You are a mercenary, down on your luck after being fired from your previous company for killing your fellow mercs in a botched mission. with little in your stomach and little in your wallet you have decided to do some freelancing.

if you were here for the previous train wreck of a thread, well sorry about that. i've decided to ditch the drawings and focus solely on writing.

roll a d100, highest roll in the next 5 posts decide what era we are in.

You walk out of a dimly lit bar, smelling of cheap alcohol and blood. The sun burns your eyes as you almost trip on a loose cobblestone.

You have no memory of the night before, only that you've just been fired from the only job that'd been keeping your stomach full. stripped of your uniform and weapons, you have nought but your brains and your brawn to see you through these tough days.

Determined not to let that get you down, you head to the town board where civilians post their various problems and issues, asking for help, you read some of them.

1) Please help me, anyone! Someone broke into my house and stole my favourite dakimakura! 3000 rubles for its return~~~ Please meet me at the 2 lesnaya drive, after 5pm.

2) To Whom it may concern, i have recently been insulted by a colleague of mine. 4000 rubles to the one that can show him that words have a price. Place to meet: Town square, between 3-4pm.

3) All those that wish to proudly serve The Motherland in crushing the insidious Third Reich, be at the Town Hall between working hours. Glory to The Motherland, Victory for Stalin.

You look at the CLOCK TOWER in the distance to see what time it is.

After a minute or so of you trying to remember how to read an analog clock, you figure out it's somewhere around 12:30PM.

The walk to the TOWN SQUARE should take about an hour from where you're currently located.

You loiter around the BAR for a while, eventually scuttling in to grab a drink. The BAR is empty, save the BARTENDER. She gives you a weird look as you order a pint of beer, probably because its 12:30PM. Drinking slowly as you make small talk with the BARTENDER to try and burn time. Unable to drag it out any longer, you down the rest in one gulp and proceed to exit. Turning your gaze towards the CLOCK TOWER, you see it is nearly 3:00PM,

You walk towards to park, observing the various civilians go about their daily lives, scuttling, galloping and flying everywhere, it seems the war effort is going full steam ahead, with everyone trying to get as much done before the RED ARMY moves out to the EASTERN FRONT.

You reach the TOWN SQUARE around around 4:15PM, it's nearly empty save for a few COUPLES in a loving embrace and occasional ELDERLY feeding the WILDLIFEtheir leftovers. You take a seat on one of the PARK BENCHES and wait patiently.

A well dressed BLUE ONI walks in nervously looking around, her business suit looking slightly worse for wear but understandable considering the current events. You approach her and introduce yourself as "The Merc" and having seen her plea for help on the TOWN BOARD, you have decided to help teach her ADVERSARY a lesson.

She smiles and thanks you profusely, her horns getting worryingly close to your face as she bows, a custom you aren't familiar with, maybe from foreign lands. She directs you to APARTMENT 34 at the KRUSHCHYOVKA, advising you to wait at the ENTRANCE at 6:30PM, for that is when her ADVERSARY arrives home from work.

You give her your winning smile, assure her that her ADVERSARY will be dealt with, and take your leave.

You enter the KRUSHCHYOVKA, it is quite dimly lit, almost impossible to make out the apartment numbers. after a while of searching, you find it, APARTMENT 34. Quite conveniently located past a corner, the ADVERSARY won't see you until it's too late.

You daydream to pass the time, wishing you'd bought a WATCH so you'd know what time it was. Halfway through relieving the good old days in your MERCENARY COMPANY, you hear footsteps, heavy thuds echo through the empty corridors. As the LIGHT BULBS shake and rattle in their housings, you wonder if you've bitten off more than you can chew. You have a STINGER that delivers quite a POTENT VENOM and the training you have received should be able to let you handle any 1-on-1 fight, but the slight hangover from the night before and pint you had earlier might not have been the best decision.

Do you fight, or do you run?
>>
>>81389
Fight, also I recommend advertising on qtg, I already did, but that would definitely help
It's also dawn in America so that may also be a factor
>>
>>81389
I say we fight. Although it is most likely a Red Oni, I think we can take her.
>>
wait for 3 more votes or just write the next part now?
>>
>>81442
Write for the next part. Most boards are usually slow around this time.
>>
You tense your muscles as the footsteps grow louder, the smell of vomit and alcohol almost make you wretch, it seems you've found another down-trodden sad sack, strange that you didn't see her at the bar.

You see two horns appear past the wall and you lunge, not eager to let the element of surprise slip away. you tackle the ADVERSARY, which you have now identified as a particularly large OGRE, and bind her with your six legs, pinning her arms to her sides and legs to each other. using your CLAWS to hold the sides, her attempts to roll over and crush you are thwarted. Your STINGER caresses her arms and legs, letting drops of venom fall onto her skin. her thrashing stops and she looks you in the eye, violence and anger the predominant emotions you garner from them.

You move your head next to hers as you whisper into her ear. You tell her that her actions have consequences and that she should be more careful in what she says, and to whom she says it to. A note of recognition crosses the OGRE'S face, a devilish smile and she agrees that she will be more careful next time. You warn her that any further action taken against your EMPLOYER will result in a very painful day for the OGRE. She laughs softly and agrees. A bit unnerved you let her go and quickly scuttle away.

You aren't sure if you've remedied the situation or escalated it, but you did as instructed and you head back to collect your reward.

The BLUE ONI (you forgot to ask her name) sees you and walks towards you. You give her the best smile you can manage, and tell her that the job is done, you warned the OGRE to tread carefully.

Once again, nearly losing an eyeball to her horns as she bows, she hands you the agreed upon amount of 4000 RUBLES and asks if there's anyway to contact you again should she need your services. Remembering that you slept at the MERCENARY BARRACKS while you were employed, you regretfully tell her that you do not... except maybe...you tell her that any message meant for you can be directed towards the BARTENDER.

One quizzical look later and the two of you leave each others company. 4000 RUBLES isn't much, but it's a start. With the idea that you might make a name of yourselves in this town as some sort of vigilante, the future looks every so slightly brighter.

Where do you head to next?
>>
>>81467
To the Town Board, let's see if we have any more job opportunities.
>>
>>81484
Sounds like a plan
>>
You head back to the TOWN BOARD to see if any new jobs have come up. The offer to work for the GOVERNMENT is still there but the job to retrieve the lost dakimakura is missing, probably taken by some other opportunistic comrade.

You sift through the trash, deciding that 4000 RUBLES was not worth the time investment, you cherry pick jobs that pay upwards of 10000 RUBLES, the encounter with the OGRE leaving you confident with your fighting skills.

1) 20000 RUBLE reward, back of BAR, 10PM TODAY.

2) Hello dear madam, I am writing this to inform you that you stand to make a sizable amount of money should you wish to aid me in my predicament. For more information that i cannot disclose in this letter, please meet me at 14TH UDALTOYA DRIVE, before 8AM TOMORROW.

3) Caravan Guard needed to aid in the protection of missiles and their warheads to TSKOV, a town 15 kilometers east. Report to the TOWN HALL between working hours. Note: This is a one time contract and does not affiliate you with the RED ARMY.

You look towards the CLOCK TOWER, barely able to make out the hands. it is 8:20PM.

You decide to take JOB number two, you estimate a 30 minute walk to the DESTINATION. deciding that the drinks you had before the job wasn't a very good idea, you decide for an early night, so you can be well rested for the job tomorrow.

You ask the BARTENDER to wake you up at 7AM. With butterflies fluttering in your stomach as you consider what the future could hold, you drift away.

You are awoken to three loud bangs on your door and heavy footsteps walking away. You grumble at the less than courteous awakening, but at least you're awake. Checking the CLOCK TOWER confirms that the BARTENDER has done as you've asked.

You have a light breakfast of eggs and bacon, downing it off with a half pint of lager, your payment of 200 rubles and take your leave.

It's a nice day out, sun's shining bird-girls are chirping, it makes for quite a pleasant walk.

You arrive at the TARGET LOCATION and knock on the door. to your surprise, you are greeted by the same BLUE ONI that you met at the park! surprise quickly turns to concern as you notice that one of her horn has been chipped and a few bruises discoloring her skin.

She invites you in and introduces herself to you as DIANA SHAROV, after remembering that she hasn't told you her name. You decline her offer of tea and cake and ask her to tell you what happened, although you fear you already know.

She explains that the OGRE found her as she was leaving the park to head back home and beat her up. Saying that getting others to do her dirty was cowardly. She is prepared to offer you 17000 RUBLES for the discrete killing of the OGRE, the expression on her face doesn't make you think that she's joking.

You agree to her request, after all, killing is not something you are unfamiliar with.

She lets go of her breath, you didn't notice that she'd been holding it in, as a look of relief passes over her face. She thanks you in that over the top way that you have come to expect from her and tells you that she was at her wits end, after already having been turned down by 3 other monster girls, all stating that killing was too much.

Damn, you probably could have asked for a higher payment.

You leave her house and head towards the bar, intent on finding the OGRE there and finishing the job quick.

You head back, with a slightly quicker pace than before, heart pumping faster and faster as you think of all the possible scenarios. Would you find her unconscious on the floor, making for an easy kill? Or would she not even be there, as you think back to the previous day, where you didn't notice anyone else with you in the bar. Or maybe -

Your thoughts are cut short as you get spear tackled from the side, your body sent soaring through the air by the ASSAILANT. You hit the ground and immediately the breath is knocked out of you. unable to breath and barely able to comprehend what just happened, you are thrown full force into a wall. Your carapace acts to protect your head from the full force of the impact and you slump down towards the ground. Lacking the strength to move, you lay there in a daze.

The OGRE taunts you, quite amused at the fact that it was you this time that got ambushed. She slowly saunters towards you, still endlessly taunting and mocking you. With the air of a matador, she moves to pick you up once again.

She bends down, arms outstretched.

And you act, like a bolt of lightning your tail whips up and pierces her chest. This wasn't your first rodeo, and sure as STALINS MOUSTACHE, it won't be your last.

Her forward momentum arrested, she can only look at you in wide eyed surprise. As blood drips from her mouth, she offers one last smile before her legs give out and she slumps to the ground.

You remove your bloody stinger from her corpse, making a mental note to clean it before you leave.

The corpse of the OGRE has already begun to necrotise and dissolve, you cut off a hand before you inject more venom into various parts of her body to make sure there's no trace left, you put the bloody hand in your bag, happy at a job well done.

You dip your stinger and claws into the river a few times to wash away the blood and make your way back to 14 UDALTOYA DRIVE.

*A FEW MOMENTS LATER*

You knock on the door and DIANA gasps, she is surprised that you are back so soon. you present the hand of the OGRE to her. She vomits on the floor and manages to stammer out "put it away". Slightly amused, you put it back in your bag and ask if she is satisfied with that the job is completed. Still a bit pale, she nods weakly and hands you your payment of 17000 RUBLES.

You graciously accept.

What do you do now?
>>
also, i do reccomend everyoe think outside of the box, it would make everything more interesting.
>>
>>82134
So are we doing more or are we done for the night?
>>
>>82146
maybe one more, i'm not sure getting sleepy
>>
>>82151
Let's see if those two other jobs are still there. Gotta get some more of that sweet money.
>>
>>82163
Yeah, perhaps we can assist the Caravan Guard
>>
>>82185
sure, ill think about it while i try and sleep, off to TSKOV we go!
>>
You arrive at the TOWN HALL and find it bustling with activity. You find a security guard and ask him where to go to sign up to be a CARAVAN GUARD, he grunts and motions his head to your left, where there seems to be a line of people. It seems you weren't the only one that needed some extra money.

You queue up and after what seems like an eternity it's finally your turn.

The GOBLIN in front of you gives you a once over, smirking as her eyes settle on your stinger. She gives you a form to fill out, with fairly standard questions, and a contract to sign. you don't find anything suspicious in the wording, you sign it and handing it back.

Looking through the form, she smiles and tells you that you have been accepted as a CARAVAN GUARD. She gives you a stamped piece of paper with the heading "ARMORY ALLOWANCE" and points you in the direction of the armory. You head on over.

A gruff MINOTAUR snatches the piece of paper out of your hand as you hand it out to her and informs you that you are entitled to one piece of ARMOUR or WEAPON. She shows you the selection.

1) A simple KEVLAR VEST and HELMET , effective at stopping small caliber bullets and shrapnel.

2) A STAB VEST, effective against slashes and stabs from bladed and sharp-tipped weapons.

3) A SHOTGUN

4) An ASSAULT RIFLE

5) A SWORD

Which do you choose?
>>
>>90926
1 and 3, we're already dead killy in melee might as well get some guns. Also OP I'm pretty sure the USSR wasn't making assault rifles back in the WWII era, not that I mind of course.
>>
>>91408
can only choose one, also woops, change it to a PPSH-41 then.
>>
Rolled 2 (1d3)

>>90926
Hmm.
1. Kevlar
2. Shotgun
3. PPSH-41
>>
>>90926
>>91479
Let's see.
All three weapons are rather close range effective than long range effective.
Kevlar seems the best choice, but the problem is that our natural weapons are melee. The tail's quite ranged compared to most others.
>>
>>91682
alrightaleightalrightalright
last revision to the choices

1) A simple KEVLAR VEST and HELMET , effective at stopping small caliber bullets and shrapnel.

2) A STAB VEST, effective against slashes and stabs from bladed and sharp-tipped weapons.

3) A SHOTGUN, IZH-43.

4) A PPSHI-41

5) A Sword

6) A MOSIN-NAGANT
>>
>>91697
Hmm. Mosin Nagant or Kevlar. I'll go with Nagant for being a ranged weapon and it being fairly reliable.
>>
>>91697
Moist Nugget
>>
>>91697
Nagant
>>
>>91697
You grab the MOSIN-NAGANT and ten FIVE-ROUND STRIPPER-CLIPS. The GOBLIN instructs you that the caravan leaves in 3 days, and to report at 7AM to the TOWN HALL.

Before leaving you ask about the payment for the job. the GOBLIN smirks and tells you that the payment will be settled once the CARAVAN reaches TSKOV safely. An irritated look crosses your face, you expected to be paid up front. She tells you that you could hand her back the FIVE-ROUND STRIPPER-CLIPS and the MOSIN-NAGANT if you don't like it.

You scowl at her and...

What do you do?
>>
>>92063
How much are we getting paid?
>>
>>92120
>>92063
You ask her how much the payment will be.
She smirks again and tells you that payment will be settled on safe arrival of the MISSLES
>>
>>92129
Begrudgingly accept but flip her the finger before leaving.
>>
>>92129
Demand we get payed a significant percentage up front.
>>
>>92139
She cackles like a witch as one of the security guards glares at you. Unsure of whether this is a good plan, you take your MOSIN-NAGANT and the FIVE-ROUND STRIPPER-CLIPS and head back towards the bar, you need a stiff drink after that.
The MOSIN-NAGANT feels familiar and comfortable in your hands, a weapon you have handled many times. You wish you had something better than the your bag to carry your FIVE-ROUND STRIPPER-CLIPS but it will do. on the walk back you realise that fucking GOBLIN didn't include a SLING with your MOSIN-NAGANT.

It's still quite early in the day, do you attempt to spend the three days in the bar like you've done so many times before or...

What do you do?

You walk briskly towards 89 GROTZKA AVENUE, the LEAFLET to join the CAGE MATCH in your bag. your gun draws some nervous looks from the common folk but nothing more, it isn't an uncommon sight in these dangerous times.

The building looks well kept and modest, with some bushes lining the fences. You approach the door and knock on it. Well, you would have if you didn't hear a growl next to your ear and hot breath on your neck. Saliva drips onto your chest and her breath smells like rotten meat.

You slowly turn your head and see a HELLHOUND about 10CM from your face. One clawed hand moving to hold your stinger, the other ready to tear your throat open. You aren't sure if she'd be willing to commit murder in the middle of the day in a nice suburb.

She tells you that this job is hers and to go back the way you came.

What do you do?

Also i have realized belatedly... how the fuck are we supposed to use these guns with claws for hands?

That too could work but it sounds a bit awkward.
>>
>>92448
Well, we could have 2 pairs of fully opposable pincers on each 'hand'. That would in theory allow us to use anything requiring traditional hands to operate. Little awkward to be sure, but it would get the job done.

Her grip tightens, you squirm in her grip. She says that you smell familiar. She takes a deep breath and ruminates. Hey eyes widen as she finally recognizes you.

She reveals herself to be a good friend of the OGRE that you unceremoniously dissolved into a puddle of goo. Your scent rubbed of onto the OGRE during your tussle at the KRUSHCHYOVKA, and that is how she recognised you.

Local LAW ENFORCEMENT found the puddle and identified it as the remains of the OGRE. Enraged and saddened by this news, the HELLHOUND has been looking out for you, and how convenient that you should show up as you did.

You try to get a word in to defend yourself before you are thrown down onto the ground. She kicks you, sending you careening into the middle of the road. Out of breath and disoriented, for the second time, you try to get up onto your feet.

The HELLHOUND doesn't give you the chance.

Picking you up again she flings you further down the street. Your carapace cracks under the repeated trauma, it won't be repaired until the next molt phase.

As she prepares for another bodily kick, the door to 89 GROTZKA AVENUE opens, revealing a FAIRY. The FAIRY beckons to the HELLHOUND, inviting her in.

With one last kick to your stomach, she spits on you and walks away.

Laying bloodied in the middle of the road you re-evaluate your life choices and wonder what to do next.

Silently remark to get revenge.
And since we're not in prime condition for the cage fight. Let's crawl back to the the Town Board and hope to find some new jobs.

And this is why you don't give priority for a roll to a single player or dice.

Take up position across the street with a clear view of the door she just used, and load up that rifle. If we're going to be heading out of town tomorow, we might as well kill off the bounty hunter after us.
>>
>>93023
Let's not kill someone in front of a person we were wanting to get paid for.
>>
>>93023
I thought it was only fair since they rolled highest for the decision, originally i was hoping for 5 people to make a decision and roll for it, but there didnt seem to be that many people in this thread so i kinda let individual people decide, they mostly came to the same decision anyway so that wasnt an issue.
>>
>>93036
I tried shilling in /qtg/.
>>93023
Pretty sure that's going to get us a lot of attention. We should count our losses and leave or attempt to fight her again either with a surprise advantage or being more prepared
>>
>>93036
Hey man, it's your quest, you run it like you want to. It's just in my personal experience, and the general consensus from QMs is that getting multiple people to roll when it is needed is the a good way of evening the odds and engaging the playerbase as whole. Otherwise the narrative gets the feeling of being beholden to the arbitrary and cruel whims of the dice gods, with no way to counter a single unlucky roll.

Either way, don't let me tell you how to run your game if you disagree, just my opinion on the matter.
>>
>>93036
>>93061
Perhaps we can go with best of three until we get more people?
>>
>>93032
>>93050
Just saying, that hellhound is the only individual who could link us with the murder of the Ogre, whom she has a clearly stated desire to avenge. Now that she's identified us through scent, there is nothing to stop her from killing us once she's got this giant contract or informing the proper authorities of our identity, either way I expect her to come after us. Killing the hound before we leave town is risky, but if we can snipe her from a distance before she can pass on that we were responsible for the Ogre then we should be safe. Nobody could link the two crimes after the fact, as I imagine in these present times there are no end of soldiers carrying moist nuggets.
>>
>>93073
She smelled of vomit and alcohol, and we too are common bar patrons. Killing her may result in even worse consequences or be the safer choice.
>>
>>93073
Not really sure whether to go with it.
>>
>>93061
could you elaborate on that, that sounds like what i orignally planned. also, please do give feedback, it just makes this whole thing more enjoyable
>>
>>93130
Well, as a general rule of thumb having a single pre-designated roll be the only accepted makes success statistically far more unlikely and keeps all but one of your playerbase from actually participating in determining the outcome. Taking the best of the first three or five rolls is good way to offset that in a way that encourages more participation and excites the players. Seeing the dice come in and hanging out on the possibility that a last minute roll will save an earlier poor one can be incredibly suspenseful for everyone involved.

I also don't know about having dice rolls select a single vote or write while disregarding the others. Forcing the playerbase to vote or come to a consensus is what I personally find more rewarding. The more power you give to players in determining how encounters pan out instead of an arbitrary number generator, the more engaged they get, within reason. Of course, I'm not a QM, if you want some professional advice about this stuff you could swing by /qtg/ and check their pastebins.
>>
>>93193
well, ok so like my original plan then, except theres only like 3 people here. it could still work i guess so lets try it out!

The latest decision is what to do after getting absolutely thrashed in a fight.

One wants to shoot her as she exits the house, another wants to head back to the TOWN BOARD. whats the decision?
>>
>>93204
Shooting her as soon as she leaves sounds like a bad idea. Pretty sure the fairy would notice.
>>
>>93204
Hope my input helps man, not trying to rain on your parade or nothing, I'm enjoying this quest so far.

And perhaps we could try tracking the wolf, wait until she's left the street at least and then put a bullet in her. Shooting her in the same location she laid a beat down on us not 10 minutes prior is pretty damn sketchy now that I think about it.
>>
>>93215
well, thats implying that the fairy would even care in the first place. she might? or maybe she wouldn;t bat an eyelid
>>
>>93229
>We bribe the fairy the same amount of money she gave to the hellhound

You limp away, MOSIN-NAGANT in hand and bag slung over your shoulder. That HELLHOUND could implicate you with the murder of that OGRE, you need to remove her as a threat. Plus, some good old fashioned revenge is always a nice thing.

You scan your surroundings and eye a slightly dilapidated house 5 houses away. You slowly make your way there and upon arrival knock on the door. You get no response. Peeking through the windows you can't see any activity. You prone behind one of the bushes lining the front of the house and lay in wait for the HELLHOUND to conclude her business.

Not long after you took up your position, the HELLHOUND exits the house. She looks and sniffs around, maybe looking for you, maybe trying to savour the scent of battle, either way, she makes her way back down the street and thankfully not towards you.

You grab your gear and follow her. You make sure to keep a healthy distance between the two of you, a rough visual gauge puts it at around 100 meters.

Everybody roll a d100, does she hear you follow her?

She screams.

You notice that a few curtains get parted as people wonder what that sound was. You think that it would have been a good idea to move the body, but it is too late to do anything about it now.

You move quickly to break her other arm, ignoring her tears and whimpering. She begs for you to stop, but you ignore that to. Her scream this time is short lived, she passes out from the pain.

The way I see it, we have two possible courses of action to choose from.

1. We drag her aside, put some splints on her arms and ask her the nature of the contract. In exchange we could give her a share of the payout and spare her life if she promises not to come after us in the future.

2. Drag her into an ally somewhere and snap her neck with our vice like pincers.

I'm currently leaning towards 2 because I doubt we can tide her over, but I could be convinced otherwise.
>>
>>100827
For 1, we can attempt to befriend her via taking care of her.
She probably has a house unlike we do.
>>
>>100840
I don't know man, she does eat rotten meat if her breath is anything to go by, that doesn't suggest wealth. Either way, we ought to interrogate her for information on the job before we decide to kill or spare her. Let's just get her into an alleyway out of sight for now.

>>100840
Not likely, since we were the one who fucked her up badly and broke her arms in the first place.

You're uncomfortable with the attention you have gotten and decide to find a secluded area where you can finish your business.

The HELLHOUND is a bit too heavy for you to carry in your current state, it's going to suck for both parties but you have no other choice but to drag her.

You walk through to the rougher parts of the area, where the houses give way to apartments.

You are grateful for the apathetic nature of the SOVIET UNION as you manage you reach an alleyway undisturbed.

You find a dumpster, and you let go of the HELLHOUND behind it. No small mercy that she was unconcious for the entire journey.

You stay by her body for some time, the horrid smell of the garbage not making it easy. She beguns to rouse.

What do you do now?

You wait for her to fully regain her senses, immediately her head snaps up to look at you. When she recognises you, she smiles and lets her head drop back down to the floor.

"You sure did a number on me didn't you?"

You were expecting some harsh words, vulgarities. This is a surprise. You nod your head in agreement.

"If you're going to kill me, make it quick. Nice suplex by the way."

You tell her you intend to do no such thing. Yet. Instead, you ask her some questions.

Firstly, you ask her what the job from that FAIRY was.

"She didn't tell me much, just told me to go to the back of the MUNITIONS FACTORY. She was quite curt for a FAIRY. 'Fraid i can't say much more than that."

Secondly, you ask her what her relationship with the OGRE was, why did her murder elicit such a response?

"Fuck off, leave my private life out of this."

You notice her voice faltered ever so slightly.

You ask her where and how she learned how to fight like she does, what experience does she have with this line of work?

"Learned it living on the streets, a harsh life that doesn't support the weak. I learned early how to defend myself against the scum that plague the world. Mostly from watching others get beaten up. As for my experience, you could say i did the occasional odd job here and there. Sometimes they got a bit messy."
She breathes in deeply and exhales. You almost gag.
"you should ask your questions quickly, my head's not feeling to well."

You ask her why her breath smells so fucking bad, why doesn't she brush her teeth

She bears her teeth, wincing as she does it. They're in surprisingly good condition.

Time for the most important question, you ask her if she prefers wearing boxers or briefs.

She smiles slyly, "Why don't you check?"

Not sure if you should feel appaled or if you should blush, you maintain a poker face.

Her face turns serious for a moment, "Enough with these questions, my head hurts and in general so does my entire body, finish me off quickly or leave me be."

This entire dialogue has left you confused, you did not expect her to be so cooperative and friendly. What an odd character.

What do you do now?

You stare at each other for some time, a thought forming in your head. It might be a bit crazy, but you think that there's no harm in trying.

You offer to patch her up and take care of her, provided she doesn't attempt to come after you.

She continues looking at you, with a slightly amused look on her face, as she ponders the question.

"You know, i've never been beaten in a fight before. I should have expected it though, to take down ANNA, you must be a hell of a fighter. You know we grew up on the streets together? I had her back and she had mine. We did everything together. I shouldn't hold a grudge though, a job's a job. She should've known that. Shouldn't have gone after you like she did." Her voice is barely audible towards the end.
Her eyes downcast and her breathing slightly deeper than before,

"you're not going to fix my arms though, I know a doctor. Help me get to him."

What do you do now?
>>
>>103733
Ask her where the doctors is. Drop her off there and head out to the Munitions factory.

Before you help her up, you ask her where the doctor is. She tells you it's a fair distance, around an hours walk from your curreny location at a normal walking pace. You curse inwardly.

Gingerly you put your hands under her armpits to lift her up, before giving her something like hug from behind to get her to her feet. She's panting visibly now, if you let her go now, you doubt that she would be able to stay standing.

After a few minutes of fumbling around, you're unsure of how to support her. You can't drape her arm around your neck, and you doubt that you possess enough strength to carry her bridal style or in a fireman carry. She doesn't offer any advice.

It's getting a bit awkward hugging her from behind.

How do you go about supporting her?

Look around to see if there's anything we can use
>>
>>106325
Can't really think of anything except finding a container to drag her in.

You look around for something to help you transport her. You can't find anything from your current position so you move around the alleyway, walking backwards while dragging her. After some fairly comical walking you find a trolley, it's a bit dirty and fairly beaten up but it should do. You tell her to get on.

She gives you a withering stare.

No words are exchanged as you help her sit on the trolley with her knees tucked in. you place her arms in the space between her legs and stomach. a bit awkward considering the unnatural angle they're at but you manage a workable position.

She directs you on where to go as you cart her around. Progress is fairly quick, aside from some bumpy areas where the sidewalks are not as well maintained.

As you walk, you near an overpass with what looks like multiple camp fires beneath it. She says this is the community she grew up with, the doctor should be in there somewhere. You see movement, A lot of it.

You move behind a bush, unsure of how to continue.

She assures you that no harm will come to you, she'll make sure of it.

How do you proceed?

You quicken your pace. The sound of the trolley as it moves over small pebbles draws their attention. As you get closer you're stopped by a RED ONI.

They eye you suspiciously before their focus switches to the HELLHOUND.

"EVA, what the fuck happened to you?"

She explains everything, leaving out the part that you were the cause for it all, opting to tell them that she got ambushed, and you heard her screams and came to help.

The RED ONI shakes your hand, "Thanks for saving her, we'll handle it from here on out though."

The RED ONI carefully picks her up bridal style and carries her to a BLUE ONI. You see them talk, probably about EVA's current situation, glances are directed your way and the BLUE ONI beckons you to come over.

On the way over, the locals give you a range of looks, ranging from distaste to aggression and suspicion. You get the feeling they don't get many visitors.

The BLUE ONI introduces herself as LUDYA, and the RED ONI as OLGA. She thanks you for saving EVA, mentioning that she has looked after her since EVA was a small child, abandoned on the road as tensions between the USSR and GERMANY grew, apparently unwilling to raise a child in such a hostile climate.

She wonders if you yourself would like to get looked at, she notices your various cracks and bruises.

What do you say?
>>
>>110235
Perhaps later, for now we have a time sensitive job to take care of.
>>
>>110235
>>110251
Also I say we leave on the cart to see if we can use it to get there faster.

we mario kart now. ill wait for a few more replies
>>
>>110235
Yeah, I'm sure we have time to get a check up
>>
>>110491
I'm worried about the job though. It was specifically described as being time sensitive and requiring immediate action, and we've already lost 2 hours on this excursion. I say we come back once we've finished the job, not like the good doctor can do anything for us before then anyway.
>>
>>110500
True, but I feel a bit suspicious about Eva, she might rat us out to them. Also we dont know what the fairy wants except for us to go to the back of the Munitions Factory
>>
what's it going to be lads
>>
>>110625
I guess we can get a check up later.

Not many people are participating because your thread is languishing on the 8th page. Start a new thread, with a flashy OP and I guarantee you more people will show up.
