Quest Intro

You are Mikage Chiba, second year high school student, fifteen years old. You used to be the third woman to carry the mantle of the magical guardian of love and justice known as Sailor Moon, after your mother and older sister. A year and a half ago you had a traumatic experience fighting the corpse of the father of your best friend, struggled victory leaving you thinking you had killed the
man you had set out to save and prompting you to abandon your heritage. More than that, the relating emotional collapse lead you to abandoning yourself. Developing disguises and personas to inhabit and do the things you could not in secret, to live while you let yourself wither, you carried on.

Now you know the truth and have been taking measures to put yourself back together, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones. More than that you’ve been doing your best to support your younger sister, Koyomi, as she has become the fourth to carry the title as Sailor New Moon.

Quest Start

The three of you walk through the city still clad in your school uniforms, acting without the chance to go home and change into more casual wear for the rest of the afternoon. Your destination is first an University Art studio where you are set to meet up with Hisako Ito, then you’ll head over to meet her roommate and your friend Hanako Minami. In hopes to sort her infection by the enemy before she turns into a monster of negative emotion.

On your left, Midori Mori flips her shoulder length crinkled blonde hair in a fashion you’d almost call a nervous tick as her otherwise confident stride keeps up with your own, exceeded only by the intensity of her expression. Midori has a tendency toward being serious, especially since becoming your Jadeite Knight, and this matter hit close enough to her to make her deadly serious.

On your right, Saori Umeki slouches and moves out a half step back from both of you. She’s still doubting herself after the matter of free period earlier this afternoon in school. A matter you are still perhaps a bit sore over. No matter, it’s important to keep her nearby for now. At least until you reach Ito-san.

You’ll need that woman’s help to reach Minami-san should she be close to turning.

Still, what to do on the way…

>Just keep walking in silence toward your destination
>Ask Umeki-san how thing are going since she was roped into modelling
>Pick Midori’s brain over Ito-san being a candidate for Kunzite Knight
>Try and talk to both girls about the embarrassing debacle from earlier
>>cling to being upset
>>Let go of the upset and be teasing

Well, there is still a bit of a walk to get to the studio you’ll be meeting Ito-san at. You’d rather not make the whole walk in total silence. And even if Midori was confident in how much she wasn’t involved in the matter of gawking at you and Yoshi with the others, she has some culpability.

You aren’t quite so upset, but you have a petty tinge and want for retribution from both of the girls present. Keiko too, but she’ll have to wait for later.

“So, what was the general tone of things up there,” you ask after both girls, “You know, in the hall at the window?”

Midori falters as you sweep your eyes over to her.

“I imagine you’d have a better beat on that than Saori here,” you offer as the blonde girl loses step but not composure as you gesture over toward Saori, “Or were you too caught up in being annoyed at her comparing me and Yoshi to some Otome game?”

“Well,” Midori shakes her head and screws her face in mild annoyance, “I don’t see why you’re trying to put any of this one me,”

Hmmm, a deflection.

“Yeah, she would be pretty annoyed at that,” Saori pipes in as both of you glance over to her, “What, I have no idea if she was annoyed or not. My attention was elsewhere,”

You wilts a bit at your nonplussed expression, shifting and sidestepping from beside you back around to the other side of Midori. From this buffer, she leans forward as if she were hiding behind the shorter girl to steal a glimpse of you.

Rolling your eyes, you keep walking.

“Whatever, now I get to be the biggest piece of gossip in our grade,” you grumble.

“Well, it’s totally drowning out the shock of me and Keiko,” Midori sighs, with a certain relieved smugness.

“Are you seriously going to try and ride my own embarrassment out for your own gain?” you pout, forcefully.

“That’s,” she looks over downcast, “that’s just for survival. My dad won’t be home for a while yet and if people aren’t talking about me when Keiko then I won’t have to worry about him finding out,”

She steels herself as Saori continues to try and hide beside her.

“So yeah, I’ll be as opportunistic as the gossip machine will let me be,” she says with a haughty tone like she would toward you and Kairi when she treated the both of you rather unfairly; though this time with the reason out in the open and an obvious undercurrent of personal doubt.

“Like I said before, Betrayal,” you smile over at both of them teasingly, though a smug and lidded gaze of your own, “Or maybe that means I get to be popular now or something,”

“AH! What’s this turnabout!” Saori points at you accusingly before whimpering into Midori as she grips unintentionally with her nails into the other girl’s arm and shoulder, “We’ve been played!”
>>
>>856244

“Arm, ARM!” Midori flails to extract herself as you laugh at the two.

“Listen, Midori,” you offer as the three of you fall back in step, “If anything happens with your dad, you know all of us will have your back,”

“Yeah...I know that,” she huffs and rubs the sore spot on her arm.

“And Saori,” you question the other girl, perhaps solely to tease Midori, “Exactly what Otome game did you think Yoshi and I were aping?”

It doesn’t take long, especially with Saori’s extensive comparison to any number of potentially sugar inducing or lewdly suggestive dating sim games to pass the time, to reach the studio where you intend to meet up with Ito-san at Midori’s arrangement.

The way into the studio is an open delivery bay, at least while in use, as you find it within the repurposed industrial building any number of student and professional artists in small fenced off workshops doing this or that. Large scale clay sculptures. Avante garde body painting being pressed to canvas. Elaborate construction projects reminiscent of certain anatomy. And where Midori leads you, blinding sparks.

Twisting metal, black and chrome in different measure, stands as a wide set spire within the space. Broad and brutal architecture, a flower bursting forth in winding vines from a mock frame in effigy of the metro building.

She stands on a ladder, large visor slit black mask and heavy apron concealing her form as arclight and spikes dance before her. The wild white hair is bound tightly behind her, pulled back and resting low on her back to avoid the showering sparks at her front.

Saori catches herself, starts backpedaling toward the door and says she’ll hang back from here. Honestly you’d forgotten about that too amid conversation. Just as well that she hasn’t been seen by Ito-san yet. Her focus solely on the project.

You take a few steps forward, though not blindly and giving the sparks a wide berth as you start to circle the sculpture. What is the purpose of the flower bursting out of the metro building? A critique of women bursting through the government office? Maybe it’s an environmental commentary on law and society?

Either way you find the piece fascinating.

Midori is initially shocked that you would venture so close to the being worked upon sculpture, as you inspect it’s depth and content.

“Whoa, careful there,” calls the artist as the arclight ceases and the shielded visor is tipped back, certain recollection crosses her face as she sees you and Midori trailing just after about to grasp at your arm, “Miks, Jade, hey. Did you two just get out of class or something? Well whatever. Was just squeezing in a bit more work before you girls swung by,”

Holstering the capped welding device in her apron, she descends the ladder and entirely removes her welding visor.

“Well it still looks amazing,” you offer, ignoring her comment about the two of you still being high schoolers, “And it’s Miki,”

“Yeah, right,” she nods noncommittally as she heads over to stow her work gear into a few storage lockers in her space, “And thanks for the compliment, even if it’s still crap. So, you guys want another shot at Hanako?”

“Yes, we think if we talk together to her as friends we can find out what this is all about,” you offer solemnly, holding back the truth of things, “All of this, it isn’t like her,”

She pauses, hanging her apron in the locker and closing it poignantly.

“No, it really isn’t,” she huffs, “I’m sure Jade here told you all about last night,”

“I did,” Midori chimes in from just behind you, “And we aren’t letting our friend go so easily,”

“Yeah,” she muses as she shucks off her heavy working gloves and drops them on a work table, “Neither am I...I don’t know what got into her. It’s not that asshole she had over…”

She unbinds her hair, shakes it free and wild as it spreads and falls.

“But I know someone else who might be filling her with such a poisonous attitude,” she curses, “So if you two want to come along, we can catch her leaving class,”

She’s all action, and you can feel Midori actually shrinking behind you a bit. At least inwardly.
>>
>>856407

Ito-san grabs a light jacket and heads past you toward the door, the two of you falling quickly behind her as she locks the studio space behind you. Shrugging her shoulders leaving the building, she quickly presses a cigarette between her lips and pats herself a few moments for a light.

“Screw it,” she mumbles and pockets it, “I don’t want to feel relaxed for this,”

There is an aggression to her step. However things are going to happen, if Minami-san hasn’t turned yet a forceful conflict might not be the best course. You weigh your options as the three of you take to the crowding streets, and you confirm that Saori is tailing your group at a distance as instructed.

>Question Ito-san’s decision not to calm her nerves
>Talk to her about the fashion circle and what Hanako’s friendship means to you
>Ask her about her own friendship with Hanako, try to calm her
>Demand that she try not to be tense, establish you aren’t someone to dismiss

“So, you know how we’re involved with Flowers,” you ask to a brief confusion on the older girl’s face that slides into remembering her roommate's nickname, “but how did the two of you become friends anyway? I hope you can forgive me for saying, but the two of you don’t seem the type to get along,”

She laughs at that. Not the exultant and mad laugh she had going into her street fight with the red eyed beast. This is more human, warm.

“We really don’t seem it, do we,” she concedes and shoves her hands into her jean pockets, “I dunno, just kind of happened because we were forced into some of the same spaces,”

“Well, tell us about it,” you question, stepping up alongside her while Midori follows suit opposite you..

“Yeah, I wondered about that myself,” your Knight asks sliding forward a bit with a dubious curiosity about her, “I mean, she’s normally a complete marshmallow and you’re terrifying,”

“Midori,” you duck down and hiss at her across Ito-san’s chest, “You can’t just call her terrifying,”

“She’s the Winter Wolf,” Midori hisses back, “Of course she’s terrifying,”

“Come on kids,” Ito-san sighs and smiles in a proud frustration as she grabs the back of both your collars and pulls you both upright in a sudden and unthreatening tug, “Of course I’ll tell you, and of course I’m terrifying,”

Her grin is wide. Wider than her mid fight craze when you squared off against her in the Red Eyed Beast’s last grasp of violence. Her eyes take on a wistful quality as she recounts things.

“We were in detention together,” she begins and releases the two of you, “For different reasons entirely, back in highschool. She was caught misusing school resources to make custom accessories and I was…”

She chuckles to herself, dryly.

“I was there because I bloodied the nose of a teacher who had it out for me. Got into a fight during lunch just to get him to intervene so I could say it was an accident,” she seems oddly proud of that, “Anyway, we had some time forced together and it just kind of happened over time. She would tell me all about her jewelry and fashion junk, I would talk about the girl gang scene and we just started hanging out away from detention,”

There is a gap to her step as the two of you have to turn to look at her where she stopped.

“We just fell in step with one another. She had her things, I had mine, and then when I started cleaning up my act we got into university together,” she huffs, “She’s one of the few friends I’ve got, honestly. Everyone else just kind of drifts away,”

“Maybe you should remind her what she means to you?” you offer as you send a text message to the others to let them know where you’re heading.
>>
>>856829

She nods and starts walking forward between the two of you, stopping to poke Midori in the chest.

“That’s good advice, Miks. Oh, and by the way Jade,” she smirks, “I think I finally remember where I recognized you from, one of those middle schoolers who was trying to muscle in on my turf before I moved on to University,”

“What?! No! I mean, you’re crazy,” Midori takes an uncharacteristically nervous tone of worry as Ito turns away from her and steps forward and away from the two of you.

“Yeah yeah, of course I am,” she says quite amused with herself, “Crazy enough to tie someone to a playground swing by their hair. You should have kept it long, blondie,”

You look over to Midori questioningly.

“Don’t you start to,” she sulks.

And you move onward toward your destination, Hisako successfully diffused.

When you arrive to the academic building several blocks away, the three of you wait near the main entrance. It’s about time for the classes to let out, and as you arrive a few groups of students start filtering out heading toward dinner or home or yet more classes in different buildings.

Except you don’t see Flowers, Hanako Minami, anywhere among those leaving.

“Huh, she shouldn’t be staying late,” Ito-san wonders aloud.

“Let’s go up,” you motion toward the building, “check the lecture room,”

The three of you get in thanks to Ito’s student ID. You shoot a text off to Umeki-san, letting her know that you’ll be heading up into the building and to wait near the entrance for the rest of your to get down.

The class is on the seventh floor, Ito-san makes a beeline for the elevator and she and Midori pile into the small space. Small for an elevator at least.

“Shouldn’t someone check the stairs in case she comes,” Ito-san and Midori stare at you, blankly, “Okay, fine, nevermind,”

The doors slide closed after you, some odd deja vu striking you with uncertain foreboding. As the counter ticks up the three of you stand amid that uncertainty and quiet punctuated by chime.

First.

Second.

Third.

Fourth.

Shudder and crash. Its feels as though the building rocks as within the small cage you are bounced up and down with tremors back and forth. This is an academic building, a university building. Built to withstand earthquakes during the bubble economy. Though this was no earthquake, sudden and quick as emergency alarms sound; likely tripped by whatever set upon the building.

So tight with the three of you, and your reactions on instinct quick enough to prevent yourselves from taking painful impact.

“DAMNIT!” Hisako calls out in fury and worry as the shaking subsides with that initial jerk and digs her fingers in between the line where the doors meet.

It gives quite readily, and though you are between floors there is enough of the next door up exposed to escape if it were to be forced open.

Gaining your own wits back you spring to your own sense of action.

“Give me a boost,” you call, and provide the necessary force to open the next door sup.

Not safe, to be certain as the three of you squeeze out of the elevator in certain danger. However no sooner are the three of you upon solid ground Hisako Ito breaks in a run for the stairwell. White mane of hair trailing behind her as she turns up the squaring incline open to the hallway against a sudden tide of teachers and students heading down. She seems to slow her step only to take stock of those in that throng, looking for a familiar face.

It isn’t a beat later that you and Midori are following her against that current. It isn’t much longer before it thins and the three of you are more easily able to gain speed.

Fifth

Sixth

Another shuddering, shaking, and crash as something seems to explode above.

Seventh. At desperate speed and worry does she ahead of you press on to seventh.

Following Hisako on the floor toward the destination she knows, this floor seems far more disheveled than the previous two. The window walls into the lecture hall she ducks into are blown out, as is a building facing wall.

Someone you can only assume to be the professor, or whatever lead this class or workshop heaves and breaths with a heavy groan from behind a table knocked over. Hisako, rising from checking the downed soul, looks about the room in worry as her eyes stare out the missing wall.

There are gouges amid the desks and tables. Floor and ceiling. Three marks in tandem clawed into the surface like so many spears arrayed alongside each other.

You see what she sees in the onsetting orange twilight. A dark misshapen thing hurtling away from this place low to the skyline of the city on spread and beating wings.

It roars in the distance, craning its neck low over the city and then letting loose a stream of triumphant fire aimlessly into the air.

Dragon. You were too late, and this was the thing Flower’s had become by the touch of Chaos.

Ito-san...Hisako screams not in terror, but in rage toward the retreating thing in the sky. Bristling with anger as your hand drifts first to your locket, and then to your phone.

Thread Resume

The ruined lecture hall surrounds you, but falls away as you look on in the distance at the huge figure retreating across the sky. Even at this distance, you know enough to call it a dragon as wings beat and both tail and neck sway and crane. Your hand slides to your phone, texts from the Saori below and the Senshi nearby.

Midori has knelt down next to the groaning teacher, checking him for injury and helping him up. Hisako Ito stands closer to the massive crashed gap in the outer wall of the building staring out at the dragon with fists clenched. She approaches the ledge and looks down, once, before zeroing back in on the dragon.

In the distance it swoops low and banks between buildings, your line of sight to it broken.

Glancing back to your phone you quickly ingest what you’ve been sent. Saori messaged asking if the three of you were okay. Kairi messaged to inform you that Keiko is trying to keep pursuit and eyes on the monster.

Ito’s hair bristles as she turns and swings. There is a focus, starkly different from that time you fought with her. She heads toward the door back into the glass filled hallway.

As Hisako Ito passes you, your eyes linger on the scar you left on her cheek. This drive, colder than when she was just in a frenzy of want for violence, gives you pause. Worry for the safety of the young woman before you who you know isn’t thinking straight.

“What do you think you can do?” you ask her plainly, turning away from her to look upon the ruin of the class and the extending cityscape of Tokyo.

She stops. Midori looks over to the both of you as she helps the Professor up.

Hisako Ito takes a deep breath and then continues with slow deliberate steps toward the door.

“I don’t put much stock in whether I think I can do something or not,” she says simply through tense teeth, “I’m going to do whatever I can to find my friend. She wasn’t downstairs and she’s not on the pavement...so whatever. You kids should head home,”

You could stop her. Either by word or action, your options are legion. However you instead let her go. She will be on her own and have no reliable way to track this thing, to say nothing of catching up on it.

Her words ring a moment in your head as she vanishes down the stairwell, that you ‘kids’ should go home. Frankly you’re uncertain if her saying that is insulting or responsible.

“Midori,” you say with certainty and begin to leave the room, she catches up with you at the open door as the two of you make to climb the stairs.

“Seriously, she told us to go home,” Midori grumbles, “Was it really a good idea to let her go?”

“If we had her stick with us, we’d either be bringing her into certain danger or keeping her and ourselves away from things,” you sigh, “It’s better this way...now we have to follow and catch up to Keiko and that Dragon,”

Alone together in the stairwell as you climb toward the roof, Midori Mori passes through her own transformation and mid stride continues alongside you as your Jadeite Knight.

Coordinating by phone with the others, from the rooftop the two of you break into a leaping run and begin navigating the cityscape toward the others. Traffic below is mired from the amazing sight that had passed above as emergency services in connection to the Paranormal Incident Task Force mobilize.

It will take a few minutes to catch up to Nephrite Knight and the Sailor Senshi. No telling how far ahead Sailor Sol and the Dragon that was Hanako Minami will be...you are perhaps a bit jealous of the her ability to fly.

Though you worry she may not be able to stay airborne quite as long as the dragon she tracks.

Not forgetting about your spymaster, mid leap across the roadways below, you shoot Saori Umeki a message with instructions.

The wind flutters around your dark robes as you and Jadeite Knight land in a crouch and leap off again. With quick words you instruct Umeki-san to follow after Hisako Ito. To keep you posted on her movements, though with a warning after how skilled the girl is at noticing her surroundings.

After a few minutes you are clear across town, still no sign of the dragon since you lost sight of it from the classroom but clear signs of its passing. Clawed billboards, damaged rooftops, and incidental licks of flame.

“On your left!” Zoisite Knight calls out as his white trim cape waves over one of his shoulders and he lands in a running jump.

“And right!” Nephrite Knight cries out as she also drifts into your field of vision.

“Where are the Senshi?” questions Jadeite Knight to the others.

“About a block over and ahead,” Zoisite Knight explains clearing the space of an alleyway, “We saw you and wanted to lead you back over,”

“We lost sight of Sol a little while ago,” Nephrite Knight explains, “Mercury is keeping us on her tail though,”

Perhaps message Yoshi, ask where they are showing next?

“We’re keeping the groups separate,” you command, “Someone message Sailor Moon’s Compact. We need to keep wide in case Flowers swings wide or doubles back,”

Zoisite Knight nods and sets to the task. As the lot of you race through the city and he directs you across a few specific steps. Looking over to your right side, you can see your younger sister and her transformed group also coursing over rooftops.

Night has taken the sky in full. The dark above reigns as the neon glow of the city cuts the world open beneath you. Somewhere between your two groups, you see a billboard torn violently asunder, the only things you can still make out of it is the imagery of a guitar.

Why would she…

A stray thought hits you. Flowers was becoming obsessed with someone, with Byakuya Hoseki from Malefic Black. A man who you know dreams of a terrible alternate possible future...of his life as Prince Demand of Nemesis.

While the Dragon shape and the confirmation of your father revealed Hanako Minami would have become Esmeraude of Nemesis.

Taking out your phone, you dial mid run.

“Eclipse, what are you-,” Jadeite Knight questions.

“She might be going after Byakuya Hoseki,” you explain in a rush, “I have a theory,”

It rings twice before Yoshi picks up on the other end, and you relax into your normal voice. Though admittedly rushed and breathing with certain heaviness.

“Mikage? Is everything alright?” he questions without a greeting, hearing your breathing and the wind on the receiver.

Besides him you hear another tone in your ear. A notification from Lurk. You’ll check it later.

“No, it’s a life or death emergency. Are Malefic Black playing anywhere tonight?” you explain in a rush.

“What? No, not on a Monday,” he surmises quickly, not questioning your request, “I don’t know them very well, but I can make a few calls,”

The line goes quiet. It wasn’t a useless act but you’ve no way of knowing just yet if it’ll help and pay off.

“Oh of course she’d go after her pretty boy crush,” Jadeite Knight groans, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

“High stress and uncertainty,” Nephrite Knight offers as the chase is punctuated by a distant roar.

Swinging your vision left, you see the banking shape of the dragon heading back the way you came several blocks over. It’s red mane along it's necks whipping in the wind.

“There it is!” you cry out, “Alert the others and pursue!”

No sooner does it pass do you see the brilliant halo of Sailor Sol in hot pursuit. There is a blaze of flame that streams over her as the Dragon your friend has becomes rolls in air and looks after its initial pursuer. As you fall in step and try to catch up you see Sailor Sol burst through the flame looking relatively no worse for wear.

Your phone still in your hand, you catch a glimpse of the Lurk notification. Spread across the dark neutral of your phone’s screen is a message from @reposyankee, Hisako Ito, to the Red Eyed Beast.

‘Want to fuck up a Dragon?’

Once we have a destination:
>Spell like abilities from Darkness each 1/day
>6th—shadow walk

Boom.

We can’t fly.

Ah, but we can move our whole group via Shadow Walk to get ahead.

I will say that I like the d20 write up a bit more than the Pathfinder one, doesn't account for differences in personal speed. But 50 mph is still decent.

Shortcut? Shortcut!

“Keep pursuit!” you call out as press onward from rooftop to rooftop.

In the distance you see Sailor Sol unleash a barrage of radiant beams of energy against the monster turned from a girl who once cheerfully gave her an overstuffed zipper bag of bangles and costume jewelry. Memories of your fight against Kairi-chan when she was turned flash through your perception...no.

You hate this. You absolutely hate when friends have to fight friends.

You hated it then, and you hate thinking about how many people lost personal bonds of trust when the spider infestation and infection took your school.

This Chaos that the enemy uses, the way they use people, and they way they’ve changed you...it fills you with disgust.

All you can think to do now is keep everyone together and moving toward that monster bleeding out the worst in someone you care about. Someone who is one of your friends even if you don’t always see eye to eye. Someone who was your friend when you needed them, when you were someone else.

Gripping again the phone still in your hand, you reach your other hand forward and lay a hand on Nephrite Knight’s shoulder.

“Guide me, I need to split my attention,” you say seriously, “Working another lead on where the hell she’s going and I need to type,”

“Roger that, my Liege,” Kairi-chan glances back over her shoulder, and through her gilded fiery mask offers you a supportive and confident wink.

That fight and all that came after it robbed you of your bonds with Kairi-chan for too long…

Opening your phone you find another notification for some kind of shared real time chat map service...sent as a request straight to your voice mailbox? Did Saori set this up?

The application downloads quickly enough, and it’s a time stamped list of GPS check in points throughout the city. Leading in a mostly straight path from the University to Tokyo Midtown.

Saori is trailing Ito-san, and Ito-san is on the move with purpose. Maybe she knows something about Byakuya.

You respond to her message inquiry in what you suppose will be an unexpected and direct manner from your Red Eyed Beast account on Lurk.

‘What do you know about Byakuya Hoseki?’

‘Okay, I get that you’re psychic but that is just creepy,’ she responds quickly.

‘Explain,’ you say succinctly.

‘Dragon attack, couldn’t find my friend, can’t reach her by phone. Going to that jerk’s apartment to see if she’s there,’ her first message is followed by another as you hear the nearing sortie of helicopter blades, ‘If not, need to fight a dragon,’
>>
>>860062

The helicopters won’t fire...not in the middle of a populated area. At least not yet. All damage has been superficial so far and you don’t think anyone’s been seriously hurt.

You can’t help but crack a smile at her determination. And you wonder if your question early sent her off to find that boy instead of go straight after the Dragon. It’s a thoughtful move as you glance up at the dragon, banking through buildings and looking down.

When you first started roof hopping, you remember it being disorienting. You weren’t accustomed to that view of the world or how to arrange where you were and wanted to go...she’s been circling.

Getting her bearings.

And she’ll be on the direct move soon.

Another exchange of fire and radiant bolts of energy happens ahead and you notice Sailor Sol’s blinding halo descending. Seems she’s run the course of her energy as she lands on a rooftop ahead. Flower’s dragon pays her no further mind.

You receive a text alert. From Yoshi. An apartment address near Midtown Tokyo.

>Regroup on Sailor Sol’s landing point
>Break away, it won’t be circling much longer and you might be able to head it off
>Redirect everyone toward Midtown
>Gather everyone together and use a power to Shadow Walk to midtown
>Write in

&

>Warn Ito-san that everyone in Hoseki’s building is in danger

Think we can take seven with us. Leave some to follow and help with collateral damage?

>Warn Ito-san that everyone in Hoseki’s building is in danger
Pull a fire alarm, call in a threat, whatever.

Side note: We'll need to ask @repostyankee to NOT mention Red Eyes being involved.

The power, activated via planet/mythic power, operates at its minimum normal to cast caster level.

>minimum normal to cast caster level
I am not sure what that is off-hand, but I'd still suggest at least a volunteer on pursuit.

>>860107
Also a good point about finding a good intercept point.
>>
>>860178
Shadow walk is a 6th level spell. In 3.5 derivative when spell effects depend on level, they are a number generated by the character's level in the class that allows it to cast magic. There are nominally 9 spell levels gained at a staggered rate over 20 character levels for full casters. This means the minimum level to have access to 6th level spells is 11th. You have access to the spell from the mythic tier system that allows you to cast it as a spell like ability, and it will function at the minimum caster level required to cast it as it would otherwise be well beyond a 7th level character's ability.
>>
The only thing to do now is to cut this dragon off at the pass. You need to get to Midtown before it knows how to get to where it wants to go. After who it wants.

“I’m rerouting. We’ll never catch it like this and now I know where it’s heading,” you explain in a steady voice, “Jadeite Knight, go tell Sailor Sol. Zoisite Knight, let Sailor Moon and the Senshi know we’re heading north. Toward Midtown,”

Everyone nods as you change direction, Midori breaking off from your group to touch base with the seemingly fatigued Keiko. The Senshi will catch up with everyone soon enough, but at the going rate, once Hanako has her bearings she’ll overtake you in minutes.

Maybe you’ll luck out and you’ll come across a park. What you wouldn't do for a well placed park…

That’s a best case scenario. For now, you’ll prepare for the worst case and send off one final message to @repostyankee.

‘Everyone in that apartment building is in danger. The party is coming your way,’ you explain vaguely but seriously and return to the newly prepared run across tarmac and concrete.

Hoping to arrive in the speed of time.

Oh neat, I think I found a reason to like Pathfinder's version of Shadow Walk more:
>Shadow walk can also be used to travel to other planes that border on the Plane of Shadow, but this usage requires the transit of the Plane of Shadow to arrive at a border with another plane of reality. The transit of the Plane of Shadow requires 1d4 hours.
Maybe that can be used to transit to Dream Elysium, if we need to.

Also might explain the route Hiddenite used to bring Helios across.

I hope all my countrymen and women had a pleasant Thanksgiving while also being mindful of history and current events; meanwhile I am starring at my quest doc and have been unable to write for shit for the past several hours.

Fuck fuckity fuck I can not fucking write for shit tonight.

Fuck.

Meanwhile I had a pleasant dinner with immediate family. Now I plan not to support any national chains tomorrow and will throw money at some local small businesses including my FLGS Saturday.
