Dust Consumption was so sweet though.
>>
>>782851
We've done it, lads.

>Captcha is Gate

ACTIVATE THE STAR GATE.
>>
>>782856
Thats a name
>>
I am going to let you guys vote for the name for the nerfed gate of babylon, going to explain how it works shortly.
>>
>>782862

Starrgate is a go.
>>
>>782862
So, How this will work is, You need to physically hold the weapon in your hand to enter it into the gate. Once it is inside, you have infite copies of said weapon. Howver, You can only use one of the copies of a weapon in the gate at a time.
>>
>>782862
Heavens Arsenal
>>
>>782877
Man, we lucked out on our dad being the CEO of a weapons manufacturer then.
>>
Since we're rich here's my pitch for a bullshit even by RWBY Standards weapon:

Dust round mass acellerator (elemental railgun) > Dust amplified Grav hammer form > dust loaded double sawn off form

I want to call it the Red Dwarf

I'm thinking appearance wise the railgun looks like XCOM EU Laser rifle, that form folds out to a White and Red grav hammer. The two sawn offs are super sleek modern guns.

I think this is the right amount of bullshit to be a Starr.
>>
>>782877
So instant reload on all weapons
Cool
>>
>>782885
you can enter any weapon into the gate if you manage to get a hold of it. Also it CAN launch copies a la real gate of babylon but only one of each at a time, To launch another of the same copy you have to destroy the current copy or put it back in via Touching it
>>
>>782893

I was thinking more for our iconic weapon rather than semblance.

c'mon Snek. Give us the Red Dwarf.
>>
>>782893
Also going to say that you can choose one MAIN weapon that will be more powerful than the rest of the copies from the gate, Keep in mind if this weapon gets destroyed, it is gone for good.

Doing alright, short narrative can be nice, and honestly is in this case, but do try to add a little bit more description.
Yeah we got a picture of the cute gril, but when we ran into them, we don't know who we ran into/tripped over. It's not important in this case but hey, who knows, it might be eventually.

Other than (even with that) that it's good.

Just going to say here that I rolled out all the OCs on the same Character creation sheet I used for you guys.
>>
>>783617
Seconding this.

I've seen much worse starts, but it's given that all that's happened so far is chargen and one scene set up, hard to judge.

I will say it helps we seem to have gotten a pretty cool protag from the dice.
>>
>>783588
Definitely the waiter.
No way it could be the street rat.
>>
>>783629
You need to provide more meat for anon to chew on and get inspired to participate. As it stands, we've got no insights into our own mindset, no descriptions of our surroundings, and the dialogue tags are unclear as to who is speaking. Take advantage of the formatting options afforded to you by the board, and read up on some of the more successful QMs' work to get an idea of the kind of posts that engender participation. Relic or Beleaguered Prince are good examples of short-form narrative posts that flow relatively quickly and still offer insight into the quest's world.

The girl then says "I only ran because you began to scream and chase me, what would any girl do when a man does that?" She says, while seeming to try to look innocent.

"Uhh, I would say 500 l-" At this point you hit him in the face with a wad of around 500 Lien.

You hear her running up behind, you turn around to try and dodge when you see a few things happen at once. First you see the telltale sign of Aura usage from the girl. Then you see her flick you in the nuts. After that, you see her stop completely as you feel all of the momentum she had being transferred straight into the area she just flicked. Then you are on the ground holding your aching groin region, cursing.

Why don't we just walk away and try to be a decent person for now? We can get our revenge later if she shows up again. Preferably in the most publicly humiliating way possible.
>>
>>787167
It is that, resorting to physical violence and attacking the one that is trying to teach us a lesson in humility and good manners IS very in character for a superpowered rich jerk.
The behavior you are describing correlates a bit better with some character development we haven't gone through yet. (except for the humiliation part)

But the choice is made, we will talk it out,
>>
>>786232
More than that she seems to have the previously mentioned Momentum Swap.

Even assuming all that it can do is transfer her momentum into whatever she touches he might be at a disadvantage. She probably uses a weapon that can increase her momentum. Running away doesn't seem to be his strong suit, so there's probably no outrunning her. The same for keeping distance and shooting her, doesn't seem reliable considering her weapon, and I'm unsure of the environment we're in, there might not be much room to evade. Potentially the shotguns could work well to keep her at a distance but it may be necessary to fall back on the hammer to take direct hits when evasion isn't reasonable. The problem is that she has an inherent advantage in battles with close range weapons. All she has to do is run in at full speed and divert your weapon with hers without losing momentum, then she can just poke you in the chest to knock you over and then she can have her way with you. Knocking her hand out of the way probably doesn't even work since that still counts as her touching you, or your weapon. The risk is too great if you ask me.

In the first place there's no guarantee that the way she used her power is the only way to use it. We might have too little information. Attacking her is a bad idea.
>>
>>787176
Our best bet? Grappling, reduces her momentum to something manegeable. And if we have better bulk, we have that in our favor. But considering the baseline powerlevel of the setting, that might not make much difference.
And the fact that it would look like we are raping her isn't good either
>>
>>787178
There's also the fact that she's rabble. She probably expects someone to try and rape her. Probably has a tiny knife somewhere just waiting for someone to grab her. It's a bad matchup all around. Only the element of surprise is reliable on her and we DO have that since she got all soft all of a sudden. Seems kind of silly to bully her at this point though. Just asking to get stabbed in the back later on.
>>
>>787167
>why don't we just walk away from the girl with a portrait who we'll almost certainly see again, possibly on our ultimate team, not even knowing anything about her that would be useful if we did decide to take revenge, and instead force the QM to create something new for us to interact with that will inevitably be less interesting?

The rule in canon is "color, or directly evocative of a color". CASH is directly evocative of the almighty dollar.

The girl who wielded the gun, now standing idly, stands at a somewhat short 5 feet tall. She has light blue-purple hair, and brown eyes. She's dressed in a dark blue top and a lighter blue skirt. Both are somewhat ratty and dirty, due to the fact that she lives in the slums. On her hip is a well-used black holster.

I think I have a good handle on the characters.
LizardGirl has bow and arrows, apparently.
Blue has a gun.
Gray has a hammer, though I'm unsure of the size. Small enough she can flip around, big enough she can deal damage.

Fuck me I shouldn't post while tired. Her description is somewhat generic. Not everything else, considering we haven't seen anything of her aside from shooting the thugs.

>>
>>790822
I'm disgusted but also ashamed to admit I'm warming to this idea.

Lovingly massaging a cute lizard girl's back sounds like a wonderful idea
>>
>>790848
Scales are very dry, i imagine a lizardgirl girlfriend would ask for constant massages with moisturizers and oils.
If she is cold blooded she would also enjoy long sessions of cuddling.
And if you think that spooning your girlfriend in the middle of summer would get uncomfortable, think again, her endothermic nature would keep you comfortably fresh and her just warm enough.

God damnit, 44UcWOtl ! I was rooting for the flatchested thief because i am not into tall girls! Look what you've made me do now!

The world has gone to shit
The Hollo- Eh, some black creatures made of darkness and bone have taken over the world and humanity is relegated to some small few cities
We seem to be some superpowered teenagers
We are enrolled in a military academy of sorts
Every weapon is both a medieval weapon and a gun
We are rich as fuck and heir to one of the biggest weapon manufacturers thanks to the rolls
We are about to meet the waifus
We are in the Bronx of the current city
That should be it

Soo.... we have the abillity to create infinite copies of any item we store, but my question is, can we store any thing other then weapons? Because i wanna store a bag of popcorn and eat it when drama occurs,
Hell it doesnt even have to have nutrients or anything, as long as i get to eat popcorn and watch catfights i will be fine
>>
>>793656
If we can convince the QM to make an exception, maybe.

But i see them tasting like cardboard or and disolving as if made of seafoam. As to not cheese it and solving world hunger... With popcorn
>>
>>793656
Considering that we can only bring out one copy of a given weapon at a time, I don't think it would be very fun to eat one kernel of popcorn at a time. Maybe later, if we ever manage to grow our semblance's abilities, we'll eventually be able to summon a full bag.

>Rich Idea
>Rich setting
>Poor Waifus
>Poor Dialogue
>Poor Plot Hooks
>Poor depth to the quest already, in the first thread...
>Poor grammar and structure
>Lack of direction and prompts

Honestly, It started up on a better than average note but lacked any sort of lasting power beyond the - myself not omitted- rampant fanboy-ism of the RWBY setting.

Time between posts is alright, but I wish there was actually more to each one.

It still has the potential to be good, but as of right now it just looks like another one of the many quests that stagnated in 2-3 threads and now just litter the /qst/ board.

I do admit that the QM could put more work on each update.
There is no way to justify the amount of time each update takes if there is so little content on each one.
I am sticking with this quest because i think the QM can become a better one. But you are right.
