Not original OP, I make the thread because thread 3 reached its limit and I don't see the new one, apologies if it already exists.
Previous threads:
>>65965351
>>65977935
>>65998356
Where we left, we had done a good deal of creating a Necron faction (endangered and with a former lower-class Necrontyr as an overlord). We were also progressing with our CSM warband and there is still to do with the Orks.
Pic related is the hero of the necron army.

Swiggity swooty, I'm coming for that shooty

Yep. I think I'll go to sleep, I'll see tomorrow how the Necrons turned up. Don't forget to give them a name!
>>
>>66035693
And that's the third thread archived.
I have just one question: How the fuck do we keep the Mechanicus off this planet? Hell, the plant and animal life alone would make any Magos blast sacred oils all over the inside of his robe on sight.
>>
>>66035855
Space Marines-held planets tend to have a greater autonomy than most, besides Mechanicus presence is technically ensured by Techmarines, who then work with the flora in the best interests of the Chapter.
>>
>>66032310
>They ply the sector and trade things.
I think I like this idea, after all they are understrength so they need to be more careful out of instinct of survival. Plus, the overlord not being an actual noble, he probably doesn't share the boundless arrogance of many other overlords.
According to the book of Fate (Black Crusade RPG), the necron weapons are difficult to find, non-weapon artifacts even more so, but not completely impossible. This necron folk would feed a black market more active than in most places, maybe not trading ancient technological marvels but at least Gauss and tesla weaponry.

>A Legion Warband
>Slaaneshi since nothing else will fit and EC
>Neutral. The warband believes Chaos to be more of a tool than something to be worshipped, serving the dark Gods when it benefits them.
>Daemonhood is Godhood - Despite X'anathor's failings he's still the most powerful among them and they want similar power
>Desecrate and Defile. They have an especially deep hatred of relics/idols depicting Daemon banishment

X’anathor

>The figure is remembered as a scourge of the Imperium, having ravaged many planets and slaughtering servants of the Emperor aplenty. Very fitting, he probably focuses on the Verano sector which has further hardened the inhabitants
>Perhaps X'anathor orginally ascended during the Horus Heresy when the Children were going full ham? If we want to integrate the Titan Legio we could say that he was the source of the corruption that claimed some of them during the Scouring and reconquest. Maybe have him get a win for once.
>he just gets so pissed off that he just goes "Fuck it, I'm calling my titans" and wants to just burn the entire sector to ash. thats amazing actually

Orks

>Propa' Klan - The xenos appear to have a semblance of organization about them, they behave consistently in ways that indicate an actual klan as opposed to mere freebooters.
>Yellow (flashiest) - For some reason that surely only makes sense in the mind of a xeno, the Orks of this klan paint themselves yellow.

I think that few human-produced high-tech goods would interest the Necrons. However, manpower in bulk could be something they lack, be it as builders, workers or even a militia and this is the strong point of the Imperium.
Raw resources can also be an option.

Just some random, near-gibberish thoughts I had for the CSM. I'm calling them the Pale Gallantry for now, but that might be too bland. Make of it what you will, could use some help tweaking stuff around.

Their homeworld I'd imagined as fairly Frostpunk-esque, little pockets of life clustered around the industrial foundries and mining mega machines that stave off the cold. Each little city is effectively a fief of one of the Gallants, often having their own little disputes or alliances between themselves while providing materiel for the warband. The world sits near the edge of a tendril of unstable space, enough to wreck the planet's ecosystem and increase the mutation rates amongst the human populace but still mistakable for a more typical Imperial world.

The Gallantry itself is loosely organised into a rough form of feudalism, every marine ultimately serving the Daemon Prince X'anathor, but those closer to ascension themselves claiming rank and vassalage over lower marines, leaning on favour from the Deamon Prince to secure their right. Incohesive clusters of allegiance within the warband, each acting to the whims of the leading Gallantry, and ostensibly to the whims of X'anathor, rather than a unified mass.

Considerable involvement of human serfs as aides, equerries, and occasionally as disposable troops. Ruling marines ride as cavalry on Chaosy equines, using shrieking lances (modified Blastmasters? Lascannons? Ether Lances?), while lower ranked marines either follow as a coterie of lighter cavalry with whatever preferred ranged weapon, or as ground infantry if they aren't particularly favoured. The warband has several smaller voidships, each the claimed demesne of a few Gallants at most, but no capital-sized ships.

Not sure what would be interesting for the Psyker cult.

>did Sidon have a Skitarii legion ?

>>
>>66041694

>>
>>66044270
Jeeze I didn't even think of that. That's actually a good idea.
>Daemons suddenly jumping off to get into melee as the Titans guns eradicate city blocks
>>
>>66045930
I like "Gallantry", but we already have two "pale" in the titan legions. Hwo about something to do with sound? Like "

I will try to augment your ideas, I hope you won't mind.

How about a rogue planet flying through the void, long flung out of his solar system by a gravquake? It is unbearably cold due to the lack of a sun. The entire planet is like Antarctica, except at the places where the gravquake cracked the crust, creating volcanos, geothermal vents and similars. These spots provide heat to both stave off the cold and power the industries. The lava is processed into raw materials for the geoforges.

The feudalism based on those closer to ascension lording over others is great. It may provide us with an army which is the Chaos equivalent of Bretonnia, a few gallant and mighty space knights and their masses of disposable serfs and thralls.

"Shrieking Lances" sounds great. I favor them being a sort of sound cannon.

Agree on the several smaller voidships. Raider hulls.

The psyker cult may be made up of people which embrace the cold and wander off into the icy wastes, returning as a sort of mad prophet lich/mummy capable of congealing your soul.

I like these ideas, thanks. I was aiming for the chevalier stylings, but obviously as Chaos marines there's a lot of backstabbing, degeneracy, and overall brutality inherent to the lifestyle. Snide courtly manners when the Prince himself calls for council, but not-so-veiled hostility between the favoured Gallants, as one's ascension draws from the others' attentions. Gallant only in name, or as an amusing affectation.
>>

I think X'anathor would have prove that the name he liked the most was the right one.
He can t be that incompetent ... or can he ?
Anyway if they do everything for serve him, obeying any of is orders and whims that shouldn t be a problem. Afterall X'anathor is High King of (what s the name of the planet ?), they will obey or worse.

Plus he will probably let them keep the names of their minor gallantry as is vassals.

Here, details from the warband's planet. Speaking of it, we need a name for it.

>The Helnest is a fusion of volcanic caldera and warpgate, into which dozens of people and xenos are sacrificed daily. From it emerge the heldrakes which the warband tames into submission as mounts.

>The X’arforge is the manufactorum controlled by X’anathor. The latter infected the whole structure with the Obliterator Virus, turning the factory into an industrial-scale womb whose many mouths suck raw magma and heat from the planet’s depths. The X’arforge alone births half of the warband’s materiel.

>The X’atelier is a titanic and ever growing cathedral of corruption. This is where the warband brings the countless relics and idols it plunders from imperial planets. Those very items are smashed into fragments from which grand mosaics are created, each detailing in detail the destruction of the planet from which the very same relics and idols came. The glue that keeps such art pieces together is made from human fluids.

But like he said they should be few that use them, probably only the dukes are able (as they posses the experience and powers for control them, and large fiefs for feed enough daily slaves to this beasts). Overview

>Originally a warrior lodge within the Emperor’s Children Legion, the Violet Gallantry was corrupted by Slaanesh and fought for Horus during the Horus Heresy. It splintered from the legion after the Battle of Harmony under the leadership of the X’anathor the Shining, which became a Daemon Prince in M35. Following this event, the whole warband now seeks to achieve daemonhood and the god-like power it gives them. For them, Chaos is a means for an end, not an end on itself.

>The Gallantry’s hierarchy is loosely organized along feudal ties of vassalage. X’anathor the Shining is the High King, riding the Heldrake ?, owning the better lands, ships and industries; below him come the dozen Dukes, each a powerful champion approaching daemonhood, riding the rare warp gryphons; after them come the hundred Counts, veterans of a hundred raids and battles, riding manticores; the rest of the chaos marines are Gallants, each holding a small fief and riding demonic horses. This organization leads to clusters of allegiance within the warband, each acting to the whims of their leader, and ostensibly to the whims of X’anathor, being anything but a disciplined and cohesive force. To show their power, each rank progressively marks their arms and armor with more gaudy and grotesque ornaments, from lacquered plate and curved cuirasses to toothed codpieces and psychedelic-colored ridges.
>>
>>66061296
I can see the Lodge they formed out of being based heavily around chivalric ideals which has become heavily corrupted since then owing to their current state.

On X'anathor, maybe he started his Warband because Fulgrim's hedonism and inaction disgusted him as he doesn't improve himself? To X'anathor, the journey to ultimate power is a worthy cause

Overview 2/2

>In battle, the Violet Gallantry starts by whispering in their twisted voices which can be heard from far away. The enemy hears only the cawing of birds, but feels a chill upon their souls and a blow in their morale. The High King, Dukes and Counts fight as a demonic heavy cavalry, discharging Shrieking Lances from afar, seeking the weak points of the enemy line on the battlefield. The Gallants fight as infantry, using whatever weapons they prefer. Their thralls and serfs man the artillery and vehicles, pounding the foe with enough ordinance to create a field of craters. Their allies are deployed only if the High King deems necessary, for resorting to magic and titans is a blow to their pride.

>The Shrieking Lances are a weapon unique to the Gallantry. Based on stolen and reverse engineered Eldar sonic weaponry, substituting the wraithbone for a fleshier warp-metal. These weapons vibrate with excitement at the prospect of shattering anything and anyone. Upon hitting a foe, the Lances not only inflict pain but all types of sensations: fear, pleasure and even happiness are possible. The High King himself wields the original Lance, an Eldar Vibro Cannon fused to a bound demon.

That makes sense. Fulgrim lost himself to the decadence and pleasures of Slaanesh, he forgot all about the endless journey towards perfection.
>>
>>66061461
Given the fact that the plant and animal life here consumes metal, I'd say that there probably aren't a lot of necrons present, and those that are would probably be incredibly reclusive.

Wheren t the necrons on another planet instead of the space marines predators one ?
But .... maybe metal plants and animals are "common" in the sector Venaro ?
>>
>>66065170
So other planets could have similar species.
>>
>>66065170
My suggestion (>>66065119) doesn't require it, but that could be an interesting fact about the Venaro Sector which puzzles Imperial scholars.
>>
I can see a number of planets in the sector having similar 'metal eating' forests due to smuggling, stupid nobles and curious Mechanicus. Not to the extent of the Pred's world but it isn't hard to find them

So what still needs doing, fluff-wise? I'm kind of hitting a wall with my Gallantry stuff, so maybe doing something else will help.

>>66065730
Hmmm. Maybe some battles or characters?

This.

And adding some more description of other factions (orks and necrons) or relevant planets.

We could make other factions too, like an eldar one but maybe is better to finish this necrons first .

Or we go for it ?

I once suggested that Alaitoc has been helping the Predators by launching attacks that end up leading them to plots set in motion by the Pale Gallantry. That could do.
>>
>>66066375
Where is Altaioc currently? Maybe they're where the Gallantry got the Sonic Lances?

So Eldar forces in the sector are elements of Altaioc that are actually aiding the Imperials against Chaos ? That's pretty odd but fitting for how eird this sector is

Alaitoc is known for having agents across the galaxy according to the wiki, so if someone would back that up I'd be very grateful.

Tried to make some 3d Models for a Dark Eldar Thread, but that one died and hasn't come back. Was a fun one though, we did Arrogant Nobility Archon-Pirate who turned an Imperial Space Cathedral into his own void ship/space castle.

>Frontier World: A newly discovered, newly settled, poorly-explored world that's a bit rough around the edges. Usually, inhabitants must fend for themselves while their sponsor world focuses on other matters.
Watch out for Will Smith cos we're in the wild wild west now. Under-developed and under-explored, there's plenty of unknowns that could be buried here.

Roll 2d10

>>66069602
Or 1d100 again if you want to reroll I suppose.

That sounds pretty cool, unlucky about the thread dying. How detailed are we talking here? There's probably something interesting to be done with the Gallantry (Chaos Cavalry) or maybe the Nazi Sisters, but that might require some work.

Primitive models of more advanced weapons, like plasma and needle weapons, are rare but present.
Oh man. We've still got some decent tech floating around from when the Imperial presence was first established, and from whatever the few bastions of humanity can make.

I mean, why re-make the wheel? The Kabal was pretty cool as it was, and as they were space pirates, have nothing outside of Commoragh that they really tied to them... Except a hatred of Orks, which could work very well here:
https://boards.fireden.net/tg/thread/66032347/
SUMMARY
>Our Archon is of an ancient and noble house from before the Fall
>He is Arrogant and Ambitious
>His Kabal is largely formed up of thrill seekers
>Has a [fudge]ing SEETHING hatred of all Psykers that has filtered down to the Kabal as a whole
>His base is a captured and repurposed Void Cathedral ship. Now operates from it
>Preferred Tactic is capture and slave taking
>He owns several ship docks in Commorragh
>Bikes are a big thing in the Kabal. Biker Pirate Knights.
>The Kabal's Main foe atm is some Kult of Speed Pirate Orks(There can be only one!!!!)
>Current Sorta Friends is a Wych Cult
The Kult of Speed thing just made sense, it was Biker Pirate Knight Thrillseekers. I'm sure we could come up with a similar reason for this Kabal to hate your Orks.

>>66069651

>>
>>66070215
A token presence of Astra Telepathica, Administratum, and Inquisition.
There might only be a single hub of Astropaths who can make phone calls on the entire planet; only a few legitimate medical facilities, commissariats , or clerks taking census; and an Inquisitor or two poking their noses in looking for trouble.

The next few rolls aren't super interesting, so just give me 1d100 for planet size, 1d100 for length of day, and 1d100 for number of satellites. 3d100 in total.

And are we set on the naming conventions for the Gallantry? I feel like just giving them basically Brettonian titles is a little lazy.

That's a big ol planet, huh, full of lost secrets and hidden artefacts. Doesn't really matter what these specifics are, so to save rolls we'll just average it out to about 6 per roll.

I don't really have any interesting alternatives, but I just feel like if the titles are saying "Oh they ride on mounts lets just call them Brettonia" then it kind of takes away from their nature as Chaos. Stuff like Lord and Prince are fine I think, maybe they just take personalised titles instead of conforming to a standard nomenclature.

>Tell me more about this Chaos Calvalry though?

>The Gallantry’s hierarchy is loosely organized along feudal ties of vassalage. X’anathor the Shining is the High King, riding the Heldrake X’arnac, owning the better lands, ships and industries; below him come the dozen Dukes, each a powerful champion approaching daemonhood, riding Heldrakes; after them come the hundred Counts, veterans of a hundred raids and battles, riding manticores; the rest of the chaos marines are Gallants, each holding a small fief and riding demonic horses.

>In battle, the Howling Gallantry starts by whispering in their twisted voices which can be heard from far away.

>>
>>66071615

ah no i don t see you sperging, you haven t do anything like that. And you make another good point with being more creative and the fact of lower marines not deserving leading titles, but just rank.

>Tyrannical Dictator: The dictator has illegally seized power, and often rules with a bloody fist as they purge or 'disappear' the planet's dissidents, political enemies, scapegoats of the day, and anyone who poses a threat to the tyrant's ambitions. This brand of leadership can be the result of a warlord, a particularly psychotic heir, or even, distressingly often, a rogue democratic leader who played the long game and finally made his move. After all, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, and is absolutely sought by the absolutely corrupt.

>The warband’s feudal hierarchy results in everyone acquiring ships by themselves, eager to add naval firepower to their personal domains. As a result, the Gallantry has a ragtag fleet of Escort-sized hulls, ranging from Armed Freighters to Raiders, but no Capital Ships. X’anathor himself owns a wolf-pack of Idolator hulls, while a few gallants pool their resources to buy or steal a single ship, enabling them to raid and pirate on their own.

Despite the planet's harsh climate and desolate landscape, there are still animals that manage to sustain themselves. Their exotic hides and other bodily materials fetch quite a price on the open markets, but some say that they can be used for something far more interesting, which has caught the attention of neighbouring factions eager to exploit them.

so let s see :

High King : X’anathor has given himself a title that can dare to the great titles used by great chaos lords ....... a move that let everyone see is right to rule. The title it's related to is ideals of distorted chivalry.
X'a Beloved : Now here. After have prove that they deserve the title and tame and learn to ride a Heldrake (they need to be a Howling Rider first and a good one. X’anathor could make an exception in some cases but he will probably stick to this "code" most of the time, unless you really impress him) there is a ceremony where X’anathor gives the title and show with a gesture that they are is beloved (something like caress a cheek or simply placing is hand on their heads). But there is a last test here fight against X’anathor and prove that you are not weak, you need to resist some minutes at least. Being a Beloved means have the best gear, ships, slaves other than the best pick in loots. And the most and the best lands on the planet. Plus when there is too "discuss" of the most important matters of the Gallantry with X’anathor, you have first right to talk.
Howling Riders : Prove not just in battle but even at home to deserve this title, and maybe X’anathor or a Beloved will approve of doing a final trial for see if you can have it. The Final trial is not just a violent fight with demon spawns, and not even tame alone a manticore or learn how to ride it, you need to fight a current Howling Rider.
Gallants : The first title that a marine of the Howling Gallantry could receive, above even your brothers. Other than usually have the highest lower rank, prove yourself to be fit and some minor blessings you need to tame and learn to ride a demonic horse. After this a Howling Rider will see if you can do a fight with a current Gallant and take is fief.
Lower Marines : You have your ranks for leadership, but you are still see almost like a chaos slave by the above.

Another thing, maybe we need to give them a symbol ? Unlike the space marine predators, the gallantry probably has a main symbol.
>>
I went ahead and fluffed the psyker cult, how about this?

>Allies

>The Wasting Anchorites are a psyker cult grudgingly allied with the Gallantry. The warp corruption in X’anadu seems to have provoked their existence. Sometimes, slaves and thralls seek to escape the oppression of their masters, wandering off into the icy wastes. However, not all of them die from cold and hunger. Some, perhaps those with psychic potential, seem to embrace the cold itself. They become able to acquire sustenance from raw ice, to move their darkened fingers despite the hypothermia. Their final appearance is of emaciated and blackened corpses studded with frost. Most of these men and women congregate at a monastery built inside a glacier of black ice which crawls on X’anadu’s north pole, where they meditate and train their mastery over the blizzards, ice and snow. The Gallantry leaves them mostly alone, but demands their ocasional service under pain of the monastery suffering orbital bombardment.

>>66073549
A symbol would be great. Hmmmmm... How about a golden helmet with three eye slits? X'anathor had three eyes before one of them was pierced by a cyberwood bolt.

interesting.
first quesiton i think needs to be answered here is whether or not they're a local regiment.
I think that will dramatically change the way that they operate.
if they are local, they're probably somewhat unconventional due to the lack of mainstream imperial contact, but if they're another transplant...well we know what happens to them then.
as it stands, the fact that they both hate eldar and are already unorthodox indicates that they are probably a transplant for one reason or another.
Perhaps they're unwilling to just throw lives away?

>>66076641
our SS i think probably use darker colors in their scheme, though the actually clothing is probably somewhat lighter than usual. Apophis II is a desert planet, so keeping cool is a must. Perhaps they have fancy Waffen SS hats rather than helms to keep cool?
>>
>>66079105
SS hats seems like a good idea.
Maybe they should put a Swastika on their armor or would that be a bit much?
>>
>>66079873
it'd be fucking hilarious but i think it would be too on-the-nose.
perhaps an allusion to the Schutzstaffel double S logo?

the issue is how to incorporate it into power armor... Overcoats maybe?

Overcoats are a good idea, maybe make it their dress uniform? Alternatively, maybe have their armor made in the same style as the Adjutant uniform?
>>
>>66080172
>dress uniform
thats reasonable. though if they're located further towards the poles on a desert world it'll be cold as fuck too.
as for the adjutant. I'm not familiar with the uniform so I Don't know how that would work.
that said, they might hail from a pole on their world and just wear an overcoat on top of the armor.

I hadn't considered that. Yeah, they probably have overcoats for the sake of warmth.
As for the uniform, here they are. I'm not entirely certain how this could be converted into power armor aesthetics, definitely keep the armband though, just replace the Swastika for an Aquilla, and maybe the symbol of the order beneath that.

Sisters in their armour will typically wear a robe or habit, I'm not too sure whether it sits beneath the chest piece or if its separate pieces, but I'd imagine it as simply wearing an open greatcoat over their armour instead of the traditional robes.

Sisters Superior go bareheaded with their peaked caps, normal Sisters wear the standard sallet.

How does one unite the concepts of "trench warfare" and "ocean world"? Iwo Jima style island defense or underwater trenches?

>Perhaps they're unwilling to just throw lives away?
That works neatly to me. The Admech could agree with this because the regiment has experimental underwater gear that is expensive and hard to replace.

I like this for the reason they're unconventional. Their practices enforce this through their sect of the Imperial Truth that needlessly throwing away lives for little gain put them at odds one too many times with local commands so they and their fellow regiments were relocated to the Venaro Sector to set up their own planet, which coincidentally was an ocean world like their home.

So they brought their sect and traditions, they are *THE* foremost underwater/amphibious Imperial force in the Sector so command won't throw them away

I like the unconventionality too.

I'm seeing them as an elite force, somewhat similar to the Solar Auxilia in appearance and quality. Their weaponry will need to be unusual, perhaps a sort of bolter firing small torpedoes?
>>
>>66082186
I like that. Though that feels more like something the Predators would cook up to hunt underwater along with supercavitating Bolts

Actually these guys seem pretty close to the Unbreakable Tritons we did months back. I'd say people could mistake them but these guys are far less autistic about their training and don't get mistaken for Space Marines unlike the Tritons

>>
>>66081571
that s not enough for the sisters, just giving them a red armband with the golden aquila doesn t give them the idea that they are the order of last resort.

i mean is good. But for their symbol what about adding a armored soritas boot/punch that cracks an obviosuly mutant skull wrapped in flames ?

It could show how much they hate mutants.

In regard to the armor it could be very simple, on top of the white there could be some red, black and golden lines, and fewer but more significant verses always related to the impurity of mutants, the red lines for show purity of the human blood, the black ones for the dishonor they received long ago and lastly the gold lines for the endless loyalty to the imperium they show.
>>66075951

Is becoming pretty good. Maybe you could add the description of their symbol.

>a golden helmet with three eyes slit, with one of their dreaded lances behind and the unholy crown of X’anathor on top of the helmet.
that got me thinking could the crown of X’anathor be an artifact ?
>"Ah the Golden Crown of X’anathor, the most beautiful and decadent of is artifacts, with reflexes of purple and blue lights, showing the favour of is god and the violent nature of is throne planet. In every battle, the crown was always the part that shined the most far more than the helmet, the armor, ornaments, jewels or the regal vest, becoming a greater becon of unholy light after every kill. At any apex of great light the crown reached, several of the enemies of the gallantry simply fallen to the ground in adoration of the corrupting magnificence of X’anathor or where consumed by minor aerial demons that birthed from that horrific beacon..... the power of that crown is immense..."

I like it. I'd probably change speciality to cavalry instead of sonic weaponry.

And I think putting down X'anathor as just owning the most of everything does little service to him being a Daemon Prince. To my understanding, as a DP he's probably going to be in one of maybe three states: either he's banished, and his strongest followers rise in his absence to lord themselves over the rest; he's in real-space, and has thus cowed his still-mortal followers into obedience, and is now leading his own little crusade until he gets shot again; or he's sitting on some little Daemon World somewhere on vacation, in which case he owns the whole planet anyway. He'd probably view all material holdings as his by default, and his followers holding them in his stead by his benevolence only.

Just my two cents anyway.
>>
>>66082908
That's very true. He likely communicates through his court mages from the Warp. And when he returns to take part in whatever conquest before his banishment there are huge celebrations of debauchery. And it never says how long he can stay until banished so it could be from days to decades between banishment.
>>
Do we have Tyranids or Dark Mechanus yet?
I had an idea for a debris field. The idea is that the currents and eddies of the warp, as well as various gravitational forces in the sector lead to most debris gathering into a single Garbage Island like field. The central point of which is the carcass of a Tyranid Hive Ship, as well as various Xenos and Imperial ships that have been abandoned or left to drift in space.
The result is a massive planetoid/debris field full of Xenotech, Archaeotech, and Tyranid biomass.
Naturally, this is the perfect place for a bunch of Dark Mechanus and WarpSmiths to gather to plunder for loot, and perform their insane experiments
The only surviving Tyranid in this field is a Genestealer Patriarch, unable to revive the Tyranid Hive Fleet by itself. However, thanks to the introduction of new organic life from the Mechanus, it starts a Genestealer Cult.
So it's Mechanus vs. Cult in an asteroid field with a Necromunda-like theme.
Thoughts?
>>
>>66082566
>armored soritas boot/punch that cracks an obviosuly mutant skull wrapped in flames ?
That doesn't look like Sisters to me. Granted, these aren't your usual Sisters. How about a flaming fist?

>In regard to the armor it could be very simple, on top of the white there could be some red, black and golden lines, and fewer but more significant verses always related to the impurity of mutants, the red lines for show purity of the human blood, the black ones for the dishonor they received long ago and lastly the gold lines for the endless loyalty to the imperium they show.
Nice symbology there, I like.

>>66082566
>a golden helmet with three eyes slit, with one of their dreaded lances behind and the unholy crown of X’anathor on top of the helmet.
Is that defined then? OK, I will.

>"Ah the Golden Crown of X’anathor, the most beautiful and decadent of is artifacts, with reflexes of purple and blue lights, showing the favour of is god and the violent nature of is throne planet. Will also add this. Maybe I play too much D&D, but should such an artifact have some more clearly defined power?
>>
>>66082908
>I'd probably change speciality to cavalry instead of sonic weaponry.
Done.

>>66083154

>He'd probably view all material holdings as his by default, and his followers holding them in his stead by his benevolence only.
That does makes sense, but it fucks up the feudal hierarchy. And ultimately, all of the fiefs are gifts from X'anathor in exchange for service/merit. What if I add that "the holdings of the slain are returned to X'anathor, to distribute as he sees fit"?

>>66083332
No we don't.

And I like your asteroid field. The Venaro sector's "Sargasso Field", how does that sounds?
>>
>>66084101

>How about a flaming fist ?

Could do. I put boot too mostly for avoid to be similar to the one of the imperial fist. But it s a Soritas one so it s shouldn t be a problem in the first place.
>Is that defined then?

If no one steps in and say they don t like it , and offer another symbol i think we can go with it.
>Maybe I play too much D&D, but should such an artifact have some more clearly defined power ?

Probably.

I have write that the crown manifest power during battles and the power become ever greater after each kill. When it reaches an apex the beacon of unholy light probably corrupt too much the near weaker minds and they fall in adoration to X’anathor, instead others that are still near and can resist this corruption, but don t have any warp protection are assaulted by minor aerial demons (of slaanesh of course; gas like) that are born from the unholy light of the crown.
We can change it or give it other types of powers. Stronger ones or lesser ones.

So what weapon should X'anathor use? I think a sword is the best option.

>[Insert] is the blade of X'anathor the Shining. It is either his original Legion issued blade corrupted by the ruinous powers over the millennia or a commissioned piece from the Dark Mechanicus.
>Unlike most Daemon weapons the blade is quite mundane looking, keeping the appearance of the swords issued by the III Legion long ago with the golden Aquila Palatine handguard and violet handle with gold pommel and dark purple horsehair tassle
>The blade itself is mirrored and polished to perfection without o glimpse of wear and tear even after hours of slaughtering foes
>>
>>66085876
How about 'Mirrorshade' for the name of the sword?
>>
>>66085876

>The Shrieking Lances are a weapon unique to the Gallantry. Based on stolen and reverse
engineered Eldar sonic weaponry, substituting the wraithbone for a fleshier warp-metal. These
weapons vibrate with excitement at the prospect of shattering anything and anyone. Upon hitting a foe, the Lances not only inflict pain but all types of sensations: fear, pleasure and even happiness are possible. The High King himself wields the original Lance, an Eldar Vibro Cannon fused to a bound demon.
We did give him a lance for is first weapon. I would suggest a firearm for secondary, but a sword can do too.
>>

So it'll actually be fairly oversized for a Lance. Also, much more Tech look to it, and the faces will be more Daemonic in nature.

Also thinking of the Order of [REDACTED] acquiring traits of the Order of Santiago and the Camino de Santiago to complement their nazi traits. Including pic related, the emblem of the order.

>Their greatest triumph was recovering a sacred relic.
>Their most holy relic is the writings of a saint.
>The sisters largely hold their homeworld at an arms distance, including the smaller settlement dotting the surface, seeing themselves as being above the world they inhabit, and have minimal influence in the operation of the Planet as a result. However, though they may have little influence on their world, the wield a disproportionate, amount of influence off-world, due to the relationships the have with the local naval battlefleet.

I'm thinking that the sisters constantly escort and inspect pilgrimages going along the Apophian Way, a network of warp routes leading to the holy writings they recovered. Said writings might concern the topic of purity, and be the basis of their ideology.

Ideas I had:

>The relic is a massive Gene-Codex. It was written by the Saint Alcantáros, a pious man obsessed with the purity of Mankind. Including Admech data-looms, DNA samples from the Age of Strife and notes said to have originated from the Emperor’s laboratories, it supposedly details the template of the perfect human being, free of physical, mental or spiritual taint. After exhaustive testing, the Sisters arrived at the conclusion that few, if any, humans of the current age are up to the standards set by the relic. This began their self-imposed mission of breeding the perfect human.

>The sisters constantly escort and inspect pilgrimages going along the Apophian Way. They gene-screen the pilgrims, crew members and passengers, sequestering those that fit their criteria for experimentation and further breeding.

I believe those ideas were from the last thread, regarding the Sisters:

-The Staatpolize is an internal police force which watches over all, sisters and Zwangarbet alike.

-Every year, the sisters execute pogroms over the population of Apophis II, executing all which don't pass their standards of human purity. That is the final exam of the newly-inducted sisters. Those that fail this become Zwangarbet, failed aspirants which perform all non-militant labor.

-When purging planets, the sisters abduct both boys and girls deemed pure enough and induct them into their education and breeding programs.

-Some say they use vitae womb techniques to achieve the required number of perfect sisters.

-They perform experiments on both humans and abhumans, in labor camps in Apophis II.

-They are constantly engaged in purges of imperial populations considered tainted or imperfect, seeking to create living space for the products of their breeding programs. These purges often include labor programs in which the imperfect populations die from exhaustion and hunger building settlements and cathedrals for the coming immigrants. There are a number of deserted planets full of grand cities and gigantic temples, just waiting for citizens.

-They bring the humans that meet their standards to Apophis II. There such people are experimented upon, tested to exhaustion, Many of the survivors are moved to the planet’s surface, condemned to a lifetime of environmental trials and forced asceticism. Despite this, their descendants are building communities and even a few towns. The Sisters monitor those.

I plan to make a proper pdf for them now. Also reading up on the Santiago Order and related materials.

Oh HELL YEAH!
>Daemon: (same as above, but include 'Xenos' as a possible mundane guise) The cult is led by a daemonic entity, usually tied to one of the chaos gods.

We've got a Daemon Mechanus leading the pack. Tzeentchian Soul Grinder? Possessed Warp-Priest?

From the first thread to now the Howling Gallantry has become the greatest threath to Sector Venaro. Good work. Now they could have the descriptions of some previous battles or great "deeds". i write an example that can be used, modify or discard. It could be unoriginal and with several errors.

The Great Lie and Massacre of Pivan XI
"Pivan my sweet home, please for the God Emperor remain strong and resist, endure ..... endure ... don t let this monsters have our childs .... resist please..."

- Last words of Cyvus Haiservi, precedent Planet Cardinal of Pivan XI
"The Skies of Pivan where filled with the orange light of the great sun that day, suddenly our beautiful songs where interrupted ... and the deviants "knights" of Artellian descend upon us. The Golden Prince, that was one of the titles he loved to use, find the perfect moment for is strike : not only many of our militia and navy wheren t present, but on the darkest halls below the planet previous treacherous "pilgrims" had found a cult to serve is wishes, to add to this through an unfortunate coincidence the gentle Cyvus decided to isolate himself from the politics of the Sector as the contrasts with the Order of the Last Resort and the Arch-Cardinal grow to high. With this dark events, several defense guns where sabotaged giving plenty of space for the heretics for deploy. They soon attacked our cities and temples laying destruction and death everywhere, but their first objective was the Cathedral of the Unnamed Scout a simple but beautiful building in honor of that great hero. A great battle ensure for capture it, our numbers dwindle and many civilians offer their life for protect it even if they sacrificed themself. After two days of resistance Cyvus decided to do the unthinkable, talk with them. The moral was low and our defenses where so stretched, our soldiers ..."

Thinking on this, how about a daemon computer server farm? The leader is just a sorta AI/Daemon that runs the show of the business but has daemon engines it inhabits when a operation requires it's presence.
>>
>>66104815
>",if you could call them that (valiant in their effort but they where just mere workers, healers, statue crafters or scribes. And only old mens or young ones where present on Pivan, with barely any ideas on how to use autoguns or the importance of tactics) where placed on guarding the doors of the vaults under the treasuries of our temples (where Cyvus had send the majority of the population that wasn t able to escape in the fortified positions), or protecting the few fortified positions on the planet and lastly the majority of them was in the Cathedral of the Unnamed Scout. The talk with the chaos leader and the planet cardinal was brief between them, the conditions of the Golden Prince had given for let us survive where five : to not call for help and to act as the act was never done so is servants could have capture coming pilgrims , to give them our treasures, give tributes choose by ourself for become slaves in their realm and sacrifices in the altars that would have been built on the planet and lastly by our own hands we would have destroyed the Cathedral. At that moment, i abandoned Cyvus remaining with a group of followers in the rubble of our cities. My mind and heart where divided, i couldn t hate him for wanting to save at all costs the population and i know that each time is hand was to send a group of tributes, or destroy a face of a saint with a chisel is heart was breaking. He endured, always asking himself as a sacrifice or a slave but always those Beasts laughed and mocked him delighted by the increasing hate, distrust and fear of our pious and peaceful people..."

"...In my little i tried to stop them, but i only lost men each time and the Golden Prince taken 1000 slaves and sacrifices for every time a bullet arrived even near is servants. So many died, our planet was so full of ruins and corpses, the symbols of chaos where made on every ruined temple. The Lie lasted for 10 years, the planet had become like a cattle farm of an agri world, but our people where the cattle. Artellian added more conditions and demanded more tributes during this years to our Planet Cardinal for save is people, mining the rocks with barely any ore or value under the vaults and grow crops in the terrain now free of rubble. From Pivan and the pilgrims that arrived on the planet unknown of the danger, the Golden Prince was taking ludicrous amounts of loots. The Planet Cardinal started being tortured publically each day by anyone under Artellian, he became an husk of a men, even there was still that light of devotion and duty in is eyes for protect is people ... but that light was fading away. In the last days of the Lie there was nothing left of the Great Cathedral of the Unnamed Scout but one thing, a beautiful statue of bronze. Something unusual happened, many of the heretics where grouping near the Cathedral as for wait someone..."

That someone arrived and i know it who he was. In the windows of the cathedral there was a depiction of this chaos warlord. After talking with the Golden Prince, he thrusted the is great lance repeatedly on the statue destroying it completly. That was the last thing i could accept, so during the night as the heretics where celebrating, i attacked my own people with my followers. We breached in the vault under the cathedral, reached the communication hall and send all the messages we could from there. What followed after was the Massacre of Pivan, the heretics attacked all the vaults and fortifications, slaughtering anyone that resisted and making slaves of the rest. Cyvus was impaled on a crude iron star of chaos and left here as a symbol of their power. Then the heretics of the Golden Prince abandoned the planet, not interested in taking all the few remaining survivors, for the risk of fight the incoming imperial forces. I was one of them. Six months after, a fleet of the emperor hunters, iron predators and a detachment of the 666th arrived. That s what happen, to my world and my people, the men of the Shrine world of Pivan XI. Now judge me as what i have done is unbearable."

End confession.
