Look here for all important info: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/82993170/
Here's my second attempt at one of these. I'm not posting several posts worth of OP info again, so please just look at the old thread for relevant information.

Whether it be reaction pics, funny pics, cursed pics, filename pics, random pics, post whatever you have. The point is to make an interesting setting based on them. You can also take a pic that has been previously posted and edit it if it's OK with everyone. Just post something and add a bit of fluff to it, then let the magic do the rest!

This page is one of great fame, both within and beyond the Sultanate from which it originated. The stories behind it are many, with all peoples of the Sahil Tharium making a claim to its creation. The scholars of the House of Heavens, the sultan’s own traditional researchers, grudgingly attribute the most likely origin of this work to the artists of the city of Safed however.
Even with its Safedi origins, the meaning of the image is unclear. It is found as an entry in the Ten-Thousand Sublime Transformations, an ancient text from which Miqdaadite art was developed from, and thus may be the depiction of some ancient hero-king. This would be the simplest explanation, and give a reason as to why the figure appears to be holding court, but naturally the matter has not been left there. Many theories, some of them bordering on blasphemous, attempt to explain the roles of the seeming courtiers and the coral-like structures in the image. Perhaps they could be representations of the mind, as posited by scholars who note the positioning of the image looking much like the body parts of Mem which interact with magical forces. Perhaps, as some hidden and seditionist texts state, it is even the sole depiction of Miqdaad himself.
Regardless of hidden messages, it is a fine work.

Magically colorized picture taken by the Alkor Global Press newspaper company in Gwaejo-shi, Ercaenmedi. The prosperous port city has been a hotbed of tension since the Belkan invasion, with a radical group called "the Righteous Army" seizing power in the city and demanding the expulsion of all foreigners from Ercaenmedi. Whatever goals of realpolitik Alkor and the other Ercaenmedian backers had to use the unrest to their advantage were thrown out of the window as the citizens turned their bloodthirst against them too, citing their mediocre aid as a front to exploit Ercaenmedi in its weakened state. As protests escalated to revolt, members of the neutral Harlbourgian embassy who were providing aid in the streets barely had time to escape the encroaching mob with their heads as they pleaded the foreign garrisons stationed within the city to mount a defense of the embassies, which appeared to be the "Head-Hunters'" (as they had been colloquially called) target. With only a skeleton crew remaining within the city as allied Ercaenmedian troops had been withdrawing farther inland, an emergency military alliance was hastily agreed upon as the nine remaining garrisons gathered within the walled enclave of the embassies to prepare for a grueling siege. This revolt could not be allowed to succeed through the soldiers retreating, else it serve as fuel for the movement to grow outside of Gwaejo-shi. Of those officers who had remained, the Belkan lieutenant, Duke Miels von Biete and the Unionary boyar, Dmitry Volinsky organized a defense beside the 20 Stone Pagodas which stood beyond a series of gates. As shock troopers and streltsy held off the first wave of Head-Hunters, the rest of the troops had to be thinly spread across the perimeter of the fortifications while allied support staff hastily sent messages by monkey requesting backup. The ensuing days of siege would be harrowing for the defenders, as their food supply was cut off and help remained far away.
>>
>>83326933
Still, it was a blessing that the Head-Hunters had not managed to acquire for themselves some of the nastier weapons employed in the war, such as magically reactive bombs, wyverns, and mobile Skycannons. It was due to this fact that the defenders managed to hold out during an offensive near the Northern Wall of Harmonious Wind, as a combined Ercaenmedian-Nantean-Soukan force of a hundred men managed to hold off several hundred unarmored Head-Hunters, though a rogue necromantic curse reduced many to skeletal husks. Thanks to this good fortune, a relief force of the Western fleet arrived by sea, as marines streamed into the city to relieve the siege. During the chaos, the headquarters of the Head-Hunters in the goose lane were stormed with a vengeance. It was at this time that a military demonologist made the curious note that the young child who Belkan marines had tried to evacuate before a piece of rubble crushed them all was in fact an ancient demon of great power, and further investigation revealed that the origins of the Righteous Army movement was in fact a demonic ploy to seize control during the chaos in Ercaenmedi. If nothing else, this explained the seeming lack of proper leadership displayed by the Head-Hunters during the conflict. Following the siege of the embassies being lifted, the aforementioned photo was taken and colorized by mages. It features officers from all present parties arranged in order of height, including:
Sir Leighton Wellesley (Alkor), the famous soldier-poet who repeatedly seems to get stuck in these kind of situations when on duty.
Major Robert Lewiston (Harlbourg), an enterprising figure, whose involvement in the siege will propel his reputation in the army.
Commander Ik Ookman (Falconhead), not actually a formal officer, but a member of the storied Ti'Eftu mercenary company.
Mansabdar Ajit Singh (Miqdaad), a distant soldier from the Sultanate sent to reaffirm the religious ties between Miqdaadites and Belkans.
>>
>>83327289
Count Leopold Oswald (Belkan), the unlucky one who had to stay behind and play nice with the occupied Ercaenmedians, generally sick of it all.
Colonel Louis Foch (Nantes), a decorated, if slightly deranged veteran, surprisingly stealthy given the bright red pants he wears.
Baron Alexey Pinchevsky (Union), a minor noble from one of the many states of the Union, though no one ever figured out which one.
Lochagos Parobus Papadopoulos (Soukos), a sharpshooter from one of the rural Soukan islands, wearing its famed feathered soldier's hat.
Officer Pan Suk-Chul (Ercaenmedi), used to be the local garrison leader before all this, feels terrible about fighting his zealous kindred.

I think most of there information is here:
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Autia#Voluntas_Pact

They got an update/summary in the later threads, not sure if you saw it.

If you look through the old threads there are probably some images as well.
>>
>>83338834
That reminds me, has anyone considered adding more images in the 1d4chan? I remember reading somewhere that it’s strange that the setting was initially based off pictures, but only has one on the 1d4chan page. Also, was a reason ever given for the etymology behind names for the continents like Autia, Flickfowl, Tismo, etc., and why the world is called Autia-Tismo in the first place?
>>
>>83341132
uploading pictures is a pain in the ass, and at this point there are hundreds to choose from

Autia and Tismo are pretty self explanatory

For the others, you can probably run a key word search on the various threads to see if it was discussed, guesses below.

Flickfowl probably comes from the fact that two of the earlier races to be placed there are birds, Krraurah sounds like something a penguin would say, and Rinolsol looked like a rhino a bit originally I guess. The other 3/4 are probably references to their continent's climate.

Remind me how the Great War is going again? Also, should there be rolls for the next phase of it?
>>
>>83368313
there was a timeskip to bring the setting into the Industrial era that explained that at some point the war ended so that people could focus on fighting back demonic nations like Yr and Ignis

the war itself kind of got confusing since people kept making rolls that no one wrote for
>>
>>83369143
Makes sense, so should it just be assumed that the involved nations mostly peaced out following Ignis moving towards Autia?
>>
>>83369252
There is an explanation of how things went down on thread 21, Nantic Alliance, history section.

Basically a bunch of diplomacy and horse-trading happened so that the current war would simmer down and Nantic nations could get together and kick Yr's butt. I don't think anyone ever wrote what happened with regards to the Ignis invasion.
>>
>>83370754
I didn't particularly spend much time on the invasion, and if I were to now then I really need to reread the information about elves given during the War of Ice and Wrath and the timeskip, because the elven survivors showed up to back the nations under attack. Fairly sure it was a victory for the allied groups against Ignis.

I wasn't really going into much detail with my earlier description, and there is actually a good bit of elaboration on that front. It's the Orgrillons who contain their attempts to expand, and I think there's some kind of system based on the type of dinosaur as to how their society functions, alongside mentions in a previous thread of vassals from other races. A good thing about your complaint is that generally after the map started getting expanded, there was a lot more thought put into interaction between nations and individual culture, so it didn't feel like they just existed in a vacuum. The main entries who could be accused of doing what you mentioned are a handful of earlier nations from when the map was just of Autia.

Punished for his savagery, it would be the girdle of the sky placed by the hero Philotas during his travels in the world that would humble him, for a creature of the deep sea is anathema to the sky. Some say he sleeps today deep within the bowels of the harbor in Athiens, and that the tranquil estuary the city is centered around is simply what little water remained above his stomach upon his slumber. It is also said that if the city comes under attack, the beast will awake again, but to whose side he will come is unknown.
