The filthy, oddly postured family waited on the rocks bordering the forest, off to the side of the road. The older couple both sported noticable bruises and burns, while the three children somewhat less so. All five of their stomaches were growling.

And then, they saw it; a Godric bee goods trade run. Honey, wax, home remedies and the like. It didn't matter how many men guarded their treasures, that food was going to be theirs.

The bearded loon led his family's charge, hollering and shouting nonsensical gibberish, him and the others each grabbing a pot of honey here, a merchant dinner there. They ran off into the distance, whooping in triumph, as all the Godric men chased them down, tackling them one by one.

When they turned back, all the goods were gone. Nothing remained, with everything somehow having been stolen in the time the guards and merchants were gone. Angrily mumbling, assuming it was a bandit raid, they turned back towards their home, captives in tow.

Fishermen on the Longfork River have whispered of strange things since the destruction of Nayte; now, these whispers are shouts. A swarm of lunatics have settled in the furthest south-east forest in the realm of Roggar.

The first generation were merely magic-sensitive men and women whose minds were fried by the magic unleashed at Nayte; sadly, the madness is all their children will ever know, along with their own myriad of issues, physical and mental.

Following the events within the portal at Nayte Crater, the unusally competent leader known as "Manman" failed to return. Not knowing (or perhaps caring) why, the drug-addled lunatic Barnaby declared himself leader of his fellows.

In the reign of Nick Ashwood, Barnaby somehow became Royal Admiral, and promptly ignited several Yalmfrid trade ships on suspicion of swampweed smuggling. In the year 251 he was imprisoned for decade by reason of arson, and spent one day a week smoking swampweed with a man named Lee, who acted as his temporary replacement. In addition, he appeared to believe he had successfully seduced the halfling Palidi Moxstep, a delusion which she refused to comment on.

After his release, Barnaby exhibited anger issues possibly related to withdrawl due to the long term swampweed reduction, and experimented with various methods to recapture his "buzz". He died in the tragic sinking of Project Weedboat's maiden voyage.

He was swiftly replaced by a shadowy figure with an apparent affinity for alchemy, who is yet to be seen by the rest of the kingdom.

James Ashwood is the young son of the late Dean Ashwood, and the last living heir of the family due to the spate of assassinations that's plagued it. He is only 18 years old, and fears greatly for his life, having seen the death of his father and uncle in quick succession, but wishes to carry the torch of their magical experiments and research.

In ages past men lived simpler lives - they would hunt, farm, fight and always respect the might of the Old Gods. Shamans led the clans with their elemental magic - so it was for many generations, before history was ever written down. The great hero Rog united a dozen human clans into a tribe that would form the foundation of our future Kingdom. One day Rog mysteriously vanished - then came the Great Storm - when it passed, the shamans could no longer feel the presence of the Gods and had lost the source of their magic.
Our civilization would have to progress on its own and so for generations we worked the lands, expanded in numbers and territory. We adopted goblin miners, fought dragons and welcomed a demonic warband. Adventures were had, technology progressed as we explored more and more of the world, largely adopting the faith of the New Gods of the Pantheon.
In the last year and a half a terrible war ravaged the land. Dark elves, dragons, orcs, centaurs, ogres, norsemen and demons sought to bring about the end of the mighty Kingdom of Paitras. Roggar's King and his closest friends were seduced by a dark elf witch into pledging their aid for the Horde. As the Legions of Paitras fought to protect the Duchy of Kulargar from invasions, a civil war raged within Roggar between supporters of Paitras and supporters of the Horde. Battles, betrayals and struggles culminated in the Siege of Nayte, the center of secular science in Roggar and home to our demon community. Outnumbered and outmatched by the enemy, the defenders of Nayte set off a powerful magical explosion that wiped both the city and the attackers off the face of the Earth, leaving only a large crater.
Spring came again and the leaders of Roggar's warring factions came together in the capital, Dragonstomb, to select a new Dragonking.

In the east, the Horde crushed the power of the mighty Paitran Kingdom, which splintered off into multiple smaller states, while the various races of the Horde also took their own paths, some returning to their traditional homelands, others setting themselves up as rulers over the humans.
In the Nayte Crater we accidentally opened a portal to Hell, which we managed to destroy by flooding the crater.
After the Second Horde War the Norsemen were united into an Empire and we've been fighting them ever since - in their last attack they sacked Dragonstomb, our capital, thanks to the might of their Ice Dragons.
We've expanded eastwards into two former provinces of Paitras, but that has led to the remaining Paitran states being suspicious of our intentions. The orcs and demons are still fighting, locked in a stalemate.

The leaders of the County of Sekalath, Duchy of Ezgielath, Principality of Archeport, the High Elves and the Dwarves have gathered in Geddunal and reformed the Alliance. With the orcs and demons being exhausted from fighting each other, the Geddunal Alliance is now preparing to strike at the heartland of Paitras to reclaim the Holy City of Dominas and as much land as possible and to free their brethren from slavery.

Far away from all of this though, in Roggar other events and plots are advancing.
Inquisitor Sofia has been arrested and will probably stand trial soon, while in Silverlake a part of the local population is at odds with the Godrics who recently gained control over the city through legal ways.

We shall soon see how those matters will be resolved. The crown is a heavy burden on Griff's head...

>>473479
While i do support Godric's claim to Silver lake i think a compromise can be found. There is no need to resort to any violence or arguing. Let's set the matter like civilised people. I will offer you Madborn home at my town of Lakton, you will be under my protection there as guest and will have freedom to move at any given moment. You will remain independent and will have a right to do what ever you wish as long as it doesn't break the laws of man and Gods.
>>
>>473519
Cassius i know you have been hurting after losing your (autistic) dragon, but you should pay attention to the events the kingdom has been going trough, Gunnar has earned the respect of those 7k warrior by deafiting a great norse warrior with out even a single scratch.
>>
>>473495
But during the period of New Administration and the new governance of Feudalism, you, Madborn, held no claims to land and thus Sliverlake became a neutral territory ungoverned by anyone, including those of your line.
Why is that?
>>
>>473519
He won a duel a few threads back
>>
>>473521
Erden speaks well and I implore that both sides listen to him, let this not fall into meaningless violence.
>>
>>473521
So you wish me to move my people to a town of unknown lands. While my temple stands strong and my Academy the center of magic in the kingdom.
I've been here long before his foolish attempts at obtaining my town. His foolish attempt to construct one midway to the capital. And my people shall not be moved over his petty wants.

I believe the king may have just overlooked this fact.
My people have been here and ruled for generations now. And for long to come will we serve our kingdom from our home.
>>
>>473479
I support Godric claims here in the Partias if you have the legit ownership it that person. In this case Godric
>>
>>473541
If your going to take away my claims of Sliverlake you making me lose not just one town but two. Silverlake and Veince, that is but only what a King with no honor to laws will do.
>>
>>473554
I am merely trying to ascertain his claims.

Do not accuse me of having no honor.
>>
>>473549
Your faction assets can be moved to Lakton. And i assure you that will have a warm welcome and you will find that Lakton and Silverlake are rather similar cities. The heart of an academy lies in the tomes and knowledge it posses and those things can be easily moved and preserved somewhere safer, since Lakton is inland and at one of the safest locations in the kingdom. As for your temple i am willing to spend an H to building one even greater(if it is a pantheon one). there is no need for harsh word and violence we are all after all Roggarians.

In the autumn of the year 280 After the Storm, Inquisitor Sofia is brought to the center of Dragonstomb to stand trial.
The Judges in this trial are King Griff, Lord Trusted Adviser and Duke Gunnar.
The accusers are Finn Hawthorne and Goblin Trinket Smuggler.
The defendents are Duke Cassius Whitevayne, a priest of Juras by the name of Faultet(That will be me In Character) on behalf of Inquisitor Sofia, who herself may also speak out if she wishes.

Everyone is invited to witness the trial. The spectators may make remarks among themselves and may be summoned to act as witnesses.

The trial will at most take three days - at some point in these three days the judges will make their judgement and announce their decision - it will either be Guilty, Not Guilty or Proceed to Trial By Combat.

Everyone is now gathered in the capital for this trial, the judges have made their opening statements.

Firstly, we call upon the accusers to present their evidence in this case.

Inquisitor Sofia is being accused of one case of Regicide(Nick Ashwood) and two cases of homicide(Dean Ashwood and James Ashwood) in that order.

Accusers, please step forward.

>>
>>473573
So my family has been researching the King Killer for decades. One of our biggest leads was a man in Paitras clothing who payed off an assassin.
Truth be told, I believed none of it, until my father DIED DUE TO AN EXPLOSION.
I began my personal research, hoping to dig deeper... and that's when I was accosted by a strange informant, who tried to silence me.
I thought nothing of it, more scars mean nothing when you're missing an arm and leg, but that's when it hit me. Someone specifically trying to target my non-metal limbs when I was hidden beneath a thick cloak? Well, they must be someone involved in some way, once again linking back to the man in Paitras clothing.
According to my father and his friend, my mentor, Ashwood, he learned of the secret of magic metal from the Inquisitor, a man from PAITRAS. Soon after my mentor gave me back my life in the form of Galentine arm and leg, he died just as the old king did, and how my father did. Suspiciously.
Continuing on, I trusted the matter of my mentor's assassination to a neutral party, a man called Aristo. Over time we exchanged information, until one day a major lead was found, soon after I declared my mercenaries could be hired.
Inquisitor, the lady who I merely thought as the Ironvayne's pawn, met me in my room one night. She spoke of hiring me to kill my mentor's son James Ashwood. Hiding my shock at someone so moronic as to think I would kill my mentor's son, I gave her ten men loyal to me, and sent her on her way. She never knew that the men I sent were under orders to kill her. At least, I didn't think she did, until after I sent my letter to Aristo, which several days after I found my men on the road, dead, with Inquisitor nowhere to be seen. She had found out and had my men, undeserving of death, murdered in cold blood.
I made my way swiftly to James Ashwoods' abode, only to find that I was too late. The poor wretch lay dead, someone who I had hoped to be a father figure to one day. He was even going to marry my daughter, and had asked her hand in marriage not long after I met him.
Aristo and I pursued that bitch the Inquisitor until we found her, traveling along the road at night, clearly trying to avoid suspicion. She tried to flee, but Aristo's men overpowered her, allowing us to bring her before you today.
I ask all of you today to serve justice here today, and not allow the genocide of an entire noble family be left without recompense. I and every righteous man in Roggar now know of her crimes, and I lay them here before you today. Do not forget the name Ashwood, I beg you. I will not, and my daughter, James' to be bride, will never as long as she lives. Give her and James' justice, one that has been generations in the making, from the death of our noble king Ashwood to now.
>>
>>473578
> How does it make sense for my people to move?
Is being under a protection of a wealthy clan a bad thing? Is having a rich clan as patron while keeping your freedom a bad thing?
Why must we resort to threats and violence over trivial matter that can be solved with rational thinking and arguments?
I see that you care for you Ancestors deeply, but what would they say to you after you refuse many chances at peace and chances of better research, and all that for the belifes of a time long gone?
I plead you to think this one more time over, for we must stand united. here are many who sow discontent between us and we musn't let them prevail. Look what's happening at the capital, a TRIAL! And not just an oridnary trial a trial, but one over regicide and double homicide. One last time i ask and i plead you to think this over before it is too late for all of us.

>>
>>473627
Physical evidence? Well, I made sure to request gold so it could be easily traced to you. There's also the fact that we could question your treasurer, and Aristo had a fairly long money trail on you.
>>
>>473589
You speak well Finn, Ashwood would have been proud. It appears that you, and your allies, have gathered much evidence to support your cause. Yet, the worst, the most heinous crime of these three murders, the regicide of Nick Ashwood remains unaccounted for.

What would the Inquisitors motive be for these crimes?

Not that I question your words there is still much left unanswered, your theory makes sense, but there is little physical evidence that you have laid forth.

Is there something I am missing? Because if there is please inform me.

You want me to move my lands that I own. To a new place less suited to me needs. That you can NOT replicate.
While moving him would take less effort as he has less ties to it and it's people. But you wish to move me. Clearly I must be missing something.
>>473632
You wish to undermine me my king.
He holds no toes to our lands.

If he feels he must have them. Then he can duel me for them. But if he loses he will lose the small town of Venice. My people will not be oppressed by the unjust.
>>
>>473646
Ah, the motive. I knew I missed something out, judging by the silence in the room. Inquisitor long ago believed there to be magic metals in Nayte crater.

My father, a friend of the Ashwoods, informed them of this, and before Inquisitor could get to it, the Ashwoods controlled that lake and all inside.

In fact, Inquisitor discussed this on the night she tried to buy my men. She claimed she was sullied by this perceived slight.
>>
>>473646
As for the regicide, I believe it may have been triggered by the fact that the king chose the Pontiff from the prophet of Juras, and not the Inquisitor.

Taxes that naturally will see our king'size treasury eventually and empowering the kingdom. If every clan decided when to pay taxes or when to save for Thier own benifit it would see to the destruction of the great kingdom's of Roggar

Aristo traced the money pyed to the original assassins of the king's son back to the Inquisitor.

And yet, for the regicide, he and I discovered a darker plot as well. While we cannot reveal certain information, there may be another noble involved! That however, is a seperate trial.

If you really don't wish to move from there, then how about sharing the city? Letting it be under dual governance. Inky can take over the administration while you focus on the magic? You primal interest is magic and the magic lands? Nothing is stopping you from operating there. I don't have to be your patron, inky can be much more easily. this is in my eyes a win-win situation. You keep the lands and the research and get a rich patron, while he get's the rule over Silverlake. There is no reason to fight and bicker among our selves, This is my proposition to both sides of the argument.

It appears Godric's desires are guided by greed more than anything else. The Madborn on the other hand need this land to continue their way of life. A duel would indeed be appropriate if no other solution could be found. Though if it has to come to a vote... Gunnar would support the Madborn eventhough we have a marriage with the Godrics.

If there had not been that many more logical reasons supporting the Madborn we would have gone with Godric, sadly this was not the case in this instance.

The accusers have made their first case and now it's the defenders' turn.
(Now going in the role of Faultet)

Thank you, esteemed judges.
It appears the accusers have taken to methods beyond hyperbole, they have started to outright fabricate evidence and make false claims.

Let us reveal the actual, factual evidence.

The only thing that has actually been proven here beyond a doubt is that Inquisitor Sofia hired a number of Lord Hawthorne's men to have James Ashwood killed. Lord Hawthorne had no qualms with that either. Now, these men ended up being killed while in Dragonstomb and so far we don't[/b/] know who killed Hawthorne's men.

Not long thereafter, a dark elf assassin killed James Ashwood. There is no proof that Inquisitor Sofia is the one who hired that dark elf. While the motive is there, hey - a lot of people want the only owner of the Galentine mines dead! Inquisitor Sofia would never consort with dark elves. As for all the other accusations, you have no factual evidence. There are NO links between the Inquisitor and the assassination of King Nick Ashwood. Dean Ashwood was supposedly killed by "Inquisitorial Death Squads", but what sort of fool would send his own men so brazenly and openly to kill someone and then let himself be discovered? Someone else saw that the Inquisitor didn't like Dean Ashwood, got some men to pretend they were inquisitorial death squads(Hey, maybe he even bribed some real death squads), killed Dean Ashwood and let the Inquisitor take the blame.
Now let's reveal the situation, as far as we are 100% certain.

Inquisitor hires Hawthorne's men to kill James Ashwood. They fail and are killed by unknown assailants. Then a dark elf assassin kills James Ashwood.

Hawthorne was all right with sending his men to kill James Ashwood, but they failed. Then he, Hawthorne, hired a dark elf who succeeded in killing James Ashwood and then escaped. Hawthorne presents his dealings with the Inquisitor and also blames him of hiring the dark elf(which Hawthorne actually hired)! Such a perfect plot! Ashwood is dead and Hawthorne can seize the Galentine, while the Inquisitor gets all the blame!

You see judges, this entire case is a plot by the Hawthornes - now that they've removed the Ashwoods, they can blame the Inquisitor for it while taking the precious Galentine for themselves!

Alright, I have made my mind.

By Royal Decree, Madborn shall be the Baron of Sliverlake, to do with as he pleases. His only liege shall be the King. The Godric Clan shall have the City of Venice in recompense, and shall remain in control of of the Brewery, though he will pay his taxes for it, and payment for a new Brewery in Lakehold, which shall pay 30% of it's profits to the Kingdom.
Thus it was Decreed, and so it shall be.

>>
>>473768
Ok, ignoring everything there is at least conspiracy to commit murder, against a noble no less. The judges can decide the rest.

And to your accusations against the Hawthornes: what kind of moron do you assume the judges are? Honestly, your ignorance astounds me. Are you saying my family has spent 60 years fake researching? COULDN'T THERE BE BETTER THINGS I COULD DO?! Did my father die by killing himself? What kind of moron would do that? WHY WOULD I AND MY FATHER SPEND FUCKING YEARS SITTING AROUND FOR THIS?! FOR WHAT?! MY ARM, MY FINGER, MY FACE, LOOK AT MY DAMN FACE! For some metal? My father died for this, and for what? I could have just as easily married into the Ashwoods for metal, if it was how you stated.
>>
>>473791
Isn't Venice already Godric?
>>
>>473802
I traded Venice for Silverlake, before I knew Madborn were in it. So it got traded since we find out madborn lives in Silverlake.
>>
>>473822
James' death? It's beyond a reasonable doubt. Cassius, what would be the point of that entire set up? You say metals, but that relates to the arguments' I've already made. I could have gone through with marrying my daughter to James if I wanted them. Also, if you were going to accuse me you would have to set up your own trial, jackass.
>>
(Again, as Faultet)
You see, esteemed judges, now that he has been called out, the accuser lashes out in incoherent rage.
Here's what happened. The Ashwoods and the Inquisitors were competing for ownership of the Crater for many years and eventually the Ashwoods got the rights. At that point neither group knew if there was anything of use there.
The Ashwoods developed mining golems and over many years developed their Galentine mining operations. Before revealing it to the entire Kingdom, they had shared the existence of Galentine to a select few, among which were the Hawthornes. The Hawthornes, with no lands of their own, decided to use the conflict between the Inquisitors and the Ashwoods for their own gain - eliminate both sides then take the Galentite!
I express my honest sadness towards your personal losses, sir Hawthorne, but here are the facts:
The Inquisitors did not know about Galentite until most recently. The only thing you can proove is that Sofia ATTEMPTED to murder James Ashwood, by hiring YOUR men!
>>
>>473850
Well at least the way I see it.
Our clan supports the king.
Current and past kings deserve respect unless they acted directly against Roggar's benifit.
A threat to the crown is a threat to the kingdom. Our leaders will be treated with respect. We do not ask it, we demand it.
>>
>>473850
You are repeating your argument sir. You cannot provide a reasonable retort to my point about my father, and have resorted to the same few points.

Beyond a reasonable doubt, it is much more likely that I am right. For the investigations, I even kept logs in the King's Palace. That should disprove your attempts to dishonor my name.

>>

You claim that your father had been conducting research into the murder of King Nick Ashwood. However, there is no actual material evidence that you can provide of your father's supposed investigation! It was a tragedy that the tavern he was in was burned down - perhaps it was an accident, but if it wasn't, there's many people who'd be out to do it.

You see, Rory Hawthorne put out the appearance that he was investigating the murder of Nick Ashwood, when in reality he was the one behind it! What better way to cover your tracks?

>>473921
>>473926
Not one, not two, but three falsehoods in the other acccuser's claims!
There are no financial records of the sort you claim to have. Otherwise you'd have already presented them. You say that Finn's men rebuked Sofia and yet that is also false - Sofia hired them and sent them on a task and along the way someone else killed them!

Inquisitor Sofia attempted murder of James Ashwood - yes, undeniably, but with the use of Finn Hawthorne's men!

You see judges, the only tangible evidence here puts equal blame on the Inquisitor and sir Hawthorne. Everything else is circumstantial evidence and it's the words of one side against the other...I believe that if you will not find Inquisitor Sofia innocent of the false charges layed against her, only Trial by Combat may solve the matter.
>>
>>473913
Gobopolis has changed many times over the years, that which was started on the wreckage of a Ogre slave camp has evolved into a sprawling metropolis and capital of the Duchy of Gobopolis. A bastion against forces of chaos and destruction the Swift-Hands family has lead the duchy with honour and courage standing against those who would betray the faith and the kingdom. After the Second Horde War and the Rebellion of the Oathsworn which had heavy losses with their allies the demons sacrificing themselves to stall the horde and the courageous Knight of Mor upholding the faith to the last man. In recent the Duchy has withdrawn from courtly life and dedicated themselves to expansion of the Duchy and the construction of a great Temple of Mor to honour all lost in the war.

Still doesn't change the fact he died there. You have no motives for people to kill my father, unless you mean the inquisitor.
>>
>>473951
Before I Arrested Inquisitor on his counts of bloody murder, I asked him.some questions. I acquired financial records of his house, by his consent. I'd like to put forward the financial records for reading by the Judges. However, if the Hawthorns men were so reliable, why not use them twice, such as when he killed Dean? Another collection of evidence we have, is his paitran descent. He would know more about paitras cities, And lands more than us. He could send his death squad there with knowledge of shortcuts and escape routes.
>>
>>473968
And you have no evidence to support your claim either. It could have been anyone, your father's long dealings as Spymaster would've certainly left him with enemies.
>>
>>473973
And the most fervent of those enemies would be a zealot of religion? One who is ready to kill for his god at any moment given?
>>
>>473973
Actually, he basically got into power, the king died, the next king let him stay, and he just investigated that one case.
>>
>>473975
Perhaps like the Pontiff Pavredan, who the Inquisitor opposed?

>>473977
Either way, my case stands: you have no material evidence to suggest that Inquisitor Sofia stands behind any of the murders that actually took place. The only thing that you can proove is that you negotiated with the Inquisitor to have your men assassinate James Ashwood, which ultimately failed and we don't know who killed those men.
Everything else is circumstantial evidence.

Reinhard lean in close to the king and whistlers in the king ear "Long live the king."

>>
>>473983
Circumstantial? He wiped out an entire house of nobles! His grudge went so far as to genocide them. The Ashwoods acquisition of this, "mana metal", was a slight inquisitor couldn't take lightly. He knew that with the Ashwoods gone, he could move in and take the metal ore for himself, propelling himself into an unparalleled amount of financial security. This was all a plot of anger, greed and jealousy. Did the ancestor of Sofia, not betray the crown to deal with the traitorous daemons during the perilous time of our civil war? Treasons in their blood.
>>

Are we dealing with ancient history now? The Civil War had no right and wrong side, it only had losers, right where that big crater stands.

The grudge between the Inquisitors and Ashwoods was well known, but the existence of Galentine was something the Inquisitor didn't know of, but Hawthorne did!

Now you are just making up facts. Nobody knew if there was anything in the crater of value. Only after the Ashwoods acquired it and after years of their research was galentine discovered. And only many years after that did the Kingdom learn of Galentine and that's when the Inquisitor learned of it as well - she had no idea beforehand.

We, the judges, King Griff, Lord Trusted Advisor and Duke Gunnar, find the Inquisitor Sofia guilty of two cases of homicide. Respectively, the murder of Dean Ashwood and James Ashwood. This is a decision we have come to after hearing the evidence of both sides. The motive for the two murders have been found sufficient. And the fact that the Inquisitor even confirmed that he had attempted to hire people to kill Ashwood made our decision easier. The coins the Inquisitor payed with proves this.
The Hawthorne family will go down in history as seekers of justice, as their sacrifices have not been in vain. King Griff has decided, after hearing our council what the punishment will be for the accused. But we are still left with the regicide of Nick Ashwood.
>>
After much discussion we have found the case of regicide of King Nick Ashwood to be to complicated to pass judgement on at this current time. So on the count of regicide we find the Inquisitor Sofia innocent due to a lack of strong evidence, however we strongly recommend further investigation into the case so that the true culprit may be found and brought to justice. The king will now read out the justice that shall be served towards the guilty party...
>>
Inquisitor Sofia, you are deemed guilty of the murder of Dean and James Ashwood. As such, you will be sentenced to live out you life in chains beneath the stones of Dragonstomb, never to see the light of day for as long as you draw breath. Your holding will be given to the offending parties, Castil to the Ashwoods and Madrid to the Hawthornes. You are stripped of your titles, and your family is disgraced.

So it is Decreed, so it shall be.

The High Elves led an Alliance army to a great victory against the orcs, the Geddunal Alliance's first major engagement since its creation. They say the Alliance army is now marching straight towards Dominas, to reclaim the Holy City!

The battle was won thanks to the power of cavalry - the elves have shared with their allies(including us) one of the secrets of Ezdar - the stirrup, a a light frame or ring that holds the foot of a rider, attached to the saddle by a strap. This allows horse riders to have far more control over their mounts and to be able to use both hands for actual combat while mounted! Though few in nunmbers, the high elf heavy cavalry is what allowed for that victory to take place. We now also have access to these stirrups, which promise to change the way warfare works...

Sesion end for today, can barely keep my eyes open and I have work in the morning.

Dear, Honored Guest
You are invited to partake in the opening of the Grand Godric Brewery, the finishing touches were just finished and I would like you to come and taste some of this mead I just had made.

No more simple small stills giving the people of Roggar only a sip of alcohol. No more the grand lengths the king or the nobles has to go to get a drink of beer, mead, sake, or wine.

After my little mishap in with the town of Silver lake that was revolved to the King's wisdom and foresight, I'm not just be supplying the Kingdom with one Brewery but two.

So forget the days of just smoking swamp weed, forget the days of having to relay on manlets giving you wine. Forget the days of having to wait days on end for the small stills to give you a cup full of alcohol.

With the new Grand Brewery we will bring the Kingdom of Roggar into a new age, A age fulled with Beer, Mead, and sake, but that's not all with my bees as well, people will have candles to work through the night, honey of a sweet delight, and other uses of my bees that will help Roggar.

For this event the king will cut the ribbon, then you will get a tour of the place, but be warned the brewery is Godric baby, mess with it, you mess with the Godrics. After the tour and some tasting in my brewery we'll go back to the town center of Silver Lake or Madborn Temple if he allow us either or. Were we'll go down to business, and talk and set up trade deals, while having some nice relaxing honey, swampweed, mead, honey weed, anything you wish to partake it.

This will be a private event of course, bring only yourselves and a max of two guests of your choosing. But if one of your guest or you misbehaved you'll be kicked out. Even if it's the king, sorry if it was to come to this, but no one is above the law.

That's why I'm sending this letter to you, and not just you but everyone important enough to get a Godric letter, but that's not the only reason, my family may have come off as the sole cause of causing the civil war, but through the years and the many assassins that the Dark Elves put off, and the weird tomb that my Grand Grandpa leave behind I was able to put the pieces together, that the Dark Elves want to see our Kingdom fall, the use of my Grand Grandpa was the start of there plan. But come to the Silver lake and more will be reveal.

So this is not just to Opening Ceremony to my Grand Brewery, but also a way to formally apologize for any wrongdoing my family could have done. But let's forget about the past and toast to the future. A Toast To Roggar!

~Duke Reinhard, Kings guard of the King of the Godric Family. Swore protector of the Godric lands.

P.S For this event, the leaders if the factions who got this letter must come or they're barred from coming.

>>

While there is no set rule how a faction should act, you pick the way that you want to play a faction you can be a military, architecture, agricultural faction. When you pick you faction premise(what you want to do with it,what rave etc.) it has to be greenlight by bulgar and if it a faction outside the kingdom it has to be let in trough a vote. It's never too late to join.

"Hello to everyone that came, I have set up the most important events for this opening of my Brewery.
Firstly welcome to Silver lake briefly own by me, until legal matters came but the King resolved it, with his just and Wise rule. "

"Some history first is that Silver lake has now have a new Brewery to sell to the everyone in the Kingdom, be they Gob, Humans, Centaurs or another other thing."

"Don't mean my heavily armed army in the city, that's just to protest the king and other leaders from any wrong doing..." I said and my face turns into a smile.

"First the king will cut the ribbon. Here you go King, my sword you could use to cut the ribbon." I said handing the King my blade.

"Now if anyone have any questions please wait unil the King cut the ribbon as he is the guard of honor."

My son Knut Gunnarson will attend, I have naval business to attend to. For those that talk to Knut, he reminds you more of a stereotypical northerner. Much less compromising and diplomatic, a warrior at heart. Brute strength is a given. In comparison to his father who by northern standards is seen as soft.

Knut will come up to Finn and ask him why he is such a coward. Why didn't you exact revenge on the Inquisitor yourself. Real men don't need a trial!

The King then cuts the ribbon, and gives Reinhard back his sword.

I know what it's like to see a limb rot off, or have a finger cut away... It's much more satisfying to see the Inquisitor rot in chains legally than it is to grant her a quick death illegally. Even if I did, is that any better than what she did to the Ashwoods? Anyway, I'm too drunk for this.

"Now that the ribbon is cut. The Brewery is now open. Ready to sell the best alcohol the people of Roggar can handle."

Past the main gates and through the oak door, your noses are hit with alcohol of all types, bitter, or sweet, wood. Mead, Beer and Sake. You all can smell it as they want to be drink by you.

"This place make the most fine alcohol, be it beer from Erden fine wheat, Rake from Dragonfist rice fields, or Mead from my honey. It's to die for..."

"But that's not all this Brewery is set in a perfect location, that's why I work so hard that it was kept here. Due to the King fine job, it will now serve the kingdom, by them Human, Goblin, Centaur or other."

"You may ask how are the people doing in this town now this brewery is open? Well this Brewery allow most of them to have a job with stability and fine pay. With Bee Benefits."

I have some workers bring the guests a special mead, and each one is given a tall glass of mead.

"If you want to have a drinking contest, let's us first drink your first Mead in your life. Then once this tour is over we'll be back to mad born temple and talk from there. But for now, here is the special brew I had made for my friends and the king. Drink up. And a toast to the Kingdom of Roggar. May it live on forever." I said and toasted

Well, I guess I'll make a faction. (I'm mate888 on Discord btw)
Faction: House of Vasentius.
Fluff: Not many Paitrans remained in the lands of Vaesdeman once the Norsemen came. And they would have probably all died off were not for the coming of the Roggarian forces.
The men loyal to the Vasentius House, more closely releted to the clansmen of the Free Mountains than to the Paitrans at Dominas, are skilled with the horse, the javelin and the sword. They were the last to surrender to the Norse warlords and the first to recieve the Roggarians with open arms.
Assets:
Maurelius Vasentius
The villages of Azkerryth and Irryth (East of Vaesypolis, by the road)
Medium sized group of clansmen
Decently experienced mounted skirmishers

The king passed out but by the time we got to Mad born home, he woke up.

Now in Madborn home of battle mages. We go to the meeting room set up for the important things to talk about. I bring out copies of info I've been saving up and looking into. There in the room I have set up a map filled with strings pointing to things, only the people in the meeting will ever know. Now the things about to said will only be one discord, if anyone not here this is a secret.

Also drinks of all types have been given, and food was provided by Erden so help your self and enjoy. Trade deals will have to be on thread. Now let us began. Behind closed doors we talk.

The Alliance is making final preparations to retake the Holy City of Dominas. Near Archeport, the Alliance army is gathering - dwarves, high elves and paitrans from various states. Now we've been called to action, we must send forces as soon as possible, as it is currently summer and winter will be a bad time for war.

A.Send a smaller, more elite force
B.Send a medium-sized force, which would include most of our professional forces and a small amount of auxilaries
C.Take some time to raise levies for a grander army

By our current estimates, we'll be able to send 9 Legions(18 000 proffesionals). In those 18 000 there are:
2500 Roggarian Spears
2500 Roggarian Swords
2500 Roggarian Archers
2000 Roggarian Cavalry
2500 Goblin Soldiers
6000 Norse Warriors

Militias and levies that have been raised will mostly be used to fill the places of these troops in our garrisons.

9 Legions will be transferred to the east - we've had no battles since our recent military reforms, so their names are just the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Legion.

Each Legion is led by a Legate, under whom serve 20 Centurions, each a commander of 100 soldiers.

Because we chose to have no separation of troops by any quality, all 9 armies have roughly the same composition and quality of soldiers.
In the future we may make more reforms, but for now that's what we'll do.

The Dragonking of Roggar serves as Supreme Commander of our armed forces, but he may appoint his subjects to positions within the military hierarchy.

Will anybody request to be appointed a Legate or Centurion?

Legates would control a Legion of 2000 soldiers of various kinds, while Centurions command groups of a hundred, who will all belong to the same kind of soldiers.

You may put forward a request to either personally be given a position or one of your family members/champions/whatever.

The Ice Dragon Ledevlast, the same one that King Cassius Whitevayne V had once taken as an ally, lowers himself a bit.
"Aaahh, Roggar. I will enjoy my return there, my children will be able to partake in the varied food and worship of the locals. Yes, I know where we'll be going next now. Oh, as for you...freeze."
Casting an Ice spell of massive power, Ledevlast, leader of the Ice Dragons, destroys Dragonfist and Erden's ships.

Circling around, he flies towards the King's ship. There Maurelius Vasentius and the Trusted Adviser attempt to save the King, but it is all in vain, as they are all slaughtered by the magical blizzard and hail, their ships weighing down heavily and bringing them into the cold waters....

With his last breath, the legate of the 2nd legion gave the last centurion his mask and metal limbs, the flesh around them slowly decaying. "I didn't ask for this, and if you knew what fighting an Ice Dragon meant, you'd run."
The centurion shook his head. He had seen every one of his comrades pass before him, and if they meant anything to him, he knew he must stand here. Death was not the end, Mor would take him regardless of what happened here.
Finn's final action was breaking free the ice that had formed around Conaire's arm. Frozen solid, the move took his arm, but the creeping cold had prevented further damage.
With that, the Centurion moved on. If he was going to fight, they'd need him nowmore than ever. "For Roggar!" He cried, but that gnawing pit in his stomach reminded him of his friends too. No matter. He knew this fray would need no tears, just blood.

Gunnar, nearing the end of his life, is without an heir. With nothing left to lose he will head with the remaining northerners in Roggar to Gunnar's colony and try to rally the northerners to rise up against the dragon tyrants!

This is Gunnar's final hope to get revenge and bring honour to his family. Whether or not this desperate attempt is likely to succeed Gunnar is determined, but only time will tell if this is the end for the Gunnarson Clan.

Leonson Dragonfist has been crowned Dragonking of Roggar in 285.

According to the latest news, the Alliance forces advanced on the orcish positions and gained ground, but had to stop their advance before reaching Dominas because of the onset of winter.

Tell me if there's anything wrong with the map.

Discovering a deeper level in the gold mines, more wealth floods to Gobopolis as the city expands and a beautiful Temple of Mor is built, giving the city a Patron God. The mines still claim many casualties and Mor's disciples tend to the dead - there's always work for them in Gobopolis.

You've created the Order of the Dragon.
>>482194
The citizens rioted over the tax hike that was supposed to raise money for a citadel. In the end a few houses got burned down and nothing was built

An earthquake struck Trusted Defence, because of which a section of the fortress collapsed, killing a number of weapon researchers who were in the middle of work.

You've started developing a new system of organising croplands, based around manors - a landowner's residence, along with the housing of his workers and the other necessary facilities - could form a manor, which would be the center of production in the surrounding area. This idea can lead to more efficient large-scale production.

The Temple of Mor is Gobopolis dominates the sky line of the sprawling city. Financed and designed by Duke Duke Swift-Hands it was envisioned as a tribute to the demons of Nayte, the Knights of Mor and every other soul who fell in the Second Horde War. As one approaches the temple they are greeted by two massive gold statues which guard the door, on the right is a proud Knight of Mor standing tall Sword in hand and on the left a great demon of Nayte stands staff in one hand and book in the other. As you enter you open on a hall of which a great statue of Mor dominates the room judging all who enter.

The Goblins Priests of Mor live in ernest attempt to emulate the Knight of Mor and spread the faith and honor that they once carried themselves with. With this great temple Gobopolis truly stands as a bastion of the faith.

Our current system of Law Enforcement is based around the Lawkeepers - they are few in number, with a total population of over 1,1 million we have around 600 of them. Lawkeepers have senior military authority and may take command of up to one Century of soldiers, but only as it relates to internal security in our Kingdom.

A.Expand the Lawkeeper system - hire more of them, provide them with better facilities, have each of them be assigned a deputy so that they can have a partner at all times
B.Replace the system of Lawkeepers with a guard force for all settlements(Town Watch, City Guards) who will have their own facilities and will be defenders of our cities as well as enforcers of law and order

The Lawkeepers we have now will serve as the basis of the command structure of the newly formed Guardsmen and Watchmen(Guardsmen being on par in quality to professional soldiers, serving to protect the most important cities and locations, while Watchmen are more or less militia-level, protectors of the majority of settlements).
We've updated our laws accordingly.
