You sit at a table next to Asuka and Shinobu. You considered sitting with them, but they seem to be talking now, and you don't want to insert yourself into Shinobu's attempts to make friends.

Tiffany is still eyeing you, though she lets you take your time as you describe the events of your first mission, ending with Kia eating the Kishin Egg's soul and your return to the DWMA. As you tell the story, you can see her normally languid half-smile widen, and she even giggles when you describe how you blocked all of the goblin's thrown daggers. She's slowly eating, but is obviously very interested in your tale.

"... so we ended up back here. I'm just glad we weren't hurt." You finish your summary. "How does that stack up against the rumors?"

Tiffany shrugs. "The rumors ranged from the dull, that you sat back and let the other students do all the work, to the fantastic, that you killed both Kishin Eggs yourself without your partner. The truth, however... is much more entertaining. I'd like to hear more about future missions, if you please."

You'd think she was ordering you to, but she sounds so... calm about it that you aren't sure. "We'll see when I make it there. This was a special case, I think. Right time and opportunity."

Tiffany giggles again, covering her mouth with her hand. "I'm sure you completely showing everyone up at the combat trial had nothing to do with it."

You shrug. "Well, whatever the reason, we have classes in a few days..."

"Why are you so interested in hearing about the mission?" You frown a little. She's... a bit fixated. "I mean, we won't be going on them for a while... but you could always ask the older students about theirs."

"I fully intend to. I'm just very curious about these things." Tiffany seems to lose her focus for a second, her eyes sliding off of yours and focusing beyond, but only for a moment. "The more we know, the better, right?"

She's definitely not telling you the whole truth here. You consider how to press further when she stands.

"It was nice to formally meet you, Tony. We'll have good fun together, I'm sure." She takes her plate and heads off to dispose of it. You look at her retreating form for a second (because come on, you're 16) before looking over at Shinobu and Asuka... and they're leaving too.

You yawn suddenly. You're pretty damn tired, and it's been... well, not a long day, but an interesting one. You'll probably be all right after an early night's sleep. You make a mental note to talk to Shinobu soon as you head to your room.

You remember, as you're gripping the doorknob to your dorm, that there's a problem. This thing is still broken... except when you turn it, expecting to be stopped short, the handle turns smoothly open.

On the bed is a note, barely legible: "Hey man, I reported your knob problem to Braun. She got it fixed. Call it thanks for helping me with my girls. -Robert"

Oh. That's... rather nice, even if he's a little weird. Guess you're all a little weird.

You lie in bed, exhausted, and drift off... your sleep is dreamless.

The next few days are a flurry of activity. You're taking the time to get used to the school, doing basic exercises, and learning about what's expected of you as a student in the EAT program. It's all pretty basic stuff, like... what dorm you'll be assigned to, not to go into the opposite gender dorms after dinner, where important shops are, and so on.

You also receive an envelope with a large sum of cash in it: 2500. 700 is your monthly stipend for being an EAT student, but the rest is from your mission. This is more cash than you've had... well, ever. Considering that rent and food is free, barring any extra you might want or specialty items... This is pretty damn awesome.

------------------------------------------------------------------

All right guys, I gotta take a second to talk to you all directly here. I run a fuzzy RP system here, mostly based on rule of cool and Soul Eater conventions, but I have some stats for Tony you should all see. Everyone has stats, but there will never be a bonus or penalty to rolling for them. I primarily use stats as a gauge against other students, enemies, and so on. Without further ado, heeeeeeeere's Tony:

---BODY STATS---
STR: ++
SPD: ++++
STM: +++-
---SOUL STATS---
SOUL: +-
WAVE: ++-
---MIND STATS---
INT: ++-
EGO: ++

Now, what does this mean?

Body stats are your physical abilities. Humans with locked Souls can only get up to a maximum of 5, but you can get to 10 as you are. Strength is physical power, Speed is agility, dodging, and running speed. Stamina is physical health, resistance, and (importantly) how much you can squeeze your Soul for extra juice when you run dry before collapsing.

Soul stats are straightforward as well: Soul is the "size" of your soul. Basically, how much power you have capacity for, and how fast it recharges. Wavelength is how much OF your soul you can draw on at once. Having your WAVE be higher than your SOUL means you could possibly kill yourself if you go all out too much.
Mind stats are an odd duck. Intelligence is both book learning and deductive reasoning, averaged out. Ego is... well, the long answer it's your sense of self and your willpower. In game terms, if you're being affected by mind control or a Madness Wavelength, this helps you resist it. Also, if Tony starts casting magic, he will need this to resist the Pull of Magic that witches deal with.

With me so far?

>>825511
Sure.
>>825541
Technically, but Death City is it's sort of own pocket dimension (in my canon, this makes it easier to traverse the globe, as you can use dimensional fuckery to get to places faster, and it also explains why a bunch of witches don't just infiltrate all the time).
>>
>>825562
Also, the stat points:

+ is 1 point. a - is like a half point. You don't benefit from it, but is shows progress to a new point.

Great!

I don't like making things complicated.

With all that in mind, we have some training choices here.

It's hard to train Ego, because you can't just decide you want to self-actualize more. It takes time and other factors. All else is able to be practiced and worked on.

So, let's see what people want.

>Work out at the gym, minor gains in all Body stats
>Study. moderate gains in INT.
>Work on your Soul stats alone, as best you can. Minor gains.

Also!

>Spend free time primarily with (Name up to 2)
>Look into getting a condo with Kia (and Shinobu?). Will require a part-time job to maintain.
>Work out an outfit. You have the cash to make something really cool.

Also also!

>See about a job at Deathbucks
>See about a job at that weird mushroom place
>See about a job -not likely- at Chupa Cabra.

Writing!

Stat changes:
SOUL: ++
WAVE: +++

You can now attack with your Wavelength directly, amplifying attacks drastically. However, you are helpless after such a move for a while, only able to stand there and pant for several seconds, as your soul is overextended. If you do this and try to take action immediately, it will require a roll, and that could end... badly. Just letting you all know.
>>
You train your soul abilities. You feel like you must be lacking there, somehow, after seeing Robert's gigantic one, and Oke's island-sized one.

It's slow going, but you manage to learn to channel your soul directly into an object, just for a moment, as you touch it. You shredded a piece of paper with a fingertip, and blasted a training dummy off it's (fairly heavy) feet. You always instantly feel exhausted after doing so, though, and even need to sit down. You aren't confident about using it in combat as anything other than a finisher.

You hang out with Kia and Shinobu a lot while you recover from training. They're doing a lot of their own: Kia is doing similar training to you, while Shinobu is hitting the gym pretty hard, usually going with Asuka and learning how to properly train herself. During this time, you learn a bit more about them: Kia's dad is always trying to coddle her, but her mom is much more realistic about her future and was responsible for her training back home. Her parents also don't seem to be around each other much lately. Her mom's other partner, an armored gauntlet, is named Shannon, and Kia strongly suspects that she wants to be with her dad. Shinobu, meanwhile, lived with a VERY overprotective family, as the youngest of three. Her oldest sister was the perfect housewife-in-training, doing a lot of cooking, cleaning, mending clothes, and tending to her sister's care a lot of the time. Shinobu likes being around her a lot, though she moved away to study abroad not long ago, and her parents won't shut up about her.
Meanwhile, the middle sister is a prodigy at everything she tries: Math, sciences, arts, fencing, archery... and she knows it. She used to get along with Shinobu, but as Shinobu fell behind in every way except for academics, they grew apart.

In addition, you use part of a day to head down to Dressed to Kill and do that job interview... and find that it becomes a matter of "can you not piss people off and lift heavy boxes of fabric?" You are offered reasonable hours on the night shift, so you have to go 5 days a week after dinner to tend the store. This is when the boss, an older former Meister named Trevor with a sour face, usually does his tailoring. You are to make sure he is not disturbed, and do your best to push the custom options for people.

Finally, the first day of classes arrives...

----------------------SESSION PAUSE-------------------

I'm going more tomorrow morning. I wanted to get to this point tonight so we can be where I wanted to be at the end of last week. We're gonna learn what being an EAT student is all about, as well as meet other students! Who will pair with who? Will some other Meister or Weapon come between Kia and Tony? Will Grayson ever have a shot with Asuka? Maybe! Depends on you guys. I appreciate the support and I want you all to know I'm having a blast writing this for you all.

Kia is settling into her role as Tony's main weapon. She still holds onto his arm whenever possible.

Shinobu has heard about the idea to get a place with you and Kia. She isn't opposed, but feels like she's being taken care of a bit too much. She wants to help.

Robert gives you a small thumbs-up whenever he sees you with Kia and Shinobu. You feel slightly scummy every time he does.

Grayson thinks you rock. He used the training room after you knocked the dummy around, and saw the dent. He also has yet to get Asuka to talk to him.

Asuka is SUPER SUPER focused on your progress. You are The One To Beat.

Tiffany is very very interested in you. She dreams of the blood you spilt.

Layla is busy dealing with what she is able to.The time approaches.

Miss Braun is investigating a group of NOT students said to extort others.

Mr. Satoru is preparing a lesson plan with Oke's advice.

Lord Death is concerned with London. Kishin reports have ceased... which is always unsettling.

Part time job together? Point out how his soul is fucking huge but he lacks the will to use it?
>>
>>826043
Grayson is the blue-haired muscle boy who wielded Asuka in the combat test. You're thinking of Robert, who is a kukri wielded by Tiffany in the combat test, but she immediately dropped him and fought on her own.
>>
>>826049
Ah, point. Point out he's strong as an ox just needs someone a bit smarter to help direct him?
>>
>>826061
You could try.

You have many options here. That's the direct approach. You could have Kia (your most social female friend) find out more, or Shinobu could too (they're already talking). Or, there's... less direct methods to get her interested, that I won't draw out for you because they'll work VERY well.
>>
>>825954
Welp, Tiffany is definitely giving off psychopath vibes.
>>826084
I wonder if she'd be interested in the fact that Grayson met a witch and lived. Then again it's easily possible he would have already bragged to her about that to try and get her attention.
>>
>>826084
Couldn't we just throw a sparring match with him? I mean, I'd love a rival as much as anyone, but Grayson would be eternally indebted to us.
>>
I'll be honest I really can't see the reason people want to get Asuka with Grayson so bad. If she doesn't want to partner with him I would respect her wishes. Especially if we have to manipulate them into being partners which if Tony feels pretty scummy everytime Robert gives him a thumbs up then this should make him feel flat out skeevy.

There is a difference between trying to setup people up and literally trying to force them to be together.
>>
>>826503
That would really be going over the line I think. Asuka isn't stupid, and Grayson would probably feel like shit if he figured out we thought we needed to throw a match with him just to make him look good.
>>
>>826585
Its the differance in trying to help out a bro whos going for a girl and a neet whos jacking it to the idea of us having a harem
>>
>>826608
What's the point it stops at though? Because it's really starting to seem like anything goes because 'bro'.

How many times to Asuka have to say no before people get the picture. Hell if Kia had been doing this after she asked to be our partner and we said no you guys would be pissed as fuck and say instant worst girl status.
>>
>>826503
No way are we throwing a match
>>

>>
>>826630
Honesty, we need to get grayson and robert to team up
He's basically our blackstar, and robert's the perfect way to help him develope his soul skills
>>
>>827207
Also, calling it now, tiffany's gonna ve the first one to give in to madness
>>
>>827207
So what you're saying is we should try to convince them both to quit looking at this place like a dating site and more like an actual job.
And focus on actually trying to do the job over "muh girls".
>>
>>827248
Exactly
And yes, i realize the hypocrisy
You have to admit though, kia, shinobu, and tony just work well together
We should still talk to asuka, with the way this world seems to work, her ambitions may lead her down a bad path, best to have her as a friendly rival instead of a potentially dangerous enemy
>>
>>827271
Well given that we've been on all of one mission, yeah. I figured we'd have time to hang out with Asuka later, but maybe earlier is better so she doesn't get too wrapped up in her own head.

I think we should try to talk to Asuka and Tiffany both honestly.

On the one hand at least Asuka seems to be opening up to Shinobu a bit, and I think Tiffany could use people around; which she doesn't seem to be doing much on her own for whatever reason.

Add in pointing out that Robert is actually really powerful to Grayson, and help get Robert out of his shell.

I think Robert and Grayson are both fine where they are if they just tried.
I feel like Kia and Shinobu are probably on some level just genuinely decent people.
I feel like Tiffany and Asuka have competitive streaks and/or destructive urges the size of Robert's soul and could likely do with us trying to help them temper that.
Plus hey, attempting to befriend the shit out of Tiffany gets us another Meister to train with.

So my plan is to use our two friends to try to befriend the shit out of the two that seem to need it them most, while hanging with Robert occasionally and talking.
>>
>>827271
>>827375
tl;dr: befriend the two varying levels of crazy bitch we have. Train with 'em when possible. Also Robert's a cool guy for levels of cool, and we should help him a bit to be less awkward.
>>
>>827375
>>827383
Yes, but i also think that, until they mellow out, we shouldn't try to have tiffany and asuka anywhere near each other
Tiffany's bloodlust + Asuka's desire to be the best= A kishin waiting to happen
>>
>>827415
Which is why we initially set her up with Kia or Shinobu if we're training together. Not Asuka.
>>
Posting soon guys.

I think this is the first player argument we've had. Does that mean I'm doing well? All the great quests have this.

Now I just need drawfriends and I'll feel like this is actually decent.

You file into the classroom alongside Kia and Shinobu, and take a seat next to the shield-type weapon. Kia promptly plops down next to your other side. You sigh and flex your fingers. Getting that soul-channeling attack move to work has been rough, and it's not even ready yet. On the plus side, you feel like you could fight longer without getting exhausted.

Tiffany seems to already be here, with that weird smile still there in it's usual place. She locks eyes with you for a moment before spacing out again. You see people you don't recognize coming in as class nears its start time. First, there's a black boy with cornrows and a suit on instead of his training gear. You wonder if he's trying to show off. Next is a small-ish, pale boy with short brown hair. He doesn't look around the room at all, scurrying to the closest seat to the door. Steven is next. He looks... less pissed off than normal. You wonder to yourself about what he's been up to. Lastly, there's a tall-ish girl with green hair that... is making a beeline to Kia. You also note, with your 16-year-old thought process, that she's rather flat.

The green-haired girl leans down to look at Kia... very closely. She's completely invading her personal space here. "Awww you're so cute and little! You're like the mascot of our class!"

Kia blinks and backs up slightly. "Mascot?"

The new girl nods excitedly. "Yeah! Mascots are supposed to be adorable and lift the spirits of their classmates! You look like you'd fit that perfectly!"

Kia smiles a bit, but is still leaning back. "Well, I'd like to think people feel SOMETHING when I'm around..."

You can't help but mutter, "Usually confusion or irritation." You receive an elbow to the side from Kia and a muffled giggle from Shinobu for that. Worth it.

Kia continues to smile, her apprehension lessening. "So, I'm Kia. What's your name?"

The green-haired girl straightens up. "I'm Emi! I'm a Meister and I'm gonna be the best one ever!"

Grayson has taken a seat nearby and responds to this statement. "Gonna have to beat out Tony here... and me, of course. I'm the top of the class!"

You hear Asuka's voice from across the room. "No, you aren't."

Huh. So she's reacting to him now. That's progress.

Grayson is about to retort when the door opens and Robert strolls in, followed immediately by Mr. Satoru. He heads to the desk as everyone settles into their seats.

"Welcome, all of you. We have a smaller class than we normally do. In a lot of cases, we'd want to wait for at least 15 students before we begin teaching, but there won't be another batch for a long while, so we're going ahead now. Get to know the others in this room. They will likely save your life someday."

He clears his throat. "All right. I'm looking around, and I can see that none of you are ready to face a Kishin Egg alone." He locks eyes with you for a moment... You get up and head for the front of the room. You have an idea of what's about to happen, but you figure running away from getting your butt kicked isn't going to do you any favors.

As you expected, Grayson is flying down to the front, as is... Emi, of all people. All of you are Meisters, too. Perhaps the weapons aren't confident enough?

"Wonderful. Now, I'll explain what I want. I'm going to assign you a partner. You're going to take that partner, and hit me as hard as you can."

You blink. You expected this, but to hear it so plainly is still off-putting.

"Grayson, you'll partner with Melvin." The brown-haired boy gets up and approaches Grayson warily.

"Emi, you'll get Robert." You hear a sigh as Robert starts to get up... but he's too slow. Emi DRAGS him to the front, practically bursting with excitement.

"Tony, you'll be with... Asuka, you're up." She approaches the front without hesitation. Grayson looks at you curiously for a moment. You shrug in response.

"Okay, let's see what you can do." Mr. Satoru leans against the front desk with his hands in his pockets.

You watch as Asuka glows, shrinking into that Katana form you've only seen once before. You grasp her handle as she finishes, noting again that she has a very plain design for being as intense as she is. Black on black handle, dull gray blade.

You focus your wavelength into Asuka, and feel her respond... but it's not that burst of strength you felt from Kia. You can tell she's trying, and the connection is solid enough, but it isn't like wielding Kia, or even Shinobu.

"Connection established. Can you read me, Tony?"

"Yeah, I hear you. I'm not used to using a long blade, so forgive me if I'm a bit clumsy here."

"Understood."

You can feel.. something odd about how she's talking to you. She isn't as sure of herself as she normally is. Maybe you can pry into that sometime.

You see that Melvin, the small shy boy, has become a long sword. The blade is thinner than you'd expect, but looks average in most other respects, like looking at a picture of a knight in a book. Meanwhile, Emi is holding Robert's kukri from...

"Hey, you're holding back! Come on, give it to me! I can handle it! What do you mean, lewd? Just do it already!"

She doesn't seem to know about communicating silently yet...

Suddenly, she jolts upright, but doesn't seem to be in any pain. Judging by what Robert told you before... she's probably able to handle his wavelength. Impressive. Mr. Satoru seems to think so too, as he cocks an eyebrow at her.

"If you kids are done...?" He pulls a cigarette out of a pocket and puts it in his mouth. He makes no move to light it.

You decide that your connection to Asuka could be better. "Hey, Asuka, what's the matter?"

You feel her tense up. "I don't understand what you mean, Tony."

"Yes you do. You're way too tensed up. We have a link, but it could be better. Talk to me."

You see Grayson fly forward at Satoru, yelling. At the last moment, your teacher leans juuuust out of the way. The long blade becomes stuck in the wood of the desk. As Grayson tries to yank it back out... Satoru disappears. No, that's not quite right... he just moved so fast you didn't catch it. His head impacts Grayson's nose, sending him sprawling to the ground. He doesn't move.

Suddenly, Emi is behind Satoru, with a quick slice at his back. Satoru manages to leap straight up, lightly kicking off of Emi's head and landing on top of the desk. Emi rubs the spot he hit, and grins. "I see now. You're a speed-type, aren't you?"

Satoru shrugs. "You tell me."

Asuka speaks. "I'm fine. I'm not going to be a disappointment this time. Just wield me."

There's the issue.

"No."

"...What?"

"I'm not going to fling you around like a regular blade. We're a team right now, and that means you have agency in this. Watch my back, offer advice, and focus on amplifying our wavelengths." You pause for a moment. "And stop worrying about getting shut down in the last spar. Grayson is a hothead, as we just saw, but his strength is real. He just needs to use it properly. You did fine."

You can feel Asuka relax, if only a little, but the flow of energy increases greatly. This is much better.

You decide to see what Resonating with Asuka can do.

"Hey, Asuka, give me everything you've got..."

"I under- LOOK OUT!"

You manage to duck and roll out of the way of a sweeping kick aimed right where your face was. Satoru slowly puts his leg back down. "Tony, I thought you fought smarter than this. You haven't moved yet. I'm not stupid."

Satoru leaps over Emi again, who seemed to be attempting to grab at his clothing from behind again. She likes those back attacks.

"Tony, I don't believe we should stand still anymore. He won't let us have any more time, and I doubt we can win if we let Emi be knocked out."

You tighten your grip. "Yeah, let's take the fight to him. Ready?"

"Affirmative."

"You could just say yes, you know." You push wavelength into Asuka, and she bounces it back, and then you direct the amplified power into your legs. Letting it explode, as Akemi taught you, you fly towards Satoru, ready to cut at his face. He bends backwards as you shoot past him, and you can see, for a frozen moment in time, his eyes lock with yours and a wild grin on his face... and then you're behind him. You look back... he is unharmed, and he looks bored again, but his cigarette is now an inch shorter.

"Not a bad strike."

>Continued
>>
Emi comes in low, rolling perpendicular to Satoru's legs and sweeping at his ankles. For such a tall girl, she can really get to some odd angles. Satoru leaps lightly into the air... and comes down on Emi's back with both feet. There's a cracking sound as he lands. Emi cries out, but manages to wiggle away. She takes a spot next to you, panting.

You look at her. "Are you-"

"Before you ask, that wasn't a break, just cartilage popping." She grimaces. "Still hurts. Wanna strike together? I'm not holding anything back this time."

You nod and activate your Soul Boost again. You and Emi both launch towards Satoru, rearing back for a simultaneous cut...

And he shoots forward, arms outstretched like a religious icon, and slams his forearms into both your necks. You can feel the world spin as you smack into the floor, headfirst, and you hear Emi impact the desk. You manage to struggle to your feet, feeling very dizzy. You feel like the back of your head should be bleeding from the impact, but it's not, somehow. Emi is slumped against the desk, upside down... and her panties are fully exposed. You file that away to appreciate later.

Satoru smirks at you. "Not a bad plan, but you shouldn't state your plans plainly like that. You're alone now, Tony. Still want to go?"

It's clearly a training exercise, it's not in-character for Tony to be a hothead.
He's smart and pragmatic, he knows there's nothing to be gained from revealing the witch boost, and we can't win without it, so we should give up.
It's not shameful to know when you're beat.

>Hiding the Witch Soul from the guy who can see the souls of his students.

Alright Anon, Sure. Its not like he would be watching the connection between weapons and wielders or anything of that nature.

>>828428
The Teacher told us to do a thing, As of yet to date I've yet too see tony not follow through with what he was told to do. If that's being hotheaded well fuck me then.
>>
>>828451
>Hiding the Witch Soul from the guy who can see the souls of his students.

No I mean more along the lines of DEATH asking us to not use it for now, and Other students attacking us for having one, which is a possibility the QM has said is almost a certainty once it gets out.

Death> Teacher anyways you cock gobbling retard.
>>
>>828451
We're not just hiding the witch soul from the teacher dude, but from the other students. Death himself explicitly told us to keep a lid on it, that trumps a simple training exercise. Tony has a sense of proportion more than a sense of blind obligation.
>>
"You know what, nah. I don't want a broken bone this early into class." You lower Asuka and breathe in deeply.

Satoru shrugs. "Well, that's fair, I guess. Go get Emi and Grayson to the nurse, if you would."

Asuka immediately transforms back and heads over to Emi. "Tony, please handle Watari. It wouldn't do to have a man's hands all over a young lady like Emi..."

Robert has already headed back to his seat by the time you look up, and they small boy... Melvin? Is just sort of standing there. You decide to lift Grayson's muscly body up onto your shoulder and head for the door.

"Oh, Tony, Asuka, take a paper off the desk... well, off the floor behind the desk now. It's a transcript of what I'm about to lecture on. Don't want you to miss out."

You see Asuka grab four papers, and you begin the slow march to the nurse's office. Luckily, it isn't too far.

Asuka speaks halfway through the journey. "I think what you did was smart. Without a trump card like Resonance, we couldn't have reasonably hoped to win."

You actively avoided using your Witch Boost during the fight. Would you have won if you had used it? Probably, with that strike that split his cigarette, but... you haven't actually practiced it.

"Yeah, but at least I didn't make an idiot out of myself. That last hit hurt like hell, though."

"Tony, it... was nice, working with you. I can see why Shinobu is so taken with you."

What.

>"Taken with me? We're friends, nothing more."

>Explained reasoning
>Didn't like said reasoning and therefore was never thinking about it.

Only the Teacher has dealt with Witches before and the odds are none of them have done soul rens as of yet due to how hard it was stated to do in an earlier thread. She could've said she felt that and we could've said it was soul Rens. Nobody unless the teacher shouted 'witch!' would have a reason to believe otherwise.
>>
>>828503
Except Soul resonance demonstrably changes the appearance of the weapon. IF witch soul did that it'd be solely on our part which would hurt Asuka. Additionally you seem to conveniently ignore Death, our boss, the Madness of Order, and guy who's likely watching us right now since we're in his soul, telling us not to use it. There is zero reason to use this in a training spar.
>>
"Taken with me? I'm flattered, I guess." You scratch a cheek with your finger. "I just tried to be a decent person to her. You pause. "What did she say?"

Asuka sighs. "I'm not spilling a girl's secrets. Ask her yourself, if it is that important. Ah, we're here."

You enter the infirmary, barely able to squeeze yourself carrying Grayson's bulk inside the door frame. There's several beds, lots of cabinets and shelves... and a very VERY pale woman with white hair, in a lab coat, sitting on a stool. Seriously, she looks like a black-and-white photo.

She looks up and sighs. "Satoru didn't go easy, did he? Fuck. Put them on the beds."

You follow her order, somewhat confused. "Should I do anything else...?"

The pale woman snaps at you, "No, I'm sure you've done quite enough. Fucking shitty teacher and a shitty Meister, always making my life fucking hell..." She digs in a cabinet and pulls out several medical items, including a roll of bandages. "You need anything? If not, get the fuck out. I need to work."

You're dumbfounded for a moment.

You're still in awe of this torrent of vitriol, so you have to ask. "Are you... okay?"
