RECAP

You are Natalya Ilyushina, a non-Girtablilu scorpiongirl. Setting is the USSR during the start of WW2 where everyone is a monster girl.

You were fired from your job as a mercenary after killing your comrades in a botched mission. After wasting your days away in a pub, you decide to do some freelancing, taking odd jobs that people post on the town board.
You have befriended a hellhound named Eva, you dislocated her elbows and killed her friend. She doesn't seem to hold it against you. You have also informally adopted an elf-child named Katya, you found her in a house near an abandoned munitions factory where you discovered a massacre. Bodies in piles, being loaded onto a truck my a centaur. You suspect that the meat being fed to the homeless community comes from this source but you aren't so sure anymore. You spent some time with Katya and Eva in camp, waiting to guard the missiles. Having been accused of being a leech on the camp, you fight for your right to be in camp, winning the fight, and earning your stay. Eva rejects your advances on her as you leave for the town hall to commence your job guarding rockets bound for Tskov by train. Currently you've just survived an ambush on the train, killing your attackers. You looted the corpses, secured their weapons and ammo, and are on the way to Tskov, where you agreed to team up with a minotaur to fuck some shit up

You are concise in the retelling of your past, answering mostly truthfully, lying by omission instead of outright lying. Leaving out the fact that you killed your team. You recount some of your previous missions to her, various assassinations and assaults against mafia families which cause too much trouble.

She is impressed, her respect for you increasing exponentially with each successive story.

She seems almost embarrassed to share her story, just a street thug going around extorting people, trying to get into one of the many mafia families. She says that she's trying to get onto bigger and better things, and you're her way to get there.

Slightly flattered at that, the minotaur stands up tells you that she'll leave you alone. Guns clatter as she walks back to her compartment.

You take out the macaroni ration and consume it, you don't know why but you get quite hungry after firefights.

You use the downtime to touch up your appearance, taking out the mirrior and wiping off specks of blood and dirt from your face, you fix your hair as well.

The rest of the train ride is spent staring out the window, looking out for movement that might indicate another attack. Thankfully nothing happens and you reach Tskov without having to get shot at.

The train stops and everyone dismounts. This station appears to be strictly for military use, a fairly spartan design. The military personnel gaze in shock and surprise at the bullet holes on the train, exchanging whispers between each other as to what happened.

A spider-girl walks up to the group, her chitinous feet clicking as the points hit the floor. She demands to know where your guard commander is, for she much desires to speak with her.

The girl who took the guard commanders dog tags shifts forwards and hands her the dog tags.

She asks the group to tell her what happened, voice quavering slightly.

The group looks at you expectantly. You briefly describe the events that happened, how the train had to stop, ambushed on all sides and the aftermath. The spider-girl takes some time to digest this information.

She goes to the various compartments to inspect the weapons you've collected. Despite her previous mood, she seems excited now, stating that these will go to the tech squad for reverse engineering.

She congratulates the entire group on making it out alive.
Commending them on their bravery in battle.

She introduces herself as Major Vera, here to inspect the crates of rockets. But considering recent events, she says that she'll have to question each of you seperately, to get an even more accurate account of events. You don't understand her reasoning but you aren't about to argue with a major.

She brings each person to one side, you don't know what she talks to them about but it doesn't seem hostile.

When it's finally your turn, she beckon you to come over. She studies you for what seems like an eternity, scrutinising you.
>>
>>152084

It's quite uncomfortable being looked at this intensely, you can't help but fidget under her gaze. For whatever arbitrary reason she relents, giving you some breathing room.
"So, apparently you're the leader of this group of guards?" She asks, "you know, one of the questions i asked the rest was what you did to earn that title, i must say im impressed if what they told me was true. I'm inclined to believe them." She gestures to the four guns you're carrying, the belt, backpack and blood on your clothes. "The Red Army could use someone like you, good in a fight, able to take command. What do you say? If you agree i would take you under my wing." She extends her hand, ready to be shaken.

agree but we want to keep our homegirls happy, so ask if there is a way to move into a "home" so that you can be close to your "family"

or if its possible to send paychecks safetly back to refuge camp when on duty (i really like our little elf)
>>
>>152989
>>152139

Before you shake hands you tell her you have people you care about back in your home town, what would become of them?

She tells you not to worry, just tell her where they're located and she'll send some Red Army soldiers to retrieve them. She says that she'll set you up with them in a nice home here in Tskov.

Do you tell Major Vera where Eva and Katya are?
>>
>>153024
agree and have them be sent to new location. also make sure to tell them not to ruffle up them, as one got a small handicap from previous combat.

it may seem rude to have them moved from the refugecamp but it is needed, who knows if someone from the camp would attack them in search of food?
>>
>>153024
Hell no, life of the freelancer is one for us, politely decline. We're still on to fuck shit up with the minotaur anyway.
>>
>>153060
>>153076

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be a choice where i can incorporates everyones ideas. We're going to need to choose here.
>>
>>153079
Well, you know where I stand on the issue, working for ourselves is much more fun than having someone give us orders. If we want to compromise we can always ask if we can think about it and spend some time discussing it amongst ourselves as players.
>>
alright, but getting extra tasks from the Red Army would help us make some sort of reputation, also money

maybe we should wait for more players before deciding?
>>
>>153083
Sounds good, what do the rest think?
>>
>>153094
>>153083
Same deal, let me head home first and ill write more.
>>
>>153095
Sorry I honestly can't decide right now on which choice to go with. Can we ask her to give us a day or two to decide?
>>
>>153099
We definitely could!
>>
>>153099
this
>>
>>152139
I think we should do it. also ask if the minotaur can join us ..
>>
1 vote for no, 1 undecided and 2 votes for yes.
>>
>>153099
this sounds like the best action for this moment
>>
>>152084

You tell her where they are, and she says she'll send her best men to retrieve them, she asks if you have anything else to ask. You do have one more question. You ask her if the minotaur could join you, you say she has proven herself in the heat of the battle, saving your life. She is also very strong.

She looks at the minotaur in disdain, "I have no need of thugs like her, and even if i did i have no plans of having two understudies. If courage, bravery and strength are your criteria for what makes a good soldier, i guarantee you will find those characteristics in surplus, in better people than her, where i am taking you. So, i ask you again, how will it be? i will requisition a nice house for you and your friends where you can stay together here in Tskov, and you will, in due time and under my guidance, become a hero to the people."

You ask her if she can give you some time to think it over, this is a big decision after all.

Unfortunately, she tells you no. She is a busy woman, though she will be upset if you deny the request, you must decide now.
>>
>>153099
For what it's worth I'll change my vote to back this to keep things moving.
>>
>>153195
boo...
>>
>>153196

You think about the offer, it doesn't sound that much more different than your work with the mercenary company, just with an official title and the chance of glory. had you not been fired, you would have continued working at the mercenary company, the freelancing you did was not in your 5 year plan.
>>
>>153197
what'd i do D:
>>
>>153211
Oh don't mind me I'm not being serious, I just posted my vote change at the exact same time you posted that. I would have preferred a chance for us as players to come to a consensus over this while we wrecked shit with the horned chick since we pretty much all voted for that, but this is acceptable.

I for one, vote to say no. Got no interest in throwing our scorp girl into a meat grinder yet, playing as a literal murderhobo is too much fun just at the moment. Hopefully once things start to really heat up with the Nazi's we'll get a better offer as a semi independent contractor, but for now I prefer staying unaffiliated.
>>
>>153231
currently just waiting for the other dudes to pipe in, now we know a bit more about her character and stuff.
>>
>>153205
I would vote that we agree on joining the red army

battling the nazis, evacuating the villages in the border, maybe even get to ride a tank
>>
>>153231
it seem unfortunately, that we will be joining them. don't worry, i dont think youll be too upset.
>>
>>153251
unfortunate for you that is, is what i meant. coz you didnt want to join them.
>>
>>153253
It's all good, I have faith in your QMing skills to make things interesting either way.

>>153195

She extends her hand for the second time, and you take it. She grins, telling you that you will not regret this decision. She shouts for store personnel to unload the rockets and hands each of the guards a slip of paper, filled with details on the job ultimately used to collect their pay. Pointing to a troll wearing a peaked cap, she tells them to hand the slips to her for payment. She does not give you one.

The minotaur gives you confused, hurt look. You mouth an apology to her as she walks away with the group. Addressing you, Major Vera tells you that your payment will be separate from the rest. She asks you to follow her to her office.

You exit the train station and enter the city. Substantially more lively than your home town, there are cars and trucks containing soldiers constantly passing by on the highway, A contingent of soldiers walk into the train station, no doubt bound for Poland on an armoured train. There is a statue of Lenin, one leg up on a rock holding CCCP flag, triumphant. Everywhere workers are rushing around with paperwork, Red Army officers stand around looking important. Somewhere in the distance a clock tower chimes, indicating that it is 1200 hours. You stand still, absorbing this new city. Major Vera prompts you to follow her as she enters a black sedan. She tells the driver to take her back to headquarters.

The majority of the drive is spent in silence, with only occasional passing comments from the Major about the city.

You arrive at your destination and exit the car. Major Vera announces to you that this is Astaporvo Square where you will report to, should she be in need of your services. Built of red brick, the design is almost regal . Rectangular in shape, ornate designs decorate the black spiked fence surrounding it. She ushers you in, passing the security without so much as an acknowledgement of her existence, she leads you up some stairs and through some corridors before opening a door labelled " Maйóp Vepa Caдыкoвa". She enters it and holds the door for you, closing it behind you.

She sits down behind her desk and motions for you to do the same on the opposite side. The first thing she does is to take out a stack of notes, counting out six 100 ruble notes and hands them to you, stating that it's your payment for the job. You take it and place it with the rest of your money. She says that the rest received 400 rubles, 100 more than what they were meant to take in acknowledgement of the firefight. She tells you that if you continue to outperform the rest like you did before, 600 rubles will seem like a paltry sum.

Taking out some papers, she tells you to read them thoroughly, and sign on to sign on the lines indicated once you have finished. She waits patiently as you do so.

I way too much time deciding on her last name, also next parts coming soon, its just taking alot more research than i anticipated. attached is similar to what i had in mind for our initial view of the city.

...What sort of monstergirl was Lenin?
>>
>>153303

As you read through the papers, you notice a lot of references to the NKVD, or People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs, and the secret police. your forehead creases in concern, you've heard stories of the NKVD and what they do, known for the activities of the GULAG, where they execute their prisoners and the formation of the GUGB, an intelligence service. The secret police on the other hand, act beyond the law, protecting the interests of the CCCP and Stalin.

Now that you think about it, you kind of already did that when you were working for the mercenary company.

Continuing on, you see that one of the papers is a nondisclosure agreement, preventing you from talking about your work with anyone.

Do you sign these papers?
if you want to, read up on the NKVD, interesting stuff that will provide more detail on this than i can

You put the papers down and sit back up, looking at Major Vera you tell her that you cannot sign the papers in good conscience, knowing what you know of the secret service and NKVD. She looks at you in disappointment, she asks if you're sure.

You tell her that you are.

She sighs and collects the paper, placing them back in her drawer. She directs you to the door, telling you that you are free to go.

You open the door and take your leave, walking down the stairs you exit the building.

You aren't sure if you've made a mistake not signing it, or if you saved yourself a lot of trouble but it isn't worth dwelling on now.

The breeze ruffles your hair. You are still free to do what you want, with nothing binding you, what do you do now?

Unfortunately the ride from the train station was quite far, and not at all feasible to walk to, it would likely take hours, by which time the minotaur would have sure left. You would take a Marshrutka, a routed taxi, but the Red Army requisitioned all of them at the start of The Great Patriotic War

It seems that you won't be able to find that boisterous minotaur.

You walk down the street to a street vendor, selling various buns. You buy 2 Chiburekki's for 40 kopeks, it's nice and filling.

Unable to find your would be partner in crime, and a long way away from the train station it seems you are stranded in Tskov.

You look around for a while longer, despair settling in your heart. Suddenly, you get an epiphany, why don't you take the buses? You walk around looking for a bus stop, finding one a few streets away, you wonder why you didn't see it earlier.

You look at the bus route and lo and behold, it does lead to that train station. You wait for about 5 minutes before it appears, you wait for those on board to exit before you enter. Paying the fee of 5 kopeks, you take a seat and wait to arrive at your destination.

The city is quite nice, Buildings are fairly well kept, trees line the roads which are surprisingly well maintained, most of the vehicles driving by are military ones.

The bus finally reaches the station and you alight, eager to find the minotaur you rush through the station, trying to remember where you were.

and i will write the next part later.
>>
>>153536

Walking around you see the "guards" sitting around, the minotaurs back facing you. You walk up to them and ask them what's up, the minotaur turns her head and her eyes widen in surprise, "I thought you left with that bitch to go do some official work?" You tell her that things just didn't work out. Answering your question she says that they're just waiting for payment, in true militaristic fashion, nothing can be achieved without a healthy dose of waiting.

You sit with them, telling them of the headquarters and how nice it looked, the fancy interiors and nice pens. You guys sit around for an hour or so before a lady comes up tot he group and directs them to follow her. She leads them to a counter where she gets on the opposite side and hands out 400 rubles to each girl, their eyes widen at this sum of money. To many, this would be the equivalent of 2 or 3 months wage.

The minotaur grins at you at she pockets the money.

With nothing to keep the group together, they disperse, branching of into pairs or leaving alone. The minotaur joins you as you exit.

She tells you that she has connections in Tskov, able to provide a place to stay, and contracts to fulfill. She asks you to follow her.

Don't really have the time to write more, so i do apologize. i'll definitely write more tomorrow.

as usual, feedback etc etc

in addition to that, i tried to make it clearer that a few hundred ruble is now worth alot more in the last update,

Keep going with the slavic/german names, I think the story becomes more wholesome that way.

You seem to have grasped the concept of running a WW2 scenario with monstergirls being the theme really well so far, even if we play as a scorpiongirl that doesnt really know what social interactions are suitable for different occasions
And avoiding lewd scene requests

Btw is it true that you use the mobile for writing this quest?

Before moving off, she mentions that her name is Tatyana. You tell her yours in return and the two of you board the bus, travelling the same route as before.

The requisition of cars by the Red Army has made public transport the only viable way of getting around Soviet cities, so buses are quite often packed full. Tatyana has issues fitting on the bus, her large size a hindrance rather than a help in this particular situation. She manages to squeeze on, those around you not eager to be too close to a girl carrying four guns, a deadly pincer and multiple magazines. Getting off is an issue though, with girls having to actually leave the bus before there is enough space for the two of you to alight. You have to change buses a few times before reaching your destination, thankfully the other buses not nearly as full as the first one.

Leaving the city center, you realise that it was all a show. as you move further into the outskirts of the city, the effort that went into making the nice bright facade Tskov with Astaporvo Square and the surrounding areas clearly did not extend past a certain range. The buildings and scenery getting less and less well maintained, almost like they planned the city as a gradient. In your current locations, the buildings are made of dreary grey concrete, water stains applying an ugly dark gray colour to an already bleak environment.

Tatyana asks you to follow her as she leads you past rows of identical khrushchyovka's before stopping. You notice that her PPD-40 is gone, probably forced to return it before receiving her payment. you wonder why you were allowed to keep your guns.

You look around but the only difference you can tell between the buildings were the leafless trees surrounding them. You enter the building and ascend one flight of steps and she knocks on a door. You hear something shifting behind the door before it open, just enough for whoever is inside to get a peek of any visitors. You hear a coarse chortle behind the door as it closes again. You hear a latch undo as the door opens fully this time, revealing an ape-girl who immediately gives Tatyana a hug. Tatyana introduces the two of you, introducing the ape-girl as Nina, an old friend, and you as the person she saved the life of. She gives you a cheeky grin.

Nina invites the two of you in. she closes the door and you see that the shifting sounds was a desk. she moves it back so that it's blocking the door. The apartment smells heavily of cigarettes, a half empty packet of Belomorkanal's on the table would explain that, and her coarse voice.

She asks Tatyana what she'd doing back here in this shit hole of a city. She explains what happened on the train ride and Nina claps her hands and laughs in delight at the story, a bit odd considering the nature of it but her face turns serious when Tatyana mentions why the two of you are together. Nina explains that she still knows some people connected to the underground.
>>
>>156910

And that she might be able to get some contracts written up, but not today. Today, she doesn't feel particularly energetic. She takes a cigarette and lights it, without regard for whether you care or not. She sits down on a couch, the ceiling directly above it stained brown with cigarette smoke. crossing her legs, she tells the two of you that she's willing to let you stay here with her, provided she receives 30% of your earnings from contracts she provides you.

What do you say to this?
>>
>>156936
Sounds good to me
>>
>>156936
Gonna have to be pretty damn high paying contracts for 30% sweetheart.
>>
>>156945
>>156936
>>157148

You tell her they better pay high to justify that 30% cut.

Nina smirks and leans out of her couch to shake both your hands, before leaning back and relaxing, taking a long drag from her cigarette. She pays you no mind as the two of you stand around, unsure of what to do.

Tatyana asks you to follow her, she knows other people in the area that would be willing to help her.

You walk around the block, knocking on various doors. Some don't answer, other slam the door in your face. It seems friends of Tatyana might not have been friends after all.

Eventually, after a string of shouts saying they do not want solicitors, Tatyana collapses on to the floor, knees propped up she leans against the wall.
Forehead creased in frown, she wonders why no one answered her.

You stay there for a while. You wonder how Eva and Katya are doing, what shenanigans they're up to. You hope Eva doesn't teach her anything inappropriate.

Suddenly, without warning, Tatyana stands up, her face filled with frustration and anger. She tells you that she's heading back to Nina's, but you're free to do whatever you want. She walks off without waiting for you.

>>157306 alright, I'm calling <starting location> Opochka.

You get up and wander around, to familiarise yourself with the general area. The khrushchyovka's seem to be arranged in squares, with each apartment making up one side of the square. In the middle of each square there's a playground, fairly simple, a swing set, see-saws, slides and a merry go round. You don't see any children playing in them.

You look around for a town board, or something similar to what Opochka had but you can't find one. You don't get the same sense of cohesion here that you did back home. It honestly feels slightly desolate here, nothing like what the city centre promised. This place is starting to get you down just by existing.

You keep walking around, trying to find something of interest.

You don't.

Defeated, you sit on the swings and think about Eva and Katya again, day dreaming about what they might be doing, how Eva's holding up without you to help her. Your mind starts to wonder.

A shriek from your left shatters your thoughts, It seems someone is being mugged, do you investigate the noise?
>>
>>157391
Yes we do. Got nothing better to do.
>>
>>157529
>>157391

You get off the swing and run towards the noise, turning the corner you see Tatyana cornering a slime-girl, one hand on her mouth to stop any further noises.

Do you stop her?
>>
>>157554
Ask what she's up to.
>>
>>157586
>>157554

You make your presence known by shouting at Tatyana, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING‽"

Tatyana's head snaps to look at you and the slime girl uses the distraction to slip free of her grasp. She runs away, presumably back to her apartment. Tatyana does not give chase.

Tatyana walks up to you, facial expressions changing between frustration and shame. She tells you it wasn't what it looked like, "That slime girl, she bumped into me on purpose, I had to...I...."

She falters as she fails to think of a convincing argument. She looks away, unable to meet your eyes.

Almost like a switch is flip, she says to you, voice raised, "What businesses is it of yours what I do in my own free time?
>>
>>157650
If you rather be a mugger all your life that is your choice, I wont stop you. But when folks starts hunting you down, dont take it personally that I might be interested in the reward than keeping you safe.

>>
>>157670
Good retort.
>>
>>157670
>>157650

You tell her that she can do whatever she wants, you don't care but you warn her that if she messes with the wrong girl who puts a price on her head, don't take it personally when you decide that the reward is worth more than the effort it will to keep her safe.

She narrows her eyes before snorting, she pushes past you and walks off. Cocky...
>>
>>157727
ill write the next part later
>>
>>157727

You sigh, You shouldn't be surprised considering her background but you can't help but be dissapointed.

You walk back to the swings but a small cough behind you makes you turn around.

It's the slime girl from before, timidly she thanks you for stopping that bully from hurting her. She asks if you would like to join her in her apartment, there's something she would like you ask of you.

i'm just going to assume you guys will say "yes"

You follow her into her apartment, she pull sup a chair for you to sit on and offers you some tea and biscuits. You politely decline. Sitting on another chair she says she saw how fearlessly you confronted that minotaur, and that she would like to make use of someone like you.

She tells you that she's been having troubles with a bully, someone that has been tormenting her her entire life, pushing her into puddles, insulting and berating her for the smallest things, physically abusing her. She says that she does it to her friends to, not just her. She asks if you would be willing to send a message on her behalf. To leave her and her friends alone.
She wouldn't be able to pay you much but she would be in your debt if you do this for her.

Almost as an afterthought, she mentions in a soft voice that her bully is an ushi-oni.

Oh. Right...

Ushi-Oni are terryfying. Possessing the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a spider, they are extremely ferocious, capable of shooting out thick rope like webbing, they are capable of quickly regenerating after being wounded, apparently not feeling any pain at all from minor wounds.

i know i said no magic, but i think characteristics of the various monstergirls i use are important to stay true to.
>>

We will concider it, just with more caution, dont want another hellhound hostage like when the Oni was disposed off

Ask for direction and if she knows anymore details about this person

Tell her we can't think of any way of beating a ushi oni without actually killing her. Because honestly I can't, just about the only thing that will stop a pissed off ushi oni is copious amounts of venom, which conveniently posses.
>>
>>157827

You cautiously accept, asking for more details on her. These are the things she tells you

1) Green skin, Heavily tattooed.
2) Has been to jail before
3) Always hangs out with a group red onis and ogres, they are also heavily tattooed.
4) They often hang out inside the ushi-onis apartment, near here, or at a cafe near by. She provides you with directions to both
5) They drink a lot when they are together

Why didn't she tell you she had a group of friends before? The clock onthe wall says its 2 pm.

How do you go about dealing with this?
>>
>>157875

You look back from the clock to the slime girl and sigh. You tell her the truth, that you honestly cannot think of a way to make her problems go away without killing the ushi oni.

She gasps and looks to the ground, thinking it over for no more than a minute. She says softly, barely perceptible to your ears, "OK, i'm not sure she deserves to live, she has done horrible things."

Slightly unnerving with how quickly she came to that conclusion
>>
>>157877
Find Tatyana and tell her you just got a job from the slime girl she was beating on. Not for her, for a ushi oni. Got to watch the quiet ones girl, they're the ones who hire types like us.

You tell her that you'll get the job done, her face lights up and she thanks you profusely. You decline her offer of tea and biscuits one more time before you leave.
You head back to Nina's place in the hopes that Tatyana's there, and not beating on another poor helpless girl.

You hear the shifting of furniture as the door to Nina's apartment opens, and quite conveniently, Tatyana answers the door. You tell her that she shouldn't harass random girls she finds, "That slime girl you were mugging or whatever? She approached me after you left and gave me a job." Tatyana's eyes narrow. "No, It's not a hit on you, it's for an ushi-oni." Her face turns into a concerned frown. "You wanted to fuck some shit up? This is a prime opportunity, we kill the ushi oni, maybe her friends to and call it a day."

She seems to like the phrase "fuck shit up" as she immediately perks up and agrees.

Where do you head to first, her apartment or to the cafe? Or something else?
>>
>>157898
Maybe we should tail her, figure out when she's alone and get the drop on her. And are we at least going to try beating the shit out of her or we going to go straight for the kill?
>>
>>157898

Whether we try to beat the shit out of her or straight up kill her is up to you guys. And you don't even know where she is currently, how would you tail her?
>>
>>157909
Oh, right, surreptitiously check out her apartment. If she's there by herself we can do this job double quick, and if not head on down to the cafe and wait till she's by herself.
>>
>>157916
>>157898

You lead the way to the ushi onis apartment. It's in the building opposite Nina's. You walk up to the door, you don't hear anything coming from the other side. She must be at the cafe.

You walk over to the cafe, it isn't that far away from the khrushchyovka's. Approaching it, you see them. Sitting outside there's about 7 of them, inclusive of your target. They're making quite a ruckus, guffawing, hooting and whistling at passer by's, you see empty bottles of vodka on the tables, along with ash tray filled with cigarette ashes. They're loud, scaring away other customers, no one else is inside the cafe.

You hang around for a while, leaning against the building opposite, using your peripheral vision to look at them. They stay there for a really really long time. The sun starts to set before they leave, in a group, going back in the direction of the ushi onis apartment. An Ogre spits throws lit cigarette butt on you as they walk past you, you scramble to get it off as she laughs sadistically. The lingering cloying smell of alcohol and cigarettes taints the air.

You follow behind them, leaving a large gap. They walk back to the khrushchyovka, presumably back to the ushi onis apartment, loud and obnoxious.
>>
>>157987
We should have asked Nina if they usually bunk as a group at the apartment. Wait, her place is literally across the street, let's have Tatyana stake out the ushi's place and pop by to ask her.
>>
>>158001
>>157987

You tell Tatyana to stay here, stay hidden in case any of them leave or do something weird. She nods, moving to hide behind a tree. You walk back to Nina's place, knocking on her door. You hear the scraping of wood and the door open, undoing the latch she walks back to her couch and tells you to close it behind her.

You tell her that you just wanted to ask her a question, "Does the ushi-oni living in the building opposite us normally let her friends stay over?"

"The fuck do you want to know about her for? Don't go messing around with things you cannot fathom knowing. She's deep with the mob, i wouldn't fuck with them unless you wanna be fucked back, and no, i don't fuckin' know if her friends stay over. You bring any trouble to me and any deal we have, or will have, is off the table."
>>
>>158023
You close the door behind you and you head back to Tatyana. The sky is starting to darken now, and she reports that nothing has happened. You wait for a long time behind that tree, and nothing happens.
>>
Well shit. We should call it off.
>>
>>158026
continue waiting, they will have to leave eventually and we can stalk them for an opportune time to strike and kill the ushi-oni off.

We still got our 3 weapons? Loan one to Tatyana.

you're waiting outside the building behind a tree, to see if anyone has left the apartment, nobody has thus far. no one is around except those in their apartments, but they're most likely sleeping.
>>

Ok, we got some time then, go buy some materials for a few Molotov cocktails and two fucking masks already. Throw a few cocktails inside and then mow them down when they try to flee form the burning café.

>>
>>161445
I kind of prefer the idea of attempting to beat them down the old fashioned way and only resort to actually massacring them if it looks like we're getting overpowered. They're all in with the mob, killing them all straight up might be less than ideal.

I say we find some big heavy clubs or poles of some sort and beat the ever living shit out of all of them. Kick down the front door if they're asleep, and really crack some skulls. For the ogres and onis, we only need to break a limb or two to permanently take them out of the fight, and for the ushi herself will regenerate from virtually any physical damage so we can really go all out on her. I'm talking gouge her eyes out, mangle her limbs to the point she will have to rip them off and grow them back. And of course this is while fully masked, and with our submachine guns at hand at all times in case things go south.
>>
>>161497

You move away from the tree to try and look through her window, unfortunately her apartment is on the second story, and it being so dark, you can't see anything.
>>
>>161504
If we go this route, we'll have to buy the masks tomorrow. and if we want to wait for them to crash at her apartment again, we'll have to wait another ~20 hours.

You motion to Tatyana to be quiet, and you open the door very slowly. It doesn't make a noise as it opens. Carefully and cautiously you enter the room, Tatyana very close behind you.

There are sleeping ogres and red-onis everywhere, on the floor, on the couch, on foldable chairs. The smell of vodka is strong and smoke is repulsive and strong. You do not see the ushi-oni.

Unsheathing the knife from the holster on your belt, you move to the closest mobster, an ogre, long hair covering her pierced face. You put your hand over her mouth as you simultaneously insert your knife deep into her neck, pulling up in a way that severs her windpipe, carotid and jugular arteries in one swift, practiced, motion. Her eyes open in alarm as her body twitches and spasms involuntarily. Unable to scream or shout for help, all she can do is grasp feebly at your hands, and attempt to breathe through her severed wind pipe, taking giant gasping breaths, choking on her own blood. You place a hand on the gash to mute any sounds.

She loses consciousness quickly, heart still beating, blood still flowing from her arteries.

She loses her life soon after.

You work quickly and silently, efficiently working your way through the bodies in the same way you dealt with the first. At one point, it get's a bit tense, The spasms of an ogre causing her to repeatedly hit the red-oni beside her, waking her up. Bleary eyed she looks at you, her faced intensely confused.

Working quick, you immediately move to deal with her, her ogre friend still in the throes of death beside her.

Tatyana stares at you in awe at your proficiency. The smell of blood now mingling with the smell of alcohol and smoke, creating a new sickening smell. You wipe your knife and hands on a curtain, cleaning it of the blood. That could have gone a lot worse.

Now this leaves the ushi-oni, you explore the apartment, careful to avoid the pools of blood. You find her, sleeping on her back, legs splayed out on a bed.

How do you deal with her?

Upon her return, You and Tatyana look at each other, she grins at you, before you both unload your guns on the sleeping ushi-oni. The room is filled with the sound of gunfire as her body is peppered with bullets. The small room amplifying the sound of the gunfire, you can't hear much aside from ringing. Tatyana rubbing her ears, she's experiencing the same thing as you. You keep forgetting to buy earplugs. Shaking your head you find that Tatyana has already started moving towards the ushi-oni, overcome with bloodlust, she drives the knife into her heart multiple times, each time she pulls the knife out she's splattered with blood.

You move to cut off the ushi-onis head, but you stop as Tatyana grunts in pain.

Hm. That's odd.

Tatyana drops the knife, falling to the floor as she lets out a strangled shout, curling up in a foetal position she lets out a horrific, primal scream. She stands up, preparing to charge you.

Oh dear, it seems that the demonic energy in the ushi-onis blood has corrupted her.

Running for the door, Tatyana roars in anger as she changes direction, again aiming to gore you with her horns. You make it out of the door in time, sidestepping so that Tatyana runs into the wall.

Momentarily dazed, she quickly shakes it off, turning to face you she roars, only to be cut short as you raise the butt of the mosin nagant to her head and slam it forward. Her thick skull absorbs alot of the impact, leaving her stunned but still standing. You slam it onto her head a few more times, and she drops like a sack of bricks.

>>
>>161706
well, in-universe, if you're a human and you become corrupted you turn into a monster girl.

From http://monstergirlencyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Fairy, particularly the last 3 lines of the first paragraph, but when a fairy gets exposed to demonic energy, they become nymphomaniacs.

Now, most monsters already have demonic energy in them so being exposed to more doesn't do anything to them but i thought it would be interesting if being exposed to a whole bunch, like the demonic energy contained in the blood of an ushi-oni, turns them bonkers.

If you don't like that sure, it could be a temporary thing.

also currently we are carrying around 15kg's of items. we can definitely carry more. 25 maybe? 30 would be a stretch but manageable.

Retrieve our loaned weapon, she won't need it anymore, heh. Take a quick look at the apartment for any valuables/interesting items before finally locking up the apartment and GTFO.

You retrieve the PPD-40 from the corridor, you two Nagant M1895 revolver's from the dead gang mambers and stick them in your bag, along with 6 speedloaders. You search through their coat pockets and wallets, collecting a total of 140 rubles.
You discard your knife tainted with the ushi-oni's blood and acquire a new one. It doesn't fit perfectly into the holster but it fits well enough.

You search around but you don't find anything else of interest. Leaving the gruesome seen behind you, you close the door and head back to Nina's apartment. Nobody seems to have bothered to, or dared to inspect the gunshots.

You knock on her door to no avail. Your knocks get progressively louder until you hear a very loud "FUCK OFF" from Nina. You shout back that it's you.

You stand there waiting expectantly.

After a while you finally hear the shifting of furniture and the undoing of a door latch as Nina lets you in. She gives you the evil eye along with some indistinct grumbles as you enter. You unsling your weapons and place them on the ground as Nina asks you where Tatyana is.

I hate to say it, but I think we're going to have to kill Nina. She knows of our interest in the Ushi and her crew, and our ties to Tatyana, whose corpse we left at the scene of the crime. Come morning the mob is going to be upending the town looking for who did this, and Nina is the only one who could and would lead them right to us. Kill her now before she gets the chance.

I'm holding out on the hope that this sort of shit will end as we settle into the character and the setting, but I get why you're fed up with the way this quest is going. Later man.

Nice
>>
We should`ve knocked Tatyana out and tied her up before asking Nina what to do.
>>
i'm going to stop writing for tonight, apparently i'm taking this quest in the wrong direction and i'm not entirely sure what i'm doing wrong, so please tell me what you guys don't like, else i'm just going to keep writing in a way that isn't interesting/exciting to read.

I think we should have gone into the military

Do you think we can go back.. It'll be better if we could get hero status and better pay
>>
>>162245
well, that's just an option you could've chosen, also it was the secret service.

but like, there's an issue in my writing style i think? i'm not sure what
>>162087
and
>>162098

We aint meta gaming.
If you were a monster girl you would know everything about monster girls.

We humans know everything about animals. Venomous snakes. If curable.

So surely we would know that the corruption was permanent.

Monster girls would know everything about each other because their lives depend on it.

If you think we metagaming then you should drive off a cliff and into a frozen lake
>>
Killing the thread unless i get feedback on the issues
>>
>>162292
I can agree on this. We should have a basic knowledge on every type of monstergirl.
>>
I personally have no issues with the quest. Carry on
>>
>>164982
Providing us with some background information pertaining to the events at hand or including them in the narrative leading up to the vote would be nice, having an informed opinion is always handy. Enjoying your quest either way, looking forward to more.
>>
