>You are a Jedi Master at a time when the galaxy is in turmoil
>For nearly a thousand years now the Jedi and the Sith have been fighting each other in what has become known as The New Sith Wars
>Like many other Jedi of your stature, you have become increasingly frustrated with the Galactic Senate and the Jedi High Council’s inability to do anything to stop the Sith Lords
>So you took it upon yourself to do something about all of this
>Gathering together a small army of like minded people, including several other Jedi Knights, you launched your own personal crusade against the Sith Empire
>Luckily for you, the Sith Empire seems to be rather fractured at this point, so you’ve ended up being quite successful
>You managed to pierce deep within the Outer Rim where you have liberated the world of Telos IV
>However, your crusade seems to have ground to a halt here, and the people of this world now look to you for protection and guidance
>They are grateful to you for all you have done and want you to lead them in this dark time
>And thus, you have become a JEDI LORD
>Now, what will you do…?

But First, let’s decide just who you are.

Name: (Inset Star Wars-ey name here)

You are Kraton Reed, known to others as either Master Reed, General Reed, or more recently Lord Reed.

As a Zabrak, you have been naturally blessed with a stronger and more resilient body than most. Over the course of your Jedi Training you have learned to master art of wielding dual Guard Shoto lightsabers. A unique variation of the Jar Kai fighting style that not many opponents are used to dealing with.

Currently, Lord Reed controls the following territory after having liberated it from the Sith Lords

Telos IV
Region: Outer Rim
Sector: Kwymar Sector
Climate: Temperate
Population: Several Hundred Million
Capital: Citadel Station, a massive sprawling city that hovers above the planet
Notable Quirks: A very beautiful and rural world for the most part, with many untapped natural resources.
Current Status: Recovering after having been liberated from the Sith Empire by your forces. The people of Telos IV are extremely grateful to you, but many are worried about the future and aren’t sure what to do now.

Telos IV is a prosperous world renowned for it’s beautiful landscape and it’s significant role in past wars between the Jedi and the Sith.

Currently Lord Reed commands the following armed forces

Armies
+ 6 full fledged Jedi Knights who have joined you in your crusade against the Sith
+ 1 small army made up of ex-Republic soldiers and various volunteer combatants from all walks of life (Currently Recovering after liberating Telos IV)
+ Telos Security Forces (TSF), essentially a planetary police force that’s more suited to fighting pirates and gangsters rather than professional militaries

Fleets
+ 1 small space fleet consisting mainly of Hammerhead-class Cruisers and large complements of Aurek Starfighters (Currently recovering after liberating Telos IV)
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hammerhead-class_cruiser
+ Several squadrons of TSF Starfighters

With the world of Telos IV under his control and the following armed forces at his command, what will Lord Reed now do?

(3/3)
>>
>>174024
Have scouts check the surrounding systems for any enemy fleets looking to launch a surprise attack whilst our guard is down and we are recovering.

Also send a couple of Jedi into the populous to both recruit volunteers to help with the fighting, even if it is in a support capacity and find children suitable for Jedi training (assuming that is something we can manage)
>>
>>174024
I assume you're doing this without or prompts?
I'd like more details on our fleet. How many cruisers and Starfighters do we have in exact numbers? How large or small is our army of Republic turncloaks in numbers? What is our relationship with the 6 Jedi Knights that joined our crusade. How does the Republic view our Crusade and do we know if they or the Council intends to do something to stop us? Do we know which star systems nearby that the Sith Empire controls?
>>
>>174035
You send several scouting parties into the surrounding systems.

You immediately discover that the systems to the East and South belong to a Sith Warlord named Lord Ramana while the worlds to the West and North belong to a Sith Warlord known as Countess Dalca.
The closest planet belonging to Lord Ramana is the frigid world of Mirial to the East of Telos IV, while the closest world belonging to Countess Dalca is the forested planet of Serenno to the west of Telos IV.

You immediately discover that the world of Telos IV belonged to this Lord Ramana, though you do not currently find evidence that she is preparing to mount any attacks at this time.

Your men begin a recruiting drive, and it seems that you have many eager volunteers amongst the local populace. They will require some training before and arming before they will be capable soldiers, but the process of forming them into your Crusading army has begun.

I will require a roll of 1d100 to see if you are able to find any Force Sensitive children at this time.

>>174043

I am doing this largely without prompts.

Sorry if things are a bit obscure at the moment

I'm trying to avoid hard numbers on the size of our forces for the most part, but at this time we command a moderately small army.

Our fleet commands roughly a few dozen Cruisers, which in turn carry a full complement of star fighters each. At this time, the whole fleet is a bit exhausted though and will take some time to recover.

Our army is in a similar situation. We have enough soldiers to adequately garrison and defend the world we currently control but it is also reeling from the recent battle.

The six Jedi Knights are warriors who are generally loyal to you and felt strongly about fighting the Sith as you did. That being said, their loyalty to you is NOT absolute.

You are largely unaware what the Republic or the Council thinks of you exactly at the moment. They mostly have much bigger concerns at this time than you.

Your knowledge of the local sectors surrounding you is largely incomplete. All that you are really aware of is that the surrounding systems belong to Sith Lords of the Sith Empire. Further investigation is required.

Your Jedi Knight followers begin searching amongst the planet. After a few weeks one of them manage to discover an adolescent Human boy from a poor family living on Citadel Station.

The boy is roughly 13 years old and is named Arnet Yar. He is in awe of the Jedi who have discovered him and he appears to be somewhat sensitive to the Force.

Neither you nor any of your Jedi Knight followers have an apprentice at this time.

Also, your forces continue to recruit amongst the populace as your veteran soldiers begin to offer training as best they can. There is currently no shortage of volunteers, though armament is still an issue.

A few days pass when something very unexpected happens. Lord Reed is in the middle of surveying his forces as they gather in a military camp in the wilderness when several shuttles from Citadel Station land in the distance. A Rodian emissary greets you and claims to be a representative of His Greatness, Bwuno the Hutt. The shuttles are filled with silk tapestries, spice, jewels and other extravagant treasures. The emissary says that these are all gifts from the Hutt Lord, who congratulates Lord Reed on having taken Telos IV. The Rodian also adds that Lord Reed is welcome to visit the Hutt at his residence on Citadel Station whenever he pleases, especially if his visit involves matters of state.

Lord Reed graciously accepts the gifts from Bwuno the Hutt, having them put aside for now by his own personal quarters at the center of the War Camp. Before the emissary leaves, Reed has a small amount of the spoils taken from the Sith gathered together, mostly luxury goods similar to what Bwuno had delivered, and sends them off with the emissary as a gift to the Hutt.

Soon after the emissary leaves, Lord Reed contacts the TSF for information on this mysterious Bwuno the Hutt.

According to the planetary security forces, Bwuno is one of most respected and feared figures on the planet, or at the very least Citadel Station. He was known to have dealt largely in gambling rackets tied with the local Swoop Bike racing circuit, but the TSF also reports that he dealt in arms trafficking, slavery, and the Ryll Spice trade as well as other activities.

The TSF are quick to point out that all such activities were tolerated under the previous Sith regime.

They are indeed Hammerhead class cruisers, and If you check the article on Wookieepedia it says this about the ship’s stats

>"During the New Sith Wars, the class remained in service. During that war, they each held a squadron of Aurek-class tactical strikefighters and had undergone radical upgrades and design revisions since their debut thousands of years before.[5]"

Given that, I’m imagining that the stats for the Hammerheads Reed currently commands are a good deal better than what is shown in your image. Medium Turbolaser cannons are actually Heavy Turbolaser Cannons, troop and starfighter complements are marginally higher than what is listed, etc.

Lord Reed's fleet roughly consists of dozens of these cruisers
>>
>>182981
>>183001
Although you have little love for this crime lord, you feel that your hold over Telos IV isn’t quite secure enough that you can just remove him quite yet. So for now you tolerate his presence on Telos IV, and consider even seeing if he might prove useful at a later date.

>>183001
>>183020
Your military advisers approach you with a status report on your army and naval fleet

With the steady influx of volunteers from the grateful populace of Telos IV, your numbers has slowly begun to swell. In a short amount of time, you’ll be able to boast as many trained soldiers as you had when you initially began this crusade of yours.

Armament is something of an issue, but you’ve been able to solve that problem in the short term by appropriating leftover Sith military equipment as well as some arms and armor from the TSF. The naval fleet is another problem entirely.

While nearly all of your Cruisers and Starfighters are fully operational at this point, you simply lack the means to replace what you have completely lost. Telos IV lacks the infrastructure to construct additional cruisers, and thus you won't be able to replace any of the ones you've lost.

>>183034
Telos IV’s major commodity export is foodstuffs and various crops while it’s primary import is various luxury goods.

However, it is important to note that the Galactic Economy is largely in shambles due to the centuries of warfare the galaxy has suffered. Many worlds outside of the Core Worlds have been forced to survive on what little they could scrounge up in their own systems
>The TSF will need to conduct monitoring of offworlders and other sorts.

At Lord Reed's command, the TSF begin monitoring the planet for any signs of sedition.

A careful amount of investigation follows before they manage to discover something big. After launching a daring raid, the TSF kill and capture several men and women who had been posing as bounty hunters.

Evidence indicates that these people had close ties to the old Sith regime, and a sweep of their ships reveals that they possessed a number of high grade explosives.

Efforts to fortify the planet against a Sith counterattack are underway, but progress is quite slow.

The Sith themselves had constructed a few modest military forts throughout the planet. They were heavily damaged by your forces when you liberated the world, but you've now begun to rebuild and repurpose them for your own forces.

As your men begin to rebuild these forts, a military engineer approaches you with a promising idea. He believes that if they were to build a planetary sized Ion Cannon at one of these forts, then your forces could have a considerable edge in defending the world. However, he admits that such a project would take a long time, and combined with your other engineering efforts it would essentially commit all that you have. At least until you have finished replenishing your armed forces which SHOULD be soon.

>How does Lord Reed deal with these dissidents?

>Does Lord Reed wish to begin constructing a planetary Ion Cannon?

>Is there anything else he would like to attempt at this time?
>>
>>185477
>>How does Lord Reed deal with these dissidents?
After a thorough investigation and interrogation (or as thorough as our situation allows anyway), give them a trial and throw them in jail/execute/whatever the local laws allow us.

Or just kill them if the legal system is too fucked to bother with it all.

>>Does Lord Reed wish to begin constructing a planetary Ion Cannon?
No, commiting all we have to one building doesn't sound very wise. For now, keep those engineers focused on more basic things like forting up and keeping our space assets functional.

>>Is there anything else he would like to attempt at this time?
Make sure all the ex-sith assets are salvaged and accounted for.

Also, what kind of equipment can we produce locally? What from I understand, we can't make real spaceships, but army gear, some spare parts and starfighters are alright?
Is there anyone who can sell us the more complex equipment?
>>
>>185477
>How does Lord Reed deal with these dissidents?
We interrogate them. No torture, we're not a Sith, and using the force to inflict pain leads to the dark side. We will find a proper punishment once we get to the truth of this. Incarceration is most likely.

>Does Lord Reed wish to begin constructing a planetary Ion Cannon?
Our position is currently too tenous to put all our eggs in one basket. On the other hand, an obvious target will allow us to set a trap for an enemy infiltrators...

Based PURELY on that, yes. Do it.

>Is there anything else he would like to attempt at this time?

The dissidents are thoroughly questioned, and through a mixture of police interrogation and a little help from the Force, it is discovered that they were in fact Sith Loyalists acting on behalf of Lord Ramana, the Sith warlord who appears to control the sectors to the south and east of Telos IV.

They are offered the opportunity to turn away from the Sith and join your forces, but most of them refuse outright. Some of them appear fanatical in their loyalty to the Sith Empire, whereas you can clearly sense that several of them personally fear Ramana too much to defect at this time.

The dissidents are given a fairly short trial in which their guilt is confirmed. Their fate is largely within your own hands, and in the end you decide to have them incarcerated indefinitely for their crimes. The populace seems to approve, as support for Lord Reed and his Jedi Knights continues to grow stronger.

As for the Ion Cannon, the proposal is shelved for now as the prospect of having all resources committed is too risky.

After dealing with these matters, Lord Reed looks into securing the rest of the leftover Sith military hardware. It is a fairly routine process, as it only takes a short amount of time for a stockpile of weapons and supplies to be put together.

>What from I understand, we can't make real spaceships, but army gear, some spare parts and starfighters are alright?

That is largely correct. Starfighters are fairly easy to construct, as even the TSF boasts a number of squadrons. Thanks to recent efforts, Keeping your ground forces adequately supplied isn't too much of an issue either at this time.

>Is there anyone who can sell us the more complex equipment?

You are aware of Bwuno the Hutt's history with arms trafficking, and he would be the easiest to get in contact with. Your isolated position in the galaxy makes it challenging to contact anyone else, aside from elements of the Sith Empire of course. That being said, you could feasibly send diplomats to anywhere in the Galaxy...

>What does Lord Reed do at this time?
>>
So our current objectives are to improve local support on Telos and fortify the place.
Then the development of our crusading army and fucking up the local Sith with it.

>>185533
>>What does Lord Reed do at this time?
Seek out allies nearby and send some diplomats over to have a talk with them.
Anyone close enough to be helpful who is also opposed to the Sith should probably be contacted.

Also, send out scouts and spies towards Ramana and Dalca. While I don't think we can just knock any of them over, maybe we can find some weaknesses. Look for supplies we can raid, dissatisfied servants we can convert to our side or just general fuckups we can capitalize on.

Also, we will want a Jedi temple set up. Either in some sort of force nexus or inside of the Sith forts because the place needs to be fortified one way or another.
Since we have so few actual Jedi in here, there is no need to put any serious amount of resources into this.

Finally, make sure our armed forces are always training.

Lord Reed personally sees to it that his soldiers are constantly drilled and kept in top shape. While the influx of new recruits has slowed recently, the men you do command are becoming better every day. The veterans and the green are becoming hard to distinguish.

At this time your ground armies have almost completely recovered from your initial losses, while your naval fleet is fully operational albeit moderately smaller than it once was.

I will handle the other actions in a bit, but first I just wanted to state that you're welcome to assign any of the Jedi under your command to oversee certain tasks, and I will often grant bonuses to such actions if that is the case. If you all would like, you could send out any of your Knights or your one Padawan to oversee a diplomatic mission or a spy mission or generally anything. You could even send Lord Reed out to undertake certain tasks himself if you so desire. There is a risk involved, and such forces may be pre-disposed for a time, but your chances of success could rise by a great amount.
>>
>>186207
We apparently have 6 jedi knights, so I would say 1 is in charge of setting up the temple and processing force sensitive recruits.

2 should deal with information gathering.

I'll second this. Although I'll add on that the two assigned to information gathering should focus their efforts on Mirial. We should focus our efforts on crushing Lord Ramana, since we probably want to avoid overly pissing off Countess Dalca. I'd bet that so long as we don't stomp on her playground she'll leave us be since we're fighting her presumed rival.

You decide to send several of the Knights under your command to oversee important missions.

You assign Lo Rai, a studious Arkanian Jedi who once worked in the Jedi Archives, the task of constructing a small temple that can train new initiates in the ways of the Force.

You then assign Jaina Charr, an unconventional Jedi Knight from Correllia, and Trask, a Trandoshan Jedi with renowned survivalist skills, to spy on Lord Ramana's territory. After a thorough debriefing, the two Jedi Knights set out for the planet Mirial, the closest world to Telos IV that lies within Ramana’s control. You expect to hear back from them fairly soon.

You briefly consider sending out two more of your Knights on diplomatic missions, but eventually decide against it. Given how deep you are within the Sith Empire, you do not want to risk sending them out just yet. For now you decide to keep the two knights you would have sent out here on Telos IV along with Kota Vam and his padawan apprentice Arnet Yar. These four jedi will continue to assist Lord Reed with the day to day affairs of running and defending the world.

Not long afterwards, you hear back from Lo Rai, who says he has made an incredible discovery. While poring over his data pads, he discovered that at one point in the distant past Telos IV actually boasted a Jedi Temple of its own. He has already begun to scour the planet with the assistance of some of your men to find the ruins of said temple so that it can be reclaimed.

One other stroke of good news is also reported. With the repairs to the fleet finished, more resources are now being allocated to the rebuilding of the Sith Forts. Progress on the fortifications is now speeding up.

A TSF starfighter is essentially an older model of an Aurek Starfighter that has received some special modifications. It is slightly slower, not as maneuverable, and carries less firepower compared to the Aureks you brought in your fleet, but only marginally so.

TSF starfighters do however, have the ability to fire Ion lasers out of their blaster cannons for the purpose of disabling rather than destroying ships, and they also carry extremely powerful fire extinguishers for appropriate emergency situations.

They are also distinguishable by their blue and chrome color schemes.

Can we bring them up back to stock specs? Say ditch the fire extinguishers and retune engines or whatever the Star Wars equivalent is.
>>
>>187963
Why would we do that? Better fire extinguishers should be standard.
>>
>>187929
>>187947
Whoa shit

Best of two is still in effect which means...
>115

Will write that up in a few moments!

Also, the +20 to your roll effectively comes from you having sent Two Jedi to work together on the same task. That you sent them specifically to investigate Mirial also had an effect on your roll.

>>187963
Upgrading the TSF's star fighters to modern day military standards is something you can choose to do. Ditching the fire extinguishers and getting rid of the Ion Cannons would essentially make them less effective at their civic roles, but it would make them a stronger paramilitary force.
>>
>>187980
Ah, I took that as they also worked as the flying fire trucks that were in one of the prequels, not having improved on board fire suppression systems. My bad.
>>
>>187984
Ok could we convert say 3/4 of them?
Also is what I said in >>188002 right? Or was I right the first time?
>>
>>188002
Actually that was exactly what I meant.

The TSF star fighters also serve as auxiliary firefighting tools in times of emergency.

>>188008
>Ok could we convert say 3/4 of them?

That is definitely something that can be done. It wouldn't necessarily take very long, considering the TSF only boasts several squadrons of star fighters compared to the hundreds you boast in your personal fleet.
>>
>>188018
You know what? Starfighters carrying water, a fixed load around, is frankly an excessive use for security force. We should work with either speeders with foam or upgrade our public water infrastructure on the ground. If we need to use starfighters to fight fires we can switch to fuel air bombs instead.
>>
>>188018
Okay since that is the case could we configure them to atmospheric combat in case any safe ships get past the fleet and down to the planet?
Would that even give them a noticeable benefit?
I am not very well versed in Star Wars lore so I'm sorry if this sounds stupid.
>>
>>188045
Ah good old voice to text.
Well it's still semi understandable.
>>
>>188051
Whatever works.
I'm thinking our first and second priorities should be sizing up our enemies' military force and trying to reach a size enough for a deterrent. We still are under their guns, so to speak.
>>
>>188072
That's definitely true, and our first bit of Intel should be coming in the next story next post.

The TSF star fighters are already configured for atmospheric combat as well as space combat.

If you would like to reconfigure them so that they can serve better in a military capacity then that is something that can be done. It may lead to them being a detriment at other tasks, but it would definitely make them more useful in say a battle with another military force.

Essentially, you could choose to mold the TSF's fighters into a better military unit at the cost of them being less effective as a Police/Civic unit.

>>188082
And that bit of intel is coming up in just a minute!

>Overwhelming Success

Nearly two weeks passes by as you wait for word from Jaina and Trask. A few of your fellow knights were beginning to fear the worst when suddenly a small Sith Corvette jumps out of Hyperspace just outside of Telos IV’s orbit.

Swarms of Aurek star fighters from your personal fleet and from the TSF surround the Sith warship, only for a quick transmission to reveal that the pilots are none other than your two Jedi spies!

Jaina and Trask park the ship down on Telos IV’s surface just outside one of your forts that is still under construction. They greet you warmly as they step off of the corvette… and promptly reveal that their stolen ship is loaded with several hundred refugees from Mirial

(1/3)
>>
>>188106
That's what I'm going with, a couple squadrons is not going to make a difference with the odds we could be up against, we need to find a way to expand the Fleet ASAP
>>

After sitting down with the two returning knights, they quickly inform you of all that they had learned.

They say that they touched down on the frigid desert world of Mirial and quickly discovered that while the planet is ruled over by Lord Ramana, direct governance is handled by a Sith subservient to her. A vicious Feeorin named Lord Verus who has ruled the world for over a century now. The local Mirialian people fear him greatly, as he has mercilessly crushed any attempts to resist his authority.

The planet itself is in an arguably much worse state than Telos IV, with famine being a huge problem throughout much of the world’s cities. The Mirilian people, who traditionally practiced a primitive religious worship of the Force, nowadays tend to hide any of their own who exhibit Force Sensitivity out of fear that the Sith will claim them as their own.

(2/3)
>>
>>188137
Could that mean that we just got a ship full of force sensitives.......

>>
>>188181
No, I merely wait to see what it gives and takes, like always. I just express doubt that that many sensitives could live in any normal sentient population, and could be gathered by our knights.

After surviving in the wilderness for a time, Jaina came up with the idea of using the Sith’s tactics against them. She and Trask masqueraded as Bounty Hunters in order to infiltrate Lord Verus’ fortress, where they discovered much about Lord Verus himself, and even a little bit about Lord Ramana.

Lord Ramana herself is said to have only risen to her station roughly a few years ago after slaying her own master. She is rumored to be one of the Sith Empire’s greatest duelists, being especially proficient in the ‘Sith’ Lightsaber style of Form VII Juyo. Aside from that, she is said to be a Togruta just like your fellow Knight Kota Vam.

After uncovering this, the two Jedi then went on to investigate Verus’ personal forces. Verus commands a fleet and an army just over twice the size of Lord Reed’s, and it appears he is slowly and subtly mobilizing it.

Strangely enough, he is being so secretive about this that no one besides him and his personal circle is even aware of his movements, meaning he is apparently acting on his own.

It wasn’t long after this that Jaina and Trask’s cover was blown and they were forced to beat a hasty retreat. It was also around this time that they ascertained that Lord Verus has at least seven other Sith at his command. Despite being sorely outnumbered, the two Jedi were able to escape after causing a riot within Verus’ own dungeon. From there, the two managed to storm his hanger, kill one of Verus’ seven Sith followers, and abscond with a corvette and a number of prisoners fresh out of Verus’ dungeon

By the time the two Jedi have finished their story, your fellow Knights are floored by all that Jaina and Trask has related to them, but you can also sense that they are disturbed by some of the news as well. Kota Vam in particular is quick to state that if Lord Verus is mobilizing his fleet, then we are more than likely his target.

>What does Lord Reed do at this time?

(3/3)
>>
>>188201
It's definitely doubtful for all of them to be sensitive, but I'm hoping for maybe 30 or 40 of them to be.
>>
>>188214
Put the new people to work, as what they were before hand. Force sensitives and Engineers/Architects get priority, yeah? Reassure them that Verus will never touch them again.
>>
>>188214
Shit. Okay, we need to cause trouble for this man.
Start conscription and training on fighting-age sentients on Telos IV. Established military units are to train untrained units. Train only as much as can be done in the projected timeframe.

Send word to the council and request reinforcements as soon as possible.

Speaking of timeframe, is there any way to get that Ion Cannon operational soon?
>>
>>188214
Most likely bet is to have a counter attack before Lord Verus is able to hit us, make ourselves into bait with the planet by forting up with the bare min of men to staff things while our fleet and ground troops amass on softer targets of this Sith Lord so as to Liberate the populace, inspire them to take arms and come up behind his fleet to take him out.

If anyone has other ideas I'm open to it.
>>
>>188214
First have someone screen the rescued prisoners, find out what they're good at and put them to work . If there are any force sensitives pull them aside for training.
Then find a way to expand the fleet , how many credits do we have?
do we know anyone that is able to find ships to purchase? How is the rebuilding of the sith forts going? Has anyone discovered the Jedi Temple yet, is anybody looking for it?

I'm afraid that I have no distinct model from any canon, but I will state that the Sith Corvette is very much like the vessel in this picture.

It is roughly the size of a Hammerhead Class Cruiser, though noticeably longer. Being a Corvette, it is outfitted with many small turbo laser batteries which make the ship particularly well suited for fighting against craft smaller than itself, especially starfighters.

>>188131
Your men are quick to take the ship as their own, giving it a new paint job of red and white, similar to the colors of the Republic military, while boldly emblazoning it with the emblem of the Jedi Order.

>Would you like to name this Sith Corvette?

Also, the two Jedi are personally commended by Lord Reed. They both say that they are very happy to finally be able to take the battle directly against the Sith and thank Lord Reed for giving them an opportunity to fight.

Neither of them have Padawans yet.

The Mirialian refugees look upon Lord Reed and the Jedi who rescued them as their saviors.

Most of these refugees appear to have been political dissidents, or the close friends and families of political dissidents. A small handful are engineers/architects of sorts that would be willing to help anyway they can, and a fair amount of them are also warriors who are more than eager to fight under Lord Reed's command.

When Lord Reed and his fellow Knights begin to search amongst the refugees for any potential Force Sensitives, they quickly make a startling discovery

The rumors of Lord Verus snatching Force Sensitives away from their families has proven to be very true, and it appears that during the riot that Jaina and Trask started many of said Force Sensitives found their way onto their escape vessel.

After an astonishing hour or so, Kraton Reed now stands before a small crowd of Force Sensitives that were picked amongst the crowd

>Lord Reed has acquired 30 Force Sensitive Mirialians, most of which are children from the ages of 6-18, with a handful being even older

>>
>>188397
Also how does the high Council feel about this little escapade, are they willing to send resources, men, ships or credits? Or do they not support this.
That would be a real bummer.
>>
>>188430
If we're not supported then we'd better run. Take all we could fit onto the ship and jump for a different planet with a promise to one day be back.
>>
>>188441
Nigga naw. That'd take too much time and we've sunk too much into this to simply run now. Besides, why WOULDN'T they support this? It's free publicity to deface the sith, with us as a rallying point.
>>
>>188458
Considering we're set in or near the great hyperspace war, I don't think the sith have any more of an image to ruin.

On the first part, I just don't see favorable odds winning a 2:1 fight and especially later if the othe r lords feel opportunistic.
>>
>>188483
This, if we don't bolster the fleet now or get support we might need to turn tail and build up our forces before we can go for to toe with the sith. Or we launch a surprise attack now and strike before their forces are completely mobilized.
>>
>>188483
Well why are you so nervous they'd come anyway? It seems the knights got away pretty quickly and stealthily. And we've got planetary defenses coming along. If all goes well we'll have back up and be a force to be reckoned with.

That being said, Swag, do we have any updates on planet fortifications?

At this time, no. Telos IV lacks the infrastructure to construct additional warships aside from Starfighters and shuttles and other various small craft, and you currently have no one to purchase new warships from.
>>188409
>>188411
>Begin training

It is traditionally against Jedi customs for a Jedi to take more than one padawan at a time. However, there have been precedents of Jedi taking more than one in times of great crisis or at times in which the Jedi Order was recovering from a great catastrophe. It is also common for initiates to be trained in a communal setting for a time before a Master chooses a Padawan amongst them.

Knowing this...
>How does Lord Reed approach training these Force Sensitive recruits?

>>188421
A quick cursory search for resources in the system reveals that there is an asteroid belt that was once mined for fuel in past ages. There might still be valuable materials within the belt, but searching them out would be a considerable undertaking.

>>188411
>>188430
With this sudden stroke of great fortune, Lord Reed now considers appealing to the Jedi High Council for support.

Jaina is quick to volunteer to go before the Council herself and appeal for help, yet Trask is less enthusiastic. When asked why, Trask says he is nervousthat the Sith might attack Telos IV while him and Jaina are gone. He states that he realizes it is against the teachings of the Jedi to form attachments, but that he cares deeply for the people of Telos IV and the refugees he has helped rescue and does not wish to leave them behind at this time of uncertainty.

That being said, the Trandoshan states that he has the utmost faith in Lord Reed and will follow his orders regardless.

>Do you wish to send out either Jaina or Trask or both on a diplomatic mission to the Core Worlds to appeal for aid?

>>188483
This game is currently set during the New Sith Wars, roughly around the start of the Republic Dark Age.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Republic_Dark_Age

>>188513
>That being said, Swag, do we have any updates on planet fortifications?

The old Sith Forts that Lord Reed's forces initially had to fight their way through and conquer during the liberation of Telos IV are nearly fully repaired at this time. They safeguard places of strategic importance all across the planet, and any force that would want to claim the world would almost certainly have to go through them first.
>>
>>188535
Send jaina in the fastest ship in the fleet(the corvette?), express our dire situation, that if we do not receive support we will most likely die protecting the good people of this planet from the sith, who would most likely execute them all for rebelling against them.
>>
>>188535
Okay, the new recruits are to be trained in the basics of force kinesis, the basic ethos of the Jedi Code, as well as stealth training wherever possible. See, but do not be seen.
Jaina goes to the Core Worlds to drum up support. We will stay, in order to make sure order is kept.
If work on an Ion Cannon was started, it needs to be hurried.
Get basic life support equipment cached on the planets surface.
>>
>>188535

>>188292
>>
>>188535
Tell him that it's not THAT type of attachment you lewd fuck and have him stay here as a garrison with our trained soldiers. Tell him to use his emotions, but only righteously so, such as in the protection of these people.

Jaina shall present our case to the Republic, and tell them that we are in need of aid.

>>188573
Backing this one. Make sure they know not to turn into blank, emotionless slates. Really force ethos can be boiled down to "don't be a jackass".
>>

Trask embraces Lord Reed and gratefully thanks him for allowing him to stay. He says that he will not let his emotions lead him astray and that he will give everything to protect him and the innocent people they watch over.

Shortly after that, Jaina embarks upon the newly refitted Jedi Corvette, and leaves for the Core Worlds. Lord Reed and his fellow Knights say their farewells with a simple "May the Force be with you" as they see her off.

>If work on an Ion Cannon was started, it needs to be hurried.

Just as work on the ground fortifications is finished construction on a planetary Ion Cannon is started. It is uncertain at this time if it will be finished before any possible attack is made on the world, but your engineers are working around the clock to finish the weapon as fast as possible.

>>188573
>>188590
The very basics of the Force are imparted upon your new Force Initiates. Lord Reed decides to take a more moderate approach with training these new potential Jedi. Less emphasis is placed on suppression of emotions while still placing importance on the basic tenants of the Jedi Code.

>>188582
I am intentionally keeping the size of your forces rather vague.

You command a moderately sized fleet of several dozen Hammerhead Cruisers with complementary Aurek Starfighters. The TSF spaces forces are considerably smaller, with only several squadrons of star fighters at their disposal.

At this time, your ground forces slightly exceed what your fleet can fully transport. You command modestly size ground army, with the TSF providing you with a considerably smaller paramilitary force that can maintain order on the planet and partake in its defense

In the whirlwind of activity that follows after Jaina's departure, you nearly forget the absence of one of your very own.

It has been some time since you last spoke with Lo Rai. Last reports indicate that he was searching for the location of the forgotten Jedi Temple somewhere on Telos IV's northern pole.

Something about his continued absence makes you uneasy, forcing you to take a moment to meditate. After a short amount of time spent in reflection, you come to the conclusion that you have a bad feeling about this

>What does Lord Reed do in regards to this disturbance in the Force?

I'm happy to hear you've all been having fun!

>I suppose my only criticism is your vagueness about our Fleet size

I feel like the sense of scale can get a bit wonky in Star Wars, but if it's an issue I think I can come up with a bit more concrete numbers.

>How are we going to do combat?

Combat is mostly just going to be straight up 1d100 rolling, but depending on exactly what you try to do I may add bonuses or penalties to the roll. I will also take into consideration a number of other factors when determining whether or not the roll is a success or a failure.

You can also expect most combat scenarios to involve multiple rolls.

As long as we're on the subject, I like to imagine that Lord Reed himself is a pretty skilled combatant. Being a Zabrak, a species known for being physically strong and tough, and wielding a unique saber style of dual Shoto sabers, I can see him being a formidable foe. Should he himself enter combat, I may add bonuses to whatever rolls are made depending on what actions you all decide to take.

It can definitely get a little wonky with the amount of Fighters some of the big ships can hold, but I would like it to be a bit more in-depth because it might change our strategies in combat. Unless it's just going to be roll 1d100 and have a success or fail then it really wouldn't matter.

That's fair. Numbers should play some role in combat, but there are other factors you can take into consideration as well. Though most of the combat system will just be Rolling with a few twists here and there.

Even so, here is an updated list of Lord Reed's forces consist of at this time.

Army
-6 Jedi Knights (2 of which are currently absent), 1 Jedi Padawan, and thirty Force Initiates who have only just begun their training
-A moderate sized army made up of several hundred thousand soldiers composed mainly of ex Republic war veterans and trained volunteers equipped with Republic and salvaged Sith military hardware
-The Telos Security Force, or TSF, consisting of tens of thousands of paramilitary police

Fleet
-An advanced Corvette of dubious Sith origin. Very fast and well suited to fighting starfighters and other smaller sized vessels. (Currently absent)
-A small fleet of several dozen Hammerhead cruisers and many hundreds of Aurek Starfighters
-Over fifty TSF Aurek starfighters, most of which have been upgraded to emulate their military counterparts

Telos IV Defenses
-A series of Forts located throughout strategic points on the planet's surface
-A planetary surface-to-orbit Ion Cannon located within a Fort (Under Construction)

Alright, I'm about ready to start now.

Should I just continue on right where we left off or should I start a new thread?

Awesome, about the ships we could "find", I'm just thinking out loud but what if there was a remnants of a battle in the asteroid field you mentioned and say a EMP weapon was used so that all we had to do to get them operational was changed out the computers.
Now in ships that big it would taken a considerable amount of time and we would still have to Source the computers somehow but it still possible as we don't have any shipyards or a way to repair any heavy damage.

Eh, how many posts are we at, in clover so I can't tell.
>>
>>191912
Some how we are only at 170, we should be fine for a little bit.
>>
>>191931
That's a bit of a big 'IF' but if you took the time to investigate any areas where large scale battles happened in the past then it's certainly possible that you could find some ships that could be repaired. I imagine the repairs would take a great deal of time and that the ships would have to be modified a bit in order to meet modern standards.

We're at just over 170 posts, but we're on page 6 and appear to be auto saging so I dunno to be honest.
>>
>>191981
Ah, we are in autosage, how did I not notice that.
>>
>>191981
Yep it is, New thread time.

>>191981
Why did that happen so fast? The lowest bump limit I can think of off the top my head is 250.

Very well, I'll write it up in a bit

>>192026
I just glossed over the rules again. I had forgotten that threads perm sage after around 72 hours. Seems a bit strange on such a generally slow board but oh well.
>>
>>192043
Really, that needs to be changed .
well see ya in the new thread.

Agreed

Here's a link for anyone that might show up here!
