You open your eyes to a dark, dimly lit view of what appears to be a prison cell inside of a dungeon of some sort. You have no recollection of how or why you ended up in here, but the rotted femur and rib near your feet is a grim indicator that staying in this cell means certain death or torture. Luckily, it seems like whoever locked you in here is as dim as a troll. You spot a promisingly golden key hanging from the wall inside the cell to your right, presumably left there by accident...

You're about to reach out and grab the femur when you here a metallic, jingling sound. You look at your wrist to see a dreaded cuff around it, with both of your wrists shackled to the wall behind you. The femur is within your reach, however, the distance between you and the key is twice the reach you'd have with a femur in hand. Before giving up all hope you see a dark figure emerge from the hallway in front of your cell

"Psst!" the figure whispers

>What will you do?

"Hello...?" You call out to the figure

"Sssh!" the figure responds "Keep it down or the guards will hear you!" it scolds

"What is this place?" you ask.

"Hell if I know, all I know is that these bastards aren't smart enough to keep my ass in a cell" the figure responds.

You look to the golden keys hanging from the wall, the dark figure see this, walks towards the keys and tries to reach for it through the bars, however it turns out the anonymous escapee is too short to reach it. You do get a glimpse of the figure as it appears to have green skin and pink hair...

You grab the rotted femur on the floor and toss it to the short figure, who proceeds to slip a knob from the tip of the femur through the ring that held the key and free it from the hook that held it. It drops on the floor but the dark figure uses the femur to drag it closer and pick it up. Before unlocking the cell, the anonymous escapee reaches for the torch on its toes and grabs it after audibly straining itself for it. After unlocking the cell the dark figure turns out to be an adult, female goblin dawning a leather strap bra and loincloth. She walks towards you and looks up to you.

"The name's Smithy" she introduces herself
"Just keep in mind you owe me yer ass for this..." she continues before looking to the bolts in the wall behind you that held the shackles in

"What can you do about my shackles?" you ask the goblin

"Oh shaddup already and keep quiet, I know what to do" she assures as she takes a metal object she hid and uses it to unscrew the bolts

"These jackasses don't know a goddamn thing about good security" she murmurs as she unscrews the second bolt, freeing you, but the shackles and chains remain to your wrists. Smithy then hands you the torch. Before you can even thank her footsteps begin to echo towards your cell...

You tell the goblin your plan

"I'll do it but I ain't leaving this cell, it's too dangerous out there and I need you around as you'll be of use to me" She quickly inserts the screws into the wall just a tad bit without twisting it and nimbly scampers to the hall to place the torch back. She quietly shuts the cell door back and places the ring of golden key back on the knob of the femur and slides it through the hook on the wall before scurrying behind you

"Hurry up and sit your ass down!"

You do so and the little goblin curls up behind you, completely out of sight

A cloaked woman walks in front of your cell, notices the femur peculiarly far away from the place it was last time she checked the cell while you were unconscious. You grit your teeth, hoping she won't check the lock to sniff out any shenanigans but luckily she bellows a malicious chuckle and walks down the hallway, out of sight.

After the cloak woman walks further down the hall you ask for the Goblin's name, who is still curled up behind your back

"I already told you, it's Smithy" She responds.

Smithy surveys the outside of the cell before waving a beckoning gesture

"Come on!" Smithy calls

After grabbing the torch once again, you and Smithy creep through the halls quietly, you decide that now is a good time to start some Q&A. You ask who the cloaked woman was, what she was imprisoned for, and how you both can escape.

You both lean against a wall as Smithy peers out

"I recognize that shifty bitch!" Smithy begins "Hell if I know what crime I committed to end up here, but this sure as hell isn't a prison under any kingdom's jurisdiction. Now I don't know the exit of this dump, but what matters first is that I find the other goblins I was traveling with"

Smithy lets out a light gasp and retracts away from the corner of the wall and turns towards you in a quick, swift motion

"Those bastards have my friend Nydia in there" she says urgently as the loin cloth swung outward due to her sudden motion, exposing her round, bulbous, goblin buttocks

You notice the little darkness enshrouded goblin shackled in the cell next to an empty metallic holster meant to hold torches. You hear the whispers of guards in the distance but they seem to be coming pretty far from the hall down to the right, you also notice barrels near the corner of the wall that held the cell

You and Smithy walk past the cell and lean in towards the wall near the corner where three barrels stood there. You begin to discretely check barrels for anything useful. Inside the first two barrels you discover an elven bow, a pint-sized bottle of kerosene, and a quiver of 3 arrows.

>['Elven bow' stored in inventory]
>['Bottle of kerosene' stored in inventory
>['Quiver (3 arrows)' stored in inventory]

Smithy hops up on the last unchecked barrel and slumps over into it, comically obscuring the upper half of her small goblin body.

"There ain't shit in here but this black powder" she says, the barrel muffling her words slightly. Just then you notice what seems to be couple of shadowy figures emerge from one hallway, but luckily they take a right down the hall away from you They seemed to be actual guards and appeared muscular, huge, and heavily armored, most likely orcs. You hear another faint jingling of the imprisoned goblin's shackles.

The barrel is half way full of what smells like gun-powder. It could be lifted about 2 inches above the floor without too much effort. The barrel straightens, cylindrically in the middle to allow for easy rolling

>put out torch
>sneak towards chained goblin

You remember that Smithy's loincloth is made from thin leather. You ask Smithy for permission to use her loin cloth

"Alright, make it quick though" she responds

You pinch the end of her loin cloth and pull it over the flaming tip of the torch, suffocating the fire emitting from it.

The chained goblin, who's name is Nydia, focuses her gaze at Smithy, her eyes brightening with familiarity

"The hell took you so long?" the goblin jokingly asks Smithy

"Had to free this human pervert before I got here" Smithy responds "So what's up, are the others down here?"

"No..." Nydia begins "They're still in the carriage above this dump. Don't you remember anything, Smithy?"

Smithy nods her head no

"Figures, that bitch Velvia actually had to use a slumber spell on you to keep ya down"

"Velvia?" Smithy inquires

"She's that chick in the cloak that captured us. She has a bunch of orcs patrolling this dungeon, but luckily they're only seems to be 5. One of the 3 patrolling this section has the key to this cell, but don't think you can pick-pocket it, that orc has the key wrapped around its bottom fang. The only way to get it is defeat em'"

"How the fuck are we gonna do that?" Smithy asks

You then hear the steps of the three guards previously spotted getting louder around the corner, luckily there's still a decent amount of time to think of a plan.

Oh, just 5? That makes this a lot simpler.

Extinguish all the lights. When the orc comes over with a torch, start shooting from a hiding place. As he starts running for us, smithy splashes the kerosene all over his torch and arm/body. Don't explode the barrel with some kerosene and a thrown torch unless all 3 of them are here.

>extinguish all the lights

The only lit torch in the hallway is the one across from Nydia's cell. You take it down and extinguish the flame with Smithy's loin cloth once again. With the hall completely dark you and Smithy wait in the shadows. All 3 orcs emerge from the corner, the one in front holding a torch with something glimmering on his bottom fang.

>shoot from a hiding place

The orcs are dawned in heavy, steel armor with thick leather padding, those measly arrows you have would just ricochet off the orcs on impact. If said orc were to come charging there just isn't enough kerosene in the bottle to splash and light the orc on fire, especially considering the armor he has on. However, all 3 are near the barrel filled with gunpowder

>explode the barrel with kerosene and a thrown torch

You pull out the bottle of kerosene but there isn't a lit torch to throw as you extinguished both the one in your inventory and the one on the wall.

"Gimme that" Smithy says as she grabs your Elven bow and an arrow from your quiver. She dips the arrowhead in the bottle of kerosene and draws the bow. Nydia sees this and knows exactly what to do

"Guards!" she calls "I just saw a nachrus (venomous spider whose venom is only harmful to goblins and fatal for orcs) laying eggs on that barrel there" and points to the gunpowder filled barrel. The orc puts his torch over it to cast light upon the barrel. Just then, Smithy releases the bow and the arrow shoots towards the barrel, passing through the flame of the torch on the way, lighting the kerosene and piercing the barrel, causing an explosion that incinerates the other two orcs and killing the large orc right away, his smoldering body lying on the floor with the key in his tooth.

You remove the key from around the deceased orc's tooth making sure to be as fast as possible, someone was absolutely sure to hear that blast. You unlock Nydia's cell with the key that also unlocks her shackles. You try it on yourself and manage to get the shackles you've been slinking around off your wrists. The two goblins hug each other.

"Lets get the hell out of here, someone definitely heard that shit" Nydia suggests

"Not without taking some damn weapons" Smithy retorts as she looks to the three deceased orcs

>loot orcs

After searching the orcs you're able to acquire an orcish sword that was slightly dull, a two handed axe that was way to heavy for you to swing in a battle, a chain mail glove that you now wear under your right glove, and an iron shield. Smithy finds a dwarven arrow, one of the sharpest, most precise type of arrows in existence and keeps it in her hand.

>['dull orcish sword' equipped]
>['two handed orcish axe' stored in inventory]
>['iron shield' equipped]

"Hold on" Nydia beckons you "May I see your sword and the last two arrows of yours?" she asks

You relunctantly hand Nydia the orcish sword as she feels out its dull edge. She then holds the sword and arrows in both hands with the blade soon beginning to glow a brilliant blue with the 2 arrows disintegrating

"Hurry up, someone's coming!" Smithy informs Nydia

Nydia had just finished temporarily enchanting the orcish sword to have razor sharp edges. You are not surprised as it has been said that goblins are innately gifted enchanters with dwarves and blacksmiths seeking out goblins to enchant their wares.

"It won't last for long" Nydia warns "I used the properties of the wooden arrows to artificially sharpen and strengthen the blade, after a while it'll just shatter"

You and the two goblins then make a mad dash down the hallways, Nydia leading all of you to where she remembered the exit was, just before you can make it however your path is intercepted by a fierce female orc.

"I'm afraid this is where your little adventure ends, b'uulkshas (orcish slur for goblin)" the orc bellows

"N'Vaalkia..." Nydia murmurs

N'Vaalkia wasn't wearing much armor as she dawned only a leather thong and a leather strap bra with boots. All definitive traits of an orcish T'chalkii (swordsman/swordswoman) so an impressive agility was to be expected. She however wielded a two handed claymore, one hit from that would mean sure death, but luckily speed is a claymore wielders biggest weakness.

The already flustered orc takes another fruitless swing as she loses balance after you duck under it causing her to collapse to her knees. Just then Smithy releases the bow, sending the dwarven arrow flying straight towards the orc's neck. Bulls-eye. That's what it seems like at first until the arrow inexplicably changes trajectory and flys upwards as if my some force of magic, narrowly missing the orc's face by an inch. As the dwarven arrow hits the ceiling it explodes causing debris to fall.

You ask what is was that made the arrow explode

"While you were fighting the orc I was enchanting the bow with some of the gun powder I scooped up after that barrel was blown up when you guys freed me" Nydia explains

"A better question is what the hell happened to the arrow" she asked Nydia, frustrated.

Just then a purplish force field materializes around N'Vaalkia protecting her from the falling debris and the mysterious cloaked woman, Velvia appears alongside the orc, seemingly from thin air

"Well, well..." She begins "It seems I underestimated all of you, I never expected two goblins and a human to be able to cause so much ruckus. I would kill you now, but I'm afraid you've left this dungeon in quite a predicament. So enjoy your little victory as I promise it will be your last."

Debris soon starts to fall nearer towards you as it seems the entire ceiling of this dungeon is about to collapse. You scoop the two goblins in the arm that had the shield equipped make a cold and fierce dash towards the glass window with the two goblins following held close to you. You make running jump and punch through the glass with the chain mail glove you have equipped and fall out two stories into a conveniently placed haystack. During the fall Smithy slips from your embrace as you hit the haystack with Nydia close who quickly crawls out of the haystack to get out of the way of the still airborne Smithy who plops down on your chest.

"...Thank you so much for what you did back there, with the window, I mean as well as all the other shit you've done. That took major balls" Smithy says looking down at you

You're shocked to hear Smithy compliment you as she always seemed the thorny type, especially towards you at first.

In the sky was a bright shining sun which seemed to gleam off the rump that was plopped against you

"Alright, there, now you see firsthand that what they say about goblins is true. Now would you stop looking at my ass?"
