“Look, I get it, this is your first day of school after all. Many of you are confused and scared, so why don’t we go around the room and introduce ourselves?” The teacher said with a smile.

Despite your best efforts, he quickly makes eye contact with you. Looking around the classroom, that looks more like a converted laundromat, you can see that everyone is looking at you in hopes of breaking the ice.

You stand up and introduce you self as Samantha. You have a photographic memory and are understandably uncomfortable. The irony of your current situation is something that you honestly wish you could laugh at.

“That’s good, now let’s go clockwise around the room until everyone has said their names.” The teacher said before picking up a coffee mug from atop one of the washing machines and taking a sip.

There is some murmuring before the other 9 students start to stand up.

A male student with sleek black hair stands up and begins to speak in a condescending tone.

“I am Reginald Von Dragsmith. It should go without saying that I am above all of this nonsense and demand a proper explanation. I have had perfect grade all my life and to have an upturned dryer placed before me instead of a deck is utterly unacceptable.” You can’t help but agree with the word coming from Reginald, but you ponder if now is the proper time to complained about the desks.

The next student to sand up is a well-built girl who shoots out of her seat like a rocket. “I’m Jenny! I need outdoor activity, so when is PE?”

The teacher let out a sigh before responding, “This is orientation, we’ll get to the questions after everyone is introduced.”

The 4th student stood up with a smile on face that seemed a bit forced. “I’m Alexander, and I hope that we can all be friends. Well as soon as our legs are no longer chained to our seats.”

“Agreed.” The 5th student rose from his chair and took a quick glace around the room. “My name is Jordan. Ummm, if anyone sees a journal please tell me. I think I lost it.”

“I bet I could fit your journal in one of my holes!” The next student to sand up was a girl with a somewhat trashy appearance. “I’m Jeremy and I have a talent of sticking things where they don’t belong. If you guys want, I’ll tell you the Twinkie story later.”

The next student to sand up was a guy with a hoody and dark rings around his eyes. “The name’s Slate. If any of you got cash, I think we can work out something. If you know what I mean.”

Almost immediately after Slate made his introduction a perky girl in a cheerleader uniform stands up. “Ooooooooh, that’s neat! Hi Slate, my name is Brittany Ann and I think I have some business with you later.” Turing to the rest of the group Brittany Ann blushes and giggles. “Sorry, I forgot all of you were here. I’m Brittany Ann and I love being a cheerleader.

The final 2 students stand up in perfect unison. You are immediately disturbed by the way they both seem to make identical body movements. “Hello. We are Sam and Samantha. We are twins, perfect twins. This talking at the same time thing is a bad habit, sorry. Please do not be too off put by how close we are. Really, there is no twincest at all.” You a flooded with questions about these two, but you are more preoccupied with having the same first name as the female twin. This hopefully won’t lead to a mix up later.

“It’s nice to meet all of you, I’m Mr. Olive.” The teacher then takes one last sip of his coffee. “Well, good bye.” In a swift movement, Mr. Olive smashes his mug on the side of a washing machine. Before you can process what is happening, he then takes the shard of glass that was once the handle and slits his own throat. There is stunned silence in the room. No one was ready to see a grown man fall into a puddle of blood.

After a moment, the intercom crackles to life and a mechanical laugh can be heard.
“Upupupupupupupupupupupupu.”

Without warning, a black and white bear bursts out of the washing machine closest to the dead teacher. Bits of it seem to be torn or burnt revealing mechanical parts underneath. “Hello! My name is Monoscrap and welcome to your new home! I’m here to answer all your questions, so who’s first?”

Welcome everyone, to Danganronpa quest.

OOC really quick.
I guess I should also make a few things clear.
I have an overall mystery planned out, but not a list of survivors. Every murder will be decided by you guys and I will only pick the murderer so that each case makes sense. This means while I do know all the answers behind the mastermind and stuff, I’ve got no clue who is going to live though this or even how many survivors there will be.

Anyway, I got to go for a bit, but I'll be back later tonight to continue.

Thanks, I wanted the students to be made before you guys knew they were going to be killed off.

Well. A photographic memory SHOULD come in handy...

Monoscrap looks at you with one of his eyes glowing dimly. “Who am I!? Who am I?! You have no memory of how you got here, don’t know where you are, are using washing machines as desks, are chained to your chairs, and a grown man just slit his own throat, but you ask who I am?! I don’t know if you have brain damage or balls of steel.”

Seemingly out of nowhere, a police hat falls down and rests atop Monoscrap’s head. “I am Monoscrap, the head of mall security and your new caretaker. There, now do you have any other questions before I undo the locks that are keeping you chained up?”

I want to see each and every one of you learn that this world is not worth the dirt it is made from. I want to give proof that the only life worth living is one that causes as much pain as possible. “If there are no more questions, let’s get started.” Monoscrap reaches into another washing machine and pulls out a map of what appears to be a mall. “Welcome to Despairpark Mall. This will be your home for the rest of your lives. Most of it is blocked off, but living areas have been provided within the mattress store. Food will be derived to you from the food court 3 times a day and Clothing can be found in the Dillard’s.”

“Now, if you are unhappy with living in the mall forever, there is a way to get out. Just kill someone else without getting caught. Murder gear can be found in Hot Topic and if you want to get creative the Lego store. Now if you need me just call.”

With that, Monoscrap walks out of the laundromat that you had been treating as a classroom and the locks around your legs suddenly become undone.

Alexander seems to be on his knees trying to form an alliance with Jordan.
Jordan seems to be on his knees trying to form an alliance with Alexander.

Grab some murder gear. For self protection, of course!
>>
>>836344
You decide to sneak off and go to the Hot topic for this so-called murder gear.

Outside of the laundromat, you see the mall for the first time. It appears to be an indoor mall that has fallen into disrepair. Currently you are on the 4th floor and from a railing, you can see the lower floors. Currently, the escalators are blocked off by multiple Monoscraps. You could attempt to climb down, but one wrong move could lead to you falling to your death. On one of the rails a note reads “if someone falls it won’t count as a murder, so it won’t do you any good.

At the Hot Topic, you start digging through the collectible figures to find something that you could use to protect yourself with.

“You know, I had thought that we would go at least an hour before someone stated digging for a murder weapon. Honestly, I had that air brain cheer leader pegged as the one the snap first.” Behind you stands
Reginald with his arms folded. He walks up to you and grabs you by the wrist. “Stop this now.”

Reginald: Grand Prodigy
Jenny: Grand Athlete

The twins: Grand Twins

Basically, murder by kicking someone off the floor is not counted as murder?

>What will you do?
Shake off Reginald's hand, back off a bit, and raise your hand to indicate no aggression.
Convince him that you're only here to pick weapon for self-defense purpose because others seems unstable, and you want to be prepared when someone suddenly goes crazy.
Especially because that Jordan and Alexander "alliance" screams danger.

You try to yank your hand away from Reginald, but his grip is too strong to break. Seeing your attempts to break free, he lets go so that you can back away.

With your hands in the air you look him in the eyes to make your intentions known. “I need something to defend myself. It’s not like I was planning to kill anyone. You saw Jordan and Alexander; they are already teaming up and that could cause problems for all of us. Come on, you’re thinking it too, why else would you be here?”

Reginald frowns, places his face into his palm, and proceeds to let out a small groan. “You might have a great memory, but I can see that you fail to use it to its full potential. If you start carrying around a weapon, then everyone will see you as a threat and they will always suspect you might attack at any time. Jordan is a lost soul who needs emotional support and Alexander is someone who thrives off his bonds with others. Calling those two a threat is like being afraid of a butterfly uprising. The reason I’m here is because I saw you sneak off and decided to follow you in case you would be the first to look for a murder weapon.”

You are unable to come up with a response to what Reginald has said so all you can do is listen to him continue. “Now Samantha, let me tell you what I see in you.” Your blood runs cold as you start to shake. “Monoscrap suggested that we all have no memory of coming here, and I would think that would be extremely unsettling for someone who should have perfect memory. Combine this with the pressure of killing one another and anyone would expect you to be pushed off the edge. Right now, you are scared and lashing out at the world. You are emotionally vulnerable.”

Suddenly you feel Reginald’s hand around your wrist again. “Samantha, join me. With your memory and my brains, we would be untouchable. I’m already trying to come up with a plan to get out of here, and I know you will be useful. I’ll be honest, out of all the losers here, you are the only one who’s life seems worth something to me, and just imagine what WE could do together once we get out.”

Reginald appears to be offering you something more than an alliance. Your next action could have a long-lasting impact. What will you do?
>take him up on his offer

As expected from the Grand Prodigy, Reginald is scary. I like him.
Still not convinced about Jordan and Alex though.

>take him up on his offer
Agreed to helps each other for survival purpose only. And on the condition that he won't get too close to you again. And no touching.
Also, get something like a music player and earphone while you're here. You need something like music to calm yourself and the one with wire can comes in handy if you ever need it.

>>837548
You tell Reginald that you will make an alliance with him, but you don’t plan on being in a relationship.

Smiling, he runs his fingers through his silky smooth black hair. “You’ll come around. Now let’s go take a look at our living arrangements.” It looks like it will take some time for him to understand no means no.

On your way out, you grab a CD player and Pokémon themed headphones. Unfortunately, you don’t see any CDs. Hopefully you will find some later.

At the mattress store, you see curtains suspected by polls cover the store. It would be easy for someone to jump out and ambush you without any warning. A sign in crayon reads:

>no peeking on other student’s beds
>no sleeping outside of a bed
>no moving beds
>no sharing beds

It seems Reginald is equally disturbed by this. “It looks like we have no choice but to sleep here.”

You decide that it is not time for bed yet and explore the mall some more. As you walk, you talk to Reginald about the other students. “What do you make of Jordan?”

Reginald raises an eyebrow. “Like I said, he is a lost soul. I spoke to him before I went after you. It appears that his whole life revolved around keeping a record of his day to day activity and now that he has lost it he is at a breaking point. His friendship with Alexander might be the only thing keeping him from attempting to kill us all.”

You feel a lump in your stomach as you think about how close one of your fellow prisoners are to snapping. “What about the twins? They seemed rather calm.”

You see Reginald stop and shutter briefly. “Yes, I have no idea what is wrong with those two. However, they give me the creeps. Honestly, I hope one of them gets killed first so I won’t have to be around them anymore.”

You both arrive at the Lego store, the other location that supposedly held murder equipment. Inside is Jeremy who is pushing Lego bricks up her nose while Brittany Ann watches in awe. Slate is also present and appears to be fiddling with the cash register.

You attempt to sneak in to the Lego shop unnoticed; however, Reginald walks past you and starts talking with Slate, so you just give up and go talk to Brittany Ann.
You didn’t get a chance to get a look at her before, but now that things have calmed down you finally take in the appearance of your classmates. You also wonder if classmate is the right word since you all are not in a school.

Brittany Ann is a small girl with black hair that goes down to the bottom of her shoulder blades. Her yellow cheerleader outfit seems to have hooks that let her attach her pompoms to it. She is currently bouncing up and down and cheering Jeremy on. “Oh hiya Sama! You got to see what Jeremy can do! She is going to fill her ears next.”

You look to Jeremy and sure enough she has placed two Lego brick into her nose.

“Hey, there.” The girl says to the best of her abilities with 2 large Lego bricks shoved up her nostrils. This is the first time you have gotten to really take a look at this hot mess of a girl. Jeremy has messy blond hair that goes down to her shoulders. You can tell the pink shirt she has on is a size or two too small reading “Proud Trailer Trash” and you question how here breast fit inside of it. The final thing that strikes you about her is that she smells like she has not had a bath in weeks.

“I was just showing Brittany Ann how many Legos I can fit into my body. I could do more, but Monoscrap has already banned me from taking my pants off around other people for some reason.”

You suddenly wish that you had not done this.

You decide that it might be best to get away from Jeremy and you can talk to Brittany Ann later. Walking over to Slate and Reginald, you suddenly hear Slate shouting.

“ONLY A SINGLE PESO?! Why would the there even be a Peso here?”

It seems that Slate has been trying to find cash in the abandoned store and was less than satisfied with what he found. Reginald on the other hand was much calmer but equally confused. “Calm down you nincompoop. I’m sure this is a clue to the mystery surrounding us so it is best we don’t forget it.” He them shoots you a sideways glance before going on. “All the signs in the mall are in English, so we can’t be in Mexico. I do have a theory, but I think it is best not to make wild assumptions.”

We should see about setting up a buddy system, for protection and to help establish alibis in case of a murder.

You leave the Lego store and explore the mall some more.

For the first time you look up and see that there is a skylight in the mall. However, there is a lot of dirt covering it, and what little bits you can see through only show a gray sky. The only place left to explore is the Dillard’s, so you start walking there. On the way, you can see that there are multiple smaller stores, but they are all locked up with signs that reads:

>no breaking in. -Monoscrap

At the Dillard’s you see that only the clothing section is open. Noting of value is here unless you need a wardrobe change.

As you are walking out of Dillard’s you consider making a buddy system to prevent murders. You now feel embarrassed for leaving Reginald at the Lego store. He was right, you might have perfect memory, but you forget to use the rest of your brain.

Suddenly, the intercoms crackle to life and your ears are fill with Monoscrap’s mechanical voice.

“Testing, testing, testosterone. Okay? Good. Attention, it is now dinner time. Please go to the class room to place your food orders. If you don’t I’m afraid you won’t be able to eat till breakfast.”

You decide it is best that you go to dinner and walk to the laundromat.

There you see that everyone has already arrived and Monoscrap is going to people one at a time and taking their orders. On the wall is a list of menus form almost 20 different fast food restaurants that you assume make up the food court on the first floor. The body of Mr. Olive is clearly gone and not a speck of blood can be seen on the floor. You sit down next to Reginald just in time for Monoscrap to walk up to you. You order a sandwich and watch as the mechanical bear leaves the room to fetch your food.

“I would like a progress report from each of you.” Reginald said in a way that made you feel like he was directing a boardroom. “Jenny, I suggest you go first.”

Jenny, who you now saw was a muscular girl with a football jersey and her brown hair in a braided ponytail shot out of her seat and began speaking. “Me, Jordan, Alexander, and the twins were the last to leave the room. Once we were out I saw Monoscrap leave the room with Mr. Olive’s body on a cart. I tried to follow but Monoscrap got on an elevator. I tried to use it, but it looks like you need a key.” The twins went to check out the Dillard’s while the rest of us looked at the Hot Topic but failed to find anything that could be used to kill.”

The twins stand up and spoke in unison. “We checked the Dillard’s, but nothing important seems to be there.” Like most of the other students, you never took the time to really look at the twins before now. The twins have matching overalls and have had their hair dyed purple. Besides the presence of B-cups and a hairbow you would not be able to tell the two apart.

Brittany Ann stands up next. “Well we went to the Lego store, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut we couldn’t find anything that could be used for killing, so I just watched Jeremy play with the Lego. Oh and Slate found some money.”

“I would hardly consider a single Peso money.” Slate says with his arms folded. “The value of a Peso has only been going down and it’s not even worth a Nickel.”

Finally, Reginald stand up askes, “Does anyone have any idea how to contact the outside world or get out?” The room goes quiet and no one says anything. Monoscrap returns and gives everyone their food. Not another word is said.

After the meal, everyone gets up and walks to the mattress store to go to bed.

You go to the railing.

Without the light from the skylight, the only illumination comes from the stores that all seem to be locked up for the night.

It looks like everyone else has already gone to bed, so you lean on the railing. Besides, it’s so quiet that you would hear anyone coming. Suddenly you hear a shuffling sound. You quickly dart around trying to pinpoint it until you finally realize that the sounds are coming from below you on the 1st floor. It sounds like footsteps of anywhere between 3 to 10 people and you can hear whispers but you have no hope of understanding them. You really wish that there was enough light to see the first floor but it is completely black.

However, it's now time to pick who is going to be the first to die! Here’s the deal, to make a cohesive story I need to know who’s going to die before it happens so you guys pick now and I’ll make it happen later. BTW, I’ll be the one the pick the killer.

Here are the rules, you pick one or two students and roll a dice+1d10. The first post to roll a 10 is the one that will be our first victim. Rerolls once a half hour.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Only one victim per day?

Roll for Reginald.
>>

>Only one victim per day?
There can be 2 victims but they both need to be in the post that's rolling.

Oh and here's the list to pick from if anyone forgot the cast.

Samantha: Grand Memory
Reginald: Grand Prodigy
Jenny: Grand Athlete
Alexander: Grand Friendship
Jordan: Grand Chronicler
Jeremy: Grand Deviant
Slate: Grand Merchant
Brittany Ann: Grand Cheerleader
Sam: Grand Twin
The other Samantha: Grand twin

Rolled 8 (1d10)

>>838673
It's time for the Insertion girl to get something stuck inside of her that she can't handle
>>
Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>838723
Alexander.
How dare he be happy
>>
>>838814
Alas, poor Alex, we hardly knew ye
>>
>>838814
Woah.
It's not often that the power of friendship actually killed you first.
>>
Point of Interest
>everyone lost the memory of how they got here, even our perfect memory protagonist
>Jordan's journal is lost
>murder by dropping someone off doesn't count as murder
>no sleeping outside
>lego store doesn't have anything that can be used to murder someone, according to the team of Brittany, Jeremy, and Slate
>the store sign is in English, but Slate found peso
>Monoscrap used the elevator to go somewhere to dispose Mr. Olive's body
>elevator might need a key
>said elevator is blocked by multiple Monoscraps before, but not anymore when Jenny check it
>there's a group of someone on the first floor, at night
>we didn't found other CD besides "Everything is Awesome"
>Mr. Olive gets a coffee from somewhere
>we found no toilet nor bathroom
>>
>>838892
>>we found no toilet nor bathroom
That's what the railing is for
>>
>>838919
Our protag is female.
So using the railing is a bit, uh, difficult.
>>
>>838937
We use it as a male would for doing the number two
>>
>>838940
That's an... interesting way of communicating with the people on the first floor
>>
>>838949
It's a good way of showing them what we really think of them
>>
>>838971
Let's not (literally) piss off the only contact we have to the outside world
>>
>>838995
Ok, where to then?
Maybe some of the shops has an employees bathroom, but with our luck it is probably barred off
>>
>>839003
In the laundromat using the washing machine seems like a decent choice.
>>
>>839092
If the machines are still functional? Sure, we can "flush" that way, i guess.
>>
>>839146
Monoscrap also bring our order quite quickly if I say, so I bet there's a working kitchen and tap water nearby.
>>
>>838814
F
I'll start brainstorming how he will die and who will do it.

>>838892
>we found no toilet nor bathroom
I knew I forgot something. Also I will never tell you if you found all the important information or if you included something that isn't important.

Finally I already have planned out reasons for everything, so feel free to theorize away.
>>
>>839557
We are going to dump all the crap inside a washing machine and set it to centrifuge so it flushes out.
How does that make you feel?
>>
>>839580
Like I need to establish bathrooms in the first post of the next chapter.
>>
>>839557
How did Mr. Olive get his Coffee?
His Coffee seems to make him feels so alive.

As for theory, there's still not enough information.
A talk with Monoscraps would help.
>>
>>839613
I still say we take the washing machine idea for a spin. It might be an enlightening experience.
Okay, i'll stop now
>>
BTW, I any and all feedback would be welcome.

This is my first real quest and I want to make it as enjoyable as possible. The last thing I want to do is railroad the story, but at the same time this is a mystery. I just want to make sure that you guys feel like you have enough control.

I'm afraid my art talents are not that good and with only MS paint I won't be giving you any images that other quests might. Sorry.

Finally, what is the best way to archive this?
>>
>>839829
If you think images would really help, then ask around for a drawfag
Otherwise, pictures from the internet should help.

I am afraid i haven't seen enough of your writing to give you any feedback of worth.
Things are enjoyable so far, and the curve ball at the beginning was worthy of a standing slowclap.
I never played any of the games and i think i have a good idea of what's going on so far, so you have that going for you

>Things are enjoyable so far, and the curve ball at the beginning was worthy of a standing slowclap.
Good, as long as it's enjoyable I think this is a success.

>I never played any of the games and i think i have a good idea of what's going on so far
That's good, but I still recommend playing it or at least watching the first 3 episodes of the anime even if people have problems with it.
>>
>>839829
I like it.
>>
>>839829
I like it so far.
And you can use some pic from net if you think it'll helps, it doesn't really matter if you draw it yourself.
Though a simple map can go a long way though. And it's not that hard to draw a map.

>Finally, what is the best way to archive this?
I'm not sure, but I see some people using this.

A map is a good idea.
>>
>>839829
Might I recommend paint.net? I picked it up for quest purposes a few days ago. Very functional, as free programs go.
