485
Atlas/Hecate didn't interact with the eldar before recently I think ? They where mainly sleeping deep beneath the earth after the defeat of Behemoth, and awakened recently. They had their assault with the Autarch slaying the Hive Tyrant, but I don't think they managed to attack again (Craftworld aren't exactly easy to reach, especially for a Hive-Fleet low on space organism like Atlas/Hecate -they only managed it the first time after following/hunting/fighting demon)
>>
>>62759967
They'd have to regain biomass and to start building towards the Empyrean Worm
>>
>>62760153
From the summary of their thread, they are large in number, but dispersed on the world of the sector because their fleet is low/still asleep where there got into hiding.
>>
>>62759346
Because this is not the story of some demigods who we're born ready for war nor the story of some trained soldiers who are ready to die.
This is the story some poor people who had enough of being pushed around by destiny and decided to smash destinys face in with the tools of their trade.
These people do not see the Fall as a bad thing but as a new beginning and they will be damned to just let some fucker kill them because he/ she/ it says so and they will not accept to go back in the past and become slaves again.
This is the story of Craftworld Driag-Nahl who tell the End that they have seen worse and that it can try get past all the traps, turrets, artillery, tanks and chainswords.
