You're a Cave Hydra, big and mighty. But now you find yourself to be quite exhausted with this whole 'siege' and 'army' thing you're doing. And while at first you had no one to bother about this fact, you've ran into Vulpes; The one who dragged you into this.

To sum up what you had to go through would take a little bit. But now you have some time after slaying this oversized, armored blue insect, whose corpse is still twitching right in front of you after being squashed. Vulpes himself appeared after jumping out of a window, holding one of the Gold and Blue dressed humans in his tiny jaw. Much to your surprise, his owner is nowhere to be seen.

"So, Cave Hydra. Enjoying your time spent here? Nothing can really tire you out like this!"

>"Yes, I am tired. No, I am not enjoying myself. I want this to finish as soon as plausible. Where is your 'master'?"
>He does have a point, rarely could you actually work out your body like this. "I do. But when does this end? And where's your, 'owner'."

"Yes, I am tired. No, I am not enjoying myself. I want this to finish as soon as plausible. Where is your 'master'?" You ask in return, licking your wounds, urging them to close and heal faster. You can dedicate only so much time to killing before being killed yourself.

Your taunt visibly irks the Steppe Wolf, making him growl just a little bit before silencing down, licking his snout and clearing it from all the blood before stepping closer, inspecting your most recent kill.

"That's too bad, I guessed that you'd have fun ripping people apart. Each to his own I suppose. And we're winning so far, so we're not stopping until they rout or somehow, magically, push us back. The fastest way to make them give up would be to kill their leader, which we're trying to locate."

He barks out, sniffing at the insect before choking on the smell. He must have a distaste for them, you're not surprised. Bugs are not tasty and seeing one this big does not fill you with the need to eat any more.

"We split deeper in the city... Look how much good brought you going alone. You're so in state to fight any further." Vulpes chuckles, taunting you in return.

>You will not be taunted, intimidate him.
>Ignore the taunt. "So the moment we kill the leader, we're done? Good. I know what to look for now."
>"I can't care less. I did my part of the deal, I don't like this. I am going off." Head to the exit, this isn't what you wanted.

"Show me where the enemy leader is, and I'll show you what I will turn you into if you insult me again." You say, all of you growling as you step closer and snap your jaws right in front of him. Vulpes nearly squeals in fear, backing off immediately a very huge and safe distance away.

"Gods, calm down.. The leader is said to explode on impact whenever he throws himself, so follow the explosions and magical scent after them and you're bound to find him if you're fast enough. Our lord, Udaris, is already on the hunt for him. He really wants him dead."

You exhale air through your nostrils before an explosion echoes throughout the city, and right after it, the scent of magic you are not so keen of. At least this saves you some time in form of not having to wait for a lead like this to pop up. Convenient.

"...That's him." Vulpes says, looking off into the direction from where the trail came.

>Head off immediately. Killing him as soon as possible will do only good.
>You can lick your wounds some more, you're in no real rush.

Why do I get the distinct feeling we're probably going to lose a head here

Taking a deep breath, you move your body, dragging yourself across the alleyways with haste while trying to locate the enemy leader. Vulpes himself probably went off to do the same, but you cannot tell. He jumped into another building and swiftly disappeared from your sight.

Pushing through, you star to find more and more bodies, much to your surprise, some of them don't wear the friendly red and black or the rival's blue and golden. It's just mish mash of plain looking coverings for the bipeds body, not even armor. You'll have to figure it out later however, you got something much more important to do than gawking at human's stupid and often hilarious over-complexity.

At first, you're afraid that you lost track, the scent wears off and no more explosions appear for you to lock onto. But your worries are quickly removed with deafening fervor; one of his attacks appeared nearly next to you. You slowly squeeze through the alleyway that leads to another, rather sizeable place that's covered in bodies. And as you approach it, you see a surprisingly tall human being sent flying backwards.

He's clothed in purple robes and what you can only call blinding armor. Even during the night, where the moon barely pushes itself through the clouds, your eyes can barely stand looking at it. You don't want to look at it during a bright day. In his hand, you see not a sword or a pike, but something different; a mace. It's surrounded by ever-growing energy.

Once he stands up, you hear him yelling something before being shut down with a yell of someone else. They both carry themselves like they're Alpha's in their voices. Commanding rather than listening to each other.

>You can't care less about what's going on, this is most likely him. Attack.
>Wait, see what happens.

You stay silent, trying to level your hard to catch breath as they continue shouting at each other. The one who you can see is clearly preparing for a strike, or is simply thoroughly angered. Had you actually known their language, you could make out something out of it. But as it is, you have to enjoy just the visuals.

Although not for long, few seconds later, he jumps into the air. You spot that his legs are now surrounded by that magical power from his weapon. That vicious, purple light also latches itself onto his back, creating wings as he jumps into the air and disappears behind the building. Moments after, you hear an explosion roar and rip the air around the impact. Deciding to watch the fight itself, you get closer, wanting to see what's off-screen, but once again in mere moments, you are forced to stop.

Another man is sent flying, sharing the tallness of the other one. But he's adorned in mostly red armor, outlined with black color. He rolls on the ground, dropping his weapon, a surprisingly huge (for a human) axe. They still continue their banter, but it seems that the tide of battle shifted wildly. But you have a strong sense that there's more to their fighting than just trying to kill each other. They spend more time talking than actually trying to murder each other.

>No doubt these are the so called leaders. Keep watching, this is vaguely interesting.

We kind of need to know who we have to kill.
Fighting two armys trying to get out of here is not something ide like to embark on.

Although who you presume to be the leader of the army you fight for to be in a troublesome position, you decide to keep yourself calm and continue being a simple onlooker of this situation. This is clearly something deeper than simple hatred.

However, you find yourself having trouble to keep this level of calm, especially with your current state of exhaustion. In fact you feel that this is taking even bigger toll on your body and levels of energy. But you get what you have waited for. Thankfully no one noticed your presence as well.

The man in armor gets onto his knee, pointing at the other person. Still yelling, this time even more than before. And in a sudden, sharp movement, he lunges at him, his punch connecting as a loud bang of metal against metal echoes just a little bit before they return to fighting.

The fight itself goes back and forth until the tide of this battle is turned yet again, although now it has escalated to immense degree. One of the building is sliced down by the massive axe in a flash of white light. The blow sending the other leader flying once again, crashing his body against some rubble before picking himself up and returning to the fray without diminished fervor.

I mean, I WANT to eat the explode-y dude, but these guys seem to have some kind of history, and might get touchy if we just show up and nom him

Fucking hell. Family stuff popped up. Oh well, I was planning on ending soon either way.

Sadly I can't archive the thread or stick for QnA, I must skedaddle this very moment.

Sorry folks, see you sometime soon.
