>Information

This quest takes place long before the events of The Last Airbender. Long before Aang, Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, or Yangchen. You play as a young Earthbender from a small village in one of the many Kingdoms scattered across the main continent. As a powerful villain strives to dominate the world, you will be forced to make choices that can stop it, aid it, or have no effect whatsoever.

>Rules

After each update I make, there will be a voting period of ten minutes. Once ten minutes have passed, whatever option has the most support will be the winner.

Write-ins are accepted, but only when specified If you see a write-in option, suggest whatever you like. If not, choose from the options I have provided.

Sometimes, rolls will be required. I will assign them, and they will operate under a d100 system. You will have three chances, and if one of the rolls succeeds, you pass. There are no crits, but I do take into account how much you succeed or fail by.

I reserve the right to veto certain write-ins, but will try to avoid doing so.

I hope you all have fun

You decide to take a page from the old Airbender's book; doing nothing until you can find an opening.

Sansha readies her sword, and you hope she doesn't intend to actually use them on you. She begins to circle you, and the sparring commences.

Your strategy quickly earns you some easy victories, as you remain perfectly still and wait to see her movements before you counter them. For her part, Sansha quickly learns the importance of being fast on her feet when fighting an Earthbender, and soon enough, your attempts to knock her off-balance or encase her feet become essentially useless. In fact, before too long, Sansha gets her first victory, throwing a sword into the ground between your legs.

You jump instinctively, moving away from the weapon and looking to see Sansha smiling playfully, at least for her.

She picks the sword up from the ground, and the two of you continue sparring for the next hour, until finally it becomes more than you can endure, and the two of you collapse onto the ground in exhausted heaps.

The two of you subjected one another to some crazy tricks and strategies, each of you getting in your share of wins. Just as you learned quickly in your sword training, Sansha has improved rapidly. Still there's a large difference between training and fighting an actual battle, and both of you know that.

Sitting up, you grab the canteen off of your hip, gulping down some water and sighing in satisfaction as the liquid pours down your throat, re-hydrating you. Looking over, you see Sansha lying on the ground, her chest rising and falling somewhat rapidly as she stares up at the sky.

Finally sitting up, she retrieves her own canteen, gulping down some water of her own before wiping her lips and looking over at you.

"Thank you for that," she tells you. "I think that will really come in handy the next time we get into a real battle."

"Hey, it helped me, too," you point out. "But, hopefully another fight's a while off."

Sansha nods. "More time to prepare ourselves is good, but the longer we wait to fight, the more chance our enemies have to grow stronger, too."

She hops up to her feet, walking around to stand in front of you. "We can't let ourselves get rusty, and we can't forget how to fight seriously."

She offers you her hand.

You reach out, taking Sansha's hand and letting her pull you to her feet. She takes a few steps back once you're up, and looks toward the temple.

"This is a peaceful place," she muses. "But, the children here are still taught to fight and defend themselves. The Air Nomads live disconnected from the rest of the world, but never forget the realities of it. They're interesting people."

She looks back at you. "Still, this temple isn't as impressive as I'd imagined."

"They're monks," you point out. "They do things simply."

"I know, but when people used to talk about the Air Temples, they always said how grand they were," Sansha tells you. "This is-nevermind."

"Why don't we find the others?" you suggest to her.

"Alright," she agreed, and the two of you make your way back into the courtyard, looking for the others.

You spot Mauya and Doyu sitting and talking to one another, but see no sign of Lantana. Several of the Airbending groups seem to have dispersed, leaving the area far less occupied than before.

"Lantana's probably gone to see Pengsong," Sansha suggests.

"Kind of," you tell her.

Sansha shakes her head, seeming amused. "Well, I'm pretty sure that I can get us into the kitchens. Follow me."

She leads the way across the courtyard, and to the spot where you and Lantana were told about the Air Temple. Then, she looks around.

An Air Nomad, one who looks slightly younger than Doyu, comes walking by, stopping in his tracks when he sees Sansha. It must be exciting for him to see a girl.

"Hey, can you let us up there?" Sansha requests.

The Air Nomad stares at her for a moment, and you notice your friend becoming annoyed. She clears her throat, and the Air Nomad snaps himself out of it, apologizing and using his Airbending to release a ladder to the upper levels.

"Thanks," Sansha tells him, heading for the ladder and beginning to climb.

You follow, reaching the top and finding yourself in a large, round room. Delicious smells tell you what direction the kitchen can be found in, and you follow Sansha that way, coming to a room where Airbenders of various ages are preparing foods.

Everything from bread to cakes to delicious-smelling meat is being made, and your stomach growls.

"Ah, welcome back, Sansha," one of the Airbenders greets. "You brought one of your friends with you?"

She nods. "Yeah, he wanted to see the kitchens."

"Yep, I was wondering if I could have some dinner," you tell him.

"Of course," the Air Nomad says to you, handing you and Sansha each a plate of fish. "Enjoy."

"Thank you," Sansha says pleasantly, taking her plate and heading to a bench just outside of the room.

Thanking the Air Nomad, you follow Sansha and take a seat next to her, digging into your meal.

It's absolutely delicious! It doesn't take long for you to scarf down your plateful, and Sansha isn't far behind. The two of you let out contented sighs before leaning back against the wall behind the bench.

"Well, that's definitely better than rations," Sansha admits.

"I missed having real food," you comment before letting out an involuntary belch. "Excuse me."

Glancing over at her, you comment that the people here seem to like her quite a bit.

She shrugs. "The old monks just seem like friendly people, but the people our age are just a bunch of dopey guy who have probably never seen a girl before. When we were on the tour earlier, pretty much every guy we passed stopped and stared at Mauya and me with these stupid looks on their faces."

"Are they still alive?" you inquire, knowing firsthand that Mauya isn't exactly the kindest person when angered.

"That sounds good," you tell her. "But, do you think we should get Mauya and Doyu first?"

Sansha shrugs. "Alright. Hopefully they're still in the courtyard."

The two of you return your plates to the kitchen, then walk together to the ladder you used to ascend previously. Fortunately, you don't need Airbending to open the hatch from the top-side, so the two of you are able to put the ladder back down yourself.

Sansha heads down first, and you follow, the two of you making your way to the courtyard, and finding Mauya and Doyu still locked in conversation. As you approach, you can pick up a few sentences of it.

"The best Airbending Master from this temple may have been Laghima," Doyu explains to Mauya as you and Sansha approach.

"What did he do?" Mauya asks, sounding legitimately interested as she leans back against a tree.

"He was able to give up all of his worldly attachments," Doyu explains. "That's something that all Air Nomads try to do, but almost never succeed at. They say that by letting go of everything that bound him to the world, he learned how to fly, and spent the last forty years of his life without ever touching the ground."

Mauya blinks. "Wait, he could fly? Like one of the Sky Bison?"

"That's what the stories say," Doyu tells her. "But he lived hundreds of years ago, so I'm not sure if he literally flew, or it's meant to be poetic or something."

"Sister Superior Rinzen might have decided to start her lessons right away," Doyu suggests. "So Lantana could still be with her."

"That sounds about right," you tell Sansha. "Let's go to the stables."

Mauya and Doyu share a look before rising to join you, and the four of you walk together to the stables, finding that Sansha was indeed correct.

Most of the pens are occupied by the Sky Bison used by the Air Nomads, but one in particular is occupied by an Elephant Mandrill, and a young woman who stands there petting him.

"How did your meeting with Rinzen go?" you ask.

"Did she agree to train you?" Doyu inquires.

Lantana nods. "We're going to start my training tomorrow, for today she just showed me around, and we talked about things."

"Did you tell Rinzen about Kalana?" you ask.

Lantana sighs, looking down. "Yeah."

Doyu looks between the two of you, confused. "Wait, what about Kalana?"

"Rinzen was Kalana's teacher," Lantana explains, and you notice that her voice has a very disturbed tone that she lacked even when the two of you first learned that little tidbit. "I told her what her student's been up to."

"And what did she say?" Sansha asks.

"She said she's going to train me to kill Kalana," Lantana explains.

Doyu's jaw drops with shock. "K-kill her?"

"Well, that was the plan all along, wasn't it?" Sansha asks. "What's the big deal?"

"Air Nomads are taught only to kill as an absolute last resort," Doyu explains. "If Rinzen wants Lantana to kill Kalana...."

Lantana looks at Doyu. "We don't have a choice. Rinzen's told me a bit more about what Kalana might be planning, and we have to stop her."

"Really?" Mauya asks. "It gets worse than conquering the continent?"

Lantana nods. "It might get much worse. Rinzen told me that, in her travels, she came to a great library in the desert, hidden below the sand. It was managed by a wise spirit, and contained information on just about everything. She thinks Kalana will try to find the library."

"What for?" Doyu asks.

"Bending techniques, information that could help her conquer kingdoms, who knows?" Lantana answers. "But Rinzen seems positive that, whatever Kalana's planning, she needs to be stopped."

"Well, stopping Kalana will be much easier once you learn to Airbend," you tell Lantana, who gives an agreeing nod.

"Yeah, that's what Rinzen said," she tells you. "She also told me that if we went to the library now, Kalana or someone else would probably follow us there. She wants to make sure I'm as strong as possible before I have to face Kalana."

"So, what did she show you in the temple?" you ask.

"Probably the library," Doyu suggests.

"Library?" Mauya asks. "Nobody mentioned that to us during the tour."

"We keep it secret from outsiders until they've proven we can trust them," Doyu explains. "I know you guys are good, but I'm not in charge here. I guess Sister Superior Rinzen thought it would be important to tell Lantana about it."

"What was in the library Rinzen showed you?" you ask curiously.

"Scrolls, books, that sort of thing," Lantana answers. "I didn't really have a chance to look at them."

"The scrolls are mostly used to illustrate Airbending techniques, or record the words of old masters," Doyu explains. "Most of our history is kept in that library."

"If that's all it is, then why do you keep it hidden from visitors?" Mauya asks.

"Because it's very important to us," Doyu answers. "If someone bad were to go in there, they could erase our history. We can't just let them do that."

"What about the library in the desert?" you ask.

"What about it?" Mauya asks you.

"Well, did Rinzen say anything about the spirit that watches over it?" you ask Lantana. "They aren't like the last one we ran into, right?"

Lantana shakes her head, and you let out an involuntary sigh of relief. "No. Rinzen says he built the library for the sake of learning, and to help mankind better themselves through knowledge."

Doyu smiles, apparently very pleased with the concept. You suppose that, for Air Nomads, the idea of improvement through learning is kind of important.

"So, did you find anything else out about Kalana?' you ask Lantana.

"Only why she left the Western Air Temple," the Avatar answers.

"Anything we need to know about that?" you ask Lantana.

She shrugs. "The short version is that she disagreed with a lot of the Air Nomad teachings, and broke their taboo about rushing to violence. Rinzen sent her away from the temple until she learned the error of her ways, but you can see how that worked out."

"So, it's Rinzen's fault," Mauya suggests.

Doyu looks at her, seeming shocked and a little angry. "HEY!"

"She sees it that way," Lantana tells Mauya. "So she's training me to help fix her mistake."

"Well, while you learn to Airbend, the rest of us should keep up with our training," you suggest.

Sansha grins, nodding in agreement.

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea," Mauya admits.

"Well, there's plenty of space for training," Doyu tells you all. "Just try not to break anything."

"Don't worry," Lantana says, chuckling and placing a hand on Sansha's shoulder. "I'll go easy on him."

"Please, don't," Mauya requests.

"I'll remember that the next time we spar," you promise Mauya.

The Waterbender smirks at you. "Bring it, stonehead."

There's silence for a moment.

"W-what?" Lantana asks, staring at her incredulously.

"Y-you know, stonehead," Mauya says, looking a bit embarrassed. "You know, because it sounds like-nevermind, go spar!"

She turns and walks off, leaving everyone else somewhat confused.

"I'll be in the courtyard," Doyu informs you and Lantana as he passes you. "Find me when you're finished, and I'll show you where your rooms are."

"Thanks," Lantana tells him with a warm smile.

Doyu smiles in return before heading off.

"Try not to hurt each other," Sansha warns as she passes the two of you. "You both have training to do tomorrow."

Once everyone else is gone, Lantana and yourself head for the courtyard, passing through it and leaving the various Airbenders behind as you step outside of the temple.

"Don't hold back," you tell your friend as the two of you turn to face each other.

"Don't worry," she says, getting into the proper stance. "You won't be getting off that easy."

She gives you a challenging smile, but you also know she's mostly just messing with you; she won't hurt you too badly....if she can help it.

What Sansha told you is true; you pushed yourself pretty hard sparring before. That puts you at a serious disadvantage here, considering Lantana is at least as good an Earthbender as you are.

You decide to open the fight with one of your favorite tactics; attempting to knock your foe's feet out from under them.

Of course, Lantana has sparred with you many times, so she's more than prepared for such an obvious approach, easily avoiding the techniques you attempt to use against her. Her response, however, is also quite basic, as she kicks the ground and punches up, pulling a rock that she then proceeds to punch in your direction.

Of course, you easily move out of the way, and answer in kind, ripping a large chunk of Earth up and spin-kicking it right at her. She punches it, breaking the rock into countless pieces which she then proceeds to hurl at you as projectiles.

"Alright, that's enough for one day," you agree, taking Lantana's hand and letting her help you up. "I'm not looking forward to Sansha saying she told me so later."

You chuckle, and Lantana joins in.

"Don't worry, it's Sansha we're talking about, not Mauya," she reminds you. "You should be fine. Now come on, let's go find Doyu."

Doyu, true to his word, is in the courtyard. He seems surprised that your sparring session ended so quickly, but upon spotting your injuries (and holding back his laughter), he seems to figure out why you called it quits so fast.

He leads the two of you to the upper level of the temple, making his way down a long hallway lined by doors.

"The others are each in their rooms," Doyu tells you. "Here's yours, Sei."

Opening the door, you find yourself in a simple but sizable room, complete with a Pai Sho table and a bed next to a window.

"Lantana, yours is across the hall," Doyu says, directing her toward it.

"Alright then, I'll see you guys tomorrow," Lantana says, heading for her room.

Doyu tells you that he'll let you get settled, then heads for his own room.

You've been spending a lot of time with the girls lately, and they're great, but maybe some guy time would be a good change of pace. Doyu's been travelling with the group, and saved your lives more than once. Spending some time and getting to know him might be a good thing.

Stepping outside of your room, you locate the one belonging to Doyu, knocking and waiting for an answer.

Doyu seems surprised as he steps out of his room.

"Oh, hey Sei, is everything okay?"

"I wanted to know if you want to play some Pai Sho," you tell him.

A smile comes to his face. "Sure, I love Pai Sho."

The two of you head back to your room, taking seats at the table and setting up the board. The two of you are a bit quiet as you do this, but Doyu seems to be in a good mood. Still, maybe you should strike up some conversation.

You nod in acknowledgement, making your first move. "So, do you play a lot of Pai Sho?"

Nodding, you explain to him that your mother's something of an ace at Pai Sho, and you used to play with her a lot when you were little.

Think of all the medical knowledge alone contained in the library. Does anyone ever go there to learn how to heal a pluage, stop an epidemic, or heal the wounded?

No. Its all "how can I destroy my enemies?" And "where can i gain ULTIMATE POWER TO CONQUER ALL!"

War machines, combat techniques, death dealing secrets. If these are all humanity wishes for, then let them have it I say.

Fucking. Ningen.

After spending some time playing Pai Sho with Doyu, you feel that you've gotten a bit better at the game, which you haven't played in years. Looks like you never really forget a game like Pai Sho, however.

>From now on, add 5 to any Pai Sho related rolls you make

Your mood is pleasant as you go to sleep, and being in a beg again for the first time in weeks feels amazing. When you wake up, you feel entirely refreshed, and ready to start your day.

Lantana may be sleeping in, or she may have gotten started on her training already. Sansha and Mauya would probably either be in their rooms or in the courtyard, and Doyu could be just about anywhere.

What should you do?

An urge to visit the library comes over you. You aren't sure if it's due to the history you could learn, or the possibility of learning about Airbending, but you really want to see it.

The first person you can think of that might be able to help you get into the library is Doyu. You head over to his room, knocking and waiting. A few minutes later, a very sleepy looking Doyu emerges from his room.

"Hey, Sei," he greets with a yawn. "What's up?"

You explain to him that you want to visit the library. His response is to blink some of the sleep from his eyes, giving you a curious look.

"How come?"

"I wanted to learn some history, learn about bending, but I mostly wanted to write something," you answer.

"Really?" Doyu asks, sounding surprised. "Okay, I'll take you there and get you the right tools."

He leads you back to the lower level of the temple, out to the stables, and climbs on the back of Gava.

"Hop on," he instructs.

Doing as he says, you soon take to the skies as his bison leaves the stables, flying around the Air Temple, and landing behind it. There doesn't seem to be any footpaths leading back here, so you guess Sky-Bison flight is the only way around without doing some serious climbing.

The stream that passes through the temple grounds ends in a small lake back here, and near the lake, you spot a large boulder, with a familiar-looking mechanism on it.

"I'll let you in," Doyu tells you, heading for the door.

Thanking Doyu, you proceed to ask how you're supposed to get back once you're done here.

Doyu points a short distance away, where you spot a small set of stables, containing more Sky Bison.

"There are monks working here," Doyu explains. "If you ask one of them for help, they'll take you back."

Using his Airbending, Doyu unlocks a hidden door on the boulder, which swings open to reveal a staircase descending into darkness. Torches line the walls, keeping things dimly lit for the two of you.

Doyu goes in first, and you follow, travelling down into darkness until you find yourself in a large room lined with shelves containing innumerable books and scrolls. Various tables are set up around the room, some occupied by Airbenders, others empty, but all seemingly stocked with paper and ink.

"Have fun," Doyu tells you. "I'm going to head back to the temple."

As he leaves, you make your way over to one of the tables, taking a seat and deciding what to write.

Giving it some thought, you decide to write down a first-person account of what has happened since you met Lantana. You make a mental note to keep any of the personal stuff your friends have shared with you out of the writing, but otherwise describe everything in excruciating detail.

The words seem to flow from your brain to the page effortlessly, and as the day passes, you complete a small-stack of your writing. However, it becomes clear that finishing this book will take some time, and you decide to come back and continue working on it tomorrow.

By the time you return to the sleeping area of the temple, it is rather late. You can probably stop at one person's room before going to sleep.

You haven't talked to Mauya much since arriving at the temple, so you decide to pay her a visit. Approaching her room, you knock and wait to see if she answers.

When she opens the door, she seems surprised to see you. A smell catches your nose, and you immediately recognize it as tea.

"I wanted to stop by and see how you were doing," you tell her.

Mauya looks surprised by this, and her expression softens a bit, a small smile gracing her features. "Thanks. I'm doing alright."

Nodding, you look over her shoulder, noticing the tea kettle boiling and releasing its aroma into the air.

"The tea smells great, by the way," you comment. "Could I come in for a cup."

Mauya looks like she's about to say "no" out of reflex, but she glances back at the kettle, then looks at you, giving a nonchalant shrug. "Alright."

She steps aside, allowing you into her room. It looks identical to yours, except her Pai Sho board has been removed from the table, and a teacup has been placed there instead. She produces a second one from her backpack, handing it to you and instructing you to take a seat.

She retrieves the kettle, pouring each of you a cup of tea before taking a seat across from you, blowing her tea before taking a small sip. A satisfied smile comes to her face, and she glances up from her cup, looking across at you.

"So, what have you been up to all day?" she asks, lowering her cup.

It's delicious. Either Mauya just got really lucky, or she has some experience with tea making. In any case, you're glad you decided to stop by.

"I was just curious is all," you tell her. "An ancient library in the mountains kept hidden by the Air Nomads? You have to admit, it's kind of cool."

Mauya chuckles. "Okay, now it makes sense."

"So, what did you do today?" you ask her before taking another sip of your tea.

"I trained with Sansha and Doyu," she answers. "Mostly sparring. Sansha's gotten better, and Doyu's hard to deal with."

You give her a questioning look.

"He's the first Airbender I've ever seen," Mauya explains. "Learning how to fight someone like him is taking time. Sansha's had the same problem. I mean, you remember how much of a problem Kalana was, right?"

I've been Waterbending since I was a little kid, and I'm still not that great at it. And, from what Doyu's said, she had some trouble when he tried to teach her Airbending. We could be here a while."

"Well, what do you think of this place?" you ask her.

She shrugs. "It's pretty nice, quiet. It kind of reminds me of my village. The boys here do get on my nerves, though."

She glares across the table at you. "A bunch of slack-jawed idiots staring at us every step we take all day long, yeah, it's so flattering."

She growls in frustration. "It wouldn't even be so bad if they could keep their eyes on our faces."

Okay, that suggestion isn't going over well with her.

"Well, just try not to kill anybody," you tell her. "Try giving them the cold shoulder, or gagging them like you did with me."

"That didn't exactly keep you from bugging me," she points out.

She gets up, moving to retrieve her Pai Sho board.

"Could I have another cup of tea?" you ask while she's up.

Sighing, she grabs the kettle, pouring each of you a new cup of tea. She then sets up the Pai Sho board. She then sits down, and the two of you play.

Despite being clearly out of practice, Mauya emerges the victor of the game, whether due to luck or you just having an off game. In any case, she seems pleased.

"Sei?" she says, her tone almost nervous. "We could do this again sometime if you want."

You smile back at her. "Good, because I want a rematch."

She smiles in return. "Good, I'll have fun beating you again."

Hey SOM

As always thank you for running!

Any chance we could grab some scrolls on medicine, anatomy, and healing arts from the library for Mauya? Seems like something she would enjoy, but perhaps not do for herself.

Been thinking about airbending as applied to earth bending.

Most earth bending is moving large rocks, and occasionally compressing them. I've never seen an earth bender turn a large rock into sand or dust or pebbels. Perhaps we could achieve that by studying airbending.

After all sand and dust isnt the usual fare of earthbenders. Except for sandbenders. But screw those guys.

Whats the worst nation to live in in this era?

Who in the airbending temple has the biggest crush on a party member, and who is the object of that crush?

we all know doyu wants sei
>>
>>831292
Not sure the monks would want you keeping scrolls

Worst nation is either the Earth Kingdoms, or the Fire Archipelago

That would be telling

For the next five days, you spend the majority of your waking hours working on the book, and spend a portion of your evening visiting either Doyu or Mauy to play Pai Sho. On this day, you have finally finished your book, and are quite pleased with the results.

It's been a little while since you've really seen Sansha. With that in mind, you go to her room and knock on the door.

She opens it, and you see that, unlike Mauya, Sansha seems ready for combat even when she's going to sleep. Her sword is in her hand, though held safely away from you, and she looks at you with a bit of surprise.

The smell of tea comes from her room as well, one thing she and Mauya apparently have in common.

"Sei, is something wrong?" she asks.

"Are you expecting an attack?" you ask her.

She shrugs. "Not really, but I prefer to always be prepared. We're not under attack, then?"

You shake your head. "No, I just wanted to come by and see you. I haven't talked to you much in the past few days."

Sansha looks surprised, but pleasantly so. A smile comes to her face, and her tone is warm when she speaks to you.

"Oh, thank you," she says pleasantly.

"You're welcome," you respond. "Would it be alright if I came in for some tea?"

She glances back at her tea kettle, then looks back at you. "Sure, have a seat, make yourself comfortable."

She moves out of your way and goes to get some tea ready. You can see that, like Sansha, she has removed the Pai Sho board from her table. You take a seat at it, and she brings you a cup of tea, sitting across from you.

"So, what have you been doing the past few days?" she asks, blowing on her tea. "Mauya told me you've been going to the library a lot."

You lie to Sansha, telling her that you've mostly just been doing some reading. She doesn't seem suspicious of that answer, and takes a sip of her tea.

Doing the same, you find that, while tasty, this tea isn't as good as what Mauya makes. Still, it's good, so you drink it.

"What have you been up to?" you ask her.

"Training, mostly," Sansha answers, lowering her tea cup. "Mauya's improving fast, and having an Airbender to practice against is really helpful."

Your performance in this particular game leaves much to be desired, but you absolutely obliterate Sansha, who seems to make every poor decision possible in the game.

"Good game," she tells you, leaning back. "You have a lot of experience with this game, don't you?"

Sansha retrieves your cup, pouring you some more tea before taking a seat across from you once again.

"So, what do you think of this place?" you ask her, blowing your tea before taking a sip.

She looks up, a thoughtful look on her face. "Well, the people here spend a lot of time meditating and preaching about peace and tranquility, but they also spend a lot of time training for battle. It's strange, but I sort of like it. They want to live in peace, but don't forget about war."

She sets down her cup. "And, almost everyone here is a guy. This place is almost an opposite of my village. There's less space outside to explore, and there's less going on. Still, it feels safe, and nice. I kind of like it here, even if it feels weird."

She scowls, picking her tea back up. "But I sweat I'm going to stab one of the boys here soon."

"Goodnight," she tells you as you head for the door.

After another restful night of sleep, you wake up feeling refreshed. Heading for the courtyard, you find Doyu already wide awake, but no sign of Sansha or Mauya.

Kneeling, you punch the ground and allow rock to rise and coat your body. In seconds, your entire body is covered in stone armor, making you much better defended from attacks.

Doyu, realizing too late what you're attempting to do, throws a quick wind-blast in your direction, trying to disrupt your concentration. But, the effort is too little, too late, and you rise back up, fully armored and ready for battle.

"Well, that should make it harder for me to do much damage," Doyu admits, seeming both worried and amused. "But I've still got plenty of tricks up my sleeve."

What would be the DC to launch a stone fist thats attached to our armor be? Basically something like a rocket fist, except it's still attached to our armor similar to the changes the hunter had on his swords so we can easily change the direction and maybe the shape of it in midlaunch, but with at the cost of the arm where the stone fist was launched being exposed.

Doyu probably isn't bluffing. You've seen how Airbenders move, and if you can't catch him, you can't beat him. If you can't land a hit, he could simply wear you down over time. The best way to win this battle is to immobilize his legs.

Stomping forward, you make the proper arm motions, and the ground at Doyu's feet begins to rise up around him. He springs up, but before he can escape, the rock solidifies around his legs, rooting him in place a few inches off the ground.

"Oh, come on!" he groans.

With a few more movements, you encase most of Doyu's upper body, restricting his arms and making him essentially unable to move anything but his head.

"Do you give up?" you ask him.

He sighs. "Yeah, I guess so."

You free Doyu from the rock, and he falls forward to the ground. Not long after, Sansha and Mauya join in, and the rest of the day is spent training.

Nighttime rolls around, and everyone heads for their respective rooms.

When you arrive, you see that the creature is indeed up, and that someone is with him.

Lantana is awake, and looking less beaten up than the last time you saw her. She stands with her pet, hugging it and gently petting it as it nuzzles her.
