/qst/ - Quests

You asked for it, and you got it! Demon Overlord Quest continues on today!

Last time, so many things happened! You gained a couple of allies! (one through a show of force) You uncovered a conspiracy to take the title of Overlord from the winner of the Tournament! You geared up and circumvented the rules! You took on two opponents and beat the ever-loving tar out of them. You gave head-pats to your minion Cleric, Anasael!

And, most importantly, you trained to raise your stats! Those can be found here: http://pastebin.com/whRSLSHc

Like before, you are Gneotho: a recently transformed Armor Knight who is participating in the Potential X Potential Overlord Tournament! You have just finished training in Anasael's Personal Netherworld, Tartarus. You and your Cleric return to the real Netherworld of Potential X as another fight in the second round finishes up. It seems it was Kain's fight. Unlike the first one, there doesn't seem to have been much damage inflicted on her time. She makes her way to the clinic under her own power. Brynn takes the stage once more to announce the next fight.

"NEXT UP: CINDERRUN THE CLERGY VERSUS ANASAEL THE CLERIC! THE BATTLE OF HEALERS! GET READY FOR THE LONG HAUL, FOLKS!" The crowd makes a noise that isn't excitement, but isn't disapproval. You think the murmurs are something akin to surprise and confusion as well as a pinch of curiosity.

"Looks like I'm next, my lady! I don't think you need to bother yourself with me for this round. You weren't the only one who decided to train themselves up!" Anasael smiles confidently at you while smacking the end of the Ladle against her opposite hand. "Cinderrun won't know what hit him!"

>"Good luck!"
>"You better win. I'm counting on you."

Without a word, you take Anasael into your embrace. She squirms for a moment, but quickly surrenders to the warms of your bosom. Just as quickly as you hugged her, you let go. "U-um..." She starts to stammer, trying to find something to say. You simply smile and pat her head and wave her off. She smiles back. "I'll win for sure!" She manages to get out those words before being teleported to the next arena. You weren't listening to him, but you think Brynn said the fight would take place on Pixel Galaxy.

While you are quite invested in her, you are not looking forward to watching a dull fight between healing classes. You tell yourself you'll do some work for the master plan and keep an eye on her match every now and then.

You decide to check on Kain first thing.. Like before, you make your way through the throngs of demons attempting to spectate the match. But, unlike before, Kain is simply sitting atop the center cot with the 'hopsital' Cleric performing a healing spell over her back. She looks up and notices you. Kain's eyes light up with the recognition and waves casually.

"Its you. Did you see my match?" She inquires in a neutral voice. You shake your head glumly, but the Valkyrie gives you a smirk. "Well you missed something even more entertaining than the last. Went up against Lingo. A Horseman type monster. He has to be just about as tanky as you. Though probably meaner." She laughs to herself. "But he wasn't expecting me to be a match for him in a jousting contest!"

Kain lays out an interesting tale of how she defeated Lingo and you get the hint that there is only a minor amount of embellishment to it. It must have been a repeated story because the Cleric rolls her eyes and leaves to the two of you alone.

"So did you come here just for little old me again?" She asks in a taunting voice.

>"A cute little thing like you? Of course!" (Roll d100 to make uncomfortable!)
>"I'd like to make sure my allies are being taken care of."

You call her bluff and lean in with a seductive look. Kain's face turns red and leans back slightly. "A cute little thing like you?" You lean in further. You place a hand on the bed and really invade the Valkyrie's personal space. "Of... course." You whisper in her ear, making sure your breath caresses her hair.

Kain's Opinion of herself: ???

"W... what do you..." Her voice is trembling and you smile. You pull back suddenly, beaming.

"Haha! I'm just teasing you! Though you sound like you're getting used to your new body." You chuckle and Kain blushes.

Kain's Opinion of you: -25

"Well... I was just trying bring some levity." She folds her arms and pouts. Her cheeks still blazing a rosy pink. "A-as you can see, I'm fine. I'm one step closer to regaining my full power. Now did you want something or not?" She sounds irritated, but not violently so.

You plop down on the cot across from Kain. "You saw the other fights, right? What's the competition looking like? Any big threats? Anyone we could bring around?" Your tone is hushed so the clinic staff don't hear you, but still loud enough for Kain to hear you over the crowds.

"Most went about as well as mine. Dramatic and high energy. Winners were Maconon, Graive, Mystery Person 14, Nahiel and Dan. Both Maconon and Mystery Person 14 are Dark Knights, Graive is another Valkyrie and Naheil is a Fight Mistress. Dan is an Armor Knight like you." Kain leans back on the cot. "They're all pretty cunning fighters and tough to boot. I don't know about drawing them to our side, though. I haven't talked to any of them, so I can't say anything to their ability to listen to reason, but they're demons. You give them an option to be devious, and they might take you up on it."

You think back to the list Anasael made of potential allies against Brynn. All of them were on it. If Anasael thinks they're reasonable and worthwhile enough to be potential pawns in your powerplay, it might be worth it to give negotiations a try. With that juicy tidbit filed away, you move on to another topic.

A devious smile creeps across your lips again. "You know, I have another reason for coming here." You start off casually and Kain responds in kind.

"Oh yeah? What's that?"

"I wanted to ask you if you like to..." you trail off hiding a stifled giggle behind a lip bite. "have some alone time with me."

Kain sits up straight in an instant. "W...what?"

"Well... we're allies. And we have quite a bit of time before out next battles. I thought it might be a good point for us to bond."

"B-bond?" Her voice cracks as her face turns red.

"I know just the place, too. C'mon!" You smile eagerly and grab her hand, pulling the Valkyrie off the bed and rushing her out of the clinic. You can hear the in-house Cleric and Clergy giggle to themselves about the scenario.

"W-wait a minute. I... I..." Its cute how flustered she's getting. Before long, the two of you are in the darkened corner of the hall where Anasael set up Tartarus.

"Here we are." You coo seductively and gently place your arm around Kain's waist. "Anasael lent me her Personal Netherworld it work at 1/100th normal time, so we don't have to worry about missing our matches while.. we..." You lean in lower and whisper into the female fighter's ear. "Train."

"We... train?" She turns her head confused.

"Of course train!" You take back your usual casual tone. "What did you think I meant. If we're going to be at the top of the tourney and take out Brynn, we need all the advantages we can!" You smile widely again as Kain's flustered face starts to lose its red.

You repeat the chant you hear Anasael do and soon you and Kain are teleported into Tartarus. The Captain salutes you both.

"Welcome to Tartarus, dood! Any friend of Lady Gneotho is a friend of ours!" Kain looks around in awe of how massive Tartarus is.

"Its pretty cool, right?" You nudge the girl with a smirk on your lips.

"W-well... Its alright, I guess." Kain attempts to play cool, but you can see the amazement on her face clear as day.

"Sure. Anyway, that sphere over there lets you view the real world. It also acts as a portal back. The Captain here can help you train if that's what you want to do. I'd suggest it, though, if we want to be prepared to take on Brynn." You make motions to the Prinny, who salutes you again.

"That's... good. I think I'll take you up on that." Kain nods.

"Before you go, Kain," The Valkyrie pauses as you speak up again, "What were you like before the transformation? I mean, you're an excellent swordswoman now, but what was your forte before that?"

"I'd always fought using only my fists. I thought that the wheel would make me a Martial Artist something. I mean, what's more natural than using one's own two hands? And now... I don't know." She turns again, her shoulders drooping for a moment. She shakes her head and marches on, following Captain Barrabus to the training area. You know Kain is in good hands now and make to leave the Personal Netherworld.

When you exit, you see Anasael's fight is still trudging along. The good news is that she's at least winning. Cinderrun has been put to sleep and poisoned. Bad new is Ana has somehow gotten stuck in an 8-bit tree and is trying her best to keep whatever is supplying the life feed out of compromising angles.

This leaves you with a lot of time still.

You think the best way to cover your bases would be to start with one of the Dark Knights, and with a name like Mystery Person 14, how could you not investigate. You ask around a little before being pointed towards a a demon in dark, jagged armor glowing with a faint red, menacing aura. You notice he is glaring at someone else in the crowd. Following his sight, you see that Mystery Person is participating in a long-distance staring contest with the other Dark Knight, Maconon, who is standing across the hall against another pillar. His dark hair falls in haphazardly around his face with a few locks crossing between his eyes and over his nose. As you get closer you notice you are a full head and shoulders taller than him, but despite that, his look and demeanor put you on edge.

"Can I help you?" His gravelly voice scratches up to your ears.

>>808064
He doesn't seem like the tipe to appreciate small talk though. Go for some ego stroking, appeal to a sense of superiority if you find one after some verbal prodding. If he's the type that just wants to get shit done, no bullshit just say what you're looking for from him.

>>808075

A few thoughts go through your head as the Dark Knight awaits your answer. You've been on a seduction kick recently, do you try that on him? You don't know how that would work. You don't know anything about him to dig into for that. What if he reacts violently? You're basically a tank, but something about this guy gives you the chills.

What if you try small talk? No he doesn't look the type. Maybe its time to do some bootlicking? Your own ego would take some kicks, but ego stroking goes a long way when you're manipulating other demons. Provided he's the vain type who would enjoy that... urg... Kain wasn't this hard to read at all!

You sigh and decided to right for the throat.

"I'd like to talk to you about something. Privately, if you'd be so inclined. Its a delicate matter I think we'd both benefit from." Your jaw clentches as the words escape your lips.

"Okay."

You blink in surprise and look back down at him. He's looking you dead in the eyes with his unyielding stare.

"O-okay. Awesome. Follow me." You lead him behind the pillars opposite of where Tartarus is hidden before beginning your pitch.

"Just like that. I had a couple of allies lose in this tournament and they haven't shown back up to cheer me on. It bodes ill." It hadn't really occurred to you that other demons were organizing, but you aren't surprised by it. "I'm sure your condition is that I'm your subordinate?"

"Er... Y-yeah." You stammer out, still off-balance by this surreal exchange.

"I'm fine with that. I'll send you my expense rates after you take the title." Mystery Person 14 turns to leave, his cape swishing with the move. "A little advise, though. Watch out for Maconon. I don't trust him."

>Holy shit that was easy!
>What just happened?
>I have a bad feeling about this.

You still have a little time before Anasael's match ends. She seems to have completely dominated this fight. Cinderrun has so many status effects on him, your surprised he hasn't just surrendered to the agony. Strangely, Anasael's victory can be owed mostly to the tree she as been in for the entirety of the fight. She is yelling foul things at Cinderrun.

You stealthily make your way through the bustle, reaching the edge of the crowd where you catch a better look at Maconon. That's when you freeze as you realize something vitally important:

You don't know what the fuck you are doing.

Even before the transformation, you've never been one for stealth or intelligence gathering. You weren't even the one who got the information on any of the other contestants. It was Anasael and, at least a little bit, Kain. You've been busy this whole time making sure Anasael stayed alive and putting together this team.

You turn right back around and head to the shadowy corner that has become your group's frequent haunt. Waiting for your Cleric to do what she does best is the proper course of action, you think to yourself.

Anasael is waiting for you there. She looks a little annoyed with her arms crossed and a frown on her face.

"I thought you were going to watch me win?! I did it for you, you know!" She is trying her best to remain respectful, but its hard to hide her disapproval.

"I saw all I needed to." You take a step closer, "Those camera sure can find some.. creative angles." You arch an eyebrow and smirk. It takes a moment for it to register, but Anasael's face goes bright red.

"I meant the battle, my lady! Y-you could have ignored those parts..." She hides her face in her hands, distraught.

"Haha! I'm just teasing you. I was keeping tabs on the fight while I did some legwork for our plan. Mystery Person 14 is on board for a small fee." You wave your hand dismissively and laugh again. Teasing her is almost as easy as teasing Kain!

"R-really? He's not planning anything is he?" Her voice is filled with genuine curiosity.

"Not that I could tell. Mystery Person 14 really lives up to his name. He did, however, say we need to be careful around the other Dark Knight, Maconon. He doesn't trust him. I figured we should, then, gather up information about him. I'm giving that mission to you. You are the most experienced at this type work, after all. I can see to some other task after my next match. Maybe some more recruiting." Anasael nods in affirmation. "Oh and I showed Kain the Personal Netherworld. He's in there training right now."

Before the Cleric can respond, Brynn's voice errupts from the main stage. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WITH THIS WE CLOSE THE SECOND ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT! OF THE 32 CONTESTANTS WE STARTED WITH, ONLY EIGHT REMAIN! ONE OF THEM WILL BE OVERLORD OF POTENTIAL X. BUT THE PATH THERE WILL NOT BE AN EASY ONE.

"FIRST OF THE NEXT ROUND IS CROWD FAVORITE GNEOTHO!" The crowd bursts into cheers at the sound of your name. Its a proud feeling, if you're being honest. "HER OPPONENT WILL BE DAN! THEY MAYBE BE THE SAME CLASS, BUT THEIR METHODS DIFFER GREATLY! HOW WILL THE BATTLE PLAY OUT? JUST STAY TUNED!"

You quickly return your eyes to Anasael. You have time to ask one question before the arena is chosen and you are taken to the battle.

I'm back, boys and girls. Let's continue where we left off.

"Quick, buff me." You command.

"W-what? What kind?" She stammer in surprise, but manages to pull the ladle and readies herself.

"I don't know just something! Anything!" Your eyes are set in stony seriousness as you watch Anasael cast her spell.

"Braveheart!" She calls out softly to not call attention to the action.

>+30 to the next 3 attacks!

You feel yourself being bolstered by the magic just as the teleportation begins. "Thanks, Ana!" You manage to sneak out before finding yourself in the arena.

The terrain is wide and flat. No sign of vegetation of any kind is within your sight. A harsh wind kicks up the top layer of dust from the dry, cracked earth and buffets your armor and hair. Through the haze, you see your opponent.

Dan stands facing you. You are almost unnerved by how identical you are to her. Carbon copies of the same class. Dan is the the first to move. The other Armor Knight walks to you slowly speaking in a low alto tone. Its almost melodic.

"I just want you to know, I've been a fan of yours since your first match. It's been fun watching you fight. And..." She blushes slightly and averts her eyes for a moment. "I'm sorry we have to duke it out like this. Let's make it a real spectacle for everyone back in the Hall." She smiles brightly at you and extends a hand.

Sportsmanship? From demons? How bizarre. You muse over it briefly before you take your chance to draw first blood. You grab Dan's wrist and yank her close. In your other hand you shove your spear forward into the other Armor Knight's side. The strike is true, but her armor is incredibly tough like yours. The spear only creates a shallow wound.

"Guh.. Khhhk!" She gasps for a second, her eyes wide in shock and surprise. "Its... okay... You just want to win, right?" She whispers in your ear. "Your determination is so incredibly admirable. I'm in awe of you~!" She wraps an arm around your waist. Is... is she hugging you? But before you can make sense of it, she places a foot on your thigh and, kicking hard, creates distance between the two of you. Only now do you see the spear in her hand. Its a Pointed Stick... like yours. "I promise I won't be boring! Please give me your all!"

"You're awfully chipper for a demon participating in a life or death tournament! What are you fighting for?" You shout out as you charge forward. You make motions like you will continue with a frontal assault, but, as quickly as your armored legs can, you shift positions making motions to assault her left side. You strike connects, but like before, not much damage is done. Even with the bonus, Armor Knights live up to their reputation as unconquerable bastions of defense.

She gasps again, rocked by the assault, and stagger to her right. "Well... Honestly I came here to fight. That's all I'm good at. But... watching you beautifully destroy your foes, I think I've decided that I'm fighting for you. Fighting for the day I can fight you. That day is here now... so early... Heheheeheehee." She giggles to herself, gripping her spear tightly before making moves at you now. A direct charge with the spear, at first, but... is... is she copying you? A feint from the left again. She's still giggling uncontrollably.

"You fought well, Dan. I wish I could have saved you from this fate, but I have to win." She stares at you with wide, understanding eyes as the corners of her lips pick up. Her body begins fade into wisps. You've won this fight.

As Dan's body disappears like your opponents before, you stand tall. She was tougher than originally thought, but with the enhancement from Anasael, you have triumphed again. The greatest honor you can bestow worthy adversaries is to achieve your goal and annihilate Brynn and take the title of Overlord.

You are teleported back into the Palace's main hall to the sounds of roaring applause and cheers. You see Kain giving you a confident wink and nod. Anasael is smiling at you from the shadowy corner where Tartarus is kept. You even see Mystery Person 14, staring at you with no expression.

You walk down from the stage and subtly motion for your allies to meet in the shadowed corner. Mystery Person is the last to arrive and confirms that none of you are being followed. Anasael chants the incantation to activate Tartarus and all four of you are teleported in. Despite it being his first time there, Mystery Person 14 does not seemed to be as bewildered as Kain was or even you, but then again, he just might be better at hiding it. You decide to start the meeting while Anasael beings healing your wounds.

"Thank you all for coming. Its time to seriously consider our strategy for taking out Brynn and his staff. Once this round ends, it will end up being just the four of us. So, let's convene and share our findings."

"Mystery Person 14 has been investigating what happens to the losers in this tournament. Where they end up is still unknown to us and it bothers me greatly." You fold your hands behind your back and the group looks to its newest acquisition. His red eyes don't waver as he looks directly at you.

"After quite a bit of investigation, I believe the losers are being kept alive somewhere below the Palace. I have not been able to identify the purpose behind Brynn's imprisonment of the disqualified, but it is in my opinion that he fears their reprisal when he ambushes the winner of the tournament. While it doesn't break the agreed upon rules, it is in poor taste. Plus some of them might have had the same idea. That is all, Lady Gneotho." His voice is rough but the report is succinct. "Did you find anything about about Maconon, Anasael?" You ask politely, putting the spotlight on your Cleric.

"Indeed I did, my lady. I believe Maconon is working with Brynn. I've watched him take part in conversations with the Seneschal several times over the course of your match. More than anyone else, even his own staff. I'm not sure if he is aware of Brynn's plan, but the two are probably trying to manipulate each other. It would be funny if he wasn't such a threat. From what I gathered, Maconon's power hasn't changed much after the transformations. I'm not sure if that was by design or sheer luck, but that point is moot for now. He's a dangerous enemy and I am glad you took over this plot before I'd blundered into trying to recruit him." She bows to you at the end of her speech.

Its a lot to take in, but its good that there is one less surprise in Brynn's arsenal now. Between that and the location of the losers, the gears in your head begin turning. "Anasael, do you think you could track down the location of the losers in the Palace depths?" Your Cleric nods, but is unsure of your plan. You turn to MP14 again. "I once heard that Dark Knights innately have the same potential as Overlords. Do you think you could use that strength to break them out?"

Again without missing a beat, he responds. "Absolutely." You grin and turn to Kain.

"How goes your training?"

She laughs and thumps her chest with her fist. "I'm stronger than ever and geared up for an even greater edge." A smirk crosses her face as you nod.

"Here's the plan:

>Kain draws out her fight so Anasael and Mystery Person 14 can find, free, and coordinate with the losers. I'll use the time to rest up, bolster my skills and prepare a trap here for the fight. When we move on to the semifinals, the losers will swarm the main hall and occupy the Brynn's staff. We'll lure Brynn himself into Tartarus where our trap will be sprung."

And Overload Skill it is!
And better yet, I don't have to ask what skill type you want.
Okay then, all Over-mode Transformations have some common traits:
1) A direct physical change to the user's body.
-This can be anything from growing to giant size to an alternate look.
2) Enhanced Stats
-This can be as general as minor boosts across the board to as specific as a single statistic highly increased.
3)Enhanced Skills or Transformation Exclusive Skills.
-This is where probably the most freedom is gained for an Overlord (or potential Overlord). Some can enhance skill to include greater areas of effect for moves while some just give you new and powerful skills that can only be accessed in Over-Mode.

Let's start from the top and work our way through this:

>In Over-Mode, what does Gneotho look like? How does she change?
>>
>>809320
I think it'd be hilarious if it made Gneotho revert to his original body at max+ power. The sexual confusion would be real.
>>
>>809321
Bustier and wider hips, armor turns black, left arm gets a pauldron with a spike.
>>
>>809321
She gets a demon girl body and Enhanced Stats. No unique skills because she isn't strong enough yet.

Because is ironic she looks like she is ten, that's because her body takes a smaller for to use more magic.

Later we could add enlace armor and special moves but she is just an armor knight and we don't have much time
>>
>>809328
I'll support the costume change.
Maybe add a black tiara.
>>
>>809330
I have no idea what you just said, but it seems like you contradicted yourself with the 2nd and 3rd lines.

Also Armor knights don't have magic anyway.
>>
>>809330
That works. I like the idea of the abilities we have in Overload being based on our growth. That means the more powerful we become the more badass our overload will be.
>>
>>809321

Overall increase in all her sexy attributes, armor changes for no reason into succubus-like clothes, maybe even more revealing.
>>
>>809336
While Overload Skill do evolve over time, it is expensive and usually happens after major character events. So choose carefully. Once it is set, it will be some time before you can alter it.

(Personally not a fan of your 'super' mode being an even tinier frame, but I'm trying to be neutral with this. If you're all just wanting more loli characters I'll just make more loli NPCs.)
>>
>>809362

Then I change my suggestion here >>809339 for curvier and black armor
>>
>>809362
I vote curvier.

Maybe have to different modes like that frog from Disgaea 2? Bustier mode augments the already strong points of armor knight and loli makes her more mobile without sacrificing armor.
>>
>>809397
Lol boosts all stats but has a speed bonus?

And Sexy boosts all stats but has defence bonus?

Eh lolu for now anyway
>>
2 for curvy, 3 for loli.

Gneotho's Over-mode initially takes the form of a small child.

Now we move on to stat boosting. Like I said before, typically Over-mode boosts all stats slightly or 1-2 greatly. Right now, Gneotho's full stats are:

HP: |||
STR: |||
DEF: |||
MOV: |||
MAJ: -

Weapon Skills:
Sword: C
Spear: A
Axe: B
Fist: D
Staff: E
Gun: E
Bow: E
Armor: B

Because the Armor Knight class does not use magic, I omitted the stat last time.

For Over-mode Transformations, you have 12 points to spread around at a 1:1 point ratio. You can choose to focus on specific traits or allocate them evenly. These points will be available for Over-mode, which apply over top of your normal stats, even when you adjust those.
>>
>>809397
>>809400
Thats... actually a really interesting idea I hadn't thought of. I'll make a note of it for later when it comes time to evolve the Over-mode.

Also I vote us looking like this in that form.

>>809421
>>809414

With overwhelming support, Over-mode stats are:

HP: |||
STR: |||||||||
DEF: |||||||||
MOV: |||
MAJ: -

Weapon Skills:
Sword: C
Spear: A
Axe: B
Fist: D
Staff: E
Gun: E
Bow: E
Armor: B

All that remains are skills. Again, as stated before, typically skills react in two ways: Boosting existing skills or gaining a new set of skill for the duration of Over-mode. Boosted skills are typically attacking skills with enhanced damage and/or ranges. Creating new skills gives you a full set of powerful skills that can be activated while Over-mode is engaged at the cost of your normal skills. This can, but is not limited to, active-passive skills like the Armor Knight's shielding ability.

We'll start with decide what skill route Gneotho gets.
>Boosted Skills
>Over-mode Exclusive Skills.
>>
>>809433

I don't remember if we even have normal skills at all, so I vote for overmode exclusive lewd skills.
>>
>>809433
Boosted skills. We're bound to get exclusive skills when we get our main protagonist status anyway.
>>
>>809433

Since we don't have any skills worth a damn and Spear is already an A, let's go with >Over-mode Exclusive Skills.
>>
>>809438
Ditto.

>Over-mode Exclusive Skills.

Can we get something that makes us fight better?
>>
>>809436
The Armor Knight's skills revolve around defending others and limiting the damage done by the opposition.
>>
>>809440
And that's basically useless in solo fights.
>>
>>809439
Like [Demon Dirty Fighting Mastery] or something like that? That would be cool.
>>
>>809433
>Over-mode Exclusive Skills.
I don't see the point in having lewd skills as a flat as a washboard loli
>>
>>809450

They are demons, they are prone to silliness and extreme wackiness such as having dark desires for lolis, which would be totally legal because law is chaos and chaos is law for them.
>>
>>809458
And the lolis are actually hundreds of years old.
>>
>>809436
>>809438
>>809439
>>809450

Exclusive Skills, then.

The Starting Skill will set the tone for the Over-mode skills and are usually Passive Skills. Some examples include "regardless of position, attack the same target an ally has done damage to as a bonus" or "able to attack and move 3 times in a single turn"

Duration of the transformation is determined by the power of the move. The latter example being of a Transformation skill that lasts a single turn.

>What kind of Starting Skill do you want?

While you can make suggestions for it, I'll be the final judge of how long the transformation lasts depending on what skill you create.

>>809458
>>809463
That's true, but I never saw the appeal of Etna, Adells sister or Raspberyl. I always preferred the Succubus, Nekomata or the designs for the generic classes.

Have an Alice, will you die for her?
>>
>>809465
How about counter attack on hit? That way we can trade blows and deal damage on an enemies turn.
>>
>>809465
Being able to attack and or move 3 times in a single turn sound useful since we will be going solo.

Triple Attack: In Over-mode stack three times in a row in a single turn.

In this case it would be [TRIPLE ATTACK: SPEAR SLASH]
>>
>>809466

I'm one of the guys who voted for oversexualized mature lady seductress overload mode, but a loli is fine too. If you can't beat them, join them and while I don't find appealing Etna (Tryhard) or Hanako (too childish), I like Raspberyl and hope Gneotho's loli mode is as adorable, yet has an aura of dignity like her.

And sorry Alice, I won't fall for that trick again. Go back with your two dads.

>>809465

Man, that attack three times on a turn was so boss, although I bet that would make the overload last a single turn

Anyways, how about an ability that adds 50% DEF to STR during the player turn and adds 50% of STR to DEF during enemy turns?
>>
>>809476
I like the triple attack idea. Is simple; fits many classes and works with any weapon.
>>
>>809479
>>809476
You're thinking of a skill that strikes three times in one attack, right?

The example skill is canon to Disgaea 5 and is more like having 3 attack phases. Meaning they could use 3 skills in one turn. Hence, why it only lasted one turn.
>>
>>809478
We can use the triple attack as a finisher move and Over-mode lasts minutes anyway.

How about using it just before Over-mode ends?
>>
>>809482
A skill that strikes three times in one attack is good enough, yes. No need to use something fancy like three different skills in a single turn.
>>
>>809482

Yes

>>809487

This works.
>>
I want to take advantage of our gains in Overload mode. Something like "Ice Queen": On hit enemy MOV reduce to 1
>>
Alright let me explain skills in a different format:

You'll have one Passive skill and about five Active (attack/defense) skills.

Options suggested for Passive Skills is a guaranteed counter skill, an alternating stat boost skill, and a debuff-on-hit skill
>>
>>809491
We got no magic yo!

And status effects on enemies would cost too much since we haven't been a class that does that yet.
>>
>>809493
>Passive Skill: Superspeed, by reducing mass due to being into Loli form this overlord speed greatly increases!
>>
>>809494
Over-mode skills are not necessarily dependent on what class you have been. Overloads are traits of protagonist tier demons.
>>
>>809497
But it would make sence that to do something we can't do in normal mode should cost more. While doing things we can already do in normal mode with just a bonus would cost less.

>>809496

Gotta go fast!

>Passive Skill: Superspeed, by reducing mass due to being into Loli form this overlord speed greatly increases!
>>
I guess I'll support the counter skill, consider this a vote

>>809516

>Passive Skill: Superspeed, by reducing mass due to being into Loli form this overlord speed greatly increases!
>>
>>809493
>guaranteed counter
>>
So we got three votes to go fast:

Passive Skill: Superspeed, by reducing mass due to being into Loli form this overlord speed greatly increases!

And three votes for the guaranteed counter.

Could the GM explain the guaranteed counter more? Because I don't think countering a single attack once is that cracked to be.
>>
Sorry for the delay had a wonderful conversation with my father about politics

3 for speed boost (which I'll put it as converting your passive as stat boost to MOV)

two for Guaranteed Counter.

Am I correct on this?
>>
>>809537
Apparently, I'm wrong whoops!

Guaranteed Counter would be that every time an opponent lands a hit on you, you do your base(non Over-mode) damage back to them.
>>
>>809544
Then no thank you. That won't be really useful for Bosses for a long time.

>Passive Skill: Superspeed, by reducing mass due to being into Loli form this overlord speed greatly increases!
>>
With Superspeed, this is how I'm thinking of expressing it:

HP: |||
STR: |||||||||
DEF: |||||||||
MOV: ||| (||||)
MAJ: -

If you have other ideas on its mechanics, I'd love to hear it.
>>
>>809556
How about Speed x2?

Right now it would be slight less but when we increase our stats... woohoo!

MOV: ||| (x2)
>>
>>809561
So the passive skill doubles our base speed? Yeah that works. That way it will never get old.
>>
>>809561
I like it. You're hired.

Here's the Over-mode's stats so far:

HP: |||
STR: |||||||||
DEF: |||||||||
MOV: ||| (x2)*
MAJ: -

*Speed doubled by Superspeed Over-mode Skill

Over-mode Skills:
-Superspeed: Doubled MOV for duration of Overload.
-Triple Strike: Spear Slash
-
-
-
-
>>
>>809569
Maybe a ranged skill that has our spear come back, but Javelin Boomerang or Spear Boomerang sound awkward
>>
>>809569
All Defense (Requires a shield): By planting her feet firmly in the ground and concentrating all her power in defence the Overlord can block a single attack for sure. The shield might get broken of the attack is too strong.
>>
Now we need active skills, if possible some that works independently of whatever weapon is equipped like it happens with most main characters.

Active: Hyper Sexy Beam. A completely original and unrelated with other sexy beams attacks that strikes the enemy's heart (even if they lack a proper heart) and causes the charm status ailment along dealing some damage. Uses whatever is higher between STR and INT And has a piercing (Ignores 50% of target's DEF/RES) attribute
>>
>>809592
so like a single target Balor Gaze?
>>
>>809589
I like this one. Even if we might end ruining a lot if shields with it.

Charm: Doubles the chances to charm the enemy, cannot attack when using it.

Taunt: Makes the enemy focus on you by using insults. x1.5 to taunting the enemy.
>>
>>809592
I'll back this
>>809598
And taunt
>>
>>809598
I like Charm and Taunt.
>>
So...

Active: Hyper Sexy Beam.
Active: All Defense (Requires a shield).
Active: Charm.
Active: Taunt.

Is that okay?
>>
With attacking skills, get don't be afraid to get extravagant will how they work.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTD18pk3aEs

>>809610
Its fine if you're okay with having one actual attacking skill. You'll be relying almost exclusively on it and your basic attack.
>>
>>809611
We could change Charm for something else then.
>>
>>809611
I'm cool with this.
>>
>>809615
Unm...

How about...

Active: Shield Bash: By using all your strength to bash your shield in the enemy head you might inflict the confusion effect besides doing damage equivalent of your current STR plus 20%. Might break the Shield if used repeatedly.
>>
>>809625

Ok.

Active: Hyper Sexy Beam.
Active: All Defense (Requires a shield).
Active: Taunt.
Active: Shield Bash

Shield Bash sounds better than Charm since we have Hyper Sexy Beam.
>>
HP: |||
STR: |||||||||
DEF: |||||||||
MOV: ||| (x2)*
MAJ: -

*Speed doubled by Superspeed Over-mode Skill

Over-mode Skills:
-Superspeed: Doubled MOV for duration of Overload.
-Triple Strike: Spear Slash: A trio of spear strikes (Rolls 3 d100s)
-10,000 Needles: A wall of spears falls on a wide area of effect. (Rolls 10 d100s)
-Hyper Sexy Beam: A concentrated laser of pure attraction. Deals a small amount of damage and charms the target. (Roll 2d100s. One for damage and one for charm chance)
-Armor Bash: Using an Armor-type Item, smack a group of enemies on the head. Deals a small amount of damage to the group, but high chance of confusion. Item might break after skill. (Roll 2d100s. One for hit and one for confusion chance.)
-Taunt: Hurl insults and attract the enemies ire. (Roll d100 for aggro chance.)

>>809625
>>809629

How does that sound. I changed out Shield for Armor since Shields as you are thinking of them do not exist in the game. They are considered Armor Items that can do things.
>>
>>809635
I like it, as long as we do a moe moe kyun type motion for our hyper sexy beam
>>
>>809635
Eh, sounds good but is -10,000 Needles: A wall of spears falls on a wide area of effect. (Rolls 10 d100s) a finishing move? Or what disavantages it has?
>>
>>809648
10,000 Needles is your medium to long range attack. I enhanced the long distance move and made it a little flashier. Its a lot of low damage hits, but it all adds up.
>>
>>809635
Works but I want10,000 Needles explained.
>>
>>809651
Ok.
