"Not normally" Daniella says. "These naughty little ones snuck away from the dinner table, and you know what naughty girls don't get~"

Gabriella suddenly looks worried. "I only left 'cause I heard Hella in here" She says. "I wasn' sneakin'!"

Daniella leans over and gives Gabriella a kiss between the ears. "Alright dear, you can still have dessert" She says. "But only if you feed your baby brother"

Gabriella's ears slump. "But he always grabs my ears" She says.
"No buts, young lady" Daniella says. "March!"

Gabriella reluctantly turns and leaves. Then Daniella puts little Hella down. "You too Munchkin, go with your sister" She says.

Hella toddles after Gabriella, babbling the whole way.

With that, Daniella lets out a sigh. "Now, how can I help you?" She asks.

Daniella's head perks up. "Right! Sorry, I can be so forgetful" She says, lightly punching herself in the head before shouting back. "Hella, some people are here to see you!"

"She'll be a few seconds" Daniella says.
"Okay" You say.

"C-can we see the baby?" Ilica asks. "I mean... uhh... if it's not too much trouble"
"You like kids, Ilica?" Tian asks.

"A little..." Ilica says, as she blushes and turns away. "I just think they're kinda cute... is all..."

As Ilica continues to justify her curiosity, Hella walks in... both of them.

"Were you calling for me?" Hella asks.
"Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb" Small Hella says.

"There you are!" Tian says, as she steps over to hug Hella. "You missed it. Your Aunt had Yuu convinced that the guild had a shrinking chamber for you rabbits"

"A what?" Hella asks as she breaks away from Tian. "There's no such thing as a shrinking chamber"
"Yeah, but he doesn't know that" Ilica says.

"Are you sure there's no shrinking chamber?" You ask.
"Positive" Ilica says.

Hella looks around, confused. "Uhh... so... how are you doing?" She asks.

Hella's eyes widen, and she looks worried... until Little Hella speaks up.

"Kitty" Little Hella says, as she steps over to Ilica. "Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty"
Hella sighs in relief. "Oh. Two Hella's" She says. "I was actually worried for a second there"

"That makes two of us" Ilica says. Her tail swishes back and forth as little Hella toddles after it. "Don't joke around like that. I'd hate to have you passing out from getting clonked too hard by the mouse"

"So Altea's Knights, huh?" Daniella asks. "What are they like?"
"They're okay" You say. "Rough on the knees, but still pretty cool"

"They don't exactly act very knightly" Ilica says.
"They get that from their commander" Daniella says.

"Not personally, no" Daniella says. "But when you live in Locke as long as I have, it's hard to avoid her reputation"

"Being loud and extravagant in everything she does" Daniella says. "You can hear her laughing all the way out here on a quiet night"

"That was a joke..." Daniella says. "But it is hard to miss when she leaves the castle"

"That is why we came here" You say. "Well... before we got distracted"

"Great! Come on in!" Daniella says. "It's a bit of a mess back there, so don't mind it"
"I've probably seen worse" Ilica says.

The four of you follow Daniella and Hella further into the guild. The setup of this hall is the same as the one in Contique, so the dining room is in the same place.

Meanwhile, little Hella is still trying to catch Ilica's tail.

"Why is she doing that?" You ask.
"Doing what?" Daniella asks, as she turns around to look at her daughter. "Oh, that? One of the hunters who bases here is a Felid. She's super friendly with the kids, but she's on mission right now"

"So she thinks Ilica is that hunter?" You ask.
"Nah" Ilica says. "She probably just thinks that all Felids are friendly like that"
"Are you?" You ask.
"I dunno... will she bite or pull if I let her catch it?" Ilica asks.
"I wouldn't worry, Hella takes after Hella" Daniella says. "Very gentle, sometimes too much so"

"I'm right here" Hella says.
Daniella turns to Hella and blinks, like she's surprised. "See what I mean? Sometimes you just forget about her" She says.

Hella pouts, prompting Daniella to give her a hug.

"Fuzzy kitty" little Hella says. Having finally caught Ilica's tail, she hugs it and pets it.

"See? Gentle" Daniella says. "Of course, her first encounter with our Felid friend might have somethin' to do with that"

"What happened?" Ilica asks.
"It was back when she was just starting to teethe, and well... she only had a couple of teeth back then, but boy could she ever bite" Daniella says.
"What did your friend do?" Ilica asks.

"Yelped and jumped about 15 feet in the air" Daniella replies, as you enter the dining room. "I was impressed. I don't think I've ever seen someone jump so high in my entire life. Of course, niether had Hella. Scared the living heck out of her"

There are only two people in the dining room: a younger man, and an older man.

"Awww..." Ilica says. "I guess that's the last time she tried that"
"Yep. She learned not to bite cats" The younger man says. "Unfortunately my hands remained on the menu..."
"That was one time, sweetie" Daniella says.
"10 years I've been a hunter, and no monster has ever chomped on me as hard as she did" The man says.

Ilica suddenly looks nervous.

"Don't worry, he's just exaggerating" Daniella says.
"I am not, an' I've got the scars to prove it" The man says.

"Ohhh?" You say, as you crouch down next to the little rabbit. "You should take her to a mastery stone. She might be able to bite a chunk out of it"

You hear the man laughing, as little Hella reaches out and grabs your nose. "Honk" She says, as she squeezes it shut.

"Sorry there, I don't believe we've met" The man says. He has blond hair and blue eyes, with tanned skin that speaks to the amount of time he must spend outdoors as a hunter. "I'm Teague, Daniella's husband"

You pry Hella's hand off your nose so you can stand up. "I'm-" You begin, before Hella's desperate whining distracts you.

You look back down to see her holding her hands up and bouncing as she whines, so you get back down on her level.

Hella gives you a big smile, as she reaches out and grabs your nose again. "Honk!" She says, before giggling happily.

"I'm Yuu" You say. The words come out strangely, since your nose is being held shut...
"Pleased to meet you... Yuu" Teague says. "You, Yuu. God that sounds odd"

"Right!" Big Hella says. "These two are Tian and Ariadne, they're my friends from Bell's Run. And this is Ilica, she's Yuu's friend"

"So who's-" You say as you try to stand back up, only to find that little Hella won't let go of your nose. "Who's he?"

You point to the older man.

"Oh, sorry! That's my grandpa" Hella says.
"Name's Vance" The older man says. His voice is gruff, and his face is the same. He has a short, grey beard, with one dark eye. His other eye is covered by an eyepatch, under which a rather gnarly looking scar passes.

"Daniella says you've lived here for a long time" You say.
"Me? I've been everywhere" Vance says. "I did get my start here though, and here's where I raised my family... so I guess I have spent my fair share in Locke"

"Daniella says that you saw Altea mess up her landing" You say.
Vance chuckles. At least you think he does. It sounds kinda grumbly. "More than once" He says. "She hasn't always been the bastion of hardiness and skill that she is now..."

"Neither were you, old man" Teague says.
"That's true, but my screw ups were always less public than hers" Vance says. "For instance, I never broke the west gate, or burned the north tower"

"She burned something too?" You ask.
"Aye. She was just a little one, no older than Gabby when I first settled in here" Vance says. "It was quite the spectacle, seeing her learn to fly. It's almost hard to believe how far she's come..."

Vance looks kind of sad. You wonder why.

You try again to pry her hands loose to no avail. It's not like you don't have the strength, it's that bringing that strength to bear on a toddler might end... badly.

Okay, you aren't out of ideas yet. You reach out with both hands and go for her ribs, lightly digging your fingers in. Little Hella laughs and squirms and tries to shake you off...

But she doesn't let go of your nose.

So you stop tickling her, and pick her up under her arms. This way you both win, she gets to keep your nose, and you get to sit down and possibly eat something.

"Smart man" Vance says.
"What?" You ask.
"That's a good lesson to learn while you're young" Teague says.
"What lesson" You ask.
"That sometimes it's best to compromise" Vance says. "Especially when dealing with women"

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would that be such an important lesson?

You look down at the rabbit, who smiles and gives your nose a squeeze. "Honk!"

That did not enlighten you. But then, you weren't looking to the toddler for enlightenment.

"I guess" You say, still sounding weird with your nose plugged. "Does she ever let go?"
"I'm afraid not..." Teague says. "You may be stuck with her for the rest of your life"

You look back down at the rabbit, who once again smiles and 'honks' your nose.

Alright kid. 2 can play at that game. You grab Hella's nose and lightly squeeze it. "Honk"
She squeezes back. "Honk"

Back and forth you go, determined to beat this small child at her own game.

The adults watch you for a moment, before turning back to Ilica.

"So, Hella says that you've had quite the trip" Vance says.
"We have" Ilica says.
"Where'd you all come from?" Teague asks.
"You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you" Ilica says.
"I'm an old man, I doubt you could tell me anything that would surprise me" Vance says.

"Bet you 15 silver that you're wrong" Ilica says.
"You're on" Vance replies.
