Welcome to the LAS Quest! This is a test run for the idea we had back in /ic/ - an rpg adventure heavily featuring drawing and worldbuilding from the players themselves. Basically there are two elements to the game:
1) Standard rpg where you resolve conflict situations by rolling a dice and drawing an action you want to perform (or a spell you want to cast/tech item you want to use, etc).
2) Worldbuilding - sometimes i'll ask to describe with a sketch what lands you discover when you go out of city, or what creatures lurk in those ruins, or what treasure should be in a chest. This way we'll start from a small kinda generic town and build the whole world around it as we go on adventures.

====
Rules

- I, as a QM will visit the thread every day at around 17:00 GMT and advance the story. So players have a whole day to make their move.
- In conflict situations (battle with monsters, evading the trap, convincing the guards of your innocence) you draw an action you want to take and make a 1d20 roll (20-sided dice, the command is in the /qst/ sticky) to determine its success. Cool drawings will add a bonus the the result (let's start with +7)
- Quality of the drawings does not matter at all. It's totally fine to use simplified figures/stick figures in action drawings as long as they are recognizable and have at least a bit of character in them. Explanatory text is also ok, but only if it's secondary to the drawing itself.
- It is implied that the players are always travelling together as a party of artists, so any individual player can pop in whenever he wants to, play, go afk for a while and then easily rejoin again. Of course consistent players will become stronger faster.
- We were thinking of Adventure Time as an example of the theme of the world - post-apocalyptic mix of fantasy and sci-fi, maximum creative freedom for players.
- You can ask any questions about the game either here on in a Discord group for this quest - https://discordapp.com/invite/SgrMtAH

Ah, LASotopia..the city of artists shaped and maintained with the power of Imagination, built in the world that survived a Grand Cataclysm that rendered entire civilizations obsolete. Now the world is slowly waking up from the long coma and surviving creatures start exploring the lands around them, completely changed by the Cataclysm.
LASotopia consists of 3 districts:
1) Cloud District - built on the top of the strange cloud that can be stepped on, this place contains a lot of animals - Cloud Sheep that are bred for food and companionship, Flying Lemurs that serve as a transport and there are dangerous monsters in the caves at the base of the cloud that are usually left alone.
2) Mal's Island - central district with the grand Submission Tower where the artists exchange the ideas and cool things they sketched while exploring the world. Hanging above the sea of hot lava with the force of Imagination. Airships and flying lemurs are used as a means of transport between other districts.
3) Santimountain - built at the base of the huge iron mountain - ancient ruin of the pre-Cataclysm megacity which go upwards above the clouds. This district contains lots of living quarters and famous clubs and taverns.
As far as an average citizen of LASotopia knows - the world around the city is completely unknown. And that is GREAT, since when artists explore unknown places and discover new things, their Imagination is refreshed and permanently increased. And it's Imagination that allows them to do wonderful and supernatural things - hurl a fireball after drawing it in their SpellSketchBook, concentrate on the motion in their mind and run up the wall, or use their artifact digital tablet to paint a creature and summon it so it can defend the artist.
To make the exploration more organized, a Challenges system was developed by the city mayor, a Lemur called Lava. Anyone can post a Challenge on a Bounty Board in Fibinochi Square, requesting to do some task for them or explore a specific region for a reward. That's exactly where you, the would be heroes, meet each other - slightly sleepy after restless night spent drawing, all of you are in dire need of an Inspiration and fresh ideas.

===
1) Draw your character and optionally write a few sentences about him - maybe he have a personal goal in this art world? What is his rpg class if he have one? Mangaka/Wizard/Gunslinger/Hacker? Or maybe he's non-human?

2) Choose one of the following challenges that are up today on the Bounty Board:
[ a ] Investigate recent cases of artists gone missing
[ b ] Explore the lands to the South of the city, in the Obsidian Archipelago
[ c ] Capture the Poorly Drawn Fanart Monster that escaped his artist summoner and went rogue somewhere in the Santimountain

basically mimicking this class design in terms of mobility/combat:

quite short. Maybe 5'2" or 5'3" with their boots on. Good at jumping from high distances and quitely abosrbing the landing, since his limbs dont really seem to have bones.Spends much time in the bounty board attempting to recruit heros, with little to moderate success.

Dave the robbit bard. He plays the gun. I'm gonna draw him I swear.
He's a small private security bot, just trying to find his owner. He has revised his files in search for clues but they're corrupted.
The small jetpack in its back uses hydrogen to function, and while it is not potent enough to make Dave fly, he's able to jump really far.

How about a regular human artist armed with a spear that is a giant paintbrush on the other end?
>>
This guy doesn't really have a name but he's been called penis-orc and penis-kun by acquaintances!

He's big and strong and the extent of his powers is described thoroughly in the pic. He's pretty new to this. His only weapon is his fists and his AC is probably pretty good even if it doesn't seem like it should be. It's weird that he has these magic spells despite his weak magic stat, that might be a bit of a liability... I doubt he really likes art too much but he's been known to finger paint every now and then. I don't think he really has any goals either. Also, good artists make him flaccid. It's weird that you're pitching this for /ic/ because /ic/ hates fun.

[blue][ c ][/blue] sounds pretty favourable to him!

Supernatural/conspiracy fanatic that also sells pre-Cataclysm drawing tools (ie. broken Cintiqs and graphics tablet snapped in half). Strengths lie in minor repairs, large web of contacts/connections, and keen eye. Weak in rational and physical strength. Perhaps closest to the merchant class?

The disappearance of a big name artist spurs her into leaving Batcook Alley and to uncover the mystery...

After heated dispute you decided that missing artists case is more urgent. The Challenge specifies that there were 2 missing persons this week, which is a novelty for LASotopia. No one was using the Suicide Plank behind the Submission Tower recently, so this can only mean that something malicious happened to them.
The first case happened a week ago and it was someone named Veror who lived in the Stagnant Slump at the base of the Rylaifu's Ascend.
The most recent case looks more important though - it's an artist called Line, who lived in the Cloud District and disappeared only two days ago.
Your...uhm, colorful company catches interested looks from the passers-by while it ventures to catch the morning Airship to Cloud District.

(Also rolling to determine which character will get a Special Event).

Line lives (lived?) in a two-story building. Bored Tribunalbot (local police force) that was guarding the door hears that you are here for a Challenge, notifies his HQ and lets you in.
While the rest are coming into the house, Regular Human Artist with A Giant Paintbrush notices a shadowy figure that watches your party closely from the alley opposite to the house, hiding behind the barrel. The figure notices your gaze, hisses and disappears in the depth of the alley. Draw it!

You step down a few stairs and appear in a small (would be cozy if not for the broken perspective, which is kinda common in local artist houses) room with minimalistic furniture.
Starting from the top right, there are:
- a couch that transforms into a bed
- stairs to the second floor that lead to the LOCKED iron door
- some posters of famous artists that hang unsuspiciously in the corner behind the stairs
- a table and a stool. There are a couple of items on the table:
= Piles of A4 paper, some empty, some with gestures and sketches (which are really good)
= couple of regular pencils, 2B, 4B and 8B
= pile of colored pencils. Blue, Purple and Red are missing.
= a used up old smartphone. On a closer inspection it appears to be broken recently. Maybe something with a faulty accumulator?

A few of you decide to go out and interview the neighbors. Anon 1 that lives to the left says that the morning Line disappeared he was staying at a friend's house in Animetown and he's unable to help you.
Anon 2 however, who lives to the right, says that he knew Line pretty closely and the guy was getting incredibly gud lately, people were even saying that he was getting close to making it and getting invited to the Pro Heaven. Once you start asking him if he noticed something weird at the time of disappearance he suddenly changes his mood, start acting frightened and says that he don't know anything with a stuttering and unconvincing voice.

===
1) Decide what action you want to do and draw your character doing it. Don't forget to roll d20 to determine success rate ('dice+1d20' in the Options field, without quotes).

2) Regular Human Artist with A Giant Paintbrush, draw the strange figure that was spying on your party! (whatever your imagination suggests you).

As others interview the the neighbors, the lord examines the sketches for any kind of date, notes, message etc. (as well as searching for a sketch good enough to add to his inspo chest). The lord considers the broken smartphone for a moment, but figures the cute one with the pointy hat and many eyes is more suited for the task. The lord also takes a closer look at the posters behind him, finding them to be oddly placed here behind the stairs, in an otherwise empty room. It wonders if they are perhaps hiding something...

While the others are busy investigating, Kerask the Forge Spirit makes his way up to the Cloud District docks on the Airship!

Backstory:
Before there was LASotopia, there was the old world, the base of which was crafted meticulously by the Forge Spirits, an ancient godlike race of ethereal beings who had could create magical constructs. Drawing power from the fabled Luminous Forge, they oversaw these changing realms for centuries. But the Forge Spirits grew proud, spiteful and competitive. They began to contort the world to suit their megalomaniacal and increasingly impractical designs. One day, their creations collapsed, erasing whole civilizations. Whether or not this was the cause of the Grand Catacylsm is unknown. Ashamed of their failure, they slunk away into the farthest reaches of the land, never to be seen again. And the Luminous Forge grew cold and dark.
Though the immortal Forge Spirits have hidden away, their distant descendants still exist. They have similar world-shaping abilities, though the power they wield is a miniscule fraction of their ancestors. They are reclusive and few in number, as they are feared and hated by LASotopians who know of the Grand Cataclysm.
Kerask is one of these Forge Sprites. Though whimsical, immature and mischevous, these attributes conceal a studious and almost academic curiosity abut the world. He shrugs off the disdain of fellow LASotopians with sarcasm, humor and practical jokes, though in truth, he feels rather insecure about who he is. He seeks to uncover the history of his ancestors, to find the truth behind the Grand Cataclysm and to discover and rekindle the Luminous Forge.

Strengths:
High wisdom/dexterity, good intelligence.
Excellent utility in combat and in the field, very effective with ranged allies (vantage points, concealment, positional advantages).

Weakneses:
Low charisma and strength, poor constitution.
Low direct damage, team-reliant, some very situational skills.
>>
>>404190

Competences:
As a Forge Sprite, Kerask is capable of building temporary (and eventually, permanent) magical structures. If he can visualize it, and he is powerful enough, he can create it. Initially, these structures are easily destroyed, plain and not very versatile, but as he gains experience and Imagination, he can learn to create constructs with completly custom physical properties and even living creatures and permanent objects.

Based on his priorities, he can train to improve particular aspects of his constructs:
Magnitude (size/impact)
Integrity (durability/duration)
Properties (physical properties)
Shaping (constructive accuracy)
Appearance (illusions and concealment)
Range (casting range)

Possible Abilities (in sort of an ostensible order of difficulty):
Raise Wall: Summons a large, physical wall. Allies can ride it as it ascends (particularly good with ranged units who can make use of cover or a high sniping point), and enemies can be displaced or isolated by it.
Alter Object: Changes the physical properties of any held object. He can change its texture, apperance, weight, taste and smell. This effect is temporary.
Break Terrain: Reshapes an area, dealing damage to enemies and creating hazardous terrain for enemies to traverse.
Repair: Fixes an item.
Create Object: Creates a counterfeit object that may fool those with poor perception.
Summon Familiar: Creates a temporary, non-living, autonomous construct to attack his enemies.
Arcane Forge: Constructs temporary magical armor and/or weapons.
Fauna Genesis: Creates a permanent, living, breathing creature.
Microcosm: Completely and permanently creates or reshapes a location into an environment he envisions, with its own natural flora, fauna and climate.

Thanks for being patient. If anything in the lore or character doesn't fit let me know.

She breaks the door open with a slimy crowbar in the blink of an eye. Whoa, seems like it was just in the right time! The room contains a warderobe with some clothes (seems to belong to a teenage boy), an opened chest, and... an evil looking Barrelman who stuffs something from the chest inside his barrel and is going to launch himself out of the building!

You start from the bottom of the pile. There are lots of sketches containing a variety of fantasy-themed drawings like lady knights, wizards and castles. There is also a whole page of what looks like crossed out iterations of a monster. You curiously look at the only non-crossed out image (probably a final version) and realize that it's supposed to be a certain animal that you know (it lives in the LASotopia area actually), but Line draw it with a terrible anatomy and proportions (very surprising considering his people and environments were really good). The final few pages are filled to the brim with gestures. They start out lively and accurate and slowly descend into chaotic and nervous lines. On the second page they start to overlap each other and transform into scribbles and there is a sentence repeated a couple of times throughout the page: "CAN'T FEEL IT".
The Lord carefully searches the posters, but there is nothing too unusual about them.

Draw the animal that Line unsuccessfully tried to portray.

>>403770
Gagamba disassembles the phone and a black and white bug falls onto her lap! It tries to scurry away, but she catches him easily. The bug has a large ears and a small snot/mouth with a little speaker. There is also something that seems to be a partially erased logo on its back (or is it just a natural pattern?). She recalls that this is a variant of a highly customizable minibot, a petlike robot that have it's own AI, but can be programmed to do its owners bidding.
Regarding the phone itself, it seems that the problem is actually with the power supply - it drains battery power super fast, in 1 minute, after which the battery needs to be fully charged again. Gagamba is not sure how to fix such complex issue in field conditions, However, during the 1 minute it worked (with your backup battery) you noticed that Line kept his digital artworks here, (it will take more time to look through all of them and read accompanying notes). During the last 10 seconds of battery time you check the last calls - and strangely enough there are calls from Veror in the last week, the second artist who gone missing ( a whole week ago!).

Both yours and Lord's investigation is briefly interrupted by the loud noise of the door to the second floor being smashed, the loud angry hissing from that direction and the screeching of wheels outside.

==
1) Draw what you are going to do now (new players start on the first floor)

2) Lord, please sketch the animal that Line was trying to draw (can and maybe even should be fictional)

It seems like neither PENORC nor the barrelman realizes Kerask's just arrived. Kerask sneaks up along the wall beside the alley, peers down it, and sees the PENORC's fists barreling down on the barrelman, and the barrelman scurrying away, readying his sling.

This is a good chance! Kerask, from his cover, focuses and attempts to raise a wall, slightly behind and beneath the barrelman as to throw him off balance, cut off his escape route and to give PENORC a wall to pin his opponent against for a proper beatdown.

Admittedly, Kerask is kind of intimidated/nervous about the presence of a giant dick four times larger than he is (Kerask is small, about three feet in height).

A bug; the government must've planted this! The sound of screeching tires alerted her; only super-secret LSA (Lava Security Agency) would flaunt their power and presence in broad daylight like this! One urgent pocketing of the bug and smartphone later, Gagamba was out Line's house. Finding the correct charging cable within her mass of cords would take eons; that speeding white van takes precedence!

If she couldn't keep up with the Tribunal van, she would trail that suspicious Tribunalbot to find out where they were going... Who knows if she'll be discreet enough?
>>
>>404825
I question the Tribunalbot as to any details of the case:

What has it seen and heard whilst guarding Line's house?
Has there been anyone loitering around watching the building?
Does it recognise that Tribunal van?
Does it have any idea why the van might be here?
Has it seen anything suspicious in the local area?

After close examination, the lord determines that the creature Line was attempting to draw was a "Flake" , a demented lemur like creature that hid below the surface of lava and used its powerful hind legs to spring out at unsuspecting volcano climbers. Its fur was not affected by the lava, and often times has clumps of it dripping when it walks on land. Such creatures could not be found for many miles however, and it wondered why Line would be compelled to try and illustrate it, himself being primarily an environment artist. As the lord turned away from the posters, he heard the iron door being forced open by the green fellow. As clover held up the barrelman, the lord attempts to slip to the left and block the exit through the window

Kerask successfully raises a wall of solid arcane enery. The barrelman bumps off the corner of it as it ascends, and rocks about a bit, but it's probably not enough to throw him off guard or seriously throw off his aim.

Regardless, both the barrelman and the PENORC are now aware of Kerask's arrival.

A note about how i process dice rolls:
Easy action requires 5 or more to succeed
Moderately hard action needs >=10
Something very hard needs >=15
If you fail the roll, you don't get the full result but may get some relevant hints and parts of the answer.
If you pass the roll well over the target number you get a bonus/boosted result.

The barrelguy manages to see through Clover's ruse, but the appearance of Lord who dramatically jumps to cut the access to the window forces him to quickly throw the item he stole in the window (looked like a package). The Lord's hands miss the package by just a few centimeters and it falls down to the alley outside, where the sound of barrels rolling from the east grows closer and closer.
Barrelguy-thief glances at the embarrassing landing by Lord and stares at Clover with the "Do what you want, i have already won' expression.

PENORC readied his menacing PENFISTS and started chasing the fleeting barrelman. He feels confident that he'll smash this fella to pieces, but the barrel rolls way too fast! Also two barrels at the end of the alley reveal themselves as barrelmen too and they prepare slings with icy looking bullets.
Suddenly, the ground behind the barrelguy the PENORC is chasing trembles and a wall of solid cloudstone raises up! Unfortunate barreldude was too focused on targeting the PENORC and he smashes into the wall on full speed! And on top of that the orc makes his signature jump attack and starts pummeling poor barrel into the ground.
Kerask only sees pieces of wood flying away from PENORC - that barreldude is done for.
Both of you don't see what's happening with the bad guys on the other side of the newly risen wall, but you hear the sound of them rolling away to the LEFT.

*beep* I was dispatched here after patrolling Stagnant Slums. And let me tell you. Human being. Cloud District is the most normal place in the world compared to that place.

The van drives too fast indeed (way past the speed limit in this district) so you use a distraction provided by the Giovanni the Giant Brush Artist and hide yourself from the bot. After their brief conversation the excited robot runs after the van which disappeared in the nearby street. He seems too single-minded so it's very easy to sneak behind him. On the way he seems to be contacted by the radio and you overhear his responses:
- Tribunalbot 364 reporting in
- ...
- Yes, these arists are officially Challenged to search the house.
- ...
- *beep in disbelief* I-I need to stall them and let the van and mercenary barrelmen get away safely with the Crucial Evidence? But sir, it's against the law!
- ...
- (The voice of the Tribunalbot suddenly changes and becomes more deep and menacing) Order 200 - activated. Tribunalbot 364 will arrest these artists and assist the barrelmen.
The robot vanishes around the corner and when you get there you see the van parked at the end of the street. It's large side doors are opened in the direction of an alley leading to the back of the Line's house. Two more Tribunalbots step out of the van (their lights burn purple instead of a usual red). Your familiar robot is also there, his headlight turned purple, standing guard near the van -> >>409464

I actually think it'd be pretty difficult for PENORC to jump - especially with those tiny legs. He's like an elephant. Much better at head-on combat.

Either way, at least he gets to do this badass mid-air punch with civilians looking on in total awe. He spends a good amount of time bludgeoning BARRELMAN2 even though he's probably already dead.

I guess at this point in time PENORC's bloodlust meter is way up and he wants to crush barrel guy's friends despite having icy(?) bullets - ice is one of PENORC's very few weaknesses. Another one of these weaknesses is speed - PENORC is quite slow unless he has some time and distance to charge (like an elephant) and going all the way around Line's house sounds like a bit of a hassle. Perhaps he could use some assistance from his new wispy companion.

(I might draw a Tribunalbot later if I'm up to it. PENORC isn't really performing any action so I'll leave dice rolls up to Kerask. Also, congrats on posting on-time.)

Wow. Kerask assumed PENORC would be strong, but the splintery remains of the barrelman flying everywhere definitely confirms and exceeds his imagination.

With one barrelman dispatched, and two more somewhere behind the wall, Kerask quickly mulls over his options.

He initially considers shattering the wall he just made before it times out and fades away, hoping to catch the barrelmen before they scurry away towards the left. But the barrelmen, from what Kerask sees, are pretty fast, and probably wouldn't get caught in the debris blast. Also, though terrifyingly strong, he notes that PENORC isn't fantastic at leaping or running, making the following chase hazardous, especially against opponents with ranged weapons.

With this in mind, Kerask concludes that the only way to catch up to the barrelmen while also preserving the element of surprise is to elevate the both of them to the first level roof, run across the roof (covering less distance) and get the drop on them. And there's no need for PENORC to be fast when gravity can do the accelerating for him. But time is of the essence. This wall needs to be strong and fast to lift his girthy ally in a timely manner.

It should be noted that outside of the incidental noises from the others' encounters, Kerask is only aware of PENORC, and none of the his allies just yet and their presence may be something of a surprise to him.

Sounded like something fell out of a window whilst Giovanni was talking to the Tribunalbot... he'd better take a look. Hopefully, it hasn't been damaged.

He investigates the left alleyway, to see another of those sneaky barrelmen about to grab a present! Then he sees Clover jump from the window and engulf the barrelman. Giovanni approaches the scene.

"I guess that's one way to avoid taking the stairs. Glad I didn't get wet, though. That barrelman was after this present! I wonder why? He's looking pretty green, so I guess it must be important."

Kerask concentrates on creating the new wall underneath him and PENORC and because of his excitement he underestimates his powers a little - instead of just lifting them to the roof level, the floor beneath them surges with power and catapults them across the roof!
Seems like the luck jumped from Giovanni to the orc and a spirit - because they are falling exactly at the spot where two barrelmen are going to be in a second. *SMASH* - PENORC landed safely on one of them, crashing him completely! Kerask glides above the second one, but he lacks the sheer weight of his cocky companion to instantly crush the foe.

Dark Eyed jumps out of the window, passing Lord who just started standing up and Clover who froze midair above the alley. Energized Insomniac starts working with his broom and creates clouds of dust around him while smacking the nearby barrel. After a few seconds the time-stopping effect of the pill starts to wear off and parts of the barrel starts flying away from it, smashed by the cruel broom. They are followed by the black hat and a dead head with surprised expression stuck on it - it was actually a barrelman in hiding!
Dark Eyed also hears the splash of the Clover finally landing behind him, the sound of Tribunal sirens further in the alley and sees PENORC and Kerrask landing on one of the unsuspecting barrelmen to the right of him. What a tactical operation!

>>410796
>>412761
With the barrelman-thief firmly secur...uh, engulfed, Clover looks around for potential threats. Hey, what's that cloud of dust at the end of an alley, right where another barrelman was standing just a moment ago? The cloud slowly vanishes and reveals somehow dangerous looking Dark Eyed, standing on the pile of barrel remains. There's also a loud sound of another barrel being crushed further up the alley - seems like Clover's party members were not wasting time.
With immediate danger gone Clover starts unpacking the box - huh, there's a [Demonic Book] there! It's indescribably vile, so someone needs to draw how it looks like!

>>412761
Luckily, the Dark Eyed took care of that threat, so looks like you guys are safe and can finally discuss what you've learned from the crime scene and plan further investigation... oh wait!

The last remaining barrelman panics and changes his direction to the north - seems like you guys demolished his morale by crushing both of his friends at the same second. He sees something there, grins and starts screaming: "Tribunal! Tribunal! We are being bullied by these criminals! Help!"
Kerask and PENORC notice two Tribunalbots with pistols and purple headlights taking cover at the end of the north alley and one bot who looks eerie similar to the one who guarded the House, but with a purple headlight instead of red.
The bot takes out a megaphone and shouts with a deep robotic voice : "*BEEP* ATTENTION ARTISTS! YOU ARE (almost) SURROUNDED! COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP! AND HAND US THE PRESENT! *BOP*"

The approaching policebots seem drawn in such a way that they look totally evil and probably won't even believe PENORC'S self defence/accident plea and he friggin' hates cops anyways so the "play nice" plan is out of the picture.

His first instinct is to scream "I'M NOT AN ARTIST!" and make a relatively quick mad dash, jump the fence, and live among his ovine friends in the farm. His second instinct is to use his psychic compatriot and that meat shield down the alley to lacerate these ludicrous-looking law enforcers with his big ol' grippers.

But then, something about a present? What present? Oh, this one. Key Item 6. Looks pretty cool. Whomever designed this must be a real awesome and witty dude. Regardless, anything that the tribunalbots want this badly must be something worth hanging onto. PENORC hates to show weakness but it seems that to grab the book and escape he's gonna need the help of some of these snooty artisans.

After spending a bit longer dazed on the ground than it would like, the lord jumps and a contains the barrelman in the chest and stands before him, making it very clear with the position of its arm so that even with the lords cloak the barrelman could tell the lord had its hands on a weapon. The lord thought for a moment and figured that since this barrelman was willing to trade its life for that package, it clearly was a disposable underling. The possibility of this missing persons case being some kind of crime of passion was nullified, this was clearly some kind of organized operation. The lord glances at the dresser and, and is intrigued by the vague shape up top, before the sound of the barrelmans sweat hitting the floor reminded the lord of its priorities.

Gagamba's heart had stopped at the realization that her lifelong suspicions were actually unfolding in front of her, leaving her frozen for far too long. The sounds of commotion and the metallic voice of the leader Tribunalbot brought her back to reality. She needs to do something to save the others (and prove she was right all this time about The Man). There's not much the merchant can do, for the others are too far away to warn, nor can she hop the fence and join the fray, for she's far too weak. But that unattended van... Kerask is a bit taken aback by the barrelman's callously deceptive pleas to the Tribunalbots, but even more so about their demands about a present. What present? Kerask doesn't know anything about a present. Had PENORC stolen a gift of some sort? This doesn't make any sense. Kerask glances at his gargantuan ally nervously.

Kerask then tries to diffuse the situation by quickly explaining that the barrelman is lying. That the two of them had been accosted by him and his allies. He also explains that he has no idea what they mean by a present. He continues to nervously shift his gaze between the tribunalbots and PENORC.

For some reason, in the back of his mind, Kerask suddenly remembers a book that he once heard of. A tome linked to one of the most corrupted of the Forge Spirits. The volume contains all manner of horrific incantations for tainting whole landscapes with twisted, mutative dark magics, erecting nightmarish spires that instilled terror in all that stood beneath its shadow, awakening horrifying abominations from deep within the earth, and more.

A tear falls down his neck and he weeps:

His tirade is interrupted by what sounds like a car signal (if a person tried to imitate it. A very slimy person) right outside. You need to quickly decide whether to Pardon or Punish this guy. STOP IT! OH GOD STOP IT! You friend PENORC is injured by one of Tribunalbots! You should do something about it!
>Alright! Clover to the rescue!
Clover quickly drive to Tribunalbots.
>You guys seriously need to PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER! XD
- Oh God! That was horrible pun!
- I think my circuits burned because of that joke.
Tounge?! Really?! You not going to eat them are you?
>Well. Should I?
I think we can ask them a couple of questions.
>This is boring! >:(
Well then. Someone else can ask them a questions I guess.

> fuck me time to get better at perspective

Kerask, initially satisfied that his message had gotten through to what he assumed were fair law-enforcing robots, especially when the second one stops the barrelguy in his tracks with his pistol, was hoping for a peaceful resolution.

However, the situation escalates quickly when an odd goo-sports-car races in from the street at the end of the alley, lifting the two cops with its tongue, a cat-wearing painter arrives offering assistance and a broom... thing starts breathing really heavily. Were these artists acquainted with PENORC? Wow. Proper introductions will have to be made later as Kerask was late to the party.

Regardless, the situation has turned rather awkward and Kerask shifts to a more anticipatory mindset. He first tries to drag the dazed PENORC into the alley for some cover, but Kerask is severely lacking in strength. Recalling PENORC's minor electrical abilities and brutish physique, he then shifts his attention to his boxing gloves, casting an incantation to temporarily change the material into a conductive metal, making them capable of channeling electrical energy like a tesla coil. Moreover, the metal will probably add more power to PENORC's punches, and the cocky creature is more than capable of holding two very heavy gloves. If he's successful, PENORC will be ready for any fight after he comes to, if it should come to that.

By now, the temporary cloudstone wall Kerask erected earlier to block off the first barrelman has probably faded.

Ushanka let's out a sweet yawn and announces: "Oh hi new users. I'm a Wacom Companion Hat, guess i can assist you in your journey if you ask nicely. Need any directions in art or otherwise?"
In the meantime Clover, aided by the Lord's psychic powers, snags the unsuspecting bots, incapacitating them with her signature puns!

Giovanni and Kerask get PENORC out of the harm, behind the Clovercar. PENORC's fists are now boosted! (+3 to all unarmed fighting/strength rolls. Kerask was probably distracted by all the happenings around him, so he was not able to concentrate fully on this buff - t will last only 1 turn). The effects of Taser starts to wear off and he can move again.
Only one threat left - your buddy Tribunalbot who guarded the house, now turned purple and evil! He's standing between Clovercar and a Tribunal van with Gagamba, readying his metallic fists and preparing to stall the party. His dramatic final stand is interrupted by someone breathing right near him - Tribunalbot turns away from both the Clover and Gagamba for a few seconds to address the source of disturbance:
- *beep* Who's there?! Street sweeper. Don't distract me from stopping these artists. I need to frame them when my colleagues arrive. *bop*

Tribunal sirens become visible at the end of the street and along with them clouds of steam rise up, accompanied by the loud whistle - the dreaded Tank Train is coming!
Unless you want to risk explaining yourself to them, knowing that they *might* be involved in this crime somehow, you might want to hop into one of the available vehicles and choose where to drive to escape the chase! Tribunal forces have already spotted you, but you'll have a head start if you hit the gas (or the slime?) this turn.

For those who are still on foot, choose where you want to ride:
[Clovercar] - no seats left unless she drops the captive robots
[Tribunal van] - 5 seats left, but currently blocked by the last resisting Tribunalbot.

And everyone can decide where to go now. Both passages lead inside the cloud and through it's tunnels, but they have differences:
[ a ] Up to the Sheep Farms - all sides of the road (including the ceiling) are heavily populated and will probably have lots of witnesses, but there are a couple of branches and narrow streets between the buildings where you could hide.
[ b ] Down to the Monster Caves - no citizens live there, so no one will be able to rat you out to cops. And the cops themselves would think twice before going deep down there. On the other hand, no one knows what horrible creatures await you there.

You can also already plan your escape strategy.

Giovanni approaches the Tribunalbots. A deep blue paint seeps out onto his paintbrush, seemingly from within it, covering its surface.

"Listen here, officerbots. I can tell you that a crime is quite likely to happen in the future, and I'm tipping you off. The place? Right here. The crime? Two rather suspect Tribunalbots were restrained and their vision was impaired by means of common artistic equipment, thus reducing their operational capability by 99%. The culprit? That would be me, with this paintbrush and blue paint."

I hover the paintbrush next to the eyelight of one of the struggling bots.

"But you can prevent this crime, by telling me who you work for and why you didn't come here sooner."

Gagamba considers her options, as the piercing sound of the incoming Tank Train nips at her to hurry the hell up before she was actually a captive of the system. Maybe she could spin this van around, speed up, do a couple donuts, and knock that one false Tribunalbot down and make a getaway? Not even with the amount of 'Fast and Furious' movies she's seen could she pull it off. Plus she'd probably end up end up slamming a few of her party members into the walls. But donuts... Something about that is captivating. Her eyes jump to that box of vibrant colorful pastries sitting on the dash. Yes, donuts! Everyone loves donuts. She'll persuade the robot to leave them be through the power of donuts.

There's no way this could go wrong so she approaches the robot with the donuts in hand, and asks "Excuse me, Sir. But please leave my companions be in exchange for these delicious and magnificent donuts". With a flourish, she opens the box up to entice it with the bright sprinkles and warm aroma that lie within. "Oh, and I need to keep your van," she adds quickly.

(Sorry about missing yesterday again. Fixed my sleeping schedule so hopefully I don't do that as much.)

Ow, that was a long sleep.
A bunch of stuff's happening that PENORC didn't really pay attention to so he's more than a little disoriented, to say the least. Here's how he's assessing the situation:
> There's a DPD Magic School Car with a robot, a guy, and several other robots (evil) inside. Cool.
> Orc Gauntlets are now actually made of metal (temp?) so they're probably hitting a lot harder and probably have some mild stun powers as well, it'd be pretty dumb not to strike while the iron gloves are hot!
> A mewing sound is coming from somewhere...
> There are some clouds rolling in. In cloudtown. That's probably nothing.
> Purple robot says something about picture frames?

Well, that purple robot is pissing PENORC off and it's totally the one who police brutality'd him earlier so it's time to get some swift, immediate justice. He figures flubbercar can turn into a flubbertrain or whatever and make space for a potential getaway as well. That makes sense.

Wow! It seem Clover and Lord are thinking the same way! Well that's not really good consider that Clover doesn't have brains at all.
>It's time to throw garbage AWAY!
Clover on full speed swing her tongue and throw all Tribunalbots from her way.
>Alright! It's time to move out! To the Monster caves!
Aren't you wanted to visit sheep farm?
>What farm?
As I said "brainless"...

- HA.HA.HA. You fleshbag don't even realize what will happen. When the Short One gets to you. You misfits can't stop us.
There's a sudden bright flash and a snapping sound from the robot's eye which was directed at Giovanni.
- There. Now she will know who ruined her operation.

Will reply to others tomorrow, i'm also fixing my sleep schedule.

With the sudden arrival of new allies and their powerful attacks, including a shocking punch and a gooey tongue toss, Kerask dashes (floats?) forward and prepares his contribution. Focusing intensely, he attempts to tear up the ground beneath the dazed Tribunalbot into jagged, ruined terrain, limiting his movement if failing to finally incapacitate him.
>>
>>420221

Oh, and I forgot to mention.

Kerask would prefer to move towards [b], the monster caves. It may not be a great idea to hang out in heavily populated areas due to the poor reputation of Forge Sprites and the Monster Caves are more likely to yield clues about the Luminous Forge. Hopefully the way to the Tribunal van will be cleared before the train gets here.
