>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a twenty-two year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

"I'd love to stay for dinner," you tell Suno. "But I can't. I have to get back to the wife, and I need to help her out with some things."

Suno nods. "Alright, well stop by sometime. We love it when you visit."

"Bye, Tofoo!" Kori waves as you head for the door.

You take off into the sky, and head for home. Before you've even made it the full way there, you see a large cargo ship heading in the same direction. Flying beside it, you're able to sense the energies of the Namekians inside of it, excluding Piccolo himself, whose energy you feel somewhere off in the distance. You wonder if he changed his mind about joining you on this trip.

When you arrive at Capsule Corp, the cargo ship is right behind you. It lands and begins to offload its passengers, among which you see Yamcha, walking behind Lazuli, who says something back to him.

The pair head for the main building, while Bulma leads the Namekians out, presumably preparing to start a tour of the area.

It's been weeks since you last saw Trunks. And, had things gone differently on Namek, you may have never seen him again. Through his very short life, your son had been able to spend precious little time with you. With the world being in constant peril, you had to throw yourself into training and battle. Soon, you'll be doing so again.

But, for now, in this moment of rest, you can finally go and see your son again.

Descending from the sky, you make your way into the building, asking one of the robotic servants where Trunks is.

"Presumably in the care of Mistress Panti," the machine answers. "Would you like me to contact her?"

Shaking your head, you make your way up toward your mother-in-law's room, finding the woman sitting in front of the television, watching some sort of cooking show while little Trunks sits on her lap.

As you make your way around the couch, she seems to notice you (you still aren't sure how she can see with her eyes closed all of the time), and gives you that warm, motherly smile you've always appreciated from her.

"Oh, Tofoo, darling!" she greets happily, standing up. "It's so good to see you!"

She steps forward, standing right in front of you and talking as Trunks stares up at you with a blank expression.

"How was space?" she inquires. "Did you meet any interesting aliens? How was the food on Namek?"

It's very depressing, which is why I'm impressed they went through with it. It's the most utter defeat we have seen in Dragonball so far, yet they managed to spin it as a Pyrrhic victory and give a sense of hope through it all.

Before answering, you reach out, and Mrs. Briefs hands you your son. Little Trunks looks up into your eyes, and, after a few more second s of his blank stare, he smiles, reaching his little hands up toward your face and letting out a laugh.

Smiling back at him, you look at Mrs. Briefs. "Space got complicated, and I don't think Namekians eat."

"Goodness, no food?" she asks, sounding surprised and concerned. "You must be starving, poor thing. You just wait right here, and I'll fix you and Bulma something nice and tasty."

Trunks makes an infantile babbling noise, turning his head toward his grandmother, who stops and smiles back at him.

"And something for you, sweetie," she promises.

With that, she leaves the room, and you're alone with your son.

A rare opportunity for simple quality time with your son has presented itself. At first, you consider sitting down and watching television with him, but ultimately, you decide to bond with him without the aid of the tv.

Grabbing the remote, you flip off the television, and take a seat on the cough, holding little Trunks on your lap. He stares up at you with those wide, innocent eyes, his attention squarely on you. You can only imagine what he might be thinking at the moment, and you aren't sure how much he can really comprehend, but you decide to tell your son stories of the adventures you had as a kid.

Deciding to start at the beginning, you tell Trunks about the day you met Bulma and Goku. The infant stares up at you, hopefully absorbing what you're telling him. If nothing else, you have his attention, and for a little while you continue to tell him stories.

When you get to the part about Bulma giving the last piece of candy to Oolong, your wife enters the room.

"It's a good thing I didn't let you eat it," she comments, sitting beside you on the couch. "You saw what it did to Oolong."

Trunks smiles, reaching for his mother.

Sighing, you hand your son to Bulma, who grins down at him, holding him in the air as he laughs and kicks his little lets.

"What are the Namekians doing?" you ask your wife.

Bulma glances over at you. "Dad's showing them how to play golf, and cards, and other Earth games. He seems pretty excited about it."

Nodding, you change the subject to another pressing concern.

"Do you have any ideas on how to make this Dragonball hunt work?" you ask her.

She lowers Trunks, setting him in her lap and frowning. "It's just a matter of improving on the last ship I worked on, as well as the Dragon Radar. It's not a question of whether or not I can get you the ship and radar you need; just how long it will take."

"Any idea how long it'll take?" you ask her.

"I'd say....somewhere around a month," she answers truthfully. "By then, I should be able to get you a ship with proper navigation, a gravity chamber, and a built-in radar system. That should give you plenty of time to round up whoever you're bringing, and do any training you want to get done."

"I'm hoping to spend time with you guys before I go," you inform Bulma as she resumes playing with Trunks.

"I'll be pretty busy working on the ship," she warns. "But I'm sure little Trunks will appreciate it, won't you?"

Trunks laughs, and you decide to take that as a yes.

"Are you coming with me?" you ask Bulma, who sighs.

"I don't want to leave Trunks again," she tells you dejectedly. "Not when we could be gone for a whole year. I was thinking of having Lapis or Lazuli go with you."

"Good for both of them," you tell her. "Hopefully now they'll wise up and be happy together."

Bulma chuckles, leaning back. "Yamcha's been trying for a while now. Looks like she's finally giving him a chance. Hopefully it works out for them."

You hope so. Yamcha and Lazuli are both good people. They deserve to be happy. And that's why you don't want to bring them on the trip with you. If they're trying to start a relationship, bringing one or both of them along on some life-threatening space adventure would probably not be helpful.

"So, Lapis then," you say, turning the topic back to the journey. "What about Appule?"

Bulma smirks. "I'm sure that you and Piccolo can convince him to come along."

She's probably right about that.

"Think you can make Lapis one of those blasters, like the ones on Namek?" you ask.

"Oh, yeah, that shouldn't be much trouble," she assures you. "I'll make sure he gets one."

That's pretty much all settled, then. With that, you ask Bulma one last question, inquiring if she can take today off and spend the day as a family with you and Trunks.

"After all, I think we could all use a break after Namek," you tell her.

Bulma smiles at you, and lets you know that she agrees with a kiss.

Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Briefs provides the lunch she promised, and you enjoy a delicious meal with your wife and son. The normally flighty woman has the good sense to let the three of you eat in privacy, and you're quite grateful for that.

Once that's done, you and Bulma go for a walk around the park, carrying Trunks as he watches people and pets with his wide eyes.

Once that's done, you go for a walk around the city, with Bulma stopping to drag you into a clothing store. You're there for a while, but it's not all bad. You pretty much hang out with your son and let your wife model outfits for you.

Once that's done, the three of you return home, finding that Mrs. Briefs has prepared another wonderful meal. This time, she and Doctor Briefs join you, and you catch up with all of your family, save Tights, who you pretty much never see anyway.

Not long after that, you and Bulma put Trunks down for bed. Bulma turns on the baby monitor, and the two of you retire to your room.

"Today was great," you tell your wife, who nods in agreement.

You climb into bed, grabbing the television remote off the nightstand and asking her if she wants to watch a movie.

"Sure," she tells you, climbing into bed and letting out a contented sigh as she cuddles up against you.

The two of you enjoy one another's company for the next few hours as you simply relax together, and eventually fall into a peaceful sleep.

The next day, you wake up to find Bulma already out of bed, presumably already having gone to to some work. Yawning, you pull yourself out of bed and think on how to start the day. You could spend some more time with Trunks, or you could start talking to people who might join you on your trip.

Presumably, Lapis and Launch should be fairly easy to track down. That is, as long as Lapis is around and doing work rather than indulging Launch in her criminal tendencies.

A little asking around tells you that they are not off robbing trains or taking stolen vehicles on joyrides. Instead, you learn that Launch's good personality is in control, and the two of them are in the park.

You leave Capsule Corp, unsure of what you'll see when you reach the park. Lapis and Launch's violent side have gotten along pretty well for years; it's what drew Lapis to Launch in the first place. But, over time, he's also become familiar with her good side. Not only that, but he's somehow managed to win both good and bad over, and miraculously has maintained a relationship with Launch since shortly after the 23rd World Tournament.

When the good Launch is around, Lapis is a far more relaxed person. Less impulsive and reckless, he seems to simply enjoy her sunny attitude and doing simple things. It's when the bad Launch is around that he gets into trouble.

Arriving at the park, you see Lapis and Launch sitting side by side on the park bench while the latter feeds birds.

As you approach, Launch looks your way and gives you a smile.

"Tofoo!" she greets in a sunny tone. "It's good to see you!"

"Well, look who's back," he greets with a smirk. "Made it back in one piece, did you?"

"No, I died," you tell him. "They brought me back."

"Someone killed you?" Lapis asks, surprised. "What, did you fight Goku again?"

You glare at him, but he just gives a shrug. "Hey, you made it back. Even when you die, you don't stay beaten."

"I'm glad you're alright," Launch tells you.

Smiling at her, you ask how she and Lapis are doing.

"Oh, we're just wonderful," Launch tells you. "We went to this nice little diner for breakfast, and later we're going to see a movie."

"Things have been pretty boring around here since that business with the Saiyans ended," Lapis tells you. "But man, is it just me, or has this city gotten more crowded?"

Looking around, you do find that the park is more crowded than usual. Whatever the reason, it's probably not a big deal.

"So, what's up?" Lapis asks. "Is this a social call?"

Shaking your head, you explain the situation with the Black Star Dragonballs, and how you could use their help.

Lapis looks excited, leaning forward with a grin on his face. "I've never flown a spaceship before, but that sounds great! Launch, you're coming, right?"

"I don't know," the girl tells him. "What would I do in space?"

"Oh, come on, babe, think of all the things there are to see out there," he tells her. "Besides, with Tofoo and I around, you'll be safe."

Launch stares at him for a moment, then smiles. "Okay, I'll go."

"Thank you both," you tell your friends before taking to the sky.

Several of the passersby in the park stare at you in horror, and a few even let out terrified screams, but you ignore them and fly off toward Capsule Corp, locking onto a particular energy signature and following it right to the source.

Appule is in one of the Capsule Corporation's massive garages, standing with Bulma and Doctor Briefs as they look over schematics laid out on a table in front of them.

"It's a very basic design," Appule comments, looking them over. "You say it can only go to pre-programmed coordinates?"

"That's right," Bulma tells him. "Have any advice on how to upgrade it?"

"Add manual controls?" Appule suggests, sounding more as if he's asking them a question as he turns toward Bulma.

"That's it?" Bulma asks. "Come on, you have to know how to improve on the systems."

"Why are you asking me about this?" Appule asks. "I knew how to operate the systems on Lord Freeza's ship, that doesn't mean I know how they were built, or how they even worked."

Bulma groans. "Aright then, dad, looks like you and I will have to figure this out together."

"Oh, that shouldn't be a problem," Doctor Briefs assures her. "I'll have the robots bring us some cappuccino, and we'll have this figured out in no time."

"Appule," you call to the alien, who turns to you and lets out a groan. "I want you to come with me on my trip."

"Why me?" he asks like a whiny child. "You know I'm nowhere near as strong as you are."

"You've been all over the universe with Freeza, haven't you?" Bulma asks him.

"Well, yeah," Appule answers.

"Then you'll make a good guide," Bulma explains. "I doubt Tofoo will have you doing much fighting."

Appule groans in defeat. "I hope not. But whatever."

"Hey, Bulma?" you address your wife. "How many people will this ship transport?"

She thinks it over for a minute. "It should comfortably carry six, maybe seven people. Though you can obviously travel with less."

>>
>>854129
Yeah, but who knows how often it will be useful? And considering he never used it again after Nappa (to my recollection), we have no idea how it would fare against any tougher enemies.

I feel like it would be better to bring someone else along. Maybe Krillin, considering Yamcha is sadly out of the question?

Also, good point about the senzu. We definitely want those.

>>
>>854070
>>854094
So, with Piccolo almost certainly joining in on the action, that means you can bring one more person, perhaps two. Krillin and Chichi are probably less-than-willing to go on an adventure like this after everything that's happened in recent months. Ox King will probably be unavailable for similar reasons, and you aren't really sure how things would go if you were to ask either Roshi or Shen for their assistance.

Tenshinhan and Chaozu, on the other hand, would probably be more than willing to take part in this. Tenshinhan is a true martial artist, always attempting to make himself as powerful as possible, and Chaozu will stick with him through anything. Besides that, Chaozu's psychic powers could come in handy. Asking the two of them for help might be your best bet.

Saying farewell to your wife, you leave Capsule Corp once again, this time searching for the energy signatures of Tenshinhan and Chaozu. They aren't difficult to find, and you find them off together on some sort of farm deep in the wilderness.

"Tofoo!" Chaozu greets excitedly as he watches you land.

Tenshinhan steps outside, coming to stand beside Chaozu.

"Not to sound rude, but why have you come?" Tenshinhan inquires. "You've never made a social call out here before. Is this about what happened on King Kai's world?"

>A. Yes, and you could use their help

"Yes, and I was hoping you two would come along to help me," you tell them.

The pair share a look.

"It's an opportunity to grow stronger," you tell them. "And we're all going to need those if we hope to catch up with Goku."

"We know," Tenshinhan tells you with a smirk. "Which is why we'll be glad to come, right Chaozu?"

The floating, tiny warrior nods, a smile on his doll-like face. "King Kai's training was a great start, but I want to get even stronger!"

"That's the spirit," Tenshinhan tells him. "Just let us know when it's time, Tofoo."

Promising to do exactly that, you take off once again, this time searching for the energy of Piccolo. You pick it up almost immediately, but sense it coming from two sources, each only about half as strong as the Piccolo you know.

It seems he's back to training already, and probably using the multiform technique to spar with himself. The power he's putting out is still enormous, and even at half-strength, he'd give you one hell of a fight.

Heading in that direction, you find yourself in an area with a landscape that reminds you of Namek, and spot two Piccolo's locked in fierce combat.

They battle one another with intent to kill, shifting their location from the ground, to the air, to a lake nearby, making use of their various techniques, including the very lethal Makankosappo. Rock formations crumble around them, shockwaves of energy are thrown in all directions, and electricity seems to dance around the two Piccolos as they battle.

The two lock palms with one another, each trying to push the other back. You hear them roar, and watch a massive glow surround them. You brace yourself as a massive explosion turns the remaining rock formations to rubble.

When you're able to see the ground below again, you spy a single Piccolo kneeling in a crater.

"Goku," you hear him growl as you descend. "I won't let you keep ahead of me forever. Whatever this Super Saiyan power of yours is, I'll find a way to surpass it."

As you land, he rises to his feet, turning to face you.

"What is it, Tofoo?" he asks, sounding irritated but also as if he's at least making an effort to be civil.

"You know, the ship we're taking is going to have a machine that enhances gravity," you tell Piccolo. "Goku and I used it for training on the way to Namek."

"I see," Piccolo says. "Training at higher gravity allowed the two of you to improve your speed and endurance. Good, then I won't get bored flying between worlds."

Saying goodbye to Piccolo for now, you head home, returning to Capsule Corp and finding your son once more in the company of his grandmother, who is, as always, delighted to see you.

"Hello, Tofoo darling," she greets. "Here for little Trunks?"

For the next several weeks, you spend as much time with your son as you can, though you occasionally have his grandmother watch him so that you can assist Bulma or run errands. Trunks seems well pleased with the father-son bonding, and you find yourself wishing that you'd done more of this sooner.

But, no sense dwelling on past mistakes. You're doing what you can to make things up to your son now, at least.

During your time spent at home, you happen to watch the news, and get some rather strange reports. Apparently, millions of people have appeared seemingly out of nowhere, some thought to have been slain during the Saiyan invasion, and others claiming to be people who died centuries ago.

You remember the wish made by Kami. He asked the Dragon to revive all of those slain by Freeza, Vegeta, Piccolo, and their men, except for the really evil ones. Of course, that would mean the people of East City were revived, as well as the Namekians slain by Freeza, and Tenshinhan, who died fighting Piccolo. But, with the way Kami worded it, it seems the Dragon revived those slain by King Piccolo three centuries ago. You don't remember exactly how many people he and his men had slain, but from the looks of things, that number was quite high.

What else did you do?

"Beans, and I wanted to say hello to an old friend," you tell Korin.

The feline smiles. "Well, that's nice to hear."

The two of you talk for a while, and you explain the current situation to Korin. He remarks on how much simpler it was when the only Dragonballs to worry about were the ones created by Kami. He isn't able to give you any information on the Black Star Balls, but he does tell you that with as strong as you, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu have become, you can handle this.

"However, don't let yourself get cocky," he cautions. "Remember my lesson; strength isn't the only factor in a battle. There are many factors that can make or break you in a fight. Remember to watch the actions of your opponents, study their breath, and most of all, never underestimate someone because they appear weak."

As you move to depart, Korin tosses you a bag.

"A dozen Senzu Beans," he tells you. "Use them well."

Bidding the old master farewell, you depart from Korin Tower, heading toward home to do some training.

What's Tofoo's pl at now? I think he's stronger then most people in the galactic control or stronger then everyone. The galactic king is what 100k?
>>
>>854765
Powerlevels are bullshit
I think we can just barely take Captain Ginyu by ourselves without Kaioken
>>
>>854765
Around 200000 or a bit higher since we were able to keep up with Freeza's second form with a Kaioken x4
>>
>>854764
Why shouldn't we mess with the Galactic Patrol? They're very weak, poorly organized, have next to no power projection, and are uninvolved with the God hierarchy. I'm not saying we should hold West Kai hostage to get an audience with Grand Kai, I'm just saying we should keep the Galactic Patrol in their place, under the boot of a real Galactic Power.

I'm not saying that we should blow up any planets. As long as you don't destroy too much, the Gods don't really care. Does Tights know about Zuno? Jaco did, I think, so can we ask her about someone who might know things?

You do care about them to the point where someone with a pl of five doesn't kill someone in the hundred thousands with out the element of surprise right?

By the way did you guys know the whole one year revival limit is fanon that came about because of the dubbers cutting out an important line? Regular shenron didn't have the power to revive everyone frieza and his men killed so he could only do those killed with in a one year timeframe. The original japanese version actually has him grumbling about that.

Depends how many people you are reviving. Everyone frieza and his men killed? Way to many.

Your friend or kid that's been dead for however long it took you to find the dragon balls? No problem.

It's kind of sad how many people forget that applies to large groups.

Why couldn't we wish the black star dragon balls to earth? We would be affecting an object not person. Ah well grand touring would be fun anyway. Got to find those decent wayward saiyans.

The team for the expedition into space has been gathered, you have a dozen Senzu Beans to use during the journey. Korin has given you some advice, and soon, the ship will be prepared.

How should you go about it?

Working on your mastery of the Kaio-Ken seems like a good way to close the gap between yourself and the two warriors who have grown to outclass you.

Piccolo has somehow become several times more powerful than you. If he were to decide to renege on the truce the two of you have made, you would be powerless to stand against him. And, far beyond that, Goku has reached a level of power that makes the rest of you look like children.

You scowl, feeling your right hand clench into a fist. While your best friend, Goku has also been your rival since the two of you were children. The two of you have been neck-and-neck for as long as you can remember. But now, he's become so strong that you can't even compete.

You refuse to let him eclipse you for long. The Kaio-Ken allows you a great amount of power, and if you can push it far enough, perhaps you can come close to Goku's power.

Throwing yourself into your training, you attempt to further your mastery of the Kaio-Ken, but quickly seem to realize that you aren't making much progress. You can sustain a normal Kaio-Ken for a long while, and the triple for nearly as long. But, you can't seem to push yourself any higher than ten times power, and you can still only sustain that for a short bit of time.

When your training comes to an end, you're exhausted and frustrated.

There has to be a way to improve. This can't be your limit. It's been a while since you've gone to a mentor to ask for wisdom, but maybe that needs to change.

Korin has already given you advice in the subject of combat, but perhaps Kami or Mr. Popo could help you to improve your power in order to catch up with Piccolo and Goku.

There's no guarantee that anything will come of this, but it beats smashing your head against the proverbial wall. Stepping out of the room, you take to the sky, flying in the direction of Kami's Lookout.

With your power having recently increased the way it has, it takes very little time for you to arrive. As usual, Mr. Popo is tending to the gardens, and you can sense Kami inside, probably sitting on his throne.

Mr. Popo looks up as you land, probably aware of your arrival before you even reached the Lookout. He offers a kind smile, setting his watering can aside and standing to speak to you.

"Tofoo," he says in way of greeting. "It's good to see you."

"I want to know how to get stronger," you tell Popo. "Goku and Piccolo have both gotten ahead of me, and it's becoming frustrating, especially when I think about our history."

Popo frowns at you. "Tofoo, you already have the tools for self-improvement, what you lack at the moment is patience. Piccolo has gotten stronger, but you've caught up to him before. And the same goes for Goku. You simply need t push yourself, and you will find the strength you seek."

Thinking on Popo's words, you nonetheless request to be able to speak with Kami.

"He's in his throne room," Popo informs you, pointing back toward the structure. "I'm sure he already knows that you're here."

"Yes, I do," the Guardian confirms as he steps outside. "Tofoo, welcome. Is there something that I can help you with?"

A and C.

With piccolo being as strong as he is, there's no telling if he can genuinely be trusted to not pull the shit he pulled after the saiyan saga. And we don't know in-character what kind of sorcery he pulled to become a monster of a fighter while you were jobbing to Freezer.

Part of me wants to ask Kami about magic but, i'm certain we did that before when we dealt with Morgan, he's going to tell us we shouldn't spread ourselves to thin, and the last time magic was brought up we couldn't agree on anything and ended up with everlasting youth like Bulma
>>
>>859396
>>859389
>>859408
"I wanted some advice on how to grow stronger," you tell him.

"There are any number of ways," Kami replies. "You lived on this Lookout for three years, old friend. Surely you remember travelling through time, or the endless room where a year could pass in a single day. And, from what I understand, your wife created a room with enhanced gravity. You have no shortage of places to train. You simply need to work with the same discipline as when you trained here years ago."

That's it, then. No quick fix. Not that they know of, anyhow. If you want to catch up with Goku and Piccolo, you'll need to train long and hard, and to be intelligent in how you go about it.

Deciding to change the subject, you ask Kami what his thoughts are in regards to Piccolo.

The Guardian frowns, stepping forward and moving past you. He continued until he stands at the edge of the Lookout, gazing down at the world below. Popo once told you that Kami can see anything happening on the planet from atop the Lookout, whether by looking through his crystal ball, or reading the winds. You wonder what he's looking at right now.

"Piccolo was my greatest failure," he tells you regretfully. "I don't need to tell you what sort of pain and suffering King Piccolo brought upon the world. After all, you were there to witness it personally. When we split from the same being, he was an embodiment of all of my evil, a devil in every sense of the word. He was nearly the end of your race. Yet, it was a human who killed him, and, in rebirth, Piccolo has changed."

Kami turns toward you. "The Piccolo you saw at the World Tournament was different from his "father". He was a more deadly foe, and learned from the mistakes of his father. And perhaps that is what changed him. While King Piccolo regarded humans as little more than vermin, the Piccolo that now walks the Earth recognized your kind as a threat from the beginning. He had grown a healthy respect for the power of those such as yourself and Goku, even willing to begrudgingly work with you when the situation demanded it. Slowly, his hatred for mankind has faded away, and his ambitions for world conquest seem to have followed. The evil within Piccolo has greatly diminished."

"Have you talked to any of the other Namekians?" you ask Kami.

Having said and heard enough, you depart from the Lookout, returning to Capsule Corp and throwing yourself back into training. It's slow going, but you do note some slight improvements in your power by the time Bulma announces that she's done readying the ship.

"I've given Tenshinhan a call," she tells you. "And Lapis and Launch are already on their way. But, I can't exactly call Piccolo. Do you want to take care of that?"

>A. Actually, you decided to go without Piccolo

If the others are on the way, then it's probably a good idea to get Piccolo, so the ship can take off as quickly as possible. Promising to be right back, you leave Capsule Corp, seeking Piccolo's energy and travelling to it.

Of course, you find Piccolo in the middle of nowhere, training with a copy of himself. The two Piccolo's stop their duel when you arrive, and merge back into a single entity.

"It's time, then?" Piccolo asks.

You nod.

When the two of you return to Capsule Corp, the others are already waiting. Launch (now blonde) and Tenshinhan glare at the green-skinned alien, each one trembling with rage. Lapis, meanwhile, stares at him with great interest, and Chaozu trembles.

Piccolo smirks at the reactions. "What, not happy to see me?"

"That can't be a surprise," Tenshinhan tells him. "I can't believe that Tofoo invited you on this mission. Hell, I don't know how he can even stand to look at you."

>A. Piccolo saved your life on Namek. You trust him here

"Piccolo saved my life on Namek," you tell Tenshinhan. "I trust him here."

The three-eyed man scowls, but he lets it go, though Piccolo makes it harder for him to do so by smirking at the irritated warrior. Clearly, those two are not going to get along very well, but maybe that anger will be a good driving force in their training.

"Alright, let me show you guys around," Bulma says, leading the way onto the ship.

On the outside, it's nearly identical to the ship that transported you to Namek, and the inside is quite similar as well. The main room contains the gravity machine and ships controls, and a hidden panel opens a ladder down into the area of the ship containing bedrooms, a kitchen, and bathrooms. It's a layout you're familiar with. However, Bulma makes sure to let you know that there are blasters stored downstairs, and that the ship has been outfitted with missiles, just in case. The gravity machine also goes up to 150 times normal gravity, higher than what Goku used by a longshot.

Launch, of course, is excited by the blasters and missiles, while the manual controls interest Lapis. For yourself and the other warriors, however, the gravity machine is the most impressive part of the ship.

"There's a long-range Dragon Radar in the ship's main computer," Bulma tells you. "And, a pair of handhelds downstairs. Any questions?"

"How long will food and water last?" you ask your wife.

"A year, at least," she tells you. "But you'd better be back before then. And you remember where the communication controls are, right?"

Thinking for a moment, you remember that the computer can be used to activate a hidden video monitor. You can contact Capsule Corp whenever you want.

With nothing left to prepare, you give your wife a kiss, telling her that you love her.

"I love you too," she says in return. "Now get going. Time's limited, here."

She departs from the ship, and Lapis activates the launch sequence, setting off into space. As the ship begins its ascent, Lapis takes a look at the radar.

"Okay, all seven Dragonballs are showing," he informs everyone. "But which is the closest?"

Appule steps up beside him, looking down at the radar. "Hmm...well, the nearest one is in Freeza Force territory."

>A. That's no problem; enter the coordinates and head for that planet

"Set the gravity machine to twenty times Earth," you instruct the others.

"Well, you have fun with that," Lapis says, heading for the ladder. "I'll be downstairs."

"Sounds good to me," Launch says, following him.

Appule leaves as well, and you approach the machine, activating it and preparing for training to begin.

That's all for tonight, anons. I hope you all had fun

Follow me @qmdralo to see when I'm running

As always, I will stick around for a while

Thanks for running Som. I'm not even mad about the GT shit anymore. You done good.
We did bring battle armor, right?
>>
>>859838
Yes

Just a warning, there will be concepts and designs from GT used, but I'm going to be messing with them a bit
>>
>>859833
Is Kori hiding in the stash of food since she figured out the quickest way to bring her dad back home was to go to space?

I understand you're gonna have to put GT plotlines in there as we're doing the black star dragonball stuff. I think you can probably do a much better job of writing them than Toei ever would have.
>>
>>859851
Can we also ask Appule if he keeps calling everywhere we go Freeza territory "insert number, random object, etc" as to why everything is named after his boss.

Thanks for running, SOM. I'm enjoying the story of Dragonball Quest much more than Z.

Fourstar has turned the populous to his nihilistic ways

No idea who any of the revived martial artists even are IC, not to mention that mostly everyone that came back from King Kai's is stronger or similar to our strength when we were when we were fighting Ginyu. And they have a Kori incase something happens while the doc and us are away.

Same here. DBZ aged awfully and I just can't even watch Kai without feeling like only nostalgia made me like the original one long ago. This quest, which makes otherwise total jobbers shine, does more justice to old dragon ball characters who were degraded to punching bags in Z. And I hope the Chaozu gets to do shit in the totally not GT arc, his odd abilities would serve well against the odd abilities some GT villains had.
>>
>>860776
Earth will be a completely different place when we return.

With so many people from the past revived, even if they all are shitters with powerlevels of 100 and stuff like that, that there's so many of them, and people who are from Piccolo's era will bring about a remembrance and interest in martial arts and the mystical arts in the general population.

You know how that happens in Dragon Ball Online when Gohan writes his book about Ki and shit? Well, that's happening now, except like 200 years earlier.

After Mutaito meets up with Roshi and Shen shit is gonna kick into high gear for humans, doubly so if all the other people like Krillin, Yamcha, Ox-King decide to join in to train people. There's also the Nameks who could teach shit to people and even Kami if he gets on talking to them.

People will also stop being fucking stupid and actually believe in Ki and all those things too instead of being Mr Satan sheeps. Hell, maybe even Mr Satan will finally be able to become a superhuman as well. He looks like a weak faggot because he's at the side of Saiyans and shit but for normal human standards he's super strong.

About the only bad thing is that humans will likely remain jobbers no matter what because unlike online they aren't part-saiyan from Goku and Vegeta descendants spreading out.

I wonder how Frieza's return will play out now, Androids as well. Hell, now that the world will be stronger overall Babidi could happen earlier because oh shit look at all those faggots with tons of kiri let's drain the fuck out of them.

This is the first big real change from canon we've had so far so I'm looking forward to see how it plays out.
>>
>>860999
>now that the world will be stronger overall Babidi could happen earlier because oh shit look at all those faggots with tons of kiri let's drain the fuck out of them.
Actually it couldn't Babidi has no clue where Buu is.
>>
>>861098
Thats Supreme Kai
>>
>>861111
Nvm, forgot that it was him that sealed Buu and hide him on earth.
>>
>>860999

Is satan really that strong? judging by the showman bullshit he pulls he doesn't seem to be any stronger than previous martial arts tournament fighters like Bacterian, Nam or King Chappa. In fact, he ends up looking weaker than them.
>>
>>861138
Well strong in the sense for those times compared to when the WMA tournament was a popular event that actually attracted various strong fighters with different fighting styles compared to when it was rebuilt after Piccolo blew it up in canon.

He's probably close to or at Pamput strength wise.
>>
>>861171

Man, all the good fighters must've retired since then if a strong but without technique guy like Satan is considered the best regular mankind/beastkind has to offer. I won't deny he's in shape and has a decent strenght and speed for a human, but he never showed any sort of actual technique unlike warriors of the past. I mean, doing something like Nam's aerial attacks or King Chappa's multiarm illusion technique would be a better display of technique than just breaking a few tiles or jumping high and then bragging about it.
>>
>>861138
He's been shown pulling multiple busses at once, jumping ridiculously high in the air, and even outside of slapstick moments, he's genuinely pretty durable.

What he lacks I'd a refined technique, because based on what you see him do, he's downright superhuman. It makes me wish he could have shown up in DB. If I remember, he's roughly Goku's age, and kid!Mark Satan could be great.
>>
>>863730

If I remember well, Goku and Krillin could do just as many thing and were even stronger in the very first tournament just with Roshi's "training" (he didn't really teach them anything at all, just buffed their stats) and even with their super strenght, super speed and super endurance they still had some issues with some first tournament fighters and unlike satan, managed to self-teach themselves some techniques, basic ones but more than satan ever showed.

As the other anon said, all the good fighters must've retired or get afraid of participating after dying during the piccolo and Jr. arcs if satan is was passes nowadays as humanity's finest. Satan would look superhuman in the real world, where pulling a bus with your teeth is something amazing not many people can do, but in the world of dragon ball that's small time stuff even if we only take into consideration the feats of fighters in the first tournament.
>>
>>864122
Oh, sure. My point was that the vast majority of people in DB are still very much in the "regular human" category, so even compared to them, he's several cuts above. He's still someone who clearly has the potential to kick ass, as long as he swallows his pride and allows himself to be taught.
>>
>>864412

Fair enough. His flaw was not trying to push himself to the limits because as he is, he's only above no name fighters and the tournament become so much of a joke they even added a children grade tournament.
>>
I just got here. Is this standard dragon ball or dbz?
>>
>>865094
It started in Dragonball, we are currently in Z though, just beat Frieza, and due to shenanigans had to use the Black Star Dragonballs so we starting up space adventure arc.
>>
Maybe its because I've been playing too much Fusions lately, but I really want Tofoo to learn the fusion dance.
>>
>>865615
Is the game good, heard there translation problems in the first couple of chapters or so.
>>
>>865642
Nothing too outrageous, honestly.

It's completely making up for my disappointment in XV2 though.
>>
>>865615
Earring fusion is just straight up better now
