The firekeeper fluttered a bit after granting you strength. She looked a bit exhausted.

her voice was frail "Seek Yurex [/b[, Vessel of Ash, He was once a vessel of ash but he forsook his duty. You will find him in the far west, past the Pilgrim's woods. Speak to him, he will grant you enough knowledge to face the other vessels...or perhaps, you want to explore this barren world more? All is up to you."

You headed back to the village where the sorcerer was attending her father's grave.

She was bit surprised upon seeing you "So you have defeated the guardians of the sanctuary. I..thought you were marching for your death. I misjudged you, you have my apology."

She paused gazing at the ruined sanctuary "Perhaps i can aid you in your journey. Show me enough wit and intelligence and i will teach teach basic but efficient sorceries . Bring me a medium first...a catalyst and we shall begin, pupil." there was eagerness in her voice with a hint of gratitude. Perhaps the role of a mentor was a fantasy of her.... a dream coming true.

Araile was heading for the sanctuary.

You headed to the south. On your way, you found a dead corpse clutching to a small bag. Upon further inspection, you found x10 throwing knives .

You were surprised to find a body of water neighboring a desert of ash. it would reach your waist at its deepest reach. The water was somewhat clear yet thick to transverse.

The land below your feet....it didn't feel right; it was slimy in nature. A perfect spot for the graves of the unwary.

Out of the shallow water, a couple of gelatinous bodies rose from their slumber, They resembled some sort of a budding swaying itself left and right at a snail's pace.

Their unsettling smile on their 'face' troubled you the most, they were approaching you, very, very slowly.

_____ Ioa's Sea _____

You took a couple of brave steps into this strange sea. The cries grew with each second troubling you.

In a few moments, four abominations were moving very very slowly towards you. They were fallen knights claimed by the evil that lurked here. they were mostly covered in pulsating green ooze. Three of them had spears while the captain had a long sword and a sturdy shield. Your movement in water was greatly slowed giving them a slight advantage. Still, their movement was sluggish and slow.

Sadly, their armour merged with their bloating flesh you had no use for it. Their weapons, however, were fair game.

>Longsword/Spear/Kite shield of Coris

Weapons crafted in the forge of Coris. Sturdy and efficient to the able hands.
Coris was a land of blight with a horrible curse looming amongst her people.

You found a strange creature in the horizon, it was a giant amalgamation of corpses, women to be precise. it was already gutted wide open spreading black foul blood in the sea.

Invading another world as a dark spirit

Invading another world as a dark spirit

____

It was your first time crossing another world, it felt odd and nauseating. Nevertheless, you had a target. It must be eliminated. You found yourself in a different version of Ashen end; you saw trees reaching the very skies about forming pillars of fire and smoke.

The world was burning.

The orb showed you your target; A savage of a man with little clothes wielding a giant butcher knife. His eye spoke of bloodlust, he claimed lots of souls in his lifetime.

Your search in this smoldering land was tedious but you eventually found the man near the only standing tower in the area.

You saw a myriad of corpses littered on the ground. As a dark spirit, you could only attack your target. That's it.

"Another one? You will never understand....This....this is MY world!! there is no one left! None! None! None! None! NONE!" The man has lost his mind already as he was charging towards you.

"I am not done yet..." The man forcibly grabbed you with one arm. The other started a brilliant flame, A flame that consumed you both. He spent the last of his strength making sure that you won't get away with it.

_____YOU DIED_____

You returned to your world with the taste of death in your mouth. you could still feel the flames nibbling your flesh and bones and yet you didn't come back empty handed; You died last, in turn, you absorbed his souls.

With this hefty amount of souls, you went back to the Sanctuary to draw strength from the firekeeper...

Only to witness the slaughter ahead....

You found the corpse of Araile. it was forcibly naked, mutilated to the extremes. Deep slashes ruined her face, bosom and belly.

Next was the firekeeper, she shared the same fate, she was rendered legless. Judging by the trails of blood and flesh, she was toyed with

The fire tended its keeper. In a handful of minutes, The firekeeper was legless no more. She was reborn from the fire that bounded her in this world.

With nothing but her silver ring, she looked at you and Araile's corpse "Forgive me, vessel of Ash, I...I....he..."

Soon the firekeeper started to cry from what was done to her.

"Thank you, I may now resume my duty..." clearly, she was still shaken from the experience.

A greatbow made from bones of large creatures, requires extreme patience to fire. Hunters used to roam Loaane's domain for bigger games. They called themselves the Wicks of Ostian. it wasn't a surprise that said hunters used weapons of great proportions to hunt beasts bigger than themselves.

It was Silverarm Regras . He was tangled in battle with Shard Livenne, the dark Pilgirm you ignored. Things were going for him. He was about to achieve his goal in mere moments until you showed up.

The betrayer went invisible with an audible sigh. He wanted to engage on his terms. He was fleeing away in high speed leaving small trail of blood from his and Livenne's wounds.

To carry Shard Livenne, You had to deposit your greatbow in your bottomless box. She was losing blood. Fast.

At some point during the journey, Shard Livenne fell unconscious. She wasn't dead, yet but she was getting very cold.

You found yourself face to face to the betrayer . He gave you an applause for your noble deeds. He had a gaping hole in his armour courtesy to Shard Livenne's dark magic.

"Well now, It seems we meet again. If you were a better shot, we wouldn't have this conversation. You have something I desire. I am not willing to part without my juicy flesh."

He laughed hysterically for no reason "Believe it or not, I have no quarrel with you. I only desire the souls and flesh of women. The purer they are, the better. Leave my flesh on the ground and I will not harm you. On my word."

Shard Livenne was getting paler. She didn't have much time in this world.

"Embarrassing" It wasn't a simply slash this time. No, It was a flurry of slashes over your chest. Silverarm cleaved your left arm in one swipe before a swift kick to your abdomen sending you on the ashen ground.

You mustered enough strength to stand up. You were feeling disoriented and shocked from your recent grave wounds. Your vision was getting blurry. Your time on this world was dwindling.

Yet, you channeled all your strength in one last move.

Silverarm has underestimated you for too long. In the last moment of your charge, you made an unexpected move to confuse the betrayer followed by a clean stab to the chest in this the weakest spot of his lavish armour.

Regras coughed blood, it dripped through his mask. He backed away after landing another kick to your abdomen.

He panted heavily, you definitely punctured his lungs. Despite his pain, he clapped "B...ra....vo. This sense of mortality....I haven't had it in...in...years. You can....hav..e her. You earned it. We will settle this...later." [/red] [/i] Again, he became invisible to the world.

You had no strength to pursue him let alone stand up. With your peripheral vision, you spotted the lifeless lips of Shard Livenne.

"Much Obliged, Master." Kesp soon left you in a hurry. You too had to leave; you went back to the spot where you were killed.

It was unsettling to see your corpse stripped clean. It gave you an uncanny sensation. You found the pilgrim's corpse. She was cold as ice.

You carried her corpse all the way to this shrine to the west. You found dozens of corpses kneeling towards the grim shrine at the end of a cliff. Some were still breathing, they were crying to their deaths. A handful of hollows wandered around the corpses probably guarding them. Every last one of them was wielding a dark scythe dripping black substance on the blighted ground.

The remnants of a gate caught your attention, A blue tinted hollow had pile of black robes next to him, he extended his arms with a folded robe resting on his hands.

When the scythe follows saw you with the pilgrim, they howled in anger raising their scythes against you.

"Stop." a soft voice commanded the hollows, a small man descended from the shrine towards the crowd you gathered, he wore a silky black robe exposing a small portion of his soft midriff. he wore a black coronet with a black gem in the middle. a thin veil did a fine job in obscuring his face, his pale lips weren't covered, it extended to the ground. His delicate hands were bare and decorated with three black rings.

"What is this, I require an explanation..." he was perturbed by the sight of a dead pilgrim.

"I....see" he paused delving in some deep thought. " I am High shard Sordine. I thank you from the depth of my heart for returning one of our own."

He slowly bowed before landing a gentle kiss on your hand, his lips were cold and somewhat wet. While this was inappropriate, you chose silence for now "Here.... a gift. Other shards will not attack you....unless you attacked them first of course..."

He slowly turned his back, two hollow brutes opened the doors of the shrine "Do come with me, Bringer of sorrow, we have more important matters to discuss..."

You followed the high shard to a locked hallway inside the shrine. You hadn't much time in oogling the beautiful architecture of the shrine's interior as you headed straight to this hallway. You and the high shard took some stairs which eventually led you to what you assume to be his private chamber.

It was somewhat luxurious with lots of well crafted furniture and a lavish bed. High shard Sordine started the conversation "Now...we are all alone. There is no need to hide your true identity. You are yet another vessel of Ash. Another bringer of sorrow."

The high shard continued
"You are pursuing a lie. What good comes from rekindling an age where men were herded to their deaths by this so called gods? Look around you, Vessel of Ash, gods are no more....."

He finished his words with the following "These last vessels of flame are a constant threat to our reign, the reign of man. Pursue them and smother them in the name of the dark lord so the age of fire will never have a chance for a rekindle. Pledge yourself to the true lord of men...the lord of the dark soul."

You left the barren waste of the ashen end and headed towards the strange sea of Ioa. you could still those cries echoing in the air.

You felt so...small and negligible compared to this large body of water. You climbed a small jotting boulder to assess what was around you.

A large rock formation was in the dead center of the sea. You could spot a pile of ash on the very top. Yes, this is an Emberless Ash where vessels of ash are reborn over and over from this pile.

A shipwreck awaited you in the east. You had no clue how this ship wound up here; the water was extremely shallow for it

To west, A group of fallen Coris soldiers wandered aimlessly, they seemed to guard something of importance

You ignored the cries and headed to the east, the further you progressed, the more small animal bones you had to crush and step on.

You approached the shipwreck, gnawed bones of men were piled on the sides of the ship but you did not care. You wanted to meet her...to dive into her glorious bosom ... forever ....

You entered the ship via a glaring breach in the hull where you found strange creature drooling for you arrival.

Their upper portion resembled a woman but the rest varied from one to another; some were more of a slug rather than a woman. Others had various slimy tendrils for legs and so on. None dared to take a step ahead of the main figure in the center of the hull.

She was the closest there was to a woman. She covered most of her face under her black short hair. while she hid her body under a black dress. You could swear that you saw something wiggling there. A large tendril sprouted from the top of her head oddly resembling a braid of sort.

She was so eager and excited to see you "My,my my! We haven't had a human in a while! I could just cut you to bits! No no no too messy....I will swallow you whole! Raw? Why raw? I will roast you first...bah! Decisions! Decisions! My head!"

Her petit mouth fouled many as it opened wide open in a line that went all the way down through her neck to accommodate large prey.

However, she backed away as soon as she saw your hand "Aaaah! Servant of dark! We hate you! We hate you! We hate you!!!! You flesh is as foul as your dark lord! Now leave us be! You...you monster!"

The woman in center backed away to her kin who huddled her. She looked agitated from your presence. Others hissed at you but none dared to attack. It was odd to witness such a childish behavior. There were various valuables littered around their lair.

You awfully sound more like us...lured and tricked by servants of the dark to defile nations. What has become of us, it is our fault for seeping through the darkness of man..." A laugh escaped her lips.

" We, Morvanne Delisis, can cure this brand but we need two wonderful souls. your box radiates with one. You only require another....then again, there might be other ways to cure the brand...." again, she laughed.

Ring of the lost urges you to go east

The cries of the child grew more as you progressed further into Ioa's sea. The pitch was getting higher. It was painful to continue down south.

A green banner was struck in the ground. It was somewhat worshiped by seven dolls wielding small but deadly weapons mainly daggers and picks. The dolls were covered in slime and yet it wouldn't hinder their movement unlike your current state. They were made out of old crackled woods, shackles still decorated their hands and feet. They weren't paying any attention to you.

You took a few steps towards them. One of the dolls hissed when it heard your footsteps. A dagger was immediately thrown at you. You blocked it with your sturdy shield.

One stood behind the banner while the others formed a circle around you, your back was exposed at every angle. A familiar spear struck one of them , it twitched briefly as the spear pierced its head.

"Shoy Lukay! Fight with honour you little vermins!"

It was Lishro

She was a bit drunk but she held her small katana with a steady grip. The dolls were blown away by the assault. You joined the fray as well with your axe. The dolls were pretty frail . Alone, they posed no threat....You and Lishro broke their unity and their soulless husks.

When the fight was over, you grabbed the banner of Coris, It radiated subtle power

When you told her about the sanctuary she seemed perturbed "I long for rest but I must find Honorable Giznru. My duty is above all else even myself. Again, I thank you for this kind gesture."

Lishro looked at horizon , hope glimmered in her eyes "Beyond this sea, lies a ruined kingdom. It is said that a crow lives on the very top of the king's palace. She is old, wise....perhaps your goals lies in Fallen Coris as well? if not then...I...Will..will you help me to reach the crow? She is my only hope to find Honorable Giznru"
