You are Subject 108, also known as Whirlpool.

You are very excited to begin your mission. In fact, you are so enthusiastic about it that you are one of the very few who volunteered instead of being chosen. All that time spent studying, working out and whining definitely paid off.

However, before you begin you need to establish some variables.

Let's start with something simple: Are you a male, or a female?

I anticipated this

Although you possess the biological organs of both genders, you look less androgynous and lean more towards the feminine side of the spectrum.

To your surprise, you are given the free choice of choosing the location of your new adventure. After all, it would be a waste of energy attending matters you are not interested in.

Your choices are:
>EARTH
You will be sent to a random point in the familiar blue planet. To avoid overcrowding with multiple subjects, you will be sent to someplace more obscure.

>ARCTURUS
A frigid planet encased in a war between different races. This planet has untapped resources but it is deep beneath its icy shell.

>CYMBIO IV
A feral planet covered in swamps and jungles. It is teeming with dangerous organisms and intense humidity.

>TALSHURM
A mostly-aquatic planet home to an underwater civilization, unstable weather at the surface, and fish, lots and lots of fish.

It's settled, you will brave the hostile fauna of Cymbio IV.

There's one more step before your deployment: You have to allocate points to customize your suit profile. Unlike the others, you are issued an older model, thus more limited in customization.

You start off with 1 in each stat with 5 points to distribute.

In a planet filled with vicious predators and other life-threatening animals, it pays to be able to mobilize quickly and take a hit when needed. Your SPATIAL DISTORTION remains POOR but you can always upgrade your suit later on.

During the landing descent, you hit an animal doing its thing. Even before you left your REPAIR MODULE, you've already scored a solid kill.

Unfortunately, the only powers you have is connected to your DIVING SUIT, and its SPATIAL DISTORTION is marked at POOR—only allowing you to traverse space through puddles.

Meanwhile, your MOBILITY is marked at EXCELLENT, allowing you to perform a daring acrobatic feat and latch onto the tree. It feels sorta slimy but nothing that'll make you slip.

Wait what. The tree itself decided to latch onto YOU. How did you not see this coming?

You fantasize how the situation will emulate the animated erotica you've enjoyed back at home. Those green tentacles ripping off your suit to reveal your vulnerable, human form ready for sexual ravaging. Then you'll bear the tree's seed and eventually give birth to a plant-human hybrid who will-

You snap back to reality and find yourself slowly being dropped to some kind of maw. Unfortunately, reality is often far more disappointing than you think. For one thing, your suit is too durable to be torn like basic clothing. Another thing is that the alien tree seems more interested in eating you literally than figuratively.

You try to lift the corpse like an oversized meat-poncho, but manage to drag it a few meters before deciding to use it like some kind of barricade.

Your helmet detects no other inherent danger. The alien trees don't count for either it's classified as "plant life" or your digital bestiary is not yet updated. However, your helmet is picking up strange signs in one of those trees.

You return to your REPAIR MODULE and find it relatively undisturbed since your arrival. It's covered in moss-rich dirt, plant debris and some animal blood. Its durable enough to survive the immense impact of your landing.

Your REPAIR MODULE uses advanced molecular reconstruction to make repairs and modifications to your suit. Any technologies or objects brought into the module can be applied in reconstruction, but results may vary depending on the material used.

Although the module comes with its own power source (and backup utilities in case of power failure), it consumes large amounts of power and cannot be used frequently. It has finished recharging however you don't feel like it's worth using it right now.

You start inefficiently wiping off the gunk and debris that's been covering your REPAIR MODULE. You can't clean it completely but you've managed to remove most of the stains. With some neat tricks using your suit's MATTER MANIPULATION UNIT, you effortlessly flip the REPAIR MODULE right-side-up.

Aside from repairing and reconstructing your suit, recharging the suit's power supply and acting as an improvised shelter; there's little else it can do with it. You do receive a wireless message and you're sure it did not come from the REPAIR MODULE.

>Sorry: Your suit does not support pre-installed messages and took me a while to find your location. Anyway, all subjects are given a set of objectives to complete, you are not exempt.

>Primary Objective: Our civilization is dying of thirst. Collect water and dump it through your provided porthole to transport it and help replenish supplies.

>Secondary objective: None, actually. The scientists have decreed not to give you the ever-so-boring task of dumping black goo. Besides, it might make Cymbio IV's hostible biosphere worse.

Wow, she's probably very impoverished, or hails from a primitive civilization.

>>122216
You're feeling a bit uneasy about this idea. For one thing, recycling her biomass might actually weaken your suit. Then there's the fact that she's still alive despite her unconsciousness and she could still be saved. Plus, alien or not, the thought of undeserving murder would make you vomit had it not been for the LIFE EXTENDER shot rendering your hunger unneeded.

You do a little arts and crafts on the large creature's corpse from earlier and scavenge a makeshift blanket. It's a bit smaller than you planned, your HARPOON keeps tearing off chunks from the corpse and lose even more material.

You then drag her into your REPAIR MODULE and lock her inside. You're aware that it will only activate when you're inside and you want it to. You just hope the humanoid stays asleep long enough for you to return or the in-built security system will kill her.

Nothing so far here seems rigid enough to use as a divining rod. (And you're not erect either) You make do with your HARPOON even though you actually have no idea how divining really works. You just point your instrument at a direction and hope you get something good.

You start seeing less and less freaky alien trees and more of those blue buds, some of which have bloomed into a flower. Hopefully this isn't some kind of pollen field.

Eventually you arrive near a moat, littered with blue flowers everywhere. In the distance, a large structure made out of scrap metal is situated on the island.
