This is just a basic evo game, you have two base organisms and it's up to you to direct their growth!

Rules are pretty standard:
>Post a picture of a creature with a mutation edited in. Give a description.
>Don't add complicated features, progress slowly.
>Be creative.
>Don't modify something twice in a row, give other people a chance to contribute.
>Be realistic
>Have fun!

Biggus Dickus with flatter tails could propel themselves through the water better. Over time, they became more like flukes. Their heads have also become more streamlined to reduce drag.

Now they dart around blindly, often crashing into food. And even more often into not-food. Like rocks. It kind of hurts.

Looks like there's sort of an evogame explosion going on.

The Dark Biggus Dickus is in fact a massive herbivore. relative to other creatures. I imagine everything here so far is fairly small. From their size around 8 or 9 inches long on average. :^) , an adult specimen is rarely bothered by predators. Larvae and juveniles however are heavily preyed upon. Their color does help with this. They hide in the mud of the sea floor whenever they can smell a Pale Biggus Dickus (>>228969) nearby.

Now onto the actual edit. Around their head, they've developed additional scent receptors, which gives them a better idea of which direction a scent originates from.

While they don't have movement to potentially evade herbivores, Rooted Seaclovers have their own way of surviving: rapid reproduction. From their roots, additional Seaclovers will sprout, which in turn will release gametes (i.e. plant sperm. Pollen capsules don't really work underwater) to fertilize other Rooted Seaclovers and produce seeds.

These probably form the largest base of the food chain.

>>228969
Being the current apex predator, the Pale Biggus Dickus has little to no need for a poison defense. Over time, the trait has been lost. In turn, it gained something far more valuable. Along its back the tissue has become hardened. This is less of a defensive adaptation than it is for mobility. It gives a rigid structure for muscles to anchor onto and apply force upon.

It also irises. Muscles that limit the amount of light entering the eye.

In order to accomodate larger sizes, the Pale Biggus Dickus needs to fit more food. However, a wider mouth leads to more unwanted substances finding their way inside the Dickus. Dickus with more control over gas flow in their bodies begin to prosper, as they can filter rocks from their stomach better. This leads to a tube-like lump on their bodies. This is known as the Lumped Biggus Dickus.
>>
>>231786
Another species branches off from the Crawling Sphinctermaw. Their bristles thicken into claws as they move from a bottom feeding lifestyle to a more predatory one.
While smaller than the Pale Biggus Dickus, the Carnivorous Sphinctermaw can at times be more dangerous. They hide in rocky areas and spring onto their victims, and tearing at them with their clawed tentacles. Having no teeth or jaws, they use their claws to rip meat into nice bite-sized chunks.
Their more grayish color helps to hide them from both predator and prey.

Not related to any current creatures, but this is pretty cool. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Structural_coloration

>>
>>238619
True, although I'm the sort who likes to ride a thread down to the bottom of page 10 before starting a new one myself. So OP or somebody else will have to if they want it up sooner.
>>
>>238627
Right, I'm just saying that the death of the thread doesn't have to mean the death of the game.
>>
>>226141

Some blobs get their start on land near bodies of water, evolving a giant root rather than multiple smaller ones.
>>
>>235418
With some of their prey gaining defenses, two additional populations of Pale Biggus Dickus diverge.

One has more of its back and tail encased in exoskeleton. The sturdy fluke doesn't flop from water resistance like it did before, allowing for greater speed through the water. They also gain a new habit while hunting: strike from the front. While prey will be able to see them coming, >>236117 isn't as able to "pepperspray" this dickus.

The other branch simply expands its diet to include plant matter. To facilitate in this, they've picked up the odd habit of swallowing stones. In the stomach, these small stones grind up food. In time, these Biggus Dickus develop a fore-stomach mostly for this grinding tl;dr: They have gizzards. They so still eat meat, but more just when the opportunity presents itself. Their digestive spray weakens, and doesn't actually spray out any more.

True, unless it's something like organs which will have no visual change.

People just don't want others being lazy. If someone wants to participate but can't due to no access to any art editing program, such as posting from a phone, they should be allowed to post their idea in hopes that somebody else can draw it. The only problem there is that they will be dependent on others being willing to draw, and also getting somebody else's interpretation of the idea.
If somebody just won't draw since they think their results will look bad, they should be encouraged just to give it a shot anyway.

I thought I had some evogame-related "Consider the following" image to go with this. Seems that I don't. Instead, here are some dick creatures from an old game.

By the way, what should we call this game for in the archive?
>>
>>249546
Can we at least have a followup thread? This is easily my favorite evo, so far.
>>
>>250245
I'm not the OP, but I'd assume any of us could. Archiving this thread is my current concern, and a name is needed for that. If nobody comes up with a better name, I'll just corrupt the word or scramble the letters of "genitalia" into something that could sound like a planet name. Genilla? Gentalla? Tenaiagil? Tack on a number or letter to the end to denote how many planets away this world is from its sun(s)? Genita D? Ilgaietan II?
Some of this stuff coming out of the word scrambler ain't too bad.
