Welcome everyone, to the first ever Spork Quest, where we embark on a misterious and strange journey to achieve our life goal of becoming the best chef that has ever existed!

Of course in the strange universe of Spork Quest that involves being able to hunt and cook the tastiest creatures that exist. That also happen to be deadly monsters that can kill a normal human being in seconds! Also some foods must be prepared with extremely precision or the results end in disaster. Is said that it was a Gydra Souffle that sank Atlantic City after all.

You play the part of Sarah "Candy" Spork, a kitchen aide stuck in one of the worst kitchens in the city of Blue Bay US. You don't like your job but it pays the rent.

But that has changed since yesterday, when you found out your Uncle Charlie Spork has called you to be his aprendice!

No he doesn't have a chocolate factory, he owns most of the shares of a company that makes socks, why do you ask?

You have three days left to put your leftover business in order and then you will take a train to see your uncle. Unfortunately he insisted on you finishing anything that had to be finished instead of going to see him right away.

#Data entry: Gydra Souffle

A Gydra is the miniature cousin of a Hydra, rarely bigger than a horse and ten times more poisonus unless prepared the correct way. If prepared the wrong way it can cause disastrous magical effects.

A Gydra Souffle is ranked S in difficulty and is the fourth most expensive desert a chef can make.#

*It's currently 3am on a Monday morning. What will you do?*

You wake up and see the dancing mouse in the table, is dancing as it slowly eats the flower seed you placed there as bait. Slowly you reach for your butterfly net, and try to catch the mouse.

You swing the net with perfect precision, like you have done hundreds of times before and...

BANG!

You knock out the dancing mouse with the border of it. Then you store the rodent in the metal mouse cage that you bought just for that.

#Data entry: Dancing Mouse

A dancing mouse is one of the most common ingredients found in cities. Dancing mouses have long fluffly tails like the common farm mouse but they tend to dance when they eat seeds. However one should check the health state of the dancing mouse before using it as ingredient, since like many rodents it can carry diseases that afect humans.

The dancing mouse can also be used as bait to capture or kill othet ingredients.#

*You got a dancing mouse! Now what will you do?*

A) >Sleep almost two hours more.
B) >You are awake now, take a bath.

You decide to take a bath, one of the few luxuries you allow yourself due to just being a kitchen aide. Most of the time you just take a quick shower but since is only a few days until you move with your Uncle you decide today is worth it.

As you relax on the warm water in the tub you examine yourself. Once again lamenting that you look so... plain. You are not ugly but also not what one would call beautiful. The only good thing about yourself is your long blonde hair, even if wearing a hair net and using all those hair care products sometimes makes you wish that you would just cut it shorter already.

Once your bath is done, you stare at your ugly gray eyes as you dry yourself and later wash your teeth then use dental floss. You might not have the body of a supermodel, but besides the long hair, you have the right body to be a great chef!

That's right, is hard to be depressed when you finally caught that damn dancing mouse after two weeks of wasting seeds.

*Now Candy, breakfast is the most important food in the day, so what's gonna be?*

A) >Pancakes!
B) >Fruit, is healthy and saves time.

×××Recipe: Apple and Cheddar Tartine

INGREDIENTS

1/2 small baguette (5 ounces), split lengthwise, then crosswise.

2 tablespoons of apple butter.

1/2 apple, thinly sliced.

2 ounces Cheddar, sliced.

DIRECTIONS

Heat broiler. Broil the baguette until lightly toasted, 1 to 2 minutes. Dividing evenly, top with the apple butter, apple, and Cheddar. Broil until the Cheddar has melted, 2 to 3 minutes.××

After eating the tartine, your hunger has been satisfied. Sure it was basically a sandwich but it was fast and is not like you had many ingredients after all.

*You have one hour and twenty minutes until you have to be at work, what will you do Candy?"

A) >Get into your work clothes already and head out early. That will save you the bus fare.
B) >Check on the dancing mouse.

You decide to meditate to find your inner chef, since this is something you have been doing for years to avoid murdering someone in your job, it comes easily.

+"So you are an aprendice of the Way of the Chef. Then try to remember a few things before we start.

There is no recipe too difficult or any ingredient that's impossible to get.

If the recipe doesn't work then try something else that works. If the ingredient doesn't exist, find a replacement.

No matter how irritating the client can be, don't lose your pacience, you can do that when you become a master chef and get aprendices to yell at. What you do out if work hours as stress relief is private, just never let it affect the job.

Always practice your skill with the knifes, be always vigilant for rodents that will get your restaurant closed down and beware of recipe thieves. Good hygiene helps prevent the first and never writing the full recipe down the second.

Even so, no recipe is eternal, eventually someone will figure it out. That's why you should never get complacent, you should always strive to do better and remember to make the client feel confortable, so it will come back even if your food isn't the best.

There is always room for improvement, even if your eyes cannot see and your hands can barely move, that doesn't mean you should give up. There is always the next generation to teach.

Anyone can cook but not everyone can master it. To be a chef is not a hobby, is a way of life.

@To be continued...
>>
>>542973

Remember that your body if your temple and you can always have too much of something good, when preparing food remember to taste, not to eat.

A true chef hunts it's own ingredients so it's body must be in perfect shape.

The difference of a chef and a cook is that a cook always does the safe recipes, while a chef could destroy a whole civilisation with a mistake.

Some would say, then why be a chef? Because a chef dishes can do miracles. The chef Moebios freed his whole tribe of slavery by cooking an S class recipe to the Faraon of Egypt. The chef Alexandra conquered the whole know world in her time by expreading the Macedonian cuisine.

And that's not even the most amazing thing a chef can do. By eating the right food and taking care of it's body, a master chef can live for hundreds of years. It's said the first Emperors of China had several master chefs at their service in an atempt to become inmortal.

Then, is a chef a magus, an alchemist? No is the other way around, all magus and alchemists are chefs. A magus eats forbidden recipies to obtain power and become inhuman, and with that the ability to do magic directly. An alchemist tries to stript down recipies to the bare basics, to known what gives a unsafe recipe it's magical effects and then try to reproduce it with science.

Both are paths unworthy of a true chef, a magus eventually becomes little more than a mere monster and an alchemist rarely gets the same results than a master chef because cooking is not just a science, it's also art.

While is true that all safe recipies and even some unsafe ones can be done just following exact instructions, when it comes to A and S class recipies things change.

And that's enough for now. As your first task, you will learn how to catch a dancing mouse."+

*After mentality reciting the first page of the handwritten manual your mother left you, you do realise that you have finally mastered the first task. But you should not go beyond the third task without a teacher. What will you do now Candy?*

A) >Get into your work clothes already and head out to work. Too late to go walking so just take the bus.

You sundenly notice a box over the table, a box that wasn't there before. Did someone slip inside your apartment while you were taking a bath? You must not have noticed before because you tend to eat in the kitchen.

You aproach it carefully and poke the box with your butterfly net. Nothing happens.

You got A Glorious Chef Hat +1!!!

Wow... just wow. You would need two years worth of your current salary to pay for one of these things. A hat that just by wearing it, increases your cooking ability. You keep looking inside the box and even outside and under it, but there is no letter or card saying who sent it.

Wait... what if it's fake or a trap? You carefully put the hat back in the box. The box can't be a Mimic, or it would have attacked you as soon as you touched the hat. Maybe the hat is cursed but needs to be weared for the curse to take effect.

Wait... you are late!

You quickly get into your work clothes and head out to work. Way too late to go walking so you take the bus. You were lucky to catch it, the next one would have made you get to work late for real.

You arrive at work with five minutes to spare, just how long did you expend admiring the chef hat +1 like an idiot? No matter. You have a lot of potatoes to peel.

Then it's veggies to cut like you were in a ginzu knife commercial, only better because the knifes you use aren't crap. And then it's floor clearing, dish washing and so on. That's the life of a kitchen aide, not counting the yelling and the blaming when things go wrong.

Cooking? You? You are just the kitchen aide, you can only cook at work by following exact instructions from one of the cooks. And that only when the restaurant has to many clients, usually on weekends.

Finally, finally, after just a ten minute lunch break, is three in the afternoon and the place is closed until the night shift, the one you declined to work at even if you could use the extra pay. Now the pace relaxed since is just cleaning and the last client left five minutes ago.

*What now?*

A) >Socialise a bit with people you won't see any longer in three days. B) > Hurry up and finish already!
C) > Tell your coworkers about the mistery gift you got.
D) >Eh... where is Alex? She usually finishes last.

You decide to talk and socialize a bit. You aren't very good at it so it mostly consist in talking about the weather and asking if they had done anything interesting lately. You already told them that you are leaving in three days so you don't know what else to talk about.

"Hey Candy, why do you want to be a chef so bad?"

*Well Candy, what will you respond?*

A) >Because is tradition in my family
B) > Because I love to eat and make food.

Yo, faggot running this. You're legitimately stealing other people's writing (specifically that made by the Spookquest QM) and changing it to suit fucking cooking. You're a fucking dickhead and I have no idea why anyone would want to read this quest. Fuck off

Yeah I am totally stealing material from one of the ten quests in this site that have undead or necromancer as protagonists.

I definitely never read a manga called Gourmet Hunters, or Hunter X Hunter or even watched a cartoon called Chowder.

"Because I love to eat and make food. Sure being a chef is not easy, but is what I want to do. How else will I rver get to cook and eat everything I want?"

"Well, I think is suicidal but whatever."

After a bit more talking you head back home. It was weird that Alex left so fast but is not your problem, maybe she had a date or something.

*Now Candy, what will you do the rest of the day?*

A) >Take that chef hat +1 be looked by an expert.

You are tired and decide to take a nap. Your dreams are filled with pancakes with maple syrup and cherries on top. Dancing mouses and hydras, giant colorful eggs that are guarded by dragons that have chocolate breath and... well your dreams usually are weird.

After you wake up you do your usual jog around the neighbourhood and see Alex entering a creepy looking house.

*What to do?*

A) > Ask her what's going on
B) > Not your problem, keep joging.
C) > Be the ninja!
