>You are Maple Son-Mahogany, one of two young Tuffle twins thrown at Earth starting in early Dragon Ball by your "father," Dr. Raichi

>"Canon" had already taken a sharp turn from the "norm" when you began, and through your actions, choices, and dialogue, took even further turns from the "norm," and will probably continue to do so

Last time, on Dragon Ball Tuffle Quest Z! With your training complete, the World Martial Arts Tournament finally begins! Your kids took part in the Junior Division, with Peppa coming out on top as the new Junior Champ, in spite of the best efforts of the masked demon Basilea. And now, the Tournament proper is about to commence...

You watch as Goku, Peppa, and Gohan down several bowls of meat, rice, and veggies after the kids finish telling everyone about their matches. The Tournament staff seem to have started placing bets on how much food they can down, with one of them clearly favoring Vegeta and Nappa. You ruffle Peppa's hair softly. "Remember to chew, sweetie, makes it last longer."

"Yushmuhmuh!" she mumbles through a whole steak. You have her put it down and eat it properly.

"Shame Raditz isn't here. They even have that radish meal he likes." your brother comments.

"I'm getting suspicious." Tien adds. "Whatever this thing they're following, it's strange that they haven't asked for any help."

"Ah, they'll be fine." Goku stares, finishing another bowl of fried rice. "Krillin, Lapis, Lazuli, Chiaotzu, they've been through plenty of tough fights before. And Raditz, I just know my big bro's gonna be able to take on whatever challenger shows up!" he finishes with a confident thrust of his fist into the air.

"It's not just fighting they're caught up in." Acer comments. "Brench is going through a leadership crisis. Can't say I really blame them for it, with the wish, the Cold clan gone, PTO's probably become a mess..."

You lean back in your chair slightly, spotting Vegeta keeping up with Goku's appetite, Piccolo standing around with his eyes scanning the room, Mighty Mask eating a modest meal himself, and... you notice Gohan seems a little distracted as he eats. Some distance away, you sense a couple presences approaching. One of them a little familiar, while the other... not really sure who that is.

>A. Gohan, sweetie, something wrong?
>B. Piccolo, something up?
>C. Congratulate Mighty Mask on getting to the finals, nice to see more new fighters around
>D. Try to focus on who the new folks are. You swear you've sensed one of them before...

You first turn to your son while people continue talking about Raditz's group. "Gohan, sweetie, something wrong?"

He slows on finishing his bowl of rice, looking to his sister. "Mm... I'm okay..."

Yeah, no he isn't. "Something about your match?"

He starts to shake his head no, then stops, looking away from you. He mumbles his next sentence, but you can catch what he was trying to say with telepathy. "...made a mistake."

"What kind of mistake, son?"

He tries to hide his face, this time awkwardly stuffing his face with rice. But... even without saying it, you can figure what's wrong. He's trying his best not to show it, but the boy's upset over his loss.

You sigh a little, patting him on his shoulder. "Son, it happens to the best of us. Mama's lost before, papa's lost before, it'll happen, even if you think you're prepared for anything."

"Sometimes it happens a lot." you hear from your brother, a look in his eyes directed at Gohan of... well, COMPLETE understanding. Chi-chi raises an eyebrow at him as she hands Izzy a juice box.

"The point is, the best thing you can do after taking a loss is learn from it. Defeat's an opportunity to grow."

He turns back to you with a curious look on his face. "How'd you do it, mama?"

"Train harder. Train smarter. You can do it too, son, I believe in you." you tell him with a warm smile.

"Me too Gohan! I want you to get super strong! Super duper strong!" Peppa almost shouts, this time mouth not full of steak.

He seems to appreciate that, smiling and nodding. You catch Piccolo crack a smile, but then return to his observations. You telepathically contact him as you continue eating, 'Is there something up?'

'I sensed a presence earlier that was too familiar for comfort. I'm sure Tien sensed him too.'

'Who?'

'One of Towa's goons. The Heran keeping Korin hostage. He was here when we all arrived, but suddenly vanished.' He locks eyes with you, grimacing. 'He shouldn't even be alive.'

'Towa's pulled some nasty tricks before. Wouldn't surprise me if she managed to clone or save him somehow.' you speculate.

'That he hasn't done anything yet is what worries me. I don't like this.'

'We'll pull through, just like usual. Speaking of presences, getting the reading of a couple new ones. Not really strong, but above average...' You try to focus on them as they approach. You swear you've...

...

Wait a minute.

Vegeta's voice gives a shout of surprise as he finally notices too, Nappa nearly choking on a dinosaur drumstick. "T-Tarble?!"

Most of your group turns to spot the Saiyan, accompanied by a small grey alien lady. She... looks like a Tech-tech. "Brother, finally! So this is where you've been!"

You take a moment, waiting for Tarble and Vegeta to finish talking before you greet the Saiyan Prince. The alien accompanying him notices your table, looking at Goku, Peppa, and Gohan curiously as Tarble speaks. "Brother, congratulations on taking down Freeza, Cold, and Cooler. I am sorry I didn't come sooner, I was occupied with some things back on my planet."

Vegeta grunts angrily at the smaller Saiyan, Nappa sighing. "Vegeta did indeed defeat Freeza, on his own. But Cooler and Cold were slain by other hands." You spot Vegeta's eye twitch at that. "What are you doing here, Tarble?"

"Well, you see, we need some... wait, who defeated them?" Tarble questions, surprised.

Nappa points in the direction of your table, chugging a glass of beer. You take the opportunity to stand and greet him properly. "Hello again, Prince Tarble, it is good to see you are well. Have you come to meet your nephew as well?"

The Saiyan's eyes shoot open, jaw dropping, the alien with him starring at you in disbelief. "My... my what...?"

"Your nephew! You just became an uncle recently. The boy is with his mother down the hall." You then point in the direction of Shao and her son. Surely he'd make for a good first impression.

Tarble turns to his brother. "You... ah, I see... I hadn't realized you-"

"I'm not 'settling down,' Tarble. Unlike you, my goals are far grander." Vegeta declares, glaring at his brother. "Why are you here?"

The smaller Saiyan gulps. "W-well... the PTO is in chaos. Worlds are revolting left and right, some with powerful warlords springing up to try and carve out their own empires. My world is in trouble, brother. We need your help!"

Vegeta slowly turns his head, frowning. "And why should I help you? Are you really so incapable of defending that planet that you come crawling to me?"

Tarble seems distraught. "B-but brother, the ones attacking-"

Vegeta's voice grows louder, indignant. "Are you really that weak? Where is your Saiyan pride?!"

"You know, Vegeta, some threats out there are worthy of the power of a Super Saiyan. Maybe even more." you comment. "What exactly has been going on, Prince Tarble? Who are the ones attacking?"

Tarble looks down solemnly. "I'm not entirely sure. They have PTO armor and ships, but they refuse to answer to hails, and they seem to almost comparable to the Ginyu Force. I'm... I'm suspicious that it's Prince Kuriza, trying to bring the PTO back together, based on reports of his strength..."

"Kuriza?" Vegeta repeats. "That boy isn't even worth my time now, I've surpassed his father, and dare I say, Cold and Cooler."

"But brother, what if he's surpassed his father too? The more reports we get, the more it sounds like a being comparable in strength to Freeza, if not greater. Brother, please!" the smaller Saiyan prince gets to his knees, almost begging.

"Tch. You really don't have any pride. Father was right to send you off you embarrassment of a Saiyan!" he roars, standing and looking down on Tarble. "I will take down Kuriza. But I will not come to your aid, Tarble. Hope that you can dispose of him before I do, or your planet will be mine."

Your daughter growls at Vegeta, but Goku calms her, a disapproving frown across his face. "Vegeta, you aren't thinking of leaving before your match, are you?" Goku questions.

"M-match? What match?" Tarble asks, standing again.

>A. Vegeta's part of this Tournament, he made a deal with me
>B. Tarble, we can help you with Prince Kuriza, don't worry

>A. Vegeta's part of this Tournament, he made a deal with me
"But if he wants to drop it that's fine, I'll be looking into the information he wants anyway. Besides, win or loose, I think getting out there would do him better in the long run. "
>>
>>614658
Mostly. Just dealing with a bit of big, dumb family drama.
>>
>>614631
"Vegeta's part of the Tournament. He made a few deals with me." you explain, approaching Tarble. "If he wants to drop it, I'd be fine. We could have out match another time, I can find out the information he wants. Besides, if Vegeta really wants to get out there, we're not stopping him."

"Don't you dare back down from this, Tuffle." Vegeta growls out at you. "You have blemished my pride. I'm going to make sure you pay for that, and make an example of you. Those who dare oppose me will be LUCKY if they end up like you, you sow."

You remain unphased by his threats and keep your focus on Tarble. "Besides, we can help you resolve this situation with Kuriza, Prince Tarble. Don't worry." The kid's potentially being manipulated, you figure, so you could talk him down from this. Maybe. Hopefully.

Tarble and the alien with him seem... mostly confused, and struggling to take in all this. You see in the smaller Saiyan prince's eyes this look of... almost betrayal as he glances at Vegeta, but an equal mixture of fear and anxiety. "...I-I don't..."

"Don't bother. If you rely on them, you'll never become a Saiyan worthy of your own planet, much less the title you were born with." Vegeta grunts. "In fact, stay and watch, brother. See how wrong she is first hand." he adds with a twisted grin.

Tarble looks to him silently, humbly, then bows his head and moves to walk off with the alien, giving you one last worried look as he does. An uneasy silence fills the area until the meal is finally over with, the fighters who made it past the preliminaries gathering at the building before the ring. Chuu Lee hurries along, finally done talking with Shao and rejoining you and the other finalists.

The Announcer Guy clears his throat as he greets you all again. "Well well, some familiar faces here, but also some new ones! To start things off, I'm aware that there's been a bit of change as of late. Down from our previous sixteen, you eight finalists will go head-to-head in one-on-one matches, with only short breaks in between. Now, to start things off, let's have our current Champion begin the draw! Maple Son-Mahogany, come on up!"

You smile and nod as you approach the box, taking...

>C. A bottom one

>>

>>
>>614920
You reach down and go for a middle one... aha! "All right, Maple is number 3! Next up, Son Goku..."

After a few minutes, all the numbers are up. And last to go is... "Vegeta, number 4!"

The Saiyan prince smirks at the number, and then at you. "Looks like fate has conspired against you, Tuffle. How unfortunate."

You give a nonchalant shrug, walking with everyone to the ring for the announcements. "You're a lot of talk, Vegeta, but talk's nothing compared to results."

"The result was determined from the start." he chuckles out lowly.

With everyone lined up, the Announcer guy addresses the crowds. "Laaaadies and gentlemen, welcome once again to the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament! We've got a selection of fighters, old and new, lined up and ready to compete to see who will come up on top!" He tosses his microphone in the air and catches it, the screens above showing the profiles of the first two fighters. "And for the first match, we have...

Acer Mahogany vs. Tien Shinhan!"

Your brother and Tien look to each other, a confident nod shared between them.

"Second will be: once-again champion Maple Son-Mahogany vs. newcomer Vegeta!"

Vegeta laughs confidently. "This will all be over soon, Tuffle."

"Third round will feature: Majunior vs. Mighty Mask!"

Piccolo gives a solemn look to his opponent, the masked fighter flexing, showing off his muscles to the crowds. You can swear you hear some people among the crowds, mostly kids, shouting "Good luck, Big Green!"

"And the final match: former Champion Son Goku vs. current Mifan Champion Chuu Lee!"

Your husband and former student both have big, cheeky grins across their faces. Chuu Lee raises her fist. "See you there, Goku."

He taps his fist with hers. "Best of luck."

"Don't have too much fun, you two." you warn, sticking your tongue out as you walk back.

Acer stops you. "Sis. I better see you next round." he asks, eyes focused on Vegeta.

"Heh. Confident you'll win against Tien?" you ask.

"I've got some tricks up my sleeves. Best of luck."

"Same, brobro."

You let your friends know you're off to find Tarble, taking a moment to sense for him and the alien with him, and then teleporting to them with your Instant Transmission.

"After... our father, hu-UWAH!" Tarble panics as you suddenly appear next to him and the alien, the two of them stumbling over, causing Shao to giggle slightly. "H-how did-?"

"Aheh, sorry about that!" you say with a cheeky grin. "Instant Transmission, handy skill. So hey, Tarble, seeing your nephew?"

He nods slowly, standing. "I... yes. Miss Shao was telling me about how... er, he was born a short while ago."

The baby seems curious as it looks to you, then quickly hides his face in his mother's chest. "Still... haven't really decided on a name yet. My dad really didn't like the idea of giving him his father's name 'unless that alien learns to behave himself.'" she quotes in a gruff, tough voice.

"How about Baozi?" you suggest with a smile. "You know, something to keep with his mother's name."

"That's a nice one." she giggles.

"Bao...zi?" Tarble repeats, then repeats a couple of times, starting to like the sound of that name. "Ah, yes, that does have a nice ring to it..."

"We're not naming any of ours that." the alien, voice giving her away as a female, says bluntly.

...wait. "'Ours?'" you repeat.

"Ah, I am sorry for not properly introducing us. I know you are aware of myself, but this is my wife, Gure." Tarble explains, the little alien placing her hand forward to shake.

You and Shao take a moment to look at her, then shrug. Saiyans. You guess I can't really judge, given yourself and Goku, and shake her hand. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Gure." That's... can they even have...? Nevermind, focus. "A-anyway! Tarble, I'm curious, just what kinds of things are you facing?"

His smile turns back to a frown. "Like I said, they seemed to be PTO ships, and soldiers, but they were unusually strong. I... don't have anywhere near the strength to fight them on my own. And if it really is Prince Kuriza behind them..."

Taking a moment to read his mind for more info, you see that... well, that really is the best way to describe them. PTO soldiers, but... there's this strange thing on their bodies. It almost looks like a crystal of some sort. What... what the hell is that?

You're getting just a little suspicious now.

Well. Doesn't hurt to be a little paranoid when you know they're out to get you... "Tarble, shot in the dark here, but do you know of any strange aliens that've visited your planet recently? Like, say, a strange blue lady in a skimpy outfit? White hair?"

He gives you a clear, bewildered look and breathes out, "A what?"

"Damn, guess not. Well, that's someone to look out for! If you see someone like that, or hear the name 'Towa,' stay clear away. By all accounts, she's kind of responsible for... well, all of this." you explain, crossing your arms and thinking. Well... it might be her, might not. "Might there be any planets nearby that have some conflicts or disputes with your own? This might be an intimidation tactic."

He shakes his head no. "None of the nearby planets have forces comparable to this in the first place, even if they banded together. It's a relatively quiet part of the galaxy, up until recently."

You scratch your head, thinking harder. Well... damn. There IS another option... and you're not sure you like it. "...Tarble, how much do you know about the Tuffles?"

"Well, for starters, even less than I thought, given your presence."

Hoo boy... "Then... well, this might be a long story, so I'll keep it short. My brother and I are technically the only full-blooded, living Tuffles left. But there's a phantom out there responsible for our... birth. Dr. Raichi. And by all accounts, he might be in league with that blue lady I just mentioned, and an Earthling scientist called Dr. Gero. The man who saved King Cold from certain death."

"...this sounds bad." he gulps out.

"Adding to this... well, he has dark, powerful technology that can bring back the deceased. I don't know how much he's improved it in the years since brobro and I last saw him, but... good chance, he might be capable of pulling something like this off."

Tarble sits down, head in his hands, Gure comforting him. "That... that's a lot to take in..."

"N-not to try and scare you over this! Just... you should be aware of this." you tell the Saiyan prince. "Lastly... well, Tarble, do you have any idea on the Ginyu Force, where they might be?"

"I haven't heard of them as of late, figured they were destroyed along with Freeza's forces." he states with a sigh.

Well, damn. Might be good news, though. "They weren't, last I'd assumed they were keeping watch over Kuriza or something."

Cheering fills the crowds as you sense Acer and Tien's Power Levels surge, Tarble's Scouter going crazy... aaaaand it explodes. He looks in the direction of the Ki signatures. "What... what is..."

>A. Looks like my brother and Tien are going all out. Acer was one of the people responsible for stopping Cooler, you know

"Looks like my brother and Tien have started giving it their all. Heh. You know, Acer there was one of the people who helped take down Cooler." you tell the Saiyan with a prideful grin across your face. "Ah, right, you still can't sense people's Ki, their Power Levels, on your own, can you?" You quickly CLOTHES BEAM him a new, improved, Tuffle-made Scouter. No more risk of explosion, and can give much higher Ki readings! "There you go, that should be better than those PTO knockoffs."

Tarble looks it over curiously, checking back on the readings given off by your brother and Tien. "This... four million... five... six million... they're past nine!"

You chuckle. "Yep! My Goku's even stronger, too."

"Wait... how is this possible?"

"Like I said, the Tuffle-made originals are waaaay better than those PTO knockoffs."

He takes it off, studying it. "Astounding..."

You tap your fingers to your forehead. "Keep it until you learn how to sense Ki, Prince Tarble. Your brother managed it, and most of us learned it pretty quickly. It makes for quite a handy skill. Now, thanks for your time, I'm gonna see how much I can catch before my own match starts." You wave goodbye to him as you teleport back, appearing next to Goku.

"Hey Maple, talk with Tarble go well?" he questions, tail giving a curious wave.

"Yep! What're they up to now?" you question, looking out the window.

From the sparking, purple auras around them, seems like Acer and Tien have started using the Raio-Ten, and are locked in combat with the Four Witches technique. From what you can sense... Acer's a little behind Tien, and it seems like Tien's even a bit stronger than you. Oooh this is gonna be a close one.

As they continue to trade blows, you see Tien use the Afterimage technique... but there's a twist to it. As Acer strikes the image, it seems to explode into a blinding flash of light, like a weakened Solar Flare. Your brother holds his eyes in pain as Tien appears behind him. "Sorry Acer, but this is the end!" he shouts, using Four Witches based barrage of crane strikes to pummel him, ending it with a strong crane kick to the gut.

Acer goes down, seemingly out, the Raio-Ten fading. Tien stays on guard, taking his breath. The Announcer guy approaches, starting the count... but when he gets to eight, Tien relaxes just enough that Acer takes this as an opportunity to bolt back up, and try to counter. Tien at the last moment gives a call of "Samma Sankappa!" to guard against it, but your brother doesn't give up.

As the two of them continue their fight, Acer goes for one last blow, dashing back to the edge of the ring as flames erupt from his hand, a circle of fire appearing around his back. "BURNING... CRUUUUSHEEER!" he hollers, dashing at Tien at full speed. Tien fires a beam from his third eye as he tries to counter, hitting Acer in the shoulder... but ensuring that Acer crashes palm-first into his gut.

Both of them go down.

"W-what a spectacular display! We'll start the countdown, folks, but I'm not sure either of these fighters are getting back up! One! ...Two! ...Three!"

You sense both of them fade in strength, yourself and Goku cheering for your brother with the voices of a large number of the audience... but he just won't get up. Launch, the Crane Students, and many more call for Tien... but he's down too.

"Eight! ...Nine!"

You look at them in disbelief. They... really are unconscious.

Both of them.

"TEN!"

The crowds go silent, medical staff hurrying to the two fighters. Nam and a dog man confirm they're still breathing, then look to the Announcer guy.

"What an amazing match, folks! But it looks like it ended in a double knockout! Both Acer and Tien are down!"

Goku looks to you with this expression of mixed nostalgia, joy, but... slight disappointment. "Just like our first real match, huh Maple?"

"But this time, it's not the final." you say with a sigh. "Damn."

"It's only for the best." Vegeta's voice mocks. "They'd just suffer further humiliation from facing me."

>A. Ignore him, go to your brother
>B. You assume you'd face either of them, Vegeta. Funny joke
>C. Acer's fine, but your match is up next. Head to the ring
>D. Something else?

Even if you learn no humility from me, you might do well to consider it when faced with someone hundreds of times more powerful than yourself at your strongest. I've regularly crossed such people, and there are far worse nightmares to be had out there. "
I'm working with vague recall of towas power levels, and some of those demonic threats. Adjust the wording, if necessary.
>>
>>616477
Why waste breath on an opponent when you can tear out their argument's footing with but a word?
>>
>>616491
Why? Because a mere
quip isn't going to get through his ego.

Also to add to that, we might want to add that one of those threats is a dark force growing within the dragonballs with every wish, so he may want to reconsider the means of getting that information he wants if he wins.

Alternatively, we can save that for our possible defeat.
>>
>>616525
A quip is more than enough to get through his ego, it says to him that we don't think he's worth any more than a quip.

You sigh softly, but can't help but give him a dumb, condescending smile. "Would."

"Your confidence is going to break soon enough, Tuffle." he says with a smirk.

"You think so, Vegeta? You're making a looooot of assumptions here." you retort, walking to your brother being carried off by stretchers.

He groans slightly as Nam heals him, starting to wake up. "Urgh... hey sis. See... see you next match?"

You shake your head. "Double knockout, brobro. You and Tien are down."

He groans louder. "Agh... damn it. Sorry."

You pat his shoulder. "Don't worry. I'll make it to the finals, that's a promise."

"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep, Tuffle." the Saiyan prince grunts dismissively, starting to walk towards the ring.

Giving a roll of your eyes, you address him. "Vegeta, if you could cower all your opponents with your pride, you'd truly be unstoppable." you give dryly.

"Those who don't know their place will find it quickly. I'm going to guarantee that." he replies, cracking his knuckles.

"Humility would help a bit. You really think you're the biggest fish in this pond? Even at your best, I know there are people stronger than you. Stronger than me. I've crossed paths with them before, and they're still out there." you say, walking towards him.

He looks back and smirks. "A challenge worth taking down. Tell me, you know of their names? Because I will find them. And I will bring them to their knees."

Well... there's Towa. And Ledgic. And the Demon King, the Demon Prince. And... a lot of things out there, really. But one comes to your mind. One that will get under his skin. One he himself knows damn well outclasses him, even with all the training he's done. "Bra Briefs."

Vegeta stops, fists clenched. He... doesn't reply. He can't. He knows he can't. He just gives a dismissive, angry snort, and then heads into the ring.

"Well well, ladies and gentlemen, the second match is about to begin! Returning Champion Maple Son-Mahogany will be defending her title against newcomer, Vegeta! And from that look in his eyes, that tail around his waist, it seems he's a competitor just like our former Champ, Son Goku! Does he have the tricks he needs to come out on top?"

You sense Vegeta start to slowly raise his Power Level. "Oh I assure you, I will win. Listen up, people of Earth! See before you your so-called Champion! This fighter humiliated me, she tarnished my honor! I come here for two reasons; to remove this blemish from my pride, and to make an example of her." You stand your ground as Vegeta's aura flares around him. "An example of all those who DARE defy me!"

You take your stance, staying focused. The Announcer guy clears his throat. "W-well, bold words from our bold new challenger! Fighters ready? BEGIN!"

Vegeta keeps powering up... and finally ascends, cocky smirk across his face as he's transformed into a Super Saiyan. "I hope you're ready to beg for mercy, Tuffle scum!"

Thought we were going to out last him between abilities and stamina training. That is if we cannot match him or surpass him-I think we can hit 250 million with Raio Ten and Kaio Ken x5, right? But Samma Dhitti, shields, and smart fighting may get us through on this.
>>
>>626049
Roll high.
>>
>>626137
Checking pastebin, we're at 5.04 million in base, so that number is right, we hit 252 million at full power. But I don't know how long we'll last at that, so shields and dodging and I think stun-spamming is the way to go.

>>626179
Tuffle luck is a given, isn't it?
>>
>>626309
It has failed us before.

I think Kato said that we can go 15 minutes of Kaio Ken and Raio Ken? Not sure, though, but raio ken is a full day.
>>
>>617051
With his golden aura flaring around him, Vegeta takes his stance. You recognize it as the one he took when you first fought him. He's... waiting? No... he's letting you get a gauge on just how strong he is. If you were to put it to a number... 280 million, maybe. At your best, you'd be just below that, but stamina might not be your advantage at that point, even with all the training you've done.

Fighting defensively might be the best option, but if you aren't careful with healing yourself, Vegeta could overwhelm your defenses with brute force. You'll need to balance healing, defending, and countering as best you can. You focus your strength and breathe out, "Raio-Ten" to make sure he doesn't get a cheap shot in.

This is it.

Specifically, let's set him up for an early MP busting counter before he feels threatened too much by our efforts. Then we can try to get him into stun lock. Spiking with kaio-ken will be necessary, but let's not shoot that wad too early.

Vegeta bolts at you, trying to feint you out with an afterimage. Your foresight allows you a flash of warning, and you quickly move around to block his attack, a hard kick directed to your gut. But even with a successful block, it sends you back. There's a clear difference in strength here, and Vegeta's smugly aware of it.

Time to keep that advantage of his away. You dodge his next attack and, with a Phantom Shotgun at point blank to counter, with a bit of Lightning to boost it! It connects, and while that didn't hurt as much as it could have, he's halted. You flip back, Vegeta growling at you as you fire an "MP BUSTER!"

He should be a sitting duck... but even while stunned, it looks like he's anticipating your attacks. He launches a quick Explosive Wave, your MP Buster weakening it before it hits you, but failing to make contact with Vegeta.

"Nice try, Tuffle. But I've prepared for your tricks." he states smugly, the stun wearing off. "You'll need better skills than that to take me down."

"Then have a gift from my brother!" you shout, giving a snap of your fingers. The Will 'O Wisp catches Vegeta by surprise, exploding in his face. He shouts some obscenities as his vision is filled with flames, then lets out a roar again, pushing the fire and smoke away.

"I'll make sure to pay him back for it after I'm done with you." he grunts, bolting at you again. "Don't think you've won yet!"

You narrowly avoid Vegeta's next attack, and in response try to combo a barrier with the Explosive Wave, trying to trap Vegata between them. But seems like he's a couple steps ahead again, as he blitzes away from it and counters, hitting you in the back of your next with his elbow. You stumble, then hurry away from his next attack. Vegeta laughs. "Weak. I'm not even breaking a sweat yet." He begins to charge a Ki blast in his hand, pulling it back... almost like he's about to fire a one-handed Kamehameha. "Your skills are leaving a lot to be desired, Tuffle!"

You narrowly dodge the beam, dashing at him to counter, only for him to kick you aside. He starts a slow walk, chuckling to himself. "These skills... didn't come from me alone. Each of my friends, my loved ones, have helped me grow into the fighter I am today!" With sparks surrounding your fists, you charge Vegeta with all your might. He manages to get a hit in again, but right as he does, your palm slams into his gut. "WOLF! FANG! FIST!"

You proceed to pummel Vegeta with Yamcha's technique, doing minimal damage, but keeping him stunned. You can swear you hear Yamcha himself cheering ecstatically for you. And he's not alone. You switch it up again, this time calling out, "KI! JAN! KEN!" connecting the Rock, Scissors, Paper combo. You dash back, charging Ki at your fingertips. "DODONPA!"

The beam strikes Vegeta right in his big, dumb forehead, causing the Saiyan prince to grumble in annoyance. He tries to fire a barrage of Ki blasts at you, and right before they hit, you tap your fingers to your forehead and teleport directly above Vegeta. He keeps spamming the blasts for a moment, letting you get in the chance for a "TRIBEAM! HAAAA!"

Vegeta's blasted to the ground hard, and you feel a slight twitch all across your body as you manage the attack. He stands once more, roaring at you as he tries that one-handed Kamehameha again. You dodge it and appear in front of Vegeta. "And with their help... we will all CHANGE THE FUTURE!"

Your attack pushes Vegeta to the edge of the ring. You take a moment to catch your breath, the Saiyan giving a grumpy snort. "You surround yourself with weaklings and claim they give you strength. But to me, it looks like all they've done is fill your head with delusions against the natural order." His aura flares around him again. "Allow me to remind you of your place, Tuffle."

You wipe some sweat from your brow. Have to keep stalling him, he can't last forever. You can do this!

>A. Switch to pure defense, make him waste energy on you!
>B. Keep up the defend and counter strategy!
>C. Stun him, and take a moment to recover your Ki and Stamina!

We're going to need to commit some more power to an attack. We're dodging and getting some hits in, but the difference in power means that he's not going to take much damage. Okay, time to kick this up a notch! "Kaio-ken!" As the tranquil surge of strength fills your body, your strength doubling, you pull your hands back, sparks surrounding you. "DENJIN! Kaaaa... meee... haaaa..."

Vegeta chuckles, starting a slow walk. "Really? Come now, you've got to try better than that, Tuffle. Such a simple-"

You focus hard on Vegeta's Ki and quickly teleport behind him. "MEEEE... HAAAAA!"

You throw your hands forward, blasting Vegeta in the back, sending him flying. The crowds go wild as the Super Saiyan is launched in the air. You take a moment to catch your breath again, Vegeta falling to the ground like a meteor, leaving a crater in the ring as he crashes. You feel his Ki surge again as he forces himself up. A cold glare stares you down. "Are you done, Tuffle?! Because I'm starting to tire of these games." His body is still slightly stunned from your attack, but in spite of that he's still trying to force himself to move. You notice that while the attack did manage to hurt him... it's less than you would have liked. He's still not out of steam yet, either. "You think you can keep this up forever? My strength still outclasses yours by a wide, wide margin. The longer you drag this out, the more humiliating it will be when you're beneath my heel, BEGGING for mercy!"

You're still in this fight, but you might need to recharge soon. And Vegeta might not give you that opportunity...

Basically for some reason the anime got released in Spain and the manga too. Although they needed fan scanlations to read the end cause the anime doesn't reach the true end and they didn't publish the full manga.

In Spain Fly is almost as much loved as Goku is, there is even a short flash animation of Goku vs Fly that looks impressive by the time it was made.

Also the designs are indirectly made by Akira Toriyama. He did the art for the game but wasn't involved in the manga and anime.

If there's no limit to the sky, we can try IT-ing high above to get some distance on Veggie while we try to regen. That might also give us some time to release some spirit bits to wait in reserve for a Gate or to harass Vegeta at a critical moment.

But if veggie recovers, we may want to have a Samma Sankappa ready to tank his blows.

"Honestly, Vegeta? This match has been a blast!" you say with a sincere giggle. "I'm really having to test my limits here, been a while since I could go all out like this. You know, without it being a life-or-death situation. You're a great fighter, Vegeta." You turn your head to the waiting area, spotting Goku watching your match with that big, goofy grin of his on his face. You give a cheeky wink and smile to him. Monkey boy's definitely looking forward to seeing you in the finals.

Your focus turns back to Vegeta. He tries to keep a stoic visage... but for just a brief moment, he cracks a smile. He quickly changes it to a scowl and flies towards you. You meet his charge, sparks building up in your fists. He dodges a charged up blast of Lightning magic and the two of you meet... and as your fist rams into Vegeta's jaw, his manages the same. A cross-counter... but while his sends you to the floor, yours makes its mark. You quickly use the time you're allowed to charge up your Ki, then use the Samma Kammanta to get your Stamina back up.

You rub your cheek, grinning once more. Vegeta's still stunned, and that gives you ample time for a... "MP BUSTER!"

Vegeta seems surprised at first by the initial lack of damage, but quickly realizes that a chunk of his Ki is gone. He glares at you wordlessly... and seems to start charging his Ki. Wait... no, recharging it! Gah, Vegeta's learned that skill on his own? But he's wide open...

You let your power explode with a yell of "KAIO-KEN! TIMES FIIIIIIVE!"

Vegeta keeps charging as you dash to him, Spirit Bits out and ready to assist. Suddenly, he brings his hand forward, halting his charge. "This is enough of a warm-up. BIG BANG ATTACK!"

You think quickly and use some of the Spirit Bits to form a barrier around you to tank the attack. She sheer force of it blasts the shield apart, but you fly on forward, yelling "MAPLE SMASH!" as you clock Vegeta in the face, sending him back hard enough that he bounces. And he definitely felt that one. You try to have some of your remaining Spirit Bits fire at him, Vegeta dodging and countering by blasting them away, but you get the opportunity to trap him with a CLOTHES BEAM, putting him in a pink BAD MAN jacket.

He breaks it away with a short burst of Ki, narrowly dodging another Will 'O Wisp you send his way and stopping you dead in your tracks with a strong elbow strike to your ribs. You clutch your gut in pain; if you didn't have the Kaio-Ken up, that could have broken a couple ribs. Vegeta then spin kicks you down to the ground and tries for a brutal stomp, you rolling out of the way just in time. Bringing your final two Spirit Bits to you, you form a Stinger and uppercut Vegeta, sending him into the air.

He stops himself about ten meters up, panting. That did some real damage, and you know he's starting to tire out... but at this rate, you might barely last longer than he does. Gotta think of-

"Damn it... I wanted to save this for Kakarot..." Vegeta grumbles. "But if it means ensuring you know your place you Tuffle sow, it's time to show you just how powerless you really are!"

You wipe away some sweat. "Y-you've been holding back? Come on Vegeta, I thought you were in this to win!"

He grins sadistically. "Oh, I am. Consider yourself lucky, Tuffle. I've only recently managed to control this power. You will be the first to witness the refined strength of a Super Saiyan! PROOF that there is a level beyond!"

Your eyes widen as he starts to power up further. And... more than that, Vegeta's muscles seem to increase in size, his hair gets slightly spikier. It... this is like dad's skill! But not exactly... there's something different about it, his Ki fluctuates. While it's clearly increasing his power, he might not actually have total control of this. It's a true gamble. Vegeta lets out a defiant roar. "BEHOLD! THE POWER OF SUPER VEGETA!"

The gap's widened again. Vegeta... at this kind of strength, he probably clocks in at 300 million, but it seems to go up and down slightly by a few degrees. If... if you can outlast him, you still have a chance!

You're not giving up! Not yet! You brace yourself, standing your ground. Vegeta chuckles. "You're really intent on defying me? Tenacious, Tuffle. I'll admit, you are a credit to your race. But you are, and always will be, just that." He brings his hand forward. "A weak little Tuffle."

You dodge the Ki blast he fires, then narrowly avoid his next strike. You smirk slightly. Yeah, it is like dad's skill. It makes him stronger... but slower. Not as much as you'd like, but you're able to make up for the difference in strength with a newfound difference in speed. Vegeta keeps trying to attack, his strength fluctuating more, and every time it seems to dip, you use it as an opportunity to counterattack. You even manage a Lightning-boosted Machinegun Punch, stunning him and forcing him to waste more time in this imperfect transformation.

Once he breaks free, he is absolutely livid, flinging his arms out and charging up an enormous amount of Ki. In fact... oh gods, what the hell is he doing?! That could blow up half the planet by glancing it! "YOU WILL LEARN YOUR PLACE!" You fly up to keep him from hitting the stands. Need to time this right. Vegeta brings his hands together. "FINAL... FLAAAAASH!"

You steel yourself. With a deep breath, you say, "Samma Sankappa."

Powerful light seems to engulf you, energy surrounding you... but not reach you completely. It's blocked, tanked for just this moment. You let Vegeta expend that energy, then Instant Transmission back to him, ready for one more counter attack!

...and get an elbow to the face. "NOT THIS TIME!" Vegeta hollers, quickly delivering a powerful series of blows that get harder and harder to counter. He finishes it by smashing you over the head, pushing you into the Tournament floor. The Kaio-ken fades, and everything, EVERYTHING feels like it aches. You pant heavily, Vegeta grabbing your shirt and pulling you to your knees. His body seems to twitch, exhaustion setting in, but he's still got some fight left in him. "Hah... hah... hahaha! Oh that was a nice last ditch effort, but it looks like you're out of steam, Tuffle! I could end this easily now... but should I? There is still the debt you owe me... for... hah... blemishing my pride..."

You see his legs tremble. His strength flickers again. He's trying his best not to show it, but... he could lose this from overexertion. At the same time... well, maybe...

You chuckle a little. "Come on. You're enjoying this for the fight, Vegeta." Building up your last remaining ounces of Ki, you throw Vegeta off you with an Explosive Wave. He lands close to the edge of the ring. "But that doesn't mean I'll back down! I am NOT out yet! Not while I can still stand!" Your legs are trembling more than Vegeta's are. Everything... everything hurts like hell. "I am Maple, Turtle School Master, Champion of Earth! This fight isn't over until it's over, Vegeta!" You try your best to build up your remaining reserves of strength. If you don't manage this... you're going to pass out.

But you don't care.

You've been brought to your limits. You've used just about everything you can. This has been an amazing fight, and you've still got one last chance to win this! You let the Kaio-ken blaze around your body one last time, then dash forward with all your speed. This is it! Final blow! You roar out with all your might, "HALLOWED RUSH!"

Vegeta catches your fist.

And he laughs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNt4DxcpCvs

"Looks like it's over." he says with a smug, condescending grin. He gives a quick but powerful, painful jab to your gut. Vegeta tosses you back. You... no... your strength is fading... "People of Earth, listen up and listen well! Here lays your so-called 'Champion.' Broken, bruised, beaten, and put in her place." You feel his heel press into your chest and cry out in agony. Your vision starts to fade as you see him tremble above you. "Bested by... b-by... by ME! Prince Vegeta! ANY who think themselves brave enough to challenge me, know this: I am showing far, far more restraint!" he twists his heel again. Agh! "And MERCY!" And... again. Damn it all... it's... getting hard to breathe... "-than she deserves, after blemishing my honor! I might not be so humble next time this happens."

You close your eyes as Vegeta calls for the Announcer to start counting, taking his heel off your chest. And as he does, you hear Vegeta fall to his knees, panting in exhaustion.

"O-one! ...Two! ...Three!"

Vegeta laughs again. "Ha... haha... Tuffle... you... lose..."

"Six! ...Seven! ...Eight!"

You try to open your eyes one last time. You've got no strength left to push yourself back up... but out of the corner of your eye, you spot something. There's a smile across Vegeta's face. Not a malicious smile. Not one filled with schadenfreude. For a brief moment... you see him happy, actually happy, to have tested his limits like that.

"NINE!"

Maybe... maybe there's hope for him yet. A smile comes across your own face as you drift off.

"TEN!"

Nah, I'd much prefer sailing over Vegeta completely, hitting the wall, and falling to the ground.

Good game yeah? Poetic, even. Still, we could have just monkey'd him, but that wouldn't have taught him anything.
>>

This new combat system is also garbage, cuz what do we care about doubled damage when you won't even let us see the damage calculations? Go back to the old system.
>>
>>628209
Instead of a hallowed rush, why not push Vegeta and his part of the ring back with a Tribeam Cannon? Your tactics are as shaky as Maple is. Why would you make a person who can barely stand do a melee move?
>>
>>628209
And where was our chance to do another explosive wave when he was grinding his boots on us? We rolled a 10 wi=hich doubled the effect of the explosive wave. Since you only gave us a regular explosive wave, give us another regular explosive wave.

>The salt is real.
Because Kato follows the General Leo school of tactics which includes "Throw your person at a castle wall until the enemy gives up."
>>
>>628243
I know it was never in question, but it's good to see it's really just one guy bitching over and over.
>>
>>628254
I wished to win, Kato MADE us lose, ergo, I bitch.
>>
>>628209
Thanks for running.

Didn't really like that ending, slightly due to the exact way it ended, but mainly due to what we wagered on the tournament, and also because Vegeta is just an unlikable prick.
>>
>>628209
So, next session you'll let us have a vision of what'll happen if we make your tactical blunder, and we'll pick up where we left off at the explosive wave, ya?
>>
>>628256
The rolls made us loose, he interpreted how, combined with the options we took.
>>
>>628265
No point arguing with this dude.

He'll just keep going to ends of the earth.
>>
>>628265
We took the option to do an explosive wave, and to keep fighting. She interpreted that to mean that we would want to do the Hallowed Rush move when we're on our last leg. Kato took too much leeway with what we gave her.
>>
>>628254
There is one person in particular doig multiple bitchposts, yeah
Just don't mistake that for one person having an issue with this
>>
>>628265
Honestly, the interpretation of the rolls is kinda shit. Doesn't feel like 10s/1s have any impact even though they're supposed to. Double damage is too abstract to matter since we don't see any solid indication of HP/damage output and knocking off guard doesn't prevent us from getting completely stomped on, so what's the point.
>>
>>628209
>have fun?
tl;dr: no, not when you sabotage us?
>>
>>628278
We should do german hollow quest's dice roll system at some point.
It's maximum fun, since critfails only cause salt and bitching.
>>
>>628209
How was there a ring to stand on when Vegeta's final flash went off?
>>
>>628217
Double KO would have happened with an 8+,8+.
10,8+ or 8+,10 would have given you a victory.

>>628220
>>628223
It was about all you had left. You were on the verge of passing out, Vegeta would have won any beam battle you tried, and even on the edge, he's too durable for a normal Ki blast to knock him out of bounds.

>>628224
It really wouldn't have. It'd just make him feel cheated.

>>628225
>>628273
>>628278
Who all wants a switch back to d20?

>>628229
You didn't really have the power left to do a Tribeam without risking your life.

>>628233
Not enough Ki, and even if successful, it would just flip you into the air like a pancake. Vegeta would go down, but he wouldn't be out. Count would restart, and you'd lose.

>>628240
All right.

>>628258
Well, sorry about that, anon.
>>
>>628291
So why didn't you give us the option to do that energy restoration thing while attempting to stand up?
>>
>>628291
Regarding the 8/8 shit
It didnt FEEL like that was the case. With the descriptions, it seemed like we both could go down with the same amount of effort, we both were barely hanging on. A 10/fail or success/success seemed like it would have been appropriate for double knockout.

Regarding dice: i still vote for GHQ dice.
>>
>>628291
Doing that Hallowed Rush without our consent really injured the trust I place in you, y'know?
>>
>>628290
Because he aimed up. You moved to avoid collateral. Barrier wouldn't have been enough to keep the audience safe.

>>628295
You think Vegeta would let you?

>>628301
All right, a fair point, anon. Sorry.

What system is used in GHQ?
>>
>>628291
>Who all wants a switch back to d20?
Nah. Too swingy.
>>
>>628307
>You think Vegeta would let you?
It's a damn sight better than going in his boot-grinding range when we can barely stand.
>>
>>628291
>Who all wants a switch back to d20?
I still prefer this overall, I think. I just feel like the 10s/1s had very minimal impact, to the point that they almost feel entirely irrelevant. Might just be because I'm used to the d20 crits.

>Well, sorry about that, anon.
You don't have anything to apologize for. We made the wagers with Vegeta of our own volition. Still annoys me that he won them, especially the godmotherhood thing, but you're not at fault for that.
>>
>>628307
Would you please just give us a chance to actually vote on what we're doing in that last bout with Vegeta the next session?
>>
>>628324
Kato, can you please not do this? I would have liked to win, but fuck, not when it's the result of someone being saltier than Vegeta bitching constantly.
>>
>>628334
What is salty about the request I made, anon?
>>
>>628307
You can see an example here
>>618643

Its 3d10, except you only look at the end result.
No critfails, you have to pass a certain threshold determined by difficulty of task to succeed. A certain threshold above that is critical success.
Recommended that critical success is a fair deal higher than success, but never as high as possible ie 30 since thats incredibly rare to get.

Ive never seen a single bitchfit about the dice in that quest, so hey, it works
>>
>>628334
>>628335
I simply wish to have a chance to vote on what our last ditch effort will be and be able to make an informed roll of the dice on it. That is all.

To take any of that process away would be very game breaking. We're here to have fun, right?

Holeee shit listen to yourself. You're acting like another dozen rolls would do anything more than drag this out longer.

Vegeta threw you back into the ring, he was at the edge. Again, you think Vegeta would have let you recover, especially after seeing what you're capable of?

>>628316
By design, 1s and 10s are supposed to have less of an effect because of how frequent they'd be.

And I guess, but I kinda feel a little responsible for that too.

>>628341
Hmm. An interesting system. Who all would want to give it a shot?

>>628324
>>628334
Oh for the love of...

Look, honest vote here, do y'all actually want to do this?
>>
>>628355
Fuuuuck no. Leave it as a loss.
>>
>>628355
My vote is an obvious yes for GHQ dice,

And a no on retconning shit. Sorry anon, but I hate retcons.
>>
>>628355
>"do you wanna have a chance to play the game fairly?"
Yup. This really shouldn't even be a thing we'd have to argue about if you would just have some consideration for how much liberty you're taking with our character.
>>
>>628358
>And a no on retconning shit. Sorry anon, but I hate retcons.
Don't worry, we can see the future, especially the future with Kato's SUICIDAL CHARGE in it.

Also sure I guess to that dice system

Look here, son. I understand you're invested in this quest, and that it's probably upsetting to both lose and have taken a move that you feel is inappropriate (hell, several of us DO feel that the hallowed rush came outta nowhere and was a poor choice), but in the end, whats done is done. Posting up a storm isnt gonna change that, neither is being petulant to the QM and the players - and I'm saying this as someone who has had a lot of issues with some decisions kato has made in the past.
Its time to calm down, and look towards the future.
>>
>>628370
What's done without our consent in a quest is not done at all.

So I suggest you vote on this topic now.
>>
>>628372
I already voted no on retcon.
>>
>>628355
>By design, 1s and 10s are supposed to have less of an effect because of how frequent they'd be.
I understand, but they still feel muted to me. If the Explosive Wave was double damage or knocked him off guard, I would've expected him to not be able to pull off catching our fist and laughing about it. Like the other guy, I expected a double KO from it - something like Vegeta can't block us, but he manages to kick us as we punch him hard enough that we both go out of bounds.

>Who all would want to give it a shot?
I wouldn't mind at least trying it out.

>do y'all actually want to do this?
Not really. I worry that if we give into anon whining like this once he'll become even more unbearable every time something he dislikes happens.
>>
>>628373
Sorry, you all look the same to me.
>>
>>628374
>Not really. I worry that if we give into anon whining like this once he'll become even more unbearable every time something he dislikes happens.
Whereas if we give in to Kato on this, she'll probably take it as a sign that she can get away with taking away our options in the future.

Which impacts the quest in a way your own satisfaction?
>>
>>628370
This! Thank you!
>>
>>628383
Ahem, in a way TO your own satisfaction, damn, so close to sounding poignant!
>>
>>628383
I've already accepted handing a degree of control over the character to the QM as a limitation of the medium.
>>
>>628374
>he'll become even more unbearable every time something he dislikes happens.
Also, bear in mind that if Kato continues to refuse to correct the errors she makes with precedent given here, I will never forgive her, or any of you, and that won't be happy times for anyone involved here. Wasn't that the ends you were fearing with this one conciliation?.

>>628391
She asks us for actions, we tell her what we wish to do, she makes us roll for it. She does not make us do an action without our consent.
>>
>>628394

Okay, we're done here. I vote no on the retcon.

Kato's QMing occasionally makes for an unfair questing environment.

But with you there to defend her mistakes every time she makes them, I'm sure this quest is going somewhere!
>>
>>628398
I'd hope that for you more than her. Honestly, what were you thinking? Threatening to act like a bitch never works and always backfires.

>>628400
You're not supposed to mention when you report someone.
>>
>>628394
You are now on "if I can't be happy, NO ONE CAN" level. This quest does not cater to you alone.
>>
>>628410
>I'd hope that for you more than her. Honestly, what were you thinking? Threatening to act like a bitch never works and always backfires.
Well, refusing to correct one's mistakes is never a good thing to do and I will never let up on that if she continues to do so.

Is it really a threat if people are going to be threatening my enjoyment with continued blundering if they don't learn from this?
>>
>>628355
>Look, honest vote here, do y'all actually want to do this?
If we went through with that, I feel that'd get the best usage of "Change the Future" (which I don't really get why it's called that as it stands now) as it would fit the premise of a foresighted change of tactics, and it would make the foresight mechanic impactful and interesting instead of an excuse to guess the plot and villains of the next few arcs with "fore"(meta)-knowledge.

And why are you so surprised that people don't want to eat the shit you put in front of them?
>>
>>628533
>still bitching 3 hours later
It is called "Change the Future" because it is Trunk's move. As for the outcome of the thread I'm fine with it. You are coming off as an entitled brat who can't handle not getting their way. You're probably the type of person who can't take responsibility for their own mistakes, and thinks everything that goes wrong in their life is someone else's fault, whether it is the system, your boss, immigrants, etc. In short the typical Trump supporter.
>>
>>628538
Kato won't give us the chance to take responsibility, that failure at the end was all hers. We agreed to do an explosive wave, and we rolled a 10 on it. Then she had us do a second action that none of us agreed to.

Also, funny thing about you mentioning responsibility, it appears that I've polarized people to the point where to be seen agreeing with any of my words would put them in a pinch, right? Many others in this thread are also dissatisfied with Kato taking their choice away from them and making them pay for it, but since they have more tolerance for bullshit, they'll agree to let her get away with more. When I say what they're all thinking without holding anything back, they all get to see their thoughts and arguments on the subject crash and burn without any support. Isn't that funny?
>>
Kato, fantastic installment. Please don't change anything. The d10 system is great, less extraordinary successes/failures. We could use the 20 for riskier events, but I like the 10s for each action better. I see the point of the fags bitching you took liscense with final moves to wrap up the fight, but it was a good ending. Please don't retconn the ending. I've been with you through the shitposting thick and thin, this is the only quest I Still follow. Don't bend the knee. On an unrelated note, can we get a pastebin of Vegeta v Godzilla?
>>
>>628538
Please take all political discourse, spoilered or not, to /pol/ please. We have enough fighting here already you bluepilled faggot
>>
>>628547
I implore you to at least try out the GHQ dice
They're fantastic, I promise
>>
>>628550
They're actually pretty good. It's almost the same, just adding a crit level to success. But to do that we'd probably also have to have a crit fail lvl above all 1s or 2s as well. Not sure which I'd prefer more honestly
>>
>>628547
>Don't bend the knee.
She already did that when I asked nicely for her to give us the choice we were not given. Democracy still wins out, albeit with the winning option having our outcome stolen from us. But that's how y'all wish to proceed in this game, so we will.
>>
>>628566
>crit fail lvl
Look, all we just need is a crit success of 27 (three 9s) which is pretty damn difficult to achieve with dice, and there won't be a need for critfail levels.
>>
>>628641
Why not have crit failures if you're already gunning for crit successes?
>>
>We lost

Guess the kids gonna be called Vegeta the Third, we'll never see the kid ever and Vegeta can go fuck around in spac. Good fucking riddance.
>>
>>628355
>Again, you think Vegeta would have let you recover, especially after seeing what you're capable of?
I thought you would let us vote on what our character does before we do it given that we've argued over this many times now. You gave us the option to do an energy attack and resume combat, and because you felt it was time to end things you went ahead and put a lot of extra shit on top of what we picked when we should have gotten at least one more vote and action to roll on. Instead you made us roll another d10 for something we had no idea of. After all my bitching, do you at least understand why this was a problem?
>>
>>628613
>>628717
>STILL trying to argue your way hours later
Anon, just stop. You're only driving people further away.
>>
>>628744

>>
>>628849
Never. I'm always here. From the first post to archiving
>>
So, when is the next Secret Princess Zelda Quest?
>>
>>628566
There's no need for critfails, you know.
Critfails cause a lot of bitching, always, so I'd like to try a system that does not have them.
>>
All right, looks like a decision has been made.

We can try 3d10 next session.

>>628547
I'll get to work on that.

>>629231
Trying for maybe Sunday, maybe Friday.
