Hello one and all, and welcome to Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Quest. A quest inspired by the incredibly weeaboo series Dangan Ronpa. You like killing games like Battle Royale? You like Murder Mysteries? You just might enjoy this quest! (I make no guarantees though.) This quest is set at the prestigious Yggdrasil Academy International, where a mysterious set of circumstances unfold.

Yggdrasil Academy is a prestigious boarding school catering to a specific set of secondary school students gathered from four countries: The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States. There are two main entry requirements for this academy. One, students must already be attending secondary school, and be at least 16 years of age. Two, students must be the absolute best at a specific talent out of the combined student body of the four countries listed above. There is no way to apply to Yggdrasil Academy. The only way in is for the school itself to scout you. Because all students attending the academy have something they specifically are the absolute best at, they are referred to by a specific title.

Omegas.

As they're the complete end-point when it comes to students in pursuit of that talent, it's only fitting to call these end-points of talent Omegas. After all, there's no surpassing an Omega.

Our Protagonist, Zachary Lineman, is the Omega Actor. After discovering the body of one of his classmates, Zachary went on to solve the case and out the murderer, leading to their execution. As such, the student body has dropped from a fairly sizable sixteen students to a slightly less robust fourteen.

DAY 5: BEGIN

You awaken with a start, your brain performing flips inside your skull. You just had a rather disturbing nightmare. Nothing original, just you strapped to a chair and having Edward's execution done to you. So, he's really gone then, him and Quentin both. But there's no time to spend moping about, you need to start your day. You wash, dress in your usual outfit, and step out into the Dormitory Hall. Breakfast ought to be on by now.

>What do you do?

(Oh, and have a floor plan.)

You head down to breakfast, and more importantly, Juliet. You know she has not taken well to the murder, and the following execution. But you can't tell if she's taking it so hard because someone died on her watch, or because it means the students have started to fight among themselves. You enter the dining hall and immediately notice the sullen mood permeating the air. Everyone has downcast eyes and are mindlessly chewing on cereal. You grab a bowl, pour your own cereal, add milk, and sit down next to Juliet. She does not speak, and her eyes seem almost glazed over.

>What do you do?

(Oh but of course, your E-Handbooks! I really must add it to the OP. Oh, and have the Courtroom Map too.. http://pastebin.com/pYh4s2iW)

I understand hanging out with Juliet for actual story reasons but we should try chilling with other people in our free time. I kind of wanted to get to know Cassandra or Cameron, personally

You decide to deliver a heartfelt and inspiring speech to lift her spirits. "Commander, I know that times are harsh right now, but when things are tough, you have to get even tougher! On my first day here, I met a courageous and cunning woman who wasn't afraid to take charge and lead this unit through thick and thin! No matter what happens, to any of us, you will always be that woman. And you'll always be my Commander. So snap out of it!"

Your words seem to reach her, and the gaunt look on her face fades. You can see the light in her eyes begin to shine again. She gives you a smile brimming with confidence and reliability. It makes you feel like together you could take on the world! "Right you are, Lt. Lineman! We shouldn't sit here and just lower our morale, we should take action! Monokuma came by earlier and told everyone that the stairs to the second floor would be open now, because there was a class trial. We should perform a tactical sweep of the area! You go ahead to do some recon, and I'll stay here and rally the troops to action. We'll rendezvous with you on the second floor. Dismissed!"

She turns to the other students and begins an inspiring speech, but you've got no time to listen to it. You've got to get to that second floor! You over to the corridor between the Gym and Reception areas, finding that the grille in front of the staircase has indeed lifted. You ascend the staircase and scope out the second floor. It seems to consist of one long corridor leading from one staircase to another, with several rooms along the side of the corridor.

You proceed while giving a rousing soliloquy of such quality that if you had an audience, they'd have been moved to tears by now. But alas, you have no such audience. Regardless, you open the door to the first room on this second floor, and find... Okay wow, that is a lot of paintings. But in addition to the paintings lining the walls of this room, there are tons of sculptures scattered about. They're constructed from all kinds of materials, from metal to wood to stone to plastic. They all look rather nice, but you're an artist of the stage, not of the craft, so you don't know how good they actually are. There is a plaque that says "Art Room" on the inside of the door. Well, that makes a modicum of sense. Now where to go next?

You leap out of the door and head over to the room across the hall from this one! You rush to it at breakneck speed! Oh wait, that's a wall. You manage to slow your speed before your hit it and pivot on your heel, turning to face the next door along the corridor. You head in. Inside is a wealth of shelves, shelves here, shelves there, shelves everywhere. And on those shelves, there are books. So many books that it makes your head spin. This is clearly the library. There's a battered old laptop on a desk in a corner, and also a door to the side labelled "Archive."

You dramatically reach your hand out towards the laptop and grab it, sweeping your arm back towards your body. You take the laptop, storing it in your handy dandy backpack for later. It's a good thing you have this for storing critical items of a certain size. You proceed to check out the archive, as there might be some handy files in there. You pull on the door handle, only to find it locked. Drat! But it's probably time you had a talk with a certain someone about this laptop and that archive. You clap your hands twice and call out to the heavens in your best stage voice. "Monokuma! I call for you! Attend to me this instant!"

And just like that, from behind a potted plant over on the other side of the room, a black and white shape leaps out. Monokuma soars into the air like a graceful diver, flies past you, and collides feet first into the wall behind you. As you whip your head around to watch, Monokuma kicks off the wall, somersaults in the air three times, and lands on your shoulder, his hand wrapped around your head for support. "You called, Zach? And I gotta say, that was a pretty rousing performance? Did you take a line from one of your plays?"

"Yeah, pretty much. Now anyway, do you mind if I take this laptop? And what's the deal with the archive? Why's it locked?"

"Well there's a very simple answer to that, Zach. First off, what's mine is yours! Mi casa su casa and all that! As for the archive, I'm not actually the one who locked it. The key should be somewhere in the school but I haven't found it yet. You guys find the key, the Archive's all yours. Did you want anything else?"

"I just want some stage props. I've been getting homesick from being cooped up in here with no theatrical productions! I'm pining for the stage, Monokuma! C'mon, a friend in need is a friend indeed, right? Help a pal out!"

Monokuma strokes his chin several times before jumping off your shoulder, twisting midair so that he lands facing you. "Well I dunno about Props, Zach... But if you wanna get out of here you can always just kill someone! Ya just gotta do it sneaky so that no one discovers ya!"

You sigh. "You're no help at all, you know."

"Oh I know, but that's what makes me so fun!"

"Well I don't think I have anything else to ask... Unless... Say, Monokuma, could you let me host a play with everyone? You could use a little entertainment, right? What better that a theatrical production?"

Monokuma seems to ponder this for a while. He gives several deep sighs. "Well... Okay! You can use the Gym! It's got an A/V system set up and everything. There's wood and stuff in the art room if you wanna make a stage. Just make it an interesting show!"

Monokuma bounces away, disappearing behind the pot plant. So, what should you do? Head back down to the ground floor to tell everyone about the play, or keep exploring the first floor?

At least one more room then. You take a left in the corridor and walk along until you find two door, one to the left, and one to the right. You try the left door, but it's locked tight. Shrugging, you turn to the right door and open it, revealing sparkling blue water. It seems that this room is a large indoor pool. The pool is huge, with depth markers on the tiles next to the different sections. It looks like there's also a pair of changing rooms at the back. All in all, a pretty neat find. But as you're exiting the area, you hear a squeal of joy. You look up to see Georgina rushing over to you. "Zach!"

She tackles you and grabs on to your waist. Thankfully, her diminutive size means she doesn't weigh much, so it doesn't knock you over. "I bet you've found a lot of nice things up here! How is it?"

"Well I found an art room and a library and a pool... There's an archive, but it's locked... Oh, and I managed to snag a la-"

"Oh wow, an art room? Were there any wood sculptures there?"

"Yeah, a couple. Why?"

"My talent is Carpentry, so it's usually just assembling wood into practical stuff. I really admire the people who can shape wood into art! It's nice to make useful stuff to help people, but art can also make people happy, so it's useful too! I'd love to look!"

You then remember what Monokuma told you. "Oh yeah, before you look around the art room, I've got something to tell you."

"What?"

You puff up your chest dramatically. "Monokuma has allowed me to organize a play! It's just the thing we need to lift our spirits! The Gym has an AV system, I brought a lot of costumes in my luggage here, and Monokuma said the art room has plenty of spare wood for stage building! So we can put on a suitable performance!"

"Oh wow, that's awesome! And you said that the art room has spare wood too? That's even better! I'll get Steven to help me carry the wood and down to the Gym, so I build the stage there! I'll show you guys some Omega Carpentry!"

You head back into the pool area and check out the changing rooms. There are scanners set up for the male and female change rooms that say "PLACE E-HANDBOOK ON SCANNER". You test out your E-Handbook out on both scanners. You get a green light and a "ding!" sound effect on the male one, and a red light coupled with a "bzzzt" sound effect on the female one. You step into the male change room and look around. It's filled with lockers, exercise equipment, and some showers. Pretty well equipped. You're sure Eddie will be happy about the exercise equipment at least. You leave the change rooms and venture back into the corridor. At this point, you hear voices, and turn the corner to see everyone gathered around the entrance to the art room.Steven and Georgina are hauling out planks of wood while the others watch. You approach the group.

Juliet salutes you, and you salute back. "Lt. Lineman, I hear you have acquired permission from Monokuma to perform a play! This is excellent news! It will be good for morale. Georgina filled me in on the rooms on this floor, and I double checked everything to make sure. Do you have anything else to report?"

You describe the changing rooms to her, and she makes a number of small swift strokes with her pen on a piece of paper she produces from her uniform. "Alright Mr. Lineman, here's a marked map of the first floor. I already checked the remaining rooms on this floor, so with that last piece of data, the map is complete."

You remember there's actually one other thing you haven't reported. "I managed to procure a laptop from the Library, Commander. I haven't tested it yet, but it's in my backpack."

Juliet perks up at this. "Excellent work, Lineman. When you get the time, please perform a full check of the laptop. This is a task of possibly vital importance, and I entrust it to you. Good luck."

"Understood."

You give a sharp salute and Juliet walks off. Just now, you realize that while you can improvise with the best of them, your fellow students will need a script for this performance, and you didn't bring your collection of various works with you directly! It was supposed to have been mailed to you. You instead selected to carry your sizable wardrobe of costumes. But still, this leaves you in a pickle. You head down to the Dorm, grab a pen and a piece of paper, and prepare to write the script for the play.

>(Making me research a real life play for this)
(You guys are awesome.)

You decide to recall from memory the details of Cyrano De Bergerac, a play you have oft enjoyed. You get to work recreating the script line for line, with a few minor alterations that can be found in any adaption. As your pen skates across the surface of the paper, it occurs to you that you must decide who shall play which role. Most of the roles are simple matters, but there are the three most major characters to consider. You of course shall play the titular Cyrano. But who shall play Roxane, who Cyrano wishes to woo, and who shall play Christian, who is also in love with Roxane?
>>

Of course! Our cultured mother was an A-list movie star who traveled the world. Often brought us along. We picked up the language quite easily since we craved the spotlight like her.
