Nah, a dragon would totally survive a tank shot or two. Not fifty, but definitely two. They've got a shitton of HP, and it's laughable to think a tank can do more than 100 damage.
Really, a tank shot is probably about 10d10+20 damage at most.
As a comparison, a cannonball at point blank to the face does 8d10 damage. But you might scream, "a tank shell does so much more damage than a cannonball!", but.. it doesn't. It really doesn't. It has significantly better penetration, but that's an AC or hardness modifier. Defense is really weird in D&D, considering that a cat can slash through solid plate armor with good enough rolls. Stopping attacks works completely different in the real world, which is the only reason cannons had to be upgraded to artillery.
Also, it's really hard to hit something that can fly really fast with a tank shot. I, myself, would say tanks require an Aim action to even be allowed to fire at a target, at which point the dragon will move and void the shot. They can see you lining up that turret.

Plastic explosives in d20 Modern deal 2d6 damage per pound, which adds up very quickly when you have air to air missiles with 50lb warheads and surface to air missiles with 200lb warheads. There's a lot the dragon can do to avoid taking the hit but overconfidence could kill him very quickly.

Next, I guess try to understand what's going on, try to learn what I can do, if I noticed I could do magic, try to learn and experiment with that. Try to find trustworthy lab to worth with to study, well, me and what this was all about, now that a whole unexpected aspect of the "secrets of the universe" just opened up. Ultimately, try to push the studying toward figuring out a way to boost everyone else's lifespan as well.

A lot of what I'd do though would also depend on what I discovered about what I _could_ do. There's a bunch of exploration to be done, and would look like I found effectively a whole new point of leverage that had no idea could exist.

10d10+20 averages at 75 damage on a hit, but also doesn't take into account increased weapon developments in the 17 years or so since D20 Modern came out.

Missiles aren't just going to be shot one at a time vs a target and they're not going to be coming from a single attack/source, so you're looking at taking multiple layered attacks/blasts of which would be either targeting Touch AC (in older versions, ignoring Armor or Natural Armor bonuses) or At Advantage with a high accuracy rating, easily +10 to +20 in 5e terms.

That then leads to "Well, what else can a Dragon do about this?"

Part of this depends on an old argument's conclusion that is pretty much up to DM choice; Does Invisibility count as All Forms Of Detection or Just Eyeballs?
For my money, you need Superior Invisibility (the 9th level spell that Explicitly hides all signs of the subject, including from things like Blindsight and Tremorsense that are more analogous to Radar and Ladar perceptions) but some DMs may run Radio and Laser detection as still technically "light-based" and so the 2nd level Invisibility or Greater Invisibility at 4th might cut it.

If you take my perspective on it though, Darkstalker's 3rd edition feat can also avoid blindsense and the like.

On the other hand, here the Stage Magician approach to stealth works better than the Magic-User version; polymorph into a bird and most RADAR/LADAR detection will recognize you as a bird and ignore you. Smaller animals and bugs also work.

As well as the usual wizardry bullshit of the Celerity spells granting a Move Action (2nd level) Action (4th level) or Full round (8th level) as an immediate action to just move out of the attack location/AOE.
And the Martial Adept abilities of the same if you multiclassed or took Martial Study to get Wall of Blades, Intercepting Shade or w/e to just throw a knife at the missile before it hits you or gets into proximity.

Either way, there's a LONG list of POTENTIAL answers to modern problems but you're going to want to be well versed in All of them And the likely-to-be-used-measures against you even as a Dragon before you can even be Close to sure about your chances in an up-close-and-personal confrontation.
