While you are swimming a pool a small slug like creature swims over to you and attempts to gain ingress into your ear. If it does so, it shall interface with your nervous system and assume direct control over your body.

I don't swim in natural bodies of water

It will then force you to go on /tg/ and post shitty "legally not /qst/" threads to push actual gaming discussion even further off the page.

I wonder how many mind controlling parasites we can fit into one person.

Goauld symbiote wrapped around brainstem and spinal column, Yeerk wrapped around the brain proper, maybe throw a Futurama brain slug on top of the skull.

Hmmm, what else?
>>
>>71656893
What's the symbiotic alien in star trek, think someone in DS9 had one?
>>
>>71657284
I thought they were Trills but apparently they were the hosts and the symbiotes were just called symbiotes.
>>
>>71656893
Brain spiders
>>
>>71656893
Borg nanites, bluegills (also from trek), demonic possession AND a haunting, the Joker virus, chuck a chest burster on there for good measure, liquid snake's arm, the eyeballs of a killer from that one Outer Limits episode, a regular pregnancy...
>>

>>
>>71656893
a Shard from Worm, the neurax worm from Plague Inc., the slaad tadpole from D&D, a headcrab, a zombie virus, Phyrexian oil, Akumaization from Exalted, being Taken from Black Company, a mindflayer tadpole, an intellect devourer, MTG's Mindslaver, Zerg infestation, the Thorian from Mass Effect, and an implanted Marker from Dead Space. Oh, and some Flood Cells for good measure.
>>
>>71656893
Parasyte on the lower head like that one guy from the manga.
>>
>>71657646
Could we squeeze the alien oil from X files in alongside the Phyrexian oil?
>>
>>71656893
Throw in being a Junchuriiku or whatever the fuck it is from naruto, where they have the giant animals in their stomachs.

Actually, since the yeerk, the goauld, and the host themselves are all different people, each of them can be separately haunted and demonically possessed, on top of everything else.
>>
>>71657857
Wait so we have
>the original host
>the yeerk
>the goa'uld
>the brainslug
>the intellect devourer
>the xenomorph
>the mindflayer tadpole
>the parasyte
each of which is it's own entity, unlike the other elements, which are just influences and mindless parasites.
That means that each of those can EACH be demonically possessed, haunted by ghosts, Taken, made into an Akuma, etc.

On top of that, the total body can be injected with phyrexian oil, the x files alien oil, borg nanobots, flood cells, the Marker, the cordyceps fungus, las plagas, and more.

You’re forgetting the brain spiders from John Dies at the End

Let’s add Hemalurgic spikes from Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn too. They’re sort of a cross between a mind control implant & possession.

All in all this sounds for a great game of “Everyone is John”

>What's it gonna do, make me swim around and eat algae or whatever slugs do?
“In local news, anon was found swimming in nearby bodies of water and eating algae. Some say he is pretending to be a slug.”
>>
>>71658428
Sort of. Basically it is a big weakness in your Spirit Web. A hemalurgic spike is akin to a nahal bond, a Surgebinder needs to have a “broken” spirit web (basically be traumatized) so that a spren can form a link & “fill it in”. This weakened spirit web that allows others with the proper powers to influence you. Remember Mistborn can control Koloss & Kandra. It’s not out of the question for them to also influence others pierces by spikes, or even a Bondsmith or something similar. A surgebinder while similarly made is reinforced by his spren so shouldn’t be considered weak. I’m just saying it’s another form of control & didn’t want to put a bunch of explanation into my post.

If each of those count as their own entity, then we can probably shove more beings in there with soul magic.
>Each of those have a soul
Using Bleach logic, we can now include Zanpakuto, Hollowfication, quincy power manifestations, whatever. On top of that, there's a billion ways to create generic "evil" alternate personalities, which probably increases the number of stuff we can shove in.

When we're done, this thing is gonna look like that one "thanos with every fictional weapon" image, isn't it?

I'm a little worried that I actually understood that and it made sense despite using abilities and powers from separate Sanderson settings.

Yeah, I know, they aren't really separate, but I hadn't put that much thought into it.

Jokes on him, I have a condition which causes abnormal levels of ear wax build up. He'll never make it through.
>>
>>71663410
That’s because he framed most of it out & works within the same frameworks on everything. You have three realms, physical mental & spiritual, if a power works in one way, it’s going to have the same internally consistent logic across the field. Like Elantrians being similar to the Returned, or spren & seons, or how a certain character on Roshar seems to have found a way to use a sphere based “hemalurgy”...

Speaking of large amounts of mind parasites, wouldn't it be interesting to have a setting where all of those different mind parasites are trying to take over the world from the shadows and getting involved in shadow wars with each other? Like the Illuminati, but everybody's mindfucked by aliens, not the jews.
>not!yeerks
A spacefaring race of brain slugs, they come with some alien soldiers. Good at infiltration for aliens, bad at force projection and tactics.
>not!goa'uld
Space snakes, the rivals of the not!yeerks. Less mobile due to relying on portals, which earth has a lot of, but also have a lot of resources due to extraplanetary resources. Strengths are their powerful soldiers and incredible skill, weaknesses are their arrogance and reliance on portals that require large bases and power sources.
>demons
When the first alien portal opened, it resonated with psychic energy, releasing demons on the world. Their strengths are lack of biological traits, supernatural talents, and great knowledge of humanity, but their weaknesses is their spiritual nature (rituals can banish them, so can faith) and sadism causing them to try and hurt people even if it sets back their greater agenda.
>not!parasytes
Aliens that fell from the sky and infected people. Their strength is that they have absolute control over their hosts (as long as they infested the head) and their increased combat prowess, but their weakness is their lack of reinforcements or switching hosts - this is the only shot they'll ever get.
>the mind flayers
It's just straight up mindflayers. They can only reproduce by injecting people with their tadpoles, causing it to grow inside somebody, chest-burster style. Their strengths are their subterranean empire and psychic powers, but their weaknesses are their underground rivals and imperfect methods of control.
