The Gnomes are a proud people, inventing many of the technologies used by the empires of today. The Tinker's guild of the dwarven mountains wanted to get rid of some misfits in their ranks and sent them to start a branch in Roggar. Due to the tendency of Roggar to explode into civil war, they are considered expendable by the guild and are not expected to return.

Story Summary:
In ages past men lived simpler lives - they would hunt, farm, fight and always respect the might of the Old Gods. Shamans led the clans with their elemental magic - so it was for many generations, before history was ever written down. The great hero Rog united a dozen human clans into a tribe that would form the foundation of our future Kingdom. One day Rog mysteriously vanished - then came the Great Storm - when it passed, the shamans could no longer feel the presence of the Gods and had lost the source of their magic.
Our civilization would have to progress on its own and so for generations we worked the lands, expanded in numbers and territory. We adopted goblin miners, fought dragons and welcomed a demonic warband. Adventures were had, technology progressed as we explored more and more of the world, largely adopting the faith of the New Gods of the Pantheon.
The Second Horde War was a terrible conflict, mirrored by a civil war within our Kingdom - in its process the mighty Kingdom of Paitras fell and our own Kingdom was greatly damaged, with the city of Nayte and its surroundings being anhilated, ending the lives of all our denizen demons.
After the Second Horde War the Norsemen were united into an Empire and we've been fighting them ever since. We've had both victories and losses, with the Ice Dragons being a mighty asset to the norsemen.
At the end of the 3rd century Paitras was reborn under the ruler of Ezgielath, Verigal.
In the early 4th century the Barbarian Crusades were fought between us civilized nations and the vile heathen barbarians in both southern and northern lands - it ended with the expansion of Roggar to the southwest, but the loss of Paitran lands in the northeast. In the Threemine region a massive earthquake devastated the area and led to the awakening of mighty earthen beings led by an ancient one that calls himself a Titan, whom the lesser ones reffer to as "Father-Mountain". We've also learned of shadowy cabals in the lizard lands that worship eldricht horrors hailing from "The Vast". After the peace treaty with the Norse ended, the Alliance of Pantheonic nations declared a crusade, which ended in the successful dismantlement of the North into two smaller Kingdoms. After the successful war against the Norse, we went on a Dragon Hunt against the Ice Dragons - we eradicated all living ones, but took some unhatched eggs with us. Alas, of the ten dragonlings, ony one survived - not only that, but it also escaped into the wild.
A devastating plague hit Roggar in the year 400, after which there were many racial tensions between humans and goblins which culminated in a civil war, in which Paitras and Zhongian interfered - after much bloody fighting, a peace treaty was signed, in which Roggar has agreed to become part of the Holy Pantheonic Empire, whose current Emperor is the Paitran King Verigal IV.For now, it is a decentralized political union.
The food crisis in Roggar has been solved, but we are now in debt.

Faction: Stormbeast House
The Stormbeast house are a cadet brach of the Dragonfist Dynasty (originally the Mutt Clan), they used to be a band of goblins and humans raised on the the streets of Dragon's Tomb that turned into farmers thanks to Mutt Dragonfist. The Mutt, an urchin turned soldier managed to kill a dragon with one punch allowing his clan and his dynasty to be respected among the Roggarians. The Stormbeast Family isn't the richest nor the most powerful but they still are respected after all this years due the continuous effort of many members of the family: They produce tons of food due thanks to their priestly hunters, farmers and tamers; Muttville, the Fortress island is still an essential river port of Roggar and all the temples that exist around in their feudal lands make their land a place that all adherents to the pantheon need to visit at least once in their lifetime. The last Dragonking of the Family was one of the last pure blooded heirs to Mutt the first and with his death the cadet branch the Stormbeasts took over the feudal lands.

Roggar's only territorial gains was a small expansion for Landbreig north - the Kingdom of Angland annexed Norsland and now the Norse are united in one Kingdom. Primarily they worship their old ways, the elements and ancestors, but about between a fifth and a quarter of the norse are now Pantheonic - foreign priests are not allowed to enter still, but local Pantheonites may build temples of their own.

>Council Project - Dragon Commander
For now as Dragon Commander I will focus on rebuilding the army and our defences. We need to return the army to the size we had before, and maybe go even further. The new manpower we gain will also be used to help rebuild destroyed fortifications from the last war. This will be a period of recuperation.

>Faction Project - Gunnarson Clan
Embla Gunnarson has now been in the proper north for almost 30 years. She has spent that time trying to gather the frost giants under Roggar. If there are already any established leaders of the frost giants she would try and marry one of them. With her she has a transmutation mage provided by the Whitevaynes along with some fullblood frost giants. We hope that now with the knowledge gained thanks to the exploration of the northern passage that Embla will finally complete her goal.

The Plague and the subsequent Zhongian-Paitran war for Roggar affected the lives of many, among whom were the Lectre family. A set of nobles from Dragonstomb with a slightly sketchy background and somewhat... peculiar tastes, their businesses fell apart piece by piece as the Zhongian army occupied the city. Eventually, they paid to be smuggled from the city and fled, walking for miles before stumbling on the charred ruins of Riverhugger. Settling down for the night, they realised this was to be their new home. Not knowing the old name of the village, they gave it their own: Starling.

As it relates to revenue in the Royal Treasury, we have a 10% tax - everyone is someone's vassal up to the King and everyone pays their suzerain 10% of what they produce, in goods, services or coin.
There's also some tariffs on foreign imports and certain products(alcohol, swampweed and such)
Give some proposals for legal stuff of your own
Aside from that, vote on the following proposal -

Change the names of titles to make them by the Paitran model:
If you have no vassals and no suzerain other than the King, you are a lord.
If you have a vassal, you are a duke.
If you are a vassal, you are a count.

This may encourage the development of better feudal relations.

We've settled more people in our southern regions, which are more sparsely populated.
Vaesgyolis has started producing salt from seawater and has attracted some settlers of its own.

After the last series of earthquakes hit Centerhold particulary harshly, a large chasm was opened in the ground - priests of Kovag have determined that inside that chasm there are silver deposits! Exploiting it may be a bit risky as it is, though, given that it is essentially one big hole in the ground.
Two other mines have been opened - northwest of Lakton coal deposits were discovered, while on the edge of our lands a mercury mine has been founded on a spot containing a large amount of that metal, used in medicines, cosmetics and a wide variety of magical practices. Good finds for Roggar!

We celebrate 4 centuries since we slew our first dragon, Syuuku, of Water. We were but a humble tribe living in a nameless village where a river meets the sea. We've come far since then. The festival, held on the first week after summer solstice, includes fighting tournament, merryment for the whole family and a reenactment of the first dragonslaying.

We've advanced agricultural science, developing standartised, heavier iron ploughs and adopting a three-field crop rotation cycle from the halflings. We've also found that a sort of swampweed called hemp can be used for a variety of things, such as ropes and textiles!

We have noticed that war is changing and often beasts such as dragons or other large beings can completely change the outcome of wars and battles. So we have decided to make a division of Heavy Rangers that will primarily use magical ranged weapons and seige weapons with the ammo enchanted and filled to the brim with mana to create a hailstorm of power to destroy what plagues us. This way we will have a more level playing field against those who use those Large magical monsters against Roggar.

Important announcement: From now on all projects will be available once every two decades, rather than every decade. If you have done a project for 420, your next one will be available in 440.
I might change that later, but for now it's how I'll do it.
>>760279
You've expanded the fishing village into a town and put up a wall around it - Gregaridock is its new name.
>>760283
One of your weed fields caught aflame! Someone took the phrase "420 - a year to blaze it" too literally!
>>760286
You've used everything to support the construction of a guild hall in Virinum and all round bettering the city. You built a library for the study of wind magic.

>>760304
You've laid the basis of your idea, but it hasn't yielded much results in terms of people who are signing on to work.
>>760313
No success on helping the economy yet again.
You've heard rumors of southern lands having mighty flying beasts, but in the known lands, other than dragons, one would just find birds or instects flying above the ground.

>>760333
Your help to Randalf was invaluable. You've also sponsored the construction of shrines and temples in every settlement in your Duchy, from the smallest hamlet to the largest town or city.

Your negotiations with the halflings have yielded success - they've agreed to continue talks with the Empire, by the year 435 the Halfling Kingdom should be part of the HPE.
>>760335
Your own efforts were insufficient to raise too many new troops.

Embla has finaly started getting to work with the aid of reinforcements, establishing contact between the frost giant villages. Her name is known across the northeastern part of the North now.
>>760345
You've helped with agricultural development, but have had no success in taming the wild lynxes of Kulargar.
>>760349
You've discovered islands directly west of Zhongian - an archipelago populated by humans, sea elves, lizards and dark elves. Zhongian rules over the human and dark elf-dominated islands, while the other races have independent city-states and pirate havens there.
>>760358
No success on either.
>>760390
You've implemented your holidays among your own cult. Nonbelievers who also partake are now potential recruits to you as well.
As royal physician, you've worked in REAGAN to advance the knowledge of surgery, compiling previous medical knowledge with your own experiments in a Codex Surgica.
>>760413
Starling grows to a small town. Its growth will continue over time. The nearby iron mine, as part of the deed to the town, brings you revenue.
>>760437
He advances his goblinium mine and his knowledge of smelting, creating a temple to Kovag in Astrakhan.
>>760446
Your workers got drunk and messed up the construction of the brewery at a critical moment. Most of them didn't get out of the rubble alive.
>>760424
You've created the Heavy Ranger Force. You have the facilities to provide them with equipment and training

You've rebuilt Centerhold, establishing support structures to prevent accidental falling into the chasm. You've built bridges to traverse it as well and the city is running smoothly once more. If you wish, you may begin exploiting the silver deposits.
>>

Making our own territory stronger is first and foremost

Its Oldfag OP returning once more!

>Name Of Faction: Divata's sons and daughters
>Brief History of the faction: Several females, tired with the life their were living, chose to devote themselves to the Goddess Divata. Eventually the females chose to expand their little "cult." They managed to get a couple hundred males and females to join them, and went to a Mercury mine and settlements surrounding it. They took over them and live there. They mine the mercury, it takes up a majority of the day. However something is odd about their lives, while it is not a full fledged matriarchy, the females tend to be more in charge. The females either hunt, or mine. The males stay at home and work with the children. They commonly worship the goddess divata and all animal kills in the wild are in her name.

I have decided to create a new guild, one that includes the Halfling Farmer's Guild within it almost, sort of like Hershey's owning M&Ms. The Iron Peaks League of Mercenaries.. After a discussion with the County of Ermagn, we have come to the conclusion that it would be much wiser for both of our lands to become a duchy. I am therefore allowing for my vassalage to the new Duchy of Virinum, which would have control over Gardengrove, Ermagn, Virinum, and their respective assets. Another piece of important news is that the current Count of Ermagn has just passed away in his sleep, he will be the last Count of Ermagn, as his son will become the new Duke of Virinum.

NEWS FROM THE SOUTHEAST
The Pantheonic King of Ezirin has been overthrown - according to rumors, THE MIGHTY has returned, leading orcs, ogres, trolls, minotaurs and even demons. His mighty Horde crushed the human soldiers defending Ezirin and he has taken control of the entire Kingdom. According to rumors, though, he also had aid from dragons...

Work is underway and the highest-priority tasks are finished.

Full battle readiness has been ordered! Training drills for the militia across the Kingdom have been increased, supplies are being prepared for a military campaign.
Similar actions have been undertaken in Paitras as well.
As far as standing Royal Legions are concerned, we currently have 8 at our disposal.
The Mighty hasn't made any moves in the past year outside his territory, he is strengthening his grasp there, it seems.

A delegation arrives in Ezirin.
The damage from the fighting has passed. Pantheonic temples have not been destroyed, but military presence is everywhere. The city is bustling with activity as humans are now only about half the population.

Upon learning of our delegation, a messenger says that the Mighty will allow us to see him in the Palace.

Indeed, he looks exactly as the old tales describe him, he hasn't aged a day.

What will you say?
>>
>>760906
"Great Mighty, I am the Royal Diplomat of the Kingdom of Roggar, part of the Holy Pantheonic Empire."

"We have come to ensure peace across our realms. We wish to know the agenda of you have in store. We can have trade, and have peace. There is no need to fight."

"What say you mighty?"

Gordon Icehewn, grey, yet otherwise strengthened by the passing years, speaks in turn, "So, you are the one they call 'the mighty'. Perhaps there can be peace, if you are anything other than a demon with a mortal face. Accept our peace, for yourself, and for your people."

Well, Graham and I were discussing issues at meal time, such as meat getting cold or burning your hand on food like a fool. Inevitably that lead to talk about how to fix this, and two thoughts grew in my head: gauntlets of cold to resist heat ranging from an overcooked meal to dragon's breath, and cutlery and/or tools to cut through materials with ease while simulatneously heating them up. Indeed, I imagine the latter has applications in both the military and mining businesses.

There is massive ceremony being held at Inkport. Everyone is invited to come and see the mystery ceremony.

In the Grand Hall when the Lord of the town rules the city is where the ceremony is being held.

Packed inside the Hall is Sea Elves and Lords and Noble women around the realm all waiting for the Grand Ceremony.

There is the Royal Diplomat Duke Rolf of Godric clad in his family Royal Armor with his blade unsheathe.

In front of the Duke is a Sea Elf one that is the oldest of this room. For that is Royal Admiral, Admiral Oceanus.

"Friends, Family, we are here today to say a farewall to Oceanus for he's time is up. His rule ends today! He will no longer be in Inkport. With a sad heart I bid him farewell. Knee Oceanus, my loyal court and friend."

"Admiral Oceanus, Your serivce to the Godric name was good and fair, short but sweet. Back when you were just a few and starving people I let you in. Now you showed that you are not weak, but strong, independent, and seeking for glory. This glory you seek, it can’t be done as my vassal, you will be in my shadow, we don’t forget your service in the Roggar and Partias war. The War of Zhongs and the War with the Patriots. You showed even with your small numbers you have spirit like a wolf or a buzzing bee. The king had grant you the right of land, you don’t be needing my guiding hand anymore, you are you own man, a man that has a whole world in front of him. You just have to take it and shape it as your own."

"Rise Admiral Oceanus you are no longer a vassal under my rule, now you are an equal go forth and be merry."

I am proud to announce the creation of two more guilds in Roggar. One is a mercenary group called the Band of the Demon, to honor the history of Nayte and and that of my ancestor (i.e. Berserk's Band of the Hawk). The other guild is Nayte's Rimor Legio, an adventures guild based on helping the realm with quests, commissions, and exploration.

Also, I am Commissioning a magical cloak, the Shroud of Shadows. Enchanted by both Nayte and Hawthorne Mages, this cloak is intended to help out with pranks and illusions of the wearer, as well as to protect from detection and harm.

There is a commotion within the Great Old Forge. A madness of sorts has come over Loki, and he has commandeered a forge and demands that Nayte's metals must be brought to him at once. For three days the clamor of the forge has been continuous, the hammering of metals unrelenting, and the fire of the forge unyielding to the darkness of the nights. One the fourth day, Loki came out of the Great Old Forge bearing his creation.

Massive, think, heavy, and far too rough. It was much too big to be called a sword. Indeed, it was like a heap of raw iron...

Mechanical creations are being used to pump water out of mines - an experimental device that the dwarves in the east have developed, it is spreading to our lands. A joint halfling-paitran-roggarian project has also yielded a better plow for oxen and horses to draw. Work continues between our three nations on improving agricultural technology - in time, results will come of it.

In other news, Emperor Verigal IV has put down a law, establishing an Imperial Treasury - the Kingdoms that constitute the Empire will be obliged to provide 5% of their taxes towards the Imperial Treasury, which will be used to fund matters which affect the Empire as a whole, primarily in joint research, defence and foreign affairs.
Over the past 15 years we've marked a steady improvement in the climate, as the weather has gotten warmer, similar to what it was before the cooling that happened around 150 years ago. As a result, agricultural yields are improved.

REAGAN's Faculty of Medicine has recieved royal funding. Aside from healing herbs, our apothecaries experiment with a variety of alchemical ingredients - the new mercury mine is of great help for that. While magical healing can deal with many ailments, we also need to advance scientific methods and the Faculty of Medicine, with the aid of the Cult of Drana, will work towards that goal.

it's better to get into Math THROUGH astronomy.
People are often more interested in questions and problem than just pure scientific studies, setting goals help stimulate progress so i guess setting up a proper predicatble calendar of Stars and planets that we can see is a goal.

The study of the heavenly bodies has intrigued men for many years, but the newly established Faculty of Astronomy advances geometry, mathematics and of course, the knowledge of the stars.

Happy and peaceful times for our people - harvest have been few, no major epidemics, trade runs smoothly and the Halfling Kingdom has aranged its entrance into the HPE earlier than expected! Truly, these may be our most prosperous days in our recorded history, the standart of living has increased nationwide as our population grows.
The Zhongian Kingdom is involved in another crisis over rulership as the corruption of the Empress, who practically runs the Imperial Court, has been exposed to the realm's nobles. The Barbarian King has been focusing his efforts on internal strengthening, while Anglanorse has opened itself up to trade and travel with southern realms.

We've funded MAGA's expanse - both MAGA and REAGAN have campus facilities outside the capital's walls and central facilities inside of them.
Enchantment has been the main focus of our latest effors - enchantment essentially allows the effects of certain spells to be sealed into solid form and their effects triggered at will, or to be a constant, passive effect. The usage of the enchantment consumes magical energy, which must be recharged by a trained enchanter - golems also have to be recharged and controlled by a trained golemancer. Alchemy, meanwhile, stores magical or natural effects in liquid form.
Another magical academy in Roggar is Hogwarts. Interestingly, the two best magical instructors, one in each academy, are high elves, sisters by the name of Talis and Halis, the latter being the top instructor at the capital's academy.

The Emperor has decided that the Imperial Treasury will contribute to an all-round improvement of highways and fortifications that will connect and defend all corners of the Empire. Work is steadily underway.
The High Pontifficate of Dominas has been sending priests to Anglanorse with some success in proselytization - Ragnaset I passed away some years ago and his heir, Mikkerl I, is more interested in southern ways and culture than his father.
We've also managed to improve relations with the centaurs and connect their capital to our own roads.(Map still needs more work, but I won't delay so much for it).
Zhongian has entered a civil war as most of the Empire has declared itself in revolt against the Empress. Most dark elves support her, but the Wind Dragons have largely remained neutral so far.

On one of his rare visits to the capital, King Swift-Hands ordered recruitment of new legions to begin. The goal is to have 27 standing Legions by the year 441 at the latest. The 8 current legions will assist the training of the new ones who will be raised - veterans of the wars 30 years ago will be used as senior officers. The pool of recruits is large and with appropriate funding(which we are fully able to provide), work will be smooth.

On his way back to Gobbopolis to work on his own business, which is what has caused the King to be fairly absent from rulership in the past years, his Majesty was assailed! Surviving Kingsguard report that a thick, dark mist covered them, arrows and firebolts rained from the sky. Several figures moved through the mist, killing three of the dozen Guards as well as King Swift-Hands himself!

One of the Kingsguard managed to blindly hit one of the assailants and deliver a mortal strike - after the smoke cleared, the assassins were gone. Five corpses were left - of the King, three of his Guards....and a very well armed dark elf.

Not just a 100, but also Satanic trips.

The Cult of Divata has spread its influence over a larger area. Its leaders recieved a vision all at the same time - Divata came to them in their sleep and gave them a message. As they woke up and went outside, a comet in the sky pointed them to a location on the Longfork basin - amid a newly built farm's fields, a massive tree had sprouted overnight. This was a sign - the cult of Divata moved into this area and founded a new town. They built a strong and beautiful bridge, Divata's Pathway, a town by the name of Midway on both sides. The tree itself became the center of the Temple of Divata, a holy site for all worshippers of the Lady of the Wild.

Along with that, we can also report with certainty that the current Ranger Grandmaster, Senan Armstrong, has been chosen as King of Roggar! Long may he reign!

No time to draw a map right now, so I'll try and describe it with words.
The lizardfolk live in damp jungles and wetlands, lush with exotic life - their small nations are stretched over the coasts of the continent and the islands that dot the sea. The inland jungles are home to more primitive tribes, as well as some of the islands.
On our continent and the nearby islands there are three primary subraces of lizardfolk:
The lizan are the closest to humans in both body and manners, which has allowed them to dominate much of the trade that goes on in the High Seas. They live in oligarchic or democratic city-states, the biggest of which is Gajaxlan.
The lazdverk are bigger and stronger, more intimidating. This has led to them developing a more militaristic culture - the Lazdverk have one fairly large Kingdom that has been growing and trying to annex the other lizard lands. Aside from that, they have a number of autocratic city-states.
The digushen are more beastly and primitive - almost all of them live away from more advanced civilzation. They have not organised any Kingdom or city-state of their own, but those who are more adventurous have set out and live among other lizards.

Not too far south of Gajaxlan lie the southernmost shores of our continent. From there, for many miles to the east, the lizardfolk rule the coasts, jungles and islands, up to the desertlands that make up the southeastern part of our continent.

Those 81 rolls each get 8+1, making them 90
We fought and slaughtered the lizardmen - there may have been as many as a hundred-hundred twenty of them.

We make our way past the pier, into the town. The streets are empty, screams are coming from the direction of a stone pyramid.
From the shadows, a number of figures approach. Stong-looking carapaces protect the bodies of these horrors as they silently approach us! Another fight on our hands! Rolling for their average performance.

Kogal's eyes are pinned on Loki. The demon gets into melee range in the blink of an eye and with his bare fist takes out Loki's heart and then eats it.

This, however, gives the rest in our party enough time to swarm over the demon, cutting, crushing and stabbing. His healing can't cover this many attacks.
"Pathetic!" Is the last word that comes out of Kogal's mouth as his body crumples to the ground, lifeless.
A rumble is heard across the temple - from the place where there is a large hole in the ground, a being comes out. With one large eye, several smaller ones, fangs and mouths all over, it is a horrifying thing to look at. The horror's true form. Its tentacles lash out against our party!

Dressed in his finest clothes, Loki almost looked at peace, surrounded by Leia's prized possessions. They stood there a moment, looking inside the coffin before closing it and letting it descend into the darkness of the void.

One by one, they left until there was only three that remained. The mother died during childbirth, so it was only fitting for Loki and Leia to be buried right next to her. The three men stood there, staring and the gravestone, it's illusions depicting the likeness of both Loki and Leia laughing in merriment, a stark contrast to the current mood. Looming over the grave of his brother, Baldr looked finally looked his age, tears streaming down the face of the last of the three brothers. Little Loki was somber, his visage in sharp contrast to the laugh lines that were always on his face. Nicc's frown was one of chiseled stone, and his misty eyes looked like Loki's in his final moments in the half-light of the rain.

The three stared at the fresh soil, as if waiting for someone to appear. Eventual, as day faded into the night, they left, walking into the mist covered darkness of the night, never once turning back to grave of brightened illusions.

Forgetting about the most lovable Honey loving faction there is.

The Godrics are here in town. Ready to sweeten everyone day up one jar of honey at a time. Or some mead, beer, or sake for you,

Duke Rolf was said to be a goner in the fight but he pulled through with the glory of the gods to help him out.

Since The Duke is alive and well he seek a change of life and give the crown to his son while he spread his days, out spreading the world to all the good people of the world.

With the resent discovery of pirate havens west of Zhongian a part of the navy led by Alfhild Gunnarson, the daughter of the half elf Galothir Gunnarson. One of our flagship Hexareme will be sent along with 10 longships. Ensuring that we would have a proper force, while still able to remain hidden and out maneuver potential enemies. Many of the men sent on this mission will be well versed in water and storm magic. With this expedition men from the Royal Cartographer will accompany us to help guide the land they discovered some 20 years ago.

The main goal of this expedition is to at first gain more concrete information about the pirate havens there (sending in a scout ship to try and infiltrate). Secondly with the information gathered decide where to strike and set up a naval base for Roggar.

>Faction Project - Gunnarson Clan
Get more old god dwarves to immigrate to Roggar to see the holy Father Mountain!

(Many northerners go on pilgrimages to see his holiness. Trekking to what used to be threemines. They go to him bearing gifts of stone and metal. All so that they can see his magnificence. And if they are especially lucky he will impart on them some of his vast wisdom. And if we are especially lucky he will return some of the power we have vested in him through our faith. Father-Mountain will guide us back unto the true path, the path of the true gods!)

>>767741
Your religious reform has been successful, with a proper hierarchy of Roggar's church being established. No success on the temple in Vahkrin though.

Kovag priests have been exploring the chasm that opened up in Centerhold - now at last, they've come to us with a great finding! In a deeper shaft, there are large, natural deposits of GALENTINE! Huzzah!

In other news, the Royal Cartographer's office has at last produced a map outlining the coasts of our entire continent! Thanks to our latest expedition and trade and exchange of information with our friends in the east, we now have a rough idea of what Setyrias - that is the elven name of this continent - looks like. Its southern interior remains unexplored, though.
In other news, it appears the Empress of Zhongian has been deposed. A new Emperor, from a different dynasty, has taken the throne, now supported by the Wind Dragons

Post posthumously, the great work of Cornelius is finally compiled together.
"The Saga of Roggar: Part 1" Covers the history of Roggar from it's creation by the hero Rog to the killing of the great enemy Ledvelast.
Within is drawings of important men, heroes and traitors, Kings and Generals, monuments and ruins. All is covered in explicit detail.
As formerly agreed a first edition copy shall be sent to the duke of Virinium, whom in return has erected a statue of great beauty withing Barnabus' Rest, dedicated to the late and great 13th Trusted Adviser. It will serve to remind the halflings who truly owns the town.
Already numerous copy's are being made of this triumph of literature and are being spread across Roggar, with the intention that every lord should own one. If they will have it of course.
Within they will also find family trees of all the great houses of Roggar, extinct and thriving alike.

Wew lad.
You've made Gregariapol....an actually nice place to live, among the nicest urban areas, in fact! With the fantastic economic conditions in the Empire and its central position, your city is more prosperous than ever, disease, homelessness and unemployment are at an all-time low, while the new schools, temples and Academies(affiliates of MAGA and REAGAN). Gregariapol is now a center of culture, economy, faith, science and entertainment, with the opening of your Arena as well.

Intent on not lacking behind, we've invested in the development of our glorious capital, Dragonstomb. It will grow in size and prosperity.
Here is the current asset list for Dragonstomb.

The Capital city of Roggar is Dragonstomb and its Metropolitan area, ruled by the King.
Dragonstomb Assets:
1.Great Old Forge - built in the first century and renovated mutliple times, it is in the center of the craftsmen's district
2.Gladiatorum - built over the Old Arena, the Gladiatorum is a true Wonder, with a large fighting area, room for tens of thousands of spectators, with an underground complex that supports the logistics of the Gladiatorum. Statues of all of Roggar's monarchs can be found in various places across the Gladiatorum - guarding the gates, among the viewers, in the underground area and on the sand.
3.The Tomb - the largest and most secure prison in Roggar
4.King's Palace - largely self-sufficient in terms of facilities, the Palace has its own defences and lies near the coast, rather than at the center of the city
5.Great Temple of the Pantheon - the seat of the Pontiff, a great temple dedicated to the Thirteen Gods of the Pantheon
6.REAGAN (Royal Educational Academy for the Godly Academic Needs) - an Academy of Natural Sciences
7.MAGA (Magical Academy of Godly Arts) - an Academy of Magical Arts. Notable instructor: Halis Swiftwood
8.Field of Eternal Glory - a cemetary in which the remains of Roggar's greatest heroes are buried, overlooking both the sea and most of the city

We've decided to work on a wonder.
What should it be?
A.Improve an existing one(pick from the list)
B.Improve the island of Dragonstone, build a great lighthouse around which a mighty fortress will stand, to guard the entrance to the capital by sea
C.A great Stadium for sports and events
D.A Great Temple to the Old Gods
E.A large administrative center for the Council and all its needs

We haven't invested in the navy's development in a long while - some of our ships are in dire need of repair and upgrade. As part of an Imperial Naval Initiative, we will work together with Paitras and the halflings in training our crews and officers while building more shps

News has reached that Emperor Verigal has fallen ill - he is 63 now.

We've advanced medical knowledge further in working with Imperial medics. In the naval sphere, we've studied more recent designs of norse ships, which use better rudders, timberwork and sails - our longships have been improved.

In the winter of 451-452, Emperor Verigal IV passed away.
His son, Callian I, has inherited the Paitran Crown.

The Five Kings of the Empire are now gathered in Dominas.

>Senan Armstrong, 42, King of Roggar.
>Teoreman Odalan, 50, Halfling King
>Callian Ezgielan, 33, King of Paitras
>Staram Kragnan, 41, King of Kragnaal
>Murbig Lightsteel, 30, King of Ellstelg

The highest-ranking pantheonic priests of the kingdoms gathered together and prayed to the Gods for guidance on how the next ruler must be selected...
It was Stoman who spoke to them - the one who will rule the Holy Pantheonic Empire will be decided by a contest of unarmed combat!
The halfling King withdrew from the contest, as his age and health wouldn't help him in any way.

The four remaining contestants, two humans and two dwarves, will proceed...

The first two combatants have been chosen - Roggar's King versus Paitras' King. It has been determined that the two will fight in Dragonstomb - our King will have a home terrain advantage, in the great Gladiatorum - where the statues of all previous Kings of Roggar can be seen, one of the great wonders of our capital. Tens of thousands of people have come and it's not just anybody - these are the priests, commanders, nobles, administrators, who have filled up even the normal seats in the Gladiatorum!

A very muscular priest of Stoman walks out to the sand. Casting magic, he is able to enchance his voice and is heard by everyone.

"Ladies and gentlemen, lords and ladies of the Holy Pantheonic Empire, welcome to the Gladiatorum! Two Kings will fight in the preliminary round for the tittle of Emperor.
The rules are as follows - no weapons, magic, potions or any equipment beyond normal clothes. Killing the opponent is not allowed and maiming them or causing any permament damage is frowned upon - one of you may become Emperor soon, after all. Other than that, there are no limits - you may use any unarmed fighting techniques to achieve victory. May the Gods guide the better man."
Trumpets are sounded and the gates are opened.

"To my right, you see the King of Paitras, Callian Ezgielan, 33 years of age. To my left is Senan Armstrong, 42, King of Roggar."

Though Senan is older, he looks as strong as he's ever been, tall and buff. Callian has the frame of a fairly average Paitran soldier.

"And now...let the fight BEGIN!"

Callian asumes a defensive position, waiting to counter Senan's first move.

Senan uses his secret CQC techniques - he quickly went beyond the basics! Baiting Callian, he manages to grab the Paitran's arms and twist, dislocating them at the joints - the Paitran King falls down in pain and agony and the referee calls the match - Senan Armstrong wins. The swiftness with which he executed his secret techniques also prevented anyone from managing to understand them completely, preserving the secret.

On the next day, the Gladiatorum welcomes a large crowd again. This time, the two Dwarven Kings will fight(controlled by players who volunteered).

>Staram Kragnan, 41, King of Kragnaal
>Murbig Lightsteel, 30, King of Ellstelg

Staram is older, with more experience, while Murbig is faster on his feet and has better stamina. Strength-wise they are fairly similar.

The Paitrans learned a lot about culture and religion from the High Elves, but when it comes to fighting, they learned more from the dwarves.

The tallest among dwarves stand at a bit over 5 feet - these two Kings are roughly equal, just an inch or two shy of 5 feet in height. The older one's beard is thicker, while the younger one still has a head full of hair.

The fighters are ready - the match begins!

Lightsteel starts using is stamina and Agility to his advantage, setting up a defensive stance and focusing on fast punches rather than powerful punches, every time Kragnan tries to punch him, he will attempt to Parry, and eventually wear the dwarf out.

Staram Kragnan asumes a defensive position, waiting to counter Lightsteel's first move.

"I may be older but I got more experience than you laddy."

Murbig starts out the fight with swift jabs - Kragnaal, too focused on the defensive, is not able to counter such fast attacks, though they do fairly little to change the balance in the fight, it gives Murbig control of the pace!

Murbig continues leading the pace for several minutes, as Staram is getting more and more tired. The older dwarf tries to get in close and puts everything into a decisive strike to knock his enemy down, but Murbig is able to simply evade and make a cross counter into Staram's chin! Kragnan's whole mass was concentrated into that forward attack and it all came back to bite him! The light fades out of Staram's eyes as he falls down.
KNOCKOUT VICTORY - MURBIG LIGHTSTEEL OF ELLSTELG
As medics rush to the field, Staram's eyes open again - his words can hardly be understood and the medics have to restrain him. His will is still strong, but any further fighting would damage his body beyond repair. Even now he has fracturing and concussion in his skull that will leave him scarred for life.

Baldr has returned from his journey, and has brought along some of his recent finished works.

The first is a children's book called "Band of Brothers", following the adventures of three brothers, Thor, Loki, and Baldr, on a merry adventure full of many laughs and sorrows (may or may not be based on real events). Illusions are included.

The second book is called "The Life of Baldr", and follow the life and adventures of Baldr, giving an insight on his thought, motivations, and trials throughout his life, a part of which revolves around the Ice Dragons and Studanek, the last know Ice Dragon. Also complete with some illusions.

In his last years, Baldr wishes to complete his last work, "The History of the Dragon Guard Vol. I", giving a complete history of his family and faction since the time of Guttsu, to todays contemporary events and current family.
>>

An excerpt taken from "The Life of Baldr"...

“I’m Rick Harrison, and this is my silvershop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Every silver in here has a story and a price. One thing I’ve learned after 21 years – you never know WHAT is gonna come through that door.”
(Loki crashes through the door, leaving only splinters)
"DAMN IT LEIA! I'M NOT PAYING FOR THIS!"
(Loki turns to the shopkeep)
"Hi, do you have Battletoads?"
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Battletoads. Do you have them or not?"
"I'm sorry sir, i don't know what you are talking about."
"DAMN YOU LITTLE LOKI! YOU FUCKED WITH ME FOR THE LAST TIME! Do you have any long, sharp instruments at your disposal?"
"Uh, yes we do sir, right over here."
"Thank you, good sir."
(Loki takes the sharp instrument and then proceeds to jump though a window, yelling about how he was going to "discipline" Little Loki...)

We are currently on the 15th Trusted Adviser, they do not marry and discard their names upon assuming the position. However recently the Advisers have become more lax, with members marrying and keeping their names.
You could represent the more conservative groups that form a break away bloc that forms another organisation.

Octavius whitevayne researched deep into Spatial magic at the Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The results he found could be a a great boon to the kingdom and then entire empire. Octavius the archmage of Roggar met with various council members including the Guard commander, the Dragon Commander and the Royal Admiral. Officers and Guardsmen would attend training at the Hogwarts Academy, where they would be trained to transmit sound to other Spatially Trained guards. Thus improving communcation greatly. Guards can call for back up and Lock down a city with ease. Army commanders and officers of Legions can now make quick clean manoveurs and formations. The communication in Armies is a massive issue but now Commands can be issued instantly and with ease.
Admirals and captains of the navy needed flags and trumpets prior to this new Magic. It will allow clean orders and minimal errors in Communication and understanding of said Orders.
