You are a vessel of Ash. You have been awakened to seek Other vessels of might and brilliance. Together, you will start the faded age of fire.

Your journey is far from complete, yet, you faced a handful of grave challenges; from Fallen prince yearning for his beloved to Soulless children, bound by banners.

"What do you have here?" his voice was somewhat sinister "Yet another lamb lost in woods, hmmm...."

He saw the hostility in your eyes "There is no need to fret. I am Silverarm Regras." He spotted your soap stone dangling your side.

"A soapstone, have we? What good comes out of 'helping' folks in other worlds? By helping them...you are making them weak. Reliable to outside aid. Take this peaceful gesture of mine and allow me to crush this symbol of weakness..."

The poison running in your veins blurred your vision. As you progressed further in the Marshes, you started to pant heavily.

You found the savage's village down the road, the wooden palisade surrounding the village didn't provide much of protection in its current state. there were a lot of corpses littered around the village. Their attire looked very similar to brother Dannol

None was guarding the gates of the village; All of the savages were gathered in the middle of the village Witnessing a brutal fight between two beasts.

A axe made its way to your back as you were trying to outrun the horde of savage, Ultimately you collapsed in the tar, unable to get up.

You felt something coiling around your leg, it slowly dragged you into the depths below....

____

You opened your eyes, you haven't died just . You were inside a cave of sorts filled with putrid stench. You found a small deformed child who had lots of unnatural orifices and yellow blisters all over his body. Small tendrils would occasionally poke from said orifices.

The child was kissing the feet of a once majestic creature resembling a slender woman. She was in decay and yet you could fear some faint breathing...mostly expressing pure pain and agony.

"Mother! Mother! I-I brought another one! Another who will serve you most esteemed flesh!" The child kissed the rotten feet of his 'mother'.

You looked at you left arm , it was oozing with yellow pus, you could feel something trying to get out of arm.

She had a visible hole above her breast, you could hear something slithering in said hole. The child wheezed " Lady Nisn, please! be gentle to the new one. I sense some great potential in her!"

The knight ignored the words of the child "You, you are bound to serve our queen whether you liked it or not. Her children in your arm will provide you immunity to various toxins in this world. The very sight of our queen's children will scare off many bastards from above like those savages."

She paused for a moment "Bring the flesh of great beings, feed it to our queen to gain more of her children . Or if you that much of a fool, bring more flesh of great beings to 'get rid' of this glorious gift."

>Children of the Husk

A gift bestowed upon members of the covenant of Flesh. The tendrils can prove useful in various situations. They are terribly weak against fire so caution is advised.

Mefew was a beloved queen of Worria. The Holy dream of Livendagen left her and her people as lifeless husks, devoid of fire instead of outright consuming them as some sort of a twisted joke. A fate worse than undeath.

Well that seals the deal.

I already notified you via my twitter and the ongoing quest thread. Friday usually harbors good traffic but not for me apparently.

I don't know what to say really.

What a shame.
>>
>>77563
I'm the guy that went off to buy groceries the other day, op.

I'm gonna give you a couple tips here, no offense.
First, as someone who's done shit like this themself, here's a good tip. More details.

Describe the areas you're in, somehow, better than this.

You write of beasts, and then those beasts aren't described well. Just that they're "huge and fighting". In a dark souls quest.

Does one have massive teeth, that look to be the size of daggers? Does another have wings, that can be used to dodge attacks?

The key to make this quest interesting again is to elaborate. Elaborate on the fights.

For example, you wrote earlier, "Witnessed a brutal fight between two beasts. None of them was chained or something, these beasts ignored the cheering crowd entirely."

Something closer to this could have been more effective.

"Two monstrous beasts laid in the center. One resembled a massive dog, drooling and ravenous for the flesh of it's foe. It's foe resembled nothing more than some flightless bird, it's wings long ripped out, desperately trying to fight the beast before it. They circled, snapping at each other, desperately trying to get in blows to devour the other first as the croud cheered them on. Faintly, you can spot the bloodstains showing that the dog had ripped out the wings of the bird beast long before."

You're in dark souls, but for all that's holy, use enemy designs loosely based on it, and be DESCRIPTIVE. Elaborate. Elaborate everything, even if you don't think you need to.

Next? You're on /qst/, not on /tg/. Right now, this is a very experimental board for everyone involved. That means most of the readerbase you'll have is still back on /tg/ no matter how many trolls insist people take it to here.
>>
>>80537
First of all. Thank you for taking your time to write this down. It shows that you actually do care.

While i think this is an issue, it doesnt fully justify the loss of intrest by anons. I should mention that i write almost everything on the go. As you know, these things takes a lot of time. Prewritten stuff doesnt work out for me due to the nature of the quest. That and the demand for quick updates.

Nevertheless, you gave me a trickle of hope. I am grateful for that. I will give this quest one last chance before abandoning it thanks to you

Go easty

You headed to the east, The children inside your arm kept wiggling giving you a sense of unease. This part of the marshes had thicker tars and various pits waiting to gulp unsuspecting travelers.

A savage who had a couple of small dogs strapped on his back spotted you. Crude and unrelenting words escaped his mouth. A torrent of tar followed his words but the children of husk deflected it. You and the savage were surprised by this revelation.

The pyromancer gasped. You could see conflict burrowing in his eyes. He chose to turn his back on you . he was fleeing the scene.

You tried to grab him but the savage managed to free himself from your slimy clutches. In mere moments, he fled the scene.

Your tendrils slammed the tar in front of you in fustration, they slimed back to your arm afterwards. a red glow was below your feet.

It was a summon sign for a dark spirit.

"Silverarm Regras"

>Summon the dark spirit
>Ignore the summon sign, Head E/W/S/N
>Leave Black Marshes
>Something else?
