RECAP

You are Natalya Ilyushin, a non-Girtablilu scorpiongirl. Set in Russia during WW2 where everyone is a monster girl. You were fired from your job at as a mercenary after killing your comrades in a botched mission. After wasting your days away in a pub, you decide to do some freelancing, taking odd jobs that people post on the town board.
You have befriended a hellhound named Eva, you dislocated her elbows and killed her friend. She doesn't seem to hold it against you. You have also informally adopted an elf-child named Katya, you found her in a house near an abandoned munitions factory where you discovered a massacre. You killed the centaur that was shoveling bodies into a truck, stole the truck and had it cleaned of the blood. You suspect that the meat being fed to the homeless community comes from this source.

Presently, you are in a small grocery store with Katya deciding what you should buy for breakfast.

20,470 Rubles
A Mosin_Nagant with a sling made of tattered cloth, loaded with 4 rounds. No scope.

A fight club at the bar. Paid 30% of earnings from bets.

Hands inside claws.

Buy milk for our unofficial adoptive daughter, a few pieces of bread, and maybe dried meat to use as rations in a pinch
>>
>>132464

Basket in hand, you collect various items. You get a loaf of bread, a carton of 12 eggs, 3 cans of soup , 3 cans of tushonka, a kind of canned stewed meat, a can opener and a bottle of vodka. Katya adds 3 bottles of milk and a packet sweets to the basket.

You take your items and head to the checkout where the old lady is sitting, reading a magazine. She tallies the cost of your items, writing them down by hand on a piece of paper. She uses a calculator to factor in the 20% discount and shows you the receipt for 500 rubles. Happy with her transparency, you hand her a 500 ruble note. She bags your items and hands you a small package wrapped in brown paper. She say's it's a gift for Anya and she would be greatly appreciative if you could give it to her on your way back.

What do you say?

>>133525
Say that courier services for Anya's friends comes for free, then leave.

You smile and say that courier services are free for friends of Anya. She laughs heartily and adds another bag of sweets into your plastic bag. You both thank her and take your leave.

You get back in the truck and drive home, Katya holds the bags in her lap. She opens a bag of sweets and starts eating them one by one, she offers you some, you lean towards her with your mouth open and she plops it in.

You park behind the clinic and make your way back to Eva's shack. The bags that you carry attract a lot of attention, eyes follow your movement. You hug the bag to your chest as you try to hide it from view. you find that you spend alot of time walking quicker than normal in this camp.

You enter Eva's shack and find that she's still sleeping, almost in the exact same position that you left her.

How do you wake her up?
>>
>>133640
Don't, she's injured and needs sleep. Go into town and find a sling for our nugget and let's see if we can find a helmet at a surplus store. We need a belt and belt pouches and bags as well, and a rucksack.

>>133830

You lightly shake her shoulder, you notice that her fur is quite soft, and tell her that breakfast will be ready soon, She scrunches her eyes as she looks at you and goes back to sleep. You leave her be as you ask Katya to take out the soup, eggs, bread and milk. As she does that you drag an unused bin over to the shack with the intention of lighting a fire and heating up the soup, maybe fry some eggs over a metal sheet. The sound rouses Eva and she tells you to drag the bin into the shack, doing it outside will attract unwanted attention. You follow her advice and light the fire inside instead, keeping it small so you don't heat the inside up too much. Eva gets up and uses her hip to nudge the door close.

Removing the paper from the can you use a metal sheet as support, placing the can on it sideways with half of it off the side so that the fire heats it up. You slowly turn the can, swapping halves to heat it entirely. After a while you're pretty sure the inside is heated enough. you remove it from the fire, using cloth to insulate your hands. Placing it on the floor, you ask Katya to carefully open it and empty it into the bowls. This repeats two more times as Eva sits on the bed, observing.

You break the loaf of bread into three equal pieces and hand one to Katya. You use the other to feed Eva, using the bread to absorb the soup. While feeding her you mention that you took a job with the Red Army to guard a shipment of missiles to Tskov. You ask her to look after Katya while you're gone. Katya pouts at the thought of being separated from you but don't make too much noise. She perks up as Eva says she'll use the time to teach her more things.

Finishing up your breakfast, you find that it was actually quite filling. Eva and Katya look quite satisfied with the breakfast. You put the tushonka and eggs away, keeping it for another day. You put the fire out and throw the cans into the bin before dragging it back outside, placing it beside the doorway.

You tell Eva you're going to to visit someone for a bit, she doesn't respond. Maybe she went back to sleep?

You walk towards the baboushka and find her still sitting in her rocking chair, still observing the various activities in the camp. She hears you approach and smiles at you, asking if you manage to buy your groceries. You smile back and tell her you did, along with the fact that her friend at the store has a gift for her. You hand her the small brown package. She accepts it with both hands and thanks you. You bow your head slightly, thank her again for the directions and head back.

You find Eva lying on her bed again. She yawns as you enter and Katya puts a sweet into her mouth.

Well, what now?

Daw. Now I think we'd better get ready to head out to the job. Tell Katya we've got a job out of town and will be gone a day or two, and not to worry and to help out Eva in our absence. Let Eva know we're heading out and give her a couple of roubles so she can feed herself and Katya, and hit the road Jack.

You sit by Eva's bedside and ask her how she's feeling. She looks at you as she formulates an answer.

She say's that she feels ok, her arm's don't hurt as much anymore, but the restrictiveness of the slings annoys her. She adds that Ludya told her she should be back to normal in a few weeks, at most one month.

You ask her if she knows of any place to get a haircut, maybe get some hair dying done, to change your appearance. She tells you that there's one in camp, but you would need to supply the dye yourself.

You tell her to get more rest and she thanks you for the breakfast.

Do you go get your haircut and dying done here? or do you go to someplace more professional. Or do something completely different

please nothing lewd

You take the truck and drive back to the grocery store. You pick up a small box of hair dye and tell the old lady that you passed the package on for her. She thanks you and tells you that you can have the box for free. You smile, thank her and smack Katya's as she she reaches for another packet of sweets.

You head back to camp and subsequently Eva's shack to ask about the in-camp barber. She tells you the barber's opposite the clinic, there's a broken barber's poke next to it. Eva asks Katya to stay with her, partly for company and partly to teach her more lessons.

You make your way to the clinic and look across. Lo and behold, there is indeed a a broken barber pole next to a shack. You aren't sure why you never noticed it before.

You make your way over and poke your head in, there's a sleeping lamia inside, coiled up. The sound of the door scraping against the gravel wakes her up. She asks if you're here for a hair cut, you tell her you are. She asks you to tell her about yourself as she rubs the sleep from her eyes. She she hasn't seen you around.

What do you say?

You tell her that you're a friend of someone in camp. She looks at you expectantly.

You add that you're between jobs, kind of drifting around. You say that you might stick around, you're not sure.

She nods knowingly and prompts you to sit in a chair and she drapes a large towel around your body. And asks you what style you would like. You inform her that you would like to dye your hair instead, handing her the box of dye.

She combs your hair and unpacks the box to begin mixing the various components together. She puts on laetx gloves and combs the dye through your hair.

She tells you to let it rest for around 20 minutes.

While waiting she asks you various questions. What did you do before you came here, who your friend is and what you plan to do after this. She seems quite talkative as she remarks that the black hair looks good on you.

You carry on answering her questions, telling her that you worked for a mercenary company, fired after a botched mission. This elicits a concerned look but she doesn't say anything. You tell her that you might just hang out with Eva after this, you aren't sure.

The two of you start some idle chatter, about pointless things. You get the sense she doesn't get many customers. Either that or she's just very talkative.

When your hair is done, now a deep black. You ask her if she would cut your hair as well. She acts offended that you even need to ask. She asks how you would like your hair?

You ask her for a hime cut. She isn't sure what it is. You do your best to describe it for her, cheek to chin length sidelocks, and a frontal fringe with the rest of the hair long. The entirety of the hair to be straightened. You ask her for the fringe to be slightly shorter and wider.

She takes some time to visualise it. When she's done, she removes her gloves and gets a flat iron. She starts straightening your hair. The scissors she uses is slightly rusty but sharp enough that it cuts cleanly. The sound if the scissors cutting your hair is oddly soothing, you allow yourself to close your eyes and relax.

After she finishes she provides you with mirror and asks you what you think.

It looks perfect!

You tell her that you are very happy with her. She blushes and gives you another hug, kissing you once on each cheek. She asks tell your friends about her ad you leave.

Cool, so you now have a new look. What now?

You head back to Eva's shack, some heads turn as they look at your new strange hairstyle.

Katya seems delighted at your new hairstyle, playing with it, letting your long straight hair flow over your hands. Eva tells you she likes the look, she hasn't seen it before.

You grab the bottle of vodka and twist the cap open, Eva gets off her bed to sit opposite you. Katya is still playing with your hair. You offer the bottle to Eva. She narrows her eyes as she looks at you disapprovingly. You laugh and help her take a swig. You take one as well.

You remove your gun from your side and dissaemble it using your muscle memory. You find a piece of metal wire from the floor and use it, along with a rag, to clean your gun.

As you do this, taking, and helping Eva take sips, from the bottle, you start talking. Katya has stopped playing with you hair at this point and sits down mext to you, eating from the opened bag of sweets.

Talk about the war effort and swap rumors from the front. How far the Germans have gotten and the strange and bizzare monsters that make up the bulk of their ranks. Monsters lack visible breasts but instead grow heavy muscles, and have even been observed to grow hair from their faces.

You start talking about politics, how the state of the government is far from perfect, how the government takes too much from the proletarian. Eva nods her head in agreement, she says that a spreading of the wealth would be much better. Katya pipes up, asking if spreading the resources of the Motherland would hurt the war effort.

You put a sweet in her mouth.

You continue this line of topic for a while, most of it passes over Katya's head but she makes good rebuttals here and there.

The topic moves onto the war. Various stories from the invasion of Poland. You swap rumours of the various technologies and weapons the Germans have.

Eva remarks how nice it would be to get her hands on a German StG44. You agree, the German weaponry looks nice. You talk about the Third Reich for a while, how well trained the Wermacht look and what a formidable ally they are to have. Eva corrects you, that it is just a non-aggression pact. She wonders how long it will last for. Katya admonishes you, she says that the Red Army will be able to wipe them out in an instant. You and Eva find such strong patriotism from such a small child funny, you can't help but laugh. Her face goes red. You explain why you were laughing to her, and that it is a good thing. You rub the top of her head.

You finish cleaning the bolt of your weapon and start assembling it. You show Katya how it's done. You pass her the gun to practice assembly and dissassembly as Eva tries to scare her with horror stories from the war. She doesn't seem fazed, steadily getting faster at handling the gun. She scrunches her face at Eva in defiance and sticks her tongue out. Eva does the same.

With the bottle of vodka half finished you let Eva take another swig before you cap it.

Katya's stomach grumbles. You notice you're getting slightly hungry as well. What to you eat for lunch?

You relent under Katya's puppy dog eyes. You unload the four rounds and place them in your bag. Handing the rifle to Katya you tell her it is not a toy. You tell them you'll be back soon.

Taking the trolley you find the ground's a bit more unstable, the wheels sinking into the gravel a bit more, making movement hard. You persevere and make it out to the sidewalk. You make your way to the grocery store, regretting drinking as much as you did so early in the morning. It isn't that bad but you still rely slightly on the trolley for balance.

You cough as cars drive by, their exhaust stinging your eyes.

You get closer to the grocery store and find that none of the lights are turned on. You weren't expexting it to be closed. Is it the weekend already? Maybe it's Sunday you aren't sure.

On closer inspection you see a sign on the door that states it's open on all days except Sunday. Guess that answers your question.

Determined to get food for your hungry friends, you stroll around the area with your trolley like you own the place.

You do not see many monster-girls around, with the exception of the elderly and infirm, almost every able bodied girl was conscripted into the Red Army.

The only reason you weren't was because of your affiliation with your mercenary company, which worked closely woth the government, taking contracts that the USSR did not want to be held accountable for. You imagine the only reason they didn't instantly conscript you when you signed up to protect the missiles was because of this fact.

As for the homeless community, alot of them have some medical issues of one sort or another. The government probably gave up trying to find the healthy among the sick.

You manage to find other grocery shops, but it seems to you that they all signed a contract stating that they're closed on sundays. This is absurd.

You can't believe this. Frustrated you decide to go back home, maybe Eva knows of a place to buy some food.

You wheel your trolley back to the camp.

You reach Eva's shack and see Katya aiming the Mosin-Nagant at various objects. Eva barks at her as she moves to aim at you, she chastises Katya for that.

You tell them that you didn't manage to find any open grocery stores, they're all closed for some reason.

Katya rubs her stomach sadly. Eva asks why you didn't just go to the universal store. It's open on all days.
>>
>>142141
Ask for directions.
We should also think about buying another gun.
>>
>>142141
Well we could just not buy the meat there.
>>
>>142426
>>142141
>>142153

You ask her to refresh your memory on the direction to the universal store. It's closer than the grocery store. Sighing, you make your way out again.

You really regret drinking so early, these walks are arduous in your current state. Not including the fact that a car would cut these travels have by a large amount.

You reach the location and set eyes on the building. It strikes you as odd, definately bigger than the grocery store you went to earlier but hardly enough or diverse enough to be dubbed [i]Glávnyj Universáĺnyj Magazín[i].

It seems to be just a supermarket, with smaller shops by the side selling various products like clothing, electronics and imitation products.

You make your way to the supermarket. It doesn't seem to be in the most well kept state. You recognise some familiar faces from the camp. You nod in recognition as you pass each other.

Getting a basket you place it on your trolley and walk around. You pick up another loaf of bread and some butter to go along with it. You pick up some apples. They don't look the best but they should be ok. Moving across the aisles
you pick up some Korral, a cream cheese with shrimp flavouring. This one seems to have black pepper.

As you approach the section holding the meats, you notice a strange smell. Looking closer you don't see many packets, and the few that remain have their plastic packaging ripped open. The refrigerators seem to have stopped working as well. Despite the cold weather, it isn't enough to stop the meat from spoiling. Maybe this is why that old baboushka told you to avoid the meat.

You opt to head to the small deli they have and buy some Kolbasa, a type of sausage, and Salo, cured lard.

You head back to get some garlic cloves and procede to checkout. The bill tallies to 1070 rubles. You pay and exit.

You pick up a bracelet made of colourful string for Katya, pay the 50 ruble price and walk back home.
>>
>>142697

You make sure to hide the bag under your jacket as you make your way back to Eva's shack. It looks weird but doesn't draw as much attention as carrying it normally.

Katya immediately inspects the bag as you place it in the floor. You interrupt her to pass her the bracelet. She wears it and gives you a hug, smiling and thanking you before going back to inspecting the bag. She announces each item of food as she finds them. You wait patiently for her to finish.

Eva's eyes light up when she calls out the salo, she says that it's one of her favourite gulty pleasures. Katya grabs one of the sausages, it looks so big in her tiny hands.

You drag in the bin and light a fire. Eva closes the door with her hip. You take the sausage from Katya and commence frying them on some sheet metal, rubbing the chunk of salo to render out the fat. The smell instantly fills the small room, Katya licks her lips as her stomach grumbles again. You hope the smell doesn't escape.

Eva mentions that she has a knife under her pillow you could use to cut the bread, sausages and garlic. You ask Katya to peel the garlic as you retrive the knife to divide the sausages into equal portions, placing them into the bowls. You slice the bread and rub the garlic onto each slice. You spread the cheese onto some slices, and others you add salo. With no disturbances, it makes for quite a hearty and enjoyable meal.

You have some cheese and bread left. The butter and apples went untouched. You decide to keep them for later.

What now?
>>
Check time. Cuddle with Katya and Eva.

Give them all your love before our trip.
>>
>>142988
>>142862
You poke your head out and check the position of the sun. Seems to be around 2 to 3pm. You don't feel like doing much today so you head back inside. You cuddle with Katya and Eva. Eva takes some persuading but eventually she relents and snuggles up to you. It's quite comfortable, Eva's soft fur brushing your cheek she she leans on you and the gentle movements of Katya as she sits in between your legs. You could get used to this. You tell them that you'll be back as soon as you can after the job, and to take care. Katya reaches behind her and ruffles your hair. Eva rubs her head against your cheek. You stay like this for a while, talking about small things, mostly idle gossip and lessons Katya has learned.

This is nice. What do you do now?
>>
>>143505
When's the job again? We should take a nap.
>>

Oh hey someone replied, thought the thread was going to die.

>>
Quick. Check time. Fall asleep. There's nothing else to do until tomorrow. Maybe we could get a picture taken of us to take to the trip.

Even if 15kms isn't that far away.

Maybe it was a misprint and it is actually 150 kms away.

You can't seem to bear the thought of moving. You decide to take a nap, resting your head on Eva's. You'll need as much energy for tomorrow.

The sound of the dinner bell wakes you up. Katya stretches and yawns as she wakes up, Eva tries to bury her head into your armpit, not to keen on waking up.

Do you line up for dinner?
>>
>>144113
Why would we not? Ask Eva if she's coming or if she want's us to bring her a meal.
>>
>>144113
Yes.
>>
>>144113
You gently ease Eva off and lay her down on the bed. You ask her if she wants to come along or if she would like you to bring it to her. She says she'd greatly appreciate it if you would get it for her.

You pick up the bowls and head to queue up. The same scene unfolds, streams of people exiting their shacks and rushing to queue up. You manage to get a spot relatively close to the front, there are maybe 30 people infront of you. Before dinner starts getting served, Ludya gets up on a large crate, holding a torch. She announces that there will not be any meat tonight, for the second night in a row.

This causes an uproar, disgruntled members of the camp using this as a chance to voice their opinions, others simply making noise to join in.

You get shoved as someone demands to know what you're doing here in the queue, there's already a food shortage and judging by your bags of food you bring back daily you aren't wanting for resources.

You get accused of wasting camp supplies, while providing nothing.

You lose sight of Katya as a crowd gathers around. You aren't sure why you're being singled out. Ludya's voice fails to calm the crowd. Olga, the red oni that acts as the unofficial camp guard gets held by the arms as she attempts to intervene.

A large ogre seperates themselves from the crowd and moves into the center. She roars ferociously and the crowd falls silence.

She asks you what you have to offer this camp. The crowd eyes you menacingly.
>>
>>144150
I am a seasoned soldier and brawler, and am willing to come to the aid of any camp members if they are beset by groups of attackers.

Also, I apparently make a for a decent nurse and caretaker.

You look the ogre in the eyes and tell her that you're a seasoned soldier, experienced in armed and unarmed combat. You tell then that you are willing to use these skills for the benefit of everyone in camp, should this camp get attacked, that you would be one of the first responders. You add that you can help take care of the sick and injured as well.

The ogre eyes you, not convinced of your claims. She tells you that the camp does not need another doctor. Ludya pipes up from the back in your defense and says that she does.

Irritated at being contradicted, and unable or unwilling to direct it at Ludya, she directs it at you. She has to bend down to shove her fave into yours. Her breath heavy on your face and smelling like it hasn't been brushed in a while, she tells you to prove your strength.

She practically roars into the crowd, riling them up as she asks you to fight her one on one, as a test to show how worthy you are. You doubt anyone ele had to show their worth.

What do you say to this challenge?

You accept her challenge. The crowd cheers and moves to give the two of you a wider bearth. Out of the corner of yoir eye you catch Eva, her hands on Katya. They look worried for you. You give them a wink as you adopt a fighting stance.

You and the ogre circle each other, looking for a gap in the defences.

The crowd is silent and tense as they wait. Eva's grip on Katya tightens.

The ogre lunges first, her right fist going for an uppercut, her left moving to grab your shirt. You move your head out of the way and trip her, she falls to the ground, bringing you along with her. The crowd cheers.

You grapple on the ground for a bit, rolling around trying to get on top of the other. As the rolling places you on top, you use your leg to stop the rolling. The abrupt stop seems to confuse the ogre, she seems to have expected the rolling to continue for longer.

You deliver some solid punches to her face, dull thuds as blood and spit spray out of her mouth. The crowd is silent as their champion is beaten senseless.

You stand up, panting hard. You look at Eva and wink as you pick from the ogre up fom behind. You mouth "this is for you" as you

the ogre. She smiles and shakes her head. The ogre doesn't move from her position. The crowd is stunned. Eva and Katya run to you and hug you. Ludya pushes her way through the crowd to check on the ogre.

You survey the crowd, looking them in the eyes. Suddenly they don't seem as bloodthirsty, their gazes evasive.

You place around Eva and one on Katya's shoulder. You announce to the crowd, loud enough that the ones at the back can hear.

"I am aggrieved by your conduct."

Slight pause.

"I've said all i have to say"

You guide your friends to the food, the crowd parting like the red sea to let you through. You fill your bowls with the vegetarian borscht yourself. Handing one to Katya you walk back to Eva's shack, nobody looks back.

Reaching back Katya is barely able to contain her excitement, telling you how AWESOME that was. She asks you to teach her one day. You tell her maybe one day. Eva tells you that it was a nice suplex, and to remind her not to get on your bad side. She wipes some blood from your face with her hand.

Using the bread and butter you bought that afternoon, you consume your dinner. You should visit the cooks, they do a wonderful job given their current situation.

Bully completely trashed, and dinner eaten, the camp now knows you aren't to be fucked with. What now?

You ask Eva if she would like to have some vodka with you. She declines, stating that a hangover, however slight, probably won't be beneficial tomorrow. She tells you to rest well instead as she lies down on her bed. You watch her wiggle around for a bit before she looks at you.

"Natalya", she asks, "could you tuck me in?"

Of course, you tell her. You pull the blanket up and over her, covering her neck. She whispers a thank you.

You proceed to lay down as well, Katya beside you. You put an arm around her and pull her closer as you drape the blanket over. You feel good about tomorrow.
>>

The morning light bursts through the gaps in the shack, waking you up. Katya, whose head is under the blanket isn't affected.

Without a watch to tell the time, you hurridly prepare to leave. As carefully and quickly as possibly, you roll sideways to get out of the blankets. You sling your gun and wear your backpack. You check your equipment, confirming that everything is there. You put in a can of tushonka, leaving the other two for them.

You take the truck and make your way to the town hall. Your breath fogs as you breathe hard, heart pounding at what you attempted just moments before. You try your best to think about the mission.

You park the truck in the parking lot and glance at the clock tower. You're slightly late. You rush to enter the town hall.

You are stopped by a guard, demanding to know who you are and what you're doing here.

You tell him your a mercenary, hired to protect missles heading to Tskov.

He gives studies you before telling you that you're late, the rest of the guards are already here. He directs you to the waiting area.

You jog over, heading towards a group of girls, some wearing the steel bib, others with a ppsh or mosin-nagant like you. An official whacks you on the head and reprimands you for being late. Keep the good work up, read other quests for inspiration to manage the player inputs Audit quest and genre shift try to implement all the players suggestions, melancholic quest isn't explicit about what suggestions is using but give us enough stress points to question and discuss what would be the best course of action and the possible repercussions. Nobody responds for about half a minute. You contemplate volunteering yourself but another non-girtablilu scorpion girl pipes up, pushing her way to the front. She says proudly that she's an expert at driving these trucks.

The guard commander pays her no attention, simply telling her to get in. She orders the rest to get in the back. The driver deflates at the lack of reactions.

You are the last to enter, waiting patiently for the rest. There is almost no space for you as you climb in, you struggle to fit. The lack of accomodation for your tail makes it hard to sit properly. You fidget for a while, to the annoyance of your neighbour, before settling on sitting with half your ass off the seat, knees and thighs clamped together with your tail hanging off the truck. Not the most comfortable position.

You attribute most of this to the girl beside you, a fairly heavyset minotaur, literally almost twice your size.

Nobody talks to one another, they're either sleeping, staring out the back or focused on a singular point. The driver is decent, smooth aside from a few lurches here and there which cause your stinger to bang against the metal. It is a very boring ride.

After what seems like an eternity, unable to move because moving means moving the minotaur, the truck stops.

The driver unlatches the barrier at the back, and you get off, massaging your sore butt. The guard commander does a headcount and wastes no time in ordering the group to follow her. You do a headcount as well, there are 11 others here with you today.

Looking around you see that you've artived at a train station. Workers are in a rush, finalising the departure of the missiles. Some are still being loaded onto the freight train.

Studying it, the only compartments suitable to stay in are located at the front, the middle and the back.

The locomotive itself is painted black, with the symbol of the CCCP painted of one side. You assume the other side as well. The containers holding the missiles and compartments meant for the guards made of simple unpainted wooden planks.

The guard commander splits you into fours. In your group is the minotaur, a red oni, and a dwarf. You exchange looks and nods but nothing more. A collective understanding between everyone but you that getting paid is the only goal here.

The guard commander orders your group to go to the middle compartment. She hands each of you a combat rations consisting of a packet of biscuits, a can of meat, a can of vegetables and a packet of carbohydrates. Yours contains macaroni.

Storing the rations in your bag you head off to the compartment. It's divided into four smaller rooms. You each take a room without saying a word.

You remove your bag and place it beside you, as well as placing your gun on the table.

There's not much you can do for now besides wait.
>>
>>146985
Check around the room and do a quick inspection of your rifle.
>>
>>147006
Seems to be the only real option
>>
>>146985

You're awakened as the train jolts to life, you didn't even realise you fell asleep. The train chugs, steadily picking up speed as it leaves the station. Fighting to overcome the weight of the missiles. It doesn't seem to be able to, moving slower than what it should be capable if.

The staticky voice of the guard commander blares over the intercom, reminding you that your job is to guard these missiles, not to sleep. She orders everyone to keep an eye out for Chechen seperatists.

They have been plagueing the progress of the Motherland for centuries, aided by Islamist rebels, they saw the Great Patriotic War as an oppurtunity to overthrow the entire Soviet regime.

This surprises you, you thought that they'd all been deported to Central Asia. You sit up straighter, eyes scanning the horizon.

You don't see anything for a long time aside from forests and snow. You break the packaging of the rations and start to eat them. Passable taste. You leave the macaroni for later.

You finish up and inspect your rifle, stripping it and checking it for any foreign material or obstruction. Satisfied that it's fit for firing, you assemble it back and return to watching the scenery.

Resting your head on your hand, you find the vast tracts of snow and trees oddly calming, it's quite beautiful. You smile as you observe a pack of wolves playing in the distance.

Your thoughts grind to a halt as the train screeches to a halt, the sudden deceleration throws your gun off the table onto the chairs opposite you and your bag to the floor, the stripper clips spill out.

The voice of the guard commander once again blasts over the intercom, informing everyone that some trees have fallen onto the tracks. It might take some time to clear them.

You crawl under the table to collect your rifle as all around you you hear a volley of rifle fire, the glass shatters overhead, the table shielding you.

Oh god.
>>

Any stripper clips nearby? Grab those. Is our gun loaded?

Just dropping in to comment on this.

I recently started my first quest ever, and hadnt even been lurking all that long before starting. Currently up to my third thread, which will be going into autosage some point today. I average around 4 contributors a session with an unkown number of lurkers.

Let me just say, that you shouldnt let the activity of your thread crush your moral. The fact of the matter is, /qst/ is still a pretty small board. And of that small board, a lot of players fit a very perticular niche. So unless you are going to go out of your way to pander to it, you cant expect consistantly good numbers. Theres just to many variables at work.
You should do the quest because you want to, first and foremost. If it's turning into a chore, it will effect the quality of your content, starting that infinite spiral downwards till you give up.

I guess the point i want to make is, if you're going to quit, do it for a legitimate reason. Not because you arent rolling in posters. I've occasionally lurked in your threads. You really arent that bad of a writer.

You grab a stripper clip off the ground and load your gun, the empty clip clatters on the floor.

The gun fire continues, peppering the side of the compartment. The dwarf slumps off her chair, falling limp on the floor, blood bubbles out of her mouth.
>>
>>147163
Yeah i guess my reasoning was a bit iffy, i do want to continue this, it's quite fun. Thanks for the post man, and everyone else that urged me to continue. It does really mean alot.
>>
>>147171
Hide under the table, occasionally shooting back at them.
>>
>>147237
Obsecre where the fire bullet are coming from.
Get ready to fight.

Obviously this is an ambush and our only option is to fight for the motherland!

Or maybe for Katya and Eva
>>
>>147237
>>147171
You stay under the table. Sticking your gun out you fire in retaliation. Your ears ring as you empty the gun in the general direction of the fire. Next to you the minotaur sprays her ppsh-41, emptying her magazine in seconds. The red oni has opted to take aimed shots, you aren't sure what she's firing at. Extrapolating from previous experience, this amount of fire might suggest 20 to 30 fighters. The dead dwarf's steel bib pings as shots ricochet off of it.
>>
>>147294
Judging from your hearing, you are pretty sure the fire is coming from all sides.
>>
>>147306
>>147313
Let's just keep shooting where the most amount of fire is coming from
>>
>>147313
Advance towards the enemy by rushing form cover to cover, ask the minotaur for some suppressive fire to cover your advance. Form there we can do close combat or get a better shot at them.
>>
>>147319
>>147306

You reload and continue firing potshots, wood splits hiting you as bullets fly uncomfortably close, peeking through one of the bullet holes you see them, all using the trees as cover, slowly advancing.

Aggression overcomes you, reloading and shouting at the minitaur for cover fire you move to vault over the broken window, only to be pulled backwards. She screams at you, asking if you're suicidal. She pushes you to the ground, pulling the red oni down as well. She orders for everyone to lay as flat as possible.

You flatten your body against the ground, praying you don't get hit.

The red oni lets out a shout of pain as a bullet hits her leg, the minotaur covers her mouth to silence her.

Slowly the fire subsides, and eventually stops completely. All you can hear is the heavy breathing of your fellow guards.

You lay, tense, waiting for something to happen. You hear some shuffling outside, hushed whispers. The three of you look at each other, ready to move.

Your grip tightens on your mosin-nagant and...
>>
>>147370
Move away from the truck and find a better spot to fire upon the enemies. When they leave their cover because they think we are all dead or dying to loot the bodies and take the truck, we fire upon them.
>>
>>147471
We aren't in a truck, we're in a train compartment.

We crawl over to the door on opposite side.
Open it slightly and go through.
We are on opposite side of train.
Run towards the front compartment.
They don't expect you to be there.
There should be a metal ladder of the side of the 3rd compartment of the train.
Climb it until we have 3/4 cover.
Now put mosin on roof and start taking sniper shots

You slowly crawl over to the corner where your clips dropped. The shuffling of boots seems to be everywhere now. The minotaur and red oni have their fingers on their triggers, tense, each facing oposite directions.

Crawling over to the door that's supposed to connect compartments, you place your hand on the handle and jerk away as you hear fire coming from the other compartments. It sounds like fire from a ppsh-41. You hear shouts almost directly beside you along with the crunch of snow as some move to assist their friends in the other carriages.

You place your hand back on the door handle and ever so gently pull it down.

It clicks.

Immediately the minitaur unloads her ppsh-41, spraying down the entire length of the carriage, before spraying down the other. The red oni starts unloading as well, moving the bolt as fast as she can. Shouts of alarm from the outside at the sudden attack.

Taking advantage of these precious few seconds of surprise, you open the door and roll out, crawling under the train. The Chechans don't seem to notice you.

You start taking aimed shots, at this close of a range every shot hits. Adrenaline fills your body, every explosion making you pull the bolt back to reload. The empty casings fly out as you systematically move from one target to the next. Hidden from view by the train and snow, the Chechans do not notice you as they get picked off. Alarmed and panicked, some attempt to run back to the trees, they get picked off by the red oni, those that attempt to prone get filled with bullets by the minotaur. Both have now adopted a more aggresive positioning, kneeling and using the window frames as support. The minotaur has to stand up and lean over to shoot those who prone.

One of them sees you as she gets down to the floor, but only for a second before you blow her head off.

The guards from the other carriages seem to be winning their fight as well, as the remaining Chechans start running away. Those with mosin-nagants start picking them off.

Your hearing still impaired from all the rifle fire, you can't hear much more than some ringing.

You survey the battlefield, corpses strewn on the snow, some face down, some almost look peaceful, others ragdolled by the force of the mosin-nagant, their blood staining it a deep dark red, weapons still clutched in their gloved hands.

The pungent smell of the corpses as they evacuate their bowels fills the air. Many can't handle it and vomit on the spot.

For better or for worse, you do not. This pales in comparison to your experiences behind the munitions factory.

The minotaur finishes the injured with a burst from her submachine gun, silencing their moans and ending their pain.
>>
>>147705

She moves to the final one, only to be stopped by the scorpion-girl. Shielding the Chechan, she implores the minotaur to stop. Calling her actions barbaric, that she should be ashamed for killing the wounded. The minotaur snorts in amusement, brushing her aside. The acorpion girl staggers and practically lays over the Chechen.
The others look at the scene, not doing anything.

Who do you support?

If you support the minotaur, what do you do, assuming you want to do something, about the scorpion-girl.

If you support the scorpion-girl, how do you stop the minotaur?

Or something else entirely?
>>
>>147632
So the train goes

Locomotive in front > compartment for guards > container for missiles > container for missiles > compartment etc...

we are here to secure the cargo, if that scorpiongirl wishes to keep that person, implore her that its her responsibility to take care of its every need, make her chose whether its best for her to give up her reward/rations to a thing that was going to end us all or to put a bullet through its head.
>>
>>147740
>>147710

You mutter under your breath, "cyкa блять." These soft hearted fools have no place on the battlefield. The scorpion girl screams in protest as you pick her up and throw her aside. You tell her that this is the only mercy you can afford to give. Out in this bitter cold the only thing waiting for her is a slow death. She stands up and walks away, angry tears in her eyes as she can't bear to watch this unjustice.

You take the ppsh-41 from the minotaur and let out a short burst of fire. The body of the Chechen shudders as the bullets penetrate her body. She dies in a T-pose, head facing the sky.

Handing the gun back to the minotaur you search the bodies. The others avoid looking at you.

Immediately you notice that Chechen are all carrying german weapons. You aren't sure of the names of these weapons but you easily discern what type they are.

You pick up an assault rifle remembering Eva mentioning that she would like one. You forgot what type but you pick one up for her. it was an stg44 but those werent in service at this point in time yet

Other than these assault rifles, you see rifles much like your mosin magant, except some have a bayonet equipped, submachine guns and pistols. Some of them seem to have been carrying rocket launchers as well.

Searching the bodies you find various items that a soldier would need. A torchlight, mirror, flint and steel, first aid dressing, extra magazines or clips attatched to belts, rations, pistol holsters, sleeping bags and entrenching tools. Some of them have binoculars and grenades, others carry materials to build tents.
Many carry photos of supposed loved ones.

Their clothing seems well suited for the terrain, a bright white with plenty of insulation. A shame they're now almost all red and pink.

They are very well equipped.

The rest of the guards that can stomach it have already started looting the corpses. There is plenty to go around

You pick up an MP-40 for Eva, slinging it on the opposite side of your mosin-nagant. Searching through a corpse, you pick up a the torchlight, mirror, flint & steel, an FAD, rations which appears to be German, a pistol along with the holster, you attach it to the belt that holds their magazine pouches and wear it. you put an entrenching tool into your bag along with a binoculars and some grenades. You attach a bayonet to your mosin-nagant, and keep another one to attach to your tail. You throw a few more FAD's into your backpack.

You had to search multiple bodies to get all this equipment, many were damaged in the firefight.

You head to the other carriages, hoping to find a PPSh-41, abandoned by its user. You find one still in the hands of a dead guard, most likely killed in the initial attack. You pry her cold fingers off the trigger and add it to your growing arsenal. Walking is a bit harder now, you sink into the snow a bit deeper but you manage.

The scorpion-girl is walking around closing the eyes of the dead, those that still have eyes that is, on account of some not having a head anymore. She doesn't seem to be handling this well. You don't think she expected to actually fight anyone.

You should comfort her. Or not?

also, the PPSh-41 also did not exist, but an earlier version, the PPD-40, very similar except in name. how do you feel about me being anal about these historical facts? also >>148146 2/3 of the last thread and the entirity of this one. it is torture.

You approach the other scorpion-girl, who appears to be trying to hold herself together in the midst of this massacre. You step over some bodies to reach her. You place a hand on her shoulder and she reacts like she'd been shot. She falls backwards and crawls away from you, calling you a monster and to never touch her again. She runs back to her carriage. The commotion draws some attention, you shrug.

You pick up another MP 40 for yourself and shout to those still outside to pick up as many weapons and magazines and clips as they can and to load them onto the carriages. They do ask you ask, each girl picking up three to four weapons each, they manage to secure all the weapons and ammo.

You return to your own carriage, weapons clattering on the floor, you notice the red oni is securing the straps of the steel bib around herself.

Damn, what do you do about this?
>>
>>148255
That steel bib would be nothing but dead weight in most encounters, and considering all the guns and kit we're already packing would only serve to slow us down on our feet. Let the swole girl take it, suits her physique more than ours anyway.

You nod your head in agreement, saying that kicking ass in Tskov would be fantastic. She extends her hand and and you take it. Her grip is firm as she shakes your hand vigorously. She laughs in triumph. You sit around for a while before realizing that the train isn't moving.

You exit to take a look at the obstruction. Nearing the front of the train you see that the driver and guard commander are dead, probably the first to get targeted by the Chechens. You aren't sure how to move these logs. You spend some time looking at them, trying to think of a way to get them out of the way. Apparently you spend enough time doing this that one of the guards asks you what the plan is.

You look to the sky for an answer as the minotaur brushes up next to you and suggests using raw manpower. You thought of it but didn't think it feasible.

You take a look at the remaining guards to get a rough gauge at the collective strength.

The minotaur shakes her head in amusement as she walks up to a log, stretches her muscles and grabs it with both hands. You see her muscles strain as she pulls log. It moves, slowly.

You rush the others to assist her as you run to push the log. It takes the effort of the entire group but you manage to move the logs with just 9 people.

The entire group is visibly exhausted at the end of this, the minotaur more so than the rest. She tells you that she could have done it solo. You're pretty sure she could.

The group rests on the snow, catching their breath. After a while you've had enough, and you ask the group if anybody has experience driving a train.

You look at the group.

The group looks at you.

Some time passes before the scorpion-girl says that she knows how to, however she might be rusty. The minotaur roars in delight, "Great! We don't have to sit out here in the cold anymore."

You ask the scorpion-girl if she would drive the train. She looks around and sighs, before telling you quite grudgingly that she will. She steps to enter the locomotive before immediately exiting, doing her best to hold back vomit. One of the other guards is quite vocal in his frustration at her apparent weakness, dragging the bodies out and throwing them on the ground. She takes the dog tags off the guard commander before walking back.

Now free of dead bodies, she enters the main compartment and proceeds to re-familiarise herself with the controls. You tell the rest to mount back up in their respective compartments.

It takes a while but the train starts, slowly chugging forwards as you make the arduous journey to Tskov.

The minotaur joins you in your cabin again intending to talk to you more. She asks you a few questions about what you did before this.

How do you respond to her questions?

but of a rush so the end sucks sorry, also she responds to you agreeing like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em4hG_yO7gU

RECAP

You are Natalya Ilyushina, a non-Girtablilu scorpiongirl. Set in The USSR during start of WW2 where everyone is a monster girl.

You were fired from your job as a mercenary after killing your comrades in a botched mission.
You suspect that the meat being fed to the homeless community comes from this source but you aren't so sure anymore. You spent some time with Katya and Eva in camp, waiting to guard the missiles. Having been accused of being a leech on the camp, you fight for your right to be in camp, winning the fight, and earning your stay. Currently you've just survived an ambush on the train, killing your attackers. You looted the corpses, secured their weapons and ammo, and are on the way to Tskov.
