Follow Grand Vizier Liar Darkfalse to the second thread of this campaign setting that started as a trope filled joke, but unintentionally does its shit well.

Pict related charts the major characters. The names are very intentionally horrifically accurate, for most of the characters at least. Probs 1d4chan etc page should be created.

Original thread: >>76386969

More characters, locations and such are needed. Please connect them to the established lore, so their fun starts instantly!

So what happens when the Adventurers reach Mount Climb-Axe? Is the Ritual of Lich Traj stopped in time? Does Prince Edgynald manage to royally fuck everything up?

ah fuck wrong link, but anyway.

This thread we could start to move this stuff from a fun tale towards something playable.

>Came up with two ways it could be done:
Plan A: we go forward with Failure of Hiro, move few years forward and allow the GM and Players to create new characters.
Survivors of the current situation are NPCs.

Plan B: we detail the current situation extensively, and use this as a lighthearted adventure / idea prompt as >>76387915 stated.

>Court of Viziers

An 3rd level or higher Evil Mage may summon together a Court of scheming underlings, lackeys and apprentices by laughing manically on top of a tower for three days straight.

Alignment: Evil, usually Lawful
Size: Depends
Location: Palaces, Evil Towers, Offices, Govermental buildings, Insane Asyloms
Skills: Scheming +5, Poisons +2, Torture +3, Awareness +1, Backstabbing +3, Byrocracy +2, Ritual Assistance +3

The Viziers has 1d8 Hit Die for each level of the Evil Mage summoning it.
Every 4 or something represents another underling joining the Court.

The Viziers are entirely loyal to the Evil Mage and happily help him to the best of their abilities in any Evil or Neutral endeavor. They are even willing sacrifices, although they would prefer to capture innocents for the role.

The Evil Mage can give the Viziers simplistic commands such as "Fetch The Prisoner", "Protect Me!", "Attack The Prince!" or "Sulk around City X and report everything", but anything more complex has 1-2 in d6 chance to be horribly misunderstood.

In combat, The Viziers hits with two +1 dagger attacks for every Hit Die it posesses. As it takes damage, every fifth damage kills a Vizier and reduces the amount of dagger attacks. The Viziers may cast 1st level wizard spells instead of three dagger attacks.

If the Evil Mage dies before the Viziers, the Viziers erupt into a vicious bloodbath that lasts 1d6-1 days. If they are attacked during that time the viziers scatter across the lands and end up in all kinds of mischief. After the time has passed (0 days meaning instantly) only one of the Viziers remains standing and declares this all having part of his PLAN! The Last Standing Vizier is an Evil wizard that is two levels lower than the original Evil Mage.

Every month roll a dice: there is an 1-in-6 chance that one of the viziers attempts to assassinate the Evil Mage. This chance increases by 1 for every month the Evil Mage has been caught doing Good things.

Scolare will not tell anyone, not any more. Lord Topplethrone's best "retrieval specialist", Plotti Kens, has made sure of that. Now, will this information get to inquisitor Ittar? Or will Topplethrone help Darkfalse?
>>
>>76463953
>Really, more stuff for these Chars is in order,

Here are a few random ideas:
>Princess Thirstina and "sir" Notagirl fuck every time she comes with the "royal inspection" to the barracks - a fact Darkfalse is aware of and very bitter about
>Duke of Ierelvant is actually Lord Shoulda Lissend's cousin, Neva Lissend.
>Prince Edgynald sometimes dons his trusty trenchcoat to mingle with the masses, and on occasion, he's bumped into Rye Vall in a tavern. Their common bitterness about the rest of the world proved so connecting that they now get shitfaced and commiserate frequently.
>Hand Evilmann is losing influence and poise fast, but is secretly aware of the murder plot, and really wants back in the game. He thinks that offering to mentor Darkfalse might help him become relevant again, and may prove a valuable ally.
>Alchemist Drinnke has recently began supplying Lady Darkblood with potions that grant immense sexual pleasure and seductiveness, but are quite addictive. Will she lose herself to the addiction totally? Will she seek rehabilitation from the Church? Or is Spike in over his head and will end up forever in her employ?
>On the other hand, Lady Darkblood has become visiting mage Mask for lessons in the Dark Arts, something her old mentor, hand Evilmann, also taught her. She's only dabbling in it, however, her experiments involve distrubing entities and she engages in them with reckless abandon. The church is willing to overlook them, however, the military want to gain more influence in the kingdom's poitics, and witchfinder Takanarmoffa has already started infiltrating the court.
>>
>>76465615
> >Princess Thirstina and "sir" Notagirl fuck every time she comes with the "royal inspection" to the barracks - a fact Darkfalse is aware of and very bitter about
The original idea for the rumor was that Thirstina IS sir Ian. So there are now two versions of this!
I propose that "sir Ian" is actually illegitimate and a halfblood - she was born to Sir Holdgrudge and an elf he (name-fiittingly) fucked during his conquest of Slowtime. He brought her back to Transparentia, and got her a place in the military, where she met the princess. The princess is rather progressive and is willing to overlook both the gender and the race-mixing, but to protect her romance interest, spreads rumors that sir Ian is actually her. Darkfalse are aware that this is bullshit, and at least suspects that it's not a man, but has no idea about the background. But sir Holdgrudge might let that slip, if pressured.
>>
>>76463953
> Nice! (Not making a map yet)
Consider >>76434535
>>
I only now realized that Duke Kinslay of Evilman and Hand of the Kind Evilman Sorcerer are, well, both Evilmen. Does this make them relatives? Is there some magic shit involved? (Maybe Kinslay performed some kind of ritual to posess a court mage as a backup plan in case he got dethroned? Or maybe the court mage was his clone? Or just a brother?)
>>
>>76466633
> Or maybe the court mage was his clone?
I think I actually have a pretty dope idea regarding this. Even if there is a different kind of plot for the Evilmen, we can reuse it somewhere else.

Get this - Evilman Sorcerer is not even human. He is a flesh-shaped golem that duke Kinslay of Evilman had created and instilled with a copy of his own personality. The idea was that as a kinslayer, he had no one to trust, especially with issues of magic and statecraft, and this "copy" of his was designed to become his ultimately reliable court mage. The ritual was performed haphazardly, and the resulting golem was a shrewd assistant, but still failed to protect its master and prevent the end of Evilman rule. Because king Naivenor is, well, what the name says, Evilman Sorcerer was allowed to keep his post as the Hand of the King (although supplanted with a massive hierarchy of other viziers and courtiers, and removed from the position of Court Mage in favour of Mask Vilesorcerer).

At first, Evilman acted like a copy and faithful servant of duke Kinslay would and worked as hard as he could to supplant the Nobleheart reign, to which end he mentored Delilah Darkblood in sorcery and intrigue, but quickly dropped her when he understood she was hard to control and not any good spy material. Since then, he is going through a bit of personal crisis - he no longer knows if acting in Duke Kinslay's interests is something he should do, or if he has free will and must act how he wants (his infrequent conversations with court gardener Normall Oldmen promote that thinking, obviously). By the time Darkfalse arrives at the court, Evilman has already decided that for a change, he wants to forget whatever Kinslay had him designed to do, and wants to see the realm prosper. He is willing to use all of his knowledge, expertise and sorcery to make that happen, and is seeing Darkfalse as a potential new protege he can use to restore the greatness to Transparentia.
>>
>>76465829
Yeah, that one's not gonna work - the original idea for Fuckelves and Thirstina is good enough. But I guess up to Sir Inkhart and Sir Recordkeepra to decide which one is canon and if this plotline gets used somewhere else.
(I just really wanted Liar to have someone to be jealous about over Thirstina)
>>
>>76463953

>>76464044
>To what plot did Darkfalse blackmail the Mercenary Edgesword?
Find and eliminate Lostson Futureking.
What they both don't know is that Comicrelief Hornybard is Lostson Futureking' nom de plume.
>>
>>76465615
Maybe sir Notagirl is suspiciuosly close to one sir Wudbee Disowndifgay. Maybe Darkfalse is also using this to blackmail poor sir Wudbee to commit nefarious deeds.
>>
>>76468010
Being sir Wudbee really fucking sucks. First you get harassed by the General's right hand man. Then you find out it's not only royalty, but a princess. And then her romantic interest the Vizier is blackmailing your ass.
If I would be sir Wudbee, I'd tell everyone to go fuck themselves and become a mercenary instead.
>>
>>76465615
Yes!

>>76467322
>>76467322
>I just really wanted Liar to have someone to be jealous about over Thirstina
(no pic for her yet, humbly suggesting)

Two ideas for this:

>1
Thirstina is veeery close friends with Deliah Darkblood. They might be childhood friends and all. The latter being powerful and independent femme fatale makes an interesting opposite to the tomboyish princess. There might even be rumors that Sir Ian is courting Lady Deliah.

Darkblood in turn is ambitious, well educated and clearly moving upwards. >>76466997
She might soon be in a position to threaten the Grand Vizier and try to take his position.

Both of these are a problems for poor Liar Darkfalse.

>2
The court has been thrown into a shock after Sir Ian returned from one of the adventurers with a baby, the Little Elfeary Suddensurprise. Sir Ian promptly acknowledged the kid as his, causing much drama (and confusion among them who know the secret of Ian)
It is the half-elf bastard of Sir Holdgrudge and Amazonia, born in Slowtime. Holdgrudge might not even know himself.

>>76466633
>>76466997
Oh this is good. The original idea (that Evilman Sorcerer is just from the Duchy of Evilman) can be the official lie.

>>76467986
Lostson is a bit too young for that, otherwise hilarious. Liking that the mission though. Perhaps Edgesword is looking for Goodpriest Holywoman, but does not recognize Goodhealer Hidinwoman? Or searching for Thirstina? Or for more tragic twist, the mission is to kill Sir Ian.
>>
>>76468010
>>76468246
Or take that back, imagine if this is Expend Able is actually an impoverished knight and takes Wudbee's place? That sucks even worse. Expendable love interest for the princess, ultimately expend-ed by the vizier who wants her.
>>
>>76468247
>Two ideas for this:
>1

Shit this is good! So now Darkfalse has Evilman on his side, end Evilman is not only very powerful himself, but knows Deliah well being her mentor. There is also pressure being put on Delilah from the witchfinder, who may try to bring the military into the fold to take her down. But at the same time, Deliah has support of the Alchemist (although it's can be turned against her, as she may lose herself to the addiiction), powerful magic, and is close to the princess, which may cause Darkfalse to act impulsively.
>>
>>76468344
Maybe the princess is even under the influence of whatever potions Darkblood is guzzling. Darkfalse is almost certainly telling himself that.
>>
>>76468247
>Or for more tragic twist, the mission is to kill Sir Ian.
He doesn't have to succeed though - maybe he was only able to wound Ian. This works well with the idea about Thirstina, Ian and Deliah. Thirstina knows Deliah well from childhood, but they've grown distant since Thirstina has more tomboyish interests and disapproves of the schemng and snobbery. However, when Thirstina (as sir Ian) is assaulted by Edgesword, barely fights off the attack and has to spend some time recuperating and reconsidering whom she trusts, she grows closer to Deliah back, probably justifying what she previously saw as cruelty and arrogance as safety mechanisms against betrayal and hurt.

At the same time, Liar notices how Thirstina has disappeared consistently with the attack on Ian, and realizes that while he has only luckily not murdered the woman he has a crush on, he's now pushed her much closer to his rival. This is one of his first actions upon arrival, and his first mistake as Grand Vizier - the one that he will be trying to rectify throughout much of his character ark. How he will rectify it - will he kill off Deliah and end with the princess his rival? Will he remove Deliah carefully, winning Thirstina over? Will he succeed in murdering all of them all for himself? Or for some higher purpose? Who knows.

Edgesword, at the same time, understands that he probably has outlived his usefulness as a hitman and goes into hiding. He may receive a redemption ark and return under a different name later, which conveniently removes the confusion between him and prince Edgynald.
