Find Tapac and ask the retired god about the Lightbringer responsibility concerning the dungeon under the Keep and the book that controls the world located there.
Also, about the impending demon invasion and any advice he has for us to prepare for it.

Other items were to buy up the children on the slave market and put them in the orphanage, and preparing to capture the succubus tribes that have gone feral and relocating them.
Oh, and the invasion of Alquira; is that being delayed till after Mako's birthday?

Yes we are waiting for Mako's coming of age. As for those other stuff, I remember them, I was asking specifically for what else were we meant to do with Miel.

I remember we were going to take her to see the other hives, but dont remember what else, yet feel like there was something, and I dont mean cutesy lewds

Alright then, but I cant help feeling we're forgetting something.

Ah, remind me of our littlest sibling's names? it was a super ridiculously busy week and my head seems to think its sunday. Yesterday I thought it was saturday because honestly it was just too eventful a week.

***

We quickly collect the cute princesses and invite them to dinner.
It is fine because it is just a family meal.
It's fine.
It surely is fine.
It's fine, right?

Aritsu was sitting in the library, working on a schedule for the research groups to use the central experimentation table in the main lab.

After all, we have multiple projects going on at the same time, and since they are all making progress more or less randomly, its hard to organize the use of the facilities.

As usual, she looks really cute in her uniform, doesn't she?
This serious beauty is leaning over the sheets on the desk with a small frown on her pretty face, while the tip of her long ears go 'pon pon' somehow as they move up and down.

By the way, they don't actually make any noise, but in my mind's eye, I can see the onomatopya floating near their tips. It is a very cute scene.

Since the last time we came back from the orc's baths, she's been styling her hair in two tall, widely spread long and loose ponytails.

Twintails is the best.
It mixes the natural beauty of a girl's long hair, with the neck, shoulder and back exposure of tomboyish short hair.
Also, the way her ears flicker whenever their tips get tickled by the cascading hair is cute.

Aritsu is indeed a very cute elf girl, after all.

Uhmm... there's practically noone else in the library already.
Well, its only natural since it's late in the evening.
There's still sunlight, but its near dinner time, after all.

Oh, by the way, she's still wearing her shool jacket even though its fairly warm inside the library. It may be the result of us teasing her about how nice her figure looks in her school shirt, but we weren't lying, so it couldn't be helped.

It seems the princess is surprisingly self conscious about how others see her.

I checked the archives.
With Miel we were going to check on our garden at the island manor, check on her daughters at the major hives (Eopolis, Mantequira), give our pets a chance to stretch their legs/wings and walk around outside, and ask Miel how she feels being the Empress of the largest nation on the planet.
Also checking some of the outlying hives to see how their patrols for ERROR's have gone.

Approaching from behind, we gently place our hands on hers atop the table, very gently 'catching' her as we lean down to kiss her a little bit.

"Good girl. You are working hard." -we say as our lips separate
"This much is nothing much..."

We smooch her cheek, and give the tip of her ear a slightly sharp bite as we caress her neck for a second.

"Ah! Eldric, d-dont bite my ears!" -she says with a tiny tear hanging from her eyes
"It's Aritsu's fault because your reactions are so cute every single time."
"No it is not, please don't do it." -she says softly

I'm sorry princess, but when you react in such a cute manner, you have zero persuasive power, you know?

"Please wrap up, we are having dinner at my house in a little bit."
"But I was planning to work for a little longer..." -she objects softly as we continue smooching her ear and cheek
"Rejected. Your 'little longer' really means "all night" doesn't it? cĀ“mon, let's get some food inside you."
"...fumu. Alright, since it is president saying so."

>largest nation on the planet.

Thats not really true yet. She has what, about 7 hives? thats just a small nation. They are however very far apart so maybe you are talking about overland territory? but they are also sort of guests in other countries.

Not a single hive has its 'own' land right now. We could fix that by expanding towards the east and southwest, though, since those areas are mostly empty.

Also, with the hiveships, they will really be more of a roaming civilization than a immobile country, no?

That's what I was referring to.

And just because they have Hive Fleet Tulip and Hive Fleet Rose doesn't mean they should abandon their current hives.
They should be encouraged to expand as far and as aggressively as hybridized European/African bees.

>>Take her along when we pick up Mako

Once she stored her books and documents in her school bag, we pick it up and carry it for her.
It looks like she's somewhat uncomfortable being separated from her books.
She really is the bookworm type, this princess.
Ah, I want to bully her gently, so I store her bookbag in my [Item Box]
Now they are completely out of her reach until we give them back to her.

She is making a truly amazing expression, this bookworm elf princess!

"S-since it's the president, it's alright..." -she is mumbling such things.

Is it really such a big deal? but, letting her carry heavy things with us right there is a little... besides, the [Item Box] sure is convenient.

Once we [Treestride] to the peach tree in the Heavenly Palace, we head towards the Imperial Pavillion and ask for Mako.

We are informed that she is currently taking dance lessons.
Uhmm... a dancing Mako is cute too.
I want to take a peek.

We are led to a spacious open air room with a smooth wooden floor.
There, a terribly cute princess is dressed up like a doll as she repeats rather adorable motions at the rythm of music.

Uh... I think I've seen this before... she's actually doing it wrong, but... even her dance teachers think she looks adorable, right?

It can't be helped, because Mako is this world's #1 on cuteness, after all.

Therefore, her mistakes too, are charming.
Noone will complain.
No, it's more like, complaining would be a sin.
You'd have to be souless to complain.

"Do you want some?" - Mai appears from somewhere next to us, and offers us some inflated rice and sugar treats.
"Thank you."

When Mako hears us, she happily turns around and walks over to us.
Her wooden getta go 'pat pat pat' on the floor while she seems to float towards us with quick little steps.

"Eldric, did you come to kiss me?"
"...yes."

There's no way we would answer no
I don't think there's anyone who would answer no.
Beccause Mako's charm is universal
That's because cute is justice!

We give her a gentle little kiss.

"Please change clothes, we are having a meal at my house."
"Alright?"

Well, for her, its sometime around lunch, due to the time difference. So, for her, it is more of a lunch.

She hurries off to her room, and comes out wearing her uniform.
Is it because Aritsu is wearing hers?

"Uh... well, I want to kiss Mako now."
"...ok?"

We were sort of expecting a 'why?' but it's just an 'ok' uh?
We had quite a few lines ready, but it was an ok.
No, really, an ok its eonderful, an ok is great.
Because it means we can kiss her.
So we kiss her.

"Hmm..."

We gently kiss her while holding her by the waist.

She's filled up nicely as of late.
Both her and Ren have.

Their birthday cannot come quickly enough!

Ah, this is bad, have to stop kissing Mako now
Isn't this some sort of tragedy?
'Have to stop kissing Mako' should be the title of a tragedy play, I think.

Uhmm... we should get going before Ren shows up. Otherwise we will not be able to arrive for dinner on time.

That's why, we emerge out of our garden's orange tree.
We are holding a flower on each hand, isn't this a blessed life?
Moreover, as soon as we arrive, a third radiant flower is waiting for us at the door.
It is a rose, bright red and charming.

Ah, tonight, I will pluck this rose, in various ways.

We kiss Lyann and go in.

Dinner is nice and delicious.
Our smallest sibling, Alrond, is crying on the carpet after running face first into a wall, somehow.

It can't be helped, since he's just starting to walk.

You shouldn't run just yet, you know?

He's getting pampered by Aritsu and Lyann thanks to it, though.

I'm a little jealous.
If I start crying, will you pamper me?
I want to think that they will.

"Eldric, are you worried for your little brother?" -asks Mako when she notices us looking at Alrond
"There's no need to if he can get such cute girls to fawn over him."
"Is that so?"

We kiss her.
Why?
Why not?!

>>Spend a little bit kissing all three girls in our room after dinner

After dinner, we go out to the gazebo to help Aritsu finish the schedule, but with constant little smooches, caresses and kisses, it quickly evolves into a kiss fest.

Lyann's lips are soft and warm. She is a passionate kisser that likes to kiss rather than be kissed.

Aritsu's are thin and delicate. She is the type that prefers to be kissed and will happily allow you to do so for as long as you want.

Mako's are sweet and soft to the point where you'd worry about bruising them if you kissed her too hard. She is a enthusiastic and honest type that seems to be happy just by being close to you.

They are all wonderful and special.

"Mako, I want you to kiss Lyann." -we say as we part from her lips for a bit and take hold of Aritsu's hand again.

Whenever we are kissing Mako, Aritsu and Lyann are naturally drawn together now, but otherwise, Mako and either one of them simply watch while kiss someone else.

If we are going to have an harmonious married life, it is important for all of them to get along, right?

That's the only reason.
Mostly.

"Uh? b-but... " -she blushes lovingly.

Lyann looks at us while holding Mako's hand.
Is she waiting for us to give them a gentle push?

I'm tempted to bring Ami and Mai into this, like we did with Mia and Ren's Shadows, but it just feels...odd to bring them in suddenly for some reason.

Maybe because they feel like distinct characters separate from Mako, while Ren's Shadows felt like extensions of her, so kissing them felt like kissing Ren?

Lyann gently picks Mako's hand.

"I like Mako a lot. I think you are wonderful. Do you hate me?"
"T-there's no way I'd do!"

Ah... that attack feels a little heavy against the innocent-type Mako, you know?
Yet, it is working, so...

"Then, you like me?"
"Lyann is really nice and pretty."

Lyann picks up Mako's hand and kisses her knuckles softly.
Actually, isn't this a little dangerous?
Was Lyann always good at this!?

"When we marry Eldric, we'll need to love him and each other. I think Mako is very lovely, so, can I kiss you?"
"U-uhmm..."

We notice Mai and Ami watching from the side while eating inflated sweet rice.
Wait, are you alright with it?
Are you really alright with it!?
And where did they get those treats from!?
This is the wrong continent for that!

Well, they probably had it in their [Item Box] I guess.

"Close your eyes." -says Lyann gently

As Mako does so, the redhead leans in and starts kissing her gently.

This is bad in many ways
Our child is wide awake and at attention, now.

Since we have the beautiful blonde in our lap, it is a given she will notice.

I guess we'll rush a little, so lets go with just kissing for now.

Mako is bright red when we finally end the after meal dessert (the girls) and take her back home.

Mai walks off in no rush.

"Where is she going?" -we ask Ami
"Her highness Ren charged Mai with recording all of the princess' most important moments in the latest graph recorder, so she is probably going to deliver on the latest images."
"N-nuuuh!"

Mako runs after Mai, but her chances of catching the ninja are slim to none.

"Ah... well, I'll be going now..."
"Please take care." -says Ami as she nods
"Uhmm... "
"Yes? is there something else?"
"Is... is it alright if I give you a little kiss, too?"
"Eldric's greed is bottomless, isn't it?" -she gently hits the top of our head
"It can't be helped, because Ami teacher is so pretty."
"Oh, you were being serious? I'm sorry, but I will pass." -she pinches our cheeks firm enough to pull on them
"U-uuuh..."

We go back home, and return Aritsu to the university's dorms door.

-sigh- "I knew I wouldn't get any work done at the president's house." -she sighs softly
"It's Aritsu's fault for being so cute."
"T-that excuse won't work forever, y-you know!?"
"But it's the truth."
"P-president really likes bullying cute girls, uh?"
"Yes, so come here."

We take a firm hold of one of her ponytails and very gently pull her for a long good night kiss.

"See you tomorrow"
"Y-yes..."

We feel a pair of eyes boring a hole on our back. A pair of cold eyes giving us a inorganic gaze.

"You are really the enemy of women, uh?" -says Kya

Her maid is giving us a similar look.
Honoria is standing next to Kya.

"Ahahaha... I have no idea what you are talking about"

She stares at us as we sidestep and head towards the nearest tree so we can flee- I mean, [Tree Stride] back home.

As we emerge out of the garden's orange tree, we see Miel and a small number of honeyfaeries hovering around her. They are slowly flying around the garden.

It looks really elegant and graceful, it really feels like a queen ad her subjects.

We feel a little grateful that they make no noise as they fly. Somehow, it wouldn't be as elegant of they buzzed around. Probably

>>>Start by Eopolis

We head to Eopolis first, emerging from one of the oaks in the main street plaza together with Miel.

The city is still bright this close to sunset, with enough people to make its streets, wide enough for six wagons to move side by side, small.

The long street reaches from the keep to the eastern city gates, not that you could see all the way there with this many people on the way.

We head towards the nearby keep (some effect prevents us from tree-striding directly there. This is as close as we can get) and enjoy the bustling city's energy on the way there.

Walking over the Cloud bridge, the white marble arm that connects the keep's island to the red of the city, we can see the Grand Basilisk river running far under our feet.

The biggest navigable river in the northern continent, the Basilisk runs almost from one shore of the continent to the other.

After being born in the eastern ends of the Iceridge mountain range, it heads West, and crosses the near entirety of the continent before meeting the sea, allowing dozens of kingdoms, small and large, to communicate with each other using it as a natural trading route, and causing Eopolis to become the defacto harbor where all the northern kingdoms load and unload their goods when heading out towards the west or south.

The continent shore rises mightily towards the sky in this region, causing the river to run through a Grand Cannyon which, legend say, was carved on purpose to re route the river's course so that the keep would have a mile-deep natural moat and a powerful river running around it at all times.

Whatever the truth, the keep stands alone over a tall plateau, and looking down as we cross the white bridge, we can see the far away figures of gryphon riding knights practicing and drilling.

Even further down, we can almost make out the sillhouettes of ships through the myst at the bottom of the canyon.

We reach the keep grounds, but rather than head in, we go around the gardens towards the honey faery hive there.

This is the hive where Mina, Alard's honey faery friend, came from. It is a young hive, but it has become quite popular since it has to somehow answer the demand for honey of a city of almost 5 million people.

Of course, this is impossible, which makes their honey into an ultimate luxury good, if still much cheaper now than it was when importing it was the only option.

The hive is a tall, golden egg-shaped structure that looks a lot like what we imagined a hive would look like when hanging from a tree, except this one is almost two floors tall and swarming with activity.

"Ah, it looks quite bustling." -says Miel in a happy tone
"I wonder if they shouldnt move to the side of the canyon? that way it can grow while taking advantage of the canyon wall as support."
"Please don't say that, the canyon is really tall, you know?"
"You can't be scared of heights! you fly!"
"Just a few feet off the ground. You have never heard of a honey faery flying with the eagles, right?"

Is that how it is?
Well, indeed, I've never heard of an airplane running into a hive of bees while up high.

"But, it would surely be spacious."
"Uh..."

Even if a faery reached terminal velocity after 20 feet, the amount of potential energy is going to be much higher if they're on the cliff.

Also, since their flight appears to be partially magic-based, it may be that their flight is incapable of operating any higher than a certain amount off the ground. There may actually be a real danger for them of falling and dying if they're on the canyon wall.

Probably yes, but it will be a really long fly back up. Is not that they can't fly past a certain height, but have you ever stood at the top of a really tall building? its a matter of how strong the wind is and they being ultra light. What does a honeybee weight, maybe 18 grams in bee-size? and that may be super generous. How much DOES a bee weight? I think its fair to say at least 5 times as much.

There should be two different prices because I doubt you could get full market price when selling something to a local distributor.

Oh just noticed we are on 6 number posts now, its nice to see the sub forum growing. Hopefully it means it will be permanent, or was it already decided to make it permanent?

***

Miel grows to human size (albeit she's still quite petite, being a full head smaller than Lyann) so she's safer against the wind as we approach the edge and look down the cliff side.

"Uhm.. this is pretty tall... and windy." -she says, somewhat worried.
"But it's over a mile high. I think it would be perfect for a truly massive hive, right?"
"Well... it is not wanting in size."
"Ah, thank you very much."
"Master!" -she objects while blushing- "I mean the cliffside!"
"That too." -we gently pat pat her head and give her a smooch.
"Uuuh... Master really is a meanie."

We hold her hands tightly and squeeze it as we give her another kiss.

"Let's talk with the local queen about moving and expanding the hive."
"Alright..."

As it turns out, Nisa is not in the hive right now. She's out on a foodgeon dive with Alard's party.

Eh, honestly that's the GM chart (ie the one I made for myself to use as reference)

It depends. If you have neutral relationships there you sell at 50% the listed price and buy at 150% the listed price. If you have friendly or bettere relationships you buy and sell at the listed prices.

It was meant for my own use, really, so I didn't pretty-fy it.

But I think that's why there was a high/low reference, talking about a specific product price... its from 2009 so my memory of it is rather fuzzy but I think we can use it.

Thats what we are talking about, expanding it along the cliff wall.

We can talk about moving some honey stockpiles from low population areas to trade centers in order to increase Hegemony profits.
Or of creating a centralized storage hive where excess honey can be stockpiled to respond to emergencies.

I dont know if moving the honey around would be viable. I assume the honey faeries have some sort of natural [Item Box] to help them collect pollen and maybe carry honey around inside the hive, but moving huge amounts of honey between hives... not all of them have [Treestride] heck, probably only a very very rare minority do.

I wonder if we can make teleport platforms for the bee hives? theyre too small to be a security risk since you cant send anything larger than a bee through, I guess.

Right we are on top of the canyon right now. The hive has an arrow pointing at it

We decide to wait for Nisa to come back, so for the time being we walk around the garden while pulling Miel by her hand. The petite faery follows after us while looking at the ample gardens with interest, or so it looks to us since whenever we look at her, she's looking away from us.

"Would you like something to drink? Mom Ellie prepared some drinks and snacks for us."
"Oh, thank you."

We spread a cloth with white and red squares on the grass under a tall and wide rubber tree, and sit down for a snack.

It is late enough that the sun is approaching the horizon, so we get to have a snack while looking at the sunset in the sea.

"Is it okay to sit here?"
"Yes. This is my family's keep, so it is okay. Probably"
"P-probably? what happens if it is not!?"

Well, now she's blushing

She looks pretty cute.
Yup, cute.
A cute faery queen is here.

Oh, her wings flutter when she's embarrased, I see.
It may be she's trying to cool down?

We have snacks and fruit drinks, then walk around for a bit until we spot Alard and Nisa riding on his shoulder.

"Oh, lord Eldric, mother. What brings you here?" -she greets us politely as she does a curtsey
"Eldric, how are you doing? you could have told me in advance through the notebook if you wanted to meet, and I would have waited for you." -says Alard

"Ah... actually we came to see miss Nisa."
"Is.. is that so?!" -the little faery stiffens, surprised
"Yes. Can you grow any larger? your level should be enough, right?"
"Yes. Then please excuse me."

The tiny faery flies off from Alard's shoulder and towards the side, then grows up to a humanoid size.

Ah, she's the exact same height as Miel (I & II). I guess its something like a standard height, since its thanks to an ability? I get the impression Nisa is a bit taller when they are all tiny-sized

"Oh!"

Alard seems surprised. He didn't know she could do that?
Well, it's rather obvious she hadn't been hiding it. Maybe she just enjoys being tiny-sized

""I refuse"" -mother and daugther are surprisingly in tune

Both Alard and Eldric are confused!
They hurt themselves in their confusion!

""Uh?"" -the lightbringer cousins are also in tune.- ""Why?""

""Ah..."" -truly, mother and daugther are pretty well synched

They both blush and look away

"What is it?" -Alard
"What's the problem?" -asks Eldric

"Uhmm... I want to... with Alard... and noone else." -says Nisa as she blushes brightly
"I also, with Master. I don't want to share myself with anyone else anymore." -says Miel

...right
They don't just 'poof!' spawn more queens, uh?
Wait, don't they need to replace workers and such in their own hives? are their hives alright?
How do their hives run themselves? can other faeries spawn drones and workers?
Well, as faeries, they're not strictly bees, right?

"I didn't know Nisa felt that way." -says Alard to himself.

Well, these two have to deal with their relationship by themselves.

"Let's finish inspecting the hives first, alright?"
"Uh... alright." -Miel looks down while fluttering her wings.

That means she's embarrassed. We've learn by now that she acts that way when she's embarrassed.

"Eldric, wait, I never thought of Nisa that way..." -says Alard with a worried face as he holds our upper arm and tries to get us to stay
"Well, I think she thinks of you that way? you should talk about it. Besides, she's cute, right?"
"That's not the issue."
"You hate her?"
"I do not!"
"I see no problem."
"Eldric!"
"It really is a private matter for just the two of you."
"Ugh.. I'll remember this."
"See you later."
"Alright."

With that, we [Treestride] to Heven. Mantequira has +4 hours of light so we can go elsewhere first.

At Heven, the honey faeries hive is low near the foot of the mountain where the royal palace sits.
They are happier being closer to tje jungle (flowers) after all.

We find that Liliana, the local queen, is a lot more direct and tougher than Miel or Nisa. At least in attitude and mannerisms.

Well, she's still a queen, so she acts more than politely enough, but we can't help the feeling that she wishes we weren't there.

"Is there a problem?" -we are all sitting in one of the many public gardens and plazas.

Both Miel and Liliana are human sized... wait, Nisa adventures with Alard, so we understand how she got to level 100, but how does a 'normal' queen hits that benchmark.

"Ah... I need to start training the praetorian guard. We have about two dozen new recruits today." -says Liliana
"That many? how big is your guard?" -asks Miel while sipping some light herbal tea
"About two dozen strong?"
"Oh, so it will be four dozen soon? you've worked hard."
"No, that includes the recruits."
"..."

Miel quietly sips her tea.

"Ah... the jungle is quite dangerous, I guess."
"Yes... and there's faery-eating plants..." -she shivers

Faery-eating plants? considering their size, aren't those just perfectly normal-sized flytrap plants?

I feel like it would be a bad idea to point that out.

Well, we could try to have them mix their population with the local faeries, which are used to living and fighting in the tough jungle area/conditions.

That would give us tough and aggressive honey faeries that could make lots of honey. What could possibly go wrong?

We could call them Heaven-ified Bees... I mean, Honeyfaeries. Heavenified Honeyfaeries. Jungleified Honey faeries?

Help them level up

"I understand. What is the average level of monsters around the city?"
"Thirty."
"That's quite high for an urban area. And as you go away from the city?"
"Up to 75. We don't go beyond that."
"I can help. My harpies are all over level 100, so let's have them each team up with a party of 5 of your warriors and head into the jungle. Actually, I wanted them to have fun today, so they can enjoy hunting to their heart's contant."

Insects are this area's predominant monster type, right? birds are natural predators to bugs, so they should be alright.

Im just a little worried about those cute birdbrains getting lost, but if they have five guides with them, they should be fine.

I think.

"Please come out, Mina, Nana, Rosa, Adrianna, Blue Harpy of Happiness, Nameless Assassin2, Nameless Sniper1 and Nameless Sniper2."

Both Miel and Liliana are looking at us with very cold eyes right now.
For some reason.
I... I will give them proper names soon!
I will!
Seriously, I will!

"Ah, how do you do?"
"Master!"
"Master called"
"Is it play time?"
"I want a hug and headpats."
"Is it dinner time?"
"I want to take a nap."

Or she could have the aggressiveness and power of a Jungle Honey Fairy paired with the loyalty of her Northern mother to the Hegemony.

If we tell Lyann that we're going on an expedition into the Heven jungles to capture a Honey Fairy Queen for our breeding experiment and for expanding the power of the Hegemony, I think she'll get mad that we're capturing more cute women again.

"Come out, Tanis, Atroma."

"Uhmmm...! oh, I haven't been in this continent in over a century." -says Tanis.

Apparently she recognized the place right away.

"Yes, Master?" -Atroma stands relaxedly as she waits instructions.

"I want all of you to go into the jungle with a group of faeries and help them level up. I will come and pick you up tomorrow morning."

"Is that so? I won't be responsible if the jungle burns down, you know?"
"Yes, Master."

Then we turn towards Lilieana and ask her to call for her recruits and others.

Once the parties are settled, we send them out into the jungle.

They'll be fine, right?

I can somehow see Nina getting her fingers stuck in two flytraps as if they were chinese finger traps.

Nah, there's no way that'll happen.

Alright, with that, let's go check the hive in Lapsiona, the neighboring country to the south.

And so, we [Treestride] to nearby Lapsiona.

Uhmm... it's a bit late, so there's rather few bees still outside.

The local queen is the youngest of the lot.
She really looks the part.
That is to say, she's a loli.
Well, why is that? Miel II grew in just two days, right?
Is she just petite?

She's rather cute.
Honey faeries are already cute, though.
This one is extra tiny, extra cute.

I guess it's true what they say, the strongest poisons come in small flasks.

"Alexandra, have you been well?" -says Miel as she smooches her forehead

Alexandra makes a happy face
Yup, she's cute.
I sort of want to catch her, but I can't find a way to justify it.

"Yes! We have spread over the whole city by now."
"Uhm? the city isn't that big... shouldn't you explore the jungle?"
"T-the jungle is scary!" -she objected right away.

Ah, I guess she has the same problems as her sister in the north.
