/qst/ - Quests

Last time on PMDQ we bought some supplies in town, learned a new skill, saw a vision of a dead human, went to a strange abandoned mansion where we got greedy in a secret treasure room, which benefited us in the long run when we bit the shit out of the ghost who was going to try and teach us a lesson, and got her as a team member. With our daily quest done, we return to the guild for some rest before I next adventure.

>Session 1 Start

You wake up… where are you? This isn’t like the other places you’ve been before, but it looks… familiar? You are in some kind of large open area, wore and tore paved road ways all around you. There are markings on it, but they are illegible due to times effect on them. In the distance you make out a tall building, tower you correct yourself, one direction, and another set of large wide buildings the opposite. Have you been here before?

Lifting yourself off the ground, you notice you are several times taller than you used to be. Looking at your hands. Wait, you had hands? Your fur is missing and you are naked. You were human. For some reason, despite being naked all the time in your other form you feel discomforted by your nudity now... You begin to make your way to the wide set of buildings hoping to find something to cover your shame.

As you approach you notice the 3 buildings each have large doors with handles at the bottom. It looks large and heavy, but you might be able to open one of them if they aren't locked. You could always try to find another entrance as well.

You walk to the next door and open it to find... Some kind of metal bird thing? It has wings that's for sure, but it also has some kind of windmill on its front, and glass behind it and what looks like seats. It seems small compared to the building it rests in, but could probably fit 3, maybe even 4 of you inside it. There are two doors on each side. You feel as though you've seen this device before...

Other than what you assume is a vehicle and a much smaller door that you assume is some kind of exit on the back the room seems almost as bare as yourself.

You enter the machine's left entrance. Sitting inside you see several gauges, meters, switches, etc.. At your feet are two peddles and in front of you is some kind of handle that seems to be the control. There also is a key hanging from one of the knobs, it looks like it may fit in a hole that has labels at its ends that say L R Both

Checking the compartments you find nothing more than some paperwork that seems useless to you at a glance. As well as some kind of log booklet. In the back you find some kind of cup with a tiny rod sticking out as well as a rag and a tube with lines going up it each few labeled with a number.

Sifting through the paper work it seems mainly some kind of certifications and such. As well as what seems to be directions that show the outside of the plane from a top down perspective. A line leading around the plane with numbers along various points, but nothing else. Other than that is a short hastily written list stating:

1. Rich mixture
2. Carb. heat
3. Prime 2 times
4. Throttle 1/8
5. Prop clear
6. Ignition start
7. Oil pressure

After returning the papers that you deemed unimportant you take the key and are left with the instructions, the list, and the key.

"Go? Go where?"

"We need to get back to the mansion to get some more treasure for the guild before Faye wakes up. Now hurry!" She whispers hastily. Attempting to drag you along.

"We already handled her once we can do it again."

"But we promised, and I don't think guild members attacking each other is good for it or looting places that belong to people."

She sighs a bit "I guess... We shouldn't hurt the guild's reputation..."

"AND the promise."

"Yeah we shouldn't break our word either..."

Why do you sound like a father trying to discipline their child? She seems really disheartened.

Despite your best efforts, you still can't find the ghost girl. After roughly half an hour you still can not find Faye, you decide to sit down and rest grumbling in frustration. Closing your eyes, you try to possibly get a small pinch of sleep...

Its a shame there are lights that are distracting you. How can you see some weird kind of fires while your eyes are closed? They are moving, and pulsating although faint in the distance... But you feel as though you can see them clearly for some reason.

Stepping back you completely blow out the wall separating you and the two flames of energy screaming at the top of your lungs all the while. Opening your eyes you see two surprised ghosts in front of you. And by surprised, you mean they are screaming too.

Maybe screaming at the top of your lungs isn't the best idea, but at least you found Faye like you were hoping. You even spooked the spooks while you were at it. When the screaming finally dies down you and the ghost girls just stare at you, and you them, an awkward silence settles.

Dashing at the ghost you slam into her, shoving a stun seed into her mouth. Rendering her completely petrified. She lands on the ground completely unable to move.

Victory? Woo?

Standing up you look over to Faye, who still looks shocked at the level of Mismagius. Maybe you should have asked for her help... Although it was your fight to begin with. Anyway you found who you were looking for and even got semi-revenge on your semi-molester.

You relocate your shoulder before taking out a Oran Berry and stuffing down your gullet. Instantly feeling its better as its healing takes effect. You wink and blow a kiss towards the downed gho/ss/t, which is rewarded with a violently shake, but nothing more, before grabbing Faye's hand and hurrying her out of the danger zone. You have survived that encounter and that is a victory within itself.

Once you sense you are a safe distance from the flaring purple aura, you turn to Faye who still seems shell shocked.

"So anyway..." you begin to explain, pulling out the golden thorn "We were wondering if you knew anything about this thing I got from one of the chests at the mansion."

>Start Session 2

Faye still remains staring at you, utterly shocked at what had just taken place. You patiently wait for her response, but the minutes tick on by and you think you might have broken her. Probably surprised that you lived, you honestly are a bit surprised by that too. You HAD just faced possible high ranking member of the guild if her title of ‘Keeper of the Fires’ was any indication, and not only lived, but petrified the gho/ss/t and taunted her while she was down.

…You may have to sleep with one eye open for a while…

Regardless, Faye still seems out of it. Maybe you should do something to snap her out of it…

Despite having no reason what so ever, you for some reason decide it would be a terrific idea to punch the ceiling. You jump up, and apply your tightly clenched upper appendage to the top of the indoor portion of the structure, and are immediately rewarded with a cracking sound as you make contact. You real in pain as you may have just broke your wrist. Gravity, finally taking hold of the situation, decides to land you directly on top of Faye, leaving you both on the ground, you sprawled on top of her. If she wasn’t broken before, she was broken now as her entire face goes red. You didn’t even know ice, much less ghost, types had the blood or even body heat to blush that much. Panic sets in when it finally registers what position you are in, and you begin to flail. This doesn’t even work as well as one would expect. You somehow end up tangling up with Faye until the point you somehow end up underneath her. Your face having a similar heat at how close the two of you are. This is way farther into your personal space than you are comfortable with. Is Faye’s face getting closer to your face than it was just a second ago? What is she doing?

In your panic your desperate flail fails miserably and you are stuck firmly underneath Faye, you feel her chilly breath blow against your mouth. She rests there for only a moment before she lightly and awkwardly pecks her lips against yours, her head tilted in a way to make sure your muzzle doesn’t get to much in the way. You both remain there for a few seconds, her cool lips sapping the heat out of yours, but with how fast your mind is running it feels more like an hour. She suddenly realizing what she is doing before quickly floating upright and putting a respectable distance between the two of you.

“I- uh.” She won’t even look at you, just looks down at the floor and slowly makes her way towards the wall behind her.

Your punch the spaghetti, but your fist is ineffective against the substance. You end up trying to dig your way out of it, but the fact you were constantly spewing it made it impossible. Flailing was all you had left, as you desperately attempt to try and escape your delicious death. Fairly quickly you begin to fade out of consciousness from lack of oxygen until the cold embrace of death takes you.

...

...

Before jolting right back into consciousness once more.

You find yourself in what you think is the same hallway. Just with 100% less pasta, and 0% more Faye. What just happened?
"Pfffft HAhaha." You quickly turn to see another familiar face faze through the wall. laughing all the while. "You should have seen the look on your face! Priceless!"

"Wuh?" You respond as eloquently as a poet in his prime. To be fair you had just 'died'

"Let me give you a piece of advice newbie. Don't mess with some much stronger than you, much less someone who can put you in a dream that she controls." She looks to smug, you really want to bite her face off but you'd rather not have... whatever that was happen again.

"N-no"

She floats uncomfortably far into your space bubble. "Are you sure~? I think your lying~ I won't tell you if it was a real kiss or not unless you ask politely~"

She really wants to milk your embarrassment, and you are ashamed to say its working. Your face is burning, the only fortunate part is that your fur at least blocks the blush from sight.

"Well Bella, can you please tell me if Faye kissed me or not?"

"Well, it is not my place to tell now is it." Her grin threatens to split her head. "If you really must know just ask Faye herself." She begins to cackle once more before fazing into a nearby wall. Her laughter echoes through the hall, but soon disappears as well.

Cunt.

Regaining your composure from the previous... unforeseen events... you close your eyes and seek out the energy you felt earlier. It is hard to describe, but you 'feel' the outline of the guilds maze like halls. You really need to improve this when you and Alice get into power, this might as well be a mystery dungeon. Its a death trap for any potential new members.

You also see the similar orange energy hanging out near a large open room with several other energies in the same room, probably the commons. What you assume is Faye's energy is heading in that direction of it as well, not at all deterred by walls. What can only be Bella somehow is already at the edges of your senses, downward?

You should probably try and head off Faye to see if that kiss actually happened, she might not be comfortable talking about it in front of others. Or you could just go directly to the commons and ask later.

"AMBUSH!" As you lift off using Quick Attack from your crouched position you scream your battle cry. Faye turns surprised only for her to be quickly tackled to the ground, where you begin to nibble on her like some kind of chew toy.

"L-luka!" She lets out a strained cry. "T-this is not how you treat a lady!" she is holding something you don't quite recognize in her voice, but you have your prize. Now for what you actually wanted to ask. You maintain your position on top of Faye you ask.

"So Faye, did you actually kiss me or was that just a part of Bella's illusion?"

Faye, whose face was already red and strained and her breath constantly hitching as she looked like she was beginning to hyperventilate, somehow grew redder and just turned away.

Faye already has shown you the entrance to the dungeon, which is a secret passage activated by one of the books, but you still haven’t really been able to look through the books themselves as of yet… Maybe you could find something your team or the guild could use. Maybe even Xatu from the library could get some use from some of them. Faye doesn't seem like she would be averse to you taking a book or two. Well she doesn't seem averse to anything as of now. Focusing, you are able to reveal the floor layout. You notice several aura's inside the walls. Unfortunately your aura sense can't see the stairs nor can it see any items. You open your eyes and notice that if you are not completely focusing while in the dungeon you lose the position of the Pokemon on the floors aura.

Knowing south is a dead end you enter the east path, and you end up coming across a split to the one south, one east.

You head east and down a winding path, thanks to your aura you are able to completely skip the dead ends. You soon get closer to the room you are aware that houses three enemies most likely ready to beat the shit out of anything that enters that door.

I assume punch door won the vote, but I'm not sure if I should count the initial part since he wanted to punch wall. For now just

You pull your fist back and force it forward, knocking it off its hinges and sending it flying at one of the Pokemon waiting to ambush you, smashing it against the wall. It isn't down for the count, but it seems to be struggling. The other two seem to not realize you are aware of them and wait for you to enter to reveal themselves.

Before anyone in the room can react you quick attack towards the door, slamming the pokemon behind it once more. It groans in pain, as you turn to face the other two. Two Zubats that have finally taken notice of you. Alice and Faye are both still in the hallway and will not be able to attack until the next turn.

Combat is first roll only besides first strikes, no enemy interference, or surprise attacks, etc. If you want to support it I can give you the low roll door throw instead, but I assume you guys would want the high roll instead.

>>739043
The bat attaches itself to your back, slowly draining your life. With the level difference though it is little more than a mosquito but if you don't get it off it might quickly worsen. While the bat on your back sucks your life out the other screeches Super Sonic, hitting directly and confusing you.

Alice and Faye enter the room ready to fight.

You start to do the age old strategy of flailing around. Despite its history this time it works almost flawlessly, but you end up ramming into Alice while confused knocking her Psybeam off course. Faye picks up the slack with a Powder Snow directly at the flying menace knocking out the low level annoyance out instantly.

The bat you shook off is now harassing Alice instead, and the pokemon you rammed into the wall seems to be beginning to recover, although it is still hidden underneath the door.

Faye attempts to get the bat off Zubat with a quick Astonish, but Alice's struggling causes her to miss and hit Alice instead stunning her for the round. Luka against all odds completely misses the door he was aiming at while confused, and ends up shooting it straight at Alice, knocking not only her, but the Zubat on her back into the air, slamming into Faye landing all three into a large heap.

The Pokemon underneath the door has finally revealed itself as a Ghastly, and makes it way towards your confused form tongue out.

Faye rushes the Ghastly with another Astonish, it barely nicks the gas ghost but is enough to cause a flinch. You toss Alice towards the Ghastly, but aim wide and she ends up behind it. Fortunately she uses this as an opportunity to blast it in the back with a Psybeam finishing it off.

You are left alone in the small room as the victors, with not much more than minor scrapes as the cost. You decide to take a minor rest here before moving on.

>Session End

Sorry it was a short one today, some shit came up that I don't really want to blogpost about. I'll try and continue the dungeon Tuesday or Thursday.
