Looking for a journey through a strange land filled with monster girls and magic? Well, you came to the right place! This quest has an emphasis on world building, character-driven narrative, social interactions and combat.

Averagely I post from 6pm to ~10pm PST on weekdays and weekends are determined by my schedule.

Last time you talked to the the Dragon Lord Ryuga about the war in the land of Wa. Your friend Adrian started talking to a thunderbird named Raiko under Ryuga and you convinced him to hang out there to try and get him laid. You continued your travels to the demon lands where it seemed everyone wanted to fight you. That is until you defeated the young demon lord with incredible petting and head-pating skills. The young demon lord Shirabu decided that you were her older sister and since then you have acted as such. You decided to sort some things out at the demon castle and while doing so you discovered that Taka was spying on you. To throw her off you decided to adopt her as your younger sister as well. The only way to officially do so in the demon lands was via a blood ritual which you decided to follow through with. Despite the ritual, Taka continued to spy on you and after you confronted her again she told you that she worked for Shiromitsu the Kitsune Lord. As punishment, you are now keeping her on a short leash and had her perform another public blood ritual that required her to break all ties with Shiromitsu. You confronted a spy from the Snake Lord Kakuri and learned that there was a human sorceress under his employ which made you concerned. You decided that the war situation may be escalating and you needed to retrieve Adrian and then head to Kakuri as a full group. On your way back down you ran into Raiko who you managed to embarrass and arouse before going to see Ryuga once again. Now you are locked in conversation with Ryuga once more concerning the war and also Adrian.

“The time I spent wit the demon lord Shirabu was interesting if not enjoyable. Yes I did do a blood ritual with the kitsune to make her my little sister.” She looks almost disgusted as you speak. “Let me explain, I did it to test her loyalties and to be honest Lady Ryuga… as sentimental as it sounds my family died fairly recently and I wanted to remake it. The dragon queen laughs, “hahaha, if you wanted to remake a loving family those lying fur balls are the last place to start. I would have soon started with Shirabu herself!” You almost did, but that didn’t pertain to the topic at hand. “Lady Ryuga do you know anything pertaining to these blood rituals?” “Only that they are dangerous, demons have a tendency to make deals and bonds via blood, how they affect people can be interpretted in many ways, but the words spoken by the officiater tend to express clearly what is to happen. Or so I hear, as I have stayed far away from that nonsense.” That could be concerning, but you needed to push on. “Lady Ryuga, I have two final questions.” She remains silent and keeps her apprehensive eyes on yours. You look down as you ask, “How open would you be to talks with th other lords either individually or as a whole.” “Haha, I would love to talk peacefully but they refuse to aknolege me as the proper enheritor to the throne. If they would only see that submition was better than this fighting we wouldn’t have a war. Pride blinds the other lords from what is best. It is truly sad.” She says in a lull tone.” You still another question, “Do you know anything of the human sorceress in Kakuri’s employ?” The dragon lord perks up at this question, “Oh? I did not know of any sorceress, are they one of yours?” “Deffidently not, As far as we know we were the only humans on this plane. “Well minus that guy from back with the goblins, but he was still a mystery to you. “Interesting…” She waves her arms to some of her guards around her, “I am afriad I did not know of this, but I will look into it.” “Very well.”
>>
>>532754

Ohh you almost forgot, “Lady Ryuga we came here to pick up Adrian as well if that is alright.” “Yes, the young man… he has behaved himself well under our roof and Raiko has taken a particular liking to him. I think he is a little odd but he respects us as he should. He expressed his own wishes about leaving to meet up with you all but Raiko insisted that he stay here. If you wish to take him you will have to talk to her. I could tell her to deal with him leaving regardless but I do not dare to interfere with the heart of a young maiden.” Ryuga pauses, “Also… now might not be the best time to grab him.” “Why is that?” “Well….” all of a sudden you hear glass shattering and a large streak of lightning shooting out of a window from the palace. “Ohh it seems to have ended,” Ryuga comments, “But you would need to give the boy a day or so to recover. And after that, taking him away from Raiko may be almost impossible."

>If it's going to be hard to retrieve him now maybe we should do it after everything is said and done. Let's head to Kakuri without him.

We should bring Adrian with us. As terrible as it is to pull those two apart, having the whole party is a good idea. Also if we take Adrian with us he can go do cool things. Cool things to further impress Raiko.

“Lady Ryuga would it be too much to ask to stay under your care for a few days while we talk with Adrian and Raiko? If he will be unable to move for a while then it would be the best way to sort this out.” “Yes, it would… very well, I will not deny your simple request, but know that you will be guarded.” Understandable. “And you will leave that fox outside.” “But lord Ryuga! I must stay with her at all times to keep her from spying. Not to mention if we stay here and she stays out there she could have free reign to spy on your entire land. At least here you have hundreds of guards to ensure no ill will come to you.” “Hmmmm…” The dragon taps her finger on the arm of her chair. “Very well, but know that no every one of my guards will be alerted to you. You will not be able to blow your nose without my guards knowing about it.” “Y-Yes and thank you.” That is a bit drastic, but her disdain for kitsunes justifies it in a weird discriminatory way.

You bow and leave to tell your friends outside the news. “So we are staying here now? I suppose it is farther away from Kakuri but if you think it is worth waiting then so be it.” Anna mildly complains. “Don’t worry this should take only a couple days, and we can get Adrian back!” “Ok” As you head back into the palace you hear the “oohs and awws” since it was everyone's first time here. It was beautifully ornate with heavy inner workings of jade and dragon based imagery and symbolism. The guards looked almost like they were paintings that popped out for the scenes of valor portrayed on the walls murals. The guards escorted you all to a living quarters which already had 10 people stationed outside it. You look down to your sneaky younger sister and hope that she doesn’t give them further reason to increase security.
>>
>>533156

Once you all set up in your room you were able to sit down and discuss how to deal with the whole Adrian situation. “I think we should appeal to Raiko’s “coolness attraction.” you explain, “If we say that Adrian can do more cool stuff then she should let him go.” “Yes that may work but…” Aki responded, “If they did mate then he will be almost impossible to tear away from her, I do not know thunderbirds but generally “monster” women as you call them form strong bonds with their partners. Especially after intercourse.” The basilisk taps her index claws together nervously while turning a slight shade of red, “I uh… know from experience.” Rozalin adds,“yes but if that is the case then we can just ask her to come with us.”Yuki says, “Yes but Ryuga would never allow that, Raiko is likely the strongest fighter in her army taking her away from Ryuga will never happen.” “So then the only way to get him is to convince her or….” “Kill her,” Taka says plainly. “Yeah…” It was a grim option and likely you would only use it in the last case scenario but it was still an option.

Might as well take it easy today. “Sooooooooo Taka.” You sit abruptly next to your little sister. “Yeah?” “So did you send that notice to your old spy handler that you quit?” “Not quite yet, but I have it prepared right here.” She pulls out a note that is shrouded in the blue mist you remember from the first spy note of hers you read.” “Why does it have the illusion placed on it?” “Because I can’t send it without the illusion that wouldn’t make it authentic.” You stare her down, “Dispell it, right, now.” “Okay, okay,” She holds the note up and after a few seconds, the mists fades and you can clearly read the letter. “I Takakura hearby renounce all ties to Shiromitsu as a spy. I have been adopted and will be cared for by my new Onee-chan. I am sorry for the inconcinece and we will probably never see eachother again.” Was what the note read. “Happy now?” she asks. “More like satisfied," you respond.

A grin forms in your mind as you get another great idea. “But there is one other thing you can satisfy.” You make quick hand signals behind Taka’s back as she reapplies the illusion spell. “What? Ahhhh!! Out of Taka’s blind side came a mountain of clothes. Blouses, shirts, jeans, skirts, jackets you name it fell onto the kitsune. “No please!” she cried as the torrent continued to flow. The downpour did stop but what came after it was far more terrifying... the downpour’s origin. “Alright so for now you will work your way out of this pile while choosing your outfit for tomorrow!” Yuki yelled into the pile. Muffled you year Taka responds “THATS RIDICULOUS!” It sounded like a whisper, but you could tell she was screaming. “This is a test of fashion sense! You have a year to learn so you will begin immediately but designing your adequate outfit in high-pressure situations! “BUT!” “No buts! This is a valuable life skill! Just imagine: you wake up 15 minutes late for school or worse your date and you don't have time to sort through your hundreds of outfits for the perfect one and had to choose one seemingly at random.” “THAT’S WHAT I AM DOING!” “NAIVE!” Yuki yelled into the pile. “What you think is random should and WILL be fashion instinct! You cannot rely on randomness for the perfect outfit. With only minutes to spare you should be able to come up with a solution that fits the location and activity! With this skill will save you from fashion embarrassment for the rest of your life!” “I AM NEVER EMBARRASSED ABOUT-” “NAIVE!” she smacked the pile. “Just because you refuse to acknowledge your own short sightedness does not mean I will allow you to suffer further! From today onward I will present you with three outfits in the morning. You will not be able to wear any one outfit, but mix them into one perfect outfit.” “ARE YOU CRAZY!” “you will need to use all your knowledge of the coming day to prepare your look effectively. I know you will not disappoint me by the end of this year.” “ONEE-CHAN, ONEE-CHAN! MAKE HER STOP HER NONSENSE!” “I can’t Taka… even if I did, no one can stop Yuki when she is like this.

The rest of the night you hear Taka whimper as she is subjected to Yuki’s fashionista persona. Yuki overall treats Taka like she treats anyone as she is just too kind a person to not care for people. But when the other Yuki emerges Taka bears the full brunt of the damage.

You should get a bit of sleep, though. And you head to bed for the night. The lord dragons beds were the stuff of legend, soft, supportive, and it felt like the blankets were coiling themselves around you. The pillows were phenomenal! Not only did they hold your head in a warm embrace but also you could feel it tickly your ear. Wait a minute. You slowly open your eyes to find that what you thought was the best bed in the world was Aki who wrapped herself around you while you slept was not teasing and nibbling on your ear. “A-Aki you... we shouldn’t…” “Sorry,” the basilisk says unapologetically, “But I haven’t had you for a while by myself and…” Her tongue moves from your ear to your neck and she begins to kiss it. “...and I got a little worked up.” She says drooling over your neck. “I can see that, but everyone else is sleeping in the same room!” you whispered. “So be quiet then…” *mmfffm* *hhhmmh* mmnnn* she moans as she works her way around your neck. Your trying really had not to enjoy this and calm her down, but your body is slowly betraying you. “Ahhh…” you accidently let out a small moan and immediately move your hand over your mouth. “Hehe, It seems you do really want this..” Aki teases as she presses her lips to yours. *mmhhm* *mnnhm* *hhmmm* she moans in the time she takes to breathe. Your emotions overtake you as your arms move almost by themselves and wrap around the basilisks neck. You pull her into you as a night of passion began……

That next morning you were a complete mess. Aki kept you from getting hours of sleep not to mention the numerous marks her kisses had left over your body. You needed to hurry to the bath immediately before anyone else woke up.

You made your way int the bath safe, “Whew, that would have been bad if people saw like this.” “Like what dear?” “Ahh!” you dive into the water as Rozalin sits across from your sharing the bath. ‘“I-I didn’t think anyone was in here, Sorry..” You said while trying to hide your shame as best you could in the water. “No need to be ashamed dear, It isn’t anything I haven seen before. Though you really should get some cover up for that. It was no more apparent than before that your upper torso and higher were covered in hickeys. “Ahhhhh!” you yelled at the realization but Rozalin calmed you, “Now now, don’t worry about it I can help you.” “You can?” “Yes, I just need to use some of my magic on you.”

>Every time you use your magic on me I go lust crazy, no!

You're reminded of all the times Rozalin's “magic” messed with your head and drove you crazy with lust for her. “Sorry Rozalin, no way am I going to let you use that again on me.” “Truly? I did promise not to do that again, but if you wish to remain like that it is your decision. You might want to wear incredibly concealing clothes for the next few days.” Advice taken. You’ll just have to steal some from Yuki’s pile. You had hoped that taking a bath would help and although you feel better the marks did not fade but in fact become more apparent as they contrasted your clean skin. “Shit” You sneak over to the Pile Yuki had left and dived in. picking and pulling until you found the familiar baggy pants. The hard party was finding a turtleneck. As you pick and pull you grab some cloth that feels harder than most and longer in fact. Maybe it was the item you were looking for. Or maybe it was “Taka?!” you say as you pull the still sleeping kitsune by her leg from the pile. This leaves you with some questions but you can’t be bothered with that now. You set her off to the side while you find your clothes. It took a bit of elbow grease but you got what you came for. And now fully dressed for the day you sat there on top of the pile relieved of your accomplishments when you think about how what to try and accomplish today.

You should spend some time today with Taka, Yuki was maybe a bit too hard on her yesterday with the whole drill sergeant routine and all. “When you get up you decide to wake up Taka.” “Hey you okay?” She slowly wakes up “O…. Onee-chan? Onee-chan!” She jumps into your arms with what little energy she had. “Onee-chan I’m sorry, I’m so so so sorry. Please!” “Calm down,” you say softly patting her on the head. “Onee-chan,” She nuzzles into your arms. Wow, seems like you may have given Yuki a little too much free reign and she went all out. “I’ll tell her to tone it down but you now understand why it happened right? “Yeah…” She says lightly.

You get an idea, “Say, Taka, wanna spend today just us? We can explore some of the nearby towns if you want.” “I’m not so sure, they hate me here and I don’t think going anywhere would make that any better.” “Nonsense” you puff out your chest, “They won’t do anything since I am there, just let your big sister take care of it.” “Really?” “Really.” “Okay.” “Alright, then we’ll head out now!” “Now?!” “You grab her hand and make for the door. When you open it you are greeted by the same 10 guards stationed there earlier. They do not impede you but they serve as a grim reminder of what could happen. “Hold onto my hand, for now, Taka.” The kitsune nods.

When you get outside you now have to think of what to do with Taka that will sure to brighten up her day, and get you two closer.

It might be time to get to know each other a bit better. “Let's start by just getting some food.” “Ohh Ohh can I pick?!” Taka asks. She is more local than you are even if you were both foreigners to this specific part of Wa. “Sure.” “Alright Okonomiyaki here we come!” she announces pumping her fist in the air. “Onward to… that!” you point in a direction. It took some time and you got many gross looks from the locals as no only were you with a kitsune but said kitsune was leading you. When you got to the actual restaurant you resumed the role of leader. The first attendant you met was a bit rude but you were able to smooth them over with some of your smooth talking which had them at least look indifferent instead of disgusted at Taka. Once you ordered your food though it seemed like most worries Taka had vanished as she eagerly awaited her meal.

While you were waiting you figure it would be a good time to start. “So Taka, I’m sorry I put you through all of those things but maybe once you hear what I have to say you may in some way be able to understand.” She senses the tenser atmosphere you just created and awaited your tale. You lower your gaze to your clasped hands in front of you. “Where to begin… A few months ago I was kidnapped, well actually Anna, Yuki, Victoria, Adrian and I were all kidnapped by a vampire after they killed our parents. My older sister went missing but is also likely dead. Some of us like Yuki saw their parents as they died.” the thumbs on your hands pressed into the opposite hand as you speak. “Since then we have traveled this land trying to figure out… well, everything. I have killed many people, and I have seen things you likely couldn’t even imagine. Horrific death and destruction, crazed animals tearing at each other, slavery and the slow breaking of my own body. It wasn’t all bad, though, I was able to meet nice people like Aki, Rozalin, Nessera and her daughter, and of course you. After meeting and getting to know these people, while knowing the dangers that we face every day I became paranoid. m y mind runs with what-ifs instead of what is. That is why when I found out you were a spy I reacted the way I did. Drastic? Yes, but I also think there is some innate desire of mine that wants a family again. Your hands shake a bit as you think about it.

Taka looks down solemnly. “Sounds rough Onee-chan, I can see now why you acted the way you did, but what’s so special about me? Shirabu fell in love with you at your first meeting but we had only been just acquaintances until then. Why did you want to adopt me other than just wanting to have a family member?" Taka picks her head up and looks you in the eyes, "Am I just a replacement for your parents and sister Onee-chan?”

>Write in
>>
>>533642
Your not a replacement. Or maybe you are. I don't know. With all that has been happening I really haven't had time to process all of this. You just reminded me of my sister and well, things escalated from there. Now I just want to get to know you better. So I can think of you as Taka my sister and not just Taka or My sister. Combine the two aspects.

On why not Shirabu. Mainly because of the whole political climate here. I do like Shirabu, Even with the murderousness. She is a like a sister to me. But because of everything and not having all the info I can't commit to her.
>>
>>533642
"No... is just... you looked so sad and lonely. And honesty you were pathetic as a spy, first thing you did when we arrived at this city together for the first time was to mention that you had visited it with your lord. The problem of saying that was, there was no way a mere street urchin would have been taken in a diplomatic mision of such importance. And even if I asumed you once had important parents, no parent would take their child into a hostile territory during negotiations. That was when I just KNEW you were eighter a spy or the Kitsune Lord daughter. Or even the kitsune lord itself. When you accepted the adoption I knew your parents couldn't be alive so you could not be his daughter. And when you acepted the blood ritual I knew you weren't the Kitsune Lord as having me adopt you as the oldest sibling would have put you at disavantage is that was the case. And the true reason I adopted you was not to figure out who you were but because I saw in you the same loneliness I see in myself since I lost my parents. You want and need and family even if you won't admit it to yourself."

When you finish your words you try to look Taka in the eye but as you spoke her head slowly fell. She spoke softly, "Don't talk to me... like you know me." "No, Taka, I was just trying to express why I thought-" She slams her fists into the table. "Don't talk to me like you know me! You don't know me! *bang* "You're just like him! Agghhh!" She bangs her fists on the table repeatedly as tears start to form in her eyes. The rest of the restaurant patrons are beginning to stare and the staff seems to be growing increasingly concerned. You wave over an attendant, "Sorry sir, but could you please make our orders to go?" The man nods and darts back to the kitchen. You try to grab Taka's hand to calm her down but she throws your arm away, "NO!" "Taka..." She looks at you with tears running down her face as she grimaces and darts away from the table, out of the restaurant, and into the town. "Taka!" you yell to her as she flashes by. "Madam we prepared your to go boxes. " The attendant said as he was walking toward your seat. You met him halfway as you were sprinting after the small kitsune. You grabbed the food, "Thanks, and I am terribly sorry!"

Outside the restaurant was a fairly busy town street. people were a plenty but of course, the one you want is nowhere to be seen. A small girl was emotional and potentially lost in a town full of people who hate her mere existence. This wasn't good.

“Shit!” You needed to find Taka fast but searching by yourself could prove difficult and you don’t expect a town for a people who discriminate against kitsunes to help all too much. Food in hand you sprint back to the palace to grab your friends, minus Adrian to help you search for the young girl. The guards stop you but since you didn’t have Taka they were a little less cautious and let you through fairly easily. You burst into your room, “Guys! Taka is missing and we need to find her now!” “What happened?” Anna asked. “A lot of things, we were talking when all of a sudden she got upset and ran away. Point is, she is in a town who hates her kind by herself and we need to find her.” Victoria leans back in her chair, crossed her legs and scoffs, “Kid’s a spy right? Let her get roughed up. It’ll build character.” “But if she is still spying then she could be leaking info” Nessera comments. “Your right!” Anna jumps from her seat and readies her two swords. “Woah guys! Let’s just find her first.” You try to calm down your friends, but at least they are in agreement that you need to find Taka.

You all leave in a hurry back to the town. It had been maybe 30 minutes or an hour since she ran away but you doubt she would run out of the town. “Alright everyone split up and search! With all of us, it shouldn’t take too long to find her.” As you head out start to notice an odd sharp pain in the back of your hand. You must have hit it on something while turning a corner. You were moving rather frantically after all.

You scoured up and down with your friends for almost 15 minutes and so far there was no sight of the small kitsune. As you kept running you must have slowly paid less attention to your immediate surroundings since you were getting pains in your arms and legs. “Damn it!” you say under your breath as your search continues. Suddenly you feel a huge pain and pressure in your stomach. “What?!” you kneel down and hold your abdomen when you hear in a nearby alley a girl crying out in pain. “Ahh!” “Filthy fox ear, thinking you can try to steal our money!” an adolescent male voice yelled. “Taka!” Clutching your stomach you stand up and run over to the alleyway where you see Taka being ganged up on by three boys. One of them punches Taka in the face. And the girl falls back into the alley wall. It was at the same time that you received a small pain in your own face.

One of the boys notice you, “Hey what do you want!” he yells, “For you to stop!” The water you were moving unloads onto the assailants. It was only a flask full of water but it hit them like a 3 buckets worth. The force of the wave was strong enough to even knock them off their feets. “Shit!” one of the now soaked boys yell as he and the others run off. You do a slow breath to relax you before running over to Taka. “Taka! Are you alright what happened.” The girl's face and most of her body was bruised, her clothes were torn, and here eyes were still swollen from when she cried. “Onee-chan…” the kitsune weakly said as she raised her head to meet you. You grab her, “It’s okay, I got you.” you pick her up to carry her and begin to walk back to the center of town where you and your friends agreed to meet up. Enroute Taka whispers to you, “Onee-chan… I’m...sorry…” It’s okay I am just glad you are alright.”

When you head back to the center of town you see Yuki and Serena and they wave to you. You tell them, “Gather everyone else and head back to the palace, I’ll take her there immediately.” “Okay.” They split off to find the others as you head back. Your walk back was arguably more concerning than when you first sprinted here. You were worried not only about Taka’s well-being but her emotional state. You also did not know what she meant when she initially freaked out at the restaurant. You thought it all over but ultimately you weren’t going to know until she gets up. When you get back you set Taka up in bed after make sure she was alright. You waited by her side till your friends returned.

After some time you hear a knock on the door, “How is she doing?” Yuki asks as she walks in and sits down on the opposite side of Taka. “She seems alright, just tired.” “I bet…” Yuki places her hands over Taka and the warm glow envelopes the kitsune. “She didn’t seem severely injured but if she was she is diffidently fine now.” “Thanks, Yuki.”

You don’t know how long it may take for Taka to get up maybe you have some time to do something.

“Yuki, thank you but… I think Taka and I need to talk alone for a bit. Could you just check me for injuries before you leave just in case?” “Alright... “ she gets up and walks over. “Where are you hurt?” “Well, I am pretty sure I banged my arms and legs while searching, also I felt something in my face.” “Hmmmm…” Yuki examines all the areas and after a few minutes says, “There isn’t anything there, no cuts, no bruises, nothing.” “But I was sure that there was a sharp pain in my arms and legs, and at one point it felt like I was punched in the stomach.” She checks it out. “Nope, nothing” “But…” You knew you were in pain, could it all just be internal? “Yuki would you mind healing me just in case?” “Uh.. sure..” She puts her arms to your back your body glows familiarly yellow. “There.” “Thanks, Yuki, tell the others to hang out in the castle while I wait for Taka.” “Okay, but do me a favor.” “Yeah?” Yuki hugs you from behind. “Don’t push yourself like you always do. “I won’t Yuki, I promised, remember?” “hehe, good” She kisses your cheek before heading out of the room.

Now all you had was time to wait and stew. She ran away because of what you said to her. “Doesn’t that mean this was my fault.” “Yes, it does..” “?” You feel a dark hand reach past the side of your face and caress your face. “You’re the one that causes others pain..” You feel another shadow reach and grab your opposite shoulder. “No!” you shout in your mind as the shadows vanish. “Haa, haaa,” you breathe heavily for a few seconds. “I can’t afford to think like that…”

Instead of thinking too hard about it, you did minor practices with your water magic to keep your mind off things. After a few hours, Taka’s eyes slowly opened. “Mmhhm, Onee-chan?” she says as she turns her head to face you.” “Taka! Are you alright?” “I’ve been better.” “Yuki healed you so you should be alright, but let me know if you want anything. Something to eat maybe? We never did eat our Okonaki-whatcha call it.” “heh, true.” It was cold, but you were glad you asked for those to go boxes. “Alright let’s get you set up.” You helped Taka sit up and you prepared to even help her eat if her arms were too sore.

Taka slowly looked over herself, her surroundings and at finally at you. “Onee-chan.” “Yes?” “D-Do you really care about me that much?”

Of course, I do! I try to not lie if possible. I do care a lot of about you, you are my little sister after all.” You readied a bit of her meal and placed the food in front of her. She blushes and opens her mouth for you to feed her. “Onee-chan…” she chokes out after swallowing. A single tear falls from the side of her face before she wipes her eyes. “Onee-chan… we need to talk.” Hopefully this time will go better than the last. “You told me about your past so I guess I should start with mine.” You nod in confirmation and she takes a deep breath.

“I was born in Shirokami as you could imagine. I don’t know who my parents are/were but they dumped me off in foster care. Ever since I remember I spent more time outside than I can imagine, I did what I wanted when I wanted but was still subjected to rules and the like. I hated it and fought will all I could. I found a knack for getting into trouble and getting out of it eventually. Some of the local thugs started to have me run stuff for them which was fine for a while until the guards caught us and threw them in jail.” “Them?” “Yeah they decided that I could be of use to them somehow and put me to work doing the same thing but officially you know? Running info, items, rumors, everything. Then they had me running stuff to them and they thought I was pretty good at it. I even managed to find a Kakuri spy and deliver them directly into the guard's hands at one point. Though I guess I always had a knack for being a bit blunt and letting small things slip by and because of this they treated me as an expendable asset.”

After that, the kitsune tensed up digs her fingers into the blanket and again breathes a heavy breath. “Is something wrong Taka,” “It was around that time met him.” “him?” “Onee-chan, I-I…” she seemed to be fighting herself over this coming sentence. “I don’t work for Shiromitsu…” “You don’t?!” “No. When I was working for Shiromitsu’s goons I failed a mission. Dragonkin caught me trying to infiltrate the inner lands. Shiromitsu’s people left me to rot but when I was to be executed my captors were suddenly dead on the ground. There were no signs of causes of death but I could tell that they all died. It was then that I noticed a large figure standing over me. He was wearing a cloak that completely concealed his face. He spoke to me in a deep voice, 'Taka, you are a lonely kitsune who now owes me her life. You lived on the streets before and people used you for their own ends, so now you will work for me.' He broke my chain bonds with almost no effort. 'You will continue on as a spy but you will not be tied down to anyone but me, and I will make sure you are happy.' His hand came to caress my face, and I believed him.” Taka touches her face as if to remember the moment perfectly. She then looks down at her hand that touched her face and continued, “It’s strange, to this day I don’t understand it, but that moment when he was with me, everything he said I felt was right. I trusted him completely despite just meeting him and would do anything for him. That moment with him was without question the happiest I had ever felt to that point. He told me that 5 humans would come to the island and when that happens he told me to follow and document the leader, which is you.” There is almost a bit too much to process, “Who is he? What is his name?” “I asked the same thing, but he told me that… he didn’t have a name. Regardless, I pledged myself to him, he was my lord, or some may say, my master."

This. We don’t want our little sister head to explode if we adk her the wrong questions.
>>
>>536392
I don't think she is cursed. Also Baga Yaga is fucking far away and we still have this whole island to deal with.
>>
>>536401
Screw the island. Our little sister comes first.
>>
>>536404
Comes first how? What curse are we going to remove from her? She is emotionally distressed not cursed.
>>
>>536401
And you know that how? We got cursed and we don't even work for him. The globins heads exploded and they were basically his slaves.

Do you want us to face that sorcerer only for her to hold us hostage by using Taka?
>>
>>536407
Under that logic everyone is cursed. There is nothing here that says curse. She is tense. That doesn't mean curse that means bad memories. Really what here says curse?

Furthermore how do you know the sorcerer is the person in the cloak?
>>
>>536411
We know the sorcerer most likely works for him at least. Also our own curse is getting worse before we just saw voices now we see things. We have to get it removed.
>>
>>536416
Agreed. The curse we got thanks to that darn orb quest is getting worse. Time to get it removed.
>>
>>536416
We know nothing about the sorcerer other than they work of Kakuri.

And for our curse. We tried to get it lifted. We can't yet. Don't remember the exact words need to check the archive.

Furthermore the question was about curse with Taka. Nothing here says she is cursed. Going to Yaga to cure nothing is a waste of time and detracts from a quest we have detracted from multiple times.
>>
>>536417
So how about...

>Hug Taka
>"I think we should go to visit a certain witch... she might be the only one powerful enough to lift whatever curse he put in you. I mean your head did not explode but better not take risks. Also my own curse is getting worse..."
>Go visit Baba Yaga as soon as possible.
>>
>>536420
Again what curse are you talking about. Please explain to me what Curse Taka has.
>>
>>536420
That works.

Also Apple this is the voice seeing things curse, not the aging curse.

If it keeps getting worse we will start to hallucinate in the middle of fights and that will get us killed.
>>
>>536427
Yes. That is the Curse we have. You keep mentioning a Curse Taka has. You want to got to Yaga to heal Taka and us. But Taka doesn't have a curse. Only we do.
>>
>>536422
So fat all the minions of that man eighter had a curse or were scared of him, or both. The goblin heads exploted. We got a curse just by going to that damn mountain to get the sun orb and Taka just getting free of him because we adopted her seems too easy.

Also even if Taka is clean, the sering and hearing things curse is getting worse.
>>
>>536440
Ok yes. People who interact with the Man of the Accursed lands are cursed.

But there is nothing here that says the cloaked man is the Man of the Accursed Lands. Yes he has interest in us. But a lot of people have interest in us. We are starting to become a big deal.

Yes the curse is getting worse. But as Mother said the way we combat it is with mental fortitude. Something we need to work on. We don't need to take a massive side quest, that might not even work. We have a quest we are doing now. A quest we have been doing for a while and need to finish. After we finish up here then we can go see Yaga about the curse.
>>
>>536449
Also even if we plan on going to Yaga, which we shouldn't right now finish the island and all, we should ask our party first. Stop taking on everything by ourselves. Get consultation from the rest of the group.
>>
You felt something come over you and without warning you hug Taka as hard as you could and say ” “It’s okay.” “Onee-chan?” “It’s okay now Taka, we’ll take care of you now. We won’t force you to work for us. I just want you to be happy, and for you to do what you want, not what other people tell you to do.” “Taka returns the hug. “Onee-chan I’m scared..” “Why?” “That sorceress works for him too, She said that if I betrayed him he’d kill me if she didn’t.” “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen.”

This revelation might change your thoughts on the island.

We can always let her keep "documenting" us. Hell she might get a headpat from the master for getting so close to us. It isn't like we are a particularly secretive group anyway.

Agreed, no kidnapping our little sister.

I want to see what the misterious Kitsune Lord has to say about this. Is one thing to recluit a young Kitsune as a spy, another to not train her and leave her to die.

It could be that the Lord hust wasn't aware or he is a puppet figure or something.

Taka buries her head into your chest as you contemplate what to do from here. You’ll diffidently stay on this island but maybe you should have Nessera and Serena look after Taka for her safety. From what you know, if this man she talks about is “The Master” then usually his servants die if they betray his wishes. Taka was able to tell you all this without issue but that doesn’t mean she is cursed in some way. Also after dealing with Adrian and Raiko you should head back to Shiromitsu and talk with the mysterious kitsune lord. To recruit such a young girl as a spy, never train her and then leave her for dead is fishy. Though he is said to enjoy playing games. Perhaps Taka was just a game to him. You shake your head at the thought because it is just too sad. “It’s okay Taka, we’ll take care of this one way or another.” “Alright…” She seems reasonably hesitant.

There was time left in the day if you wanted to try to sort out other situations. You’re starting to get a bad feeling about this war, especially if the Masters’s agents are involved.

You should spend some time relaxing with Taka to help the two of you get your mind off things, You open up your vial and bring the water into the air. “Onee-chan, what are you doing?” “Ohh this?” You swish around the water and start to form it into shapes that ebb and flow into each other. “This just relaxes me when I am feeling tense.” Taka watches closely as you continue your practice, “It’s so, pretty.” “Would you like the learn?” “Can I even?” “Perhaps, you can do illusions right?” “Well yeah but those aren’t the same.” “You do not know for sure, I learned the magic thanks to a mermaid, but if I who did not know magic existed for their entire life could learn, I think you can too. Should we give it a shot?” “Alright.” You grab a small cup and fill it with water. “Now the first thing you should do is place your hands in the direction of the water and calm yourself, deep breaths” You demonstrate and have Taka mimic. “Now think of flowing water, how it runs, moves its sounds, all of it while projecting mana to your hands.” Taka starts to think and her hands begin to move in a soft slow wave like motions over the glass.

Now might be a good time to enact another part of your plan for tonight. “Just one moment Taka.” You get up and walk outside the room to find Nessera and her daughter. “Nessera,.” She glances your way. “We have found out that Taka is working for someone more dangerous than Shiromitsu.” “Oh?” “Right now I am pretty sure it the the No-Named Man from the Accursed lands.” Nessera nods in contempt, “So you wish her eliminated then and asked me to do so discreetly, got it.” “No no no no!” You shake your hands vigorously. “No, she regrets what she did and is terrified of the repercussions of betraying him. Since is the case I was hoping you and Serena would watch over her.” “That is...understandable” the demoness admits, “but if she shows signs of betrayal do I have permission to kill?” “You have permission to restrain.” She sighs, “Very well then.” “Oh, also you two are talking to her now.” “W-We are?” You grab the demoness and Serena’s hand and march back into the room. “Alright Serena, you know Taka, but you will be with her for a while so you should play nice okay?” “Okay!” she eagerly says as she proceeds to jump onto the kitsune in bed. “Offf” “Taka! Taka!” the imp called as she bounced up and down. Looking at her she acted like a smaller version of Shirabu, and if they were any similar than they should get along relatively well. They were already playing patty-cake. Now that is some serious friendship development for only a few minutes. At least it was for you back when you were that age.

Nessera just looked on at the display and remained silent as usual. You have to get behind her and push her to Taka’s bedside to encourage her to talk. Begrudgingly she spoke, “Potential traitor, you are hereby under my supervision.” Oh no. You rush up behind her and cover the demon’s mouth. “Mmmhhn?!” “What she means to say is that She and her daughter will be making sure you are okay when I can’t. They can turn invisible and invisible bodyguards come in handy.” “Pleasure to work with you,” Taka nonchalantly said as she extended her hand. Nessera narrowed her eyes and met Taka’s hand with her own, “Likewise.” You can only hope this relationship improves, but at least Taka will be safer.
>>
>>541555

That night was a tense evening that slowly eased as it progressed. Once Nessera was convinced Taka wasn’t some quadruple agent their conversation became more than just three word sentences. Yout sat next to Taka the entire night to make sure she was fine. She insisted she was, but after what happened today you weren’t so convinced of that. Despite this, it was time spent with semi-pleasant company. As time when on the rest of your friends returned to the room where you told all of them about what Taka told you. “So this asshole is back again…” Victoria said annoyingly. Aki added, “Yes and if this is the case we should be incredibly cautious, If Kakuri has one of his agents working for him it can’t be good.” “No it can’t, but I want everyone, for now, to focus on here with Adrian, then we will head to Shiromitsu and find out where things will go from there.” Anna is a little surprised, “Really? I say we head up and take on Kakuri before he can get the jump on us.” “Sorry Anna, for now, we need more info.” “Info info info!” Victoria through her arms in the air, in frustration. I say it is time we make our decision. We have been here for two weeks already because you wanted to spend time with your sisters. “If that sorceress bitch is working for that asshole then we don’t have time, she MUST be up to something. You agreed that she has to be doing something but for now, you shake your head. “We’ll talk about this after we deal with Adrian and Raiko. Anna shrugs, “Whatever.”

Your party is growing restless it seems, but for now, you should think about tomorrow and your talks with the lovebirds.

When you awaken that morning you were next to Taka. She said she was alright, but you insisted and after that, she didn’t object. But today was not the day to worry more about your sister, at least not right now. You had to deal with a bigger fish, or bird you should say. Once prepared in the morning you ask the guards where you could find Raiko’s room. They tell you where but they warn you that she recently doesn’t like to be bothered as of late. Wonderful.

“When you find the thunderbirds dwellings you knock on the door. “Lady Raiko we wish an audience with you.” No answer. You knock harder. “I am afriad I must insist! Could you please answer the-” “I GOT IT!” you hear her fire back through the wall. You heard some shuffling and finally the woman in question answered the door. “Yeah? What do you want?” she asked clearly annoyed. It looked like she just woke up, her hair was a mess, she was rubbing her eyes and. Oh god.... She was draped in blue velvet cloth, but it was clear that she only just through it on before answering the door and thus was staunchly naked. The cloth did absolutely nothing to hide her figure, but you focus all of your attention on Raiko’s face to keep your eyes from wandering when you spoke, “I-I was hoping we could talk to you and our friend Adrian.” “Ehh? Well, he ain’t up yet.” “I can wait.” “The thunderbird sighs. Fine, give me a minute.” She closes the door and through the cracks, you se a flash of light and then you hear a loud yelp. “Ahhhh! Raiko please, it was almost all day yesterday just give me some time to- “ “You friends are here.” “Really?” You hear some more shuffling of items Adrian, this time, opens the door with hastily thrown clothes on, “Well it's nice ot see you again.” You look him up and down, “So… how have you been?” “Alright, I guess Ryuga is nice to men and Raiko is great. So far nothing dangerous has happened though sometimes she takes me to the frield with her where we fight over who can do the cooler stuff.” He hangs his head, “She usually wins.” “All things considered Adrian I think it worked out wonderfully for you, but where di Raiko go?” “Yeah thanks, Raiko went ot get changed.” After answering the door naked? “Alright, then could I come in?” “Sure,” Adrian walked you into one mess of a room. Things were lying everywhere. It was almost as if a tornado had come through that room. Furniture as toppled, clothing was spread to every corner. The only thing that looked in place was a couch and bed, but both of these were messess of sheeting and blankets.” Adrian notices your flabbergast at the room’s condition. “It isn’t usually like this, but recently Raiko has been, excited.” He blushes and you do the same. You can understand since you both recently experienced the same thing, but his time seems far more, destructive. What you can assume was once a window was a boarded up mess at the moment.
>>
>>541742

You had to wait for Raiko to return but you ask Adrian in the meantime, “So do you want to come back with us?” “Yeah, but I kind of want Raiko to come too. I mean you’ve seen how strong she is? She could be a great asset.” “Yeah she could, but she is pledged to Ryuga, taking her away from here would not stand with the dragon lord.” “Then what if we help the dragon lord win the war? Then Ryuga wouldn’t need Raiko and we could take her.” “The issue is, complicated to say the least.” You still haven’t figured that out yet, you were the demon lords older sister and now Adrian thinks you could fight for Ryuga. “Well, do you think Raiko would let you leave otherwise?” He thinks for a moment, “Not at all. She has been attached to me for almost 3 days. She even refused a mission to spend more time with me.” “Wow,” but if she was blowing off Ryuga for him maybe you can convince her of something yet.

After that thought, Raiko flew back into the room dressed and latched herself onto Adrian's arm as if to claim him. “So what is this about?” “Well, I was wondering if Adrian wished to rejoin us as things are getting a bit more serious here and we want everyone together.” “Well, you are all together now.” “Yes, but we also need to leave and we want him to come with us.” She looks up to the boy, “No, he isn’t going anywhere.” she brushes up against his side to gain a bit of “leverage” in the conversation. Adrian blushes slightly and his eyes tell you “I told you.”

How are we going to try and convince Raiko to let her man go?

"So... how long until you start laying eggs?"
>>

Raiko I know you don't want Adrian to go and we shall return him quickly. But he is a vital asset in our Quest.
You see we have recently learned of a dread Sorceress *Add Emphasis on Dread* who is working for Kakuri. Now this sorceress is not a normal sorceress. She is under the employ of a very dangerous and powerful man who has been after us ever since we came to this plane. Now we need to kill this sorceress for a variety of reasons. One of which is with her dead, peace might be restored to these lands and the endless war might end. And we can't kill this sorceress without Adrian's help.
We need Adrian's skills to defeat this sorceress and help bring peace to this land. And after he does this really cool and heroic thing we will bring him back to you. And bring him back to you a hero. A hero that helped bring peace to land of Wa.

This was a tough situation, but last time you were in a tough situation you thought of just the right thing to say. Maybe if you wing it like last time it will happen again. You blurted out the first thing on your mind, “So… how long until you start laying eggs?” apparently your mind was stuck in the gutter. “W-W-W-WW-W-W-W-WHAT?!” Raiko yelled as did Adrian. “T-T-That has nothing to do with this!” Adrian came to his senses rather quickly whereas Raiko just blushed and swung herself on Adrian’s arm back and forth. Sparks of electricity were flying from her and conducting into Adrian. It honestly looked painful but he remained unfazed as he no doubt has suffered worse. “Well, I don’t know the general timing? Maybe a few months or so, that is if-” Don’t let her change the subject!” He points at you, “You came here to get me to come with you!” “Hehe, hehe,” Raiko continued to swing on Adrian's arm as she seemed to be daydreaming about the future. “Well dear, you can’t go now, not when you have to worry about what might happen” “DEAR?!” He shouts. Adrian looks to you, “Just what have you done?”

“I am truly sorry Raiko but at the rate, things are going this land might not be a safe place to raise children for long. We are going to work to make sure it does stay safe, but for us to be at our best we need Adrian.” The thunderbird looked down at her belly and then back up to Adrian, “Raiko listens, I do want to be with you but duty calls. I want to solve the war problem on this island and if that happens then you won’t be tied down to anyone and could even come with us.” “But I want you to stay here.” electric sparks ran across her body as she rubbed up against Adrian. “And I just can’t stay here forever, not while there is still so much awesome things I can do. Raiko, please.” She averts her gaze, “Well…..”

Raiko closes her eyes for a moment, “You better come back.” You stand up from your seat, “Does this mean…?!” “Yes…” Raiko stands up and walks over to you alongside Adrian, “...but!” She grabs you by the collar and pulls you close to her face. Electricity was coursing through her limbs and it started to burn holes in your shirt. Raiko made one request before you left, “You better bring him back!” At least at its base, it was a simple request, but she delivered it with enough force for a threat. Her tone was enough to make you swallow from nerves, “I promise Raiko, he will return once all this is settled, and from there we will discuss the future. Is That fair?” “Alright,” she pushes you onto the ground. And brings her attention back to the man in question. “You’re coming back.” “Is that so?” he replied in a teasing tone. “Shut up,” the thunderbird said before kissing him goodbye. It was a sweet moment that maybe would have been better if she hadn’t just threatened you.

After a brief hug, Adrian helps you to your feet, “You’ll need a new shirt.” “Yeah, cause that is what I am most concerned about now.” “Glad to see you haven’t changed.” The walk back to your friends was surprising quieter than you expected. “So uhh what’s the plan?” “Right now we are going to head back to Shiromitsu’s and take care of some personal matters. After that, we’ll figure things out.” “So the usual got it,” he said both bluntly and aptly.

When you meet back up with your friend they seem fairly indifferent when Adrian back, though at least Yuki is caring and asks him if he is alright. Rozalin, on the other hand, asks if he is alright, in another way, “So how was it?” she teases. “It was honestly a blur.” “A so it must have been quite the experience, I remember my first time when-” “Alright that is enough.” You interrupt them. “We should head out as soon as possible now. Your friends largely nod in agreement.

Before leaving though you had to talk with Ryuga one final time. “Thank you, Lady Ryuga for your hospitality and patience.” “Indeed, I am glad you will rid me of that pesky furball with your leaving, and now that Raiko is free she will have more time in the field, at least if she snaps out of her daze. She keeps going on about maybe being pregnant, and it is tiring” “I-Indeed.” You bow to the lord and take your leave, as you walk away though Ryuga says one final comment, “I hope you make the right decision.” So do you.

Her parting words float in your head as you begin your journey back to Shirokami.

The travel between countries was strangely quiet. Maybe you were just used to the demon lands where people were raiding at all times. Though while you were crossing the borders you saw a makeshift fort with a kitsune flag hoisted about it. Stoic and still guards were placed on the walls and by the gates. These men had incredible discipline as it didn’t look like anything would tear them away from their post. A herd of deer pranced by but nothing. Not even a look that strayed from there intended watch points.

You were impressed by the stalwart soldiers but now wasn’t the time. If anything it may be another sign that things could be worsening. You made haste back to the castle Shiromitsu was at. You were stopped by a familiar man, “Now what makes you think you can come back in here just to talk to Lord Shiromitsu?” “Because he wants to talk to me.” “How do you know that-” The man's pocket stone glowed once again, “My lord! But… Yes. yes…. Yes.” You waited eagerly but the man just lowered his head and pointed to the castle, “Just go in.” “Thanks.” You walk by harmlessly but as you walk through the castle this time around you notice there to be at least a hundred extra guards. All of which were watching you closely. They did not impede you in anyway and even guided you once again through the castle, but the atmosphere was incredibly dense.

You once again enter the room of the mysterious kitsune lord. Upon opening the door, however, you were immediately faced with a waft of familiar but unwanted smoke. “Lord Shiromitsu,” You greet the lord who still sat behind his screen with pluming smoke.” “Ahh so you have returned, tell me what is it you want?”

“Well…”

Let us first ask him to show himself. We want to talk face to face. Then bluntly ask him how could treat Taka as poorly as he did.

"Well... I think the Snake Lord is being manipulated by a minion from the so called Master of the Deadlands. Also, were you aware your spy service was recluiting children and not even training them? For a race that prides on their ability to trick others, that seems quite stupid."

“First of all Lord Shiromitsu, I believe taht Kakuri is being manipulated by an agent of the No-Named Man from the Accursed lands. He may not have too much traction in terms of knowledge here but he is incredibly dangerous. A destructive force that destroys others for almost no reason. I saw one of his men blow up an entire city out of spite. If this woman is working for him we may be in incredible danger.” The kitsune lord answers, “You would be correct in that assessment.” His calm voice was surprising. “Are you not worried?” “Of course, I am. I have just been dealing with it for the last few days.” “W-What do you mean?” “I mean we have been attacked by Kakuri’s forces almost nonstop for two days.” “But I thought the snake lord only stiked when he knew he would win?” “So then he must think that now.” “I am told that his soliders are surrounded by an aura of magic that makes them surpass physical limitations. Some are even twice their normal size. For everyone one my men kill they kill three. But now that I know the likely source of the power then we can strike.” He stands up “I want everyone to form a team to infiltrate Kakuri’s lands immediately! Bring me the finest units versed in stealth and assassinations.” The guards bow, “My Lord!” as they hury out of the room to fufil his task. “Thank you for your warning young one, but now I have to attend to this matter,” “WAIT!” you shout. The shadow sits down once again. “You know it is incredibly rude to shout at the lord inside his own castle.” You were not in the mood for this, especially at what you wanted to talk about.
>>
>>543621

“Lord Shiromitsu, were you aware of your spies recruiting children and not training them.” You see the shadows head move to face Taka. You couldn’t see him but perhaps he could somehow see you. “I was aware yes.” What?! But that means he used Taka for his.... Your blood began to boil. “But that is heartless!” You shout. “How could you even do that to a child. If you wanted them to trick people you should have at least trained them! From a people who pride themselves on trickery, this would be an incredibly idiotic course of action!” Rage came over you, Taka reached up and grabs your arm which kept you from raising your fist. Your little sister shook her head as you lowered your arm and began to calm down. “Lord Shiromitsu,...” Taka began to speak, “Why?” “That is a difficult question young one.” The lord refills his pipe as he starts to speak, “Since I was a boy our nation has constantly recruited children of capability as spies. We prided ourselves on our ability to trick and fool others and schools were taught specifically on the subject. However, when the old Lord of Wa came to power he banned all acts of espionage and training for similar acts. Our schools closed, we continued of course but we became rough around the edges. When the war broke out we had spent decades with only a handful of properly trained spies. Now we needed at least a hundred. These few spies were tasked with training others and the best audience to teach I think you will agree, are children." He fashions his refilled pipe and begins to take small puffs off it. "However after decades of ill practice and with only a small number of trained officials things were lost over the years and training became abysmal on the lower levels. Homeless children like yourself would have been the lowest. The task managers tell me that all agents are useful in the end but I have been working to fix the glaring issues for some time now.” He puffs on his pipe. “You were left for dead after a failed mission, weren't you?” Taka nods. “It seems I was too late then, too late to save more from similar fates. I had hoped to reform the program as it should be, but more were concerned over military strength and I could not fault them.” “I will not make excuses, in me rests ultimate responsibility as a ruler who has failed their people. I will not ask for your forgiveness, as I do not deserve to.” Taka seemed shocked at the kitsune lord's explanation and tone. As were you, you were angry just minutes ago, but now you didn’t know what to feel. Taka seemed to be the same as she just slowly sat down next to you without saying a word.

“Now if that is all young ones I must attend to the war. Unless you also came here go ask to join me?”

I will include the woman question at the end of this talk, in case you were curious.
>>
>>543621
"Jumping right into a situation without hearing all the information would be unwise. The No-Named Man loves to use curses, both in his locations and in his own minions. The sorcerer is probably cursed too so don't even try to take her alive for interrogation since her master will probably make her head explode if she surrenders or tries to reveal information."
>>
>>543640
Two final questions. This will help my answer. First do you know anything about the assassination of Shirabu's parents. And two, what is your opinion about opening talks with the other lords.
>>
>>543640
"One more thing. If things are really so bad, don't be surprised if your own spies are compromised. The No-Named Man uses dark magic and curses, so you should have all your people examined for that. His curses are fiendishy hard to remove to the point you would need a very powerful witch to do so. Also, since your spy network is probably compromised, don't trust anyone. And one more thing, I want to see your face. But I understand if you are too scared to do so."
>>
>>543653
>>543656
>>543663

“Answer this Shromitsu and you will hear my answer by the end of this conversation.” The shadow stays still. “Do you know anything about Shrabu’s parent's death?” “The noble lords of the demons?” “Ahh, a pity it was to hear of their passing. Someone was jostling for power, likely it was Kakuri as it fits his personality. Ryuga may be discriminatory but she wants to rule over the people not kill them. Though perhaps she would be willing to make “sacrifices” it is hard to tell. I myself and also suspicious though given my people's nature.” “You admitting your own suspicion?” “I would be a fool to not acknowledge your thinking of it. But I was the first to send out for peace talks if you remember. Talking with Shirabus parents would have made peace far easier to achieve. We were the biggest proprietors of peace during the talks shortly after the death of the old lord. It is a shame their daughter took their deaths as hard as she did. “Indeed.”

Why mulling over your answer you figure it might be best to warn him of the potential harm that sorceress could bring. “Jumping into this situation may be unwise. “That man” is found of curses with his followers. Most of the time the curse kills the person who tries to reveal information but It has even cause physical changes and affect people's mentality. It is not too much of a stretch to say he has compromised your spy network so I would trust no one.” “I will proceed with the utmost caution”
>>
>>543802

Now that that is out of the way, “Lord Shiromitsu, if were to pledge service to you I would need to see your face. Are you afraid, or perhaps you are a woman pretending to rule as a man.” The shadow begins to laugh quite boisterously. “Does my shadow allure you perhaps?” the cackling lord muttered. “Very well then..” The lord stands and walks around the screen to face all of you. It was a male kitsune alright, but he was incredibly young. He looked like he was just barely 20. You were shocked. For someone who sounded so composed and mature, he looks at least 15 years younger than he sounds. “Satisfied young one?” “Tell me why then. Why do you hide your face?” Safety is the first, “If you knew that there was a kitsune lord but didn’t know what he looked like he would be much harder to kill. Also, it is a bit of a game you see.” “A game?” “Yes, I wanted to hide my face and see what the people thought. I wanted to try and become a faceless ruler.” “But why?” “Because I wanted to instill the title with expectations, not the rulers.” You were a bit confused, “I am afraid I do not follow.” “When you think of Shirabus style of rule you could say it was wild and emotional. While her parents were calm, peaceful and regal. They still both shared the title of Demon Lord but now that title had two different meanings and expectations in the future. I wanted to be just the title, remove the need for faces and make the title of Kitsune Lord the source of inspiration that way it does not matter who may come after me as long as others follow my example as ruler.” There were some issues here, “Lord Shiromitsu, with all due respect expectations change and it’s those changes over time that define good and bad rulers.” “I am aware, which is why I still think this a game.” He smiles and tilts his head slightly.

“Now we must get to the point of this meeting, if you will not join me I must go, and if you will then we must go regardless. I do not have time for more questions given the situation.”

"I will not join your cause Lord Shiromitsu, I have my own path that I must follow. I am sorry for wasting any more of your time." "Very well then." "I hear that powerful kitsune can change shape, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't believe that to be your true face. but that would be the point wouldn't it." "The lord kitsune scoffs, "You're starting to sound like Ryuga. If you will not help then leave my castle and do fight against me. We have met twice already and with the current events, this will be your final warning. " "U-Understood" Your party makes a fast exit from the castle.

Once outside you talk to Taka who still looked a little shaken, "Taka are you alright." "Yeah, but he... didn't make any excuses. I'm not used to that, there is always and excuse, always. I just don't know how I should feel." Who would? "Well at the very least he is well tempered and let us leave despite all that shouting I did." "No, he was diffidently mad at you." You're suprised, "he was?" "I could tell by his demeanor, especially after your last comment. he seemed offended and talking to him now would be difficult for a variety or reasons. You're just lucky he is so nice, because if you said those things to Ryuga you would be imprisoned if not severely beaten or killed." "G-Good to know."

Your friends are waiting behind you as you talk to your sister, Yuki asks, "Soooo, what is the plan?"

Yes, what is the plan?

>Leave the island, this is too much for you. Since the Snake Lord is waiting for you, and has been poisoned by the sorcerer influence. It would be a death trap. You have no army and don't want to join any other of the three lords so the best option is to leave. Otherwise you will be captured and delivered as a present to the master of the bad lands. And is not like your luck will last forever after all. Plus how would you able to defeat warriors booster with the sorcerer magic if even professional soldiers are having trouble with them?
> Go to see Baba Yaga about the hallucinations curse l since is getting worse.
>>
>>543973
While pessimist. Now that we know how powerful she can make soldiers it would be too dangerous to go after the sorcerer. We don't have the numbers and don't want to pick sides so there isn't more we can do without taking stupid risks.

And yes the curse takes priority. We also have to check if Taka us cursed.
>>
>>543922
>Go to Kakuri in the north
But let us try to go stealthy and be prepared to run.

>>543973
If we leave that would be betraying Raiko and would probably anger Adrian. We have to do something. Hell just going to go see the situation gives us more info to make a better decision.
>>
>>543983
Or hell. Atleast try to get all the other lord, besides Kakuri together to fight a common enemy. Shromitsu seems open. Shirabu just wants to kill her parents assassin, which is probably Kakuri. And Ryuga will probably come if we lie to her or convince her of the greater threat.
>>
>>543983
If Adrian wants to leave, is his problem. Our world doesn't go around him. No one is forcing him to stay.
>>
>>543991
With our luck the Snake Lord has been tricked all this time and is the Master minions the ones who killed our demon sister parents.

But who knows? This is too big for us.

Also I don't like Adrian and he wasn't very happy with getting in fights anyway. For me he can stay with Thunderbird and be a farher
>>
>>544014
I guess I'm out voted either way but leaving this as it is feel wrong. We know there is a threat and have really done nothing about it. The most we have done is informed people, hey a thing. Furthermore we never did anything to help with the war. Just sort of messed around and talked to people, never really solved anything.
>>
>>544032
We made the Kitsune Lord hate us so he won't listen anymore. So that's out.

The dragon lord is too arrogant to accept an aliance.

And our demon sis is an adorable murder loli, but she has no way of convincing the other two for an aliance.

If we had gone with the plan of making the Thunderbird leave that smug dragon would be more open for an aliance since it would have lost her WMA. BUT NOO...

So yeah, we are done.
>>
>>544052
Yeah. We lost our chance to make the Thunderbird leave the war. Sure it would have cost us Adrian but I consider that worth it. Without that WMA the dragoness would be more open to dialogue.
>>
>>544052
I see there is no convincing you so I shall stop. Still leaving my vote for going to see Kakuri stealthy. Getting more info is always good.
>>
>>544069
Since she most likely works for the Master and has a spy network there is no way to do it stealthy. And there is no way we are risking our two Imps against someone that powerful. I mean this is way different than with the Globins, there we recluited an Army, had good rolls and STILL lost a whole city. And that was while disguised.

Here she knows we are the girl her Master wants and got an army to call. Plus the ability to boost said army abilities with magic.

Also is possible Taka is cursed and would be used as hostage.

We really need Yuki to at least learn Detect curse, that ability earlier would have saved a lot of trouble.
>>
>>543973
>>543980
>>543983

You try to wrap your head around all this but if things were getting so bad in the north with Kakuri and that sorceress then things might be a little too much for you. Shiromitsu probably won’t want to talk to you again, unless you are agreeing to work with him. Ryuga is too smug to work with anyone, especially Shiromitsu, your demon sister Shirabu would be the safest bet for an alliance but getting her to work with the other lords would be tricky. You still don’t know who exactly killed her parents so convincing her to think it was Kakuri would be both effective and a potential lie. Things are getting hairy….

“Guys… what if we just left?” “What?” was the universal response you got from your team. Just a day ago you asked yourself this question after your talks with Taka but now everyone should know. “Are you sure…” Aki put her hand on your shoulder while Yuki did the same with your hand. “I just don’t think we can compete with what is happening. If professional armies are losing to the sorceress then what hope do we have? Adrian is taking this hard, “So you would rather give up than try?!” “I want to be safe, not sorry.” “After saying you wanted to fix things here?!” “That was before we learned this. What about you Taka, this is your homeland.” Thi kitsune pondered, “I am conflicted. On one had I spent my entire life here and I want the best for it, but on the other hand, no one really cared about me and used me. I’d feel something close to guilt if we left but I’m not sure what.” Anna asks, “What about Shirabu? Do you think she will be okay?” “Well either way we get to kick some ass, doesn’t matter to me,” Victoria states simply after crossing her arms. You hang your head and close your eyes to concentrate.

Eh, can't really think of anything better and it sounds like fun.

Though If I am out voted and we do leave I suggest we make one last stop over to Shirabu. Tell her we are leaving for a while and tell her that the real threat here is Kakuri's Sorceress, not the other lords.
>>
>>544255
I should clarify. The banner is not to conquer but a banner of crusade. Unite and take out Kakuri's sorceress. Deal with the bigger threat. Then people can go back to fighting over power, or trying to talk to each other now that have worked together for once.

This is a major decision but after some time thinking it over you decide, “We are definitely leaving, Adrian you can go back to Raiko if you want.” Your friends were shocked, not that you wanted to leave but that you were willing to just dump Adrian if he wanted to stay. Adrian looks upset so you try to explain, “You need to understand we don’t have much of a chance.” “That doesn’t mean we have no chance! You’re the one always able to break expectations, you saved hundreds, ended wars. You even have a reputation for doing so! And you just want to run?!” He was getting more upset by the second. “Adrian you need to calm down.” “You just…” He clenches his fists and turns around, “If you don’t wanna help then I’ll do it myself!” He runs off from you all. You reach your hand to try and grab him “Adrian!” but you were too slow and he sprints off by himself. “Adrian…” Rozalin comments on the situation, “Fufu, a reasonable response from a man blinded by love and sense of duty. You typically have that same sense of duty, but you have all of us to help you, Adrian, however, is alone. The way he is now… he’s more than likely going to die.” “I… I know…” You close your eyes to ease your mind a bit.

That seems like the best option. Honest, what part of "we don't have an army on our side this time" is that hard to get?

So we just attacking our own party now. That's cool. We could just kill, he knows of the Sun Orb, Liability and all.

Sigh. I guess I doesn't matter how many times I bring it up. The decision will always be kill boars in the forest. Challenge and difficulty is just something people don't want to do. Why try to do anything when you can just run.

Of course the response to this will either be nothing or someone saying we are in over our head. And for that I agree, by ourselves we are in over our heads. But we can recruit people to our cause, Shirabu likes us, and if we get her we can try to convince others. We have the Dragon lords WMD on our side so Ryuga can be talked with. But nope. Too much work. Things might be dangerous and we hate danger here.

And you breathe out deeply. “We will leave soon but first I want to write a letter to both lord Shiromitsu and Shirabu. Nessera could you please deliver the letter to Shirabu, I want to warn her about the master and that sorceress.” “Understood, ” The second letter to Shiromitsu will be a formal apology for my attitude today. Though I think I was justified in my anger at his carelessness he was the most open person to talking about peace.” You’re still a little pissed at him for what he did to Taka, but your justified protective personality is the blame for that. You just hope you can convey that with pen and paper.

Before that, though, Nessera, could you go and knock Adrian out and bring him to Raiko. He would be safest with her. “Hmph, if you insist.” The imp mother melds with her environment and flies after the emotional man. Nessera returns empty handed a minute later. “Where’s Adrian?” “He stopped me and said to leave him alone if we weren’t going to help.” “Did you try to knock him out? How did he stop you?” “Well I did move to knock him in the head but he caught my arm without looking. He was still quite upset and he began to twist my wrist before letting go. After that, he told me to leave and left.” She rubs her wrist, “Despite his anger, his eyes were filled with determination… and sadness.” “Adrian…”
>>
>>545755
"I guess we should tell Raiko before he kills himself then. Could you do that for me Nessera? Go to tell her that Adrian left us and decided to go on his own?" You don't want the Thunderbird to come after the rest of you in vengeance but leaving without saying anything would be worse.
>>
>>545788
Yeah, this works. Damn Adrian we should just have left him with Raiko to start with. Now he is gonna get himself killed and the Thunderbird will kill us in vengeance.
>>
>>545788

"Nessera would it be too much to inform Raiko? We don't know what Adrian will do but she should know about his situation regardless." Leaving without telling her is bad, and if Adrian dies it is even worse, so if anything she should know all that you do. If she is with him you know he will at least be safer than he is now.

"Alright, I will return as soon as I can." The imp mother flies off toward her new destination.

In the meantime I want to head to that Asaichi shrine Ryuga told me about, maybe they can figure more stuff out about this blasted orb.” When you say that you feel the orb in your pocket glow slightly brighter and its warmth in your pocket increases. Your group understood and from there you traveled to that shrine which was supposed to be between Shiromitsu’s and Ryuga’s land. All the intense fighting was in the north so the journey south was rather peaceful. On your way down you passed that stoic once again but this time, you stuck a bit closer to it. Passing by you see the stalwart soldiers not budging an inch. “How could some people be that disciplined?’ You looked at the soldiers and waved but nothing. “Hmm, Lord Shiromitsu sends me to ensure the safety of this fort!” you yell, but still nothing? “We were told to attack Ryuga’s lands!” “Shiromitsu is a terrible ruler.” You yelled everything at them and absolutely no response. Just who are these people? You walk a bit closer to get a good look and when you do you notice that the soldiers at this fort were all dummies. All of them made of wood. “What? Why?” This fake fort of Shiromitsu’s must be a part of his “game” somehow but for now, it isn’t important and you head off to the shrine.
>>
>>545811

It took some time but you found the shrine. It was colored red and yellow. Sun themed inlays were worked into the building with matching imagery. You were greeted by a friendly kitsune priest at the front gates. “Hello, and welcome to Asaichi shrine. Are you perhaps here for shelter?” “Uh, no actually, we were wondering if we could speak to an expert on sun relics here if possible.” His eyes widened a bit, “Sun relics you say, we do have an expert but he is busy praying with the refugees.” “May we sit in on the prayer?” “Why of course! You’ll just have to enter quietly.” “Thank you.” The priest leads you to a worship hall where you see hundreds of people from all walks of life, Kitsune, demon, Dragon and even some insectoids that are huddled together in prayer. Many of them are young people and children who were all diligently listening to the head priest address the crowd, “We pray now to lord Tengoichi, the Sun Lord, and watche over the children of Wa. We prayer for safety, peace, and prosperity. Under Tengoichi all peoples are equal and all are loved no matter their past allegiances. We pray for the wars swift end and a new era of hope to emerge.” The head priests clasped his hands and falls into a silent meditation. The crowd follows and after a nudge from Taka so did you and your friends. Everyone sat for almost 10 minutes in meditation before the priest opens his eyes and announces the end of the prayer, “In Tengoichi we live in the light as does this land.” The refugees begin to chat amongst themselves indiscriminately. Dragonkin were talking with Kitsune and demons were talking with insectoids as the crowd begins to slowly disperse.

Once the hall is nearly empty the priest from before walks up to the head priest and whispers in his ear. The old man focuses his newfound attention on you and walks over, “Greetings travelers, I am told you wish knowledge on relics of the sun? "

This. No need to just show the sun orb just yet
>>
>>545842
I mean we are going to spend 2 hours debating whether or not to get rid of the sun orb anyway, as we always do, so let us just get straight to the point and show him the Sun Orb so he can identify it.
>>
>>545846
I don't want the kind Priest going crazy thanks to the Sun Orb. He is a sun priest and the thing is a sun orb, is like giving a bag of candy to a four year old, he won't be able to resist.
>>
>>545878
Ditto.
>>
>>545878
If that is the reasoning then why did we come here? He is a sun Priest. There is no way he is going to tell us how to destroy or seal a sun artifact. That is probably against his religion. Did we just want to waste our time? Or are we giving him the Sun Orb? What is our objective in going to this temple?
>>
>>545898
Is an EVIL artifact that uses the power of the sun.
>>
>>545898
>>545932
Is an artifact that's giving his religion a bad name. Is worth a try.
>>
>>545932
Then we should mention that. All we are saying right now is we found a Sun artifact and want it destroyed.

>>545938
How is it giving his religion a bad name? It is a powerful orb that glows. It really has nothing to do with his religion.

>>
>>546020

Yes, I have found and I want to either destroy it or seal it away for a long time.” Heseems confused, “But if this is a relic of lord Tengoichi’s why would you want to seal it away or worse destroy it?” “Because everyone who has used it goes mad with destructive force It has killed thousands and raized probably a hundred cities. To use the power of the Sun in such a was it terrible. We think the relic is cursed somehow and it is too dangerous an item to keep around.” The old priest is intrigued, “May I see the relic perchance. It is hard to tell you much without me examining the item in question.” “Yes, but we should not directly touch it,” You reach into your pockets and pull out the destructive orb and place it infront of you, “They call it “The Sun Orb” “Hmm” the man looks over the object and feels its soft glow from afar, “I have seen this before… but where?” Come with me please to our library, we may find a tome on this object.” “Wonderful.” The priest leads you to a vast library, It wasn’t nearly as big as the grand library from back at the scorpion folk village but it was still impressive. “Here are hundreds of records and sacred tomes from throughout the years. This object though is rather old and..” The priest picks up a book and flips through it, “Where was it again… no… no…” The priest is tearing through books, “Umm, do you need help.” “Sorry young ones but I require concentration.” That was probably the politest no you have ever heard. After another 15 minutes the priest has a revalation, “Aha! Here it is?” “What have you found?” “This is records that predate our recorded history, and here look.” The priest shows you a picture in the tome which clearly has an orb. “There is a passage, ‘The orb that channels the sun in pure shall always if unbalanced destroy. A ray of sunshine unabated destroys lives. The light can enter the body but it consumes more than it gives when alone’.” Anything else?” “Here young one, the priest points to the bottom of the picture were another orb is drawn. “This one reads, ‘The orb of night brings shadow and death. Darkness is a hunger that ebbs away and consumes all. It twists the mind and destroys the soul.” The preist stops and looks over the page again, “there is a final passage. ‘ Night and day will always be. Day is balanced by night, one’s existence without the other will be ruin, but when brought together the harmony of life is assured. ’.”
>>
>>546080

“What do you think it means head priest?” he puts his hand to his chin, “It seems fairly clear if the object in the picture is what you are holding then the second orb of night exists somewhere. The Night orb will balance you Sun Orb, where that relic may be I do not know. There is a final message though about the orbs I assume. “The orb of the sun lives with beings lands of light. The orb of Night lives with beings of absolute darkness.” That is a lot to think about. “Thank you, kind priest, for your help.” “It is a pleasure, I just hope we may find the balance. As the tome says Day is balanced by night Tengoichi is counted by Saigomatsu the god of the night and moon. I would ask for you to leave the orb here, but with the war raging the last thing the warlords need are destructive relics like that. You would be wise to take it from here.” You expected him to want to keep it here, but he seems a practical man.” “”I understand head priest.” “Very well, is there anything else I can help you with child?”

"There are no clear clues but perhaps places of darkness and shadow. The shrine of Saigomatsu exists on the opposite borderlands of Kakuri's and Shirabu's lands. >>546128
Well now we have a choice. Leave and ignore this entirely or go see the temple and continue with a quest line. I vote go to the Temple. Might as well find out more about this Night Orb because we really don't know of any places of darkness and shadow.
>>
>>546128
"Well, is unlikely for the Orb to be in this island or someone would have used it already. Although... is possible that I know who might have it..." Having the night orb would explain the Master of the cursed land abilities. But why wasn't it using with the sun orb it that was the case?
>>
>>546158
Well, this works. That would explain the Master abilities.
>>
>>546158
Are you asking him a question or just musing about something?
>>
>>546169
Both, we are talking out loud.
>>
>>546182
Talking out loud is redundant. I think you mean Thinking out loud.

I'm also not sure what your plan with this is, what after this we go to the Accursed land and try to find the Master?
>>
>>546188
No. Go with Baba Yaga for our hallucinations curse. The rest we will see.
>>
>>546198
Right. Last time we saw the cursed man or something instead of just hearing voices, we have to get that cured.
>>
>>546198
Ok. And because let us have this debate right here and now, we will have it later anyways because of course we will, But when we get tp Yaga what are we doing with the Sun Orb. I vote keep it. We can possibly counter it with the Night Orb and it is safer with us because we know where it is.
>>
>>546207
Unless the Master has the Night Orb then it will be totally useless until we defeat the Master, and by then we basically have won the Quest.
>>
>>546214
I mean we can always attempt to use it. It was mentioned some time back, don't remember when, that We can potentially turn it to good if we channel enough healing through it.
>>
>>546214
Good point. Personally I prefer to give the Sun Irb to Yaga than going into another of Yaga Quests. It was her damn quest that got us the hallucinations curse in the first place. We could give up Necromancy but I don't think Baba Yaga will just accept that as payment.
>>
>>546221
It was just a theory.
>>546251
And yes necromancy is something we barely use lately. We have Yuki to revive our parents and dark magic reminds us of the Master.

Ironically we are still Night oriented due to Water magic being conected to the Moon
>>
>>546272
We are also motherly, just like the Moon.
>>
>>546272
Theories can be tested.

And we have been using Necromancy a lot. When we are in large combat. We haven't had large combat, or really any combat, since the Goblins.

>>546251
How would just Necromancy be sealed away. Sealing away magic seems like an all or nothing sort of thing.

>>546290
Motherly. Related to the night. Use Dark Magic. This seems familiar. Reminds me of someone we met early on.
>>
>>546301
We already feel bad enough about both helping to create "Mother" and not being able to prevent our parents deaths due to stupid time travel rules.

Also Mother is unlikely to have the Night Orb because she isn't that insane.
>>
>>546333
I have no idea what you are talking about. I was mentioning how we are turning into Mother, just with more morality.

Also what is this about stupid Time Travel Rules. I have no memory of any of this when we time traveled. We were just not to interfere, something we promptly ignored.

“Well, it is unlikelyfor the orb to be in this island as someone would have already used it. Though could it be?” Does “He” have it. It would explain his curses but he also had the sun orb at the time, why not use both of them and keep Azrazzor from going insane?” “Is there a problem miss?” The priest asked noticing your thinking. “Oh, sorry just thinking outloud. Thank you for your time.” You bow to the priest before making your leave. On your way out you notice some children from all species and races playing in the courtyard with a ball. You also notice Taka staring at the scene, “Do you want to go play with them too?” “Huh? N-No I was just interesting on all these people getting along together, but we really should hurry.” “Big sis Aki can I go?” Serena asks with longing eyes. Aki looks to you and after a second you smile and nod in approval. “Alright dear” Aki tells the little imp, “Yeah!” She runs over to the group of children and quickly joins in on the fun. You say in a sarcastic voice, “Well shoot, looks like we have to spend a little bit of time here now.” You smile at your youger sister. Who returns one and then runs off to join the other children.

You and the rest of your friends have to wait for an hour or so but it was still a pleasant time. People working together instead of planning to rip each other apart. War did not exist in this shrine only harmony it seemed. “This could be a preview of life after the war.” You say without thinking. Rozalin adds, “Or this is a flashback to what life was like before this war.” She could be right but you wanted to be more of a “glass is half full” type of person about all this. Taka and Serena were playfully laughing as a game of keep away got underway. Taka’s maneuverability could not be matched but Serena would steal the ball from stealth constantly. “Hey that’s cheating!” the kitsune would yell as they chased each other. The other children were trying to keep up with the newcomers but smiles were still all around.
>>
>>546371
Ok read about that. It sounds like standard time travel stuff. Nothing particularly stupid. I mean Time travel in general is silly and doesn't make a lot of sense. But a standard time loop just looks par for the course when it comes to time travel rules.

Yuki sits down next to you, and you strike up conversation “Sure makes you think back doesn’t it” “Yeah…” You and Yuki would play games like this all the time as kids, you fondly remember one time you played a game of hide-and-seek and won because you hid in a closet full of women's clothes because at the time Yuki didn’t believe you would ever dress like a girl. “Hehe,” you giggle to yourself remembering those days. “Hey, Yuki remember that time when-” You wanted to say more but Yuki had tears coming down her eyes while watching the scene being played out in front of her. “Yuki?” “Sorry,” she wipes away the tears it's just this too sad to think about in retrospect. You put your hand over her’s. You wanted to assure her that even if those times were gone, you weren’t going anywhere. After an hour or so you get up and tell people that it was time to leave,” “Okay Onee-chan,” Taka and Serena wave goodbye to their new friends as you all leave the shrine.

“I guess from here we should head out then right?” you put your hand on your sister's head and ruffled her hair around, “Onee-chan stooooop.” Time for another go on that raft-boat thing you made.

Still being given the option so I'm still going for it. See this lovely scene. Let us try to bring this scene back to the Land of Wa and stay. Go see Shirabu see if we can't get her on our side to go take down Kakuri's Sorceress. And After we get her go talk to Ryuga, we know Raiko and we can use her to help negotiations. After that we can talk to Shiromitsu, who will be much easier to convince to join us if we have a large army behind us. Once we get a big army we begin the assault and go after the Sorceress. Deal a blow against the Master of the Accused Lands.

Yes It will be dangerous but so was everything we have done before. And you know what, we succeeded. We succeeded every time we pushed our self. So let us push our self again and go try to bring peace to this land.

You were prepping for take off when Nessera returns, “The deed is done.” “How did she take it?” “Well she was a little upset and then broke through her new window and flew off. Ryuga wasn’t pleased, but she isn’t trying to stop her either.” “Well at least she knows” “Are we able to sail?” “Just about.” “Hey! Just get in the boat!” “But I don’t like the water.” “Your afriad of water?!” Anna was having an argument with a hesitant kitsune. “Well not water itself, but large bodies of it.” Like an ocean. You walk over to your sister, “Its okay Taka just hold my hand.” “I’m not a child!” She pouts. “Well children are debilitated by their fears while adults face them. If you aren’t a child then you can get in the boat.” After shifting her eyes a bit she groans in frustration “Augh! Onee-chan you’re the worst!” she says as she gets in the vessel. With that out of the way you get in the “ship” and set sail.

The seas were kind to you today but that was due in no small part to your ever increasing proficiency in water magics. You wash up on the beach on the eastern astral plane and put that island behind you. Or at least on hold.

No way in hell we go back to the Sirens. We befriended the harpies and they have a temporary peace treaty with the spiders. We could use our dark elf disguises again later. Even if Anna and Victoria will have to go as a blue Oni and a red Oni. And Taka will have to hide her head and tail.

Who knows what might happen next. “It’s not getting worse is it?” Yuki asks. “No, but I just want to get it done with.” You lied to your best friend to keep her from worrying. The fastest way to get to her hut would be through the Eversong forest, but after the sirens, you stay away from there as much as you can help it. Going around may take an extra day or so but you conscious will at least be more at ease. “Alright, set off!”

The curse was concerning, but perhaps a pleasant chat with a flower girl would be a nice change of pace. We have a strong culture for floral design.” “My that is lovely.” The moth takes note of your interest, “Would you like to find one with me miss? Picking flowers is humble but my people say that it is good for the soul.” The woman looks over her near rainbow of colorful flowers. “They say that the flowers speak through color in such beautiful ways.” It would help you further to get your mind off things. “Sure, I’ll help, but only for a bit as I have to get somewhere soon.” “They say you can’t rush proper floral care, but maybe you will find something interesting.” The month smiles, “You don’t need to worry about poisonous flowers here.” Your friends look a little perplex and Victoria looks annoyed that you are just taking, this time, off for something frivolous as this. Not only that but you also found what you think is a tulip that had not fully bloomed. But it’s bud still looked like a blue night. You return to your floral expert and ask, “What exactly are these.” The woman gasps, “These and incredibly rare miss. You found a peacock flower and also a twilight tulip!” “A what and a what?” “That red flower you found is the peacock flower spreading its beauty in multiple colors and erratically. This flower is highly sought after by the peacock folk in the southern forest. If you wanted to you could sell it there for quite the sum, though I would not dare personally to give away such a beauty.” huh. The flower girl continues almost in the same breath, “And this twilight tulip! A mysterious flower. It never blooms naturally but the legends say that in pure darkness it reveals light. Of course, people nickname the flower because of that legend as Death Blossoms, but I hear their bloom be a glorious site that it even mirrors Heaven.” Wow, that is some flower you managed to pick up.

The woman seems eager to talk more but waits for you to speak. “Thank you miss for the identification, is there anything else we may know before we leave?” “Only that I wish to make you a brooch or even a headdress of these items. It is not every day that a flower girl like myself sees these flowers and working on them would be a great honor.

“No young miss, you should actually take these flowers.” “Me?!” She’s shocked. “But they are yours! You found them, why would you give them to me.” “Because you are a humble and kind flower girl misses, you deserve these flowers more than me, also you no doubt could use the money from selling them if you wish.” You offer the flowers. “Are you sure?” “Positive.” She smiles and lets you place the flowers in her basket, “Thank you for this gracious gift” My name is Shirome and if you ever are in town please stop by the village just inside the forest. “Thank you Shirome, I will keep that in mind.” The flower girl smiles brightly and you could swear she skips off back into the woods with her gift. “That felt good,” it was really nice to do something menial for a change of pace. You sigh, “Well, back to the task at hand.” You return to your travels.

Your travels were going fairly well but the night was coming to you all. You knew it would take a bit longer to reach Yaga’s hut but things have been going well so far so it might be time to camp. Just in case though you chose to walk an extra hour inland to stay away from the accursed lands. Last time you remember nights near the border were “eventful.” You set up camp and huddle around the campfire. “So tomorrow we will reach Yaga’s once again.” You group groans. “Not the chickens again!” Victoria complains. Next time she asks me to help out I am throwing a spear through one.”Anna chuckles, “Haha, that would be appropriate.” She might make you all help out for helping you remove the curse but as long as she doesn’t send you back north you’re okay with that. “So Onee-chan what is all this? What is this place? Who was that?” Everything was new to your sister. You explained in general what you knew about the land and as you did her mouth grew more agape. “Dragons?! Not like dragonkin but full sized dragons?” “Yes, I am actually pretty familiar with one if you want me to introduce you sometime.” “Really?!” You nod. “Yeah!” she pumps her fists into the air with excitement. You didn’t want to return to Baeloric without good purpose but you were sure he would appreciate the extra company for a short while. Taka yawns, “Onee-chan can we go to bed?” It had been a long day, and a day of firsts for her. No doubt she was tired. “Sure Taka lets head to the tent. She sleepily walked over and you both entered your sleeping arragenments for the night. Taka seems to have gotten used to sleeping in bed with yo thanks to Shirabu and having the company at night was pleasant. Though a certain basilisk may disagree with you.

Oh well, it’s best to head to bed. It only took you a few minutes to doze off. You didn’t sleep for long though as you heard a ruffling outside your tent. You were alerted immediately and prepared if someone was trying to raid your campsite. There were no sounds other than the ruffling with at least was better than hearing the howling of dragons or wolves. The entrance of your tent slowly opens to reveal you, invader. “Aki?” “Hey, how are you doing?” “Well you scared me for one, but alright I suppose.” “May I join you?” temptations asks. “Aki you can’t do this every night.” you sigh. “She pouts, “but you sleep with her now every night, and come on you know you want to lay with me.” She wasn’t wrong but now wasn’t the time. Aki, there is too much going on right now to-” She slithered in and rolled up and laid next to you.” “Is this okay then?” “It’s better.” “Hehe good.” after a minute of getting comfortable she places her arm on your abdomen and laid it so that her claw was on your chest. “Is it alright if I as you something?” “Sure Aki, anything.” “Well, why is it that you keep running away?” “?” That was an unexpected question from her.” “As I said many times we weren't prepared, Aki.” “Knowing you were unprepared why did you let Adrian go off to die?” “-B-But we don’t know that he will die.” “Don’t lie, of course you know he will.” “And whose fault is that.” This is getting strange, “It’s your fault. All of it is your fault.” “Aki what are you say- ahh!” you feel her claws sink into and scratch your skin. “Aki! Stop it!” you shout but she acts like she couldn't hear you. “Everything is your fault, all those people died in the mermaid war because of you. Her claws bite into your shoulder hard. “Pain is sent coursing through your torso as Aki pulls herself on top of you. She brings her face close to yours and you notice that her eyes were completely black with striking red pupils. “Are you afraid?!” “You're always afraid… But who are you afraid of? Huh?!” “Who is it?!” Who is it?!” She shakes you with her claws still embedded in your skin. You scream in both pain and desperation, "Aki get ahold of yourself!” but despite your plea she sinks her teeth into your neck and you slowly feel your body stiffening.

You don’t remember Aki’s eyes ever doing that, and although she is at times quite forward this is assault. You let out a sigh of relief when you realize that this is just a dream. You figure this must be a part of that worsening curse. If it affected your mind it was natural that it would invade the land dreams so this exchange is unsurprising. Alright then, time to wake up. You reach over with your free arm to pinch yourself, your pinch was a minor annoyance compared to the fake Aki clawing away at your body. Which is weird usually when you first experience drastic pain is when you wake up, but Aki’s claws and teeth sank deeper as your legs became harder to move. “Ahh! Stop it now!” You shout in agony. The pain doesn’t stop but the fake Aki’s death kiss did. “Tell me!” “Who are you afraid of!” You ignore the images questions. This should all be over soon, maybe the pain threshold is a little higher because of the curse. “Hehe… then you give up it seems..” The fake Aki chuckles as she releases her claws from your skin. “In which case, the master will not care if we…” The image reaches over and *crack!* breaks your arm. “Ahhh! You yell in pain.” The basilisk laughs at your misery and bends your now broken arm in the opposite direction she just broke it. “Ahhh!” Holy shit this hurts. And still, your body is slowly stiffening from that bite earlier. The crazed woman laughs almost hysterically as she twists and bends your arm in every direction to shatter your limb as painfully as possible. “Do you enjoy pain perhaps?! You already know you deserve what you did to many.” After mangling your arm she slams and digs her claws into the corresponding leg.” “You lost the ability to walk before and you got it back while hoarding power for yourself. It figures that you would keep an item that would destroy others and yourself. It fits you perfectly!”

There is something wrong here, you feel like you are going to die if this goes on, but since this is a dream wouldn’t that mean you wake up faster?

No, you are in far too much pain for this to be a simple dream. You quickly more your free and unbroken arm to pull open your vial of water. The imitation does not try to stop you as she was busy trying to peel open your leg. You hurt and blast all the water you had onto her. You needed to kill this thing quickly and seeing her drenched you had a both terrifying and effective idea.

With your free arm, you reach to the fake Aki who is laughing at you still, “Fighting back are we?” “Haha, not like it matters, you’ll fail like the rest. She turns to try and lunge at you but you focus all of your power at the water surrounding the double. The basilisk stops mid-lunge and their body begins to shake, “Ohh… now this is interesting.” “Shut up!” You have had enough of her tone and constant taunting. “So what will you do little girl? “I said shut up! You put all of your energy into your mana usage and the basilisk arm slowly and hesitantly reaches up to her neck. “Haha, what will you do now?” “SUT UP!” You were starting to get angry at this image. How dare she take the form of Aki to try and kill you. How dare she! Her other arm winds to her neck as well. The dark visage of your love laughs as you slowly force her claws to constrict around her neck. “Hahaha haha haha- ccchhhkkkkkkk” You weren’t satisfied with mere choking after what she put you through and you force her claws to dig and rip at her own throat. *cough* the basilisk spits up blood as she falls to the ground and bleeds out only moments later.

You let go of your focus and breathe heavily. Doing that just now felt like you just ran a mile at a full sprint. Not to mention your mangled arm and the ret of your body being in pain. While taking a moment to breathe the fake visage of Aki actually turns to a black shadow and slowly fades in a rising smoke almost which lead outside your tent. If this wasn’t a dream then going back to bed wouldn’t work. You reach over to your broken arm. “This is gonna hurt like hell.” You pull twist and bend your arm to set it back into generally the right place. Your regeneration would have taken care of that naturally but setting it would make it go at least faster, and you still don’t know what exactly will happens parts of your body feel numb and you almost feel like throwing up.

This, Taka went to sleep in the same tend that us and we are in no condition to go wandering.
>>
>>553496
>>553499

You went to sleep next to Taka, so she should be here, you would be surprised if she slept through that but maybe you were hallucinating things due to a poison or the curse. Either way, it's best to wake her up. "Taka, wake up." You shake her at first softly to be nice. But then realizing the urgency you toss her about. "Ahhh, Onee-chan!" The kitsune yelps as you almost throw her across the tent. You check her eyes before continuing, no black or red so she checked out. "Taka, I think I might have been poisoned, an image or Aki came in here and attacked me. I don't know if it is the curse or not but either way it isn't good. "A-Alright..." she seemed hesitant but believes you. "Would you mind going to get Yuki for me? I can't move at the moment." "Why?" Taka then notices and gasps at your arm and leg. "Got it!" she jumped up and stumbled outside the tent. "Holy shit!" you hear her yell followed by a thud. "What is it?!" you ask from the tent. Taka walks back inside with wide eyes, You'll want to see this..." You weren't in the best of shape to move but you wave over for Taka to help you up regardless. She helps you walk outside to your campground.

Well at least at some point it was a campground. the whole place was desolate ash. Your camp was shifted in odd ways. the geography twisted and jagged from what you remember. The trees nearby were rotting along with the plant life. Your campground felt slanted and you had to learn slightly forward to stand tall. But the worst part about this was the air. It was heavy and it looked to have a tinge of faint yellow about it. when you look at the sky instead of a blue or black there was a swirly pool of tan-yellow and orange as if there was a black hole sucking the air into a single point overhead. "Onee-chan... where are we?" "I-I don't know..."

You shake your head, "We need to get the others awake at least. Let's go to Yuki's tent," you instruct as your sister helps you hobble over. "Yuki you need to get up!" You yell, but you don't get a response. Maybe it was like Taka and you need to shake her up." "Taka, would you mind waking up Yuki for me? It's still hard to move." "Okay." Taka walks in and you hear muffled "hey wake up." followed by shaking. Then there was a lot of shaking like someone was flailing on the ground and smacking it as hard as they could. "Taka!" You shamble into the tent fo find Yuki with her hands around Taka's neck choking her. *cchhhcchhhkkk* Taka chokes as she tries to breathe while pushing on Yuki to get her off. Yuki turns to meet your entrance, "Hey you." She smiles revealing her black and red eyes.

You know what, fuck this. You didn’t want to deal with whatever is going on pulled out the Sun Orb. You channeled your mana and energy into the relic and you instantly felt a warm glow radiate through you. Yuki laughs, “So you finally give in huh? Well, that’s up to you throwing your life away.” Another smile. The warm glow of the orb quickly healed you and you felt positively brimming with energy. You felt like you could do literally everything, nothing would stop you, no curse, and certainly no one. You point to orb at the visage of Yuki who laughs, “It was nice knowing you.” A huge ray of sunlight filled your mind. Everything at that moment turned yellow and felt like a roaring blaze was emanating from your hands, you hear Taka desperately yell “Onee-chan!” as the scene you were in fades completely white and devoid of all sound.

You were floating in that pure white when you heard a voice. “You are the destructor, the fire that will burn your enemies and incinerate your rivals. All life will tremble before your power.” That voice told you everything you ever wanted to hear and you believed it wholeheartedly . Finally, you would never have to worry about being weak again. You smiled as you closed your eyes and your consciousness slipped.

The next thing you remember you wake up to your friends shaking you. “HEY HEY GET UP!” Yuki and Aki were screaming as you groggily open your eyes. “What is-”Ahh!” You were hit with furious pain all of a sudden. Every part of you felt like it was on fire that burned hotter than a furnace. You couldn’t breathe without pain willing your lungs which would produce almost unending coffing “She needs help! Yuki do something!” Anna yelled, Yuki places her hands over you and began praying, please… please, not another one…not you…” She looked like she had been crying all morning and now that you looked at the rest of your group all of them did. “What happened?” you were able to ask once Yuki started healing you. She lowered the intensity of the pain but it hadn’t gone away. Anna started to explain, “Well, we woke up to screaming coming from your tent…” “Taka was thrashing about in her sleep next to you while you were squirming. Taka was shouting “Onee-chan! Onee-chan!” but then…” Anna begins to sob and turns away to cry into Victoria's shoulder. “And then…” Nessera picked up where Anna left off, “the young one stopped moving suddenly. When we checked on her she... wasn't breathing..." Your eyes widened as much as they possibly could as you turn your body and reach your arm out to Taka to just grab onto her. Every movement you made hurt, but you ignored all your pain. You placed your hand lightly around the kitsune's neck and felt… nothing, she wasn't breathing and she didn't even have a pulse. Tears started to flow down your face as you realized that Taka… was gone.

You awoke from an event that you were sure was a dream. But all you woke up to was a nightmare.

You wanted to keep your friends safe. You wanted to have a family. Then Adrian abandoned you, but that's okay because he had a Raiko to protect him right?

And you were going to get rid of that damn curse, only you weren't fast enough. And then you got angry and used the sun orb... and your little sister is dead.

And is your fault, sure you were injured and broken, but you could have tried something else, right?

No.

You are death and ruin. Your parents are dead. Your little sister is dead, your human sister is probably dead too, right?

After all you helped in that genocide, you were weak willed and got slaved by Sirens, you couldn't keep that shadow creature from hurting you.

What kind of hero uses necromancy anyway? You foolishly thought it would revive your parents but... on the end is Yuki the only one in the group that could do that.

And if you die then what? Will you rise as that no name man minion zombie?

You pick the din orb in your hands, it feels warm to the touch, wanting to be used.

But it would be pointless, right? this thing killed Taka and didn't even hurt that bastard.

You... you knew it was bad, why you couldn't just give...

Maybe... no, she can't do that, yet you are still going to go and ask. You pocket the sun orb. Pick Taka's death body and start to walk.

"I am off to see a witch." You say ignoring your friends and you start to walk to were Baba Yaga lives.

You and your friends cried for quite some time that morning. After a while though you asked everyone to politely leave you alone. Yuki places hand on your shoulder before she leaves. “It's going to be… alright.” She says while wavering when leaving. She didn’t truly believe in what she said but she had to say it for you. Aki weakly said, “If you say so…” as she left the tent. You then held Taka’s body in your arms. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry..” you whimper. She looked like she was peacefully sleeping in your arms. A slew of thoughts rushed through your mind.

Your string of thinking seemed endless but this was usually the time when the shadows appeared to attack your mind except you felt… silence. They always come when you are depressed and this would be THE time to act but instead they do nothing. There was no way you killed the curse since it was just a visage of Yuki at the final explosion, but you did manage to kill Taka. Maybe they aren’t talking because you are doing their job for them. “Those bastards…” you think to yourself as your mind goes over the possible ways the shadows could be toying with you. Your fingers began to curl in anger but looking again at Taka you set anger aside and instead breathe deeply. Your body still hurt overall but you didn’t have time to lose. You were heading to Yaga’s anyways maybe she could help. You pick up Taka’s body steel yourself. Nothing from this point to the witch matters besides getting to her. You will stop for absolutely no one and will only have eyes on the objective. This was your fault and no matter what happens you will see it through.
>>
>>555021

Your body ached all over and walking would be far beyond reason, but still, you moved. You had to. You walk outside your tent holding your sister. “What are you doing?! You need to rest!” Yuki shouts as she runs over to you, but you keep walking. “Hey! Stop and listen to me!” She grabs your shoulder but you keep walking. “Hey…” “I am going to see the witch.” You say plainly as you keep walking. “Yeah, but… Damnit!” Yuki ran over to all your friends and told them what you were doing. Or at least you think so since they joined you on your walk but they kept some distance behind you. Which was fine with you. While walking to the hut you were attacked by a pack of nearby wolves. You friends behind you sprung into action as they charged you but you ignored them and kept walking. You easy prey for these hunters. One of the wolves jumped at you once he got in distance and you met the eyes of your attacker. You had a cold and indifferent glare on you and you could see that the vicious animals eyes when from bloodthirsty to scared It was too late for him, though. Water from your open vial shot our and a stream encircled and condensed around the animals neck. There was a loud snap when the wolves neck twisted in unnatural directions and its body fell lifelessly to the ground. You made no comment, nor acknowledgement of what happened. The wolves turned around and ran from you knowing better. Your friends were surprised as they relaxed and continued to follow you in your march.

In the distance, there was a hut that slowly came closer and you could slowly see the chickens running around it and an old lady feeding them seed. The old woman notices you as you get closer. “Ahh, child or well, you do look a bit older since last time, hoho. What brings you back here?” You did not acknowledge the witch until you got closer and you held up Taka’s lifeless body to the witch. “Can you bring her back?” You didn’t think she could but you had to ask. Yaga notices the grim and heavy air, “Take her inside and lay her on one of the back beds, I’ll have to take a better look at her.” You follow the witch into her home.
>>
>>555032

She leads you to the room in question and you place Taka onto a bed and just sit and watch. “How long has it been?” “Maybe a quarter of a day.” “Hmmm,” The witch performs her examinations physically and finds no abnormalities. Then she breaks out some old potions and what looked to be alchemical pastes and ointments. She lights some incense and closes her eyes and starts chanting in a softer voice. You didn’t comment on anything only watch. Yaga hovered and then ran her hands over Taka’s body for almost a half an hour before coming out of trance and talking with you. “Her spirit is gone.” She waits for you to respond but you just wait for her to continue instead, “With her spirit gone you would have to summon it back to the body you have to go where the spirit died. And if possible find out what destroyed it. You had at least one of those things You pull the orb out of your pocket, it craves to be held by you, but you silenced all emotions and cravings and place it on the table. Yaga shakes her head, “I knew it. Where did she pass?” “Back at our camp.” “So she was killed with the orb at your camp?” “Well, no, it was an odd dream-like world where the pain was real and we were mortal. I used the orb there to destroy a shadow that was assaulting her but I killed her in the process.” “You were in your own subconscious? But how was she there with you was there any magics cast on you two?” “No.” You were cursed by that time already but that hadn’t done anything until this point, the only other think magical you did was those, familial blood rituations, which might have. “We did a blood ritual to become family.” “Ahhh!” The witch seems to be putting it all together. “That is an old ritual to make each other one and in essence family in ways. Depending on how much blood is consumed a number of things can happen, but it seems you two shared some connection, Could you feel her pain?” You nod, “Then you were connected subconsciously from that point on. That’s why she was able to be with you when those shadows invaded. And that is why perhaps her spirit still rests there.” “What are you saying?” “I am saying that the curse you have created that world in your subconscious to kill you. If you destroyed that world which you two shared a connection to then if her connection to you is strong enough her spirit may still be there. Somewhere.”
>>
>>555041

This was the first time you experienced emotion since you left camp this morning, “R-Really?!” you asked in both relief and eagerness. “Maybe… but you will need to go back to that world to find out. You will have to induce this sleep and you will be going in alone to find her. And even then the curse may have a hold of her. I can help you but after this is done I will need you to do something for me." The witch notices you lack of interest in helping her. I mean last time you went on an errand for her you got this damn curse! Nothing more dangerous than what you did for me last time. All I ask is that you meet with a young man in the continent about the accursed lands and help him run a few errands."

>"You can have the sun orb and take away my magic if you want. But I am not going to the cursed lands again. If I had never got there I would not have got the curse that killed Taka in the first place." While you desperately want Taka back it would be pointless if you got another curse or your friends got cursed again.

This. The sun orb is way more valuable that anything else. If anyone gets it and the night orb together they could basically rule the world

>>556440

Let's also tell Baba Yaga that we blame her for indirectly causing Taka's death and for not checking us for curses once we came back from that damn fetch quest.

“I propose another deal Yaga.” the witch raises and eyebrow. “If you help me save her then I will give you the Sun Orb. The artifact is absolutely wonder- Evil!” That was weird. “You sent me to those lands before and that is where I got the curse that caused this entire mess. I will not go there again. For who is to say I will not just get cursed once more?” The witch had no direct counter to your argument. “Very well, I will need some time to prepare the proper arrangements. In the meantime, you might wish to inform your companions about what will happen. I get the feeling that you did not speak to them munch on the way here.” She would be correct. The witch leaves the room as should you, but before you do you take a minute to hold onto Taka’s hand. “I’ll save you, Taka, I promise I will.”

When you exit the room your friends were already sitting in the main dining area, waiting. “Hey guys, Yaga says I can save Taka if she puts me to sleep so I am going to do that. Sorry about how I acted today, I was just, done.” “Done?” Anna asks. “Done with everything I guess, but now that there is a possibility of helping her I feel much better.” Anna got a smile on her face and said, “heh, to make it up to us you can look after the chickens tonight.” “Ha! Yeah right.” her small joke lightened the air as you sit back down with your friends. Yuki and Aki look concerned, “So what is going to happen?” “I am going to go into a dream, there is something, the curse or whatever is there and Taka might be too. If I can puller her out then she should come back to us.” “So you are going in, alone?” “I have to, the only reason Taka was there is because of the ritual we performed.” “But…” Yuki put her hand on your shoulder. After what happened today you couldn’t blame her questionably over concern for you. “Don’t worry Yuki I can fix this.” you put on a fake smile to try and soothe her, but the look on her face tells you it didn’t work.

Yaga comes back to the dining room a few hours later carrying an armful of potions and herbs. “Sorry young ones but dinner is cancelled tonight in lieu of what is about to happen.” She motions for you to go back to where Taka was and lays you down next to her. You do so readily.

“Here drink this and don’t move.” Yaga instructs, and you readily do so. “Now I will burn some incense and you will start to feel tired. You must know before going in like last time that the world may be in your subconscious but it can have a dramatic impact on your real self. Do not act recklessly or else you may also have your spirit ripped from your body.” You nod as you feel your eyes getting heavier. You hear your friends say “Good luck” as your consciousness begins to fade.

For you felt tired and slowly open your eyes. You were in… “My room?!” You look around nervously as it appears you woke up in your bed from back home. The sun was slowly starting to come up outside your window. But you couldn’t believe it.

>Wait, are you telling me that everything from that fateful night until now has just been some kind of dream?!
>I need to focus on finding Taka, no matter what this place may look like

"Now... where Taka would be?" Head to your human sister room.

If we are looking for Taka and you were back in your own room then since Taka is your sister she is likely in Lily’s room. You get up from bed when you hear an alarm go off on your nearby nightstand. You jumped back slightly at the sudden noise but then sighed when you found out what it was.

Once the alarm silences you hear the door to your room slowly opening. “Honestly that girl, I bet she is still asleep. She knows it's her first day of middle school doesn’t she?” You look to see your mother was the one who opened your door. “Mom?” “Oh so you are awake, I thought you would have slept through your alarm like you always do, but it seems you are taking becoming a middle schooler seriously.” “Mom?!”. “Yes, what is it? You sister is getting ready and you should follow her example.” Instead of listening to her you just hug her as hard as you physically could. Mom…” tears were starting to form in your eyes despite you knowing that this was all some subconscious realm. “Is something wrong dear!” “N-No I just had a bad dream is all.” “Alright well, you best get ready for your first day of school.”

So this is your first day of middle school, again? But why? Are you making this dream right now? Is the curse doing it? It hurts just thinking about it. But for now.

>Play along, for now, you might find Taka along the way
>I don't have time to waste with these memories. It's nice seeing your mom and all but you need to find Taka.

> "As much as it hurts me to admit it... you are not real." You ignore the fake mom and go to see your sister room.

You try to calm yourself down and tell yourself over and over again “this isn’t real.” after a second you step away from your mother and jus say, “As much as this hurts, you are not real…” You still had tears rolling down your eyes despite telling yourself over and over again that it wasn’t real as you walk past your mom. “Not real? What are you talking about? Hey, where are you going!” You mom asks, but to no avail. You walk out your room and march over to Lily’s you open the door to see your elder sister Lily changing into her school clothes, “W-W-What are you doing?!” she yells as you look at her then the room. “Lily…” Another tear falls before you shake it off. They weren’t really your family so you could barge on in and start searching through the room for any signs of your little sister. “Now what are you doing! First, you come in and then you go through my things, while I am still changing?!” She hastily is throwing on a skirt and trips over herself, landing face first into the carpet.

“Sorry Lily, but I am looking for a kitsune.” She responds with a voice muffled through carpet, “A what?!” “A girl with fox ears and tail. Kinda small and all that.” Lily pulls her head up, “are you okay?” “I’m fine, but I can’t see her anywhere.”

You search Lily’s room extensively but can’t find anything that would lead you to Taka or even resembles her. Nothing here even had foxes on it! Looks like this was a bit of a crap shoot, but while you were standing up you looked outside Lily’s window to see that it was a lovely morning back on earth. Blue skies and a slowly rising sun. It was perfect, nothing like that swirling mess of death and decay last time you were here.

If this was the first day of middle school after all then...

>Search the house more
>Maybe she is at school?
>>
>>560716
>Too perfect, this day wasn't like that. Were did you hide when the vampires were looking for you? First you went to your sister room, then you... left using the window. And then you ran into Mother. Could using the window do anything? Were would you hide if you were Taka?
>>
>>560757
>This. We are smart, let's figure it out.
>>
>>560757

“Hey, are you listening to me!” Lily shouts as you ignore her and think. You hear her stepping outside her room, probably to grab mom or dad, but it isn’t like that matters.

This day looks far too perfect from what you remember. Think, if you were Taka where would you hide in this strange place. All you can remember is when you were hiding from the vampires, first, you went to Lily’s then after running around the house you left out her window which led you to Mother on the streets. But Taka is a kitsune and a somewhat experienced spy. If she was hiding then it would be hard to find her. Which means…. She must be using an illusion of some sort to blend in. But as a kid in a world, she knew almost nothing about where would she try to blend in?

>As a school girl perhaps?

>Taka is not that good of a spy, to the school it is. Problem is, you look twelve; she won’t know is you.
>>
>>560854
>Yeah, to school. But you will have to do water magic or something so she knows is you.
>>
>>560854
>>560858

A good place for any young kid to blend in was school. “Alright school it is,” but she may not recognize you since you are 12 once again, not 15. But you are still able to use your water magic here so that would be a dead giveaway for her. You decide to get at least semi cleaned up for school by combing your hair and the rushing out the door. Your parents and sister tried to stop you but you blew them off with a, “I don’t want to be late for school.” when you didn’t even grab your backpack.

You were moving much faster than you did the first time this happened so you got to school faster than most everyone. It was open and the staff lets you in while you scoured the grounds for anything close to a kitsune, making sure to do minor water magic like swish some back and forth in your hands. But nothing. “Damn!” You were walking around fervently trying to figure it out when you heard the school bell ring and all the kids hurried to their classess. None of them stood out, well, except for one. “Hey! Why on earth did you leave so early this morning I missed you!” “Yuki, I am sorry but now is not the time.” “You are right!” she agreed, “Now is the time for class,” “That isn’t what I mean-” Yuki grabbed ahold of your arm and began dragging you to your first class of the day. “No Yuki stop!” If all of this wasn’t really how was Yuki’s unheard of strenght still real?” You wanted to fight back but at the same time maybe you could learn more about what was going on in class. At least you hope so since Yuki isn’t giving you an option.
>>
>>560945

Yuki drags you into class and comedically sits you down in a chair next to her’s. “Perfect” she announces as she smiles. The teacher talked to everyone once class officially began, “Class we have a new student coming in today.” This is new. You perk up. “She comes from a land far away so please be nice to her.” A kitsune girl walks into the class as the teacher announces, “Her name is Takakura,” You stand up from your seat and shout “Taka!” as your little sister walked into class. The whole class looks at you and the teacher says, “Sit down! She just got here don’t go giving her nicknames already!” The kitsune exchange student giggled and commented on the situation, “hehe, Taka, I like it actually. Everyone can call me Taka if you like. “ “O-Okay,” the teacher when along with it, “B-But miss Taka where do you want to sit. “How about that empty seat in the back next to that girl that gave me my nickname.” “Alright then, quickly get to your seat so class can begin.” “The kitsune’s gaze turns from the teacher to you. She smiles in your direction as she walks to her “assigned” seat. As she gets closer to you though her smile turns into a grin and you notice her eyes become a distinct black with red pupils. Oh no... “Pardon me,” she sarcastically says as she pulls up a seat next to you.

The red eyed kitsune propers her head with her elbow on the desk and head on her fist and smugly asks with a fitting grin, “So did you practice math at all over summer?”

>Do not toy with me spirit, demon, whatever you are, where is Taka?
>Play along, “No actually, did you?”

"The Sun Orb can burn the world, the night Orb can cover the world in eternal darkness, but only using them together their power can be truly controled. You knew who this must be and you didn’t want to play any more of their games. You lean in toward your new neighbor and start talking,"The Sun Orb can burn the world, the night Orb can cover the world in eternal darkness, but only using them together their power can be truly controlled. If your master had both, why couldn't he use the Sun Orb? Is he is too far gone in the darkness?" You try to appear calm and controlled and try to relax. "Answer me and I will tell you what I am truly scared of." “Oho, so you attempt to bargain for knowledge? I must say it is better than getting angry and blowing everything up but I still don’t know which is the most effective.” “Quiet and answer me!” You were getting angrier by the second you dealt with this smug bitch. “I-Is everything okay?” Yuki asks. She was looking over to your escalating argument. You calm down slowly, “Yeah Yuki we just might have to go to the nurse soon.” “Both the creature and Yuki seemed confused as you raised your hand.

“Yes young miss?” the teacher asked, “Sorry but Taka has a really bad stomach ache, may I help her to the nurse's office since she is new?” “Stomach ache?” the fake tata says in confusion as your elbow slams into her abdomen. The force you put into the blow was enough to make her hunch her over and smack her head on the table in front of her. “My that looks awful. Please hurry immediately!” The teacher implores you. You stand up and grab “Taka” by the arm and pull her out of the class and outside school doors where you toss her against the wall. “Tell, me.”

The girl holds her stomach and coughs and somehow stays smug through the pain she was no doubt experiencing. “Father works in mysterious ways, I don’t know if he has the Night Orb but you clearly have the Sun Orb, which if you don’t mind me helping maybe you want to put down? Last time it was in your hands you blew up everything.” “What are you!” You look down to your left hand and found the warm arm resting in your palm. “But how…” “Haha, It’s like you don’t even know yourself! I have been here for only a month and I could tell you more about yourself than you ever could.” “Shut up!” “Fine but you promised to answer my question, Who are you truly afraid of?” And I should better like your answer, Lest I decide to kill your favorite kitsune. Hehe…”

Who are you the most afraid of?
>One of your friends (which)

"I am truly afraid of Loss. To lose everyone I care about. I lost my parents and my home. I lost years of my life thanks to a curse. I am afraid of losing my mind, and now I lost my little sister. But let me tell you something, you are wrong. He is not your father, but you master. All his servants are mere slaves to him that he rules with fear and dark magic. And you are no different. In fact if he wins and gets me as his new pet, what do you think will happen to you? You will be no longer needed and you will be discarded. You are in my head so you know I am saying the truth."

This fits. Every time we backed down of a fight was more from fear of losing people we care about than us dying.

As It turns out I have another doctors appointment on tuesday around 6, but this SHOULD be the last one. I won't be on until 8pm PST Tuesday now. Sorry.
