Ok, so with the bestiary done and the herbarium in the way of being so, we are a bit closer to completion. Next list to be completed is the monster list, and after that, we would go back to completing lore stuff, like the wonders of the world or how the gods work.
>>
>>90316959
Also, this reminds me we need to complete the compatibility list as well, since nearly all sentient species are done.
>>
>>90316959
When are we going to turn this project into a game that can be playtested?
>>
>>90319757
Honestly, I wouldn't mind starting with the rules now, since pretty much all important pieces are in place. Still, I'm going to keep hammering in the lore, I'd like to get the 1k pages lore compendium before.
>>
>>90319793
Sweet how about laying the foundation for the character sheet layout first? We can then make up the rules along the way.

Personally I think we should go a semi OSR route, with some GURPS autism sprinkled in regarding stats and such (not race as class though since we have way to many sentient species for that). The main questions in this regard would be:
>how many playable races and subraces/cultures?
>what are the main stats we should go for?
>what are the secondary stats we and how are they influenced by the main stats?
>what racial bonuses and penalties do we include to make it balanced?
>what classes do we include and how do they differ?
>how does level progression work?
>character creation rolltables for good taste and a quick jumpstart into the game!
>what are the fighting mechanics?
>how do magic classes work mechanically? (yeah let's do that shit when absolutely everything else is done already since it will be a total clusterfuck)
>>
>>90319977
here are my personal suggestions for the main stats we should go for:

>Strenght
>Constitution
>Dexterity
>Agility
>Perception
>Intelligence
>Wisdom
>Willpower
>Charisma

optional:
>Courage
>Beauty
>Luck

>Bulgebirch
Bulgebirches, also knwon as Suckerfruit Trees, area species of plant living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. Bulgebirches are a woody tree, growing about 4-7 meters tall, often growing twisted and with their roots moving up and down into the ground. They are parasitic trees, as their roots seek and mesh with other plants’ roots, absorbing part of their nutrients. Due to this, they barely have any leaves, as they do not need that much photosynthesis. The presence of bulgebirches in an area can leave it barren and empty of plant life, and once they cannot find other plants, they will die, using the rest of their energies to sprout white blowers, which will grow flying seeds that will spread all around. The trees’ wood is no good for making buildings, as it is too brittle, but if dried correctly, it is very good as kindling.
>>
>>90322054
You've forgotten the suckerfruit part.
>>
>>90322069
>Suckerfruit
I don't know what to do about it. I was imagining the suckerfruits growing after the tree dies, but if the area has lost all plant life, they'd need to move to some other area where there are plants, and thus flying seeds would be better.
>>
>>90322120
Actually, maybe that's it. Let's see if this works.

Once the seed flies into other trees, it will sprout roots into it, growing into what it's known as a suckerfruit. From that stage, it will slowly grow roots as tendrils, anchoring itself into multiple nearby trees, to grow as fast as possible into the bulgebirch tree. This process often damages the nearby plantlife, as the rate of resource draining is quite fast, and it will slow down once the bulgebirch is big enough. Many bog inhabitants try to kill these suckerfruits if discovered early, especially if they need the produce of the local trees.
>>
>>90322120
>>90322167
they aren't fruits anon, they are rotsucker nutrient sacs
>>
>>90322172
Where does it say that? I couldn't find lore of it.
>>
>>90322299
C'mon man it's not that hard just go to the wiki page and use strg + f search for the relevant keywords.

>Rotsuckers are large winged predators of the witch's swamps that prey on those who roost there, especially those who try to climb the trees for shelter from the various dangers of the ground are at risk. They will also attack other animals, as tasty wanderers are not all that common in the Witches' Swamp. In addition, they feed on all kinds of carrion, which they suck up through their toothy trunk, which has given them their name. When angry or frustrated, Rotsuckers spit a corrosive bile. Rotsuckers are known to follow their prey from a safe distance, circling unnoticed at a considerable height until the unsuspecting victim goes to sleep. Awake travelers will only be attacked when the Rotsucker is particularly famished or when a flock of them gathers to hunt, a rare but deadly natural phenomenon in the witches swamps.

[...]
>>
>>90322330
[...]

>When a Rotsucker finds a sleeping victim, it injects its caustic bile into it. He then coats the now partially paralyzed body in a rapidly hardening tar-like liquid that he produces in glands on his abdomen. The result is a kind of hard black cocoon. The bile and its caustic fumes kill the victim in a short time, breaking it down into a thick slimy liquid. The Rotsucke then grabs the hardened cocoon, rises into the air with its powerful leathery wings and attaches the sac with its sticky saliva to one of the large, gnarled Bulgebirches (also called Suckerfruit Trees for this practice) that can be found almost everywhere across the swamps. After 5 to 7 days, the Rotsucker then drills a hole in the cocoon with the circular, jagged, ossified end of its proboscis to suck out the nutrient-rich broth.

>Every once in a while, a gang of Boglins steal these black nutrient sacs on the sly, heat them up over a fire, cut them open, and drink it as what they call "stinky soup".

>Rotsuckers are surprisingly intelligent and lead long inner monologues as they glide across the nocturnal swampy plains. However they are not capable of verbal language. To the east of the swamps rises the infamous giant Muckbark Tree (a name presumably derived from the sour-smelling, anal secretions of the Rotsuckers that almost completely cover the top of it's bark) where, contrary to their nature, the Rotsuckers gather annually to breed and lay their slimy eggs in its knotholes. The mighty dead tree corpse stands in the otherwise sparsely wooded Moderholz and not only in the mating season should a large as possible berth be made around it. Up to three hundred Rotsucker are said to have been sighted sitting and hanging all over its branches at peak mating times.

I imagine bulgebirches have some sort of symbioses with the rotsucker that helps them reproduce or they just spread through an underground root network kinda like mushrooms.
>>
>>90322350
Dammit, I completely missed it, my bad.

So would it work like this?
>Rotsuckers catch their prey and put them on a cocoon
>Then they fly them into a bulgebirch tree, maybe a hole in the upper part of it.
>Rotsuckers attach the cocoon into the tree
>After a couple of days, the rotsucker comes back to drink the cocoon

Like this? If that is the case, I imagine the rotsucker is unable to actually process the raw meat of their victims, and lets the tree use some sort of acid to melt the body into something rotsuckers can drink. The trees probably get part of the nutrients and the rotsuckers can actually get fed.
>>
>>90323807
>Dammit, I completely missed it, my bad.
Yeah the page is pretty exaustive to be fair. No problem pal, it happens! :)
Yup sounds good!
>I imagine the rotsucker is unable to actually process the raw meat of their victims, and lets the tree use some sort of acid to melt the body into something rotsuckers can drink
I think they put the cocoons their so no other creatures can steal it while the acids they injected into their victim slowly dissolves them into a liquid. When the suckerfruit is "ripe" they come back drill a hole into the outher layer and drink the liuified leftovers.
>The trees probably get part of the nutrients
Well I don't know how that would work since they are encapsulated inside the cocoon.
Maybe the smell of the "fruits" keeps parasitic insects away that would otherwise hurt the tree by gnawing on the bark or drinking it's sap though.7
This way it would still be a symbiotic relationship
>>
>>90324323
Damn sorry for all the typos.
I should start proof-reading my posts.
>>
>>90324323
Ok, so I rewrote it a bit. Would this work?

>Bulgebirches
Bulgebirches, also knwon as Suckerfruit Trees, area species of plant living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. Bulgebirches are a woody tree, growing about 4-7 meters tall, often growing twisted and with their roots moving up and down into the ground. They are parasitic trees, as their roots seek and mesh with other plants’ roots, absorbing part of their nutrients. Due to this, they barely have any leaves, as they do not need that much photosynthesis. It also forms a strange symbiosis with the creature known as rotsuckers. Rotsuckers will bring their prey to the top to the bulgebirches, in hollow areas seemingly adapted to the rotsuckers’ needs. They will leave their prey trapped and dead into closed cocoons and leave. Some speculate they do this to avoid other creatures stealing their prey, but the fact rotsuckers only use bulgebirch trees suggest a more intertwined relation. Bulgebirches grow certain root-like growths around the cocoon, suggesting they interact with the prey in some way, possibly helping the body dissolve. As the rotsucker then drinks the rest of the prey, the bulgebirch most likely absorbs whatever remains the rotsucker cannot consume, obtaining a bit of energy. The presence of bulgebirches in an area can leave it barren and empty of plant life, and once they cannot find other plants, they will die, using the rest of their energies to sprout white blowers, which will grow flying seeds that will spread all around. Some rotsuckers have also been seen taking care of bulgebirch sprouts, driving herbivores or creatures that might harm the growing tree away. The trees’ wood is no good for making buildings, as it is too brittle, but if dried correctly, it is very good as kindling.
>>
>>90324480
I'd cut the leaves completely.
I think it's suggested that the rotsuckers form the cocoon on the ground by covering the prey in a tarlike substance and then just hang it into the branches of the tree. The tree itself doesn't really interact with these sacs. As I said I think the part of the tree drinking the liquid doesn't really make sense since the rotsucker would loose part of it's meal and therefore just use another tree. They just use the Bulgebirches because they are of a high growth somewhat atypical in bog trees and also because they are a pretty common sight. It's nowhere implied that they use them exclusively, in fact the opposite seems to be true since they are said to have their largest colony in the muckbark tree which is a different kind of tree. The white flower part is cute but I'd prefer not giving these trees any redeeming qualities if that makes sense and do the thing with the underground rootwise reproduction instead. I'll leave that last part up to you to decide though.
>>
>Creepvines
Creepvines are a species of plant living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. These creeper plants are a mix of ivy and algae, often growing near trees close to the shore, sprouting their roots well deep within the water. While the outer half looks like normal ivy, the underwater half of the plant has the ability to notice the pressure it is exerted on it. If a creature of a certain size steps on it, the creepvine is able to grab it and try to sink it into the deep. The plant will only pull if the weight it detects is below a certain threshold, and will only keep pulling for a time, freeing its victim if they manage to resist for too long. The dead bodies decompose and feed the plant. One can often see if a creepvine is well fed due to the surface half of the plant growing flowers, which are a deep yellow hue. Some of the sentient species of the swamps actually harvest the water leaves from the creepvines, as an ingredient used to make building material.
>>
>>90324909
This one I like
>>
>>90324745
I've taken out the leaves part and added the root reproduction part, though I still like the flower bit. As for the bulgebirches drinking part of the prey, I imagine that they cannot drink 100% of the slop. Even if there's only a couple of drops left, that will feed the plant, it's all organic matter in the end.

>Bulgebirches

Bulgebirches also leave bits and pieces of their root underground, which can take decades to sprout into a new bulgebirch, as they wait for plant life to regrow in the area. The trees’ wood is no good for making buildings, as it is too brittle, but if dried correctly, it is very good as kindling.
>>
>>90325114
>in hollow areas
this I still have an issue with since they are said to hang them from branches which gives them a grotesue but fruitlike appearance from below which gives the tree it's nickname
>>
>>90325114
>Bulgebirches grow certain root-like growths around the cocoon,
That weird aswell since the time the corpse takes to dissolves isn't enough for a tree to grow around it and bulgebirches aren't a "moving" growth like creepvines for example. They are a type of birch after all.

towering forests of colossal mushrooms define the landscape. These giant fungi are not only a source of sustenance for the inhabitants but also a testament to the world's unique flora and fauna. Legend has it that the first settlers of Giant Step discovered these towering mushrooms and their remarkable, bioluminescent properties, leading to a harmonious coexistence between the inhabitants and the vibrant fungal ecosystem. These fungi have since become an integral part of daily life, providing shelter, sustenance, and even mystical remedies for ailments in this enchanting world.

Alfred, with his otherworldly powers, concocted a plan to give birth to himself, reckonin' that by doin' so, he'd sever them evil ties with Darth Vador and Jackie Chan. It was a twistier plan than a corkscrew in a dust storm, but he managed it, creatin' a new version of himself, untainted by the dark influences that once held him sway.

Now, this new Alfred, he's a beacon of hope, a fresh start for Giant Step, and he's on a path to lead this here world towards a brighter, untangled future. It's a tale as wild as a mustang's gallop, and only time will tell what adventures lie ahead for this self-born hero!

The stakes are high, let me tell ya, 'cause Alfred knows that if he uses his powers against Darth Vador, it'll summon a tornado that'll whisk away his loyal cow buddy, Warhammer 40k, faster than a tumbleweed in a dust storm.

So, with grit in his eyes and his heart full of courage, Alfred's plannin' to take on Darth Vador in a good ol' fashioned hand-to-hand brawl, no powers allowed. It's a showdown as tense as a bull in a china shop, and the fate of Giant Step hangs in the balance. The rebels, they aim to restore the former glory of the mighty Ukraine Empire, once conquered by the evil alliance some ten trillion years back. It's an epic struggle, and only time will tell if our hero Alfred Minesteen can strike a blow for freedom and bring the light of Ukraine back to this here land.

>Squid Island Tree
Squid Island Trees refer to a series of tree species living exclusively within the Squid Peninsula. A mix between a baobab, a maple tree and a willow, these plants seem quite ordinary at first glance. However, they have adapted to the brutal insect fauna of the region, the hell ants and hell termites. Due to the termites’ insatiable appetite for wood and plant matter, Squid Island Trees have to grow quite fast, reaching 10 meters of height in the time it takes any normal tree to reach a single meter. Their roots also sprout seeds that will grow up into another tree in case the hell termites take it down. Squid Island trees are generally quite wide, often a meter or two of diameter. Other than that, very little is known about them, since the region promises death to any would be explorer. After the earthquake that joined the island with the mainland, there have been fears of these trees invading the local forests, but the wall of fire has kept many at ease.

>Giant Mushroom
Giant Mushrooms refer to a series of fungi species living in the forests of the Fungest. These towering mushrooms grow up to a dozen meters high, often located in the most humid areas of the region. Their massive trunk-like stem holds multiple growths, sprouting vertical caps of different colors, with a massive upper cap that can reach over five meters of diameter. The caps of some of these giant mushrooms vary wildly, from flat tops to pyramidal to bizarre shapes. They exist in symbiosis with a species of lichen, allowing these mushrooms to photosynthesize as if they were plants. They spread their spores constantly, and if the sunlight shines on a certain angle, one may see the spores leaving the gills below the cap. Mushroomites tend to climb them whenever possible, checking the giant mushrooms up and down in search of potential trouble. Due to the massive size of the giant mushrooms and the diminutive stature of the mushroomites, they tend to organize in big groups to check the mushrooms effectively. They also have to make sure the mycelium roots are well ingrained into the floor, least the constant rains wash away their support an cause them to fall, destroying a chunk of the forest in the process.

It is a well known fact that various bodily fluids and excretions like blood, feces and urine can be used as potent magical reagents. Another such substance is semen. Semen of powerful magic users is known to contain their magical essence that may be absorbed by the one who injests it.
This is extremely useful for training new mages, as by having his apprentices drink his cum the master may impart on them not only his knowledge but also a share of his power. Most magical tradition of Giantstep make use of this method with some variations, like the Urinomancers and Scatomancers who, as one would expect, prefer to use urine and feces for this purpose instead.
It is of course not enough to simply consume wizard semen once or twice. A steady diet of cum is necessarry for long-term effects to take hold. The effectiveness is also directly proportional to the donor mage's power. Because of that the cum of great wizards is highly sought after, and in some places wizard cum is sold in specialty magical stores. There have also been many efforts and experiments undertake by the great semen alchemists, known as cumancers, to study and enhance the magical properties of semen and create more potent cumbrews by mixing the semen of several powerful magicians.

>White Death Plant
White Death Plant, also known as the White Vine, is a type of tree originated from the Kinnog Jungle. The plant is a short vine, often not growing taller than a meter high, and needing a lot of support to grow correctly. In nature, it often grows near rocks or dead trees, and it does so with relatively speed. Its leaves are circular, with a pure white hue with green spots and stripes here and there, hence the name. While at first glance it does not look particularly noteworthy, a group of alchemists belonging to the Hydra’s Eyes crime syndicate discovered that their leaves could be used to create a powerful and highly addicting narcotic, known as “White Death”. The popularity of the drug has seen the plant being grown in quite a lot of areas of Western Giantstep and Scimitarian, and even some areas in Eastern Giantstep. The spread of the drug has made many governments ban its use, and so the plant is nowadays grown in areas ruled by crime and the underground. It has also been left to grow into the wild into new areas, as a possible way to avoid detection by the authorities.

>Whickraz
Whickraz are a species of fungus originated from the Ashland Desert. They are a mix of mushroom and tuber, growing mostly underground. Their mycelium can reach quite a long distance below ground, digging as much as possible beneath the volcanic ashes in the region. The upper part of the mushroom is only loosely rooted on the ground, as the frequent ash rains can and do bury them under layers of soot. Due to this, the whickraz’ mycelium have enough strength to move the tuber up and down, both to protect it from the elements and to avoid being chocked underground. Below the mycelium, the whickraz grow a series of storage organs, keeping it fed even during the harshest ash storms, which are similar to potatoes and radishes, with a dark purple hue. These “tubers” are is highly poisonous due to the composition of the soil, absorbing many volcanic elements within them. The runaan, however, are able to consume them, gathering them during the night to either feed themselves or to feed their animals.

>Datura Insania
Datura Insania, also known as the Hell’s Trumpets, is a species of plants originated in the swamps of the Bog Witch. It is a small bush, barely growing 33cm of height, and often located in areas like rock crevices, rotten tree trunks or under the protection of bigger trees. Its flowers are a light pinkish white, very elongated and conical. At the center of the flowers, datura insania produce a sap with psychedelic properties. In particular, this substance alters the victim’s auditory perception. They will begin to hear louder and louder noises, to an even higher pitch and intensity that their hearing can even sense. Since these noises are actually coming from their brain and not their hearing sense, even if the victim tries to pierce their eardrums, it will not help. If they have taken a big enough dose, this increasing noise will drive the victims to madness, all without actually damaging their hearing. Outside of that, datura insania is also used to give extra spice to beef stew.

>Deadly Nightshade
Deadly Nightshade is a species of plant originated from the swamps of the Bog Witch. This vine specializes in taking root directly on other plants, in particular the high branches of tall trees, parasitizing them. Their roots actively go through the bark and into the big tree, growing downwards from them. They then begin to sprout blue flowers in the shape of a four-pointed star. Skillful brewers can concoct a substance with these flowers that allows the user to see in the dark, albeit by leaving them color-blind for as long as the effects last. However, only the most skilled alchemists and brewers can actually produce this concoction, since otherwise, an amateur hand will only produce a powerful poison.
>>
>Gallows Flower
Gallows Flower is a species of mushroom originated from the swamps of the Bog Witch. It has a shape of a giant flower, almost two meters of diameter, with six massive petals and a meaty center. Despite this, the Gallows Flower is actually a mushroom, growing its mycelium all around the other trees. Instead of spreading spores all year long, it only reproduces during certain periods of time. During those days, it will quickly grow a series of branch-like protrusions from the central body, tall enough to actually break through the swam ceiling, and in the tallest areas. These branches can actually reach 70 meters tall, and once fully grown, they will sprout fat sacks, full of spores. After this, either the birds and insects will eat them or the sacks will fall into the ground, spreading the spores all around. The remaining branch-like structure is left dead and will fall off the flower. Some sentient species in the swamps give the Gallows flowers religious veneration, and will sacrifice animals and people to it, hanging them while the plant is still growing, slowly choking them as the branches go higher and higher, until their feet no longer touch the ground and die.

>Deadly Nightshade
Deadly Nightshade, also known as belladonna, is a species of plant growing in the swamps of the Bog Witch, as well as other humid regions around the area. They grow in the form of shrubs, reaching 2 meters of height at most, though they often stay smaller in the harsh environment of the swamp. Their berries are small, black and round, and often rolling around once they fall from the shrub. These fruits are used by the inhabitants of the swamps to make wheat wraps, gaining a great deal of popularity as a food. Many also grow belladonna in potted plants, to keep a constant access of belladonna berries. The process of cooking them is to clean and stew them during the wet season for hours, creating a paste that can then be given shape. It can also be further mashed and mixed with water, to marinate meats. The products made out of belladonna often have decent healing abilities, especially effective against the fevers that one can catch in the swamps. However, cooks need to be quite careful about it, as any misstep in the process will result in at best, an irritant, medically unsound dish often inducing blood vomiting and loose bowels. The most knowledgeable and unscrupulous individuals in the swamp actively corrupt the process of berry cooking to produce these highly painful poisons.

>Kratovyan Grape Vine
Kratovyan Grape Vines is a species of plant growing in many areas of Western Giantstep, in particular the Scabbard Range. It is a type of grape vine that used to be quite widespread in Western Giantstep and Scimitarian, due to its quick growth and ease of production, as it needs little attention for it to grow healthy. Kratovyan Grape vines produce a green grape, which can be used to produce sweet wine. Their grapes need to be taken from the vine relatively quickly, and as such, they cannot grow to a certain size, or absorb more nutrients, but in exchange, they can produce multiple harvests during winter. However, the spread of the Black Stallion Grape Vine made the popularity of Kratovyan Grape Vines plummet. Black Stallion Grape Vines, despite needing much more attention and care, are considerably more productive, as well as being much more resistant to phylloxera plagues, and the red wine it produces is much more sought after. Due to this, kratovyan grape vines are grown in much smaller scales as before, often being produced as a side income for small farms.

atropa belladonna and deadly nightshade is the same exact plant and doesn't need a description since it's an ordinary plant just like a stinging nettle

Ok, I've reworked the page of the sentient species list. I've added all the descriptions that were lacking, and added some of the descriptions that were there (we need to check the summaries to see if they coincide with their descriptions). Also, to avoid repeating text, I've just put links to the descriptions for those that are explained elsewhere. Any suggestions?

I didn't add that because we haven't left anything solid about that, only the lore.

There was a clasification made, but I cannot find it in the threads. Something ranging from level 1 to 5 depending on the degree of spread.

>Muckbark Tree
Muckbark Trees are a species of plant living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. A strange type of maple tree, it can grow up to 10 meters of height. To protect itself from parasites, the bark of the tree quickly produces a dense gunk-like sap, trapping many insect within the sap. The level of sap production is such that it can drown even bog fey, if they are not careful. Many groups in the swamps use this sap to produce glues and other chemical adhesives. They also use them to make amber necklaces, though the darker hue of the muckbark sap makes its amber less valuable.

>Northern Citrus
Northern Citrus are a group of about a dozen species of plants originated from the west of Littlestep, in particular the lands of the Orange Marquisates. They include a mix of oranges, lemons, limes and tangerines, all which share similar series of characteristics. The most obvious is their resistant to cold, allowing them to grow in areas where other citrus species would end up dying. They are also highly productive, allowing multiple harvests all year long. Northern Citrus are also slightly smaller than regular citrus, and the skin from their fruit is drier and thicker, protecting the insides from the cold. The importance of the citrus production is key for the Orange Marquissates, who are the main producers of northern citrus in the world, though there have been attempts to grow them in areas from the Princedom of Platinum or the Kingdom of Copper. The marquisates’ citrus are a fundamental part for the diets of sailors, since citrus are highly effective against scurvy, and the geographical position of the marquisates makes the northern citrus a highly demanded product all year long. The high profits of this market makes the citrus production one of the main conflict drives between the marquisates. The fruits of northern citrus are often eaten by themselves, but there are also examples of production of other goods with them, such as many different types of wine, the most famous of all being a rosé wine made by combining fermented grapes and oranges, giving it a tinge of extra sweetness.

>Toadstool
Toadstools are a species of fungus living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. A big mushroom, it grows up to 2 meters, with a somewhat flat cap of 3 meters of diameter. The underside of the cap produces a sweet scent, attracting thousands of insects that drink a sap-like substance produced by the mushroom. In return, the toadstool fills all these insects with spores, helping them reproduce. Froglings and toadlings like to perch on it while they eat flies.

>Scatterweed
Scatterweed is a species of plant grown in the land of Sniden. It is a type of long grass that sprouts multiple leaves from a single nod. This grass is a light brown shade, and it would be mistaken for regular garden weeds if not for its geometrical shape, similar to multiple diamonds attached to one another, forming almost mathematically perfect angles. This weed is the main ingredient used to make the scatterweed drug, which appeared after the arrival of the faerie lord Adonis to Sniden. This drug is believed to give mystical visions, ranging from images from the future to hearing strange voices in an unknown langue. The drug also causes a sense of fullness and satisfaction, stopping from worrying about any problem. It is used to keep the population of Sniden, in particular the higher echelons of the government, fully and completely loyal to Adonis. The drug can be consumed both by smoking the scatterweed leaves, which is the most common method of consumption, and by grinding them down and snorting them, which while it is more potent, it has the risk of causing serious side effects.

>Red Lotus
Red Lotus is a species of plant groing alongside many rivers in Western Giantstep. It grows both at the river banks and on the water itself. The plants grows a pad of sorts, from which a deep red flower with 16 petals, 8 major and 8 minor petals. The flower itself has had no use for centuries other than ornamentation, as it was considered a flower of great beauty and elegance. However, all changed with the rise of the Cult of the Red Lotus. The followers of Dihong Xinjianng consider the Red Lotus as a sign of the compact between the "Great and Holy Celestial Father of All" and them, and they use it as their symbol, using it to identify themselves. Because of this, the Red Lotus has been seen as synonymous of the cult itself, and any possession of a red lotus is immediately cause for suspicion, especially in Changrila. Nowadays, the Red Lotus only exists in the wild, and its use in iconography or ceremony is utterly forbidden.

>Sleep Poppy
Sleep Poppies are a species of plant growing in and around the lands of Florinth. Sleep Poppies are small herbaceous plants, which grow up to 20 cm of height. Their flowers have 4-6 petals covering a central nucleus from which it produces pollen. The pollen of these flowers can cause fatigue in humans and other sentient species, and in high enough concentrations, can cause complete debilitation and even coma. While concentrations high enough to cause this are rare, the florinthians keep roads well maintained to ensure travelers can move between areas safely. From the blossoms, the florinthians can produce a perfume, which highly heightens their attraction to the opposite sex. It is banned in most foreign countries, extremely expensive, and requires much technique to use properly, as too little will not have the desired effect, while too much means it cannot be washed off easily, and will draw unwanted attention in high traffic areas. Despite this, demand is high enough for florinthians to harvest sleep poppies in big plantations, often with the excuse that they also produce a medicine against insomnia as a front.

Also, I found the "Devil's Poppy" in the Avangar page. That needs to be added to the herbarium as well.

>Demon’s Poppy
Demon’s Poppy is a species of plant growing in the Elyrian Swamps, east of Littlestep. This plant is small, barely growing about 10cm above the ground, though it does grow a much longer system of roots that one would expect, as they mostly reproduce by stolons. Their “flowers” are actually a different type of leaf, growing taller and in a different hue imitating a poppy flower. The reasons for why the plant grows this is believed to imitate a poisonous plant that grew in the region, using a type of aposematic dimorphism. The plant has psychedelic properties, ranging from the total nullification of pain to entering into a berserker rage, making people absolutely fearless even in the face of certain death. Many of the warriors of the Avangar Empire have taken to its consumption, to the point of having become a mainstay in elyrian cuisine and life. Some of the dark wizards also use them for their rituals. In result, large part of the population has developed a mild addiction the Demon's Poppy, while its supply has lessened due to the destruction of the swamp's habitat. The plant has not been able to being grown in high quantities artificially, often needing pottery and very specific conditions for its development.

>Pox Fungus
Pox Fungi are a species of fungus that lives in the swamps of the Bog Witch. Pox fungi are mushrooms of conical shape, with the cap being about 10cm of diameter. They are covered in deep reed spots, which exude a pinkish liquid all around, which has a terrible stench that attracts insects and repels possible predators. Consuming it causes symptoms near identical to smallpox, with fever, vomits and massive rashes all around the body. However, the disease is much easier to heal than actual smallpox, as the victim only needs to rest until the body manages to expel all traces of the mushroom.

>Sausage Tree
Sausage Trees are a species of plants that grow in the Glutton Island. A tree originated by the divine influence of God of Gluttony, it is seemingly an acacia that grows up to 8 meters high. These plants grow massive flowers, made out of bacon and with stamens of bread. Once the flower is pollinized, often after a rain of sauce, they will grow into sausages, which will taste of different meats depending on who consumes them.

>Strangle Ivy
Strangle Ivy is a species of plant that grows in the swamps of the Bog Witch. A strange alchemical creation of unknown origin, the strangle ivy is a modified version of kudzu. From a seed the size of a human fist, the plant needs to be coated with a particular chemical to begin sprouting. However, once it does, it will grow at blinding speed, to the point of asphyxiating any other plant, and even animals that are caught between its roots and branches. Its growth will reach about 15 meters of diameter from the seed, and once it has grown as much as possible, it will begin sprouting a handful of strangle ivy seeds. Then, the plant will die, solidifying and trapping anything under it. Since the seeds need a very specific chemical to activate its growth, a chemical that does not appear naturally in the wild, its growth is unable to swarm and destroy the entire swamp. The danger of this plant is such that many groups forbid their use, and any local authority will try to destroy their seeds if they are ever discovered.

Mustwood trees are a species of plant living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. Mustwood trees are a species of mangrove that grows near bodies of fresh water. Their wood is actually much more flexible than that of other species of trees, and it is frequently used for the construction of structures in areas of high winds, as it tends to crack and crumble much less than other woods. However, it needs to be treated with certain chemical products to avoid being eroded by insects and other parasites.
