[Please note that Titanfall Lore is pretty sketch outside the Frontier and the game, so I'm going to filling in the blanks as plausibly as possible.]

Before Typhon, before Demeter. Even before the Titan Wars had first begun, there was Earth. A tiny blue speck that dreamed of no longer seeing the stars, but to touch them.

That dream had came true.

Where were you born?
>Within the Core Worlds [+1 Charisma and Lore]
>In the Outer Worlds [+1 Athletics and Guts]
>Out there, in the Void between Stars [+1 Subterfuge and Wits]

And how did you live?
>In the rich upper class, away from the dregs of society. [+2 Charisma]
>Somewhere in the middle class, where everyday was a struggle to meet the needs of the many. [+1 Athletics, +1 Wits]
>In the seedy underbelly. Forgotten, and forgettable. [+1 Subterfuge and Guts]

I was wondering about that...

Thanks

You were born on a planet known as Aurelion. It was once a verdant world filled with fine greenery. Now it is an urban landscape filled with towers that could nearly reach the skies.

Industrial progress and whatnot.

You family worked to themselves to the bone to provide for you, and then you worked yourself just as hard to provide a stable life for yourself.

And then something went wrong.

>Wrong place. Wrong time. You had to go underground.
>You spited your boss, and then shagged his wife. Not a smart move, but oh so worth it.
>You found a peculiar package...

One day, after a long day of work, you stumbled upon a package. A tiny little thing in black metal box. There was a lock on it, and it fitted nicely in your backpack. So you took it.

At home you fiddled with the lock and after an hour or so you managed to crack it.

When it opened, it was filled with...
>Money, more than you could possibly earn in a single year let alone a month.
>A human brain.

>>
>>856925
Isn't that what they always do?
>>
A brain. A fucking brain in a case of synthetic liquid. The damn thing even comes with a health monitor to make sure it doesn't decay or some shit.

It's all rather mortifying to witness.

You never saw the person sneaking up behind you to knock you out.

When you wake up you find yourself strapped to a chair, surrounded by men in black suits and white masks. And they looked pissed.

And impressed.

They were not expecting you unlock the box.

And that's how you somehow joined Vinson Dynamics prototype simulacrum division.

> Vinson Dynamics approval raised by 1.

At first they simply trained you as a grunt specializing in:
>Heavy Weapons [+1 Accuracy, +1 Athletics, +1 Guts, gain specialization: Heavy Weapons]
>Sniping [+2 Accuracy, +1 Wits, gain specialization: Sniper Rifles]
>Demolitions [+2 Guts, +1 Athletics, gain specialization: Demolitions]

You always had good eyes, and your new... employers... also noticed that as well.

So that's how you learned to view the world from a sniper's scope, and it was a visceral experience. Over the years you helped Vinson Dynamics pull off a variety of clandestine operations ranging from observation to assassinating "non-conformists".

In other words: terrorists.

However, one particular mission stood out from the rest, and that mission was when you had to-
>Give overwatch to person of "extreme importance" for VD.
>You had to assassinate the daughter of anti-simulacrum group.
>You had to use your eagle eyes to spy on a particular terrorist. Your father.

His name is Jameson Durand, and he was a scientist. A damned good one.

From the report you learned that he was nearing a breakthrough with some form of "living metal" tech. Tech that should not be theoretically possible for at least another century.

And Vinson Dynamics wanted it badly. And so did their competitors.

But now... you had to watch. Not shoot. And you saw something through your binoculars.
>Turns out there were some assassins after him...
>Funny enough how Hammond Robotics is good at that whole kidnapping shtick...

Assassins. Of course.

Slaughterhouse Five in specific. An infamous group of 'assassins' that are better known for sending a message via high explosives and massive collateral damage than doing subtly.

You have no idea why they had come for Jameson, but you had to make a decision. Now.

>You belayed your orders and moved in to extract him.

Fuck your bosses orders. You're going to save that man, or die trying.

And you nearly did.

A fast car followed by a quick quip and a demand for Jameson to get in, followed by gunfire. Lots of it. You then remember speeding across the narrow alleyways before hitting the main road. And then something hitting you. Hard.

You crawl from the wreckage, wounded, and bleeding badly. A piece of shrapnel lodged into your gut. It didn't take long for the S5 to find you, and for them to taunt you for being a complete and utter idiot.

Those smiles were wiped right off their faces when .50 caliber shots went right through their skulls.

You fainted shortly after that. And then woke up in a medical bed with about thirty different tubes and cables stuck into you.

Your superiors were pissed at you, and pleased for some reason. While Jameson was critically wounded thanks to your recklessness, they finally had an opening to extract him from the carnage the S5, and you, had wrought.

Even better, they could finally test some of their newest cybernetic implants on you since you were catatonic for nearly a year. And to test out your new implants, they slotted you to the IMC Academy that specializes in training Pilots.

And that is how you became a cyborg, and how you also became a Pilot before the Titan Wars had begun.

>To be continued.
>>
>>857525
>And that is how you became a cyborg, and how you also became a Pilot before the Titan Wars had begun.

Megacorps. Can't live with them, can't live without them because they'll murder you if you try.

All right guys, that'll be all for tonight. The rest of the character creation will be done tomorrow followed by the game being run sometime on Thursday.

For those wanting to be there when the quest begins, I'll have a discord (and maybe a twitter) for those wishing to follow.

>>857525
Thank you for running.
>>

Discord link since apparently Twitter hates me at this very moment. Mind you, there is also some stuff about discussion and the like and I'll get an archive page up soon.
>>

Annnd twitter is up.
