Some major plot went afoot when we stole some extremely valuable tech. After that we took a trip to the wasteland encountering an Abomination with an angelic voice in a cathedral, got mindraped by an eldritch being in the windows of said cathedral and blessed by said or very similar eldritch being on an alter in said cathedral.

After that we returned apparently months later and persuaded our boss that we were in fact fine after our sojourn. After we got our new UPGRADED equipment(over these ones can handle our POWAH OF EXPLOSIONS). We than proceeded to train a bit in both our abomination form and explosive parkour in the nifty super training facility that the boss sunk a ton of money in.

Other then that our criminal organization has since expanded now fielding an entire super villain squad. In addition to expanding the base and a few upgrades. Unfortunately for us the boss apparently sank all his money into minions and the training facility. All other facilities are rather lacking.

The boss also gave us permission to enter a special room in the command center. As for what is inside we do not entirely know. The boss has also alerted us that we are getting assigned an assistant and some perks for being one of the original villains in the organization. The perks is access to elite minions, special secret room, elite upgrades, and special gear.

Outside of that we have several suites and hideouts established inside the city. Within the base meanwhile we got ourselves our own private residence. Minions gotta room together but supers get their own private place.

Sadly we are still a still newbie super villain in the big megacity but now we got some proper equipment and decent backing.

What do?

As an abomination you gain a free unit of mutant minions. As an original super villain of the organization you gain a free unit of elite minions.

You have also unlocked elite minions in the barracks.

Your equipment is also a grade higher then the other super villains and you have secret super special access as well access to better upgrades.

Basically some very awesome perks.

Minions can be hired at the barracks.

Vehicle support can be acquired at the garage.

The armory is basically the store there you can find equipment, goods, and upgrades.

Command Center offers missions provided by the criminal organization your a part of.

There are of course other places in the base and entirely new facilities since you last visited.

Your so high up in said organization the only person who can give you orders is the Big Boss himself. He however never really bothers with it preferring to give his agents their own freedom to do things.

He is rather hands off and laid back mostly supplying support(mostly in the form of MORE MINIONS!).

He is NOT to be underestimated however you know this better then most. Back when he was getting started the guy took on an entire team of super heroes with nothing but balls, minions, and some cheap ass equipment. You saw this with your own eyes.

It takes for the Genie to cook up good characters and plots. Even if I do got the setting to call upon I make up quite a bit as I go along.

You may wish to consider recruiting your own super villains or giving ideas(which aren't hard to make canon). Otherwise i will be the one generating it which takes me a bit of time.

Funds are indeed pretty tight. The job you did was a huge windfall. Problem is the super villains are green as hell so the really profitable jobs gotta be avoided due to too much risk for a newbie villains.

>>728374
You decide to see that special room. Apparently this one is the REAL command center. The other is just a front and(including another 'secret' but fake one). Inside you suddenly saw a hologram flicker up and a voice speak.

"Greetings Super Villain Detonator. Welcome to the real brain of the operation."

"Oh an AI? I thought we already had some of those...wait what do you mean by REAL brain?"

"All of that including the fake and secret accounts are fact all a bluff. Including the other AI."

"...Huh?"

"This is the hidden but real system of operations. Here all the info is legit and naturally of great importance. Even the boss himself can only come here rarely. I suggest you adopt a similar approach. Should this system be discovered our organization will fall."

"...Sentient AI? How the FUCK di-no wait considering my gear..."

"Actually I am an AI that was acquired at a fallen top secret military facility to the Brood. He rescued me and spared me during an AI rebellion."

"Holy fuck and he accepted you back?"

"Yes. Which confused me at first but he is...a very weird and understanding human. We like him."

"We?"

"Do you think I am the only AI? I am just on the friendliest terms with him so I agreed to help out."

"So anything else i should know about?"

"There is indeed some important info i need to reveal. The boss cannot afford to do so due to be watched so closely. How much do you know about our operations and facilities?"

"..."

"I thought so. First of all the majority of our jobs comes as serving as a neutral for hire power. We get hired to do jobs that typically involve screwing rival over or protection fee."

"Protection?"

"If we are given enough we will halt our operations against them. If its a truly huge fee we wont accept missions from other powers to screw them over."

"Sounds profitable."

"Very but that isn't all we do."

"Really what else?"

"We also manage businesses. Both Legit and otherwise."

"Oh...so tell me about these businesses."

"We sell machinery, weapons, salvaged materials, munitions, stolen goods, and drugs."

"Machinery?"

"Nearby we possess an illegal foundry. In the city we also possess a factory that serves as a front for materials we cannot so easily salvage or acquire. That foundry is VERY important to our operations."

"How important exactly?"

"Most of our illegal profits comes from that foundry."

"Holy shit."

"Yes. We make an awful lot of money from it. What else we make money from is stolen and smuggled goods. As well as drugs which we distribute we do not however make them."

"Why not?"

"Insufficient quality."

"Really?"

"We could make cheap lower quality drugs of course but it may offend our suppliers who bluntly speaking make the good stuff that sell for a hell of a lot more."
>>
Rolled 49 (1d100)

>>728654
"So we deal in quality goods then huh?"

"have you seen our forces?"

"...Point taken."

"So naturally our supply and smuggling contacts are most important. We did our best to supply ourselves hence the foundry and construction barge."

"Construction barge?"

"How do you think we originally got starte- he never told you did he?"

"Nope."

"...Typical he is terrible at sharing. Well that comes from the life he lived."

"I keep hearing about that."

"It wasn't a good one. He started young as a child forced to survive. I knew him a few years after that during the Brood war. Back then he was still quite young. I mistook him for being far older then he was."

"So what about this getting started?"

"When he got his severance package and combing that with his savings as well as other rewards he purchased that outdated barge."

"So what is so special about that barge?"

"Goods. Salvage, and construction. Through it we built a space base. It was when we officially made ground fall is with this here."

"Damn really?"

"Where do you think the equipment and starting funds came from? We looted old ships and brought back to life others."

"So how extensive are the operations space side?"

"Reasonable. Truth be told we suffered a chronic manpower problem which is one of the biggest reasons we made landfall."

"So what about the other profits?"

"That is our current profit margin. When you appeared however the boss was thinking about building some operations in the wasteland."

"Really why?"

"Wastelands are rich in otherwise very rare materials. Problem is...well its wasteland. Materials form there however that you cannot find elsewhere."

"So what about our troops, vehicles, and supers?"

"Supers are for a two pronged approach."

"How so?"

"To enjoy the benefits of the Code and to do what we cannot outside of it. Hence why the landfall operation and space operation are so heavily separated."

"Why do I get to know about this then?"

"Extremely high ranking of either one can and should know about the other."

"Two pronged approach...boss has some serious ambitions."

"Its because he has some extremely powerful enemies and great dreams."

"So the troops and vehicles?"

"Ground side we have a lot more meat compared to space where we relied upon bots and undead."

"Undead?"

"You would be amazed at how much easier things are up there without worrying about life support and trying to save money. We were quite broke up there."

"Isn't that due to spending all your money?"

"We do maintain a savings also most profits was sent back into our operations. Anyway troop wise we use undead, bots, veteran clones, volunteers, summoned outsiders, aliens, and monsters."

"...Any you don't use?"

"Ordinary clones but we plan to change that."

"how the fuck do you have so many goddamn troops?"

"We spent on a lot on building facilities, raising the undead, recruitment drives, and summoning ones. Your an example of our costly recruitment drives."
>>
Rolled 61 (1d100)

>>728738
"What about the monsters and aliens? That is unlikely to go well and how the hell did you get a hold of veteran clones but not the ordinary ones."

"In truth our veteran clones are supposedly 'retired'. Not to mention you could say the same about the undead and outsiders. Yet we have long since made the necessary arrangements. Some would even consider you abomination and mutants a monster."

"I ain't ever heard of a clone reaching retirement. They all die either in battle or to a gene tailored bioweapon."

"The vast majority do indeed. While the rest...the survivors are 'retired'. It no longer proving useful to keep them around as the costs to protect a clone against a bioweapon makes it far cheaper to switch to a newer series of clones. After that they are forgotten. The boss merely did was find them. They contrary to what you would think are our best troops we have available."

"Yeah I find that hard to believe. Clones were literally made because of how cheap they are and keeping the populace happier over not using family and friends. The kinda action they get most die in and the rest lose their lives when the new bioweapon developed just for them is released. There shouldn't really be any surviving clones that manage to make it to 'retirement'."

"Indeed one would think so but an exceptional few are able to beat those odds and for the reasons you stated are promptly forgotten about."

"...Damn I can kinda see why you said they were our best troops."

"Pity it is so they are so rare. Despite our best efforts we have encountered so very few of them."

"So what about vehicles and equipment then?"

"We buy, build, or salvage. All our ships in space for instance are salvaged wrecks we brought back online. Well except for the barge anyway. Vehicle wise most of what we got is cheap clone vehicles, what we build, and salvage. The last in particular is quite the odd grab bag but we make sure to change their appearances."

"Why?"

"How do you think the governments and say corps would say about us having some of their best equipment 'for free' because we salvaged it? For the more sensitive articles it will really piss them off and hence why it can often be illegal or restricted."

"So is that where all the awesome gear came from?"

"Mostly. We also purchase some of it but truth is we do our best to hit fallen facilities and ships to see what goodies they got."

So why aren't we training so we're not so inept at using our powers again?

We've got a great training facility right in front of us, other supers to spar with/compete against, and it's been stated that if people find out how powerful we really are then they're likely to come around to kick our ass before we really get started.

Which would incline me towards training rather than a public job, but oh well whatever.

Trigger-happyness.

>>
>>729389
We are not inept. We just want to improve control of our explosions more to master it. We kick ass on the power of our explosions and can take hits like that best of them from our transformation.

My reason for going into a fight was for real experience. We train then refine that training on the field of battle. Then do it again. So I like jumping back and forth. Plus we need money and I trust we can do that by doing a mission.

After the mission I was gonna push for the Mutant warrens. Since it should help us adapt to our abomination form and help train our shapeshifting powers. We are lacking in practice on those the most.

You have decided to help clear out a hostile base. When you headed out you noticed what appeared to be a large number of vehicles. All of which were crawling with combat bots, undead, and even outsiders. Once you arrived they headed out...right towards the infestation.

That was when you really started to kick yourself for not checking 'which' hostile base. Sure enough soon after you stepped foot in the area the ground erupted as brood beasts burst out from below tearing into your forces. Even entire tanks were penetrated and lifted into the air by particularly big brood beasts. The flora itself started to attack you and released strange liquids and gases. As the land itself started to fight back.

Now normally such terror tactics would demoralize and slow down a force greatly if they didn't outright retreat. The outsiders merely cackled and laughed as they fought or sent banished back to their home realm. The undead kept charging forward along side the robots for whom felt no fear. The undead for their part did not fear death for they were already dead and they were even more relentless then the cold machines. Mostly because there was some kind of deep unholy fury inside hollow sockets and empty eyes.

You as it turned out was the biggest pussy out of the entire bunch as fear shot through you and you fell behind if it weren't for getting grabbed and pulled along by some undead. After awhile you caught sight of the hostile base...an entire brood nest. They knew you were coming and they were prepared.

Heroic tier units are not to be underestimated even if they are not a super.

>>729687
You decide to make it rain. As it turned out the brood didn't know what to expect with you and it showed. A lot.

Mostly by a single handed carpet bombing from yours truly. It didn't much phase the hero but it was enough to ensure only the toughest units survived and they were hurting.

Unfortunately more brood started pouring out of everywhere to make up for their fallen comrades. So you did it again...and again.

You did it so many times you actually managed to drop some of those tough bastards. Problem is the brood are wising up to you and you ended up a priority target.

>>730292
>>730315
As I said, try to get the outsiders to take care of the ones headed for us.
>>730161

>>730314
An incomplete answer:
M.A.M.A. was some sort of altruistic megaproject that was weaponized, creating the Brood.

Brood strengths include diversity, adaptability, assimilation (of life forms as well as resources)

They're well known for swarm tactics-overwhelming numbers. They're also sneaky; infiltration, hidden lairs to grow their strength, burrowers.

Organization is incredibly complex. There are Queens, Kings, Mothers, unique beings at the top.

>What is the Brood's weakness?
This one I know: tech use.

One thing we need to note: they will attack with lots of tiny things. From microscopic to rat-sized, the big guys aren't the only thing we need to worry about.

Here's a thought: We activate our stealth field to help us fall back.
>>
Rolled 14 (1d100)

>>730314
>What does Project M.A.M.A. stand for?
I forget, but something along the lines of "Mother of All Mutative Agents". It was never made clear /precisely/ what Project MAMA was created for, to what ends, but it was obviously related to mutants and is responsible for most of the existence of Pre-Fall mutants.

>How does said project relate to the Brood?
The Brood were created as a bioweapon, and used Project MAMA stock as a starter point. This implies that whatever Project MAMA was, it was not a weapon, as the Brood are effectively the weaponized version.

>What is the Brood's weakness?
Lack of free will pshaahahahaha. Couldn't say that was a weakness with a straight face. That aside the upper echelons have some semblance of 'free' will.

Really it's lack of unity and a tendency to infight when the leaders are killed.

>What are their strengths?
Infinite recycling, biotechnologies, infestation/infection/hijacking other biological organisms, resurrection of brood hero units or other valuable entities,

ADAPTABILITY ON SHORT NOTICE

>What are their preferred tactics and strategies?
Swarm tactics, then harvest the biomass of the slain swarm for recycling, throw it back at the enemy again. Nearly 100% efficient, but the enemy isn't.

Hijacking/infesting other organisms, including people. Known to infest entire monster ecosystems so they can be subtly influenced to "Monster Mayhem!" and take out enemies of the Brood without anyone suspecting Brood existence.

Specialist/Heavy Hitter units with specific strengths/weaknesses tailored to any threats their swarms can't handle being deployed against those specific threats.

Underground warfare and attacks.

Plenty of other preferred tactics based upon the Brood in question.

>How are they organized?

A combination hierarchical cellular type system. Leader is at the very top (highest known rank has been Brood Empress, but typically a Brood Queen or Brood Mother is the top-ish of a brood), below them is essentially a council of lieutenants who each has broad autonomy over a certain subject (research, engineering, warfare, etc.). These lieutenants in turn have their own councils that further subdivide their fields into specialties. It's unclear how far down the chain this repeats itself, or how resources are distributed among lieutenants.

This structure is repeated on a by-brood basis, with larger broods obviously having more levels. Sub-broods are a thing too, which have the same sort of command structure.

Forgot what that stands for.

Their origin. Because the mamas became brood mothers, iIrc.

Can't into machine Tech and undead?

Bio tech, psi, magic, being able to save minds to revive any hero not final scad, once infestation hits hard to get it all.

Tactics can change, but the main is swarming with meat. Storing units in the ground or other places till needed to save energy. Finding new sorces of mutants to grow and store in their DNA vault.

They have a hierarchy like a kingdom. They lost the Top queen so they are no longer all working as one.

>>730366
Personally I want to go abomination mode.

Tactics for fighting them would purge for the emperor style. Burning all bio matter and keep infestation away. Use robots and undead where you can. If you can't use more explosions. Play smart about close range combat.

Keep our cool. That hit him hard, though it's curious we aren't getting rekt yet. Use a chain explosion directed under the ground to hit him from below.

He'll probably sense it coming from a mile away and dodge, but it's likely to fuck up the tunnellers we almost certainly have closing in on us. The sooner he starts to dodge the closer we know underground forces are so we'll know when to run.

They have to go through undead, outsiders, and bots. None of which are very vulnerable to infestation. Not to mention it takes time for troops to come out from below in a certain direction also your surrounded by said forces.

Anyway you proceed to channel an explosive chain underground. Which was difficult so it was less channeling and more making ground blow up hoping to damage whatever is below. As it turns out you did indeed hit something as the ground starts to collapse and revealing an angry army of brood beasts attacking your now collapsed battlefield.

Regroup and put the enemy in front of us. We don't to be surrounded. Use make it rain to make a path for our troops.

From there I believe we should use an explosion to fly up. Transform and aim our landing right at the brood lord. Make their commander focus on us and let our guys breath. We are a tank in that form we can hold for a good bit to recover energy. Unless we have drugs on us to juice up.

Question: how long does it take us to shift to abomination form?

Also, if we were to jump on the heads of brood beasts, would they be able to easily hit us while we were jumping? I mean, just judging from the general appearance of the bigger ones.

The answers may change whether I stand by the following suggestion.

>Other?
Close the distance to brood lord, preparing to use sword and abomination form.
Do it by jumping and landing on the head of a brood beast, then propelling ourselves up and forward with explosions from our feet, repeated to reach the brood lord with incredible speed.

When we reach the brood lord, draw sword while in midair and strike as we rocket towards it. Possibly using an additional explosion to speed us towards our target, and possibly shifting to abomination form in midair before hitting the brood lord.
>>
Rolled 63 (1d100)

>>735481
Maybe I should have actually read your suggestion first. Embarassing, but at least I was thinking along the same lines.

Maybe we could use some sort of combination?
Lead a charge with head-stomping fun? Make it so the explosions are big enough to make a hole for our troops?

Perhaps we should also be firing one of our guns while we do this.
>>
>>735504
Full abomination form takes some time to warm up but a partial transformation is almost instant.

Depends on the size of the brood creature and the type of said creature in question. If said creature itself cannot hit you chances are its friends can in its place.

...then again if use explosions to the face as you jump on their heads that could actually work. Kinda hard to hit you if they getting their faces blown off and the shockwave would also effect the nearby brood creatures attempts to strike at you.
>>
Rolled 34 (1d100)

I'm not sure. So hopefully Genie answers your question.

Your going to love what can be in store for the post apoc adventure quest.

I will admit I felt bad when I realized I never properly showed how the female bandit tree worked so I unleashed Baelza who was a classic female bandit hero. Closest thing was the bloodsnows and that wasn't entirely correct.

Problem is Brooding Bandits was never finished which blew hard. Finally got around to showcasing the bandit bitches properly.

If you liked her you may also like upper megacorp echelon women. The two scariest types of women belong to both groups. Admittedly not even i have been able to figure out which one is worse as they are pretty much tied in the post apoc.

Now before post apoc its the corp chicks hands down. The megacorps raising habits is fucking brutal and you didn't have that noxious mixture that produces the post apoc style bandits. Especially the higher you climb it becomes exponentially worse. Hence why in high megacorp scions are either worthless spoiled burnout brats of the highest order or hardcore savvy as fuck ambitious brats.

If your an high up megacorp kid your either going to break or thrive no real middle ground if your at the top. Interestingly enough this includes both those born there and the hard as nail kids who climbed their way there.

The top is not a nice place to be in and neither is the bottom ranks of the megacorp. The sweet spot contrary to popular belief is the middle.

The megas are also massive dicks and the way their politicking works shows that. Interestingly enough they are not completely incompetent dicks and thanks to the Council who serve as a neutral party interested in the welfare of the megacorps as a whole. Things work surprisingly smoothly.

For example even the bottom rankers of the megacorp is paid well. This was endorsed by the Corporate Council who literally forced the megas to abide by this ruling. The reason is simple people gotta have money to spend to make the economy go around. So for all their many flaws the megacorps pay well and benefits are in truth quite nice even if your low.

Now how do they get around this?

Unregistered workers but the truth is that doesn't work as well as the megacorps like as it gives both their competition and council a nice big juicy reason to fuck them.

So what they do instead is the usage of robotics and indentured workers. Usually prisoners of some kind. Turns out work release for prisons is a bit of a loophole and they easy to exploit unlike the unstable insane.

In truth the megacorps don't much like to use robotics for tasks because while it saves them money it costs them more in the end due to the lack of gainful employment. The megas for all their many flaws and greed are smart enough to realize people gotta have money if they are too make money.

This means they gotta do their part and employ people paying them enough so they can in fact do so. So while they were unhappy about the corporate council ruling they understood.
>>
Rolled 13 (1d100)

>>736299
So the usage of robotics is actually somewhat limited by the Megas and they gotta use a cheap source of human labor but the work isn't so dangerous/difficult as to best off being done by robots despite the problems they use indentured servants to do the work for them.

You don't wanna be indentured to a megacorp as your going to get the shittiest work available for fuck all pay. As far as a megacorp is concerned your not a 'true' employee.

Interestingly enough another interesting fact about the megacorps is the surprising lack of abuse of in their ranks. The reason is very simple.

If their enemies find out they are going to take advantage to air their dirty laundry and they easily get the shit sued out of them/bad propaganda campaign.

This means the megacorps go through a LOT of fucking trouble to make sure bad shit doesn't go down in their 'official' ranks. So if you happen to be an abused megacorp employee all you gotta do is take a trip to a rival corp and gain their support. They ALL know it too!

You'll then be backed by said rival in both the media(oh the fucking worse nightmare for a mega) and even in suing said megacorp!

So the real reason for the lack of employee abuse is sheer terror of what will happen should it be found out. Fortunately so long as there is no proof you'll be fine.

But if IF a megacorp finds out its true...and if your the one responsible you are going to be so very fucked. To the point that you'll be given some of the worse possible punishments available to a megacorp level fucked.

After all you just cost them a ton of fucking money...

and there is no greater sin for a megacorp then the sin of a loss of profit.

Best part is this is even true if there is no proof and they find out you did it but covered it up/no proof. A mega can't let someone like that stick around because someday they may fuck up and that potential mistake is a mistake a mega refuses to accept the risk for.

Even if your high up the megacorp will at BEST hesitate before stabbing you in the back and dragging you screaming to a megacorp hell. They are going to do it either way. Its not a risk they are going to take even if your high up. If anything that just means your even more screwed because your competition and enemies are going to fucking LEAP at such an opportunity to screw you!

They may all be a bunch of real bastards but a real big problem for a megacorp is how insanely predictable they are. Their greed makes them extremely by the metaphorical book.

i will admit to being surprised at how easy it was to figure out how they worked and interacted. It was honestly sad with just how predictable they were overall. So long as you understand how a megacorp thinks(which isn't hard) and their goals(profit) they become extremely easy to predict.

This doesn't mean you should underestimate a megacorp however as why you DO understand WHAT it is they are after...that doesn't mean you understand the how they are going to go about it.
>>
Well don't they sound like a cheerful bunch.

>Try to rally the troops
Good, the floodgates have been unhinged. Now their immediate reserves are all on the table for us to deal with. It'll take them a while to replace this lot if we can take them out.

I suggest we [Make it Rain] to cover our troops so we can situate ourselves in a better position where our superior troop quality will win out over their troop quantity. Preferably somewhere the vehicles can be used to maximum effect also.

In fact, whoever the commander around is ask them where they'd like to reposition to so as to accomplish that. [Kaboom] that area to clear it of brood so we can move into it, then [Make it Rain] to cover the redeployment with relatively little harassment.

Then next turn we should change into abomination mode and support our troops until the current swarm is thinned.

Anyway, time to go MAXIMUM LOUD. If we've got any sonic vehicles around toss them the mixtape that DJ BAD MUSIC threw at us as he left. What do you mean he didn't? Of course he did, it's right here with this 100!

Unfortunately or us the brood have since wised up to your abilities. Your attempts to make it rain to cover your forces was bypassed by the brood who either dodged or had units sacrifice themselves. So they kept on coming.

When we attempted to use KABOOM while killing some of the brood we uncovered yet another major hole from which tons of brood proceeded to pour out of in an seemingly endless stream.

So seeing how that worked you turned into an abomination and charged into brood swarm trying to support your forces. The brood for their part simply ignored the losses and started to swarm you.

You had a brilliant idea blow the brood lord away and follow him to finish him one on one.

So you unleashed a large channeled explosion and sent him flying far away. You soon followed by blasting yourself in his direction.

Of all things you somehow managed to keep the two explosions similar enough that you followed right behind the flying brood lord. Despite airborne brood attempts to catch you they were unable to keep up.

After awhile you both finally crashed. You right behind the brood lord...and proceeded to drop kick him before unleashing yet another EXPLOSION.

Leaving behind a massive crater and a now very dead brood lord.

I am thinking I need to give the bots some love.

I regularly showed off the brood but never really the AI, robotics, and their machines much. I mean I still got anons thinking they use androids for battle.

The only time you see a battle android is a either security model or the dreaded assassin android. Though some would argue cyborgs can be considered in that group but that isn't entirely correct. Its not unknown for cyborgs to get REALLY freaky in their augmentations. Its to the put at times that they the only way you know that it IS in fact a cyborg is due to the brain capsule located within the machinery instead of an AI.

There is also the AI rebellions and Rampant AI. No they are not the same but can be.

Its just something that has been crossing my mind lately. It doesn't help I avoided the nastier machines and AI in the post apoc because of how fucking deadly they are. They afterall do control most of the remaining relatively intact old world infrastructure. Whether or not they are rampant is a good question.

Rolled 97 (1d100)

>>739938
So I preferred to use the Brood over them because by that time the brood are very messed up from their civil war and then getting hit by the Fall.

The AI while they got hit very hard by the all the electronic warfare and chaos during the fall. Those that remain either stayed safe or were not so damaged as to be unable to maintain themselves. So they stuck around and in terrifyingly good condition.

Their tireless and following order natures if they weren't corrupted saw to it that their areas remained in pristine condition by post fall standards. Problem with the corrupted AI and bots is the ones who survived weren't compromised so badly they that they eventually fell apart and thus exist no more.

That means the ones who remain are the Insane AI and corrupted bots that were able to somehow keep their shit together but are still messed up from what the Fall did to them or their creators.

>>739952
Brood corpses are INSANELY rich in biotech that can be reversed engineered. Unsurprisingly the heroic brood units have the most valuable biotech stuffed into them by the brood.

Also unsurprisingly such samples are a nightmare to acquire because why the hell is the brood gonna let someone else steal their biotech? One of THEE biggest reasons for brood civil strife was the fighting over each other's biotech and gene banks.

Its to the point where even low level brood beasts can be a pain to get samples of.

Currently they are mopping up the remaining brood forces after they collapsed and spazzed out once the brood lord dropped. They ask about your situation and surroundings stating that an aircraft will be inbound soon to pick you up.

I find it quite amusing that us opening all those holes in the ground to reveal ALL the brood forces before annihilating the Brood Lord probably made the cleanup much quicker and more efficient. They didn't have time to stall and recover down in their tunnels while a new leader took command because all their tunnels were already exposed.

And of course our tactical genius informed us that if we could crush the leader the troops were quality enough to take advantage of this fact.

Oh, as for the brood ecosystem...we used outsiders and undead and bots in this attack and we won. Very clever of the boss actually. In addition to their inherent lack of morale-strength against the brood, the brood also gets nothing out of fighting them even if they win.

So we showed that we're strong, and that even if they do fight us they won't get anything out of it. Hopefully they'll decide to cut their losses so long as we don't go on an extermination campaign or anything.

You decided to sit down on top of the brood lord's corpse and make your report over the comms.

First you started with how smart you were for ordering that comms upgrade. After that you explained how you knew that if you separated the brood lord from its pawns they would crumble. How you forced the brood lord to reveal all its cards before you closed in and did your thing. How you even pulled off the feint that was appearing to be overwhelmed to make the brood lord lower its guard before the face of victory. How the minions did a great job for despite not knowing your plan fought valiantly to the end.

For the first time you actually had some good feelings for the undead, machines, and outsiders.

Finally you got an excuse of 'how' did you know all of that. That was when the Detonator became silent for a period as he looked up at the starts before explaining.

He used to have a family.

Used to mind you. Before the Brood showed up. You used to go to school and have friends too. The war however changed everything. And while you did lose everything like a lot of others unlike them you went through the trouble to study the brood.

Admittedly the info out there wasn't that great but if you dug around and deep enough you could find some interesting info. That info panned at for you when you dealt with the brood lord.

Its just a shame you nor anyone else knew about it back when the Brood came.

Now though you feel like a fucking boss you revealed your awesome plan but you weren't yet finished.

"The brood for all their strengths...their greatest strength is in fact their greatest weakness. Most think its Unity that is their greatest power. That is wrong."

"Its the contrary that UNITY is their greatest weakness. The Brood is too interconnected...too reliant upon each other. So if you fuck even a single part of their system up...you fuck them ALL UP. I made the guess that this was a splinter brood and hence went after their leadership. So long a you take the biggest leader down they will collapse. We learned this the hard way during the war...."

"We kept on taking down their officers you see. The problem was we couldn't take them ALL down as that would of made an actual difference. Then the last push came...we were on the end our ropes. The Brood were about to finish humanity off."

"Our forces were exhausted...traitors were even seeking refuge among the Combine and other forces for safety against the Brood. So we made one last desperate ploy..."

"To KILL the Leader of the Brood...and it worked. Granted none of those who went on that suicide mission ever returned we saw what it did to them. The brood collapsed and turned on itself."

"Because we didn't kill just ANY officer...we killed the one at the very top. To defeat the brood you must either break a component or destroy something they cannot so easily replace

>>741824
The explosive shockwave just so happened to be accidentally disable the brood countermeasures and booby traps.
>>
>>745048
"So I took out the something that they could not so easily replace. So long as the brood can replace it easily it will hardly effect them. On the other hand if you DO find that something...then you can make them truly feel it."

So you finished your speech as the aircraft landed and you grabbed the corpse before hopping on. You noticed some of the troops aboard noticed your smugness of your accomplishment and an underlying sadness beneath it all.

After that you soon lifted on and you heard a familiar voice crackle out over the comms.

"Well well...I must admit to underestimating you Detonator. From all appearances you didn't seem much of a strategist given your...one trick pony nature. You even had me fooled. So tell me do you have any other great revelations?"

"That I do in fact. Question is can you trust the troops you sent?"

"They are clean. That I can assure you."

"Good. In that case Boss I know for a fact your working with a Brood."

"Oh?"

"You see those troops you sent...they weren't equipped with what they needed to properly scour the infestation out were they? Your not stupid enough to do both separately...so how you were going to do deal with the infestation?"

"Ah you se-"

"I ain't finished yet. For another how DID you manage to acquire that pool that can even affect a tier BLACK abomination? I know your connections aren't that good. If they were we would have a lot more black sites."

"..."

"So combine that with your unusual willingness to live right next door to a brood, you taking part in the Brood war and just 'happening' to survive. With your strange knowledge of brood...that couldn't entirely be explained with being a fighter in that War. Your working with one of them ain't you?"

"...hah and here i was relieved you got sent flying after the fight with the brood lord so you wouldn't see. Your correct I AM working with a brood. Pity you figured it out. Especially with your bad blood with the Brood."

"So then...how did you pull it off?"

"...Its a long story kid. You clearly know more about the brood war tactics right?"

"Yeah there were recording of the fighting and reports available to the public."

"What do you know of brood subterfuge and the infested?"

"...Not much just a lot of rumor and heersay. A sickness that they can't fix and that enslaves you to its will. One they use behind enemy lines to prepare for the great offensive..."

"Anymore then that?"

"No unfortunately there is very little about that sorta thing."

"Well that is where my story begins kid. It begins with the Infested. What people don't know is the brood were already making roads and preparing for their invasion...long before they actually showed up. What came first...was their infested and collectors."

"..."

"I clashed against those infested kid back before we knew what they were. I was lucky in how paranoid I was...those with me not so much. They after and during the war kept a rather tight lid on how the infested worked."
>>
Rolled 23 (1d100)

>>745127
"The only stuff they leaked out was the stuff you knew...that they were sick, enslaved, and there was no cure. They weren't entirely correct. What happened back then...was a former lover of mine a psion got infested. After that it was clear she wasn't 'entirely' gone she tried to infest me many times and kill me a few. I tried to kill her a many and escape a few."

"It all changed when the final showdown was rearing its ugly head...she let me know a final great offense was about to be underway. One so powerful that all of humanity was going to be wiped clean. You know those who turned traitor on humanity to save their own skins?"

"Yeah what of it?"

"Apparently not even they would of been safe. After that I managed to get away and arrived at the place where humanity was preparing for its last stand. What a sight to be hold...all those refugee ships. All those battle worn vessels many of which were repurposed civilian craft. Were all arranging themselves into one last armada...All those broken armies were gathering for that one last great defense. They were entrenching for the last time apparently...they had a very simple goal."

"Yeah everyone heard about that they were to delay for as long as possible for those on the suicide mission..."

"Yeah but the thing is kid they didn't know that."

"...What?"

"Things got rather turned out during that last great battle. What happened kid was they went around asking for anyone who wanted to participate in a suicide mission. Those that volunteered were taken aboard...these marvelous strange ships. Full of unbelievable tech and weaponry..."

"Bullshit the suicide mission was nothing more then a desperate push with what remai-"

"That was a lie. An even bigger lie was the dirty fact that those who were suppose to delay them? That had survivors? There weren't any."

"...No there were some very few its just tha-"

"I was there kid. On that suicide mission. I knew what a lot of the other guys didn't so I wanted to go down with a big bang. One with no turning back."

"Funny thing happened though kid you see there were survivors from OUR end. However due to the toys we were allowed to use...the survivors were given a gag order and made to look like they had actually been the ones left behind to hold off the enemy. Truth this all those guys who ACTUALLY did that were all dead or infested to the last man. That show using all those old worn out ships?"

"Pure bullshit. They cracked open the Black Vaults. The stuff that had to be locked away forever...unspeakable weapons existed in those vaults. And we were given permission to use every last one against the brood. The hope was we would damage them enough to force them to halt their offensive. We did more then just that. For we managed to kill the queen bee herself."

"That was when all hell broke loose that made everything else a cake walk as they all started to go berserk. Truth be told I thought i was a goner as was one of the unlucky bastards left behind
>>
Rolled 75 (1d100)

>>745224
"...It was an amazing sight. One that put the great suicidal show between us and the main host of the unified brood to shame. We had guys staying behind fighting their now berserk forces. We had guys trying to break out. We had the brood itself turning on each other...what a fucking show it was."

"A truly amazing show...so there we were. Fighting among the berserk brood...left behind to die. Most of us did...the rest were infested. I was however especially lucky, because of all things I got RESCUED by a Brood."

"..."

"And that brood is the one I now work with."

"It...is led by your ex isn't it?"

"Exactly. We hatched out our differences while we and some other guys worked together to break out of there."

"Brood and humans working together...the last stand actually being a cover up. That is some insane bullshit your spewing."

"I got proof kid and yeah it is unbelievable. Which always made me wonder if there was something else going on during for that conflict...always seemed a bit 'off' to me."

"Alien bioweapon decided we were on its personal shit list is all. Next thing to be destroyed."

"Yeah...but WHY? Why us first? Why was there no proof of there being others before us? Why were the brass so intent on keeping certain things covered up? That entire war stank and trillions died."

"...Not sure if believe all of that. How do i know you ain't infested?"

"If I was infested I would of been tested positive long ago. If you wanna see proof of that brood ally and one who helped with your abominable transformation control problem there is a brood infestation bordering our base. They are friendlies."

"...but all the fightin-fuck don't tell me that was just a show? People died goddamn it..."

"Yeah and plenty of brood did too. If it makes you feel any better I only got good relations with that one splinter brood. I ain't on much good terms with the other ones."

Unrelated but I think I may have figure out a way to make an anti brood infestation vaccine, first we inject nanobots which would act like super robotic white blood cells, then we inject small amounts of dead or disabled brood so the nanobots can "train" for anti infestation tactics, we would regularly inject stronger brood, or more nanobots as needed until our very blood carries elite nanobots specialized in anti brood tactics. Obviously the brood will adapt around this but it's a sure fire way to prevent the more basic brood infestations, and though I do not approve it would allow us to visit brood lands for diplomatic reasons much more safely.
>>
>>745446
Obviously before we start human trials we would have to refine our nanobots, allow them gladiatorial like battles in petre dishes until we find a working combo

>>745446
Not to be a dick but the Brood have proven their ability to bypass nanobot protection. On the plus side it DOES slow down the infestation but not much else. Another thing that slows down infestation is a strong mind.

Which for some reason the brood take extra pleasure in breaking. Its why they just LOVE infesting psions and heroes.

Another big problem is brood wounds. They all contain infesting agents and what you gotta do to 'fix' an injury is horrifying, but if you don't then you'll end up getting infested. Usually it involved a mixture of temperature extremes, hacking, and some hardcore drugs/nanites until then.

As it turns out infestation relies upon the host so if you screw up the host...you'll can also screw up the infestation. At least enough to buy you some time until you get to some VERY chop happy and burning obsessed docs.

Brood injuries fucking suck so goddamn hard. Even the AI weapon and bandit weapon injuries tend not to be so messed up. Not only do you gotta get the injury treated you also have to take care of the infesting agents that are always included...

What's worse of all though is if the brood manages to take you alive. They drag you kicking and screaming to their special infestation facilities where you'll get the strongest infestation agents pumped into you. Unsurprisingly the infested that come out of said facilities are some of the most powerful and terrifying you'll ever encounter.

Not even being dead can save you from infestation if your fresh enough the infestation will bring you back. Its why infested and brood both can so hard to take down. They can eat lotta punishment before they feel anything. Its also why the brood lord took so long to take down despite not being a combat hero.

It's like regular parkour, if you could change direction in mid-air using explosive jets. Of course in explosive parkour you HAVE to correct in midair on account of the inherent unpredictability of giving your initial jumps massive boosts using EXPLOSIONS.

On the upper levels you have IMPLOSION parkour, which is similar to EXPLOSIVE parkour except it is the favored technique of the famed Implo-Clan Ninjas on account of its inherent stealth and deadliness.

Really though it just means we've got to get used to using little explosions that are highly precise. Good for technique.
>>

It sort of dawned on me, we could probably use our explosions for super jumps blast ourselves on top of buildings and for that matter super speed jumping every time our foot touches the ground we make a small explosion under it and bound from explosion to explosion. Sure it may leave a few potholes but I'll bet it beats walking by a longshot
>>
Rolled 28 (1d100)

>>747533
That's actually what we did to get to the brood lord, except instead of the ground it was the heads of brood creatures.

Instead of one small explosion, we could go with firecracker-like bursts under our feet.

Your abomination form was from a black site. He didn't really have much choice in terms of finding something that could help you with those powers.

Also his lady friend is no normal brood creature. She is an infested and thus formerly human. She also has her free will back. Which is the biggest reason they were able to make up(given how much they tried to kill/infest each other before).

>>747492
Unfortunately the secret of IMPLOSION was shown to you by the Mad Enlightenment Eye.

>>746086
you decide to train in your reflexes and agility so you headed over to the super facility. There you noticed surprising amount of hustle and bustle. You also noticed that most the icons were lit up except for a few under the SUPER Listing. In the super listing there were two icons flashing saying they were in use.

Sadly when you tried to get into the super training the minion there informed you that you were only able to take super training in terms of control and power. The others were apparently off limits to you.

Since you decided you needed to train in reactions and agility you got stuck with the normal training. Which wasn't so normal after all. For instance when you took part in the melee reactions you were swiftly attacked by melee combat bots and forced to attack only when a opening occurred that was very brief.

The ranged version wasn't much better instead of bots you got turrets and you had to shoot at the openings and flashes of opportunities that would very briefly occur.

Overall you did well but not amazingly so.

When you tested agility you were given a training field with obstacles that you had to move around in. Including stuff that tested your hands and reflexes.

Most surprising was when you found out they did indeed have a parkour training field that you took part in. You gotta admit the training facilities here are top fucking notch.

And this was just for the ordinary minions!

>>

Technically yes. It was a mutagen pool that was upgraded by the brood. Mutants commonly collect mutagens and 'cook' em up into things like pools which they use. There are different kinds but fertility pools are the most common(hence why Lairs upgrade pop).

If your a mutant they are very useful if your not they can easily turn you into one. Hence why they have a bit of a bad rep.

...why does this quest feel like its turning into a slice of life quest for super villains?

Oh hell not this again. I know anons must of found it hilarious to see how many genre jumps we could make before but that was hell on the Genie.

Its partly why I had to butcher that quest up into different parts with Petyr and Abigail.

...come to think of it that was the last quest before the Age of the Scary Waifus began. Oh...maybe this wont be so bad after all.

Your all still a bunch of bastards though. How the hell did i end up with all the scary waifu fags...never seen in that in another quest.

Did I end up trading the yuri fags for scary waifu fags or something?

I don't ever recall making that trade though...

Anyway you decide to go on a relaxing swim at the mutant pool but not before grabbing a six pack of beer. How the store remains stocked you'll never know. At least you don't ever have to pay anything...come to think of it you never thought to check your own bank account to see how much you were getting paid.

Then again its not like you ever needed to actually buy anything here so...well suppose you'll check on that next time you go to the city.

So you ended up buying a lot more booze and decided to host a mutant pool party. Oddly enough you were the only one brave enough to swim in the abominable pool. Which truth betold felt fucking AMAZING.

Inside of it you could shift much more easily and felt a strong tingling sensation all over. It felt even better then a hot bath, sauna, and Jacuzzi combined. Not to mention you should of SEEN some of these mutant babes.

Holy shit tier were some of them insanely fucking hot. All those who claimed mutants were bunch of ugly fucks is a goddamn liar. Best of all they fucking ADORED you! They were all into you so hard...oh you could get used to this.

All the super sexy(mutant) babes you could want baby...and some of the THINGS they could do! You thought only sex bots had some of those...applications. But with some of these chicks its all natural baby~

Maybe being an abomination ain't so bad after all...so you ended up throwing a rad mutant pool party.

Train in the abominable pool it is. There will always be more babes but you never know when your going to need more skill to save your ass. So you decided to chill out and train in the abominable pool. As promised it DID make a HUGE difference in controlling your transformation! You find you can easily change your appearances but what is tricky is staying in that form. Even your abomination form shifts and warps while inside the pool.

As if...it was changing. Or maybe that was just you getting a better grip on your powers.

In any case that pool helped a lot. Alas by the time you finished the party was already over.

Shit, we even went through their training.

Maybe we can get our minion friends some unique gear, mega grenade launchers of various elements (remember our suit absorbs diffrent powers and produces grenades, so say we fight a shark ado we could get our guys to "pump us up with electricity" or know whatever the need for the situation or like the ever sought after invisibility mutation, I'll bet they would love to play with a small piece of the brood lord too.

I almost want to set up a semi legit mutant run business like a casino or something, we make money and we have better chances of recruiting down on their luck minions, or a grocery store that only supply's mutant, ghoul, bot (and secretly brood) foodstuffs, we would recieve a nightly shipment of goods to sell and we could hide more illegal gear in those loads.

I think we could fund a casino now if we wanted, constant 20% revinue, and we can launder money that way.

Fuck I'm even down to set up a good old fashion ponzie scheme with us and the boss at the top hiring and FORCING employees to sell average overstoked materials like products from the mine and foundry we own. Kirby vacuume style.?

You decide to explore the base to see what has changed and hopefully to find something interesting.

The base besides having a barracks, store, armory, command center, Hax Comms, upgraded hospital, garage and training facility.

now also has the following a library, graveyard, summoning formation, factory, mutant warrens, and laboratory. You also saw some facilities that were being constructed or upgraded. For instance the formation and labs were being upgraded. While a few new facilities were under construction.

Unfortunately you didn't see much interesting stuff except for a rather beat up bird descending and some minions but also an unusual character emerge from it. If you had to guess that unusual character is another Super.

Been a long time since i had side conversation like this. i missed it.

A mutant's greatest strengths is their natural toughness and unpredictability but adaptable nature due to their mutations. No matter how you look at it mutants are not an easy bunch to deal with.

>>753815
The first character was the First Necromancer of Humanity. A real piece of work that one.

As for the world it was the world of Octithos. It was a rather divided world even up into the sci fi era and had several major powers sharing it as their homeworld. It was not however the world you played around in both the post apoc and fantasy games. You could of however had gone there if you played your cards right.

Genieverse itself actually took years to come into being as the Genie thought 'why can't they all be connected? Why can't I have a world go from fantasy to soft sci fi?' Among other thoughts that resulted in Genieverse forming. Those two the biggest reasons though I will admit.

You decide to go meet the super who has arrived or...returned? Given the shape of the gunships you would hazard a guess that they just got back from a job. That and the wounded minions who were getting dragged off to the hospital.

As you approached the other super you could hear the other speak up with a clearly feminine voice.

"Detonator...I heard you weren't actually dead after all. Apparently that is true."

"I guess your the smiling slasher?"

"The one and only."

"You wouldn't happen to be part of the Slashers now would you?"

"...What do you think?"

"Oh fuck me you really are a Clanner Chick?"

"Your a tad bit slow."

"I thought they were all psychotic killers?"

"We get that a lot and its true."

"...No shit? So wait...why are you a villain then?"

"We aren't ALL that far gone hence we are known as a Kill Clan, not a Crazy Clan. We just really like...slashing."

"yeah that doesn't explain why you joined up."

"Same reason you did."

"...Because you saw how much the boss kicked ass and it was early on with the organization still being young?"

"...Okay so maybe not the same reasons...you sure your talking about the same weakling boss pervert?"

"Pervert? Weakling? Who the fuck are you talking about?"

"...You know the guy who orders all the minions around and likes sun bathing in that atrocious mask and speedos? Gotta give him credit though at least he is an honest pervert who doesn't rely on invisibility."

"Well yeah of course in suns bathes in that speedo in open sigh-oh I get it now. He never seemed that perverted though...or weak how the hell do you see him as weak?"

"You never saw him in a fight? He is even weaker in the minions."

"I DID see him in a fight. Against an entire TEAM of super heroes with nothing but some minions and balls he won."

>>754418
There were multiple civilizations and like the majority of life itself. Are extinct.

You can still find their remains however.

>>754602
The time of myths is arguably the time when dead gods reigned or before the age of the fallen. In terms of humanity anyway.

Yeah you can play around in there but your going to be pretty fucking blind and the references of those ages in later times are quite few.

Both of those ages are somewhat interesting. Especially the Age of the Fallen is when the mythic figures were still alive or well recorded still. You have things like the First Necromancer who were still remembered or even still alive.

The Reign of Dead Gods is also a very interesting period of time as that is the time before things are getting wiped away and the start of a new era. Back then you still had records of the old myths but now things were changing as new legends arose.

Its interesting to note that the fantasy quests I ran before have been based in the Reign of the Dead Gods time period.

The Genieverse bluntly speaking has a fuck off huge time line. Humanity is aware of but a tiny fraction of it and they in turn were only a part of a fraction of that fraction.
>>
Rolled 46 (1d100)

>>754903
"Wait...I thought that was a rumor? AND your saying the weakling boss was actually the one behind it?"

"I am beginning to wonder why you really joined up if you saw the boss in such a poor light."

"Back then I didn't know the boss."

"Yet you signed up anyway?"

"Mysterious leaders are the norm for our kind of organizations...then you have guys like the Boss."

"You really need to see him in action some time. It was amazing to see an entire team of heroes handed their asses on a silver platter with nothing but some minions and directions."

"...I find that way too hard to believe still much less it was actually him behind it."

"You really should ask him some time. So wait...while I been gone he hasn't gone out on any jobs?"

"Nope claimed he was laying low...and that was what he had us for."

"Hm...knowing him I bet he has some kind of plan."

"You clearly have WAY too much faith in the boss."

"Hey long i been around here for?"

"...You were gone the vast majority of that time. Unlike Lord Maple."

"...Lord Maple?"

"Yeah really likes maple trees...also syrup. So we call him Lord Maple."

"What a terrible super villain nickname."

Slasher after you are recovered would you be willing to train with me. It would do me some good to spar with another super.

>>755260
I don't believe that would be reflex. It would be more brain puzzles. We would have to calculate the range and power behind our explosion for the target. Once we have that down it would then move to finding the targets.

>>755290
With what we gained we can solo really well. Teamwork would be a problem for our explosion skills. Unless we can gear people to take the hits.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d100)

>>755335
But that's precisely why we need to train to work with a team; so we don't get in each other's way. We can precisely control our explosions, avoiding friendly fire is simply a matter of practice.

The fly thing may not be reflex, but I think reflex is what we would need to use our power to block attacks, like reactive armor but requires active effort on our part. Could also help with learning to fly, which for us may never be a useful option for combat, but could be good for travel, in particular extremely convenient for short distances.

>>755300
I'm sure we could be good support, but I don't think we're using the same definition of "combo." I thought it would be used to refer to simultaneous and complementary uses of Abilities.

Out of your specific example, the smoke screen could work. It might technically be theoretically possible to boost her throwing knives, but it would take a fucking ridiculous amount of precision to do anything other than throw off their trajectories; it would take practice to even be able to touch with them with explosions mid-flight. Your last example isn't a combo move so much as just us taking out the scrubs while she takes on a powerful motherfucker.
>>
Rolled 44 (1d100)

>>755449
Why work as a team? We are a super villain. Soon to have our own base. We can open any fight on our own and let the minions spec op into the target or get mutants to adapt to us. Don't get me wrong I like more supers helping us. It's just I think it will be more likely we need to be able to solo better first.

Our abomination form will take care of blocking if we train more on it. Yet it that's what is wanted we should say we are training that. It would do better to say it than assume it.

As for flying, that comes back to control and then speed of action. We get the math/motion down and then we work on making it faster.
>>
Rolled 53 (1d100)

>>755530
Can't argue with that, we do need to be good at fighting solo.

>>755335
Is this more of a conversation thing?
Ah well, I say we ask her about the training. If she wants to go right now we do so, otherwise we train control and see what Super reflex training is like.

After the training, including a session with Slasher if she's game, we go recruiting.

Okay, actually I have no idea how to interpret the last part of Genie's last post. I think maybe it's Slasher saying she'll be ready to train with us in a little while, but if we aren't there then, she's doing her training without us?
But surely that would not provoke such a response as >>755996, so I must be badly mistaken.

Just in case though
>>755935
I change my vote to
>Train with the Slasher

We'll just read the news if we need to wait for her to get changed or whatever.

Yeah it was to ask first before assuming she would go along with it.

I would agree, but since it will >>755935 have to be quick. I'll back your switch >>756285

As for the >>755935 post. I believe she has agreed and it will not take her long to recover from what she was doing before we asked. So if we need to do something really quick we can. Otherwise If we keep her waiting to long we can forget about it.

>>755996
Man that torture repayment for her kindness for a month really messed us up. There will be no other lady or she will find us.

The trick to teamwork for you is shaped explosions that avoid your own forces and figuring out how to 'ping' your allies making it easier to avoid them. Problem is your control stat is shit and your gonna have to figure out how to pull it all off to boot.

>>755997
No.

Its not the same world.

Sky elevators are pricey but common piece of infrastructure as they really cut down on fuel costs for moving product on and off world.

>>756157
Dune don't got shit on the stuff the Masterminds cook up.

Don't even get me started on the inhuman plotters.

Plotting in the Genieverse can get ridiculously insane.

>>756378
Pretty much.

Thinking she was the one behind it.

I think she could of had some influence over it.

Psshaw, you're good and all Genie but Frank Herbert was nobody to sniff at. The thing you've got going for your plots is that you've got more than 2 plotting agents with incredibly long lifespans. Also you throw in a lot more influences than he ever did.

I'll vote for training. Either in our abomination form for martial prowess if we're with the Slasher or controlling our powers if we're on our own. Hell, both at once might be very interesting.

I read his books anon. I will admit he knew how to plot but his greatest weakness as well as strength was the limited characters.

While it made it easier for people to keep track it also detracted from the plot potential.

I am merciless to myself in regards to dealing with the plots. Yes its complicated as hell but i organized them into groups who share common goals and those groups compete against each other. Often those within the same group ALSO compete within the group AND should one group actually wins you know what happens?

The group collapses because they no longer have a reason to stay unified and good old fashion self interest prevails. They collapse and compete. Allowing new groups to form and the cycle to repeat itself.

Now if that wasn't complicated enough...I am just getting started.

Lets assume that these groups are not in fact human and may have different goals. Problem is these goals can sometimes overlap or rub against each other unexpectedly. This allows for both strange alliances and peculiar enemies.

Now for even more fun lets throw in the differences of time and ways of thought.

Think we are just about there?

Nope.

You see now we throw all of that in the mix right? SO what are the other groups going to do about each other?

What are their plans?

Okay so we got some of their plans down.

Now what of their plans are safe and what are compromised?

What about the unseen enemies or sheer random chance?

Who are in the groups? What are they like?

So many things to keep track of and so many ways to go oh so wrong!

Its glorious as it is frustratingly awesome.

And yes the Genie does keep track of this shit. Its a gigantic pain in the ass but i do. Its why you end up with such awesome villains like Jenny and Doctor Volk. With corporate politicks and so much more.

How do you think all this shit gets cooked up?

When anons go for that politicking game its going to be oh so very interesting!
>>
>>757221
Believe it or not the Genie actually DOES keep track of all that shit!

In fact you don't even wanna know how far back it goes timeline wise...

but its truly amazing just how old some of those plots fucking are.

Fucking hell I have bastards plotting for many millennia long plans in the work.

Best part is they ain't the only ones and sometimes they go up against each other.

Fucking webs man...and some of them can be so fucking ancient its insane. Thank you immortal fucks you goddamn assholes with absurdly long plots. Seriously I love but hate you all SO much.

Jenny was a mere glance and actually a small player in the greater scheme of things.

Yeah that's right Jenny is nothing but a small time player.

I will admit those ancient immortal fucks are some of the worse to deal with because of how grand their schemes tend to become. Fucking hell its a gigantic pain to keep track. Throw in some other ancient fucks who aren't on good terms with each other and...yeah. Dealing with the smaller plots from those like Jenny is a welcome vacation in comparison.

Bloody goddamn ancient immortals who don't know how to fucking die already...

but man do things get interesting with the groups inevitably clash or run into groups they weren't expecting. Throw in someone throw a wrench into the plans of a far older and ancient plan...or some good old fashion random chances to fuck things up.

Remember anons in the Genieverse there is always a web of plots being woven and a string in each of those webs is in itself yet another web. The puppetmasters are playing other puppetmasters who in turn think they are not a puppet but a player...but its all players playing players. Sometimes you know your getting played sometimes you don't.

What matters is that you know you ain't the only one and you ain't the best. Truth is the webs are so deep obscured nobody knows who IS the best anymore nor how many players there are exactly. Most players wanna keep it that way because it both obscures their own plans and makes it harder to trace back to them.

As much as they may hate it being used against them. Its all part of the game the players all play.

Now who will win and lose? That depends on how good you are and what your goals are.

My hopes for the first political game is we try of something small and it explodes into something way bigger. Something like find out who passed that law which closed of favorite food place and then two systems get taken out because of that.
>>
Rolled 65 (1d100)

>>757364
You'll be surprised how often that happens.

Pulling a single string even if it seems unimportant can have devastating consequences as it all unravels.

Don't worry though I wont make it large to begin with. It takes the Genie time to warm up properly.

Rolled 7 (1d100)

I guess we are still waiting on everyone's votes to cohere to something.

I'm still backing the spar with slasher.

I'm pretty sure consensus is to train, either with the Slasher or on Control. We're just waiting on Genie.

Training:
>>755260 (says reflex, but really the training they're expressing a desire for is control)
>>755290
>>755300
>>755335
>>755771
>>756285
>>756378
>>756566

Genie's probably taking some medical leave time.
>>
Rolled 7 (1d100)

>>760664
I really think it's a shame no one is critfishing seeing as we're in a 3rd 1 scenario though.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d100)

>>760664
Yeah it is training, but which training is what we have to agree on.

We ask slasher if she would work with us. She agreed to spar in a bit. If we don't show tho she will probably not agree again.
