>>77405829#17 seems a tad lackluster compared to some of the ohters, but the fact that he's the only ascetic primarch in a group otherwise profuse with hedonists in a galaxy plagued by Slaanesh is very noteworthy. Makes sense why he'd be nihilistic as the 18th found, every one of his brothers has defiled his principles and he sees them as too weak to do what needed to be done or master themselves. Because of the Purge being part of his background in a xenophilic civilization, I imagine him being coldly loyal to the Imperium and the Imperium alone. He's focused on the supremacy of man, above all, and could not care less whether the Emperor is ruler or not, though it's not only that, he expects the same ascetic lifestyle from his followers and demands it in his astartes. He lost his left eye and can see into the future, and what he's seen in every discernable timeline is nothing short of unspeakable. The 17th primarch does what he can and struggles in what he genuinely believes and has confirmed to himself to be an absolutely futile, doomed and damned crusade on the teeming xenos hordes because he can't imagine doing anything else. He might not be that unique compared to his brothers, but he is stubborn and he holds to his principles.

>>77408354Rereading after I've written this, it comes off as somewhat edgy for the sake of edgy or some sort of anti-coomer power fantasy, which is to a degree all well and good given the 40k context, but I like the idea that the 17th is undeniably loyal and morally unambiguous, with the moral unambiguity being that he's a right bastard who doesn't care about the common man whatsoever, outside of forcing them into a societal structure designed around ensuring material deprivation for the sake of their souls. There's no higher ideology or noble ambition guiding him, he's not a craftsman or a scholar, he's not insane or traumatized by his background, he's a soldier and sees the temptations of the flesh as a more urgent battlefield than the physical warfare. Consequently he reasons the best way to handle them is to cut their supply lines, ergo, removing not only temptation but the context for what temptation promises, hence the slow speed of his conquests.

Not because they're any less dangerous, but because they're straightforward and not hellbent on raping the corpses of his men and moaning when they get lasbolted, just normal, understandable butchery.
>>77414099>>77414129Either he's saving the best for last, or the Gods did indeed ruse cruise the fuck out of their eldest brother.

>>77414129>Tzeentch has two primarchs>Nurgle has two primarchs>Slaanesh has three prinarchs>Khorne has breadcrumbsAre Khornates the underdog in this setting? I feel like their warbands are probably a hell of a lot more reactionary towards other Chaos forces than intrinsically hating the Imperium.
>>77414164>>77414183I'm imagining Ollanus Pius on Horus' flagship, watching Big E duke it out, all the chaos going on, and then Khorne just yeets himself through the Warp, grabs this random guardsman, and blesses him with like 95% of Khorne's power. "FUCK YOU ASSHOLES ILL BUILD ONE MYSELF"And then we have Guardsman: The Primarchening as he goes on a one-man Red Crusade against the other three gods. :D
>>77414243So Khorne is doom guy in our setting. Makes sense
>>77414243Nah, Khorne's go-to in this timeline is likely a red tide of warped mortals and chaos spawn to cope.
I hope we get at least a single Khornate primarch, but it'd be interesting if we don't. Hell, are we sure none of the eldar would've lost faith in their old gods and jumped onto the Blood God's bandwagon to escape Slaanesh?
>>77414213Legend say of ten and ten stars in sky, many moons ago. Stars spin around greatest light of all. Great galaxy fill with war, fill with slaughter, fill with madness and death. But there was rage in the heavens then, for none bowed their heads to the eldest and greatest. Low in the sky came the Blood Star, the 21st Angel, the Vengeful Spirit, intruding on the cosmic dance. He who came from nothing, was raised from nothing, would return all to nothing. Vast armies he raised from the mortal flesh of Man, endless tides to conquer and kill in his master's name. Unified in purpose as no other host could be, they swept the cosmos in endless carnage. The great ones fell, in the end. The mighty ones, the powerful ones, the ones bloated with power from the divine. They never imagined their doom could reach them. But the 21st? He was doom itself, he had nothing to lose. And so he could not be overthrown in the same way. Only deflected, never defeated. And so the Red River flows to this day. (Of course, this assumes we don't roll any for Khorne, haha)

Not that I give too many shits mind you, the Exorcists are one of the coolest Chapters in 40k. And as powerful as Chaos seems to be shaping up, a Legion of anti-Daemon specialists might not be powerwanking as it would normally be accused of, but *necessary* for the Imperium to survive at all in this timeline. In particular, the Primarch being found very late might also mean that Big E's been getting the bad vibes in the back of his mind for a little while, maybe even prepping such a Legion beforehand. >>77416976I'm down. Legions changing names every so often to reflect the changing nature of their existence always seemed kinda kino to me. Like how nation-states evolve with time. You don't want to do it too much, but it adds spice in small doses.
>>77416802Well he landed on a Chaos Corrupted world, I feel like Big E tried to keep it under wraps hence the bad blood. Probably told him that everything about his homeworld, purged it and dragged him to his legion. He might not know exactly what Chaos is better encountering other demons he can make the connection its similar to what was on his homeworld which causes him to be disgusted by it.
>>77417027Maybe the only reason he wasn't corrupted by chaos was that as much as he loved his father, he was skeptical of faith and his scholarly struggle was trying to rationalize the existence of the immaterial when he didn't have any technological context for it
Accidentally left out a couple of things(conquest and politics) >Primarch #4>19th Found>Empath>Wings>Core>East>Conquered NorthWest>Average Star Density>Chaos Corrupted World>Medieval Slavic or Modern American>Earth Sized>Standard Biodiversity>Moderate>Dry>Royalty>Deep love and familial bonds>Loves only one sibling>Conquest nearly finished upon Emperor's arrival>Endless plotting>Homeworld wealth: Standard>Disgusted by Homeworld>Governement(Pre-Conquest): Oligarchy>Xenophile>Socialist>Decentralized>Defining Struggle: Scholarly Challenged>No Major Injuries>Honest>Self-Hating>Scholarly Pursuits>Long Ranged Shooting>Bad Blood(Like Angron) was caused by the Emperor's first meeting>Intense Jealously(Like Mortarion)>Friend is Yin Shao>Rival is a Chaos Undivided Demon Prince>Legion has a New/Old Schism>Legion specializes Outmaneuvering the Enemy and Grand Battles>Unique Armor>Seeker Squad>Large Super Heavy>Standard speed of conquest>Conquered territories are Devoted Servants>Wealthy Domain>No interest in ruling>Loyal>Slaughtered nearly an entire enemy Legion
>>77416961LISTEN UP YOU MAGGOTS! YOU THINK YOU'RE SOMETHING SPECIAL BECAUSE A FEW XENOS SCUM GREASE THE TREAD OF YOUR BOOTS? THIS IS NOTHING! THERE IS A UNIVERSE OF CANCER OUT THERE BEYOND THE VEIL, AND WE ARE THE CHEMOTHERAPY! YOU WILL NOT SLEEP!YOU WILL NOT CRY!YOU WILL NOT RETREAT!YOU WILL FOLLOW ORDERS, YOU WILL STEP INTO THE MADNESS, AND YOU WILL PUNCH IT SQUARE IN THE JAW!YOU DO NOT KNOW THIS WAY OF WAR, I WILL TEACH YOU! YOU WILL SUFFER AT MY HANDS SO THAT YOU MAY BREAK THEIRS!YOU WILL STARE INTO THE ABYSS, AND IT WILL BLINK!
>>77417091Sounds perfect for his first meeting with his Legion
>>77416802He was the 19th 2nd to last found. Should be ok.
>>77417084Makes sense. His scholarly struggle was researching. Chaos. An impossible task.
>>77417184By Jove that's perfect

>>77417316Gorb is proof communism doesnt work even in space
>>77417322I got names mixed up. We have too many slav primarchs

>>77417423We chose Robar Stems
>>77417423I'm still a fan of Robar Stems but Bifg Hardbolt would be cool too
Rolled 2, 4 = 6 (2d4)4 more primarchs to go.so 4 numbers left right?gonna roll 2d4
>>77417464Biff>>77417442It seemed like Robar Stems was the most popular but there were a lot of suggestions and no consensus by the end of the thread. I wouldn't have any problems with Robar.
>>77417442>Robar StemsNeat. The doc is up to date now. We should start a new thread we're on page 10.Remember to include the doc in the next OP.Probs gonna bet he last thread.
