Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you cloned yourself and then accidentally imparted said clone with false memories.

It is currently the 5th of Yuddha, in the year 936 NH.

This is less than ideal, you'd been hoping for a servant without a will of its own and that doesn't seem to be what you've created here. Your replica scrambles away from you, rising swiftly to his feet but stumbling as he tries to support his own weight. Forced to support himself on the edge of the counter, he glares at you as though you were the one responsible for his present weakness. In a way you sort of are, but that's hardly the point. Far more important is the question: Do you really look that petulant when you're angry?

It feels strange to quite literally talk to yourself, or at least a shorter version of yourself. “Well, to summarize the last day or so I created you as an experiment to see if I could turn a copy of my body into a mindless golem which could fetch me things and maybe confuse my friends. Instead I got you, and I'm not quite sure what to do with you.”

“Created me?” He ask, or do you ask? You're going to need to figure out something to call this bastard creation of yours. “That's nonsense, I was born a citizen of Rhynia in the two thousand two hundred and sixth year after that great city's founding. To claim that a meager barbarian could possibly hope to create a man such as I is absolutely idiotic, and I would appreciate it if you would refrain from such wild nonsense in the future.”

You have a very bad feeling about this. “Your name wouldn't happen to be Mercurius, would it? Dux of Licae, Centurion in the Imperial Rhynian Army. Specialized in infiltration, sabotage, and urban combat with secondary training as a Vatis.”

Casting about the room, your replica seizes upon a small hammer from your workbench and raises it above his head. The gesture might be threatening in other circumstances. “How do you so much about me, scum?” Wrath drips from every syllable, though he falters as he glances about the room. “And where is it that you've imprisoned me?”

You're really getting tired of this charade. Focusing your will, you're able to manifest a mirror standing just beside you such that your replica, or Mercurius as he prefers to be called, can see himself and easily compare. “I know this about you because I am you. Rather, you are a vestigial remnant of a false memory which until now I've more or less ignored. You were never a real person. I created you an hour ago. I could just as easily destroy you in an instant.”

>>
“The realm you reside in lies within the territory of one of my allies, a spirit of great power whom I've frequently offered aid. In this place, I am as close to a god as any individual mortal is capable of being.” That's not entirely true, you'd probably have more absolute power if you had constructed a palace in the void, but you doubt this version of you, or this glorified Rhynian training program rather, knows that.

Mercurius allows his arm to fall, the hammer coming to rest on the counter as he stares at his reflection in the mirror. With obvious reluctance he places a hand lightly on the curve of his horns, recoiling in horror but a moment later. “I'm a freak.” He mutters, more to himself than to you. “What sort of abominable monster are you, that you would create such a thing as I?”

An incompetent one, apparently. You hadn't really intended this, but nor do you really feel sorry for... yourself? He's not real, he's not even a halfway decent imitation. Which raises the question of just what exactly you're supposed to do with him. You could kill him, but that seems like a bit of a waste. You might also simply leave him here, but to do what? Lounge around and be miserable? That doesn't sound particularly useful.

>Just get rid of him, nobody else needs to know about this.
>At least freak out your friends a little bit, get some use out of the thing.
>Call Fulvia down here, maybe she could help you deal with this situation.
>You suppose those cells in the basement will be getting some use. Lock him away for now.

I think we all need to have a serious discussion pertaining to the fact that our gracious quest master known as Soma. He is not the proficient writer we once thought him to be, in all actuality he is a hack and a fraud peddling low quality goods, he is equatable to the snake oil salesmen of yore. We have seen him throw out worthless and petty drama time and time again yet accepted his skill as a writer nonetheless, we suck in his scenes of mindless violence like a starving calf does his mothers teat, we do this even though it is obscenely obvious to even the lowest of the common plebes that violence could be written by a third grader. For far too long have we debased ourselves reveling in simple adrenaline evoking scenes and suffering through mindless drivel between. I say it is high time that we demand of Soma a higher quality quest and that he should be held accountable for his poorly thought out setting and plot lines that are so blatantly come up with on the spot. I personally have spent several weeks deep within the bowels of the beast known as the ircabal and in my times there I have gathered evidence which leads me to believe there is a origin point for all the flaws which our quest master has. I propose that soma is a autisitc pedophile lacking in the common moral fiber that binds upstanding society, I assert this to have been the driving factor in his early leave from home as he had made unwelcome sexual advances upon his underage sister possibly even raping her. The resulting social backlash and banishment from his normal everyday life would be an extreme stress factor to someone with autism, leading to him seeking a way to vent his frustrations in some way. That way is Banished Quest; Banished Quest is an autisitc pedophiles emotional vent enabled and allowed to continue for far too long. I thank you for your time reading all of this my fellow questing individuals and I welcome all constructive criticism.

Optimistic
>>
Reaching out through the brooches, your mind alighted upon the vast, incomprehensible mass that composed Fulvia's inner workings. {Could you join me in the workshop? There's something I want to get your opinion on.}

Her response came immediately, lacking the overwhelming force it usually carried. {I'll be with you in a moment, as soon as I've finished making the preparations Mortia requested.}

You severed the connection with that, turning your attention once more to your replica. “I'm having a friend come down to take a look at you, hopefully she knows more about this sort of thing than I do. In the meantime...” You trailed off, examining this other version of you in a little more detail. You wonder, has his self-image altered itself to reflect what your own was upon your first meeting with Fulvia, or did he know see himself as an exceptionally tall human? That's how you seemed to perceive yourself in the strange simulated reality the device created for you.

Channeling your vys, you began to rot the flesh from your replica's bone. However you stopped short of replacing the flesh you destroyed upon realizing that your vys was affecting not only his body, but your own as well. A fair portion of your throat had simply fallen away slapping wetly against the floor of the workshop and revealing twitching tendons and bloody muscle underneath.

You had an increasingly bad feeling about all this, but to confirm your suspicions you tried to heal yourself without doing the same for Mercurius. As expected skin crept across the bared expanse of gore where his throat used to be, his healing mirroring your own exactly. There was no difference between the two patches of healed skin, his self-image didn't seem changed by his selective memory, as it were.

Fulvia passed from the alchemy lab into the workshop only a few moments later, just as you'd finished destroying any trace of the discarded flesh. Mercurius was still staring at you with an expression of abject horror, a hand resting on his neck, but you paid him little mind.

Your artificial companion paused in midstep at the sight of you and the other version of you standing in the same room together. If she had a face with which to make expressions, you're sure she'd be quite confused right about now. However, considering she had only a single, glowing blue eye in the center of her head and no mouth to speak of there was no outward sign of the chaotic flurry of thoughts running through her head in this moment.
(1/2)
>>
{Duces Mikhaels, is this what you wished my opinion on?} You note that she'd switched to the plural, apparently for now deciding to recognize both of you as her commanding officer.

Mercurius took issue with this idea. “This barbarian is no officer of Rhynia!” He shouted with all the fire and passion of a man filled with righteous indignation. “He is a mere impostor to the title of Dux, I am your true-” Whatever else he had to say, it was lost in a fit of coughing which you were likewise forced to suffer through, the effort of silencing him necessitating that you likewise be silenced.

It seemed as though there was nothing you could do to him that you did not also suffer. However, unlike your replica you had the communication brooch. {He's an experiment gone wrong. I thought I could create a golem by making a facsimile of my actual body and enchanting its shell with a runic array designed to generate a soul.}

Fulvia stands at the opposite end of the room in silence, apparently still struggling with the idea that there could be two of you. {My knowledge of enchanting is limited, but the creation of an artificial shell was the goal of my Creator. Based on records relating to my sisters, I believe that you have likely created an artificial shard by condensing a measure of husk and stripping it away of its impurities. By doing so with the undamaged husk of a living creature, you have likely created a form of golem we referred to as a homunculus.}

Your throat was terribly dry, but for now you ignored that fact. {And what sort of properties do homonculi have? Are they dangerous?}

{Not exceptionally.} She didn't seem wholly confident in that pronouncement. {They have a worrying tendency to try and replace their creators, but are limited in the extent of their power and often rendered mentally deficient by the method of their creation. However, you appear to have made a mistake in the process of creating this other version of you. A homonculus should not maintain any metaphysical attachment to its creator. I am unsure what procedure one should follow in the event that such attachment is present.}

Mercurius has recovered, but a sharp look keeps him silent. He folds his arms moodily across his chest, glaring at you from his position by the door. It's fortunate he hasn't figured out that just as you're able to manipulate your realm, so to is he. At least, that's your present assumption. Considering every effect upon one of you is mirrored upon the other, that would seem logical.

{What happens if we just leave things like this?} Your mind brushes against Fulvia's own, brief snatches of alien sensations filtering through the connection. {Would I be at risk in any way, shape, or form?}

She carefully steeples her metallic fingers, actually considering your question for several seconds. {I am not aware of any case in which a connection of this sort was formed and allowed to persist. Most of the records I have presently available only theorize that a mistake such as the one you've made might be possible, but there are no accounts of it happening in truth. That being said, aforementioned theories suggest that the state would eventually lead to the fragmentation of not only the homonculi's shell, but the creator's as well. It would likely be slowly cracked and torn apart by the stresses placed upon it by reality.}

That doesn't sound good, it sounds like it would lead to first a gradual weakening in what defines the self and then eventually death. {What if I destroyed his shell, would that destroy the connection?}

{Perhaps, but I can offer no guarantees.} Fulvia's glowing eye suddenly contracts, until only a dim blue point rest at the very center of her head. {However, I have reason to believe that the destruction of the shell may lead to undesirable effects upon the artificial shard. There are accounts of containment breaches in laboratory settings leading to the deaths of hundreds of researchers as the energy contained within the shard is released in the form of a violent burst of vys. The details regarding such events are not readily available, but logic would dictate such a large release of energy in so small an area could lead to rupturing the fabric of reality.}

Perhaps that is why the Rhynians disavowed the practice of directly creating husk. Too difficult to contain, and dangerous if compromised. On the other hand, Rhynian generators are not exactly safe. You've seen them rip open roaming portals into the void which spit forth untold horrors and destroyed entire villages. The idea of something being more dangerous is almost hard to imagine. {What if I replaced his shell, say with a copy of Devika's?}

Fulvia doesn't seem to understand the question at first, but gradually she's able to parse what it is you're asking. {I know of no method by which what you describe could possibly be accomplished. Perfectly recreating the entirety of one's body is a task of immense difficulty. Picking apart the millions of strings which define an individual to select only those which define the shell and then copying that aspect of a person and inserting it into the body of another would be impossible even for Rhynia's most skilled enchanters.}

So you've created a walking weapon of war, upon Mercurius' death it seems he'll likely destroy everything within a fairly large area and potentially cause a breach between the base reality and the void. You're... not quite sure what to do about this if you're being honest. That's not even addressing the fact that if he dies, you'll likely die as well should you leave matters as they are now.

>Try to disenchant his shell, by severing those strings you added in.

But he is linked to us. So here's what we should do:
When we ascend, our soul leaves our body. We should force him to ascend by mimicking the ascension we perform in his soul. If it ends up getting sucked into the afterlife or whatever then so be it. Then, once his soul is safe and sound outside his body we can disconnect and shatter his shell which is what's linking him to us. Once that's gone we can do whatever we want with the artificial shard and husk. For example, we could put the artificial shard into a clone of Devika's body, as was mentioned by >>553817

Hello fellow questers, seeing as you liked my last informative post so much I have decided to make another. It has come to my attention that quests are on a downward trend as of late. I believe I have found the root cause to this spiral of madness, from my findings all signs point to our dear soma as the culprit. He seems to have abused his power as a qm to raise a group of violent shitposters, and then unleashed them onto /tg/ by purposefully writing slowly and not running when he said he would. These shitposters would go on to make the disgusting cesspit known as /qtg/, which is well known for being a blight on the questing community as a whole. These monsters antagonized the /tg/ community, flooding their board with offtopic and useless threads leading to quests being cast out. With the creation of /qst/ your average quester such as you and I were locked into a cage with the beasts of shitposting. All of these things having been orchestrated by soma have lead to the slow and painful death of questing and the quest community, with quality of writing dwindling and the communities IQ having dropped severely. Truly soma is a deplorable man who must be dealt with in some way. Recently I had decided to do some thorough research into the beast and I have discovered this. (See Image) Soma has done other such acts before on various other websites, on the site to which this profile belongs soma has ruined the community with his subpar writing ability and following of mindless drones willing to defend their slave master. This site was once a bastion of well written original content and boasted a calm and courteous community, at somas arrival his taint slowly but surely destroyed this purity. Bringing in off topic posts i.e. gamergate, they drove off all remnants of the former community and left the site a hollow shell of its former self. But it's not too late for us, if we drive off this monster and his kin we may yet save quests before they slip into the event horizon.

I'm afraid the rabbit hole goes much deeper than that. You see, over the last few months I have been investigating the source behind the staff's decision to create /qst/ as it could only have been a deliberate attempt at ending questing as whole. Why else would an executive decision be made that would so obviously splinter the questing community? But I digress. Over the months of my investigation I managed to pinpoint one such moderator by the name of RapeApe as the root cause for this shift and have been tracking him closely. He's made a few waves throughout the 4chan staff and other parts of the internet and has rarely been known to make good decisions.

I'll spare you the details of my investigation, but know that of the many trails that I've followed and rabbit holes I've dove into, one such internet community came to mind after reading this anons post. A small writing community for aspiring authors; I couldn't discern the reason why Ape would be visiting such a place and eventually marked it off as a passing interest of his. But after reading this anon's post and recognizing the site, I felt a chill run down my spine. I wanted to chalk it up to coincidence but reminded myself that coincidences don't exist. I went back to the community found Soma's profile that the kind anon mentioned in his post and hacked into the account (a simple enough affair; the man's password was his sister's name). Going through the private messages I found this little message sitting in his inbox from several years ago (pic related). As you can see, in October of 2013 RapeApe approached Soma on this quaint little writing community (which he was apparently in the process of ruining) offering some kind of compensation for performing a job that would take years to complete.

Please keep in mind that this was about five months before Soma began Banished Quest, giving him ample time to build his setting. Further analysis of other results of my investigations revealed that the two have been in contact a number of other times, with the subject of money transfer occurring more than once (despite my strong disdain for this cancerous moderator, I have an even stronger disdain for the process of doxing others and won't be releasing any account details). With the previous anon's analysis in mind, I think it can be safely concluded that RapeApe paid Soma to utilize his apparent skill in disrupting communities by creating Banished Quest in an effort to kill questing once and forall.

cont.
>>
>>554664
I'm actually curious about why he or she would write out such a large and thought out piece
>>
>>554680
Thus far, he’s been fairly successful. Soma’s proven ability to raise a following of rampant shitposters and encouraging others to follow in his footsteps in the creation of other low quality quests has resulted in the creation of /qst/, as masterstroke in the death of questing as a medium. Most recently the chaos created and managed by Soma has allowed Ape to gain enough power to ban questing from all other boards, which can only serve as yet another nail in the coffin. While RapeApe is certainly the mastermind behind the downfall of this wonderful medium we all know and love, it is certainly apparent that Soma just as great a contributor as he. I hope you all find this information useful to your own prosecution of Soma, as I must return my focus to the Ape.

May we yet prevail against the evil plaguing this site,
Your friendly neighborhood Whitehat Hacker.

One such thread alights briefly upon your soul before recoiling, and then as a unified mass they surge towards you. As though the teeth of some vile creature they sink into your husk, shredding what memories were contained there and ripping away several enormous chunks of your soul before rapidly snapping back into place, and beginning to integrate these stolen memories into the husk of your clone.

Thank you for enlightening me to these things that I had let slip past my gaze, I truly had no idea just how deplorable this man was. To think such a deep network of boogeymen was sitting underneath our noses all this time. It is rather hard to believe I had thought myself so intelligent yet I was merely still staring at the shadows on the wall. These men and their colluding honestly make me sick to my stomach, luckily the world has men like you to save us in our time of need. Honestly Soma and this man RapeApe are a plague upon society itself, not just questing, by merely existing they make us worse as a species. With RapeApes meddeling and malicious intent and Somas inferior writing and following of reprobates they could full well destroy it all if left unchecked.

You ruminate on the issue for a time. You've rapidly exhausted yourself and the day has really only just begun, but you don't think you have much choice in this situation but to ascend. You'll need the degree of control which being untethered from your mortal coil allows. Yet, it occurs to you that the cost to ascend may be doubled due to the fact that channeling husk into your shell, should probably necessitate Mercurius doing the same. Yet, upon your initial inspection of his soul he lacked husk entirely, yet seems fully functional.

You decide to figure it out as you go along. {Thank you Fulvia, I think I've decided upon a course of action. I would appreciate if you watched over my body for a time to ensure nothing happens to it in my absence.}

She doesn't really get a chance to respond as you focus your desires, your memories, and your thoughts towards what you know by instinct is a singular point on some level of the base reality corresponding with an area at the center of your chest. Those most vital aspects of your personality are slowly drained away, reduced to their most essential elements so that they may fuel the separation of your soul from your body.
>Vys Pool: (19/[19])

It takes an inordinate amount of power, but eventually you feel the bonds placed upon your soul go slack, and as an ethereal projecting you slip from the confines of your physical form to drift freely through the air. The effect is mirrored for a very, very confused Mercurius, who seems to be thrashing his limbs wildly through the air while remaining totally uncomprehending of what it is he's just experienced.

You note with some minor curiosity that he does not wear the same clothing that you do. Rather, he's adorned in what you'd call typically Rhynian garb. A loose toga is draped across his form, patterned at the hem with elaborate designs wrought in gold. An enormous pendant sits upon his chest, resembling a pair of crossed swords resting within a laurel wreath. His horns a similarly covered in living ivy, its composition and position constantly shifting as it grows and rots seemingly at random.

It's all rather gaudy in your opinion, but that's hardly any of your concern at the moment. At the center of his ethereal form lies a slender blue prism not unlike your own golden shard, though far more angular and not nearly so bright. Content in the knowledge that his soul is inherently inferior to your own, you set about your task of destroying his shell. It goes poorly, as concentrated entropy and ghostly flame lick across the surface of the golden ball residing in his mortal form, you feel your own soul rebel against the contact, and curse your own foolishness. He's still linked to you, after all.
(1/2)
>>
You shift your focus instead to the threads which connect that manufactured replica of the pure divine to its similarly artificial container. A surge of vys sees them severed, and in the absence of the support provided by the shell the shard itself begins to rapidly fracture. Blue light streams from its surface as the ethereal image of Mercurius vanishes into thin air, destroyed in the same instant it was disconnected from that which created it.

Through brute force you're able to quickly reinforce and repair the shard, before it levels not only your realm, but likely kills you and your companions in the process. For a moment you think imminent destruction might be undeterred by your efforts to reinforce the shard, but then the cracks stop growing and begin to reverse their progress, and you're able to breath a sigh of relief.

Separated from you... though, it wasn't actually connected to you now that you consider the matter in more detail. The shell only connected to the shard, you weren't involved. Perhaps it has something to do with the memories which formed the shard coming from your husk. That would make the most sense in your mind. Regardless, you scorch the shell until there's nothing left of it, burning it from the inside out even as the physical force of uncreation eats away at its exterior. Your efforts leave what was once Mercurius' body nothing more than a corpse, and you disassemble it with an errant thought.
>Vys Pool: (2/[9])

Of course, that leaves you with the matter of the shard itself. At this point, the avatar projected around itself by your soul lacks any sort of real definition. It's just a vague suggestion of a masculine figure, so reduced is your husk. Separated from the needs of your physical body you do not feel tired in truth, but you know on a very primal level that your life depends on these next few moments. If you can't find a container for the shard, there will be nothing left of you but ash and cinder in a few minute's time.

You had thought to merely place it in a second artificially created body, but at this point you're not sure you could even produce such a thing. That aside, from what you've seen there seems to be some flaw in the shard itself. Any vessel which you implant it inside will likewise be linked with you on a intrinsic level, unless you've misunderstood some aspect of this experience.

Fulvia might be able to handle this. -The Core: Fulvia's mind is contained within a reality warping gem known as a Core. It allows her compatibility with any construct body.

-Twist Reality: With enough stored Vys Fulvia can drag people and things into her core forcefully. Requires truly unfathomable amounts of vys.
-Tether: An extension of her ability to warp reality, she is able to impose her reality onto the outside world, granting her immense influence over a fairly large area. Requires truly unfathomable amounts of vys.

And we might give her a substantial powerboost.

They're not really gloryholes. Mik's shell is perfectly smooth and usually silver, but when he channels husk into it takes on a golden hue. Plus, the shell is rigid. You can't just move it around all willy nilly like the husk. You have to erode your way through it, and as only a Vatis in Earth Magic, Mik isn't nearly that competent. Darzi might be able to safely form a hole in his shell without killing him, but it would be a ridiculously high DC.

Devika's soul is spiderweb swiss cheese, but you can kinda think of magnets as an analogy. You can't really force two misaligned dipolar magnets together. Of course, there does seem to be a way through which a soul can be made composite. The souls of disciples for instance have two shards, one yellow and one blue. Rasim's is similarly discolored, though you're not quite sure why.

Right, channel his divine essence to get the shard in. Or do you mean he can channel the essence that he would leave in but not the essence that we made? That makes sense I guess, but it doesn't explain why he couldn't open up our shell non-destructively. Just channeling DE doesn't mean he doesn't have to bypass the shell, and we seem to be able to manipulate our soul just fine (thanks to Force of Will), so why can't he just do whatever he does to bypass the shell, giving us the opportunity to put our extra shard in?

Wait a minute Soma, why can't we just teleport the shard into our soul like we teleport everyone and everything else in our realm? Is that possible based on the established setting so far you alcoholic. Let us try to put the shard in. Devika has two shards. Every disciple ever has two shards. We can just leech all the husk available to us and do a crazy meditation to try to duplicate the orbiting effect that Devika's twin souls have. Why no let us do that?

After lengthy debate in the IRC, it's incumbent upon me to clarify why it is exactly Mik would be unwilling to insert the artificial shard into his shell.

It is his firm belief, as a character, that doing so would be suicide. Primarily because he knows that the shard is going to explode with enough force to destroy his entire realm, has only a very vague notion of what the interior of the shell is like, and is cognizant of the fact that simply boring a hole physically through the shell would be incredibly dangerous at his current level of expertise in Earth magic.
>>
>>555261
And that he could teleport the shard in, but won't because he thinks it would be suicide. Which is why you didn't let us teleport the shard in.
>>
>>555261

Fuck off.
BQ has been and always will be about player agency. By making this decision for us, Soma is ruining the quest. He's made retcons and stupid decisions before, but he's never explicitly vetoed a vote like this one before. The reasoning is dumb anyways. Mik has done deadly and dangerous shit before for the sake of discovery. We put on the mask and the crown, sat in the needle chair and did a hundred other things because we chose to. Because we wanted to explore Soma's setting and because we enjoyed seeing what was in store for us. Soma has thrown that away by taking away our choice. He's lost my trust and hopefully the trust of all other BQ players, not just in scheduling and update speed, but now also in story telling. If he's not going to give us a real quest, then what's the point of letting him delay thread after thread and lie about updates. I for an not willing to put up with Soma's shitty schedule just to be met with a railroaded, limited agency story. I followed BQ for a reason, but now I'm just going to drop the quest. It's not worth it anymore.
>>
>>555261

I've a few queries about our current course of action. With her "Twist Reality" ability, will Fulvia be bringing us along with the Shard? We are preventing it from exploding, which would entail being in some proximity, correct? Her ability is an area of effect one then. It would be interesting entering her core to view the integration process, and we may be able to assist with an unforeseen complications that develop.

>not one soul is surprised

This is why nobody is really invested in the quest. Why nobody pays attention to the lore anymore. Few people show up, and the ones they do barely think about what they vote on. We could've gotten so much shit done. If only we had a reason to care.

I like to shitpost about the IRC, or anon in general, but really, we know why things are the way they are. Which would be fine, if I wasn't there for when this quest really was great.

You're really good, Soma. I wish you'd just get a bag. So you can get all your shit together and put it in there. We'd debate furiously about whether it should be sold at the shit store given to a shit museum. We'd bitch about the result for the next 50 threads like it was the most important thing. It'd be great.
>>
>>579964

>>
>>579964
>barely think about what they vote on

I haven't thought hard about a vote in ages. Used to do write ins whenever I could but there's no incentive anymore, the quest is about as stimulating as a cheap tv show now what with the "schedule" and general shitposting.

I did appreciate the work anons put into jewing that DC for grandmastery though, almost rekindled the spark.
>>
>>580138
When did it all start going so wrong? Was it namek? Where did it go completely terribad?
>>
>>580149
I personally enjoyed Namek if we count everything since entering Longia as it. Also burning down the bar was great banter without too much excessive shitposting as were most of the controversial decisions before the quest was 80% shitposting posts.

Fuck, remember when we actually had to think about relatively minor stuff like how to approach the pirate base and what to do when the Namek general guy caught us? Good times. Nowadays it's just "here's another meditation to discover the secrets of the soul" for +4 to "that shit we won't use" and a lore dump.

I hope the prophet plot and the other chick's cult interactions will bring that mischief and adventure feel back. Also Elaudia if we ever get around to it.

Not So Glorious Quest is interesting. Pretty random at times, but even the retarded bits actually do make at least some sense afterwards. Some NPCs are simply idiots.
