Faction: Dragonfist Clan
The Dragonfist clan (originally the Mutt Clan) Used to be a band of goblins and humans raised on the the streets that turned into farmers thanks to Mutt Dragonfist. The Mutt an urchin turned soldier managed to kill a dragon with one punch allowing his clan and his dynasty to be respected among the Roggarians. The Dragonfist Family isn't the richest nor the most powerful but they still are respected after all this years due the continuous effort of many members of the Dragonfist family: They produce tons of food due thanks to their priestly hunters and farmers; Muttville, the Fortress island is still an essential river port of Roggar and all the temples that exist around the feudal lands of the Dragonfists make their land a place that all adherents to the pantheon need to visit at least once in their lifetime.

Current Leader:Robin Dragonfist
Age 27

Assets: Dragonfist millitia, Dragonfist soldiers, horses, human and goblin farmers, Muttville and it's fortress, Temple of Divata, Smokyton and the surrounding farms, Temple of Zemel, Duchy of the Fork, Altodominio , Temple of Ezdar, Order of the Dragon, Priestly hunters, tamers and farmers.

In ages past men lived simpler lives - they would hunt, farm, fight and always respect the might of the Old Gods. Shamans led the clans with their elemental magic - so it was for many generations, before history was ever written down. The great hero Rog united a dozen human clans into a tribe that would form the foundation of our future Kingdom. One day Rog mysteriously vanished - then came the Great Storm - when it passed, the shamans could no longer feel the presence of the Gods and had lost the source of their magic.
Our civilization would have to progress on its own and so for generations we worked the lands, expanded in numbers and territory. We adopted goblin miners, fought dragons and welcomed a demonic warband. Adventures were had, technology progressed as we explored more and more of the world, largely adopting the faith of the New Gods of the Pantheon.
The Second Horde War was a terrible conflict, mirrored by a civil war within our Kingdom - in its process the mighty Kingdom of Paitras fell and our own Kingdom was greatly damaged, with the city of Nayte and its surroundings being anhilated, ending the lives of all our denizen demons.
After the Second Horde War the Norsemen were united into an Empire and we've been fighting them ever since. We've had both victories and losses, with the Ice Dragons being a mighty asset to the norsemen.
At the end of the 3rd century Paitras was been reborn under the ruler of Ezgielath, Verigal.

In the early 4th century the Barbarian Crusades were fought between us civilized nations and the vile heathen barbarians in both southern and northern lands - it ended with the expansion of Roggar to the southwest, but the loss of Paitran lands in the northeast.

Most recently we went on a great expediton to the eastern coast of our continent, had a grand wedding that will never be forgotten and have now encountered strange rock creatures in and around Threemine, which was affected by a devastating earthquake.

In the days of the old gods some humans travelled south, into the steppes - they were thought dead by most of their former brethren. There they bouth fought against and learned from the centaurs. The many small clans were united into a tribe recently by their leader, the Great Fein, Aapo. They wish to join Roggar for protection against the centaurs, so that they may found a town to call their own in the promised land that their shamans call "Heliski".

Recently, they have integrated with Rogger and helped as a strike force against the barbarian king. After the peace deal, they have settled into the town of Helsinki.

After several years, a letter has come back from those who were with the Pontiff on his journey to enjoy the tail end of his life; Apparently, on a trip to several poor quality bars, he ingested too much alchohol for his aging body and passed away. His corpse is being returned to Riverhugger.

In the meantime, a new leader has grasped control of the 'Nayteminds'; Alhazred Meneth, who claims to be a bastard born of Thuzad and Sinead Hawthorne. Reports state he has one eye blue, and one gray, with a forked tongue much like a snake; perhaps an omen of some sort to many, but to the madmen, a sign of cunning.
>>
Do to the golem threat, I will march to Dragon's tomb with 2,000 soldiers to help protect the capital
>>
>>601936
Fishermen on the Longfork River have whispered of strange things since the destruction of Nayte; now, these whispers are shouts. A swarm of lunatics have settled in the furthest south-east forest in the realm of Roggar.

The first generation were merely magic-sensitive men and women whose minds were fried by the magic unleashed at Nayte; sadly, the madness is all their children will ever know, along with their own myriad of issues, physical and mental.

Following the events within the portal at Nayte Crater, the unusally competent leader known as "Manman" failed to return. Not knowing (or perhaps caring) why, the drug-addled lunatic Barnaby declared himself leader of his fellows.

In the reign of Nick Ashwood, Barnaby somehow became Royal Admiral, and promptly ignited several Yalmfrid trade ships on suspicion of swampweed smuggling. In the year 251 he was imprisoned for decade by reason of arson, and spent one day a week smoking swampweed with a man named Lee, who acted as his temporary replacement. In addition, he appeared to believe he had successfully seduced the halfling Palidi Moxstep, a delusion which she refused to comment on.

After his release, Barnaby exhibited anger issues possibly related to withdrawl due to the long term swampweed reduction, and experimented with various methods to recapture his "buzz". He died in the tragic sinking of Project Weedboat's maiden voyage.

He was swiftly replaced by a shadowy figure with an apparent affinity for alchemy, who was never seen by the rest of the kingdom. He spent his life researching an unknown project; upon his death, the village of Riverhugger celebrated the first ever Timor's Eve.

Not long after, a young man naming himself Thuzad bullied his way into power. Despite his clean and charming exterior, he harbors dark thoughts within. Still, he buried these emotions deep inside, and spent a long and fulfilling life in service of the kingdom as Pontiff. He passed away on a journey to enjoy his final years.

Since then, his supposed bastard son, Alhazred, has claimed the title of leader.

So, how does magic work? Well, the more complex a spell, the more complex the rites around it are - some might require the caster to draw runes or shapes on a surface, some might require a particular catalyst, but all need some words to be said - doesn't really have to be loud and for all to hear, but it must be intentional - all spells' incantations end on a magic key word, which some flashy magicians like to say out loud - Brutus Whitevayne and a few priests have together combined magical words and effects to create a new spell, with a key word "Deportemal" - this spell creates an illusionary wall, it can be small enough to cover a mousehole or big enough to hide a gap in a city's walls.

As for our research into the rock things, we've found out that the bigger they are, the smarter they get - the tiniest ones are a bit shorter than the average human man, while the biggest one we've seen are taller than Dragonstomb's walls(which are 40ft tall). They seem to be gathering rocks and metals from the mines and transporting them to a location southwest of Threemine, in the rising hills and lower ends of the mountains.

You approach a site where it looks as though the mountain itself is split into two. As you head into the canyon that's been formed, along with a bunch of these earthen beings, you see in the distance a gigantic figure - it looks like it's in a sitting or laid-back position, but if it were to stand up it would tower more than three times the size of this "Rock" fellow, you'd say.

The earthen beings are leaving the small rocks further away from him and the more mineral-rich ones closer.

Does faith give you strength? We seek a symbol to guide us back towards the elemental gods! Please me and my fellow kinsmen have wandered so long without any sign of our gods.
>>
>>602827
"Earth is your father? How... long have you been sleeping? There was a great storm one day, and the Old Gods just disappeared, the dragons and the New Gods taking their place. What do you know about the dragons? Or those pretty mortals with pointy ears that seem to speak your language? Have you or any of your children seen them before?"
>>
>>602827
Military and I'll trust you'll love them, I could bring a sample next time
>>
let the poor old fucker sleep for fuck's sake.
>>
>>602827
The Great Storm came one day 300 years ago and the Old Gods disappeared and we were left alone in the dark. Some speak of The Great Elven Betrayal but we don't know much of it. Our Kingdom has existed for 300 years and we have lived on these lands while you slept. I ask you is there a way for us to live in peace untiil you rest once more?
>>
>>602842
"Back in my day, the pointy ears were building their mortal civilization while other mortals, like you, were still learning how to tie rocks and wood together - not that there's anything wrong with a simple lifestyle. In those days Earth, Flame, Ice, Wind,Water, Storm, Light, Dark - all had children. Those were us Titans and the Dragons. We ruled the surface, the Dragons ruled the skies, the Gods ruled the Heavens. You say they are gone? There are New Gods? Perhaps that is true. I must seek answers for myself."
>>602876
"The lands my children roam on will remain ours. You will not bother us and we will not bother you."
>>602844
"Neither I nor my children will give our lives in service of another without good reason."
>>602839
"I don't know how the Gods will feel about that. My children and I had to go to sleep to avoid angering them. But you say the Gods are gone. I must know more first."
>>
>>602905
It's silver infused with magic, sure to wake you up
>>
>>602905
A new group of imposter gods have taken their place. They were the former guardians of heaven. They call themselves the pantheons (list up some of their names like Storman).

For all we know you are the last remanents of their power. If you used the power for good I am certain they would praise your efforts if they could. We have been forced to rely on sacrifices magic without the elemental gods. Our faith is wasted as no one answers. Or so we thought, now you are here now to guide us!
>>
>>602905
"If anyone would know about the Old Gods, those would be the dragons. But since the beginning of our history the dragons have been hostile toward us, and have not shown much fondness towards the Old Gods, or the new ones for that matter, fashioning themselves as the gods of the men of the northern lands.
>>
The Titan waves
"You've somehow made me sleepy again. I guess I'll be taking another nap now. Shoo!"

The Titan says that the entire area affected by the earthquake - Threemine, the three mines and the surrounding areas - now belong to him and his children.

We've sought to rekindle the spark of our old glory, bringing light into the spheres of art and high culture once more - theatres, sculpture, painting, literature will be sponsored by the Kingdom, while in Dragonstomb a proper Royal Academy has been established where the children of the well-off citizens of our Kingdom may recieve a secular education outside of what the Church can offer - education, of course, is not reserved just for children as adults may also make up for what they may have missed out on, while those who seek to advance even beyond may also seek the knowledge of their peers and become philosphers, teachers and natural scientists themselves.
Aside from that, private education among the rich is also somewhat popular and this will make it more attainable as there will be more teachers in our Kingdom thanks to this Academy.

In 339 Ravlegith and Paitras cut off relations after some diplomatic incident, the details of which are unknown. Several months later, the Paitran Legions invaded and by the spring of 340 the Free City has been captured. The Eagle's Banner flies over the towers as the merchant-lords' estates are ransacked. King Veran, son of Verigal, personally ordered that those merchant lords who did not surrender to him before the siege began were to be executed.

It's now the year 340.
Final post from me for today. I will be travelling and doing stuff for 2 or so days and I might be able to continue this thread on Friday. You can post your faction projects and roll, but no re-rolling or changing your mind! Think carefully first and don't bother me too much on discord - I'll be online from time to time and if I have time I'll answer with the results from my phone.

As of late many of the old god believers in Roggar have come to believe that Father-Mountain is a messenger of the elemental gods. Hence, they have started praying to him.

Many northerners go on pilgrimages to see his holiness. Trekking to what used to be threemines. They go to him bearing gifts of stone and metal. All so that they can see his magnificence. And if they are especially lucky he will impart on them some of his vast wisdom.

And if we are lucky he will return some of the power we have vested in him through our faith. Father-Mountain will guide us back unto the true path, the path of the true gods!

A notable foreign guest is Lady Halis Swiftwood, sister of Talis Swiftwood, who is visiting Dragonstomb and seeking the King's attention.
Firstly though, the celebration of marriage:
In the Great Temple of Dragonstomb the Pontiff, Randall of Gregariapol, will personally bless this union.

It is a beautiful day in Dragonstomb as the procession enters the Grand Temple of the Pantheon.

Isolde Godric is walked by her brother, Duke Dolphus Godric, in the absence of a living father.

The Groom is Count Alhazred Meneth, "The Mad Poet".

The ritual goes well, though the Pontiff seems in ill health at his current age, he performs his duties without issue - the marriage is sealed in the Grand Temple in the eyes of Gods and Men.
The procession then makes their way to the celebration venue, the Old King's Hall.

The mad poet approaches his wife, clad in a mismatched outfit that looks to be made of different nobles' clothes. His gray eye shines; the blue remains dark. He slicks back his long brown hair with spit, then clears his throat to speak.

"Wedding bells and chirpy birds in the trees,
A woman of Godric, all for me!
Isolde, my love, my darling dear,
My heart is aflutter whenever you are near.
The flame of your hair, the sea of your eyes,
The eternal beauty which may never die,
The words you speak that are sweeter than honey,
And the soul you contain that is richer than money.
A love so true it cannot be denied;
My wife. My life. My beautiful bride."

Alhazred Meneth leans in and kisses his new partner: Isolde Meneth.
Now the celebration begins!

Guests may participate in festivities and merriments, exchange words, give gifts to the newlyweds and perform actions with rolls! The Priests of Batahl give their God's blessing to this event, a guarantee for the joy that is to come!

There was a knock on one of the windows. Barnabus, who was feeling weak, was leaning on the wall when he heard it and put his ear to the glass. The knocking went on and on...for eternity, in his head...

The celebrations were winding down, but it still wasn't time for people to start leaving - notable guests were now taking turns to speak to the guests from a podium.

Some guests were listening, others were a bit too drunk to understand it all. Imperator Seigmar was standing when one of his officers approached him and whispered to his ear "Imperator, strange figures have been seen outside the building, they wear robes and-"

The Pontiff once again got into a coughing fit as he was speaking, but this time it wasn't subsiding. He grabbed his chest, stepped forward, his eyes were so big that it seemed as though they were trying to leap out of his face - and that they did, as his entire body combusted and a dark smoke swept over the room, a flash could barely be seen and a crash was heard as part of the roof of the Hall collapsed.

Screams could be heard and the tightly-packed attendees were scurrying about - those who ran to the large wooden doors found that they couldn't open them. In the place where the Pontiff was speaking, there now stood a massive, dark figure, over 10 meters tall, its upper body breaking through the ceiling. Silently, it stepped forward, crushing a few attendees underneath as it looked down. The wedding attendees that looked up stared and saw...pure horror, a being unlike any other they'd encountered.

EVERYONE! What will your character(s) do? Roll for it!

Duke Godric was fleeing with his sister when he saw the 1st Legion - the Legion that his father and uncle had led in the Barbarian Crusades. He jumped off the horse and told her to go on without him as he approached the ranks of the Legion - there was no time for him to put on an armor, but he was handed a sword, shield and a spear to throw as he led a Century that had lost its Centurion into the fray.

The battle was bloody and by the end of it hundreds of civilians and soldiers had lost their lives, but the sheer weight of metal bearing down upon it finally brought the horror to its knees, after which a ballista bolt through the chest put an end to it at last. It crashed down into a library that was part of the Royal Academy. A rousing cheer was let out by the soldiers, the city was saved - well, almost. They went to work immediately along with the Guard putting out fires and rescuing survivors from the rubble.

In the report submitted to the King(who stayed within the Palace protected by his Royal Guards) the origin of the being was described as unknown, but the robed men appeared to have been lizardfolk of various subraces.

This event in the year 342 led to many notable deaths and even more questions being asked.

A tragic event for all was the event known as the green wedding.
Among numerous deaths the Trusted Advisers lost on of it's own, Barnabus the bookwright, the first among Roggarion writers.
His corpse was returned to his home of Barnabus' Rest were it was given a proper funeral. In his honor a statue of the man has been raised in the center of Barnabus' rest.
His loss will be sorely felt.
Among his possessions was found a number of short stories of various events throughout Roggarion history, in particular chronicling one Ahsvar the eternal.
Apparently this man had existed as early as Roggars first battle against a dragon, In the story he is but a young child with an align mother who throws stones at the beast. It also provides a lengthy backstory to Ashvar, born of a daughter to one of the last Shamans he never saw or knew his father.
The next story he appears in is the civil war, were he fought alongside the demons, to be wounded in battle and be recovering in Dragostone when Nayte was gone.
Apparently he was also present as recently as the Barbarian Crusade, however this part is incomplete due to Barnabus' early passing.
The book was published as "The Adventures of Ashvar the eternal warrior".
An interesting thing about the book is that it reads as if it was an interview...
Curious.
Talks have begun about creating a grand library in honor of Barnabus.

We journey towards the Volcano and the village whose name is translated as simply "Ash". On the way we find ruins - is this the fabled ancient Lizard Empire? Broken columns and statues are all that remains - we continue on our way.
This land is populated by strange, exotic beasts and plants. We were warned not to eat anything we couldn't recognize.

On the edge of the jungle, before entering the mountainous ashy terrain, we find our party surrounded by local tribesmen. They look tough, more beastly than the lizan we are used to seeing. Our party formed up and prepared to defend ourselves. After several minutes of a standoff one lizardman approaches and begins speaking in the lizan language - we have a translator in our party for this, who knows enough to make out this sentence.

I want to cut it short, so that's what I'll do

We are directed to seek knowledge in Gajaxlan instead. There we meet with the Priests and the Great Water Dragon that protects the city. We learn that these lizardmen summoners are a cult that spans all the lizard lands, a cult called "The Nameless". They worship the eldricht beings of what they call "The Vast", a plane of existence beyond Heaven, Hell, Limbo and the Mortal Realm.

The priests claim their numbers are few - the Dragon worshippers have been hunting them down wherever they can find them and it's been many years since they've last succeeded in summoning an eldricht horror like they did in Dragonstomb. We can rely on the Gajaxlan Temple's aid in combatting these cultists, we are assured.

With that we'll end for this week and possibly continue Monday.
